Mayor Bass Sides with the Rioters

Good morning, Cooner. Contrary, Okay, my friends, holy mackerel. In
some ways last night was a better night. It is
subsiding a little bit. There is still a lot of
violence in Los Angeles, no question about it. It is
not as bad as it was a couple nights before.

So the presence of now four thousand National Guard troops
and from what the media is reporting, at least seven
hundred marines are going to be deployed to the streets
of LA today is starting to slowly but surely stabilize
and quell the situation. But even last night and throughout

(00:44):
the day, there were constant clashes with law enforcement with
National Guard troops. Fireworks were being thrown again, pieces of concrete, rocks,
glass bottles, Police officers were pelt for the first time.
Gun Shots were fired at the National Guard and at

law enforcement officers. As I put up on x at
about maybe ooh eight o'clock last night, maybe eight thirty.
Video now is emerging, multiple videos in fact of masked men,
these protesters dressed in black faces, covered with handguns, firing

now at National Guard troops. You can see them with
their holding their guns and they're just letting it rip.

Boom boom, boom boom.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
So now it's not just bricks, rocks, molotov cocktails, it
is now bullets. So clearly there is still a very dangerous,
volatile situation. In response, Karen Bass has now declared an
emergency for about one square mile in downtown LA and

she ordered a curfew last night from eight pm local
time to six am.

In the morning. I guess what is it.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
It's about three o'clock now in La so it's still
got about three more hours left to go. But anyway,
from eight pm to six in the morning, so there
is a curfew now in place.

Now. What is also happening.

Is there were other pro illegal alien, pro criminal, anti
ice protests that erupted across the country as well. In
most places peaceful, some places you saw clashes between protesters,
rioters and law enforcement. In Boston there was a demonstration

right at the State House by the Party of Socialism
and Liberation. They showed up these are the people in
many ways causing the violence in LA so they protested
here in Boston. There were also there was a huge
protest in New York City. For the most part, little damage,
little violence, Seattle, Omaha, Nebraska, Chicago, Atlanta. However, there were

big protests and Atlanta in particular, protesters clashed with police,
throwing molotov cocktails, throwing fireworks. Some businesses were burned, some
cars were burned. Police had to use tear gas and
flashbangs to disperse the crowd, but overall, the epicicenter still

remains Los Angeles. We are now going on five six
days NonStop rioting, looting. You're seeing video images now of
stores being cleaned out. They're stealing sneakers, they're going into cvs,
they're going into I swear to you a sushi restaurant,

sushi so I don't know if they like the ahituna
or whatever, but they're cleaning out even the sushi restaurants.
And of course constant clashes between National Guard troops now
law enforcement and rioters and protesters who increasingly now are

(04:24):
openly saying California is Mexican land. Los Angeles is Mexican territory.
They say that this is stolen land, hence Ice has
no place there. In fact, National Guard troops have no
place there because now essentially this belongs to Mexico. It

is an insurrection. There is a sea of Mexican flags,
and you're now starting to see flags from.

Guatemala as well.

Now in the wake of all of this, the mayhem,
the violence, the tear gas, the burning, the looting, Karen Bass,
who is a card carrying member of the Communist Party
for decades, a die hard member of the Communist Party,

you have to understand what we're dealing with. A mayor
who was so freaking incompetent that when they had the
huge wildfires that burned parts of La to the ground,
she didn't even have water in the fire hydrants and
even when told repeatedly you need to fill up the
fire hydrants with water. If there's going to be another

big wildfire, this thing could be I mean, it could
light up entire areas and neighborhoods. What did she do.
She went to fly to Africa as their city was burning.
She was partying in Africa. Okay, that's Karen Bass for you. Well,
the Kamie now issued a threat, a naked threat. She

wants Ice out of La, she wants the Feds out
of La, she wants the National Guard out of Los Angeles.
And the narrative, now that the Democrats are pushing that
senior California officials are pushing that the media is pushing

is literally the inverse of the truth. They're now arguing
incredibly that the rioting, the chaos, the looting, the burning,
the assaults on the federal ICE buildings, the attacks on
ICE and law enforcement were caused by Donald Trump, that

all of this violence was sparked by Trump. That by
bringing in the National Guard, by calling in the Marines,
he is sowing terror, fear, chaos, and their violence is
a reaction to Trump.

