entertainer and everything in between.

We hope that you embrace thechallenge to shift your perspective
as we equip you and the nextgeneration for a wildly wealthy life.
Hey everyone.
Welcome back.
So I love ladders because I'm five feettall and for my fellow shorties out there,
(01:36):
it really helps when you have a two stepfootstool or a three to four step ladder
to reach the cabinets in your kitchen.
So ladders are great.
And so when I was thinking of myframework, I thought about naming this
the wildly wealthy life ladder becauseit's really, I feel like what has so
It's been instrumental in helping mereach the goals that I want to reach.
(01:59):
So if you think of a ladder,oh I already drew it over here.
So for those of you who are listeningon Spotify, you can't see the
drawing, but if you're on YouTubethen you obviously can see this.
So my beautiful ladder over here, thevery bottom step is actually the frame.
And the frame for me is basicallythe foundation that you can control.
(02:20):
It is where you're ableto cultivate your mindset.
I think that in life there's very, very little things that we can control.
And one of the most important thingsthat we can control is actually
our foundation and our mindset.
I think about how.
We have no control over thefamily that we're born into.
We have no control over the kind ofparents that are going to race us.
(02:42):
We have no control over thecountry that we are born into.
We have no control over thestatus, the financial status of
the family that we're born into.
Um, there's so many thingswe just can't control.
Right.
And, and, you know, when I wasyounger, my parents left at a young
age, uh, I was Seven when my parentsleft and they left for good reasons.
(03:04):
They left because they wanted to go tothe States to get a better job and send
us money at home in the Philippines.
And that was amazing.
I'm so glad that they were able todo that and gave us a better future.
However.
There was still this abandonmentissue that I felt as a child because
no matter how much I understood thatOkay, mom and dad left for my own
(03:25):
good because this is them making thatsacrifice to give me a better future
I still cannot understand that in mytiny little brain, you know, seven year
old brain that It was a good thing.
Like I just, yeah, I know it theoreticallythat it's a good thing, but I don't
really understand that it's a goodthing in my mind and in my heart.
(03:47):
It just hurt, right?
Because your parents left, you'reseven years old and you don't know
how to cope with that until I gotolder and realized, Oh, wow, I
have a lot of abandonment issues.
So.
I could have had let, you know, circumstances and all these other
situations really affect the way I think, and of course it did, right, but I also
(04:10):
knew how to, um, change my mindset.
Did it come when I was little?
I don't, I'm not really sure.
I think that as a young child, I was justreally interested in a lot of activities.
And I think I just besieged myselfwith activities to really understand
that I was hurting from the inside.
Um, but as an adult, it allsurfaced and it all came out.
(04:30):
And so as an adult, I learned howto kind of, Shift my mindset and
shift my perspective around thatwhole situation in my childhood.
So, think of frame, alright?
The frame is the frameof mind that you're in.
And for me, a frame, right, like if youthink of a picture frame, it is literally
the contents, it frames the contents ofthe picture that's inside that frame.
(04:53):
So if you're an artist, you usuallyhave a frame for your art, right?
And the smaller the frame, The moredifficult it is to fit all of the drawings
and everything in that frame, right?
The bigger the frame, right, the more grand the artwork is.
We were just recently in Paris and we wentto the Louvre and I looked at all this art
(05:16):
and they're just so friggin incredible.
They're magnificent works of art.
And the bigger it is, the moreOoh, just the grandness of it just
takes your breath away, really.
But then, of course, the smallerones also have some intricacy to it.
There's a beauty in that as well, right?
But I'm not talking about really the size.
I'm really talking aboutwhether your frame is fixed.
(05:38):
Or whether your frame is open andyou're, you're open to learning.
So for me, I think about the frame asagain, it's everything that shapes your
actions, your decisions, the way yousee yourself, the way you see the world.
And if your frame is always justone sided and it's a fixed frame,
(06:00):
it's a fixed mindset, you'renever going to be able to grow.
Right, you're never going to be ableto challenge the way you think and and
maybe see things from other people'sperspectives And so the most important
part here is truly the frame I thinkthat it actually is the thing that sets
you up for success and sets you apartwhether or not your next step is actually
(06:23):
going to be A step that's going to giveyou an edge in this world or not and
so It's so important to get that frameYour mindset your frame of mind, right?
Because if not It is the one thingthat's going to pull you down over and
over and over again So my question foryou on this first step Is what kind of
(06:44):
picture are you painting in your frame?
Is it a picture that is fullof life full of possibilities?
Vibrant joyful so muchenergy or is it a picture?
