Speaker 1 (00:00):
Six seven two six six, sixty eight sixty eight is
the number. Okay. Elon now comes out swinging, well, you know, verbally, rhetorically,
comes out swinging against the big beautiful bill, saying it's
an abomination, in fact, the disgusting abomination. It spends way
(00:20):
too much money. He says it's going to lead to
the national debt being unsustainable, to massive record deficits, and
that in the end it will bankrupt America. He is
urging Republicans in the Senate to cut the spending now
before it's too late. Barbara and Maryland says he needs
(00:43):
to trust Trump. Trump is growing the economy at a
level we've never seen before. The TIFFs are kicking in,
His tax cuts are going to make the economy boom,
and that in the end the economy will grow so big,
so fast that it will dwarf the spending increases. Barbara,
(01:04):
did I sum up your position accurately?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Very very very close, very very close. I would just
say this, in addition to what you've summarized, we're acting
is that the cut that Doge didn't exist, that border
is now reduced by ninety five percent, people coming across,
(01:32):
costing US money all the money. Do you know that
snap has been pulled back from illegals, Those visa cards
are no longer working, those hotels are no longer being paid.
I think we're ignoring what is going to happen just naturally.
And Doge has not left because Elon, the people that
(01:53):
we're working with them are still a part of the administration.
Elon had a time limit as to how long he
could be as in that as a director in the administration. Anyway,
there's a conflict of interest something. I've heard that and
I believe that is absolutely true. However, I just we
have gold, liquid gold under our feet. We will control
(02:16):
the market on energy. Good gosh. I mean when I say,
oh ye of little faith, I just believe that if
we cut out a few things and the tips would
be one and I do I will repeat that bill.
If Democrats voted to know against that, it'll get rid
of them for another cycle or two. Working people that
(02:41):
have lost anyway, they've lost. Men, Let this thing get
in place. Let Republicans show some kind of unity and
all these Monday morning quarterbacks. Where were you when Joe
Biden was destroying the country. Where were you when Barack
Obama was doing all that stuff. Republicans support it, give
(03:02):
him a chance to get what he wants. I'm telling you,
I just it's the way I feel. I was behind
him in Butler. I stood behind him then thinking it
was firecrackers, that it was bullets. And I'm standing there
with my camera and I'm telling you, I think this
president is going to pull this off. He's got trillions
coming in and manufacturing. Now, he's talking about getting trade
(03:25):
schools going. It's gonna take money to do that. But
I'm telling you, I just believe in him. I believe
in the American people. I think we're going to be
I'm a grandmother, so this is not for me, but
what I see in the future for our children and
grandchildren just from getting started doing something different, getting rid
(03:46):
of all the fat and the pork and give it away,
our money, given away our wealth all over the world,
everybody playing us for chumps, the countries that have been
taking advantage of us. That's ending. That has got to
have a positive effect, and it's all going to work out.
I just I think it'll all work out, Jeff.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
From your lips to God's ears, From your lips to
God's ears, Barbara, I always love listening to you when
you call in, Barbara, thank you very much for that call.
So you heard Barbara, don't tink her with it. I mean,
if you want take out the no tax on tips,
she says, politically, it'll annihilate the Democrats. I agree with her,
but overall her point is, look, now is not the
(04:28):
time for these massive spending cuts. Pass the bill. This
will unleash an economic boom this country's never seen before.
It'll really codify much of Trump's agenda. That's what we need.
America will soar let Trump be Trump. Agree, disagree? Paul inacting,
(04:49):
Thanks for holding Paul, and welcome, Hello Jeff.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
HiPE you just said hello, Jeff. Barbara is exactly right.
There's one more element, one more de mentioned that you
haven't mentioned today nor anyone else, and that is the
rules of the reconciliation game. It takes fifty one votes
only if you can't go back to the well until
time passes, and then you need sixty votes. So the
(05:15):
reason why it has to be the reason for these
big monster bills is that because of the reconciliation rules,
if the Democrats were honest people, then you can maybe
think rationally and hope to get the sixty past the
sixty vote barrier. But the problem is that that reconciliation game.
