Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning, Cooner Country. Okay, a lot and I mean
a lot to talk about today. Joe Biden gave his
farewell foreign policy speech yesterday Ai yai yai, And of
course there's a lot more news regarding the California wildfires
and Gavin Newsom's plan to turn Los Angeles. He's now

(00:23):
made it open naked, blatant public into a so called
smart city under the United Nations Agenda twenty thirty. So
we've got a lot of big topics to talk about today.
But look, this is something that has been simmering for
many weeks now and it finally broke into the open.

(00:46):
If you remember, this was over the Christmas holidays. I
was away then obviously, so we didn't get a chance
to cover it. But there was a huge backlash and
I mean a massive backlash from MAGA and in particular
the base, the grassroots of the Make America Great Again

(01:07):
movement regarding comments made by Elon Musk and Vivike Ramaswami,
both of whom are going to be basically running DOGE
this new Department of Government efficiency and it has to
do with our entire immigration system, and really at its core,

(01:27):
it's not just about immigration. It's a philosophical difference in
how to the two camps view America, view the Trump presidency,
and view the MAGA movement itself. So, as many of
you know, Elon Musk and Vivike Ramaswami are big advocates

(01:49):
of skilled foreign immigration, and their argument is that we
need more skilled foreign immigrants, legal immigrants of But the
H one B VISA program in which they bring in
immigrants skilled immigrants stem in particular science, technology, electronics, mathematics,

(02:15):
they bring in it specialists, they bring in engineers. Silicon
Valley is hungry for bringing them in from India in particular,
but there's also China, countries all over the world, and
they're able to hire these skilled foreign immigrants really at
a third of the wage, not a half, but in

(02:38):
many cases a third of what they would pay American citizens.
And so what's happened now over the last twenty twenty
five years, as many of you know, is that American
citizens with very good college degrees, engineers, tech specialists, you
name it, many of them are unable to find work. Literally,

(03:04):
they're being pushed out of the job market. They have
to work as bartenders, they have to work as taxi drivers.
They have to work at McDonald's. And nothing wrong with
being a taxi driver. Obviously nothing wrong with being a bartender.
But these are people with advanced degrees who went to college,
a lot of them with college debt, mountains of college

(03:26):
debt to become engineers and tech specialists. That's what they
trained for, that's what they paid for, that's what they
got educated for. These are people with very advanced degrees
and they're unable to find work now. Elon Musk and
Vivek said, especially Viveke Ramaswami, that the problem is American culture. That,

(03:50):
as he put it, Americans venerate mediocrity, that we elevate
the prom queen over the math olympiad, that we celebrate
the jock rather than say the nerd and the serious student,
and that this is why the United States is falling

(04:11):
behind the rest of the world. And this is why
you need to bring in skilled foreign immigrants. Say like,
you know his parents who came from India, and say,
because in India, according to Viveke Ramaswami, and we're just
using India as an example, in India, they work harder,
they study harder, they're just as well if not better educated.

(04:36):
And that's why, if we're going to stay ahead of
other countries like China, the only way for America to
retain its competitive edge, according to Viveke Ramaswami and according
to Elon Musk, is to expand the H one B
visa program, which allows big business, big corporations, big companies

(05:00):
Silicon Valley in particular, to bring in all of these
foreign legal immigrants and the catches to pay them a
lot less than they would normally pay an American citizen.
And the H one B visa forces these immigrants to

(05:21):
be tied to a specific company for many years, five six,
seven years. If they don't, they lose their visa. They
have to go back home. So it's not as if
they can go to another company or go and get
another job. It's a form of feudalism. I mean that's
what it really is. I mean, you are paying them,

(05:43):
but you're not paying them very much. They work them hard,
ten to twelve hours a day, and they're not able
to go to any other company because your visa is
tied to this specific company that sponsors you. Steve Bannon
has now vowed that he is going to drive Elon
Musk and Vivaq, especially Elon Musk out of the Trump

(06:08):
White House. In a wide ranging interview with the Italian
daily newspaper Corrie de la Sera, which by the way
is sort of Italy's version of LaMonte or I guess
the New York Times or whatever. It's a big consequential
paper in Italy. Here is what it's Steve Bannon is

(06:30):
now vowing to do. I'm going to read straight from
the interview quote, I will have Elon Musk run out
of here by inauguration day, meaning out of the White House.
He will not have a blue pass to the White House,
he will not have full access to the White House.
He will be like any other person. Bannon then goes

(06:54):
on to say he is a truly meaning Musk. He
is a true evil guy, a very bad guy. I
made it my personal thing to take this guy down
before because he put money in I was prepared to
tolerate it. I'm not prepared to tolerate it anymore now.