I swear to you to Trump, Trump is to blame.

And so now Karen Bass came out yesterday and issued
a direct threat saying the violence will continue, the rioting
will continue, the insurrection will continue unless ICE completely withdraws
from LA all the National Guard troops go, and you

stop enforcing immigration laws in Los Angeles. Get Ice out
and there will be peace.

If Ice remains, the violence, the rioting, the insurrection will continue.

We need to stop. The raids should not be happening
in our city. It is not warranted and it does
the only thing it does is contribute to chaos. This
was chaos that was started in Washington, DC on Thursday.
The city was peaceful on Friday, it was not because

of the intervention of the federal government.

This is unbelievable. This is really unbelievable. Now, this is
very very important. Now, Okay, what they're saying now, this
is why this is an absolute rubicon and they've pretty
much now crossed it. What they're saying is that ICE

does not have jurisdiction in Los Angeles, that ICE doesn't
have jurisdiction in California, that federal immigration law does not
apply in California, that are laws that are sovereignty, that
in fact, the election results of twenty twenty four do

not apply to California. That's what she and Newsom are saying.
That they have the right, according to them, this is
what they're now arguing, that they have the right to
import unlimited amounts of illegal alien foreigners into California and
then by extension from California into the country, and that

there is nothing the federal government should do about it
or can do about it. What they're saying is the
country may have voted to end the invasion under Donald Trump,
but they are not going to respect the election results
of twenty twenty four. The invasion will continue, and they

will protect the invaders and make make sure that they
are not expelled or deported from our country.

As Stephen Miller, the Deputy Chief of Staff that Donald
Trump rightly said, this is the definition of an insurrection. Now,
what Karen Bass is doing is she is now openly collaborating,
openly siding with the rioters and the criminals and the

terrorists and the insurrectionists that are rampaging and running wild
in Los Angeles and now increasingly in cities around the
entire country.

I don't know what else this woman has to do.
It's time to arrest Karen Bass. Okay, this is now
the nullification crisis of twenty twenty five. We've had a
previous nullification crisis, and I'm going to talk about that
later in the show.

As an American historian.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
As I taught at McGill University, I used to teach
about this all the time. It was in eighteen thirty two,
eighteen thirty three under then at President Andrew Jackson. The
state that time was South Carolina, and they were nullifying
the Tariff Act. They did not want the tariff imposed
on South Carolina, and so they came up with this

theory of nullification, meaning federal law, federal jurisdiction, federal sovereignty
does not apply to the state of just to the
state of South Carolina. And so this has been done before,
and it was led by John C. Calhoun, who was
previously Andrew Jackson's vice president. Well, let me tell you

how Jackson resolved the issue. You can look it up.
Don't take my word for it. Jackson said, if I
see Calhoun, I'm going.

To hang him.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
He threatened to hang Calhoun, and he said, either you
guys back down in South Carolina, or I'm sending in
the full US military and I'm going to crush you
and South Carolina. For a while, they backed down, they backpedaled,
and they rescinded their nullification. But as any historian of
the Civil War will tell you, that initial massive nullification

battle of eighteen thirty two eighteen thirty three really set
the stage eventually for the Civil War. Many historians say
that was the first shot, I mean, the political shot
of the Civil War. Now, my point being, John Hinderaker
makes the same thing on power Line. He makes a
brilliant column. He's written a brilliant column on this saying

this is California's nullification crisis of twenty twenty five. Sanctuary cities,
sanctuary states are just a much more dishonest way of
saying nullification. Say what you want about the South Carolinians.
At the time, they were intellectually honest. In other words, yeah,

we're nullifying, we're nullifying. We're just nullifying federal law. I
don't care if Congress passed it. I don't care if
the President signed it. I don't care about the law.
We're nullifying it. They hide behind this fiction, this legal
fiction of a sanctuary city. It doesn't exist, a sanctuary state,
it doesn't exist. What it is, it's nullification. And that's

what Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom. It's now taken to
its logical end. Federal immigration law does not govern in LA.
That's what they're saying. Federal immigration law does not govern
in California, And like South Carolina in eighteen thirty two
eighteen thirty three, you are not allowed to enforce federal

immigration law or national sovereignty or the authority of the
federal government in LA or in California. That's what they're
telling the government, Trump and the country it's nullification all
over again. That's what this is in a nutshell. And

so what Karen Bass is saying is now, if you
want the violence stand, Ice must leave LA. You can't
do any immigration enforcement none. Newsom is saying the exact
same thing. You don't you want peace, you want this

thing to nd no problem. Get the Feds, not just
a National Guard, Get the Feds, get Ice, get all
of this immigration enforcement out. We are a sanctuary state,
meaning we are nullifying the laws of the United States
that we don't like. We're nullifying federal authority, federal sovereignty,

and federal law. Now, I just want to read to you.
And Stephen Miller, by the way, has caught onto this completely.
He's another one that's using the term nullification, saying no,
this is just a repeat of history. And just so
that you know, the Mexican flag. This is why CNN
did a big piece and a big reportage segment on

why is it that the Mexican flag has now become
the symbol of these riots and this insurrection. Why well,
as Stephen Miller and others point out, and Hinderaker does
as well in his column, the Mexican flag is now
to this nullification movement. What the Confederate flag was to

South Carolina, it has become their symbol of secession, of nullification,
of defiance, literally, of treason of their allegiance in this
case Mexico to a foreign government and a foreign power.
Now listen to Stephen Miller and he called her out.

I played the cut where she said Ice has to leave.
If ICE doesn't leave, the violence won't stop. The violence
will continue as long as ICE continues to operate in La.

So here is what Stephen Miller wrote. Quote.

The threat being made here by Mayor Bass is explicit.
The Mayor of LA is effectively saying the mob violence
is caused by the mere presence of ICE in the
city of Los Angeles, and the violence against Ice will
not stop unless federal law enforcement is withdrawn from the city.

This is the definition of insurrection. Los Angeles and California
leadership demand the right to illegally import unlimited foreigners into
an America, to control America's entire immigration policy by FIAT,
and if they are not so permitted, they will allow

Los Angeles and California are demanding the nullification of the
election results, of federal law, of national sovereignty, and of

the bedrock constitutional command of one national government. He's he's
not one hundred, he's a thousand percent correct. Now Trump
has responded to this. He is livid. He knows Miller
is right. Okay, Frankly and his people listen to the show.
They know I'm right and John Hinderaker is right.

Now Trump is saying, you continue with this, I'm going
to invoke the Insurrection Act. I'm gonna go full Thunderdome
on LA in California. You're gonna have ten thousand troops,
fifteen thousand troops, and they're gonna stay until every single
illegal alien is deported. The American people in November voted

to end the border invasion. What Karen Bass, the Democrats, Newsom,
and the media are saying is they want the border
invasion to continue. They want the border invasion to stay.

Well, the Marines and the National Guard will get things
under control. There's a caveat to that, though, I guarantee

are praying one of these National Guards or Marines pulls

They are hoping for the optics. That is how pathetic

anti Ice protests across the country and Chicago it got violent.
Images now are coming out. It was very ugly. Again,
they were fighting with police officers, pelting them with rocks
and bricks. They had to use tear gas. Apparently now

the bomb squad in Chicago had to be called because
one of these anti Ice rioters went into the sewer
system and planted unidentified devices. They thought it could have
been a bomb, and so it was ugly in Chicago
Atlanta now they said parts of Atlanta resembled a war zone. Fireworks,

molotov cocktails being thrown by these anti Ice insurrectionists. They
were battling police in some cases street by street, neighborhood
by neighborhood. Larry, We've got the No King's massive demonstration
anti Trump, anti Ice coming up on Saturday, as Trump
is going to throw a big parade for the military.