That is full of doubt Regret blamefull of unforgiveness, right?
(07:05):
All these other things.
What kind of picture areyou painting in your frame?
The second step in the ladderis aim and aim to me is where
you channel your curiosity.
And you know, once you havedecided that I will be this person
who will have a growth mindset.
The next part here is really,Being curious having that childlike
(07:26):
curiosity and always asking questions.
What can I learn from this right andeverything that you do in every life
situation that you face ask yourself.
What can I learn from this?
Is there something that is Not to bemissed in this particular situation
because if I don't miss it this timethe next time this happens again I
(07:48):
will be more equipped and I will bestronger right and so for me, right?
I think it boils down to notbeing afraid of looking stupid.
Okay, when I was a kid at schoolI love to participate in school,
but every single time, everysingle time, I'm not even kidding.
Before I raised my hand, I am sweating.
(08:10):
I'm afraid because I'm always afraidthat I might say the wrong thing.
I might pronounce something incorrectly.
The wrong answer might come out.
It might not come out.
Well, even now when I do my episodesfor the podcast, not just in this,
but like in 2021 when we had thepodcast, like it's, it's kind of
hard sometimes, you know, like thisis one of those things where you put
yourself out there, you're talking and.
(08:31):
You're like, well, hopefully peopleare listening and hopefully people
find value in it, but I don't reallyknow and am I even just Talking to
someone and is this even making sense?
And i'm afraid of puttingmy voice out there, right?
And so at some point in my life,I just had to realize that if I
keep Dimming my voice if I keepbeing afraid of speaking up, right?
(08:55):
I'm never gonna be able to putmyself out there to kind of
test what I believe in, right?
I think it's really important thatyou have a really great mindset.
But then after that, well, how areyou going to exercise that mindset?
And to me exercising that mindset isactually going into curiosity and keep
asking questions and And in puttingyourself in situations where you're
(09:18):
not afraid to stumble or fall and andlearn like a child because children
they They don't they don't they'renot afraid to stumble and fall.
They just ask questions They ask a tonof questions all the time and they're
not afraid of looking stupid I rememberwhen I first started really being serious
about stunt work and I was traininga lot on different things stunt wise
(09:40):
from you know shooting to Wirework toAll sorts of different stuff just like
a basic fight choreography and I neverhad any martial arts background And I
never had any gymnastics background.
So for me training in a gym Whereliterally everyone is just like well
the for the most part like everyoneis so excellent like amazing tricker
(10:01):
slippers fighters martial artistsAnd I go in there and i'm like, hi.
Um, I know nothing and I look atthe Incredibly awkward doing some
of these things, but I just wentfor it and it didn't matter that it
looked awkward and it looks silly.
I was just learning.
And so aim for me is thepart again where you start.
(10:25):
Really nurturing that curiosity in you andso the question here for you in this step
aim is What are you aiming to be curiousabout in this next stage in your life?
Is there something that you've alwayswanted to kind of learn but you're just
afraid right because It's somethingnew like let's say it's public
speaking and you're just so deathlyafraid of public speaking, right?
(10:47):
You're curious about it, butyou're deathly afraid right
again go back to frame, right?
We have to kind of go back.
Why are we in that mindsetof just deathly afraid?
Why are we stuck right finding outthe layer beneath that and then?
Just literally nipping that inthe butt and just going for it.
Just just kind of going forit and being curious and and
(11:08):
doing it and maybe small doses.
Maybe practice just putting a video and aone minute video out there and talking to
the camera and just practicing it, right?
So to me that is curiosity.
The third step and the latter is claim.
So claim is There's a rhyme and reasonyou guys frame and claim All right.
(11:29):
So the the third step in the ladderis claim and this is where you really
build your confidence Um to me This partright here is claiming what you know
so you settled with your mindset andyou said I will have a growth mindset
and I will I will decide that i'mgoing to learn no matter what You went
into curiosity you aim for curiosity.
You aim for new learning you aim fornew possibilities Please And then
(11:54):
you go to claim it to me, claimingis kind of putting your stakes in
the ground and saying, Hey, I justdid all of this work and now I'm
going to put it to test, right?
By literally applying what you've learned.
So for me what that looks like is, okay,in music theory for example, right?
I could learn how to just readnotes off of the page of a paper.
(12:18):
But until I can actually play that andput the application behind it, I can't
really call myself a piano player, right?
You may be able to just, like, lookat the thing and, and, and read the
notes, but until you can play it,it is not really yours yet, right?
To me, building confidence is really, truly about claiming the knowledge
(12:41):
that you've learned, because theyall say that knowledge is power,
but then, Lately, people have reallyrealized that knowledge is not power.