Ever since that got instituted, all the logic that you
(05:39):
and others have been professing would work nicely if we
lived without the reconciliation rules, if there was rationality, But
we've been poisoned for decades. There's a giant tidal wave
of toxicity, not only in the money aspect, but the
(06:00):
game is a magic carpet. If people lose confidence and
they vote Republicans out, the gabble will go to the
other side. They'll hit us over the head, they'll impeach,
and everything will back even worse than before. So I
beg you to take account of the reconciliation rules and
Musk and Ran Paul, for all their purity, they are
(06:23):
not playing by the rules of reality. The Democrats are.
That's why they're so strong and cohesion, because they know
all they need is power in the gabble. Mister Trump,
I've shook his hand back in twenty fifteen. He's an
honest man. I'm an octogenarian. I've seen it all. And
Barbara is absolutely right, and you have got to wake
(06:47):
up and talk to the professionals, not only tax professionals,
but political professionals, who will explain to you how it
is actually played. And so the reality is that we've
got to have this, this this transition over in the
top of this title wave and the five trillion death ceiling.
Well that may cost some pain, but mister rand Paul
(07:11):
is not. There's one driver on this bus and he
has only one chance to turn that big steering wheel,
and you can't go back again. God by the reconciliation rules.
Do you understand what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (07:22):
No, No, you're right. No, No, Paul, you're and please
call me Jeff, Paul. I'm not that important. Please don't
call me, sir, Call me Jeff Boston's bulldozer, cleaning up
the liberal bull six one seven two six six sixty
eight sixty eight. Okay, Sandy and I were literally just
talking like five seconds ago. You know, why was Paul
(07:43):
so loud on the phone. And he did say he's
an octogenarian, so he's, you know, in his eighties. I said,
great call, he made excellent points. I suspect he probably
has a hearing eight. I mean, I don't know, I'm
just guessing. So maybe that's why he feels speak very loudly.
But anyways, doesn't I don't care loud or soft. It
(08:04):
was a very good call. Okay, just super quick as
the lines are full. Six one seven two six six
sixty eight sixty eight is the number. All right. The
this is to show you how hard it is to
get any spending cuts whatsoever. Where I keep saying this
(08:29):
in the fifty years, they don't. They don't cut spending.
They've never cut spending. All they cut is the rate
of increase. They slow down the rate. That's what's called
they cut in Washington. They slow down the rate of increase.
And then the Democrats and the media, and this is
what I find so disgusting. They demagogue the issue, so
(08:53):
you know whatever, you're gonna push granny off a cliff.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
They're cut.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
They're cutting medici like here in this bill they're cutting Medicaid. No,
they're not cutting Medicaid. They're taking illegals off the Medicaid rolls.
And if you're a young, able bodied adult, you should
work if you're gonna collect Medicaid. No one's cutting. No
(09:19):
American citizen is seeing their Medicaid get cut. It's a
lie and by the way Medicaid has exploded in the
last twenty years in America. Why because all they do
is put everybody on Medicaid, especially illegals. But everybody you
want healthcare, put them on Medicaid. So Medicaid costs have
(09:41):
gone through the roof. There's been no cuts in Medicaid,
so you just slow down the rate of increase. And
primarily it's by kicking illegals off of Medicaid. There's one
point four million of them, and this bill will purge
the role of illegal aliens. But Medicaid is not being
(10:04):
cut for a single American citizen. That is a lie.
But that's the game that's played now. I talked about,
are we addicted to debt where we can't make a
single spending cut? And I want to ask all of you, okay,
not at a macro level, at a micro level, households,
(10:24):
when we make a decision in our home, grace and
I no, No, We're gonna tighten our belt, We're gonna
limit the spending. We're gonna make some we're gonna make
some cuts. Now, I don't ask myself for grace or whatever. Well,
we really like it, we really love it. If we
(10:45):
don't have the money. We don't. For example, the kids
want to go to Disney World. No, we're not going
to Disney. Why it's too expensive. Can't afford it. Maybe
next year, so whatever. We don't eat out as much.
Why it's too expensive. If oh, but we really love pizza,
well I'm sorry. We're just you know, by frozen pizza
(11:07):
and put it in the oven or the microwave or whatever.
In other words, of course, you give up things that
you like. But that's the nature of reigning in your spending.
Now every household does it, You do it, We do it.