(07:18):
In other words, look, he gave a lot of money
to Trump. He was obviously very helpful for to Trump
to get elected in twenty twenty four. So he goes
I kind of kept my powder dry. But now that
Trump is won, according to Bannon, he says he wants
to expose Elon, and according to him, Elon is about Elon.

(07:41):
This is what he says. It's not just a H
one B visas. He goes, that's just the surface. Ultimately,
he says, these tech overlords are all about maximizing profit
and power for themselves and their industry at the expense
of American citizens. And here's what Bannon said. Quote this

(08:05):
thing of the H one B visas, it's about the
entire immigration system is gained by the tech overlords. They
use it to their advantage, and the people are furious.
He went on to say, I don't know if this
is true or not, but this is what Bannon is quoting.
That's seventy six percent of engineers working in Silicon Valley

(08:29):
are non Americans. So basically three quarters of the engineers
in Silicon Valley are foreigners. They're not even American citizens,
and all of them are on this H one B
VISA program. And he then says, no Blacks or Hispanics
have any of these jobs or any access to these jobs. So,

(08:54):
according to Bannon, he's basically now saying in fact, he
says it right out. He doesn't just hint at it.
He says it. He says that Musk is ultimately about profit.
And as he put it, Musk is self serving, insisting
quote that Musk's sole objective is to become a trillionaire.

(09:19):
He will do anything to make sure that any one
of his companies is protected or has a better deal,
or he makes more money. His aggregation of wealth and
then through wealth power, that's what he's focused on. And
so according to Bannon, he believes that Elon Musk and

(09:40):
Vivek ultimately are going to undermine Trump's immigration agenda. That yes,
they are for securing the border, but that ultimately they
want to flood this country with legal immigrants, not illegal,
but legal immigrants. And according to Steve Bannon, this in

(10:02):
the end is going to hurt American citizens, especially those
with stem or advanced degrees in the field of engineering,
in the field of it, in the field of mathematics,
in the field of science and the sciences. And so
according to him, Musk and this is what Battin is saying,

(10:23):
that Musk is fundamentally at heart a globalist who is
in it for himself. Now bad In is claiming that
people around Trump are becoming weary of Musk. I don't
know if that's true, but what is very clear to
me now is that there is a civil war brewing

(10:47):
within the MAGA camp and within the MAGA movement. And
so I have two questions for this great audience, and
I want to take calls right after the break. This
feud has gone public and there's no other way to
put it. Steve Bannon, in a wide ranging, very blunt,
very direct interview now said he's going to make it

(11:10):
his mission, as he put it, to drive Elon Musk
out of the Trump White House. Now, everything depends really
on your view of Elon and vivek Ramaswami. I think
that's the key here. Ultimately, what Steve Bannon is saying,
and I'm not saying I agree with him, I just

(11:31):
I want to hear from you, honestly, Kooner Country, where
you stand on this. What Steve Bannon is saying is
that Elon Musk ultimately can't be trusted, that Elon is
about Elon. That's what Bannon is saying. And as he
told Courier de la Sera, this Italian, very prominent, influential
Italian daily newspaper in Rome in Italy. He said his

(11:54):
real aim is to be a trillionaire, the first trillionaire
in history. He's about money, he's about power. He's about
protecting his companies, getting a better deal, getting a better advantage,
maximizing profit. And that's why he wants massive legal immigration,
but in particular the skilled foreign immigration through the H

(12:18):
one B system that Bannon says is displacing countless American citizens,
American engineers, American IT people, American technology experts, and in
favor of cheap labor. It may be, it may be
skilled labor, but it's still cheap labor. According to Bannon,

(12:41):
and many others are saying this is true, many companies
are laying off American citizens and then replacing them usually
one American, say one American engineer or one American IT specialist.
You can hire two or three Indians from say Mumbay
or wherever. And I'm not picking on India because it's

(13:03):
other countries as well. You can get them from South Korea,
you can get them from China, you can get them
from also Brazil. You can get them from countries all
over the world. So they can hire two or three
of these foreign skilled workers for the cost of one
American and the infamous example under the H one B

(13:27):
visa program. And as Musk and Vivik said, they want
to dramatically expand the H one B visa program. They
want to bring in millions, I mean literally millions under
the Trump administration. And Steve Bannon says this is shafting
American citizens, especially those with advanced degrees. And he says, whites, blacks, Latinos,

(13:54):
it doesn't matter. Everyone's getting screwed. The American citizen is
now being put last. So this is Bannon's argument. Now,
let me just make two quick points and then I
want to open it up to you. I promise. Six
one seven, two sixty six sixty eight sixty eight is
the number. My first reaction. And this goes back to

