Speaker 6 (00:46):
Am stormy with you.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
We're up in here on this Monday, April the seventh. Wow,
back up in here. After everything that happened, man over
the last few days around here, another possibility of tornadoes
in our area on Saturday. This time, I did not

(01:09):
have to go to the closet. Ah. I was headed
that way though if I had to, But uh Nope,
didn't have to do it. Jackson, And I'm so glad
that many of you are okay. S thinning some love
and prayers out to the folks that lost somebody. Yeah,
I hope y'all are okay. Yeah, record water you know

(01:34):
what I thought about too, that I'd kind of forgotten about.
You know. Last week was also the anniversary of the
death of doctor King and I don't know if y'all know,
but the night that he died, the night that he
was killed, Yeah, they said a storm came through Memphis
like no other. And it seems like usually around that time,

(01:54):
you know, there's always a lot of water. I didn't
put two and two together until you know, today, and
I thought about it. Yeah, So it was the anniversary
of this passing last week, and so we got a
lot of water, didn't we Huh, possibility of tornadoes and
all of that stuff all through the Mid South to

(02:15):
by the way. A lot of folks you know, that
were injured and people that died. It was just a big,
big situation, still big to the people, I guess in
West Memphis and other places. So West Memphis, the mayor
and the police they were sending folks. They were sending boats,
not trucks, not cars. They were sending boats out to

(02:37):
help people that were trapped in their homes and things
like that. And I did see on Fox thirteen where
they said, you know, the Tennessee Emergency of Management Agency
is reminding residents across the state to contact the Crisis
clean Up Hotline to help with such things as tarping
and falling trees and they say the service is free.
Hear that the crisis clean up hotline is six to

(02:59):
one five four eight eight one eight seven five. If
you need help, I'll give that number out again. Yeah,
let me know, y'all, let me I got you because
people did. I saw one person on social media and
they were detailing the water that was in front of
their home and they were talking about how they were
big mad at the city of Memphis because they were like,

(03:21):
why why didn't the city come clean these drains? Now,
that's a good question because it made me think about something.
And I was talking to a friend of mine all weekend.
We were talking about how what are your tax dollars for?
You know what I'm saying, if they're not for things
like that, and Memphis being as small as it is

(03:44):
in West Memphis two, I get. I get a lump
y'all up in there too, because y'all had, you know,
a record flooding over there as well. But what are
we paying our tax What are our tax dollars for
if it's not to clean the drainage system and things
like that. I mean, come on, now, think about it.

(04:06):
You know what I'm saying, a lot of homes were
affected by all of that water. And are we prepared enough?
Are we prepared enough for when things like that happen?
You know, here's the thing. A lot of folks ain't
got the money to be prepared. You know, you you
got your house, You're trying to do the best you
can with it, you know what I'm saying. And then

(04:27):
you come something like this, you know, like what happened
a lot of us, you know, you live where you live,
and a lot of folks, you know, they're they're either
they bought the house or their family member bought the house,
passed it down to them, and you know, and that's
where they are. And what I I don't understand it.

(04:51):
If our tax dollars aren't for cleaning up things like that,
then what it was it for? And maybe y'all know
better than me. Tell me what? What did we're paying
taxing for it? Tell me? Tell me? Do y'all know?
You know what I'm saying, cause you getting hit with
them taxes, and your taxes in Memphis have gone up.

(05:16):
So who's gonna clean these drains? And I saw a
lot of people on social media cleaning their drains? I did.
I saw a lot of y'all probably saw it too.
But this one thing right here, this is the probably
the thing that blew my mind. Oh Lulu, whose son

(05:40):
is this?

Speaker 6 (05:42):
Lulu is out.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
There in that drain, y'all. I guess they I heard
they told Lulu they give him some money if he
go off in there, and said he was gonna, you know,
get five hundred dollars. We go off in that drain.
Y'all seen that video, Lulu, Lului is off in that water,

(06:05):
bababe in the Mississippi, about to drown. He went under
the under the road. Thank god, Lulu is okay. But
who put Lulu up to doing that? Somebody gonna get
a whooping. When I saw that, y'all, I kid you, no,

(06:25):
I could not believe it. And it's pretty much gone
viral on social media, you know. As matter of fact,
I'm on, Lulu survived. I'm gonna tell y'all, Lulu looked
like he had been through it. He was tired. I
don't know how you did it. He must have had

(06:47):
the help from God, because I n't. Yeah, that was
just one of the videos. People were kayaking. People were
a lot of folks, you know, were you know, kind of.
I don't know how you can enjoy a flood, but people,
some people were figuring out a way. Le'm gonna tell

(07:07):
you that Lulu, that one right there, I ain't never
seen nothing like it, never never want to see it again,
because I don't know how much. If Lulu realized how much,
you know, he had us in our feelings, I was like, Lord,
please help Lou, Lulu, please help Lou. And then when
I saw the end of the video and he was okay,

(07:27):
I was like, well, thank god. I just I.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
Ain't no amount of money worth it.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
To me, but hey, Lulu might have needed the money.
And the good news is Lulu is still okay. But
he went through it. Lulu almost drowned. Don't y'all be
doing that. You got to talk to these kids and
evidently the grown ones too, so they don't do stuff

(07:54):
like that. Don't do that. Don't put your life in
dangel like that. Don't do it. I'm trying to help
you out. I'm trying to tell you, do not do it.
I'm going to get to my big story for today.
I wasn't gonna well, I didn't know if I was
going to talk about this story or not. But I
want to talk to you about it because I'm sure

(08:14):
many of you will have some opinions about it, because
it is it is, It has garnered national attention, and
my heart is aching for both families. Someone to talk
to you about that in a second. But I just
wanted to tell y'all, I know the whole tariff situation
has you know, people in their feelings or afraid and

(08:37):
all that know this. I don't know if you saw
Mark Cuban made a post on social media, and you know,
I'm glad he did, and I wanted to share it
with you guys, because you know, there are people, unfortunately,
there are people out there that will take advantage of

(08:59):
all the ten news and they will raise their price.
Price gouging is what they call it. They will raise
their prices because they think we don't know any better,
you know what I'm saying. Mark Cuban posted this over
the weekend. He said, it's not a bad idea to

(09:21):
go to your local store or big box retailer and
buy lots of consumables. Now, what is there from toothpaste
to soap, anything you can find storage space for buy

(09:41):
before they have to replenish inventory. Even if it's made
in the USA. It's what he said, they will jack
up the price and blame it on tariffs. Mark Cuban,
the billionaire that we told us, And I'm like, you

(10:01):
know what, thank you, sir. Let me give me some
small toothpaste and moll soap. You know, there are a
few things that some of us don't ever some of y'all,
some of y'all got in y'all in y'all in your garages,
and y'all got a whole room of stuff y'all got.
Not only do you have uh, your your your paper
towels and your tissue and your tooth paste and all

(10:24):
that stuff soap, but y'all got canned goods uh huh uhh.
Y'all got extra clothes just in case, uh huh. Y'all
got all y'all got all kind of stuff. Y'all preparing.
Y'all been preparing for a rainy day. It's the rest
of us that's got to catch up with y'all. You

(10:46):
know what I'm saying. I got a bunch of tissues.
I think I'm bill rappaw tishue maybe paper towel I got.
I got a lot of soap, some you know, there's
some things I got a lot of, but some of y'all.
Some of y'all'm new to this. You true to it,
you've been doing it all. Right, last story before we
before I get to the phones, I see you, guys.

(11:07):
I'm coming to you. I know y'all are already calling.
I'm gonna get to you. That situation in Texas. If
you've been keeping up with it, and I don't know
if you have, but this story has social media and
the world right now picking sides unfortunately. Okay, so last

(11:33):
week Wednesday, at the UIL track meet, a young man
was killed. Okay, seventeen year old Carmelo Anthony, not the
basketball player, not his child, they're not related. Seventeen year

(11:55):
old Carmelo Anthony as he stabbed seventeen year old Austin
Nedcalf out of self defense. Now, the family has told
NBC News and other outlets that they have, you know,
basically forgiven. But but the brother said, you know, it

(12:22):
might it might take me a minute. I'm a dig
off into but this is this is what Austin Medcalf,
the young man that's no longer with us. This is
what his brother and mother had to say about this.
I'm not at that.

Speaker 7 (12:36):
Point to forgive, forget, forget but adventure. But I just
I pray for his family. Just I pray that they understand,
they understand what we're going through as well.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
This whole community has really wrapped their arms around us.

Speaker 8 (12:50):
And if I could say anything to the nation, I
would say, to make sure that you just hunt your
baby's time.

