Speaker 1 (00:00):
That iHeartRadio app. Y'all are tapping that app and you know,
uh talking to me, and I'm trying to get to you.
Sometimes I miss one, and it's not because I do
it on purpose. And even your emails. Every now and
then I miss an email, it's not because because some
of y'all be emailing me at nighttime when I'm not
at work. And I'm not mad, because I reach your
(00:20):
emails when I get to them. Uh, nine on one,
five three, five, nine, three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two eight three three five
three five nine three four two. Those are the numbers
to get at me. Now. Okay, yesterday's verdicts in the
state trial are not what most people in Memphis wanted
(00:41):
or even expected. And I'm talking about amongst the races.
It's not just black people that thought that was insane
or some some in you know, like some in the
Souba Tomatoes. Yeah, somebody said that on this radio. And
but yeah, a lot of people were like, you got
(01:02):
to be kidding me. They couldn't believe it. My sister
messaged me this morning, Mary, the one in Texas. She
messaged me this morning and she was like, girl, I said, girl,
you late came down yesterday. She said, well, you know,
I didn't. You know she was working late yesterday so
she didn't get a chance to listen to the show.
(01:23):
But yeah, man, so a lot of people all over
the country are just shocked. They're as shocked as we are.
But we do know that all five of the officers
charged in connection with the beating death of Tyree Nichols
will likely soon began length, lengthy prison sentences. Okay, that
includes the men acquitted on Wednesday on autumn charges. All
(01:44):
five defendants are due in federal court in June next
month for sentencing. Yeah, so it ain't over and correct
me if I'm wrong. Somebody told me this last night.
They said, you know, the the main person who did
the main thing, he was the one that pleaded guilty.
(02:07):
And I don't remember. Ain't gonna lie. I couldn't. I'm
not going back to watch that video. I saw the
video when it happened years ago, in twenty twenty three.
I can't do it. I can't put myself through that
trauma again. I can't do it. But so I at
this point, I don't remember which one it was the
main one, but it was one of the guys who
(02:29):
pled guilty from what somebody told me. So if y'all
know different, And then somebody told me they said, you know,
they knew somebody that knew his family or knew him
rather said he was mean even as a little boy.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Eggs mean.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
So I was like, oh my goodness, So yeah, if
you there are signs. I believe there are signs when
a child is growing up that something ain't right, you
know what I'm saying. And I think a lot of parents,
not a lot. Let me say, some parents miss it
(03:10):
because I think the expectation for men is you know,
for some men when it comes to, you know, raising boys, y'all,
y'all have an expectation of them. And you'll say that
women baby their sons. And I know, y'all, a lot
of y'all are doing the right thing. You got amazing
young men and all that good stuff. But sometimes I
think men are chastised if they cry or young when
(03:34):
they're young, when they're boys, you're chastised for that, chastised
some men. I saw a man the other day on
social media talking about he was chastised because he was
a virgin, and I thought, hey, it was okay to
(03:54):
be a very I think most people think that it's
I see it as a bad of honor. You you know,
you made it nineteen twenty years and you shoe the
pressures of this world and you still shoe, you know
what I'm saying. But there are some people that look
at that like something's wrong with you. They don't see
(04:16):
it for what it is. They don't want to see
it for what it is. D DG. Who is Halle Bailey?
You'll know Halle. She was a little mermaid that didn't
the movie, you know, Little Mermaid. Maybe you know when
she got to be the little mermaid them white fans
had off fit. But her child's father, little Halo, such
(04:37):
a cute baby. By the way, her child's father is
DDG and they are not together right now, but he
has been, you know, telling the world that he celibate.
And I'm sure there's some people saying, I can help
you fix that, you know what I'm saying. Lenny Kravitz
(04:57):
to Lenny Crabbits said, he that's how you living. And
it's quite a few celebrities that are talking about, you know,
being celibate, and so it's a given because a lot
of women do that. You know, it's you know, a
lot of women do it. But but I think I
think there are some things that are shonded upon in
this in the in the way the culture is going
(05:19):
right now. That to me, it's like, let these folks live.
If you want to save yourself for your husband, let
them live. Let them do that. Nobody can live your
life for you. Nobody can live your life for you.
And I applaud you young women and young men that
didn't give it up until you know you were married,
(05:45):
or you waited a long time you decided, Hey, does
I gonna tell you something ain't nothing good in them streets?
He it ain't nothing good in them streets. And you
you know they I was listening to something that was
really clever. I can't remember it is now, But you
just got to be careful ladies who you open up
for fellas you do too. That's all I'm gonna say.
(06:12):
But I just don't I don't think it's you should
be shawned because you you know, because of those things.
But I think you know, men, you know, and I
just oh, man, y'all that locker room conversation and I'll
be having that barbershop cons. I'm sure that stuff is tough.
It's got to be tough to be a man, tougher
them being a woman. You know what I'm saying. I
(06:33):
think I don't think women are as critical of you
if you are trying to, you know, do the right things.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
You know.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
But hey, this new new generation that we got going
on right now, they're different. They're different. So gonna give
them all my best. But a lot of a lot
of people were upset yesterday and a lot of folks crying.
But just know it ain't over yet. Those five defendants,
they will be sentenced. I'll just keep your hats on, okay,
(07:07):
and keep your composure. Tyree Nichols family, they're still seeking
justice in that lawsuit, you guys, a civil lawsuit against
the city after those three former officers were found not
guilty on yesterday. The five officers, the City of Memphis,
and Police Chief CJ. Davis are being sued by the
Nichols family for five hundred and fifty million dollars. Dang
(07:32):
if they win that, I mean, not just in the
city of Memphis gonna be broke, but CJ. Davis gonna
be broke, and all of them everybody's gonna be broke, everybody.
City of Memphis Police Chief CJ. Davis and them officers
because they suing them all, their last one of them.
(07:55):
If they would, I wouldn't want to owe nobody five
hundred fifty million dollars. I wouldn't want to do it.
I wouldn't want to owe you ten million dollars. You
know what I'm saying. I would tell you. I mean,
if it was me and you was trying to sue me,
I'm by you. I hate to tell you, but you ain't.
And Jack, you better go talk to Bill Gates because
(08:18):
Bill Gates is giving away what is it, two hundred
billion dollars? You better talk to Bill Gates because I
ain't got it. I ain't got it. I don't know
where you're gonna get it from. I ain't got it. Okay,
somebody emailed me yesterday and I did want to read
the email if I can find it there she is, Yeah,
(08:40):
she says MS. Williams. How can you say that the
prosecutor did a I'm not gonna repeat that word today.
Yesterday I gave myself from grace some grace, and I'm
sure the FCC would probably give me some grace for
saying what I said yesterday. Y'all know what I said.
How could you say they did a p poor job.
They played video which shows everything and no words even
(09:04):
need to be said. It was just a sucky, dumb
jury that didn't give a care that a black man
was killed. I know people are saying vengeance is mine
for God, but it doesn't make anybody feel any better
at this time. I understand what you're saying, and I
(09:25):
didn't say that yesterday, and I have said that, and
I know Meridith took issue with me because I heard
her talking about it this morning, but I have said that.
I just feel like it's you better off leaving that
in God's hand. That's me. That's my opinion, and I
don't care how mad you get it me for saying it.
I say what I want to, You say what you
want to. I believe what I want to. You believe
(09:48):
what you want to. But I'm gonna tell you, I
just I believe God can do a much better job
at getting the vengeance than you can. Made me think
about the the father that that that killed the police officer,
and I believe the the police officer that he killed
wasn't even the one that killed his son. And he's
(10:12):
in jail. He seems to be real happy. But how
long is that gonna last? You know what I'm saying.
How long is that gonna last? I'm just saying. I'm
just saying. And I don't know if you guys saw this.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
Man.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Sometimes I see things and I'm just like, I laughed
a little bit and then and part of me was like,
get him. Did y'all see the stadium employee that punched
he was punching the Pittsburgh Pirates fan and he whipped
him with the belt. Did y'all see that dude spit
(10:50):
on him? Baby? He went after that man. I believe
a man spit on him again that this was a
young black man too, by the way, and it was
a white fan. That boy took off his belt. When
he took out that belt and start whopping that man.