Everybody does it. Nope, not Congress. So Paul made the point,
(11:32):
and he's right, because it's the reconciliation process. You cannot
cut discretionary spending. You have to go after, you know,
like the entitlements spending that is every year, every year,
every year. So you can't go after the discretionary stuff.
And that's where DOGE found a lot of its cuts,
(11:52):
was indiscretionary spending. So the argument that Trump and Steven
Miller and you know, Mike Johnson and others are making
is we're going to do the cuts to DOGE. We're
going to codify them. But we can't do it in
the Big Beautiful Bill because of the reconciliation process. But
we're going to start to do it after or along
(12:13):
with the Big Beautiful Bill. Here it is President Trump.
The White House yesterday sent Congress. Now, remember what did
DOAGE find one hundred and seventy five billion with a
B in waste, fraud and abuse. Did they send Congress
(12:39):
one hundred and seventy five billion dollar recisions package? Yet? Okay, Jeff?
Did they send them one hundred billion yet? Jeff? Come on,
fifty billion yet? Twenty billion yet? No, they just sent
(13:01):
this is the first step, I get it. But they
sent Congress a nine point four billion dollar DOGE recision package.
So it's the proverbial drop in the bucket. It's nine
point four billion out of one hundred and seventy five billion.
(13:21):
It's the first opening shot, the first opening salvo. And
this nine point four billion cuts one point one billion
from NPR and PBS. Yes, and it cuts eight point
three billion in foreign aid and of course usaid funding
(13:44):
where we found so much of the outrageous abuse and
fraud that took place. Now, this should be a slam
dunk if you're a Republican. This nine point four billion
is like it's like breathing. This should be Oh yeah, okay,
yeah yeah, let's pass it. Yep, yeah yeah, I'm all
for it. Yep, just give it, we take put it
(14:05):
in a bill, pass, Senate pass, President signs. Right. Nopechrius,
nobody can cut freaking spending. Susan Collins just came out
she's against it. Why is she against it? Because some
of the USAID programs and some of the four and
(14:25):
eight programs they go towards global healthcare. And I don't
want to see US count global healthcare. So no, we're
not gonna cut. Why be giving me on count global healthcare?
Number one, we can barely take care of our own
(14:47):
citizens as healthcare, we're thirty seven trillion dollars in the hole.
We're running two trillion. Maybe if this bill passes two
point five trillion dollar budget deficits, we're broke. What are
we doing funding healthcare programs around the world? Okay, but
again no, no, nobody, nobody can take a cut. Like
(15:12):
we have to have everything all the time, everything, no
matter what. So if you can't even pass a nine
point four billion dollar automatic recisions package, you're not gonna
cut a hundred billion, You're not cutting one hundred and
seventy five billion. You're not gonna cut anything. And that's
(15:35):
our problem. Nobody wants to cut anything. Nobody wants to sacrifice, nobody,
nobody wants to do without everybody. It's like all of
these special interests, these greedy, selfish special interests and pet projects,
(16:01):
nobody wants to sacrifice. And if it bankrupts the country,
it bankrupts the country. That to me is what's outrageous. Agree, disagree.
Tricia in Melrose. Thanks for holding Tricia, and welcome.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
I want to say thank you for all that you do.
And you're really stick in your neck out for everybody
and everything. A lot of things you say are very true.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Oh, thank you.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
And also I'm sorry about your father and everything.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
And we shouldn't have to go through these things. I mean,
I watch everything on TV. I make myself watch the
Senate and the Congress. I am so disgusted by what
I see, the hypocrisy and the lies that and you know,
in all the manipulation and everything else, Barbara was right.
(16:56):
And if we get oil in this country, not just
the town tariffs that come in from the manufacturing jobs
to come back. If we get oil in this country,
our country is going to be very prosperous. Whoever owns
the oil owns the leadership. And we were number one
in oil. We were number one in a lot of things.
(17:16):
And I make out a budget. I'm a senior. I
make out a budget. These things I need that I
don't get, but I try to save, like a dollar
here or a dollar there. And a God is who
makes me prosperous because I give to God and He's
never let me down in all the years I've served him.