(14:16):
the holidays, the Christmas break where vi Veik and both
Elon came out in support strong support of this H
one B visa program. Okay, of bringing in more skilled
foreign immigrants, specially engineers and tech experts, it people, but
across the board, if they're skilled, highly educated, they go

(14:38):
just bring them in, bring them in and just give
them green cards or give them H one b Visas.
My first reaction is we need this public split, this
civil war within the MAGA movement, like we need a
hole in the head. That's my honest first reaction. Trump

(15:00):
hasn't even been inaugurated yet, and already now you know
there are warring camps and and and and and and
divisions and people at each other's throats, Like, can't you
guys sort this out in private and then come to
some kind of a consensus. So that's my number one point.

(15:22):
I'm just being honest. Number two, let me tell you
again my gut reaction when Vivek came out with his
ex post about how American culture is mediocre, how Americans
venerate mediocrity, how has he put it, Americans celebrate the

(15:45):
prom queen over the math olympiad, How Americans glorify the
jock over the nerd or the geek. My honest reaction.
And by the way, I mean, she popped the cork,
She blew a gasket grace. This was during our Christmas break.

(16:07):
She was livid, livid. I don't think I was quite
as livid as her, but she was livid. And I'll
ask her about it in fact tomorrow when she comes
on for her hit at nine o'clock, She's like, who
does vivek Ramaswami think he is? So what is this?
One generation in the United States and suddenly you're better. Suddenly,

(16:31):
now foreign cultures are better than American culture. Suddenly, now
we're not good enough. Suddenly, now we're all a bunch
of mediocrites. So if we're so mediocre, how come your
parents left India to come here? If we're so mediocre,
how come everybody around the world wants to come to

(16:52):
the United States. I mean, at least wait two or
three generations before you start telling the natives how to
run their affairs and start kicking them around and bossing
them around. So I'll be honest with you, I shared
many of Grace's sentiments. I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,

(17:13):
where's the freaking gratitude? Man, where's the gratitude? Look how
good America was to your parents? Look how good America's
been to you. I mean the guys you know, a
multi millionaire and then some and you know, an entrepreneur,
and God bless him, he's done very well for himself.
But all of a sudden, now we're no good all

(17:36):
of a sudden, Now, if we don't import an army
of Indians on these h one B visas, or an
army of Chinese or an army of I'm just using whatever,
and an army of Ukrainians, you know, skilled educated, Suddenly
now we can't compete with the rest of the world America.
Now we're our native citizens are not good enough. I'm sorry,

(18:00):
it's bull crap, it's insulting, it's demeaning. An internal civil
war has now broken out within the MAGA movement. Elon
Musk and Steve Bannon are publicly feuding. Bannon says he
is vowing he's making it his personal mission that he
is going to drive Elon out of the Trump White House.

(18:20):
He says he doesn't trust them as far as he
can throw him. That ultimately, Bannon says, this is what
Bannon's accusing. I'm not saying it's true. I'm just saying
this is what Bannon is saying, that Elon Musk is
not really MAGA, that in fact, many of his aims
and objectives contradict the goals of MAGA and the America

(18:42):
First Movement, and that Elon Musk is really all about
Elon Musk that he ultimately wants to become the first
trillionaire in world history, to protect his companies, to protect
a get a better deal for himself, to maximize profits.
And that's why he and Vivek Ramaswami are pushing so

(19:04):
hard for a massive expansion of the H one B
VISA program, which allows companies like those owned by Elon
to bring in foreign skilled immigrants, highly educated foreigners into
the United States, say as engineers or IT specialists, or

(19:24):
I could run, you know, if those in the sciences
in order, and they can pay them half or a
third of what they would pay an American citizen. Now,
Sandy has an interesting point. She says, look, Jeff my
perspective on this, I think Bannon is jealous that Trump

(19:44):
knows exactly who Elon Musk is. That Trump has no
illusions about Elon, he has no illusions about Steve Bannon,
that he's not being swindled by any of these men,
that he's got the situation under control. But according to
sen this is her just her point of view, that
Bannon used to be the inside guy. He's no longer

(20:06):
the inside guy. Elon Musk has now become the inside guy,
and she thinks a lot of this is jealousy. Interesting
do you agree with Sandy? Now, let me just say
this about Steve Bannon. Bannon has gone to jail. Bannon
has gone behind bars for Trump, for MAGA, and for

(20:29):
the America First Movement. He's a true believer. So this
story really caught my attention because it's not some you know,
talking head that's just shooting their mouth off. This is
Steve Bannon. So to me, if Steve Bannon is saying something,
at a minimum, we should listen and give him a