Am I okay, you can got me wrong if you
(11:11):
want to, But I hollered. I ain't lying. I hollered.
I was like, what in the world. I think they
let him go. I think he was relieved from his job. Yeah,
but yeah, he took that belt off. Whoopedoo, he whooped
up me. It was almost like I was watching the
What was that, y'all remember what happened? Uh? It was
(11:34):
it down in New Orleans where they got the chair
and the dude swam across the lake and all of that.
Y'all know what I'm talking about. Y'all know what I'm
talking about. Let me get to the phone and see
what y'all are talking about today. And I see your
emails too, there coming in already. Let's go to these phones.
W d I A hello?
Speaker 5 (11:52):
Go all.
Speaker 6 (11:53):
The situation with the spinning man.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, they're both grown.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
M okay, the white one on the black one.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
Yeah, you accepted him like that?
Speaker 3 (12:05):
But a woman, did you like that?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
No? I would be really you spent on me, I'm
probably gonna be like him. He eventually he punched the
fan first, but then he took off his belt and
whooped the man.
Speaker 8 (12:18):
I'm gonna tell you, we accepted by ourself. Something like
that happened to me. I'm out for blood.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
The girl.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
I'm gonna give you a but what you won't forget.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
He got it. But what he got he literally that boy,
that young man literally spanked him with he took his
belt off. Unforgetful and spanked him.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
And you said you lost your job.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I believe he was. He's he's been disciplined, been disciplined
for that or suspended. He was suspended after being seen
using his belt to.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
Whip that fan.
Speaker 8 (12:50):
Suspended and he.
Speaker 9 (12:52):
Got I'm trying to tell you a bunch of craft
about We're up like a couple of days ago. Like
I ain't mean to go out, they go off, but
like these people be saying, you know, we need to
stop being so emotional, we need not believe in fighting
(13:13):
and all that kind of crap. And y'all just sit
down and sept all this stuff still not like this
storm the jewelry go out to the jewelry because.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
What they did was misconduct. This trial need to be
re examined.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
People.
Speaker 6 (13:28):
I've been on a jeury.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
I know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 8 (13:31):
I know all about this stuff because I'm educating in law.
I'm not a lawyer, but I'm educating nothing to know
what's going on.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
No, No, that's right, I'm forgetful. How hear you talking?
I do? I feel you too.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Check this out?
Speaker 8 (13:46):
Storms eight plus eight plus four he was seventeen, right,
I'm sorry, eight plus.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
Four equal seventeen.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Mum m, that's what that's what we're looking at.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
And y'all people accepting I know.
Speaker 8 (14:08):
A plus four equal twelve like them twelve jewelry.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
You can't go out to them.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
Hey, where is the.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Austin the jewelry at people?
Speaker 5 (14:16):
I've been on the jewry.
Speaker 7 (14:17):
We ain't talking about that. All this stuff in this conduct.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
So don't play me. And I'm playing the Simpsons when
you get it. I know what time it is.
Speaker 7 (14:30):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Answer.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
And by the way, I'm up in here.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
You need a jam no barkas every time I listen
to say that word up in here jamming, baby girl,
I'm out of here.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
All right, I forget thanks for jamming with me. I
should you appreciate you?
Speaker 2 (14:46):
I do?
Speaker 1 (14:46):
I do? W D I A hello number one?
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Number one, number one?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
What's up? Number one? Are you feeling on this uh?
On this beautiful uh thusday?
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Say?
Speaker 5 (15:00):
I like it?
Speaker 3 (15:00):
I like it like in the words of power, and
I like it a lot? All right, Hey, I need
to think it out on something that the guy what's
the same, unforgetful? How do miss conduct equals murder? Murder
equals misconduct? This man was murdered.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
What's the misconduct.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
There was a misconduct, But this.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Guy, no, she she, he was talking about the jury.
That's misconduct, the you know, on the jury's side, because
of what they did. That's what he was talking about.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
Okay, because I'm saying to myself, I don't, I don't
know for that. Okay, now that you explained it, you're
actual equation at the beginning. First of all, good afternoon
to you instore.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Me, thank you, good afternoon to you.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Say you a college a listener. There's only two things
that's open at chance midnight and what they say, Christ's delayed.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Mmmm, that's that's what they say.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
I don't, I don't know, Prinst's I do know.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
But but anyway, you know, uh saw me I was.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
I was calling because up today you did a stellar
job hosting the show. Support you did it. I gave
san uh telling stand this morning. You know, give you
so much accolades here to the good.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
Burden and everything.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
But but saw me, uh this too. I had something
wrote down that I wanted to say.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You made a mention.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Oh the young man, h you did the ephipment right.
Speaker 4 (16:22):
Now.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Let's let's let's.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Let's be honest with each other.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
I don't you now Meredith said yesterday, uh, and today
that revenged what in the Bible said, uh revenge his
mindsets a lord. But for me, sometimes the lord can
get into you to get your own revenge. Do you
believe that?
Speaker 5 (16:41):
I do not. You know some people won't.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
That's okay, but sometimes for me, you just have to
do what you have to do. When you've got people
like this, Uh, I don't think we would have in
partially because they would never be able to get this
sun back. I understand what yesterday. There's no more we
can do about it because they get a chance. But
I don't believe they gonna get that time front. Could
(17:06):
that half a billion dollars? I believe they get close
to it or somewhere too. But I don't think you're
gonna get on that money stories. I really do mean,
but that was just my take on I wanted to
call in and say that part of it. But like
I said, start yesterday, you have you have a port down.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
I think gon't even credit for you.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
You can't through like a chimp. You up there with me,
you was on the top ship.
Speaker 5 (17:28):
You just time.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
I'm not one of last thing for me. Now I
figured it out what we were talking about. They don't
worry from me again. What uh remember I figured it
out because my daughter doesn't. Oh yes, yes exactly.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
So you know my daughter.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
She said that every time I do something, but then
my car thirty okay, I'll watch it. Said can you document,
I'm gonna detail your whole car.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Don't worry about it.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Said are you out?
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Can you bring me this BacT?
Speaker 5 (18:02):
Sure, no problem.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
And at the end of everything, she said, Oh, so
I realized that's a substitute for saying thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, that's exactly what I mean.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
So tell us that a woman about oh say thank you,
just to let me say it. And I kind of
like that tooth for me as always, thank you for
allowing me to speak. I want to win everyone to
have a beautiful black, safe and health today.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Take care yourself, all right, Prince Charles, you as well.
Thank you so much for hollering at your girl. You
know what I'm saying. Number one, There you go, number one,
there you go. The Alabama river boat brawl. What I'm
talking about, you know, this whole situation with a young
(18:48):
man and when I'm trying to take that man pulled
out that belt. He pulled out a belt. The man
spit on me, pull out a belt, and that's kind
of what a remody of the Alabama River.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Yeah, w d I A hello, Well maybe Stormy? How
you doing today?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Hey doing?
Speaker 4 (19:14):
I'm good girl. Listen, I'm glad you hurded me this morning.
He says, yes, I was talking to you, so listen.
Prince John, first of all, I don't know what's going on.
I'm gonna thank you anyway, Okay, Star, I mean when
new black folks gets hired. It's been five hundred years,
we're saying, just sit there and it's the Lord, Helen.
What has the Lord done? And don't get me wrong,
I'm not gonna say don't nobody believe in Lord more
(19:35):
than me? Okay, y'all have y'all relationship of God. Noing
knows I have my relationship with God. Talk to them,
pray every single day. Could couldn't leave with dum. But
why do we think God wanted us sit back and
just pray and say, okay, Lord, we want you to
take care of it. Do y'all ask you things? The
Lord physically comes down to earth walk with sad and
take care of it, because no other race thinks said
(19:55):
with us? So when do When is it okay for
black people to black people to say, you know what, no,
you kill mine. I'm gonna hear your I just want
to win. Now, we just talked about the Alabama brawl.