It's going to be all over the country. It is
very well funded. Are we now seeing the hard left
try essentially to reduce Trump's presidency to rubble?

Yes, and as no pun intendent is going to blow
up in their face. You know, everyone is screaming, Oh,
he is so arrogant. He is having this on his birthday. Jeff,
what is Saturday?

Well, I think it's a two hundred and fiftieth anniversary
of the US Army.

is the day set aside to recognize the United States flag.
June fourteenth, So juxtapose the patriotism that Trump is trying
to show versus these idiots burning the American flag on Saturday,

CNN poll. They just pulled legal immigrants to the United States. Okay, immigrants,
legal immigrants by overwhelming numbers. They say illegal immigration is

now is the Democratic Party is committing political suicide right
in front of our eyes. And I guess the sixty
four thousand dollars. Question I have for you, Larry, is
it's now really become the American flag versus the Mexican flag.
Trump is going to celebrate Flag Day, the two hundred
and fiftieth anniversary of our US military. He's securing our borders.

And you have the other side who are not just rioting,
looting and burning, but literally have appropriated the symbol of Mexico,

right thing. He's getting rid of all these dangerous illegal aliens.
Ninety percent are now behind these acts, and now we're
just seeing the insane ten percent cawing and trying to
hold on to it. And how they think this is
a winning message is beyond me. But they painted themselves
into that corner and they can't get out, which is

hilarious and fun for us. But you know, minus any
chance of you know, getting caught up in any violence.

to spread it, this anarchy and lawlessness and violence to

talked about it yesterday where I spoke about my dad
when he used to travel off for his company, and
you know, he went to California often. He went to
La It was in the eighties and nineties, La San Francisco,

San Diego, San Jose, and he was like, it's it's
like God's gift to the world. He would come back
to you with these pictures. I couldn't believe how stunning
California was. And my dad would say, it's safe, it's clean.
You got to see how well manicured the lawns are.
People are so happy. He goes, my God, it's like

paradise on Earth. Well that was then. This is now
in three decades. Listen now to President Trump. This is
him yesterday on Fort Bragg. This is what he said
about Los Angeles Roll cut for in California in general,
roll cut for a Mike.

Within the span of a few decades, Los Angeles has
gone from being one of the cleanest, safest, and most
beautiful cities on Earth to being a trash heap, with
entire neighborhoods under the control of transnational gangs and criminal networks.

The entire world can now see, uncontrolled migration leads to chaos, dysfunction,

It really is God's truth. Has California been invaded by

transnational gangs, you better believe it. Many of them are
out there riding on the streets as you and I speak,
are East La, there are parts of Los Angeles. It
really it looks like, literally, it's like Tijuana. You bring

that's what's happened essentially to California. And he's right, it's
happening in Europe and major capitals all over the West.
And Trump is saying, I'm not going to allow this
to happen too my country anymore. So my question to you, Linda,
is California saveable? Is it salvageable? Can we rescue and

rebuild California? Or is it too late?

Linda, Well, I lived there for a time and I've

I don't want to go in and rescue another state
financially because of their political mismanagement.

an independent country no more wealthare do we have to
pay out. There no more subsidizing healthcare and everything like
that for people that come here illegally and see how

would join Mexico, like I really, In fact, they're openly
talking about it. There's a movement for California to secede.

And they openly say, even if they become independent, they go,
we're going to be bilingual Spanish and English, bicultural, with
very deep strong ties to Mexico. And I think California
would just become, in the end a northern province of Mexico.
And honestly, when you see all these rioters, that's what

many of them want. That's why they're chanting this is
stolen land. They want Mexico to retake California. Now I
don't get it, because they've all fled Mexico because it's
such it's a third world hell hole. So why would
you want to go back to being under the rule
of Mexico. But and why are you waving the flag

of a country that you fled? It makes no logical
sense to me. But hey, you're dealing with crazy moonbats.
And make no mistake about it, Linda, these are hardcore Marxists, socialists,
and anarchists. I mean, these are hard These are political lunatics.