(20:51):
respectful hearing. Whether you agree or disagree. But that's my
point of view. Six one seven I want to hear
from you. Six one seven sixty eight sixty eight is
the number. Okay, just very very quick, I want to
ask you the audience, does Bannon have a point about

(21:12):
the H one B visa program. Did you experience discrimination
in your company or did your child, son, daughter, nephew, niece,
a brother, sister, sibling. Were you discriminated against and essentially
laid off or for I fired to make way for

(21:36):
a skilled or educated foreigner, say from India or other
countries to replace you. You remember that infamous story at
Walt Disney, whereby the entire department of IT specialists were
laid off. But if they wanted to get any severance,

(21:57):
they had to train the Indian workers that were brought
in again on H one B visas to train them
to replace them at their jobs, because they hired them
for a third of what they would pay these American workers.
And then after they were trained, they trained their own replacements.
They were then kicked out with a severance package. Has

(22:20):
that happened to you or to a family member or
to someone that you know of? Six one seven two six,
six sixty eight sixty eight is the number and to
really make you know, to sharpen the debate and to
make it very crystal clear. This is what Mark on
messenger messaged me. Jeff. So, if any of this is true,

(22:45):
do you think Steve Bannon is saying that Elon Musk
wants to do this, i e. Push and expand this
you know, H one B visa program because he can
hire these skilled foreigners for cheaper money and he can
make more money by paying them less on his way

(23:06):
to becoming the first trillionaire ever. If so, Jeff, then
I have to agree with Bannon. But I hope it's
all bs. What say you, Well, that's what Bannon is
directly accusing him of. That's what he's saying. He's saying. No,
I'll tell you why he's pushing the h one bs
because it's going to you know, enrich him and his

(23:28):
billionaire buddies. And he throws in names like Peter Thiel
and David Sacks, and he goes. His buddies in Silicon
Valley are all for this, he goes, So make no
mistake about it. He may talk MAGA, this is what
Bannon is saying, but he's not really maga. In fact,
he's working in some ways against MAGA and against America first,

(23:52):
and against American workers and against American citizens. So what
say you? Where do you side in this debate? Bannon
or Musk? Six one seven two six six sixty eight
sixty eight lines are loaded? Dave in Pennsylvania, our Western

(24:15):
PA correspondent, Dave, Thanks for holding and welcome if I agree.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Good Monk Jeff, How you doing, Buddy?

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Good good? How are you? Dave?

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Good good?

Speaker 3 (24:25):
I'm still paying for you and your family about your father, Buddy,
thank you to bless you. I know you very much Jeff,
here's my take. I agree whole holly with Sandy's point.
She's a thousand percent correct. But Jeff, let me add
another thousand to another grand if I may. Jeff, And
you know the media they're salivating. I mean they're like

(24:46):
pac Man walka walkah walker. They want to eat all
the he wants to seed all the monsters.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Jeff.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
That's the liberal media. The media is looking for anything
to drive the wedge inside MEGA.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
Now.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
I like see Bannon, I respect him. You're right, he
did go to jail. Well, but Elon's done a lot
with Veak as well. But Jeff, the media is going
to use this against us.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Jef.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
And you know the media, Jeff, this salivating, brother, You
see what I'm getting at?

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (25:12):
No, I know I agree with you. Oh my god.
They're all over this, you know, divisions within MAGA, in
fighting within MAGA.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
They're trying to egg Elon now to really blast Steve Bannon.
I mean they want to you know, they want an
all out war.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Basically, what is it the six days before the inauguration, Dave,
do you think Bannon should have held this fire or
you know, again, just to defend Bannon for a second.
If he really believes what he's saying, and I do
tend to think he does, doesn't he have a duty

(25:48):
to speak out. I mean, I'm just curious, where do
you stand on this, Dave.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
He's got everybody to be concerned. Jeff, just like this,
say there was a fracture, Say me and you didn't
agree in anything, Jeff. I'm not gonna I would say
that we disagree on some I'm not going to run
to Tom Dick and Harry especially Bill and Sudbury and say,
oh my god, I mean and Jeff disagree. No, I
would sit down. We talk about it as gentleman, and
if we disagree, so what. But we know that there's

(26:15):
a bigger thing to fight for. But what Steve Bannon
should have done and I respect being like I said,
he went to jail, but he needs to load the
hole on his face and say, look, what's this going
to do.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
To our movement?

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Maybe I should think about what I'm saying before I
say it. And I think, Jeff, you know what I'm saying, buddy,
because they said again the media this, Jeff, they're packed man,
walkah Walker. You know I hate the pack analogy, but
you know it's funny.

Speaker 6 (26:38):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
No, I like it, Dave, I like it.