What would black folks have said if all their white
folks beat the crap out that one black man and
we just standing around and watch it. It ain't our business.
(20:17):
I mean, I'm not saying what that mean?
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Okay with you?
Speaker 6 (20:19):
Or what was your thought?
Speaker 1 (20:21):
And you now you just heard me say how I
felt about that Alabama River broke Boat brawl. You know,
you just I think a lot of Yeah, I think
a lot of black people felt you know what we
might have been like. And I'm gonna tell you I
felt good about it. I felt you know, I felt good.
You know why I felt good because they were attacking.
(20:42):
It started with them attacking a black man and he
threw that hat up in the ab baby, and then
it was on. I felt good. I felt like that day,
you know, we got some licks back and I felt
so I felt real good about that. Now this young
man who who whipped the who whipped that guy to stay.
Speaker 10 (21:00):
I can't lie.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
I'm human. I felt good about it, but I can
still feel.
Speaker 4 (21:10):
Okay good because I want to bring that out. It's
but sometimes me I don't.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
And you know what, I do agree with you, Meredith.
I think that prayer is not always enough. I believe
that prayer is good, but I don't believe that prayer
is always enough. Sometimes you got to put that prayer
to work now when it comes to But when it
comes to killing, killing somebody, now, that's that's where I
(21:42):
draw the line. Now, you whoop them with a belt,
you you you tag them like them riverbo bral that's different.
But you when you, when it comes to you a life.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
That's why we have the death pends. Everybody don't deserve
to live. Now, I understand we're saying, well, that's the
government do it. Is it better if the government put
anew in your arm or put the letsitaire on your head?
I guess it's better when they do it. Well maybe so,
I don't.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
I don't like that either. If you if you you know,
addressing all of that to me, I don't like that either,
But I don't have no power to stop that.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
I do have the I'm so glad you don't. I'm
so glad you don't, girl, you hear me. But one
last thing, missus Tennessee, y'all listen here. The reason things
are going on in thissics like they is like these
copsans off. I just believe that they don't have respect.
Y'all know, y'all every were talking about everybody so big
on respect me and why respect were respect? I feel
(22:40):
like they do not respect Memphis nisbs have no respect
no more. The question is what are we gonna do
about it to get respect back to miss because what
went on with those police officers shows that they don't
give a crap about the people of Miftenancy and how
we feel.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
You know, now, Maddith, I totally agree with your own
that one. Honey, come on, well girl, but thank you so.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
Much to let me into that. You know, I love
you and.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
I'm okay, I pretty much god all man. But yeah,
we gotta get our respect back in neighble because they
must be. They looking at us like, I don't know
what we got to get that respect back, because that's
no way what happened. This should have happened anywhere y'all
think didn't take care?
Speaker 1 (23:22):
All right, Mary, thank you so much for calling in.
I appreciate you. Yeah, I love arguing with her. Listen,
I think, Okay, so a lot of people have given
Mayor Paul Young a hard time. But what if Mayor
Paul Young is doing just that?
Speaker 5 (23:40):
What if.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
He's trying to get the respect back from Memphis? What if?
Speaker 6 (23:46):
Now?
Speaker 1 (23:46):
I don't know, but I do. I feel like he's
trying to do some things and he's he may be
doing some things that we just don't know about. So
what if what Meredith talking about getting that respect back?
What if that is exactly what he's trying to do.
Speaker 11 (24:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
We're gonna talk about some old things on the way.
Y'all stick around, and we'll go to your emails and
all that good stuff. Your calls too. Let me see
who's on hold him. I see Lady d Eric WJ. Maurice,
and I see you young man. Y'all hang on, we're
gonna be back. You guys have been tapping that app,
so I want to go and get to the app,
and I definitely want to get to your emails. But
(24:33):
I just wonder how some of you feel about the
pope being from America. American Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost is
now the Vatican. Oh, now he's the pope. Yes, he's
going to be well, he might be already at the Vatican,
but at anyway, at any rate, Yeah, everybody was wondering.
(24:55):
I thought, I just thought, for show, when that smoke
was coming out of that out of the cis teen chapel,
I just thought there was gonna be it was gonna
be a black pope this time around. But brother, I
guess they just gotta wait. And it made me wonder too,
how many popes have existed during my time on this earth. Hmmm,
(25:18):
let me do some research, because it's been a bunch
of them. Sure has been a bunch of them.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Checking in with your app taps, because y'all been tapping
that app break one nine for.
Speaker 11 (25:30):
That smooth jocknet storm.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
You got thirteen on the radio here when you come
on back.
Speaker 11 (25:39):
Heah, I've been on your back during the day.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
You get be in the rocket jerk copy it all right?
Ten four there, ten four, good up, ten four. I
almost said it bad DJ, get myself together, Just I
just ten four ten four Ryan, Ryan, what's your handle
is it? Ryan, you gotta tell me what to handle
is because I gotta get that. I know, I'm smooth
(26:04):
chocolate stone. Yeah, let me go back to this app.
Speaker 5 (26:08):
Hey, Stormy, how you going.
Speaker 10 (26:10):
It's sad for all of us. I'm in Grind Rapids
Michigan and we just had a police officer quit it
for shooting a black guy unarmed in the back of
the head.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Yep, he gotta quit it today.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (26:23):
So yeah, it's been Uh, it's sad with us as
us brothers and sisters gotta go through. All right, have
a good day, Stormy.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
All right, I'm listening.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yeah, thank you so much. Appreciate you. That is awful.
So our prayers go out to you guys out there
as well. Mister l A. Harry, Hey there, he said, Stormy,
your show yesterday was excellent. You knocked it out the park. Stormy.
Remind people of Memphis about the story of Elton Hayes
(26:54):
similar to Tyree Nichols. Is that the story that let
me see, I'm looking at a story right now and
it doesn't have the young man's name, but this was
from let's see December tenth, nineteen seventy one. Mister Andrea
sent me this, and he said. It starts out with
three Shelby County Sheriff's officers, including a black lieutenant and
(27:15):
a Memphis patrolman, were charged with first degree murder and
the fatal beating of a black teenager two months ago.
And well that's an old story. Yeah, fifteen fatal Let
me see. The Shelby County Grand jury returned the indictments
in October fifteenth of nineteen seventy one in the fatal
(27:38):
beating of Elton Hayes seventeen years ago. Wow, let's go
to the phones here wda Hello, Hello, call of you there.
Speaker 7 (27:55):
Stormy, Hey, Hello, hello, stormyst This storm has come through
as one. But again, I just wanted to tell you that, hey,
how are you today? That one of the Hall of
Future Hall of Famous talk show hosts all like my
pobstacle as I go on, as I digress, I just
(28:17):
and I have to say that I know a lot
of that. That jury Memphis has the dad of going
getting our house people. Just like the director of the bus.
Why couldn't you not let another person step up and
be director because they lived in the city, they know
how to skin schematics and the economics of the city
go same thing as the police chief, but the jury
(28:41):
is outside the police chief that was not a jewey
akaa is perious court in the seventh Amendment. Okay, but
like you said, it's not over yet. And just like
that Trucker said, it's something that we have to deal with.
But if he's been acquitted, he too has Like you say,
prayer has not the only answer to certain things. You
have whatever you pray to a lie, however, you have
(29:04):
to steal, put in work, and pulled together. But the
problem is we can't get these why ns. And I
say why ends these young ninas so to speak, You
know what I mean? They just something together because they're
stuck on their own agenda of destroying their own community.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
That is a big problem.
Speaker 7 (29:22):
And it starts by single motherhood because the females cannot
cannot pick the right man. I just recognized. Yeah, I
just cannot blame because I just saw a black man,
this woman being this man for years and me beating
the head guy out of.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
Her and she still stay with you.