Speaker 9 (13:01):
It.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Yeah. So, so I'm gonna try to paraphrase what happened.
They're at a track meet and Carmelo and unfortunately this
is a black child and a white child. Okay, the
black child is the child that stabbed the white child. Okay,
that was Medcalf, that was his brother and his mother.

(13:29):
So Metcalf took it upon himself to try to remove
Carmelo Anthony from under. He sat up under their tent.
Both of them were at the track meet to run.
I guess, okay, Medcalf told Anthony to get away, basically

(13:55):
told him to get out from under, you know, the tent,
and Medcalf basically said he wasn't gonna move. And this
is what came out after. Because when I first saw
this story, I was like that, now that's just wrong.
Because the first, when I first read the story, the
story was he stabbed the boy and he ran off.

(14:15):
He ran up, stabbed the boy and ran off. That
wasn't true. Okay, he was there. Anthony told police, of course,
that he did stab the young man. He's been charged
with first three murders stemming from that deadly altercation. Now
this young man, seventeen years old, he's in jail. His
bond is seted a million dollars, his judge, and they're

(14:37):
trying to not his judge, but his attorney is trying to,
you know, ask the court to reduce that. And also
the family is raising money. Two hundred thousand dollars is
what they're trying to raise. They've already raised a last look,
few last hour it was one hundred and eighty one
thousand dollars. Because the backstory is, of course, the boys

(15:00):
were competing, but Metcalf had taken it on himself to
try to remove Anthony from up under the tent, and
Anthony told him to leave him alone. Well, you know,
he told him, he said, you didn't leave me alone. Now,

(15:23):
Well Metcalf, he said, I bet you won't, you know,
sock me or something like that. Well, he he went
back over and I guess he put his hands on
the kid. Okay, they're both kids the same age. He
put his hands on Carmelo Camello, took something out of
his bag and stabbed the kid in the chest and
then took off all right. So there was there was

(15:47):
an argument because at first it was reported that he
stabbed him, came out of nowhere, stabbed him, and left.
That was not the truth. There was an argument of
whatever up under the tent where the kid that was
stabbed and that died was telling the black kid what
to do and telling him to get out from under
the tent, and the kid was telling him basically, don't

(16:09):
put your hands on me. Well he did anyway, So
he stabs the kid, he leaves, takes off running, and
then he eventually is with I guess one of the
officers or whatever at the track need and he tells them,
you know, he said he did it. He said, I

(16:31):
did it. It's not alleged I did it, he said,
but it was self defense. So I wanted to put
that one out to you guys, if you in Texas
and you know about this story, because a lot of
people are torn. You know, the family is getting support,
but also the young black man who stabbed the young
man is getting a lot of support too, because from

(16:53):
what I'm understanding, the backstory is the black kid was
being bullied because it wasn't just him, it was his
brother as well, trying to remove him. But they said
this was this was like an ongoing bullying situation. And

(17:13):
Carmelo Anthony asked the kid. He told him, he said,
you know, basically leave me, you know kind of you know,
leave me alone. He didn't do it. He tried to
forcibly remove the kid. Kids tabs and takes off. What
do y'all think about this story? Should this kid be

(17:33):
charged with first degree murder? Because that's what he's charged with.
And like I said, a lot of people in Texas,
of course, I mean, this is Frisco, Texas. A lot
of people you know, of course are supporting the family.
But then you got people that are supporting Carmelo Anthony,
like I said, to the tune of one hundred and
eighty one thousand dollars is what his family has raised, okay,

(17:59):
and on the fun and basically where they're raising the money.
They said, the narrative being spread is false, unjust and harmful.
As a family of faith, we are deeply grateful for
all the support during this trying period. Your prayers and
assistance mean more to us now than ever. Their goal

(18:21):
is two hundred thousand. They've all almost raised all of that.
Like I said, first they were telling us he stabbed
and the men took off. But then there were people
that saw the situation that told him what happened. So
I'm asking you, guys, what you think about that? One

(18:43):
talk to me. Let's get to these phones, not on
what five three five nine three four two eight hundred
five zero three nine three four two eight three three
five three five nine three four to two wd A hello, Hey,
hey Freddy, how you doing.

Speaker 9 (18:59):
I'm going to five good?

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Good?

Speaker 5 (19:01):
How you doing?

Speaker 4 (19:02):
I'm doing pretty good?

Speaker 10 (19:04):
All right, then there's there's a good deal. Let's let's
talk about the drains. I guess uh you you want
to think the drains or got stopped up by themself?

Speaker 8 (19:17):
Now, well what do you think they gotta stopped rokuh?

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Well, they say leaves getting those drains. It's not just
yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
Because nobody, I ain't mean to cut you off.

Speaker 8 (19:28):
Nobody's non They need more like this Grandmama had them
bad and had two hundred.

Speaker 11 (19:32):
Something bad either.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Wait wait, wait, So you're saying that it's not the
city's fault. It's the people that don't bag their leaves, and.

Speaker 8 (19:40):
You blowing your touch off your grad work for public works,
and you going your touch when you get.

Speaker 10 (19:45):
Through going, you know, begging the long time. Well, grandmama
even come outside, she gonna sweep the little grass.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
So Granddaddy and left out there.

Speaker 8 (19:53):
Now we take it with our big old back, take.

Speaker 11 (19:55):
Blowing and just blow it in the drink.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
They're browing it. Listen, Freddy, they're blowing it in the
street and in other folks yards.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
But when Ryan wa ain't gonna.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Go getting them drains all right, then it ain't.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
It's it's up.

Speaker 10 (20:12):
It ain't done.

Speaker 8 (20:13):
I'm just telling you from experience, like you let you
let you have a drain in front of your house,
you let all the stuff stop for then you got
folks throwing stuff in the drank paper. It's not teachable,
beer bottles, cans, church and chicken boxes.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
You just got everything in the journey. So it's gonnaut
Man bag.

Speaker 10 (20:33):
It is no old float m right.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
So you're saying that's a community. We got to get
out there clean these dreams ourselves.

Speaker 10 (20:44):
No, no, just start getting you leaves up it and
brewing your grass, you.

Speaker 8 (20:48):
Know, and putting it in the bag and sends out
there for the god man to get You were already
paying them for it, you know, just sitting out there
for them to get it.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
Just a little thought.

Speaker 10 (20:57):
It ain't nothing to getting on everybody because I'm and
blow me a little grand in a draint.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
But what I'm saying, then they.

Speaker 8 (21:04):
That's the proph okay, okay, And then then okay, then
if we didn't do that, Lulu wouldn't have no water
to get in because it'd be draining probably right.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
But Whylu do that?

Speaker 6 (21:18):
But why it is?

Speaker 4 (21:19):
It is Lulu?

Speaker 8 (21:20):
Okay, because Lulu don't want don't pregnant. Lulu said this
is a little quick money for me. So that that
that Lulu didn't know. Lulu didn't know people like me.
That's fifty years old. We didn't went the dishes and
stuff with our friends. Four horns left bo listener, storm
four went three came back.

Speaker 5 (21:39):
You bet wan face. You know real dance you end
up in the nun Condor creek. Yes, but that's what
thats where it's all going to.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
Because the drainage that he was under, they said, part
of that was the Mississippi.

Speaker 8 (21:53):
Yeah, so you know you even the Mississippi going and yeah,
all others going from the non con of creek from
my drain to the non to whatever to one brothers
then go to the Minsi rod or the norn colored creek.
You know, you know they wouldn't have been given and
you you said five hundred dollars, they would have been having.

Speaker 5 (22:09):
To give it to his mama, you know, or to
whoever it is to try to do something with.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Them for doing it.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
You don't do that. I don't say nothing better putting
the pad now.

Speaker 10 (22:16):
But they came down anyway.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
Oh you know, you don't do that.

Speaker 8 (22:21):
You don't play with dames water. So you know, just ma'am.
So you know, we just be laugh a little.

Speaker 5 (22:28):
We want your time. You know you you came out
of that when unscathed.

Speaker 9 (22:34):
Yeah, hear me.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
So you know, just don't try that no more. But
that makes lost story shortstorm.

Speaker 8 (22:39):
It just be a lot of stuff in the drain
and leave and you know a lot of.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
People had the tendency the months they leaves up. So
when it drink, when it rains, and this stuff.

Speaker 8 (22:50):
Just going to drain.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Well, we're not doing a lot of bang like we
you do.

Speaker 8 (22:53):
We're doing a lot of musk. So you know, grind
that leaves us all.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
We got to do better, don't lord? Mer I got you?
Thank you, Freddy, y'all, man, you tell me that?

Speaker 5 (23:12):
All right?

Speaker 4 (23:13):
I will all right?

Speaker 12 (23:15):
Bye?

Speaker 13 (23:15):
Bye?