(17:38):
And I have very little, but I have more than
some people. But you know what the problem is, Chef,
When people get money, You know, when people sometimes win
money or something like that and they never had in
their life, they just go crazy with spending and they
don't know how to stop, and they need to stop
(18:01):
and think. You know, I'm not going to always.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Tricia, you are on a roll. Six one seven two, six, six,
sixty eight sixty eight is the number. Okay, we lost Tricia.
I'm sorry we did, but she was making an excellent point.
How you know, people like her, many seniors, but frankly,
many Americans doesn't you have to be a senior or
an elderly person, watch every penny, look to save every dollar,
(18:29):
and they manage to balance their books and they do
go without. They make sacrifices. And why can't our members
of Congress do the same. Now, that's one of the
reasons why to be brutally honest with you. Like I'm
in the confessional, I'm a big supporter of term limits.
I'm not saying it's a silver bullet, but I think
(18:50):
it'll go a long way to solving the problems. Frankly,
the corruption, the graft, the swamp that is Washington DC.
Because they're owned so many of them are bought and
paid for. They are owned by the donor class, by
(19:11):
special interests, and by lobbyists, and that's why they can
never say no. And that's why you can never get
one thing cut. Ever, you can never get a real
spending cut, and that's why we're in the fiscal mess
now that we're in now, just very quickly. There is
another interesting aspect of this speaking of senior citizens, because
(19:33):
I was going to ask Tricia is she on Social Security?
I assume the answer is yes. I don't know, but
I assume she's elderly. She says, she counts her pennies
and she watches every dollar, and so I assume she's
on Social Security. Well another thing, now that is driving
many MAGA supporters furious. Lived For example, Charlie Kirk, who's
(19:55):
one of Trump's biggest supporters, a big MAGA influencer, is
now blasting this as you go through the you know,
the twelve hundred pages, now blasting the bill saying, yes, now,
we talked about this. There's a Souse version and a
Senate version, but at least there's some you know, some
no taxes on tips, okay, whether it's cut off at
(20:19):
twenty five thousand or it's unlimited, but the point is, okay,
at least there's something there where no tax on tips,
no tax on overtime. But as Charlie Kirk and many
others have pointed out, there is not There is no
no tax on Social security, on Social Security benefits. If
(20:40):
you remember Trump expressly promised and rightly so, saying why
should seniors constantly take it on the chin. We're gonna
have no tax on tips, and that helps younger workers
in the service sector. People work in bars and restaurants,
and that's wonderful, And we're gonna help working middle class
people with no tax on overtime. Again, wonderful. Okay, you
(21:04):
tend to be more middle aged, whatever, but still, okay,
I'm not saying young people don't work overtime. Of course
they do. But so young people get taken care of,
middle aged people get taken care of. But now it
comes to our seniors. Well, the bill, actually there does
not get rid of taxes on Social Security. What it
does is give a deduction up to four thousand dollars,
(21:30):
So four thousand dollars is not taxed. After that it's taxed.
So I don't know if this is a betrayal, but
you're clearly watering down one of Trump's central promises, and
many senior citizens are upset. Kirk is upset, although he's
(21:52):
far from a senior citizen, but his point is, why
are senior citizens always the ones left holding the bag?
How come we don't do anything for them? Many of
them are on a fixed income. Inflation has really hurt them.
It's hurt everybody, but it's really hurt them because they're
more vulnerable because many of them don't work, they're too
(22:15):
old to work. And so now they're not even getting
no tax on Social Security benefits. They're going to get
a nice deduction, but a deduction is ultimately not no tax,
so they're kind of getting screwed as well. Fix it,
fix it, like I'm sorry. I'm with Charlie Kirk on this.
(22:38):
Fix it no no tax on tips, no tax on overtime,
and no tax on Social Security period full stop. I mean,
this is not rocket science. Agree, disagree. George in New Hampshire,
Thanks for holding George, and welcome.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Hey yeah, hi, I heard this from Savage years ago,
and basically, I think the only way to do it.
I mean, obviously it would be brilliant if we had
term limits, but I don't see that happening. It's just
department reductions. So each department has to cut five percent
from their budget, and that's the only way this would work.
(23:20):
It takes it away from the politician and it puts
it into a bureaucrat that it's their term's got a sunset.
