Speaker 1 (00:00):
Boston's Bulldozer operates seven days a week. The Kuner Report
weekend edition WRKO, The Voice of Boston.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Let me ask you two questions, Nay, double barrel question
number one, what do you think best explains the FBI
and frankly, the Secret Services failure? In what happened on Butler, Pennsylvania,
July thirteenth, twenty twenty four the attempted assassination obviously of Trump.

(00:32):
Is it A is it just sheer in competence? Or
B it was part of a larger conspiracy? Because I
have to tell you to me, those are the only
two possible conclusions, especially now after these bombshell reports in
the New York Post about the massive cover up about

(00:55):
the assassin that would be assassin Thomas Crooks and how
much the FBI and the Secret Service in line to us.
So to me, there's really only it's door one or
door two, And I don't know which one scale. Honestly,
I don't know what's more frightening. One that they're that
incompetent and they're just covering up their incompetence and their

(01:17):
tracks because they're that inept a ya yai ai ya yai.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Or b.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
It's because there are there's a mole or moles in
people who've infiltrated the FBI and the Secret Service, radical
anti Trump, leftists who want the president dead. There's no
door three on this, and honestly, I don't know what's worse.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
That's question numero uno the second question, And I want
to credit Mark on Messenger because I think he makes
a very good point. Should Dan Bongino, because remember Bongino
was in the Secret Service before we got into media,
and now he's the deputy FBI director. And look, there's
no question about it. Let's be charitable. He is floundering

(02:09):
as deputy FBI director. Okay, let's put it, you know, charitably, mildly.
He's not doing very well. He's struggling. Should Dan Bongino
have been assigned as the head of the Secret Service instead?
In other words, he should never have been appointed as
FBI director, but instead made head of the Secret Service,

(02:31):
bring in people that he knows and he trusts, and
clean out the Secret Service. In other words, that that's
more up his you know, that's more up his wheelhouse.
He knows the Secret Service, he comes from the Secret Service,
he has friends and connections in the Secret Service, and
maybe that would have been a much better fit for

(02:53):
him than making him the numbers, you know, the number
two law enforcement official in the country, because clearly he
and cash Pttel it's not working. So my question to
you should Trump reassign Dan Bongino and make him the
head of the Secret Service. I'm just asking six one

(03:16):
seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight. Mo on
cape Cod Thanks for holding.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
MO and welcome.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Hey cooner man. Last time I called you, we were
discussing how fragile the grid was into New York when
Mandannie had yes.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yes, I remember that call. That was a very good call.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
You know, I got cut off. Someone shut me off.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
That was probably Mike. Okay, but don't take it personally, MO.
He cuts me off all the time. Mike.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
You know that's why I call him Maestro. Mike.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Mike thinks he's the show. I'm just being honest with you.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Mike.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Mike thinks he's the Maestro, So please go ahead, MO.
What's on your mind?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Well, first of all, that was I was just relieved
because I heard you talking how you thought people were
cutting in and out on things, and I'm there somebody
cut me off.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
That was Mike again. Really, I mean Mo, he cuts
me off, and he loves cutting me off.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
You know. See now Mike is getting mad.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Now Mike is in my ear saying, tell them Mo
to get to the point or I will cut him
off again. So Mike, please, let's not upset Mike here, Well,
go ahead. The floor is yours.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Okay. That was really the basic question because I heard
you saying that you were having trouble with stuff cutting
in and out, and I'm there. I wonder if someone
else has had this happen, and I figured i'd call you.
But you guys are doing a good job, and you're
a lifeline, and I guarantee you the guys in the
White House are listening to you.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Oh, I know they are. I mean, I'm being honest
with you, I know they are. I'm not saying Trump does,
I'm not saying the guys you know six to ten
he's listening to every second. But that's why I try
to give callers as much leeway and time as possible,
because how do I say this. You're the pulse of
the country, Cooner, country is maga, You're the heartland. So

(05:17):
I want them to hear what the base is saying.
And so when the base is saying, as they did recently,
I'm telling you prices are too high. I love the guy,
but the prices are just too high, and we want
him focusing more on affordability and bringing prices down.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Bingo.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
They got that to the President right away, that many
of you are not happy about the H one B
visas they're not happy about the Chinese students. He's getting
that message. So that's one of the reasons why I
fought for editorial independence on this show. It's not just
for me, it's for you. And look, some people do

(05:57):
say crazy things. That's just the way it is. But
I'd rather that people say crazy things and we just
say no, we disagree, but you have the right to
say it because what you get is you get people
saying brilliant things. So that's what free speech does, and
that's why I'm totally against censorship. And that's the heart
and soul of the show. And again, I'm going to

(06:20):
give away my negotiating strategy. Everybody knows it. I don't
ask for money. I ask for free speech and it
served me very well, and at every negotiation it throws
them off. I don't know why every time, I mean,
I even telegraph it. You're like, but for these ratings,
don't you want more money? Nope, I just want freedom
of speech. Give me the chance to do the show

(06:42):
without censorship and knock on wood. It's working and I
want to thank all of.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
You for it.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