Speaker 7 (29:41):
I'm witnessing it. So it's just one of the avenues
of the narrative. And another thing, Uh, I don't care
who do who want if you're a police officer, would
be white or black, were black people, we'll parade if
a white police killd men, but we won't parade even
if a black people kill one of us of black
men or black women. So it's like wrongest wrong and
(30:04):
right is right no matter who you are. Okay, So
this is what I'm saying. And also I want to
give you reference. Uh look up when you when you're
not doing anything, look up the young hell do he'll
he'll tell he's telling you who the black pope is
supposed to be after John Francis that died. So I
just I just want to tell you this, and I
(30:25):
thank you for this experience on tm W ten sivey w.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
D I A that's for me.
Speaker 7 (30:31):
So have a nice day, love your all.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Thank you very much, Thank you, Eric, thank you very much. Okay,
all right, I saw somebody post on social media one
of the reasons those officers, you know, nothing happened is
because of qualified immunity. Qualified immunity is a legal doctrine
that shields government officials, including law enforcement, from civil liability
(30:59):
unless their actions violated clearly established law. Somebody said that's
why he got off, but I them actions. Clearly U
violated clearly established law. You're supposed to You're supposed to
kill nobody. That's against the law, you know, unless there's
(31:22):
a reason for it. You know what I'm saying. There
was Tyree Nichols. Wasn't any harm to five people? Come on, now,
come on now, make it makes sense.
Speaker 6 (31:34):
MS.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Coacher says, Hey, Stormy, how are you doing. I'm a
little calmer today.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
I am too.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
I'm calmer today. I thought about you, what you said
about those unrecognizable numbers and not answering them. I really
felt the iHeart called to tell me I won one
thousand dollars. Lol. No, if you play the contest and
you get a call from an you know, one of
those numbers after you play, you might want to answer
(32:01):
that it's called you. The second person that's told me
that they got they played the contest and then somebody
called them and it was an unknown number. You've been
answering that phone. Been answering that phone because that might
be it might be your money, your thousand dollars. You
know what I'm saying. W D I A Hello? How
(32:23):
you stowing the t Hey lady, g how you doing.
I'm doing all right. I'm in spite of.
Speaker 7 (32:33):
Like, uh, Prince Charles said, you.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
Did an excellent job yesterday.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
I just sit back.
Speaker 6 (32:41):
Literally, I'm I'm still kind of in shock, more submarried,
you know, if you're my Maria, but stole me. What
at that caller when tracked.
Speaker 3 (32:53):
That happened when my little needs life.
Speaker 7 (32:56):
Got too.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
That they the brother was like, they literally wanted to.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
Go shoot up the person house.
Speaker 6 (33:06):
I'm like, okay, if you shoot up they house, somebody in.
Speaker 7 (33:12):
There, get kill you.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
You know.
Speaker 6 (33:14):
It was even though the guys weren't trying to kill
my niece.
Speaker 12 (33:20):
And it as every day go by, I know she's gone,
but I'm like, she's not supposed to be gone, because
you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
And I was so angry storing me because it's different
when you got a loved one that you know sick ell,
but someone that just takes somebody away from you, as
lady PC just.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
Just take them away.
Speaker 12 (33:48):
You talking to them one.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
Minute, in the next minute, you getting a phone call
and I'm talking about her brothers. They literally was I'm like,
but what good is it gonna do. We're gonna put
fuel on the side instead. Of putting the fire out. Yeah,
(34:09):
marriage that sound good cause that's literally that that's how
young people think. You made want of out bleed. We
gonna make one of yours bleed if.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Some of this stuff, that's what's going on Stormy.
Speaker 6 (34:24):
But when I say you have to get it to God,
you have to because if you don't give it to him,
you just.
Speaker 12 (34:32):
Putting more out on the family.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
As I would say, because you I won't run my
names ain't never coming back, you understand. But if as
I say, would let them go because my mainly when
day that abriy, you just have to get out of
their way.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
But I'm glad I did not get out they way.
Speaker 6 (34:59):
Because somebody in the house brought it.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Two or three people would have been dead for me.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
That's how angry they was that the boy took they
sister away. Was he trying to kid her? Absolutely not.
So I never believed Okay, well it's a police officer.
It doesn't matter. You cannot go okay.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
We're gonna stop this because we not.
Speaker 6 (35:29):
We're not gonna stop it that way. The only thing
we're doing is basically going doing more harm. Instead of saying, hey,
Terry will never be back.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
This way. But I don't think the mother.
Speaker 6 (35:45):
I don't think she, even though she was got to
try out, I don't think she would want them to
get with our family say we're gonna have to show
this ourself. They let a police our What I'm getting
from her is, yeah, she heard her son will never
come back. But you know what, Lady Dan, if you
(36:10):
can have a conversation with her and say, hey, I tell.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
You what the conversation would be, Lady d. The conversation
with her right now, she's not saying anything. They didn't
say anything after that court. They were crying when the
verdict was announced yesterday, they were crying. They ain't saying nothing,
and they could be. Maybe they're not because you've heard
(36:35):
their old saying the pen is mightier than the sword.
The putting that pen on them, taking them to court.
They're getting it. They're gonna get them done. Maybe you
can oo. Somebody gonna be broke. And I hope it's
not the City of me. I hope it's not. Ben
Crump is known forgetting them doubles, you know.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
For it.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
He just got something from youth villagers just another day.
Am I right about it? Thank you? Lady d am
I right, you know, I'm right about it. And day next,
the city is next and and and I don't know
how we're gonna deal with it, but I'm gonna tell
you something. I just don't believe that, just because because
we've seen it happen before where officers got off, but
(37:25):
the city had to come off some money. I don't.
I hope we got some insurance, some sort of policy. Babe, okay,
w D I A hello.
Speaker 7 (37:35):
Hello, hey there, all right, it's WJ.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Hey, w J. How you doing?
Speaker 10 (37:41):
All right?
Speaker 1 (37:41):
I'm done.
Speaker 7 (37:41):
I'm gonna try to make it uh clear and fast.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (37:45):
I remember the lady called in talking about else and hayes,
I remember that.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
But you know, we have to cut the snake head off.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
What happened in Atlanta they tried to warn us about
I'm not talking about the lady because she's a woman,
could be a man that she ain't right, but she
came here Atlanta tried to warn us about her. She
had problems when she was there, see, but when we
brought her in here and then he got uh uh uh.
(38:14):
We got young and as a mayor, which is a token,
and he ain't nothing. He ain't no mare hurricane. He
ain't black inside, he's black outside. But he ain't gonna.
Speaker 6 (38:26):
Do you know.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
I'm gonna say this though, no what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Let me say this, please, I'll be through.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
Uh what I mean by that?
Speaker 3 (38:34):
He should never stand up beside that police chief and
not let her have a word on the team. She
had to go undercover and say something on something else.
She should have said when he talked with when he
spoke yesterday, she should have spoke that problem that we have.
When she came here and made that unit and five
boys that she got, she had the same mess in Atlanta.
Speaker 13 (38:56):
She came here and.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
Created that she created that would to get rid of her.
Mail Young and other people want to keep her.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
I don't know why they kept her.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
They should have had another woman that didn't have a
background like hers. All Man, and if we knew this
woman had a background, she's very quiet. She don't want
to talk in the public. Should have laid back and hiding.
We still need to run hallway here. She ain't gonna
get some more stuff's gonna happen under her watch. And
I'm telling the truth, And I'm not mad at bad
about that. I'm just telling the truth. We had to
(39:27):
start the snake's head. You don't cut the head off
the snake. We're gonna have no problem because woman is inside. Yes,
I'm telling you.
Speaker 4 (39:37):
That wanted to leave her.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
She should have been gone.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
And I'm gonna say this, and I hate to say
that said about it, but it's bad. That's the origin
of all of it.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Her.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
We did got rid of her to have somebody else
another woman, all man, and get rid of the raganization
she created. Those five guys they were doing that in
the rental and the people that Linda tried to warn.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
Us about her.
Speaker 14 (40:00):
We got.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
She still need Thank you so much, all right, w
j A thank you, Yeah, man, he's passionate about that.