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Oh my goodness, w d I A hello? Hey there
it is. How are you?

Speaker 14 (23:26):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (23:28):
Are you a first time caller?

Speaker 11 (23:31):
First time?

Speaker 9 (23:32):
What?

Speaker 6 (23:32):
Wait a minute? Welcome?

Speaker 10 (23:36):
Okay, y'all.

Speaker 11 (23:39):
I have a lot to talk about, but it'll take
me forever to get it out there.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Okay, I don't have forever, but I got a little time.
So tell me something, doctor.

Speaker 10 (23:51):
I know, I know. I would listen to you. Was
talking about this. The young man got stabbed.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
In Frisco, Texas, right right right right.

Speaker 10 (24:03):
If him and his brother was bullying the young black man,
it was then he didn't want him around, so he retaliated.

Speaker 9 (24:12):
Really, but that ain't what.

Speaker 10 (24:16):
I really really called about. I would listen to you
talk about that. You brought it up. I hadn't heard
about that. I had, I haven't.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
It's my first time calling.

Speaker 14 (24:28):
Since nineteen seventy four.

Speaker 10 (24:33):
And when I did call my name right now, not
in important, let me say this. In nineteen seventy four
I called out. And I had been out the service
about two years. I got out of Sydney two and
I had a theme going me and some friends or

(24:58):
one was in Kansas City, one was in Little Rock
Warmers in New York, and one we had a thing
called EE eight Black Economic Association. And I was.

Speaker 14 (25:12):
Before we came up with that. Farm was in sixty
two when.

Speaker 10 (25:17):
Muhammad Ali refused to go to the army and he
had all the black atheletes supporting.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
Him, and Jim Brown said this.

Speaker 10 (25:26):
He said, until black people's get black economics, the black
race was.

Speaker 11 (25:30):
Never beating nothing. And that stuck with me because at the.

Speaker 10 (25:35):
Time he said that, I was twelve years old, and
that stuck with me, you know, through my military job,
corps and all that. And as I grew older that
I kept thinking about that and I was wondering what
did he mean by that? And then after the March

(25:57):
on Washington in sixty three, that was a part of that.
What Jim Brown said, black ecasonomous in in the in
the black rade.

Speaker 9 (26:08):
Yeah, and Uh.

Speaker 10 (26:11):
After I went overseas, I got a chance to meet
with a lot of brothers, and a lot of brothers
was basically Malcolm X. You know they was basically uh Malcolm.
I had this brother from New York give me the
audio biography America Macks and he told me to read that.
He said, you're not going to read it, get a

(26:31):
book back, kill me.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
And so I have to tell you that you're gonna
have to wrap it up real quick for me. Go ahead.
I hate to tell you that, okay.

Speaker 10 (26:40):
So uh uh I thought about that. With that, with
the b e A, uh, the Black and Cotonomous situation,
the b e A Black Economic Association starm right, black
people's are not going any well, we don't stand for nothing,

(27:03):
but we'll fall for anything. And I don't right now.
If you go back and look, you know the sixty
to seventy eighty to ninety ninety young blacks I hell
shooting and killing each other every day, and it hurts
me to see that going on.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
You got it.

Speaker 10 (27:22):
I'm sitting there five years old, and I've been there.
I have seen racism. Yeah, you know, I have seen it,
and I mean you know, I've been there and done
that I have seen it and just to see another
black take another black life. I just can't believe what's
going on in the black society today.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
I got you. Listen. I hate to cut you off,
but I'm gonna have to run, but I do. Thank
you for calling.

Speaker 10 (27:48):
Okay, Okay, I will call back.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
Okay, I'm looking forward to it. Thank you again. Okay, God, Okay,
all right, have a good day. First time caller up
in here. All right, come back, take your calls, read
your emails. Cat and Lady d unforgetful. Ryan, I got
you on the way. Don't move, pray off back on
this Monday, April the seventh. Hey, everybody, I am stormy

(28:12):
with you. Ten seventy day. Jaron Jackson. He's got a
message for us, y'all. He wants us to do something.

Speaker 6 (28:22):
What you want us to do?

Speaker 10 (28:23):
Jared Ay thirty Thursday, Timberwolf Game.

Speaker 9 (28:26):
We need to pack the house.

Speaker 10 (28:27):
We need to sell out, we need to determine, need
to be loud, so tune in, come out, get tickets,
bring everybody.

Speaker 9 (28:33):
No, let's go.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
Okay, all right, Jaron, you told us come out this Thursday.

Speaker 12 (28:39):
We're go.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Yeah, we gonna see what we can do. About that
mm hmm, or watch you know what I'm saying, I
will probably be watching. Yeah, that whole situation with Carmelo
Anthony in Texas. Like I said, it had me in
my feelings because, you know, at first hearing the story
and you know, the police department down there in Texas
there they're warning people about you know, false narratives, false

(29:02):
stories and all that. But witnesses that were there are
talking about, you know, what happened in that situation. It's
just a terrible situation. But the seventeen year old, his
family they've raised almost two hundred thousand dollars and I
suppose they're raising it not just for his defense but
also to get him out of jail because he is

(29:25):
in jail. Million dollar bond. Yeah, they don't have that
kind of money, but the family did say his father
claims that you know, he's a good kid, works two
jobs and has no temperamental issues. Now, Anthony, the young
black kid, he claimed that he acted in self defense

(29:48):
when he stabbed Medcalf as Metcalf pushed him first. The
accident was given you know, a racial color on social media,
and Anthony, of course his black Metcalf is white. And
his father Metcalf's father claimed that it's not a racial
or political incident, but he questioned the upbringing of Anthony.

(30:12):
A lot of people are debating about it, just wondering
what your thoughts are on that one, and who's responsible
for these drains around here? Let me go read your emails.
Clyde says somebody offered him five hundred dollars talking about
Lulu and that drain. He said, if you do it,
if he ever stayed out there, if he stayed out

(30:33):
there a little longer, he would have died. So you
know he was tied. Yeah, he was. Miss morel says
Stormy Lulu, I saw that foolishness. It's shameful. We don't
even have respect for the weather. We are just disrespectful.
This was nothing cool or fun about that. We need
to get a clue. Let's see who here. Miss Patrice says,

(30:57):
can you wish my bestie Valencia or the Jones and
her husband Maurice a happy twenty fourth anniversary from Patrice
on the track? Meet young man. Wow, my heart goes
out to both families. But no, Carmelo should be downrated,
if not dropped, because he was defending himself. But wow,

(31:19):
it's hard for both families, and my prayers go out
to both families, Rafael said about them drains, Hey, Stormy,
Freddie is right. People throw trash out of their car
at every intersection almost so the citizens are just as
much to blame. It would be nice if the city
would get these locked up troubled youth out here to

(31:42):
clean the city. But that's too much like right. As
Granny would say, mis kocius is being prepared. Hey Stormy,
hope you had a great weekend even though you were working.
This email is a little lengthy, lol. I have a cousin.
I promise you if you were ever in need of anything,
it's like going to Walmart when you visit her home.

(32:06):
So people go to her house the shop, is that
what they do. She has enough of everything in storage
for the whole community. I need to be like her.
If you stay ready, you won't have to get ready.
That's what they say. W D I A hello, Hello Stormy,
Hey cap how you doing all right?

Speaker 10 (32:28):
All right?

Speaker 5 (32:29):
Ope, you had a great weekend.

Speaker 8 (32:30):
As we say again, you know we're getting forward to
this weekend coming up. Still asking all the men go
get yourself checked out.

Speaker 14 (32:38):
That's what I'm doing.

Speaker 8 (32:39):
Hey, just go get yourself checked me as well as
still calling for path face jog anybody hurt from my past.

Speaker 10 (32:46):
And I wanted to shout out my sister, my big sister.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Bonnie Green Bonnie Turner from classes.

Speaker 9 (32:52):
Kick Date nineteen Kick Date book Kee w Washington High School.

Speaker 14 (32:55):
Her birthday was Friday.

Speaker 8 (32:56):
I was trying to get in so I could do
my doctor Martin Luther King Jr.

Speaker 15 (33:00):
And stay and.

Speaker 11 (33:00):
Wouldn't let me do it.

Speaker 9 (33:01):
Well any way, I said, I might not get that with.

Speaker 8 (33:03):
You, but we are the people shall see the promised man.
Now we've seen the promise land, which doing I think,
but we still want to be able to toe the
seventy w G I A the heart soul of members,
a good time good will station and the only place
to be the older is that it's a spermit case
show experience.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
And I'm telling you from.

Speaker 9 (33:26):
Memphis, Tennessee.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
Thank you, Starring.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
I'm gonna get off here for now, illout you later,
all right, thank you, captain, appreciate you captain talking that
tall gamy w d I A Hello, that was bad?

