Alpha Sorority Incorporated. That's it was their pageant. That's who
I went over to hang out with. Had a dog
gone good time. I sure did. Met some beautiful people,

some beautiful women over there in West Memphis. Pallas, you're
looking for a woman, a good looking woman. When's the
last time you've been to West Memphis. Now, there are
celebrities that will tell you that some of the most
beautiful women they have ever seen are in Memphis, Tennessee.
And I am inclined to believe that they might be

adding West Memphis in with it, and they don't. Just
don't know some beautiful women over there. So if you're
looking for a woman, you y'all got to get out more.
Y'all not getting out enough to where you know the
women are. You know what I'm saying. You don't go like,
you know, like stalker like. You just go and attend
an event. You might you might see somebody that you like.
I told a lady the other day. She said she

was single, and I said, have women's the last time
you you've been to dinners in the men's section, I says,
men all over the place, and following all over the
in the men section. I kid you not. I went
in there and I said, Wow, there's a lot of
men in here. I wasn't looking at none of them
because I'm good, you know what I'm saying. I'm good.

But I told my sister the other day, I said, girl,
you better head over to the men's section. In some
of these stores, they're everywhere. They're shopping for clothes. Yes,
y'all see y'all thinking about y'all going to church. Y'all
are going to the clubs and some of y'all are

going to the strip clubs. Come on out of there,
come on out of there, Come on. Well, I mean, hey,
you do you, but there are the places that you
can go, is all I'm saying. As I see all,
I'm saying. Okay, that's all I'm saying. Have y'all seen
Ja Morant? So Jahn Morant? You know how he was
doing the you know, he's doing it a little bit different.

when I'm watching sports the team. I may not have
a team, but I go for the team that everybody
else is rooting against. You know what I'm saying. I'm
an underdog kind of girl. So a lot of people
feel right now. They just they loving John. A lot
of these sports players and so now, yeah, they're playing
basketball in high school, they're playing football, and they're doing

the job, throwing something out in the crowd, covering their ears. Yeah,
they shout out to the Grizzlies. They beat the Mavericks
like they stole some well not you know they well, yeah,
they beat them, beat them pretty good. I think it
was what twenty five points, So congratulations to them. They're
gonna go up against the Warriors. I think it's tomorrow
night in the play in because they hadn't made the playoffs.

Yet hopefully they will. Hopefully they beat the brakes off
of them Warriors and they go to the playoffs. So
we'll see what happens with that. So y'all, I know
y'all heard about it. Last night there was a shooting
at Tomley Park. A young person was killed at Tomley Park.

Memphis Mayor Paul Young he released a written statement to
the public after that team was shot and killed. It
was during the food Truck and Cultural Festival on yesterday,
so he says Sunday's Sunday's shooting at the Foodies Food
and Cultural Festival is heartbreaking, infuriating, and absolutely unacceptable. And

it marks the end of a week filled with far
too many acts of lawlessness and violence in our community,
from the mass shooting at a Memphis Allies meeting to
a child being shot while playing in their own front yard.
Enough is enough. This latest act of violence took place

(06:02):
at tom Lee Park, one of our city's crown jewels.
Our riverfront is meant to be a place of joy,
connection and community. The reckless violence carried out during a
community event shattered that purpose. My prayers are with the
victim and witnesses and the family is affected by this
senseless act. It's important to note that, without advising MPD,

event organizers elected not to have security in place for
Sunday's event. That's a no no. If you're going to
do an event in Memphis, I urge you, I employ you,
get some security. I don't care what it is. Have
somebody that can be security, because you never know. But anyway,

(06:49):
said the Memphis police officers. You know, they put them
in place outside of that event, so when something did happen,
they were able to respond pretty much immediately. But y'all,
enough is enough. I saw last night, you know, one
of the news atlets talking about there being a strong
police presence downtown, and it just I just shook my head.

I said, Oh my goodness, what in the world is
going on? Shook my head. Ain't y'all tired? Are you
tired of all the senseless killings that are happening in
our community? I'm I'm just curious how y'all feeling about it?