Many of us are. I don't know if that is
the solution. Some gotta give. Gotta give hmhm mmmmm.
Speaker 5 (40:30):
W D I A hello, it's the main in the world.
Good morning. How you doing the world. How did you
know me?
Speaker 1 (40:45):
I felt you? I failed you. I got ESPN one
and two.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
Actually I do have e SD, but I don't believe
a lot of people street sentry perception.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
I do that I do have.
Speaker 5 (41:01):
But anyway, all my fans about my constituents that wanted, uh,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
It's always boring the yeah.
Speaker 15 (41:15):
But not here.
Speaker 2 (41:18):
Let me jump right in, come on in here.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
Yeah, you know, w what what's that? W C W
w J w J that that that was totally unfair
of you.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
That was not fair.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
Okay, God just say that the entire statement was unfair. Okay,
let me get to my uh subject. You know, you
know Gloriala. I know it that that threw your off.
But Gloryala she's coming where she's in Memphis. She's gonna
have a concert here, mm hmm. But you know, I
(41:56):
like one or two of her songs. Yeah, Glue, I
like that song, and I like one more. But I'm
wondering where is the talent today, because it doesn't take
much talent to go yeah glow Huban, will you don't.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Get off gloial I'll tell you that you can get off.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
I love Gloria.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
You're gonna get off.
Speaker 5 (42:26):
She's absolutely She's absolutely gorgeous. And when I was in Houston,
that's all they played was Gloriala. And I love her,
and I'm glad she's doing well. But it doesn't take
much to entertain anymore. I don't see the croomers. What
do you call them? When they what do you call them?
If I said right, croomers?
Speaker 1 (42:46):
Croomers?
Speaker 5 (42:49):
Yeah, you know, you don't see the groups. I'm not
trying to be old fashioned, but where are the boys
to men? Where are the temptations?
Speaker 1 (42:58):
There were groups still out there like that, but Jackson,
they're they're they're out there. But Jackson, here's what I
want to know. This woman hit me up yesterday and
she asked this and listened to her. Jackson was just describing,
I'm so sorry. This is a man, please forgive me justice.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
I don't know if he called then yet to be
or not, but I would like to know from Jackson
do he consider this justice?
Speaker 8 (43:30):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
Inquiring minds want to know.
Speaker 5 (43:35):
I'm not sure what he's talking about.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
You know, he's talking about the police officers. You know,
you know what that man talking about.
Speaker 5 (43:41):
I don't know anything he's talking about. But anyway, I'll
tell you this what my heart is. My heart is
extremely heavy, extremely heavy. Yeah, anyway, extremely extremely embarrassed. But anyway, Uh,
(44:06):
let me let me get to you. That question somebody
had about a husband and a woman. You know, a
husband will never leave a good wife. Never it's whatever
a man leaves or tits around, it's always the woman's
what of the woman's fault?
Speaker 1 (44:28):
You don't if you don't get yourself off my phone,
but it is.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
It is.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
If a if a man comes, if a husband comes
home and the wife has that that that dinner's smell
going on, don't mess with him for about an hour.
Let him relax, don't nag him at night, give him
what he needs at night or in the morning. He'll
(44:57):
never leave seven o'clock.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
That's my fingernails.
Speaker 5 (45:07):
I mean I could, I could go on and on
about you and you are and.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
You are, but you ain't. Bye Jackson.
Speaker 5 (45:15):
Hey, wait a minute. I'm not the most.
Speaker 11 (45:21):
Erudite mine, but I'm yeah, come on, come on, come on,
go ahead, shout chiu.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Beluh bye Jackson, oh child, I mean talking about Listen,
we're gonna come back and we're gonna talk some more,
and I'm gonna read your emails. I tried to get
him to answer the question.

We all got a favorite teacher, My favorite teacher, Miss Brown.
Rip Miss Brown. M m hmm, but yeah, she was
my favorite teacher. Yeah. And I know you got one too.
Everybody's got one. Everybody's got one. I'm sure little Elmo
had a favorite teacher too. It ain't gonna be Donald
(46:46):
Trump because Elmo posted on social media Elmo from Sesame Street. Unfortunately,
Elmo has recently been laid off because of federal budget cuts.
Elmo worked at Sesame Street for forty five years. Elmo
is sad. Elmo loved his time at Sesame Street. Elmo
is gonna miss his big friends, Big Bird, Cooking Monster, Ernie,

Bert Abbe, Grover count and so many more. They made
Elmos's day so much better. Elmore is looking for opportunities.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
Hello, Yeah, I had an ald head open. Wait a minute,
left it open for you?
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Got to clean it.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
This man is on he talked. I don't know what
he's doing, but dumb Hello.
Speaker 5 (48:24):
Hey man you better come on.
Speaker 3 (48:27):
Wait and I I was about to say, wait a minute,
I was getting to get detail.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Okay, yeah, we could tell my time.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
My time is limited. Jack corrected, Wait a minute, Denver,
come on, let the church say man again.
Speaker 5 (48:51):
He was absolutely correct.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
And I believe that gentlemen name was Eric. Eric Guy
am now.
Speaker 5 (48:57):
Officially a fan of yours.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
We cheer on the bafooner rig year in and year out,
and then we wonder why we reaped.
Speaker 5 (49:08):
The footage is that we cheered all year in, year.
Speaker 3 (49:12):
Out ei ei and and and I think there was
I'm not sure it was talking about uh thing.
Speaker 2 (49:23):
Goriller.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
I have no quolls with these young ladies, no whatsoever.
But when you portrayed a personality of a of a
character that's not beneficient to your people, yet we still
cheer in on in the name of well, I like
the music. How much do we really care about our people?
(49:49):
Because we perpetuate the cycle? We we we we we glory,
we glorified.
Speaker 5 (49:56):
I remember I was I was promanlyphic for for feel.
And I see on the.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
Highway a billboard of Yo Gotti. And on the other
side of the billboard it said Shelby County Lymphis, but
in Lymphis City and Shelby County to whatever you call.
And yet if you listen to what this young man
give to our youth, it's nothing beneficial.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
For years I've.
Speaker 3 (50:21):
Told people that, and yet we played down played music
and though, oh is just music. But the enemy, the
devil gets to you, gets to you throw three things,
your airgate, your eye gates, and your mouth gate. That's
how the enemy gets into you. And so we perpetuate
that cycle, went the tyregionical things, and I'll let you go.
(50:43):
When I was on a swat team in New Orleans,
we had a shooting officer, Nicolon Cotton. She actually got
killed in a lot of duty. I think it's two
thousand and eight, but right after Hurricane Katrina, she was
on the call. We would dispatch to support her. When
we pulled up, I'm working for the shirt deparmer. She
was the NPD officer. She comes running up the alley
(51:05):
between two houses, and so when we pull up, we
see her running. We all get out weapons draws. As
she clears our Larla site. There's two rabbit pit bulls
menory at her, deals trying to get at her, like
chasing him we shot the dogs. You know, we had
to stand tall in front of the man for shooting
(51:26):
those dogs and saving that officer's life then who later
lost it on the line of duty. But then we
had to stand tall and for these men to get
off on doing that to that young man.
Speaker 14 (51:38):
It's the sad day.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
And anyway, that's my time, Miss Thoman. I love you
so much. Thanks for taking my call and talk to
your suitors.
Speaker 1 (51:45):
Love you too, Den, but thank you so much for calling. Yeah, Okay,
he's been having nervous I like how he ended that.
Yeah he's upset too about those officers getting off like that. Yeah,
he's upset. But the park where he got me was
he was agreeing with Jackson. What in the world w
d I A hello?
Speaker 11 (52:07):
I just don't know how you doing.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Hey Michael, I'm doing good.
Speaker 4 (52:10):
How are you?
Speaker 6 (52:11):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (52:12):
No, no complaints?
Speaker 4 (52:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (52:16):
Uh. I would agree with Jackson to a certain point.