Speaker 14 (33:39):
What what he just said?

Speaker 10 (33:42):
He ain't say it right?

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Oh oh he got it, okay. Yeah, well, you know, practice,
practice makes perfect. That was his first time doing it.

Speaker 10 (33:51):
Yeah, man, two wrongs don't make it right. You know,
I just don't understand the young folks today because was
he in a situation where he was just all plans
around him? Cause I think you said it was someone

(34:14):
else in the mix, right.

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Yeah, there were other people. There were other people around them, yes, But.

Speaker 10 (34:21):
Was it here in the mix with other people, you know,
or was there one on one situation?

Speaker 4 (34:27):
Well it was I guess. I guess it was a
one on one. Uh, depends on you know, who tells
the story. I'm hearing that. Like I said that that
he the young kid that was killed, and his brother
were bullying this kid, and the kid did tell him.

(34:47):
Well yeah, well that's what I'm hearing, okay, But the
kid told this, you know, Metcalf basically leave me alone,
because he came at him once and he told him
leave him alone. Then he came at him again and
he tried to forcibly remove him, and that's when the
kid stabbed him. M hm.

Speaker 10 (35:06):
So he had to go get a knife to take
care of another person one on.

Speaker 4 (35:10):
One, I guess. So he had one in possession.

Speaker 10 (35:15):
Wasn't no second person or third person or anything like that.
Because I couldn't understand why you said you took o running.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
I don't know either. He took off running after it happened,
and maybe because the other brother was after him. I
don't know.

Speaker 10 (35:32):
Oh so.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Brother was there too.

Speaker 10 (35:38):
And he got a knife and he run mm hmm.

Speaker 12 (35:43):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (35:45):
We had to teach yut but like young you, how
to sef this answer?

Speaker 11 (35:50):
What's on it?

Speaker 10 (35:50):
I don't understand this. Why are you scared?

Speaker 8 (35:52):
Man?

Speaker 10 (35:56):
I've been in a situation like that.

Speaker 11 (35:58):
So him.

Speaker 10 (35:58):
I'm not going to talk about it now. But look,
I just don't understand. I'm telling you. Look, too long
is gonna make it right.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
You're absolutely right. I don't understand that either. I'm forgetful.
All right here, we're going all right. Thank you so
much for calling. In appreciate your calling, missus. Sweeney says,
if everyone keeps their drains clean, they won't have that issue. Okay,
mm Easier said than done. W D I A hello, Hello, Stormy,

(36:29):
t Hey lady. D you doing, I'm doing, dude, I'm doing.
G good lord.

Speaker 16 (36:38):
It's things is not as worse you know, could be worse.
Even though we had some bad days, we have some
good days. It's stormy. Uh you know, I talked. I
don't lack posting on social media, but I sent those
pictures to a couple of my big friends. They might

(36:59):

cross my neighbor's home.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Oh ooh, throwing me?

Speaker 16 (37:18):
Oh my god, was everybody that that wasn't in the
car that was tapping it out? Trendy told you right
and stawing it just like right now. If you throwing

Speaker 16 (38:11):

Speaker 4 (38:14):

Speaker 16 (38:18):

gonna even tell you the quarter because I said to myself,
now she out to be shining for herself here you'll see.
Or whoever live in that house.

Speaker 8 (38:32):
I stole it.

Speaker 14 (38:33):
They was taking this Greece.

Speaker 16 (38:36):
Got it in the drain. I'm like baby, y'all over,
don't yes, story greed. They put everything in the drain.
And believe it or not, yet the grease, if you
got a lot.

Speaker 14 (38:51):
Of it, put it in a bag.

Speaker 16 (38:53):
Tell your garbage man run. You can put it in
the freeze, or just don't put it in your drag
because the off and unless everybody look in the mirror,
because they do take everybody. And that's your little child.
Got a potato chip, bab prim sister, tell them, babily,

(39:15):
don't throw it at the yard.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
Take it in the house.

Speaker 16 (39:18):
But mama standing right there. So that's what we're dealing with.
Stowing and nobody want to work. What's up Fred to
see if leaves this bad look that's worked. And believe
it or not, you got a little old bees' children,
and don't get mad at lady d because it's fireing
the every's family. They setting en up playing the game.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Whats that weight off?

Speaker 16 (39:42):
If you put that game down, cut that TV off
and get out the bag or some of them leave,
push that lawnmower. They won't do they won't do it.
That's why the little chill the child. It's specially the
ones in my family, and then they want you to
play them. I got one saw me just what he
I told him to come over my house and make

(40:03):

Speaker 5 (40:10):
Up?

Speaker 16 (40:10):
Am I gonna give him enough to buy him some jawings?
I said, boy, I don't have no jawings down. I said,
you know what, that's why y'all look fat self. And
I did call him in. I said, that's why y'all
look fat self right now. If I give you that
count of money, you don't even know to buy your
money by back what I told him on that storm.

Speaker 4 (40:35):
Let me ask you, because I see the pictures of
the tree, is it a house under that tree? Because
I see a house on the side and a car there.

Speaker 16 (40:44):
Amen, that's where the tree sail farm. Next is the
house up under that tree? Lady Wow?

Speaker 4 (40:54):
Okay, I'm looking at the picture right now.

Speaker 16 (40:57):
Where damastating.

Speaker 4 (41:01):
I believe it. Thank you, Thank you, Lady D for
calling in. I appreciate you calling. Okay, all right, have
a good one, you too, you too. Yeah, I'm looking
at this man. A lot of Yeah, it was a
lot of stuff going on around here, a lot of
damage out there. And I told y'all that. Let me see.
For Tennessee residents, the Tennessee Emergency Management Uh, they're reminding

(41:25):
residents across the state to contact the Crisis clean Up
Hotline to help with tarping and fallen trees. Yeah. Though
the service is free, team has said that it is
not guaranteed due to the need. I guess the need
is real high right about now. But y'all take this
number down if you need it. Six one five four

(41:46):
eight eight one eight seven five. Let me give it
to you again. Six one five four eight eight one
eight seven five. All right, we're gonn We're gonna take
a break. I'm come back and read some more emails.
Animal catch in or check in with Michael, Dwayne, Norma. Ryan,

(42:07):
don't move Ryan, you you up out the break, baby,
I'm coming to you. Nine O one five three five,
nine three four two eight hundred five zero three nine
three four two eight three three five three five nine
three four two, or you can email me Stormy t
at mywd ia dot com or tap that iHeartRadio app
and we're back. Hey everybody, it is Monday, April the seventh,

(42:32):
and I hope that your Monday is going well. Hope
you that you are okay, and then everybody in your
family is okay. I had a lot of flooding around here,
and then that was Lulu out there in that walla lord,
a mercy, we'll talk Lulu into doing that. You know,

(42:53):
Lulu out there. He jumped in that drain, y'all. Thank
god he's all right. I would really love to talk
to Lulu. If y'all know Lulu, tell him call me.

(43:17):
I just won't see what was in his mind when
he was floating down that river, was in that water,
when he was floating down now about to go into
the Mississippi. What was on his mind. So many people
don't make, you know, make it in situations like this,
but he did. And I guess he was swimming. I

(43:40):
don't know what he was doing. Anyway. I am heartbroken
about the situation. With Carmette Mello Anthony, the young seventeen
year old in Texas, and I got this email. Let
me see him. Read this email from miss Hampton. She says, Hey, Stormy,
first shout out to Freddy for speak the truth. I

(44:02):
wonder if your listeners will have the same views and
sentiments for the black teenagers stabbing the white teenager in
Texas as the lady shooting pastor Floyd. What is the difference?
I'm excuse me this, mister Hampton. Hmmm, that's a good question.
What is the difference. It's an interesting story, one that

(44:23):
people are going to be talking about for a minute,
especially people in that area, because they've been torn.

Speaker 9 (44:29):
You know.