So that's how you handle it, I think. I mean,
especially the way Trump's playing with all this special lieutenants
that are TV stars and you know, they have some
street credit with the public and they can speak on
(23:42):
camera and basically you just say, hey, you got to
cut three percent from your budget this year. That's the
way we deal with this.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Well, George, I love it. By the way, I love it.
I think it's a great suggestion. I think it's a
great idea. And I think, George, and again you may disagree,
I'm just giving you my two cents worth that I
think is part of the mission of DOGE. I think
it's one of the reasons why Elon and Trump, you know,
came together and said, let's do DOGE. Make it permanent.
And that's what DOGE is supposed to be fostering and encouraging.
(24:13):
In other words, you know, three percent, five percent, whatever
it is. No, we want cuts in every department three
four percent every single year until we start to balance
our budget and eventually start paying down some of his debt.
The problem, George, and I'd love to get your take
on this is look at Elon, and I think that's
(24:33):
why he's really attacking the bill. I think that's why
he's angry about the bill and has come out swinging
against it. He comes up with one hundred and seventy
five billion dollars in cuts, he shaves about ten percent
off the bloated federal bureaucracy. About what is it? A
couple hundred thousand people ended up being fired out of
(24:55):
two million bureaucrats, fat cat bureaucrats, many of them. And
look at the hell that was unleashed, The pandemonium, the panic,
the Democrats vilifying him, Republicans running away from him. Nobody
defended him outside of Trump. Nobody defended him, the media
(25:18):
villifying him, demonizing him. The sky is falling. You know,
it's a dysfunctional government. He's dismantling the government. You know,
we can't get basic social services. Planes are falling out
of the sky because of what Elon is doing. They
blamed him for everything under the sun. And all this
(25:40):
guy did was cut a fraction of the federal bureaucracy.
And in fact, many of the cuts weren't even implemented.
He just you know, said, okay, we found this waste
for ought and abuse here it is, okay, this waste
in this department here it is now Congress, you gotta
you know, you gotta codify this, you gotta pa these cuts.
(26:01):
Just the mere mentioned that this was waste, fraud and abuse.
Suddenly Washington is in a panic because they never want
to see their power shrunk. Whenever an outsider comes and
wants to shrink its power. They're nasty, they're vicious, they attack,
they want to destroy you. And that's what they did
to Elon. My point being, George, if they did this
(26:24):
to Elon, who's the wealthiest man in the world, who's
got a massive following on X, who before this was
beloved in America, and now his reputations in tatters, he's
persona nongrada in Washington, they pooh pooh they I mean,
they're burning is Tesla dealerships. For God's sake, George, what
(26:47):
are they going to do if they actually really start
cutting three four percent of an agency every single year.
I mean, if they did this to Elon, you start
going three four five percent, We're going to look at
a revolution on the street. I'm just going by the
reaction of the media, the Democrats, the political class. Am
(27:08):
I wrong, George?
Speaker 5 (27:11):
I mean, I probably you're probably right. I mean, but
I mean the facts are the facts. I mean, we
can use the language of the left and just say,
you know, kitchen table, you know economics and couch it
with you know, a Blue Ribbon committee or whatever. But
the reality is, it's just this is where we're at.
(27:32):
And you know, if anybody that runs a business understands,
you know, it's it's black and white. Yeah, you live
for your results, so and you move forward.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
And that's where we're at.
Speaker 5 (27:44):
And anybody that lives in a household of the tight
budget watches every penny. So, I mean, I think most
people could relate to it. But I mean I'm not
you know, a pr person how to swing it, but
I mean just an idea, and I think that that's
the only way.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
I think it's a great idea. No, George, I think
what needs to happen is I think Republicans have to
grow a pair. No really, and I think it's time
for us on the conservative side. We've got to when
they start with this, he's dismantling government. The sky is falling,
the government's dysfunctional. Like, we've got to really start telling him, bs,
(28:25):
knock it off. You're fear mongering. This is you're lying.