Speaker 6 (26:40):
You know what I mean, Buddy, Dave has.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Always common sense, common sense. Every time you call common sense,
common sense, common sense. Dave, thank you very much for
that call. Sarah on Cape cod thanks for holding Sarah
and welcome.

Speaker 6 (26:56):
Hey, good morning, Jeff, Hi Sarah. I'm peron who just
as background. I've been driving a Tesla for ten years.
I own Tesla stock. I think SpaceX is the best
thing that's happened to our space program in decades. I
love how articulate Vive is. I'm team Bannon all the
way on this. Really, I have seen I have seen

(27:19):
so many Americans, my family, my friends, my neighbors, new
kids out of school, middle aged white men replaced by
H one B people. It's obscene. It's okay for my
son to join the military and protect our country, but oh,
let's bring in H one B people from the rest
of the world to take their jobs. I don't think so.

(27:40):
You know how much it costs to become a doctor
in this country. It's huge. Oh, let's bring them over
from India where they can just get trained for cheap. No,
we have to prioritize Americans. This is why we voted
for Trump. And was it Bannon that said there are
no African Americans or Hispanics these high tech firms. Absolutely,

(28:02):
we don't care about DEEI because they bring in their
own DEI to fit those programs. This is such bs,
even though I think Vivek and Elon are huge American
heroes in so many ways.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Oh Sarah, can you please hang on? Okay? Maga now divided,
Steve Bannon now a shot across the bow, in fact,
more than a shot across the bow, a declaration of
war on Elon Musk a lesser extent Vivik Ramaswami, but
especially on Elon. Steve Bannon now says he will drive

(28:40):
him from the White House, that he is a wolf
in sheep's clothing. Do you agree with Bannon? Or is
this an unnecessary fight between two key figures in the
America First Movement? All right, let's go right back to
Sarah on Cape On Cape Cod, Sarah said, Look, she's

(29:00):
a big fan of Elon, she drives a Tesla, she
owns stock in Tesla, she's a big fan of SpaceX.
But she's team Bannon all the way. On this, the
tech overlords have been abusing the H one B VISA
system the program, and Americans are being displaced. They send

(29:20):
them to war like her son, but there's no room
for them to get jobs in engineering or in IT
or in any of the STEM fields science, technology, engineering,
and math. And she says it's blatant discrimination against Americans,
and that on this Bannon is correct. Sarah, did I

(29:42):
sum up your position accurately?

Speaker 6 (29:44):
Absolutely? Now, I can't say if Bannon's correct about Elon
wanting to be a trillionaire, and I don't care about that.
I care about jobs for Americans in America, and there
ways to do this. If Vivek says we don't have
enough people going into STEM and we want to have
more people in STEM, don't import them pay for their
college education. We want people to come to this country

(30:06):
who want to work here. Let them come through join
the military first. There are ways to do this where
we still preserve jobs for Americans. And I actually think
it's fundamentally anti American. Unfortunately, love Vivek, but his comments
were about lazy Americans. They were derogatory toward the American
way of life. I don't appreciate that I don't agree

(30:27):
with it. And how about instead of criticizing people, we
do something to support each other. We voted for Trump
because we wanted to take back America, and this is
the first step. If they still want the H one
B program because we want to be sure that Einstein
can come here, that's fine, then make it one hundred
make it one thousand a year, but not one hundred
thousand a year. And if you look at the jobs

(30:48):
they have listed on these H ONEB visa applications, these
are not the krem dela Creme. These are not the
elon mocks of the world. These are people from I
saw it, from strippers to chefs to who knows what.
So it's not just Silicon Valley that's abusing this. This
is a program that needs to be curtailed, maybe not stopped,
but there need to be gates to entry. And I'm

(31:10):
saying one hundred one thousand, not hundreds of thousands. Every year.
Everybody in America who had knows somebody in the tech center,
knows sector, knows somebody that's been displaced by foreign workers
at a third of the price, and then those foreign
workers are also exploited. This is not like a win lose.
This is a lose lose for our employees. So one

(31:32):
hundred percent with Bannon's position. I don't care what motivation
he feels people have, but we need to stand up
and say this is what we've voted for. We need
American jobs for Americans first.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Sarah, Wow, have you ever done talk radio with any chance?