Speaker 4 (44:29):
It's now become somewhat of a black white situation with
the black kid and the white kid being gone being
the one that is deceased. The arresting officer ordered the
seventeen year old to put his hands up, at which
time Carmello Anthony after the incident, after he ran off,
he allegedly shouting, He shouted, I was protecting myself. When

(44:54):
the officer referred to Anthony as the alleged suspect, he
seemingly admitted to the crime and respond by allegedly saying,
I'm not alleged I did it. He put his hands
on me. I told him not to. Police told, or
Anthony told the police officer at one point, also asking
the authorities if what happened could be considered self defense

(45:24):
uh okay. Witnesses they saw the confrontation between the two boys.
They said it began when Metcalf, the young white kid
who was no longer here, asked Anthony to move from
under the tent that had been set up for members
of his high school track team on that field on
that day. Anthony then allegedly told Medcalf touch me and

(45:47):
see what happens. Eyewitnesses claim that Medcalf touched Anthony, at
which time Anthony allegedly told him to punch him and
see what happens. And then medcalfine went to physical move Anthony,
which is when Anthony allegedly pulled out that knife out
of his bag, stabbed met captain in the chest, and

(46:07):
fled from that tent. According to the affidavit, Now, this
was a four point oh GPA student, Carmelo Anthony doing
well in school. His father said he had two jobs.
This is really a teachable moment, you know what I'm saying,

(46:28):
A teachable moment for both sides. You know what I'm saying,
Sometimes you got to leave people alone, leave him alone,
because you don't know what they'll do. But I do
know that the family is saying, we're hearing narratives that
are not true. And so far that family of the

(46:48):
black kid, they've raised one hundred and eighty one thousand
dollars of the two hundred thousand that they're asking for.
It's not going to go This story's not go away
anytime soon. All right, let me get back to the
phones here and see what you guys are talking about today.
W d I A Hello.

Speaker 9 (47:08):
Who it is?

Speaker 4 (47:11):
Hello, it's me, Hey, this is Riot.

Speaker 12 (47:19):

Speaker 2 (47:20):

Speaker 2 (47:33):

Speaker 4 (47:35):

Speaker 8 (47:36):

Speaker 4 (47:36):
That are you doing? M y w d I A dot.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
Com m y So if storm over does capitals is right.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
You don't have to make it the capital. It's just
stormy t at okay, M y w d I a
dot com, which is my w D I a dot com?

Speaker 12 (47:59):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I know, you know, we old folks
were trying to write it just like it looks right.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
So are you are well? You get well? There it
is if it you know? So, I don't know what
you've been sending it to, but I hope it comes
to me. I would love to hear what you have
to say an email.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
Okay, okay, First of all, I like to dress. Mister Jackson.
I hear the flask light cop.

Speaker 10 (48:21):
He's not a real cop.

Speaker 14 (48:23):
What's the word on the street.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
He's a flask He's a flask light cop.

Speaker 5 (48:30):
Let me let me share.

Speaker 12 (48:31):
Someone, mister Jackson trying to try to check me on
female Jackson. I've been all over the world and I've
dated some of the most beautiful lady only you could
dream about.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
Okay, he's white. He is really black Moroccan Jackson. To
let you know, I know you're comfortable. Moroccans are black
women too. Okay, you know so when you try to
check me, man, you better know what you're talking about.
I like backup material, am I disclaim here?

Speaker 5 (49:03):
I don't care what.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
They look like like? Well, I really do, But you
got to have some backup.

Speaker 9 (49:08):
Material, okay, and saying that, let me address the situation
down in Texas.

Speaker 12 (49:14):
Yeah, remember when George Zimmerman shot Tray Bard and Martin.
Remember they immediately said that.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
Uh that I'd be nice. That guy was standing in
his ground, and.

Speaker 12 (49:29):
So these Carcadian Americans came to his defension. He raised
money overnight to get to bail. So if you could
find out where we could send money to, I would
like to contribute to this young man, uh defense one, because.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
It seemed like he was standing his ground. Okay, if
someone comes towards you and physically trying to harm you,
that is standing your ground.

Speaker 11 (49:53):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
I'd like to forget what's his name, I would like
to forget.

Speaker 12 (49:57):
Or unforgetful Yeah, whatever his name, Yeah, I would like
to forget. Yeah, that is called standing in your ground.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (50:06):
The kid had a right to defend hisself, all right,
and if that kid tried to attack him, he was
in the right to defend hisself. Maybe he felt like
that kid was gonna kill him, you know what I mean.
But anyway about Donald Trump, I mean Donald Trump. Okay,
they were saying that he's the best thing that ever

(50:27):
happened to America with his Maggot Party, the m.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
A G g O T not m E G A. However,
they they called the maggot. You know what the maggot is,
don't you know?

Speaker 4 (50:37):
You want to miss around you getting a little disgusting.

Speaker 10 (50:41):
You don't know what a maggot.

Speaker 4 (50:42):
I don't want to talk about it. I don't want
to talk about it.

Speaker 12 (50:46):
Okay, what they are called the maggot party.

Speaker 4 (50:51):
Lunch my dinal.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
Well, your touch, it may make it back.

Speaker 12 (50:58):
So they're not the Mega Party and Maggot party anyway, Donald.

Speaker 16 (51:02):
Trump, Well then you ride.

Speaker 11 (51:05):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (51:05):
I gotta I gotta run. I gotta run, mister Rynd.
But thank you so much.

Speaker 12 (51:08):
Okay, all right, okay, let me sound off, let me
tund off.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
Go ahead. I know that's right, Thank you, mister. All right,
bye bye, Yeah, I have to sign off. They turned
my stomach a little in my stommach o ye w
d I A hello, I'm good. How you doing time?

Speaker 10 (51:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (51:37):
I want the situation with the young man Anthony and
every young man who.

Speaker 10 (51:45):
Lost his life. It's tragic.

Speaker 5 (51:47):
Yeah, And don't inject race.

Speaker 10 (51:50):
Black people rarely inject race.

Speaker 9 (51:53):
And I'm not gonna.

Speaker 10 (51:55):
Kick on any calls ignorant people that call your station,
did you ask the same question about why this and
why that? Like the young caller just got the phone
said about George Immertant.

Speaker 8 (52:11):
You got Kyle Rittenhouse who picked up in Ar fifteen,
drove across state line because a weak prior, some black
kids beat him up. So he goes to a Black
Lives Matter rally whether he agrees or not, and he
kills somebody and shot one and killed another person.

Speaker 5 (52:31):
I mean, while all these questions asked, how come here
and learn how to fight?

Speaker 4 (52:34):
Just ignorant.

Speaker 10 (52:36):
It doesn't matter what the situation was. You always had
white people and unfortunate black people. This goes back to.

Speaker 8 (52:43):
The weakness of my people that I despise if something
had we do something to a white person. Well, Messa,
Charlie gonna be married at message, Charlie, don't give a
crap about you.

Speaker 9 (52:52):
He never will.

Speaker 11 (52:53):
Now.

Speaker 10 (52:54):
Cooney is the cottage industry. You see people on YouTube
doing They make good money.

Speaker 5 (52:58):
Doing it, and that's the that's their life.

Speaker 10 (53:00):
That's a business. That's fine. But that young man who
they're going to eventually try to pay them sell because
they looked to see if they could find anything in
his record.

Speaker 5 (53:10):
It's not there because he's a good student and you
said something to him. It leave people alone. It doesn't matter.

Speaker 11 (53:19):
That he shouldn't have done, you shouldn't want to forget,
he should learn how to fight.

Speaker 10 (53:22):
None of that means anything. If he had been left alone, none.

Speaker 5 (53:26):
Of that would have happened.

Speaker 10 (53:26):
Why they have a knife? Why they written the house
has an aosis team. I mean, see, we can do
it all day long because they always want to say
it's not racial. Yes it is, because if it wasn't racial.

Speaker 5 (53:38):
It wouldn't be on Fox News. Because you put it
on Fox News. They're talking about that young man now.
So just because black people don't say it's racial, don't
make it not racial.

Speaker 10 (53:48):
It's always gonna be that with one of their own,
because it doesn't matter how big a piece of crap
nothing the kid was. But even if he was the
sorriest thing walking earth, they would say, well, you have
to their favorite. Well, but uh, you understand. But so no,
you grieve for both families because there's no equal system there.

(54:10):
This kid is gonna face the full full of system
of the law. He's down in Texas.

Speaker 4 (54:15):
Yeah, and like I said, they got him for first
degree murder right now, that's the child not manslaugh.

Speaker 10 (54:22):
None that I can go no first degree murder right
because before we killed Greg Gabas a pardon a young
man that kills somebody black.

Speaker 5 (54:33):
After the jury tiund to get his that out. That's
enough of that. He needs to be let out. And
they did.

Speaker 10 (54:38):
Well, why people say nothing, so may keep your opinions
to yourself that you're gonna say because black folks always
want the prayer and at the ench, well, you know
God's in control. He was in control, and you made
the ignorant statement that you're made too.

Speaker 11 (54:53):
But press for everybody storming.

Speaker 9 (54:54):
You enjoy y afternoon's dutiful out here today.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
M what you said, thank you, appreciate you all right, Michael,
Michael owner today you had some things to say. W
D I A hello, Hello.

Speaker 5 (55:12):
Hello, Hello Stormy.

Speaker 10 (55:14):
Hey, hey hey, this is Dwayne Hunter. Dwayne. I presently
live in San Antonio, Texas, but I was born and
raised in fed.