This is hysteria, and we're not gonna accept it anymore. Like, no,
we're gonna balance our books. Well, I'm sorry, bureaucrats are
gonna get laid off and that's just life. Get a job,
Get a real job in the private sector. Okay, if
(28:46):
you're getting laid off, it's because you're redundant. I understand
there are many civil servants who we need, of course,
but if you're getting if you're part of that three
four percent that's getting laid off, probably it's because someone
else is doing what you're doing and better. So, you
know what, get a job in the private sector. Like,
(29:06):
we've got to start pushing back, George, because honestly, people
are looking at Elon and saying, if they put this
guy through the wringer, what the hell are they going
to do to me? That's why everybody's petrified to make
a cut. George again, I want to give you the
final word. What say you?
Speaker 5 (29:23):
I really don't. I don't really have a lot to add.
I mean, I mean, it's just it's just it's a
cluster and it just needs to be wreckoned. And it's
that simple. I'm with you. And Trump is about the
only person's person and president that we've had that actually
says things that are controversial, most of them. Of Alban Vinlin.
(29:43):
It doesn't matter what circus they are part of, the
Democrat or a Republican. You know, it's it's that's why
we're here, you know. And the reality is that we
just like you said, we need to be adults and
we need to address the issue, and we need to
you know, for our future, for our kids, for our
grand kids.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Now you nail that, George. I love it. Great idea.
And we've got to grow a spine. And Trump has
a spine, there's no question. And I love the idea.
I would almost go to Doge and say, you know what,
let's make this mandatory. This is like a Doge mandate
to the entire federal bureaucracy, the entire federal government. Every year,
your budget's got to shrink three percent, not slow down
(30:22):
the rate of increase. Cut three percent, Find three percent,
and then the following year, find another three percent, and
then the following year, find another three percent until we
balance our budget. Look, really, we balance our books at home.
We make cuts. They're not pleasant cuts, but the cuts
(30:44):
have to be made. Really, was you know, I wasn't
kidding about Disney. Kids want to go to Disney. There's
no money. Sorry, we're not No. I don't have twenty
thousand dollars to take everybody to Disney. I'm sorry, there's
no Disney is unbelievable. They want the cruise, you know,
the Disney cruise. I'm like, do you know what a
Disney cruise is? No, there's no money. Bye, but I
(31:05):
was looking forward to it. Too bad, too bad. Six
one said, you know, life sucks. I don't know what
else to say. Six one, seven two six, six sixty
eight sixty eight. Okay. Normally at this time we have
doctor Grace putting liberals in their place. She was not
able to make it. It's a long story, but she
(31:28):
literally was not able to make it. But she sent
me a text message that she wanted me to relay
to all of you, and it goes right to the
issue that we're discussing, and of course she disagrees with me.
Big shock, big surprise. So here is what Grace wrote
(31:49):
to me to relate to you. Jeff. My message to
Kooner Country is this, this is not the time to
discuss spending cuts. I disagree with you. Jeff. Trump has
already done more and taken more heat on government reform
(32:10):
than any other president in our lifetime. Washington always spends
The only question is are we spending it on liberal
or conservative policies. This bill resets our spending two MAGA priorities,
the border, military, defense, and tax cuts for the working
(32:35):
and middle class. Without this bill, the economy stalls and
Trump will lose the midterms. Musk should have kept his
mouth shut. He is not being a team player. This
is ultimately Senate Rhino sabotage of MAGA and Trump. This
(33:00):
is a big, beautiful winner. As I wrote in my
column last week, if we try to reform this spending
and government now, we risk that the bill won't pass
the House. Just pass it, Blessings to all. So Grace
(33:20):
is saying pass it as is because the alternative is
essentially the end of Trump's presidency. Agree, disagree. And furthermore,
she says that Musk should have said nothing, that he
should not have opened his mouth, that he shouldn't have
gone to CBS and say he didn't like the bill,
(33:43):
and of course yesterday on X calling it a disgusting abomination.
And she says he should have been a team player
and basically zipped it. Do you agree with doctor Grace
six one seven two, six six sixty eight sixt My
honest opinion, I think the man's entitled to his opinion.
(34:05):
I think he's earned it. He's a friend of Trump's,
he's an advisor of Trumps. He put his entire reputation
in life on the line for these doage cuts. If
he honestly believes the spending is out of control, then
I think he has a duty both to the president
and to the country to say so. If he really
(34:27):
believes it's an abomination, then speak your mind. This is
a free country, so I don't like to have people
muzzled because somehow it'll you know, muddy the waters, or
have a lot of debate, or whatever it may be.