Speaker 6 (52:21):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (52:23):
And for those who wanted to be in good of
the plant A hundred ah she double hockey six froze
over again. I agree with what he did U with
us and police, not because I think really I think
she's adorable. But he's right about he's he was one
hundred percent rights about the perception of it. I mean,
(52:44):
I had a chance to meet She's a very nice
young lady, but the music, the perception her sexy red. No, man,
he's right.
Speaker 4 (52:53):
You know, people may not like one of well I
like it.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
That's fine.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
Two things can be true at once, but you can't
you can't year the results. I came around at the
time when hip hop went from yes, yes, y'all against
the raft. I remember when colors came down and I
saw the change the guy that I grew up with.
Because of the stuff that they listened to, I was
more public enemy. So I was extraining militant, so that
(53:19):
few that. But people who listen to other things white
ice teams, n w A. It affected them and it
fed them. So he's absolutely right on that. Anymore, as
far as what Jackson was saying about this, I was
I will altered with this. Good men do not leave
(53:40):
unless the woman is crossed. Now me and Leah of
a male will leave because he sees a younger child
the battle looking whatever. But good men do not leave
unless there is a problem with the woman that.
Speaker 6 (53:57):
They are with.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
That doesn't make that man perfect by any stretch of
the imagination.
Speaker 5 (54:02):
That's not what I'm saying, but.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
I was saying to gain A good man will not
leave unless they're his problem on that end. But if
the good man don't cheat, good man, don't beat you,
good man, don't carry at your name, none of that.
So if that man leaves you, okay, a question to
be answered for a why is he leaving? Well, he couldn't.
Speaker 6 (54:21):
He works, he ain't.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
Kicking your butt, he can't paria your name. He won't
ask you because then he don't ask you to anything.
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Why is he leaving?
Speaker 3 (54:31):
Sause that's the question that has to be asked. So, uh,
I don't work up for Jasp's girl could definitely go
left for stuff. So that's my point when he talked
about them leaving good man don't unless.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
Let me ask you a question. Do you mind me
if I ask you a question, I don't mean to
cut you off. Did you want to say something else?
Speaker 3 (54:53):
No?
Speaker 5 (54:53):
No?
Speaker 4 (54:54):
Go ahead?
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Okay? Who's your favorite actress?
Speaker 3 (55:01):
That's the problem with Angela Basket, Angela Bassett.
Speaker 1 (55:03):
Okay, that's a good one. Who's your favorite?
Speaker 5 (55:05):
Also?
Speaker 1 (55:06):
Oh yeah, I love me along, I think we all do.
Who's your favorite? Who do you have a favorite rapper?
Speaker 3 (55:15):
Probably alive or did?
Speaker 1 (55:19):
It doesn't matter, Okay.
Speaker 3 (55:22):
If I gotta go, Biggie, I'm sorry, I'm you know.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
I got what you're saying. Okay, Biggie, Biggie, Biggie, can't you.
Speaker 7 (55:31):
See Project can't doesn't get the credit that he Project?
Speaker 2 (55:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (55:35):
Yeah, man, okay not so so so so let me
ask you this, okay. And because I hear what you do,
what Denver said, I hear what you're saying, and and
I agree to something to well to. I probably agree
with most of what you're saying. But is a Project
pat his lyrics perfect?
Speaker 5 (55:55):
I could not.
Speaker 3 (55:57):
Talking smart to a tempt you to both the first room?
Speaker 1 (55:59):
I mean jay Z? What about jay Z? What about
Biggie's not? Okay?
Speaker 3 (56:06):
Okay, unless you started talking to that's the whole difference.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
And really yeah, and really, what I'm saying is I
get the whole lyrics thing. But I love me some
glow real okay, And I'm gonna tell you something. Let
me tell you something I don't. I don't listen to
her music like that. I don't listen to rap music
like that. You know what I listened to, babe? This
(56:35):
music we play over chill and that music I play
over the hou but.
Speaker 3 (56:39):
That but that, you know, but it's the whole thing.
But you can I love God, I love the female.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
For you can love somebody and not like what they do,
you know what I'm saying. What they do or they're
sometimes their persona, but you can still love them right
right of course.
Speaker 4 (56:58):
So that's all.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
That's all I wanted to say this, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (57:03):
Man.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
Yeah, you know what. I'm shocked. I was hoping to
get a little argument out of you and Denver and
I ain't got nothing. Huh, y'all agree with each other.
I hear you, I hear you. That's all I got.
All right, Michael, thank you for calling in. I appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (57:22):
All right.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
H E double L hockey stick?
Speaker 2 (57:26):
Was it?
Speaker 1 (57:26):
H hunkstick? It's about to freeze over baby w d
I A hello? Hey, Hey, I'm good Maurice. How you doing.
Speaker 2 (57:36):
I'm doing pretty good? Good Storm. I'm just uh in
the dog about uh this.
Speaker 11 (57:42):
Uh how the process of the location for jury selection,
I'm kind of lacking.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
The dog about that. How do they go about choosing.
Speaker 14 (57:51):
Where they're going to go and select the jewels from?
Speaker 11 (57:54):
Do they some people get in the back room and
they do some backroom talk or is it over and
they make decisions, you know, get everybody a chance to
decide where they're going to have.
Speaker 1 (58:04):
It at Maurice. That's a good question because I, I,
you know, I would like to know in this particular case,
how they came about that. I I'd like some accountability.
How did they come how did how did it come about?
Now I heard I read rather where Steve Moulroy said
that Hamilton County was the county the in Tennessee that
(58:25):
got the least Tyree Nichols coverage. I do not be
leave that act.
Speaker 11 (58:34):
I don't at all, that's right, Storm. I do not
agree with that at all. Why they want to go
up in the sticks and go get ain't being open
them or bring them back down over there? They didn't
know anything about the Memphis couture, what's going on around here?
Speaker 3 (58:48):
And see and David definitely was not a jury.
Speaker 5 (58:54):
Of his perios a Tyree nikkle Pier that was not
a jur of his periers.
Speaker 11 (58:58):
And and you think this is something I got to
go back to what stan Bell has started to talk about.
You think this is something Look, Donald Trump is going
He's going to give police complete immunity on whatever, their
complete immunity. So you think you said, look, you ain't
saying nothing. Yeah, it's more coming down the pipe with
(59:20):
Donald Trump, your police complete immunity. See these police, heal
these officers here, they.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
Didn't have complete immunity.
Speaker 3 (59:27):
They had to go to trial, this, that or what not.
Speaker 11 (59:29):
But when Donald Trump get his way, he said he
is going to give police complete immunity.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
They I believe, I.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
Believe right now they have what's called qualified immunity. Okay,
qualified immunity the United States. Qualified immunity is a legal
principle of federal law that grants government officials performing discretionary
functions immunity from lawsuits for damages unless certain things. Uh yeah,
(01:00:01):
there's they have a certain type of it. I believe
right now. But but hey, if he's if he does
what he said he's gonna do, it might be a brother.
Speaker 11 (01:00:13):
Just coming down the pick storm.
Speaker 5 (01:00:15):
And that's right.
Speaker 11 (01:00:16):
And see what I had the pleasure for one time
of meeting Tyree Nicholas mab when they had this big
unveiling of at that mirror where they have a guy
on side of this building down here, on Jackson.
Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
You know, the news are.
Speaker 5 (01:00:27):
Down and everything.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
And I had a chance to.
Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
Talk with her face to face and I told her,
I said, I said, I.
Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
Know her name is Msnook, but I told her.
Speaker 5 (01:00:36):
I said, I said, do you know your spirit be coming.
Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
Through the TV?
Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
And she looked at me.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
And she grabbed me and took me up on the
heel and took pictures with me.
Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
I said, I said, you know your spirit.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Be coming through the TV and that she and she
looked at me.
Speaker 4 (01:00:53):
Wow.
Speaker 11 (01:00:53):
I guess it must have touched her some kind of way.
But I just want to say this, that them boys,
them police officers, that.
Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
Be tyre ncause senselessly. I'm I'm called for.
Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
Look, this is what I wanted everybody here. Everybody know it.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Is that everybody ain't trying to go to help.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
So y'all be careful on who you hang with.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
I got thank you so much, appreciate you calling in.
I do, I do, thank you so very much. Let
me see where am I going next? Right here? W
D I A hello?
Speaker 7 (01:01:25):
Hey you're doing?
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
How you doing?
Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
I'm good coming man? How you doing?
Speaker 14 (01:01:30):
Everything's all right? Say this real quick. We're talking to Rep.
Talking about Rep with Michael and a couple other people
about us. You know, I think one of the best
songs I've heard that was Rep Style and just straight
up clean. You remember treat or right?
Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
I think that was Heavy D.
Speaker 7 (01:01:47):
It was heavy D or tuck D.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
I think it was that dude, Chuck D.
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Let me see tuck D.
Speaker 14 (01:01:56):
That dude was flat foot flowing mm hmmm mm hmm,
always clean.
Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
Man, mm hmm. But uh, go ahead ahead.
Speaker 14 (01:02:08):
But I was wanting to speak about about this. Uh
you you were talking about binges and revenge and stuff
like that, and uh, I.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Really feel I feel merited, you know, rock treat them,
treat them right? Okay, yeah, go ahead, I'm sorry, I
mean I cut you off. Go ahead.
Speaker 14 (01:02:31):
If somebody done one of my kids like that, it'll
be really.
Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
Really hard to accept that, you know.
Speaker 14 (01:02:36):
And I was thinking about, uh ms, well's it's got
to be like eating her up, you know, eating her
up emotionally to have to just even you know, that
just happened to her son and relive this thing over
and over again, and it's not going anywhere, not out
of her man, not out of all emotions.
Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
Are hard or nothing like that.
Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
So I really emphathized with her.
Speaker 14 (01:02:58):
But I thought I I heard Harry Over say something
the other day. He said, don't don't try to make
it right by doing something wrong. So you know, that's
something I'm going to remember.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
Because that that's the best way out. You know. I
wouldn't want to.
Speaker 14 (01:03:13):
Have to spend the rest of my life in jail.
But I promised you that'll be a hard kill to swallow.
And it'll take a lot of discipline for me not
to respond to somebody doing.
Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
My child like that, you know. So I definitely feel it, but.
Speaker 14 (01:03:24):
I want to I want to say this also, you
remember yesterday I think, uh it was a I forget
to God night. But anyway he said, if I think,
he said, if five people beat you up and killed you,
they wouldn't be able to figure out who done it,
which one of them killed you.
Speaker 10 (01:03:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:03:41):
Well that's the thing about it, Like I said, law,
the law wouldn't apply. It don't apply to everybody the same,
especially when it's on the police officers. You know why,
because if there were five people jumping on you, beating
you up, and killed you, they would arrest all five
of them, and all five of them would get the
same charge, just like it was with me and the
(01:04:02):
four people go in the robbing store and I shot
the clerk and killed him. Guess what, all five of
us getting the murder charge. They ain't talking about who
shot the gun, who.
Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Shot the bullet.
Speaker 14 (01:04:12):
All five of us gonna get their charge. So this
would bes you know, That's just all it is to it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
Cont got an email here, Hold on, I got an
email here. I want to read it to you. Let's
see here from August. Now, this is from mister Gaines.
He says, uh, young August, how you doing girl? He says,
common man is he said, common man is talking about
father mc.
Speaker 5 (01:04:40):
No.
Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Nah, it was to up somebody that treated right. He
was a big he was. Yeah, it was a big,
bright dude, big light skinned dude. I thought it was.
Speaker 14 (01:04:52):
Rob I mean the heavy d Yeah, that's it right there,
that dude flooring. But anyway, yep, all right now somebody
does get in I appreciation.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
All right, thank you, coming man, all right, by bye. Yeah,
let me read some of your emails since I read
that one, and I'm coming to get your calls. As
a matter of fact, I'm gonna do all of that
when I come back from the break, So y'all hang
on for me. Nurse Beverly, Captain Kirk read Miss Lily,
y'all hold on. We're gonna come back and talk some
more on the way. I'm gonna try to give you
a classic TV throwback today. Next hour, I'm gonna be
(01:05:26):
cutting up. I'm gonna give away two, not one, but
two pairs of tickets. Let me see, we're gonna leave
off qualified immunity. Mister pat's's Forest City Pat. He says, Hello, Stormy,
who are the laws meant for if you're black? That's
a good question right there. Who the law's meant for
if you're black? Hm, just wondering.
Speaker 13 (01:05:48):
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
Okay, mister Tony said, Denver is lying. That's what he says.
I won't believe nothing that comes out of his mouth. Okay,
mister Harrold says, Hay, Stormy. Just to follow up to
my recent email Elton Hayes. At the time, I was
a freshman at Memphis State majoring in law enforcement. After
police brutality or brutally beat Elton Hayes, the police were
(01:06:13):
hush hush about it. The black officer on the scene
claimed he didn't see anything. However, the Memphis coroner stated
that Elton Hayes died from block force trauma to the
head that broke the case wide open. Had it not
been for an honest corner, those police would have never
gone to trial. When the police were found not guilty,
(01:06:35):
I was terribly hurt. Wow, Clyde sys Stormy. My favorite
movie star is Halle Berry. My favorite rapper would be
too short. And I believe in support everything Jackson says.
He's a smart man. Oh whatever you say, whatever you
(01:06:56):
say to have a black pope would go a long
way to wards healing black people problems, black black people's
problems all over the world. But the popacy, uh, they
don't see black people as worthy of that kind of prominence. Interesting,
(01:07:16):
let's go to the phone. See what you what you
guys have to say about all of what I'm talking
about today. W D I A hello? Was a red?
Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
I'm good? You all right?
Speaker 5 (01:07:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Yeah, I'm good.
Speaker 5 (01:07:30):
Good, I'm good. I was kind of in bad shape
of last week, but I'm doing good now.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
Okay, Okay, I'm glad.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
Yeah right now.
Speaker 5 (01:07:41):
My son, my oldest son, that in Chattanooga. He went
there to play.
Speaker 11 (01:07:45):
Football for UT check there's a lot and there's not
a lot of black people there, but there's a lot
of people from Memphis that went the College of is there.
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
They know about that. We talk about that, uh, that.
Speaker 5 (01:07:57):
Tyree Nichols case.
Speaker 11 (01:07:59):
And I tell you one thing and he tells me
all the time. There are certain places you can't go
after dark in Chattanooga. Wow, it's not actually in Chattanooga,
but like in the suburbs of Chattanooga.
Speaker 5 (01:08:11):
He said, black people can't even.
Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
Be caught out there in the area.
Speaker 5 (01:08:14):
And that's a crime.
Speaker 11 (01:08:15):
Shame here it is twenty twenty five. Yes, And I
got one more thing I want to talk about that.
I want to get my top five of black people
that call this radio station would have voted along with
the white guys from Chattanooga. My number one is the
doughnut king himself that be at the donut shop before
(01:08:37):
it opened at five thirty every morning, Jackson, He's number one.
Speaker 5 (01:08:44):
Number two is my line Club, my lion cousin Clyde,
He'll be number two.
Speaker 11 (01:08:51):
In number three is that big slat machine big casino
or big old neighborhood slat machine guy He's number three.
And then number four is that black Confederate guy. And
if you notice all these guys, the all of these
guys brag about Donald Trump and they vote Republican and
(01:09:12):
all of that. All of these guys are just like
them guys that live in the hills out there in
East Tennessee. In number five is Little John. You know
who Little John is?
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
John? Little John, Oh John. Yeah, all those guys.
Speaker 11 (01:09:30):
If you notice, all of those guys are always saying
stuff against black people or or saying stuff that go
along with the Republican Party and with Donald Trump with
this mega thing, all of them sound the same thing.
Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
And the number one person with.