Speaker 9 (55:25):
County, Tennessee.

Speaker 10 (55:26):
Okay, I'm a nineteen seventy five graduate of Fedward High School.
Oh wow, I'm a longtime listener, first.

Speaker 9 (55:36):
Time caller to your show.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
Wait a minute, hold up now Hold up. Now, you
say you were first time caller to my show.

Speaker 9 (55:45):
I'm a first time caller to your show, but not
the first time.

Speaker 4 (55:48):
Called the wd I A yeah. Yeah, Wow, you get
some claps because you first called it my show. I
ain't like the way I said clap All right, anyway,
go ahead.

Speaker 9 (56:00):
Say again again. I'm in San Antonio, Texas.

Speaker 5 (56:05):
Where what an event happened.

Speaker 9 (56:07):
Concerning uh, the.

Speaker 10 (56:09):
Young man Camelo Anthony and the Medcap twins.

Speaker 14 (56:14):
Yes, from the information.

Speaker 10 (56:16):
That we're hearing here, Number one, the stadium where the
event was held was a mutual stadium.

Speaker 14 (56:27):
Number two for those.

Speaker 4 (56:30):
Mutual stadium, basically, they could anybody could sit anywhere.

Speaker 9 (56:34):
Anybody could sit anywhere. Let me go on to the next.

Speaker 10 (56:38):
What they do is a wreck of pavilions kids for
kids to sit under while they are not competing in
a given event.

Speaker 4 (56:50):
Stay out of.

Speaker 9 (56:51):
The sun, that type of thing.

Speaker 4 (56:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (56:53):
From what I understand, the Medcap brothers did not want
the young kid Anthony under the tent for whatever reason.

Speaker 8 (57:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (57:04):
Now I can speculate why, but I'm not going to.
They approached young Anthony asked him to leave the pavilion.

Speaker 14 (57:14):
He refused to do so.

Speaker 10 (57:15):
Because he knew that they had no authority to.

Speaker 14 (57:18):
Make him leave.

Speaker 10 (57:20):
They took his backpack from him.

Speaker 5 (57:23):
At one point.

Speaker 10 (57:24):
They took his cell phone. They broke it and one
of them stumped.

Speaker 11 (57:29):
On it and pushed him.

Speaker 10 (57:32):
He asked them not to touch him again. The young
man that has expired decided that he was the boss,
so he was white house soon and he pushed the
young black man once more. No one knew that the
young man was prepared to protect himself.

Speaker 9 (57:52):
Why do he have a knife.

Speaker 10 (57:54):
He's in Frisco, Texas, and he knew where he was
going and he knew he would probably need protection. We
in Ruby read Texas. Okay, now we're.

Speaker 5 (58:07):
Gonna make it political?

Speaker 10 (58:08):
Are we gonna make it racial?

Speaker 9 (58:11):
M let's watch the media.

Speaker 10 (58:15):
Now we got a four point zero student student with
zero criminal uh, nothing, nothing to do with the criminal
system whatsoever. However, if you, if you would sign the
madcf brug Twins social media page, you'll see all the
assault weapons and the toys that his parents provided.

Speaker 9 (58:40):
Them to play with.

Speaker 4 (58:41):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (58:42):
So yeah, they thought they were in charge. They thought
they could make the young black man leave. But you
know what, f around and find out. M.

Speaker 4 (58:53):
Thank you you're welcome. Thank you Dwayne for calling, and
I appreciate you sharing that perspective. All right, all right,
oh sorry.

Speaker 6 (59:01):
Sorry, Dwayne.

Speaker 4 (59:02):
I mean you would sound like you're saying somebody. I
mean to hang up on your left to forgive me,
because you sound like you was saying something. I don't
know what you were saying it again, I'm so sorry. He right,
I'm looking at pictures right now. I went to social media,
and I'm looking at pictures of those twins with guns,
big ones, yeah, in their hands on social media. Yeah. Wow, Okay,

(59:33):
let me go back to these phones. See what y'all
talking about? W D I A hello, Hello.

Speaker 5 (59:39):
Hello Stormy, Hey missus.

Speaker 4 (59:41):
Norman, how you doing.

Speaker 5 (59:45):
I'm doing good. I thought my fall was gonna go
off on to you, but that's not what I'm a hard,
hard person, listen to, d I hold on. I'm like lady,
I can hold on.

Speaker 4 (59:58):
Thank you, I have. I just want to.

Speaker 5 (01:00:03):
Thank you for me, that's all.

Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
Yes, it was longing.

Speaker 10 (01:00:07):
Just just I've been.

Speaker 5 (01:00:10):
Braying everybody and all these drivy cities, but like all
of us, just just blessed because it's been bad on
his over in Lake City. Those times were like five
two three miles from where I lived, and we just
didn't blessed. Everybody just went around.

Speaker 4 (01:00:31):
Yeah that's good.

Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
But I was gonna ask you about the pickups for the.

Speaker 4 (01:00:38):
The uh sisters will be over there.

Speaker 5 (01:00:42):
Where we picked him up with.

Speaker 4 (01:00:44):
Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium Wednesday and Thursday three to seven
p m.

Speaker 5 (01:00:51):
That's what I had on this, but I didn't know what.
We're supposed to be.

Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
The same same place they were last week.

Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
Okay, should I ask uh? I want to ask one
question and this ball off of for everybody else they're
talking about what I'm trying to just get the same head.

Speaker 17 (01:01:11):
I've been trying to get y'all, no way, and I.

Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
Love his playing that when I come to thebes, that's right,
I was saying, as the man, and that's why I
come to see.

Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
I come to the reason.

Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
But I can come and see y'all.

Speaker 4 (01:01:24):
Yeah, most people that go to the Grizzlies games, that's
who they go to see.

Speaker 16 (01:01:29):
Uh huh.

Speaker 17 (01:01:30):
But you know, even with him being the super star,
he reads it all. I just wondered if he does
he wants to play for the Wizards and anymorrow, does
he even want to play NBA? He's been buying like
lots of money, and eventually, I guess.

Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
You want out of money.

Speaker 10 (01:01:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
You know, he's not gonna play for ever because they're
gonna worry.

Speaker 4 (01:01:54):
Well, as far as I know, he's money, I mean
m hm, as far as I know, he's only been
fine one time, and that was the seventy five thousand.
I don't know if there were other times, but he
and I know he probably makes more than seventy five
thousand in one game. Say that again.

Speaker 5 (01:02:11):
Yeah, you know the game, the games that he lost,
you know, the first had I think the kid games
twelve games or something. Well, they just spended him when
it's all the first about that game.

Speaker 4 (01:02:25):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 10 (01:02:29):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:02:29):
I don't know if he was fine then or not.
I'd have to go back and look at that. Maybe
he was, I don't. I don't know, but he showed
up at the games, and I thought they'd pay you. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I got you, Miss Norman. Thank you so much for
calling in. Yeah, yeah, you know, I was thinking about

(01:02:49):
that whole job situation. And again, thank you, miss Norman.
I was thinking about that situation. I was thinking, you
know what he getting picked on. That's what I think,
and I'm gonna tell you why, because they said Lebron
did the same, saying the same day the JAW got
fined seven five doven battles, So why didn't they find
Lebron James? I think you get big Don, that's me.
I don't know, y'all might think something, Mills m mmmmm.

(01:03:14):
A lot of people are saying this because they want
y'all out of Memphis, because they want him somewhere else
on a bigger team. Blah blah blah, child.

Speaker 8 (01:03:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:03:21):
Anyway, I got an email here I want to read,
and I'm coming back to talk to common man. I
got you out the gate. Let's see Big Khona, Frince, Charles,
Nurse Beverly. Y'all hold on. We'll be back in a
moment and we're back. Hey, everybody happy April the seventh.

(01:03:46):
I hope today is going good for you home.

Speaker 6 (01:03:49):
You're okay.

Speaker 4 (01:03:50):
For those needing shelter right now, the American Red Cross
opened multiple shelters throughout the mid South to help storm
victims who were displaced. The organization also has volunteers assisting
impacted areas and assisting with immediate needs. UH primarily sheltering
and feeding. They're in westminth it's there in Selmer, Tennessee,

(01:04:14):
Grand Junction, Tennessee, Parksville, Tennessee, and Union, Tennessee. Yeah, help's
on the way.

Speaker 10 (01:04:21):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (01:04:23):
Or help is here, however you want to say it.
That's what's happening, all right. I was looking at little man.
I'm still what was Lulu thinking about?

Speaker 6 (01:04:35):
What was he thinking?

Speaker 12 (01:04:38):
Is that?

Speaker 10 (01:04:38):
Didn't baby take your tag, get your breath, take a tag,
get it together? Baby?

Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
You dow you made it out m Lulu? What was
on your mind? Honey? Why'd you do it out there?
And that's nasty? Think water? Mm hmmmm. Hey, y'all remember
this commercial right here.

Speaker 9 (01:05:00):
People have a.

Speaker 15 (01:05:00):
Deep abiding respect with a natural beauty that was once
this country, and some people don't. People start pollution. People
can't stop it.

Speaker 9 (01:05:17):
Right.

Speaker 15 (01:05:18):
Pollution booklet Bucks seventeen seventy one.

Speaker 6 (01:05:21):
Anybody trying to.

Speaker 4 (01:05:21):
Get no pollution booklet. People just throwing stuff out the car,
like Freddy saying, and it said, we do not. We
ain't picking up no leaves no more. We ain't picking
them up, We ain't raking them up. I wonder if
the cell of rakes have gone down. Is it rakes
or you know those y'all know what I'm trying to
say to them? Yard yard rooms?

Speaker 6 (01:05:44):
What you call them things?

Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
Anyway, I wonder if the cell has gone down, because
back in the day, you couldn't go to nobody house
and they didn't have one of them. We was raking everything, yeah,
leaves and everything. It was usually on a set that morning.
Your parents would have you strong out. Yeah? Are those

(01:06:07):
days gone? Should we get these kids back to doing
stuff like.

Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
Get out there?

Speaker 4 (01:06:12):
That Indian was crime? That is I think our generation
we remember that, and so we think about it before
we pollute, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 10 (01:06:22):
But now.

Speaker 4 (01:06:25):
Ain't nobody doing nothing about that. Let me get back
to the story about this young man. First, let me
let me read this email here from mister George. It says,
good afternoon, Miss Stormy Tea. I'd like to start by
stating the obvious. There are no winners here. One child's
life was taken and the other child's life is ruined. Amen. Amen,

(01:06:47):
He says. At first, the student should not have had
a weapon on any school campus. But just looking at
the picture of the twins, the first thing that came
to my mind was privilege. Like those kids thought they
own the world. And like you said, you can't push everybody.

(01:07:08):
Sometimes you get what you're looking for. Here's the deal,
and I was looking it up the parents. The mother
said that he was in the other twins said that
metcalf the child that has expired, was doing the right thing.

Speaker 8 (01:07:26):
But was it.

Speaker 4 (01:07:29):
Because this is what I'm understanding what the caller, mister
du Wayne said. It's normal for students from different schools
to gather under another school's tent. Carmelo had his friends
were there. He wasn't trespassing or looking for trouble. The
claim that one of the twins had never seen Carmelo before,

(01:07:52):
they say, is a blatant lie. No student has the
right to remove another student from a school owned tent.
The school owns the tent, not the twins. Carmelo is
a track athlete, the twins are not. He wasn't even

(01:08:14):
expecting to see them there. That's the word. Mm let
me go back to the phone. See what you guys
are talking about. Let's see here. W D I A hello, Hey,
what's going on? How much coming?

Speaker 8 (01:08:32):
Man?

Speaker 4 (01:08:33):
How you feeling today?

Speaker 11 (01:08:35):
I'm feeling all right. I'm feeling fine, good. A lot
of people may disagree, may not like what I'm about
to say, But first of all, the boys definitely was
wrong for even saying anything to Carmelo. You know, you
don't have to You don't have the right or the
authority to tell anybody to be get up, move or whatever.
On the other hand, uh, sometime we try to defend

(01:08:58):
ourselves and we may not really understand what degree we
had a right to defend ourselves. How far can we go?
And so what I'm saying is, when do you have
the right to use deadly force? Do understand what a fan?

Speaker 9 (01:09:12):
That's the big question.

Speaker 11 (01:09:14):
But we talk and we respond out of the way
we feel or sometime maybe a little angry, or it
may be because he's a black kid, they were white
kids or whatever. But at the end of the day,
we have to look at what does the law say,
What grounds do we have to stand on in terms
of using debtney force. That's the question that has to
be answered, though nothing else matter, you know, So when

(01:09:35):
do you have the right to use daily force? If
you push me or hit me in my job, I
don't think that gives me the right to use deadly force.
So when we say defend You can defend yourself, but
at this particular time, do you have the right to
use daily force? That's the question?

Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
Wow? So let me can I say, do you mind
the kid? I think when the kid stabbed him, he
didn't realize where he was stabbing him. I don't think,
because when the police stopped him, he told them, he
asked them was he dead?

Speaker 8 (01:10:09):
Right?

Speaker 11 (01:10:10):
Right?

Speaker 9 (01:10:10):
Of course?

Speaker 11 (01:10:10):
And see that's that's see, that's what I'm saying. That's
what I'm trying to make it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:13):
So why so why would it be first degree murder
and not a manslaughter charge?

Speaker 10 (01:10:18):
Is?

Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
You know? Is what I'm thinking.

Speaker 11 (01:10:20):
I was listening to the things that you were reading
about what the witness was saying. When he was saying,
touch me, push me, I think they may have looked
at that like he had already made his mind up.
You touch me, you push me. I already know what
I'm gonna do to you. I'm saying, so kind of
like a premeditated thought. You know that. That's what I'm

(01:10:40):
thinking to myself, you know, And I could be wrong
about that, but that's what I'm believing. Uh. But also
I was about to ask you last week then I
say that the Samantha Mary and girl was going for
preliminary here and coming up in her next court visit.

Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
I think, so okay, mm hmmm. So I'm not sure
exactly when it was. I think I had it up
last week. But yeah, she she was back in court.

Speaker 11 (01:11:10):
And if I'm not mistaken, I think that date is
June second, I think. And so what I was about
to say is now, this is when we would get
a chance, and maybe not therely, but we would get
a chance to see what evidence the state has against her,
and all these evidences would be presented to the court
and the judge.

Speaker 9 (01:11:30):
Would make a decision whether to send.

Speaker 11 (01:11:32):
This case took the grand jury or not. And most
likely I believe that we will go. And if she's indicted,
she's got a lot of trouble coming.

Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
Wow.

Speaker 11 (01:11:40):
If the judge in that case to a grand jury
and she's indicted, she can put a big gear, drop
big girl shoes on. And you read you was right?

Speaker 4 (01:11:52):
Draw Uh, we'll learn a.

Speaker 11 (01:11:55):
Lot after this hearing right here, you know, So for
a joining lest get your into your head and get
your nose, get your nose right.

Speaker 4 (01:12:03):
Wow? All right, coming man, thank you? Yeah, all right,
have a good one. Okay, w d I a hello?

Speaker 5 (01:12:12):
Good even stole me?

Speaker 10 (01:12:13):
How you doing?

Speaker 6 (01:12:14):
I'm good?

Speaker 4 (01:12:15):
But god, who know? How are you? Well?

Speaker 10 (01:12:18):
I'm just trying to hold on. That's I'm in. I'm
in that moat for a while. Okay. When it comes
to the situation where the young man step and the
other young man, it's it's it could be some patients
prior to that. Also, you have to think in terms
of it's possible that they had a run in before. Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:12:43):
Well, they say that, they say, the twins this this,
this is a little bit more of let me tell you.
Let me say that. This is a little bit more
The twins didn't just ask him to leave. They try
to jump him.

Speaker 14 (01:12:54):
Well, he had to do what he had to do.

Speaker 11 (01:12:57):
You know.

Speaker 10 (01:12:58):
I don't condone for people to use nice or whatever,
but he was in fear of his life. They gonna
probably end up breaking it down. The man's laughter, it's
not gonna stick to that first to be murdered, you know,
I can't see that, you know, because even comes down
with the intentions of hurting that young man. Now, my

(01:13:20):
only other question is is that what did young man
normally do? Do he care a knife all the time,
or was there any prior threats?

Speaker 14 (01:13:30):
It can get a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:13:31):
Well, twins are known bullies.

Speaker 14 (01:13:36):
Well, well they initiated on themselves.

Speaker 9 (01:13:40):
Because you have.

Speaker 14 (01:13:41):
To think about this on me.

Speaker 10 (01:13:43):
Just like the man said if he if they had
never tried to pull it a young man, the whole
situation wouldn't happen. Now let me let me jump on
over to the maniac Donald Trump. Now you know the
talns al for one case going down. Remember when he

(01:14:05):
said he would get in office, he's gonna make prices
go down, but instead of that, he got the stock
market going down. And on social media they decided to
post a rumor that he had decided he was gonna
go ahead and temporarily.

Speaker 14 (01:14:23):
You know, not do it at this point in time
to terrace.

Speaker 9 (01:14:26):
And immediately the stock market shut up. But Elon Musk
and his mob and.