I think Elon Musk is a great American. You may agree,
(34:48):
you may disagree, And I think he's done yeoman work
for the country. And if his conscience, if, if his
conscience is telling him in good faith, I think this
is bad for America in the long run. It's too
much spending, too at least the too high a debt.
It's unsustainable, it will bankrupt us. Then you should say so,
(35:12):
and we should have a vigorous debate and let the
chips fall where they may. It's called freedom. But that's
me agree, disagree. Mark in Connecticut, Thanks for holding Mark
and welcome, Good morning, Jeff, Hi Mark.
Speaker 6 (35:28):
You know, one of the big problems we have is
these giant, massive bills that have to be passed right
away because you got to get this bill. You know,
that's nonsense. That's where they pack all this garbage in there.
And you know the Republicans are ninety percent of the
Republicans are just as scummy as the Democrats are. What
we should do is say, okay, you want this, Every
(35:49):
single word of this bill has to be read on
the floor and you have to be there for this bill.
Then this bill goes to the Senate, and every single
word that bill has to be read on the floor
to Senate and you have to be there to hear
every single word. You know, that would eliminate these giant,
(36:09):
massive bills. They ain't gonna happen though. It's just like
our elections are, you know, bought basically by lobbyists, and
that could stop. Okay, we pay for your elections. Now
you get this many ads, you get this many billboards,
you get this many yard signs. This is how many
debates you're gonna do. That's it. That gets the money
(36:32):
out of it. Now you're all equal. And if you
get caught with extra you're gone, not only off the trail,
but you're gonna do a little jail time election fraud.
You know, this stuff has to stop and a problem.
We need term limits, but these scumbacks aren't gonna vote
themselves term limits. This is their cash cow. This is
(36:52):
why I'm not a Republican anymore. I'm a I'm a constitutionalist.
I strongly believe in a constitution, a nice States of America.
I've read it six times and I sometimes I just
pick it up and read it. Those men were geniuses
and they cared about country. You know, our life, our
sacred honor. You know, look a look at what governor
(37:15):
of New Jersey. You know, they had his son and
they said, you know, you know, we'll kill him if
you sign it. He signed it, and you know, I
mean this was their sacred honor. These people have no honor.
They're scum. They were bond paid for. And I grant
you there's a few of them that are good. Uh,
(37:36):
Trump's you know, Trump is great, but Trump is already rich,
and he cares about this country, just like the men
with their sacred honor they shot the guy. He's not stopping,
you know, but those people don't have his ideals. They're
in it for the money and for their own gratification.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Mark, where do you stand on the bill? Do you
think Elon is right in his criticism or should Trump
ignore him and have it passed as is?
Speaker 6 (38:05):
I think Elon is one hundred percent right on this bill.
It has to be sent back. Look, he did all
your reason. He's so upset. He did all that work,
and you know, to cut the government, you know, his reputation,
like you already said, went into toilet. He risked everything
to you know, cut the government down the size. And
these people pass a twelve hundred page bill with all
(38:28):
kinds of garbage in it with you know, we're still
going to fund the green news scam. It's insane. These
people have their cash cows. Elon is right, and you know,
as far as you know, I love Grace, well not
like you, you know what I mean, and.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
In a non sexual way, in a non sexual way.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
Yeah, but I think she's wrong on this one. You
know what, never shut your mouth. No more opinions the better.
Now that separates us from the Democrats. We want opinions,
We want to hear what everybody has to say. So
we can make informed decisions and learn every side of
every situation. So yeah, I think she's wrong on this one.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Mark. I agree with you, my friend. My wife is
wrong on this Mark, thank you very much for that call.
I'm with Mark all the way. That's look to me,
that's the essence of the problem is we have, as
Mark Twain famously said, we have the best Congress money
can buy. And I think both parties Democrats Republicans are
(39:32):
bought and paid for and they're owned by the donors.
They're owned by the globalists, they're owned by special interests,
they're owned by the lobbyists. And look at them. They're
running debt after debt after debt, deficit after deficit. Now
it never goes down the deficit. Do you remember under
Bush when the deficit hit half a billion, sorry, half
(39:54):
a trillion dollars five hundred billion, it was considered this
huge scandal.