Are you okay? And while I think that Mayor Young
his message is powerful and all of that, I just
I don't know if these kids are gonna listen. And
it makes me wonder are we beyond Are they beyond

our reach? They can't be, not all of them. Come on, now,
it's got to be some salvageable you know what I'm saying,
Some that we can save, y'all. But I'm gonna tell you.
I saw a documentary and I don't know if y'all
saw it. Somebody sent it to me on social media
of a documentary that somebody's doing in Memphis, and I
was like, oh my god. And they did you know
some of those people that they talked to were seemingly

gang members, and they were like this, We're going to
the grave with this. And I was like, you gotta
be kidding me. You gotta be kidding me. We gotta
do something. Mayor Paul Jung said, he hey, hey, enough
is enough. We will win the war against violence in Memphis.

This is a promise. That's what he said. How y'all
feeling about it? You believe him?

How you feel about that? And he did talk about Xai.
I was glad he spoke with w R. E. G.
And he said something that I thought was interesting. We've
been talking about Xai a lot, and this is what
Mayor Young told them. Yeah, I've talked to the Xai
leadership team. There are thirty five, but they are only

fifteen that are on the other ones are stored on
the site. Now. He said that, you know, right now
the Xai, according to the Xai leadership, the turbines are
not being used and they're not connected. And basically, you know,
he had a meeting over the weekend justin Pearson had
a meeting over the weekend too, and Mary Jung said.

He added that, you know, the company they filed for
the permits in January because they weren't sure if the
substation construction would be complete before the one year is up.
So basically, he's saying, yep, they've got more turbines out there,
but they're not all operable. Okay, there's only fifteen of
them in use. Even though they have more out there,

there's only fifteen turbines in use. Okay, So you know
what at this point, Hey, I believe Mayor Paul Young.
He said there's fifteen out there and only fifteen in use.
I believe him. I believe him because what else do

The ex girlfriend of the former Southern University football player
Davis is speaking out after that shocking assault was caught
on camera. Y'all, I couldn't watch it. I couldn't watch it.

It's all over social media. I could not watch it.
Couldn't watch it. Gianna Monnet is the young lady in
that video that Quadarius Davis was fighting. He was strangling
this girl until she lost consciousness.

Davis is twenty two and he was arrested in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
on Saturday, charged with first degree battery and domestic abuse
and battery by strangulation. According to police reports, Davis was
seen on the video kicking her, kicking in her apartment door, entering,
and later strangling her until she passed. The girl passed out.

I thought she was dead. That's I couldn't. I couldn't
not just turned away from it. I thought the girl
was dead, but she wasn't. Anyway, She took to x
to update her followers after that terrifying of the incident.
She said, I'm okay, my downstairs neighbors they got it
on camera, and they did. That's how it's out there

because her neighbors got it on camera. Yeah, she says.
She called the police. She said, I will be pressing
charges and no, I am not going back. Well, you
can't go back if he's in jail. But I'm gonna
tell you something. Unfortunately, in so many cases, you know,
they say, it takes about what is it, It takes

about seven times before a woman and probably a man too,
will leave their abuser. You know what I'm saying. Now
she's telling us that. But and ain't no telling how
many times he's done this to her before, She says,

she went to the hospital and her vessels in her
neck are okay, just a couple of bruises, and my
neck is very, very very sore. I bet it is.
He choked. That's the definition of choking. I out he did.
It is heartbreaking to watch it. It was hard for
me to watch it, and I just I'm still just

kind of in shock that a young man that age
could do something like that. Is it just me?

badly can't get a walkway to walk through down there.
When you go down there, you beg him to clean up,
you beg him. He won't do it. He says, I'm
gonna do it, but he never does it. Y'all not

there no more. Now that's over. That thrill is gone.
It ain't even ain't there, and especially it gone come
back because you're looking at how you're living. You offered
him help you go down there and you see all
that mess because it's your house. And when it's your house, well,
I know renters have rights and you know people have rights.

So he's given her three hundred dollars. That is a
good question. So he's given her three hundred dollars a month.
Does she have a right to go in his room
in the first place? That's number one. But the biggest
thing is I mean, it is her house. Okay. She's

known him for quite some time, over twenty years, gave
him some rules when he moved in. She understands, you know,
you know that he likes his privacy and all that
good stuff. But she been begging him and clean that
room up. He won't do it. She goes down there
and cleans it up herself. It's her house. She goes

into his room, and mind you, she's keeping the money.
She's not spending it, she's actually saving it. So when
he does move, you know, he'll you know, have some
you know, some cash, little stash. So he comes home,
sees the room, he pitches a fit. So well, I

asked you to clean up, and you wouldn't do it.
So basically she's like, am I wrong? Am I wrong?

somebody else's house. At least you feel like you're renting space.
Do they have the authority to come in your room