Speaker 6 (31:52):
No? But I was totally engaged in this around Christmas
when you were off. I was missing you so much.
But this is, this is, this is fundamentally what MEGA
is all about.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
I'm with you all the way. Oh, I'm with you
all the way, Sarah. Honestly, I couldn't have said it
better myself. Let me ask you one last question before
I let you go. And Bannon really goes for Musk's throat,
and I just want to get your take on this.
Did he go too far? He says in the interview
regarding Musk, he is a truly evil guy, a very

(32:29):
bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take
this guy down. And he then says he's all about
the money. That's what he goes, you know. He goes
on to say, and then he says this quote Peter
til the billionaire David Sachs, Elon Musk are all white

(32:50):
South Africans. He told the Italian newspaper he should go
back to South Africa. Why do we have South Africans
the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, We
have them making any comments at all on what goes
on in the United States. And then he says, look,

(33:11):
we've been fighting this fight for ten years, and we're
going to expose the entire corruption of the American system
of how money controls everything and hopefully will inspire you
in Italy to wake up and anyway, So basically what
he's saying is that Elon and his Ilk are mortal

(33:32):
enemies that are evil, that want to ultimately subvert America,
that they're essentially globalists at their core, and that Sarah,
he's a racist. He's a white South African racist who
should go back to South Africa and he has no
business commenting on what happens here in the United States.

(33:53):
Your reaction, I don't.

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Know, But if you talk to me ten years ago,
I would think the person I am today was some
crazy conspiracy theorist, because everything that we have been told
for the last ten years has been lies. So now
that my eyes and all of MAGA are opened up
to some of the truths. Maybe this is another one.
I just don't know yet, So I'm willing to let

(34:19):
it play out. I'm willing to let Bannon have his
his say. I don't know if that's the case. I
hope it's not. Elon has created jobs, has created industries
in this country that have benefited the United States. So
that's I am. You know, I think that that's on
the plus side. Bannon could be one hundred percent correct.
But you know what, if Elon truly is pro American,

(34:42):
let him stand up and say, you right, America, you
write MAGA, I'm only going to hire Americans. How about that?
And he can prove it.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Sarah, Wow, I mean, a very early contender for Call
of the Week. I'm telling you, Sarah, please don't be
a stranger. Call again. Thank you very much for that call, Sarah.
Dave in Boston, thanks for holding Dave, and welcome.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
Good morning, Jeff, Good morning, Hi Dave.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
What do you make of all this?

Speaker 2 (35:14):
I think we're taking our eye off the ball again.
This infighting can't happen again. We did this for eight
years ago, and we're going down the rat hole again.
We need to be and I called this before. I've
called you on the show before a couple of times
in the past. We need to be mindful. They will
attempt another assassination on or before an inauguration game. That's

(35:38):
the big thing. We can't lose focus of that. Bannon
can banter all he wants and the Italian newspaper come
to the White House and talk about this. Don't go
to an Italian newspaper and open your mouth. Sit down
and talk to the people you're talking about, but take
don't take your eye off the ball.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Well, Dave, does it bother you that he went this
was in Rome, Italy that he went to Rome, he
went to Italy, went to I mean, I'm just calling
it as it is, right, he went to a foreign
newspaper and basically dumped all over Elon Musk. Now, many
people are saying, and I'm not saying it's true. I'm
just saying what many people are saying, that Steve Bannon

(36:24):
doesn't have the influence over Trump that he once had,
and that he may say I'm going to drive him
out of the White House, that he'll push Elon out,
but he doesn't have the power or the influence to
do so, and that's why he couldn't do it behind
closed doors. That's why he's making this very public and
throwing down the gauntlet because now all of social media,

(36:48):
Dave is engaged all of MAGA. This is the big
story in magaworld. That's what everybody is talking about now.
So some of the two major are now at each
other's throats. What say you?

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Of course that all of the social media is all
over this because that's what they want. They want to
see the infighting. It's like they just int you interviewed
Malania and I'm not sure what show she says. You
know what we've learned from the last time we got
screwed the last time. We're not going to get screwed again.
We're not going to get screwed again. You guys can

(37:26):
do this BS and then call everybody what they're supposed
to be, but we're not going to listen this time.
We're focused. We're focused on the prize American.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
And I hear you, no, we got it. We Trump's
got to succeed. I mean, we've got no choice. Dave,
thank you very very much for that call. I really appreciated.
All Right, Dave, is upset. He's saying. Now this is
more upset at Bannon saying, if you've got something to say,
don't air your dirty laundry in public. Don't go to
an Italian newspaper and declare war on Elon Musk. Go

(38:01):
behind closed doors, talk to Elon, talk to Trump, talk
to people around Trump. In other words, as they say,
keep it within the family, agree, disagree. Helen in Stoneham,
thanks for holding Helen, and welcome Jeff.