Knowledge is just the potential for power.
And so when you claim your territory andsay, okay, I have been curious enough
about this thing, I have looked into it.
I've asked questions about it.
I've learned about it.
(13:03):
Now, let me actually go outthere and speak publicly.
Right?
That is putting it in practicebecause that's the only way they
are going to be able to claim whatyou've learned is and build the
confidence is literally by application.
Just another quick example on that one, because I feel like this is where, gosh,
like I've just like learned so much.
(13:23):
When I first started teachingpiano online, 15 years with
all different disciplines fromliterally chess to dance to aerial.
And then I started teaching piano and.
I was like, well, how much do I charge?
Like, I don't know.
And, you know, I looked at peoplelike coaches and business coaches,
and they always say that when you'restarting charge, what you feel you
(13:47):
can charge, charge, what you think.
People would pay for, especially becauseyou're just starting, you're new, right?
So, I charged, like, in my opinion, like, I feel like very little for
my piano lessons at that time.
But then, because I builtthe confidence, right?
I, I applied what I learned, I, I learnedhow to teach piano, and then I put it into
(14:09):
application with my first set of students.
And then, the more I did it, themore that I just built my confidence.
And now I can really truly likethere's no there's no doubt about it.
I can claim that yes I am a piano teacherwhen I was first starting it was like,
oh, sometimes i'm like embarrassedlike I don't know I'm a piano teacher.
I guess i'm a piano teacher Um, butbut at that point right like once
(14:33):
you've taught like over a hundredstudents you can you're like, yeah
Oh, yeah, i'm a piano teacher now.
Does that mean that there's no?
No doubt sometimes in mymind or imposter syndrome.
Oh, heck.
Yeah, there's there's still thosekind of kinds of moments, right?
But the point is the moment you startbuilding your confidence because
of application The more that youactually really see your value, right?
(14:57):
And so nowadays like Obviously the pricethat I was charging back then years
ago in my piano lessons is definitelynot the price that I charge now Because
I know my worth I know what I bringto the table I've seen the results
over and over again year after year.
So that's why when I say, okay, this iswhat i'm worth This is what my rates are.
I don't flinch, you know, I don'tbat an eye because to me it's what I
(15:18):
feel it's worth That is claiming yourterritory and your confidence The
fourth step in the wealthy wealthy lifeladder is game We're rhyming, you guys.
Frame, aim, claim, game.
That's me trying to be a DJ.
All right.
So, um, obviously I'm not.
So, yeah, don't hate, okay?
(15:39):
So, you have established yourselfas someone with a growth mindset
and you made a commitment thatyou are going to challenge every
limiting belief that you have.
You have aimed for curiosity.
You have asked questions.
You have aimed for learning.
And then you claimed your confidenceby putting into application what
you've learned and now you get intothe game and the game for me is where
(16:03):
you step into the arena and actuallytest it at the higher stake, right?
Where there's higher stakes.
So, for example, to me, this iskind of like, like in sports, right?
In the claim part, you're buildingyour confidence by practicing.
You're practicing your shots, you'repracticing your dribbles, uh, you're
practicing with your teammates, right?
But until you actually play a game,With real opponents, you will really
(16:29):
never know what you've got, right?
It's not possible to know what you're madeof until you actually step into the game.
And so for me, game iswhere you challenge.
Everything that you've learned.
Um, for me, that's why pianorecitals, when I teach,
like, I think it's important.
(16:49):
Like, like, yeah, it's, to me, it's notabout like performance where like you
have to be perfect, you have to show off.
It's, it's none about that.
It's just about putting like a higherstake to what you've learned and
putting yourself out there because atthe end of the day, I hope that we're.
At least in my end, right?
Like I really emphasize that Iwant my students to learn how
to play music because music ismeant to be shared with people.
(17:11):
And if you can sit down and shareyour music to other people without
fear of like, Oh, stumbling over yournotes or getting scared, and this
is something that I always Strugglewith too by the way to this day.
I still struggle with like, you knowbeing perfect on the piano That's why
I really teach I really go against itbecause I just don't think there's really
such a thing on being like the perfectpianist It's really just about the joy
(17:34):
that music brings and no matter if youstumble across the notes When you put
yourself out there and you just playfor people, there's magic that happens.
And that's exactly when youput yourself in the game.
When you play a game withactual opponents, magic happens.
And not to mention, it is onlyin gameplay where you're able to
(17:55):
look back and see, What did I do?
Is there something thatI could have done better?