Speaker 11 (01:09:48):
All of this is I thought he was he was
a leader, but I found out he's a follower because
every time somebody says something about that sounds good about
Donald Trump, all of a sudden these people be come
his favorite people. You see what I'm saying. And that's
that guy out there that lived in a little town
that has a population of about three percent black people
(01:10:10):
that call this radio station every day. He lives out
there in Colorado, and he lived in a town with
a black population about three percent, and he called this
radio station which has supposed to be giving advice every
single day. But you run out there with all of
those white folks and you want to live like you
want to live like them, But you want to come
out here and try to give us the advice. Man,
(01:10:31):
you need to take this somewhere else because you know
what people really, people really don't.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Like what you be saying. And you get on this radio, Red.
Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
You ain't told me who you talking about?
Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
You know who I'm talking about? How many people call
this radio station from.
Speaker 11 (01:10:43):
College talking about He says his name, he called it Septemver.
But he live in a little small town with a
black population of three percent. When he called you tomorrow,
He'll let you know because I know people that know him.
Speaker 5 (01:10:59):
He do.
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
I live in Denver.
Speaker 11 (01:11:01):
You live in a little small town with a black
population of three percent. He's running from black people.
Speaker 1 (01:11:06):
So I got you, Red, I got your Red. You
you really own folks today, read you own one. You
all right? Calm down, Red checking people calling here with
all this, they ain't going no where, They're gonna keep going.
And you need to check your blood pressure.
Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
Now. Blood pressure is the best thing they got you
hot today?
Speaker 1 (01:11:25):
What day I want all them five do to you?
Speaker 5 (01:11:28):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:11:29):
No, I mean it's just, I just I just get
stick and tired of all these people that call in,
and those people.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Will be the same people that get on their stand.
Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
And say that all those police officers.
Speaker 1 (01:11:41):
I got you, Red, I got you Ill, You're welcome,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
Yeah, I got you.
Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
Oh man, Yeah, I gotta get it.
Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
Red.
Speaker 1 (01:11:52):
Red going off because he feels some type of way
about yesterday.
Speaker 6 (01:11:56):
W d I a hello, Hey?
Speaker 10 (01:12:05):
Then something better today?
Speaker 5 (01:12:07):
Me?
Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
I am much better. I went home, went straight to
bed last night.
Speaker 10 (01:12:11):
Yeah, it was a stressful time. But you were so
gracious and so considerate to open up the phone line
and be there for four whole hours, allowing us all
to prevent our frustrations because yesterday was a stressful, traumatic day.
Speaker 7 (01:12:30):
Was so we appreciate you so much.
Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
Thank you, Nurse Beverly. I appreciate you, guys.
Speaker 4 (01:12:36):
Yeah, and Stormy.
Speaker 10 (01:12:37):
I just watched, you know, they having a rally down
at the UH at the Lorraine Hotel downtown and uh
miss Wales and mister Welles and two of Tyree's sister smoke.
And I'll tell you, I admir their plass, mid their composure.
(01:13:03):
I just admiring how they are holding up. I just
don't know if I could do it. But I tell
you think the Good Lord has his hand on them.
Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
And you know what mister Whale said.
Speaker 10 (01:13:15):
He said that they were considering retiring and moving to
Chattanooga at one time. He said, but no way in
hell are we gonna do that. Yeah, I'm sorry, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:13:35):
What he says.
Speaker 10 (01:13:37):
But you know what I'm wondering about. Okay, a person
that's on trial is supposed to have a jury of
their peers. If that does not happen, can that be
considered attainted jury?
Speaker 3 (01:13:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
That's what I'm Forgetful was talking about earlier.
Speaker 4 (01:14:01):
I'm just wondering.
Speaker 10 (01:14:03):
And what confuses me is how that jury got seated
in the first place.
Speaker 6 (01:14:11):
You got what you got?
Speaker 10 (01:14:14):
All white, all white people. How how was that acceptable
on both sides? I mean, I don't get it, A
really good question.
Speaker 4 (01:14:27):
I really don't get it.
Speaker 10 (01:14:28):
And I don't even know if they're in the recourse
do the does the family have any kind of recourse?
Like saying said this morning, they should have been found
gifty on something seven. Yeah, and after they weren't, it
looked like the judge could have stepped in and say,
oh hold up, hold on, hold on, now, I don't
(01:14:50):
think so.
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
I don't think the judge can step in after they've
done with I don't know, I really don't know. But
Nurse Barely, I tell you.
Speaker 10 (01:14:59):
One last I would love to hear from one of
those jurors.
Speaker 4 (01:15:03):
I would love to hear.
Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
I don't think you're gonna I don't think we're gonna
hear from any of them in no time soon, Nurse Beverly.

subject just a little bit today about Tyree Nichols, the
young man.
Speaker 4 (01:16:05):
I was talking about good good man, don't leave good women.
Speaker 16 (01:16:10):
You know, sometimes those ladies might be ready for those
guys to leave because they're probably boling.
Speaker 4 (01:16:16):
They don't want to do anything. I just want to
sit there and east and watch TV.
Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
I want you to cook for them.
Speaker 17 (01:16:21):
They might be ready for them to leave and be happy.
Speaker 16 (01:16:25):
And that way they can find me someone else. Indeed,
you know somebody that's exciting, want of gold places and
good things, so they can look at.

went to Jackson, Tennessee and got some jewels. And they're
(01:19:04):
gonna lie and say that it was not well or
heard in Chattanooga. By this case, they just telling them
lie because it went all the way from the north
down to the south, to the east to the west,
the whole story by Tyree's nickle being be and showed it.
So those jewors got paid to see and not see
(01:19:25):

When you find out something new every day.
Speaker 18 (01:20:44):
I thought the Switzerland name Melroyd, the the DA guy
Moulroy milro I thought the guy was cool. He acted
like he was a friend to the black community in Memphis.

asking them all them questions, what happened, he set this
whole thing up.

Nichols case.
Speaker 6 (01:21:15):
I mean, how you're gonna have a jury.

Yeah, I gotta let you go short it Mack, your time,
Your time is up. I gotta run, but call me tomorrow. Okay,
thank you so much for calling. I You know why
I find that interesting the whole the time. I mean,
the people in Chattanooga were the least people to hear
about this. Rovon Wells twenty twenty three. April of twenty
(01:21:48):
twenty three, Rovon Wells Tyree Nichols mama was on the
cover of Time magazine. She was all over nightly news
when she became a figure of national influence in the
face of her life's biggest tragedy, losing her son Tyree
(01:22:10):
Nichols after the beating by Memphis police officers. In January
twenty twenty three, she was on Time magazine and you
think them folks done it? In hear about it? Come on,
wda Hello?
Speaker 5 (01:22:28):
Okay, so that sounded like the French stones.
Speaker 1 (01:22:34):
All right, okay, now what else you got to say?
Black conservative? Talk to me? Wait, hold on, let me
get them and put y'all on hold, hang on, hang on,
hang on, all right, talk to me.
Speaker 19 (01:22:44):
All right, So we need to learn two lessons about
this whole outcome, and black folks never learned the lesson,
and we need to learn it this time.
Speaker 5 (01:22:53):
I'm gonna tell you what their listen is. First of all,
I watched just.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
A little bit of it, and I was listening to medical.
Speaker 19 (01:23:00):
Examiner giving her results from the examination, and she said
something that caught my She said something that caught my attention.
She said that there was no injury to the brain
caused by any beating or hitting. There was nothing there.
(01:23:23):
So the idea was they beat him to death, beat
him in the head and his face swollen. That was
the pretty much the the rumor going around. But if
you watch the trial, that medical exam said that was
not the case. And when she said that, I said
to my pritty little wife.
Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
This case is over. They don't have a case.
Speaker 19 (01:23:46):
There was not a shed of evidence on his brain.
The whole examination of his whole brain, she said. The
medical examiner said in the court that when she examined
its god, there was I mean his brain was perfect.
Speaker 4 (01:24:02):
No one.
Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
I got your black conservative and I hate to do it.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Nothing. Yeah, that's what lost the case. That's what lost
the case.
Speaker 1 (01:24:08):
I believe you. I believe you. Thank you for calling.
I appreciate you. Okay, all right,