Speaker 5 (38:18):
I'm so brought, so glad that you brought this to
the surface because I heard this during Christmas time and
I just hope that you would expound on this. I've
experienced this in my own family. My son had a
very difficult time as soon as he became thirty five.
They like to replace them because of the money. The
other thing, there was a book written by Michelle Malcolm

(38:41):
came out about two years ago, cold called sold Out,
and she elaborates just what's happening without h one bs.
I've stem people I having a difficult time holding onto
their jobs when the h one bs come in and
can work for a lot less money. And thank you
for bringing this out, Helen.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
So I take it you're with Bannon on this.

Speaker 5 (39:05):
Of one percent. Yes, I just wish they could touch
this up and discuss it among themselves in the White House.
I'm sure President Trump wants all us the people to
have jobs that they can keep until they're ready to retire,
rather than be displaced.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
Helen, thank you very much for that call. Well, look,
I mean to me, America first has to mean putting
Americans first. Now, look, I'm a legal immigrant to this country.
So you know some are going to say, oh, aren't
you being a hypocrite, Jeff. No, look, I'm definitely for
legal immigration. Of course, you know you always look, you
never want to shut the world off from potentially bringing

(39:45):
in As I thought, Sarah said it very well. You
know the Einstein's and what she means is the best
and the brightest. Of course, you'd be crazy. But you know,
as someone who texted me in fact, let me read
the text, because I think the text really sums it
up extremely well. By the way, you can text the
cooner man seven zero four seven zero seven zero four

(40:05):
seven zero, and this is from two to two. Jeff.
There are many things the Veke and Elon would do
for Trump and Maga, but going to prison is not
and never would be among them. Now that is a
phenomenal point. Look, I have a mense respect for Elon,

(40:28):
a mense respect for Viveke. Honestly, I don't know if
Trump could have won the election without Elon. I love Trump.
I think he's incredible. But what he did, and it
wasn't just the money. It was the way he opened
up X. It was the way he threw his full
support behind Trump. It was the way he made X
into a, you know, for the most part, a free

(40:50):
speech zone. It circumvented the entire corrupt corporate media and
enable Trump in particular, get his message out. And so
many attacks against Trump and lies were refuted on X
because of Elon the fact that he opened it up.
It was a very you know, Twitter was very different
under him than under Jack Dorsey in the previous regime.

(41:13):
So I don't want to take away anything from Elon
because I think he's done tremendous. But I think two
O two is right. Pannin went to jail for Trump.
That's to me that, you know that, That's why I say,
I'm going to give this guy a very respectful hearing
because I think he's earned it. And Frankly on the
H one B visa issue. I agree with him. I

(41:36):
agree with them. I think we have been neglecting and
displacing Americans for decade after decade after decade, to the
point now that if you're an American citizen here. I
had somebody email me when this, you know, over the
Christmas holiday, saying, Jeff, my daughter went to the University

(41:57):
of South Carolina and graduated with honors in engineering. And
she says she can't find the job. She has to
work as a bartender. Again, there's nothing wrong with being
a bartender, but she goes. You know, we racked up
a lot of debt. She spent half of her life studying.
She's a very skilled engineer. But they keep hiring foreigner,

(42:22):
many Indians, to be honest, but others, China and other
countries they go at half or a third of the
price on the H one B visa program. And my
daughter is not going to work for twenty five thirty
thousand dollars a year. Why would you? You're crazy? She
literally she makes more money as a bartender, but she's
a trained engineer. How is that right? We're putting our

(42:45):
own citizens last. And I'm like, amen, I agree with you.
So this is Look, this is my position and it's
from six one seven Jeff. The rational discussion about the
he's an issue must focus on scale. One hundred thousand

(43:06):
a year is one thing. A million is another bingo.
That to me, that's my point. Yes, I'm for legal immigration,
but within limits. In other words, yeah, okay, one hundred thousand,
I get it. You you want to bring in the
best doctors, the best engineers, the best scientists, the best

(43:28):
entrepreneurs in other words, you know, you want to bring
in pop quality talent, of course, but that's not what
Elon and Vivek are talking about. As Sarah put it,
they want millions and millions coming in every year on
this H one B visa program. And when you press them,
well why why so many? And as Sarah said, it's
not just engineers and tech people. It specialists, you know,

(43:53):
or or doctors or whatever. It's true. Literally, it's trippers,
it's it's chefs. It's uh, you know, I mean like, well,
we don't have enough strippers here in the United States.
We don't have enough people who can cook here in
the United States. You know, it's so no, when you
press them and This is why I found Vivik's comments
over Christmas honestly a slap in the face, insulting and ungrateful,

(44:17):
and I don't like the way he handled it. I
don't like the way he didn't apologize either after it
was an immense backlash from Maga. We're mediocre. Our culture
is so mediocre that if we don't flood our country
with skilled, foreign, cheap labor, we're finished because we're just