Is there something that couldbe tweaked in business talk?
Right?
Like for me, I'm currentlyrelaunching, recreating my existing
program into something else.
Right.
And what I have learned is literallyonce we launch, no matter how good the
(18:17):
launches or how bad it is, if it's bad, good or bad, I'm not really wanting to
label it as good as, or bad to me, youknow, I have a set number of students
that I would love to have enrolled intothe launch, but like, If I don't reach
that set of students, that is my goal, then all I have to do is keep doing
the same thing, but tweak it and tweakit and refine it and tweak it, right?
(18:40):
But it's all about putting yourselfout there and actually getting into the
game of, Because if you're not playingthe game, how are you going to learn?
So the question here for you is, uh, yeah, what games are you playing these days?
Because, uh, I think that it'sthe truly one of the ways to
learn so quickly, but it's alsotruly one of the most fun moments.
(19:05):
I think that you get to create inyour life is actually by Playing
the game of life and going for it.
So, the last step in this WildlyWealthy Life ladder is Flame.
Flame!
Put yourself on fire!
Flame is where you ignite your creativity.
So, to me, right, all of theseexperiences Literally has
(19:29):
your own flavor to it, right?
The way you challenge yourmindset has your own flavor to it.
The way you ask questionshas your own way of doing it.
The way you build your confidence andpractice what you've learned, the way
you step into the arena and actually, you know, be in the game and test
everything with it that you've learned.
(19:50):
It's your own unique flavor.
It's taken me a long, long time toget here, a long time to get here,
but I realized that this wholetime, you know, cause I've enrolled
in so many business coaching, mindset training, all these things.
And, and sometimes like we getinto this thing, we're like,
well, what's the magic sauce?
What's the magic sauce?
And maybe they're going toteach me something else.
(20:12):
That's going to be better.
You know, maybe someone is going to comealong and say, Finally going to click
right and because they're going to teachme something and yes, those are true But
for the most part what really is trueis that the magic sauce is you it's you
Magic sauce is me magic sauce is you andI realized that again It's taking me a
(20:36):
long time to get here But now you knowwhen people come to me and for whatever
reason they don't like me or or whateverLike I just realized people will just
not like me because it's me And peoplewill also like me because it's me.
And it's exactly the samething with business, right?
Like if I, when I'm offering my programout there and people buy from me, it's
(20:56):
because it's me, there's literally anotherpiano teacher right online, but they
will not buy from that person becausethey want to buy from me because it's me.
Um, and it's the same thingthe other way around, right?
They will not enroll with mebecause they don't like me.
So the magic sauce is you,and that is your creativity.
And so creativity to me is kind oflike your own way of seeing things
(21:21):
your own perspective on things it'sum Your own take and when you bring
that flame when you bring that extrasauce, which is again already you Right
to all of this It's literally whatsets you apart from everyone else.
And I do believe that everyone isunique and everyone is set apart.
And we are all called toa very specific purpose.
(21:44):
And, you know, there's billions ofpeople out here in the world, and we're
supposed to impact the people that isgoing to be our tribe that is going to
actually respond to what you're sharing.
And so to me, Yeah, flame is justthat To me, it's the last step because
it kind of encapsulates everythingright it starts with your mind, right
(22:07):
with your mind here where You reallyhave to challenge your self limiting
beliefs and then it also ends Withyourself it ends with your secret sauce
which again is You so I hope that youguys enjoyed this to recap, right?
We have the five steps to a worldlywealthy life ladder You It's the frame.
(22:29):
This is where you challenge yourself limiting beliefs and decide
that you will have a growth mindset.
You will be that person thatwill always grow your mindset
and expand your, your mind.
Aim here is where you aimfor curiosity and learning.
You ask questions.
You don't pretend that you know it alland don't be afraid of making mistakes.
Claim here is where you put theinformation into action, right?
(22:53):
With that, this is where youbuild confidence because.
Like in piano, right?
If I practice every day, um, I'm literallyputting everything that I'm learning
into action and I am building confidence.
And after I, I've claimed my territoryand I've built the confidence, I go
into the arena and I play the game.
Uh, the game is where there'shigher stakes involved.
(23:13):
And this is where you reallyget to challenge everything that
you've learned and your mindset.
it and the questions that you've asked.
And then it's also where you getto improve because it's only when
you play the game that you getto look back and check, well,
what could I have done better?
What can I tweak next time?
What can I improve on?
And the flame goes back to youwhere it is your magic sauce.
This is where you spark theworld with your own creativity.
(23:37):
So.
That's it.
I hope you enjoyed that.