Speaker 14 (01:14:34):
Other people posted that was just a joke. What I'm
saying is to me.

Speaker 10 (01:14:39):
And then one more other thing I want to ask
you bout remember what I was telling you about the
two hundred people that they shipped off to wherever they
go down. Then wherever I told you that there was
gonna be some people, well we know of one they
didn't admit it that they don't wrong people. Shouldn't he

(01:15:00):
hold accountable every last person that was involved in that
situation should be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent
of the law. I don't care if it's the president,
the mayor, whoever initiated that should be.

Speaker 14 (01:15:14):
Brought up on charges.

Speaker 10 (01:15:15):
And when it comes to Donald Trump, all the people
were saying, yeah, I vote with Trump, and he gonna
do this. He's a businessman and every business done been
in he done erect it, just like he wrecked in
the United States and he brings us to our needs.
It makes no sense to me, Stormy, those people and

(01:15:38):
the place to.

Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
Be is with Stormy. T he experience ten seventy w
D I A thank you very much, write.

Speaker 4 (01:15:47):
Big gohoner way to sign off. W D I A hello.

Speaker 5 (01:15:52):
I like how they touch one the sizes off.

Speaker 4 (01:15:54):
I wrote, you know how to do it?

Speaker 5 (01:15:58):
Man, he really know how to put that mean?

Speaker 10 (01:16:04):
You know he does? Uh, Stormy, good afternoon to you
your college and to investments of He made a statement
about well, a common man made a statement about the uh.

Speaker 5 (01:16:13):
Hearing the post it is in June. I believe too.
I don't know about May, but I know I heard
on the.

Speaker 10 (01:16:20):
News and if they could change it at any different
times and moved this young lady uh to to June
and one was involved with pastor and clou Stormy. I
was listening to talk to Michael H earlier and he
was and I respect his taching how he feel about him,
and I understand that people get passionate about their race,

(01:16:40):
their culture, their beliefs. I follow.

Speaker 5 (01:16:43):
I try to follow the truth and what the truth
has to offer.

Speaker 18 (01:16:47):
But I have to go back on something that Michael
said that I don't know did he realized when he
talked about Kyle Rehnhouse. I don't think most people realize
Carl Rehnhouse I actually went there to protect, to praise
property and the people that were killed once more too,

(01:17:08):
and that were killed in this situation, which was certainly
he had one to court on him. What actually wife,
I don't believe people realize that the people that he
actually shot and killed were white people and injured another
white person. So I know a lot of people think, oh,
in black lives matter, so it had to be some
black people that was shot and killed. You know that

(01:17:31):
it was at the tea the case showed that the
people that he was in he shot and killed, and there's.

Speaker 5 (01:17:37):
People that he wanted for all life. Yeah, so I
think people should know that because for a long time
I was thinking that until I start doing the research
about what took place to the team. Now, for me,
you have the right to protect this.

Speaker 18 (01:17:53):
Him at any time well there, with any kind of weapon,
even if it comes down to a based on that,
and if you're just in carefully, see a lot of
people don't go through fire arm training. One thing we
learn when you go through firearm training, they teaching this
is easy to get into, but it's hard to get out.

Speaker 9 (01:18:12):
And if you do.

Speaker 18 (01:18:13):
Get into this situation, make sure that you're in your
right Now, this young man, I don't know all the details.

Speaker 5 (01:18:18):
I'm not in liberty.

Speaker 18 (01:18:19):
I'm not going to go into the details because everybody's
just speculating right now.

Speaker 14 (01:18:24):
But I know if I'm in a situation.

Speaker 10 (01:18:27):
I'm legal to carry a firearm. The last thing I'm
going to do is for me, and this is that
Prince Charles, I don't walk away. I don't walk away
to watching. You really have to push me to the
point beyond that.

Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
But this wasn't a shooting Prince Charles. This was a
stat I know, I.

Speaker 10 (01:18:44):
Know what it was I'm talking about and what I'm
saying for me to the find yourself with a night
of whatever weapon that you choose.

Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
But in many cases, in.

Speaker 10 (01:18:59):
And training, they teach you walk away, that's the best thing.
Let's let that person have the last word home many
because I have run into people who always with a
lot of talks a matter of fact, one of the colleges
radio station now.

Speaker 5 (01:19:11):
But the point is you just you, you have to watch.

Speaker 10 (01:19:14):
You just have to walk away and just let it
go because it's easy to for that to escalate, to
go to the next level. And then you're gonna find
yourself by needing an attorney, buy yourself in deal with
a mother side, and you may not even have the
money you get yourself out of bilt on your sud,
not have the money to get you on a belt.
So I say this to me, I'll leave you with this.

(01:19:36):
But if you're in some type of altercation, worry you
can walk away. That's a bigger purchase for me.

Speaker 18 (01:19:45):
Not the one to sit there and say, well, I
gotta I got a glock on the side, and you
know I got a drap on the side of it.

Speaker 5 (01:19:50):
I'm gonna take this full out. Well, actually, you've been
an idiot not dating your story as the person.

Speaker 10 (01:19:55):
Who says the one what he said the wrong things
put me, he said the wrong.

Speaker 14 (01:19:59):
Thing to, So I'm going to end it. Yeah, you
don't have to do that, but that's just my take
on the storm.

Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
That's always.

Speaker 18 (01:20:05):
I'm on you and everyone has a beautiful, bless safe
and healthy day. Have a glad to find it out
all for this weekend.

Speaker 11 (01:20:12):

Speaker 4 (01:20:13):
Yeah, a lot going on. Thank you, Prince Charles. Appreciate
you calling in.

Speaker 5 (01:20:17):
Okay, thank you, Like I said, you have a beautiful
blessed sament.

Speaker 4 (01:20:21):
All right, you too, thank you so much. Yeah, uh
w d I a hello.

Speaker 13 (01:20:27):
Hy good Monday evening, stormy tea.

Speaker 4 (01:20:32):
Why hey there, Nurse bever Lee.

Speaker 16 (01:20:37):
Came, Joe and you yodo while I'm cooking.

Speaker 9 (01:20:39):
Butdilla is always on Monday.

Speaker 4 (01:20:41):
That's right.

Speaker 13 (01:20:43):
Yeah, yeah, Look, I have a question in regard to
the incident involving the young men down and kicking. Yeah,
it's first agree that murder and premeditated murder.

Speaker 10 (01:20:59):
Of the same.

Speaker 4 (01:21:01):
Oh that's a good one. I am not sure.

Speaker 13 (01:21:04):
I always talke now I could be mistaken that first
degree murder and premeditated it's the same.

Speaker 5 (01:21:13):
And it's when you make.

Speaker 13 (01:21:15):
Plans to kill somebody, you know. Now that's I could
be mistaken, but that's what.

Speaker 5 (01:21:23):
I thought, that they are one and the.

Speaker 13 (01:21:27):
Same, and it's when you make plans. It's not in
a heat of passion, it's not in self defense, but
you you make plans to kill somebody. So I don't
know if somebody can correct me on that. And one
thing I would like to know were there any videos
taken of the incident, because the lawyer for the lady

(01:21:51):
who killed Pastor Floyd said her having those videos was
God's great for her and my understanding, and what I
read is that she goes back to court June fourth,
and the judge will decide if the case is.

Speaker 16 (01:22:12):
Going to court going to.

Speaker 10 (01:22:14):
Try mm hmmm.

Speaker 13 (01:22:17):
So you know, it's a possibility she may get off
of self defense because of that video.

Speaker 9 (01:22:27):
And I'm wondering, go ahead, I.

Speaker 4 (01:22:30):
Don't think she will, but Okay, I hear what you're saying.

Speaker 13 (01:22:33):
Yeah, I think that video is in you could be
in her favor. But also I wonder were there any
videos taken of the incident?

Speaker 4 (01:22:42):
In bobbing. You know, the young men, me too. I
wanted the thing.

Speaker 13 (01:22:49):
Yeah, and if they were known bullish, you know, but
you never know. You know, privilege carries a lot of weight,
but it don't make it right.

Speaker 16 (01:22:58):
So that's I take. You know, you push the.

Speaker 13 (01:23:01):
Time you got to do your throwback, and I appreciate
you taking a call.

Speaker 4 (01:23:05):
Thank you, Nurse Beverly. I appreciate you calling. All right,
I have a go all right, you two, you too.
It's gonna be interesting to see how this rolls out.
I'm still I don't think the it should be a
first degree murder charge. That's me, but hey, uh it's
it's yeah, they're they're probably gonna go back to court.
I know the attorney wants to change that charge. We'll

(01:23:28):
see what happens, and definitely try to keep you in
the note. It's gonna be one of those things that

he went there the murder and that's what he did.