(44:42):
a nation of prom kreens and jocks. Like that's all
we are, So we need the so called nerds and geeks.
He's talking about India in particular, but you know, from India,
from China, from South Korea, from Ukraine, from you know whatever,
from Turkey, from Cutter, from so in other words, like

(45:03):
America on its own is just a mediocre, pathetic place,
and without us, you guys are nothing. I'm sorry, man,
Blank you with all due respect, Blank you. Now. Do
I want DOGE to succeed? Yes? Do I think you're
right on many issues? Yes? Do I appreciate your support

(45:27):
for Trump, of course, But come on, man, this is insulting.
I mean, if you know, hey, if we're so mediocre,
why did your parents come from India. If we're so mediocre,
how come you've done so well in the United States.
Where's the gratitude? Man? Agree, disagree? Six one seven two

(45:48):
six x sixty eight sixty eight. Charles in West Springfield,
Thanks for holding Charles and welcomes. Okay, let's Charles looks
like he's walking on his way out to go to work.
Let's see if we can reconnect with Charles Ken in

(46:08):
the Great State of Georgia. Thanks for holding.

Speaker 4 (46:11):
Ten and welcome by Jeff Owaia.

Speaker 1 (46:15):
I'm good. How are you? Ken?

Speaker 3 (46:18):
Good?

Speaker 2 (46:18):
Good?

Speaker 4 (46:20):
I think they're both right and they're both wrong. The
public education.

Speaker 7 (46:26):
System here in the United States has failed.

Speaker 4 (46:28):
A lot of our kids.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
Yes, I have a daughter who.

Speaker 7 (46:30):
Started college this year and she's struggling, even though she
graduated with a three point eight EPA in high school
and a very good.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
High school here in Georgia.

Speaker 7 (46:42):
It's it's I can see where Elon Musk and the
Becker coming on that end of it. Also, I can
see where you know we're n and saying yes, they're
looking to hire more foreigners. In that case, the H
one D one should require the salary to be the
same as if you were to pay an American citizen.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Yes, I agree, I agree. Can I completely agree? Ken?
I'm not trying to cut you off. I promise I'll
let you finish. Let me just ask you this because
I think this is what God everybody's goat. Okay, this
is what cut everybody to the quick, as they say,
it's the implication He almost said it. He went, oh,

(47:26):
I mean he's implying it. Basically, if you don't bring
in millions of Indians and millions of Chinese and millions
of foreigners, you guys are nothing. You guys are a
bunch of you know, mediocre prom queens and jocks. That's
what you guys are. And I'm sorry, Ken, it's not true.

(47:47):
I agree with you on the education system completely. Please
don't get me wrong, but it's not true, and it's
damn insulting. What say you?

Speaker 7 (47:56):
They probably shouldn't have said that. Jet what I get there?

Speaker 1 (48:00):
Point?

Speaker 4 (48:00):
I hired a kid from Georgia Tech. He had a
finance degree from Georgia Tech. He was not good. I
ended up replacing him with an HB one guy from
India who is one hundred percent better at all the
skills that I needed.

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Did you or Ken, if I'm getting too personal. Did
you did you pay him.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
Less or no, pay him the same save my money?

Speaker 1 (48:26):
Well, good for you, I mean, because most companies, most
corporations don't do what you did, Ken, So I agree
with you. I think if we're going to do it,
we should reform the H one B visa program and
say no, no, no, no, you know we're gonna do what
Ken and Georgia did you know if the position is
worth I'm just going to make a number up. If
it's a sixty thousand dollars a year position, then you

(48:48):
pay the foreigner sixty thousand. You don't pay the foreigner
twenty five thousand or twenty thousand to undercut the American citizen.
I'm with you, Ken. In the end, what do you
think is gonna happen? Are they gonna patch this up?
Or do you think now this is going to be
a fight to the death between Team Bannon and Elon Musk.

Speaker 4 (49:11):
I hope they patch it up.

Speaker 8 (49:12):
I think Trump will probably have to take the bets
through the both sides and understanding hopefully since he does
he is a deal maker that yes, there'll be HV on,
but it'll be limited and they have to pay the
salaries that they're gonna have pay in America. That's the
only right way of doing it, because then you know,
it's really the quality. And I think that would force

(49:33):
the American public to realize that their school system is
not as good as they think it is when you
have motivated people from foreign countries who have that drive.
The kid, the Indian kid I hired, he had a
drive like I never seen where the American kid, on
his second day, he called me up and said his
cow was broken into and his.

Speaker 7 (49:52):
Laptop is sold.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
I'm sorry, I mean to laugh at his circumstance. I'm
just funny. You know, on his second day, he's already
got problems. You Ken, thank you very very much for
that call. I really appreciate it.
