Speaker 1 (00:00):
And you know what, I hope your weekend is good too, fellas,
I hope you have a good one too. But don't
forget about the mother's okay in your life?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
All right?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
The age old question? What do you do on Mother's Day?
Do you give your woman a gift and your mama
a gift? Or is it just for your mama? And
are the children? Your children supposed to take care of

(00:31):
your woman, your wife, significant other, whatever you want to
call it. What are you planning to do for her? Now?
This is what I think.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I know.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Don't nobody care about what I think, But I think
on Mother's Day, if you dating a woman, you are
to shower her gifts. Jackson would probably say otherwise, Prince
Charles might too. I'm gonna tell you something. You need
to take care of the woman in your life. You

(01:04):
know what I'm saying, The women in your life, okay.
I think every day ough to be Mother's Day for
the women every day. I told you all you should
you just shower that woman, send the flowers to work
if you can make it rain flowers, do that. No,

(01:24):
don't do that. Don't do that then, because she gonna
have to carry all them flowers to the cob by herself.
Don't do that well unless you well, send us some
flowers to work and then send the rest of them
to the house. There you go, make it rain on them,
make it rain flowers. Then don't forget to get her
a nice purse, a burking No, you don't have burking budget. Okay,

(01:51):
Well let's see a Gucci No, no Gucci brother, okay,
all right, all right, hold on, hold on, Louis No,
no Louis budget. How about a coach No, no coach? Well,
make it fashionable whatever you do. Women, You know a

(02:12):
lot of women don't really care about the name brand
as much as they care about, you know, how fashionable
the purse is. Because baby, if I listen, listen, I
got some name brand few name brand purses. Well, yeah,
but I'm gonna tell you I got a lot of
fashionable fashionable is that the right way to say it? Purses?

(02:33):
And and they're coming out with me them fashionable ones.
You know the ones that that when you when people
see see you with them, they're like, ooh girl, when
you get that girl, what is girl? Like I had
the other day when I went to the Shelby County
Division of corrections. When I went to hang out with
them on Monday, I had my little blinged out radio purse.

(02:55):
Ha A post the picture m blinged out baby. Everybody, Oh,
I like that girl, you know, so make it fashionable.
But if you're gonna give her that, put some coins
up in there. And I don't mean no coins that
jiggle in your pocket. I mean put some dollars up
in there for mama. Take care of mother. Okay, make

(03:18):
sure that her day is special. And this is probably
a reminder for some of y'all to make sure you
take care of her today. Okay, it's Friday. I'm gonna
try to keep it light as light as a can.
I'm gonna share some stories with you. I'm gonna try
to keep it light as a can. You know what
I saw on social media the video of the brother
of the man who killed the officer that killed his son.

(03:45):
And I'm not sure if it was the officer that
killed if somebody did kill an officer. And he went
into that courtroom, he was walking that the man that
did it. He was not shame about it at all.
He's like, he seems to be really happy. But his
brother went to the courthouse because he wanted to see him.
And I saw that video of the brother out there
and he was in tears. I just won't see my brother.

(04:07):
My brother can't see me. Did y'all see that video?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Just who?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
And they was trying to calm him down. You know,
it really touched me when I saw a black sister saying,
you gotta calm down, you gotta calm down. And the
sisters was crying in the offices. You know, you could
tell they were, you know, touched too. They walked him
out of that court though. They walked him out of
there because it's like, no, your brother, I don't know why,
I don't know what was going on, but he just

(04:32):
wanted to, you know, get taken you know, eye contact
with his brother, and they, you know, they walked him
out of that I'm like, wow, I don't know what's
going on here, But y'all, I still I still don't
think that's the answer. I don't think it's the answer.
But he's done it. He did it, And I know

(04:53):
some people won't take violence into your own hand. You
want to do it, but don't tell him you don't
do it. Don't make a permanent decision off of a
temporary situation. And I know when you lost, when you
lose a loved one, that's that's that's permanent right there.
But is it absent from the body. M I heard

(05:18):
some of y'all finished it. I could hear you in
the spirit, I could hear you, yeah, man, So yeah,
I was heartbroken to see that brother crying. Tall man too,
he was towering over everybody. But Gloria Stevan somehow another
she's she's gotten into this whole Diddy situation and she's like,
I get in here. Why you put my name in there?

(05:41):
She's slamming the Diddy accuser who mentioned her in his
freak off in the lawsuit. So uh huh mm mmm
mm hmmm, not well, m M, that man is not well.
I have I don't even know that man. I'm sorry
to that man. I don't know him. That's what she said.
Diddy's legal team. Now this is interesting. Now this is interesting.

(06:06):
Now I know the pictures y'all see the pictures of
the people who draw the caricatures of UH. I don't
know if they're Yeah, they caricatures of UH. They've been
drawing them of Diddy. He got his face looking real slim,
and his hair is just gray. And one of the
reporters in the in the courtroom, she said, he just

(06:30):
be looking at everybody, just looking at everybody like he
wants you to break contact. He just is like a
stare down competition he has with everybody in the course,
they're looking around at everybody. Let me tell you something.
Diddy's legal team has done something that I'm shocked of.
Y'all tell me what y'all think about it, if you
want to. Diddy's legal team at knits that he was

(06:50):
violent toward Cassie. Yeah, but you know there's always a bud,
but says it was mute.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Wow, See I didn't see that one coming right there.
Said it was mutual. But what else are you going
to say? When your back is against the wall? Literally
for Diddy, his back is against the wall. And I
did hear that. With federal trials, the reason why there's
no cameras they because you can't you see, it's against

(07:29):
the law or something like that. You can't put them
in the courtrooms when it's a federal trial. So that's
why we won't see anything on TV. That's what I heard.
It's what hurt yesterday was a day for the Nichols family.
Just still sending some love and prayers up to them.
They marched a little bit downtown. Uh and and you
know Nurse Beverly and Ms Freida, Miss Freddy. I'm sorry,

(07:51):
Miss Freddy called in and mentioned I talked about that
a little bit on yesterday. Yeah, man, mm hmm, and
y'all could talk about I'm Michelle Obama. All you want
to Michelle Obama ain't studying it. You know what she's doing.
That's how rut that.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
She's doing.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Boots on the ground. She she ain't even studying it.
She just posted the video on her social media. She
ain't studying it. Sh she boots on the ground, baber.
She all about them boots on the grad. She's like,
I don't care what you say about me, young, talk
as long as you want to. I'm living my best life.
You go, girl, Since it is Mother's Day, I want

(08:48):
you to call in and shout out your mama's and
and help this sister out. You all ready cause it's Friday,
and you know what today is. Yeah, she had planned,
you know, the kind of plans I'm talking about them
kind of plans. But no, she said, I got to
put the brakes on it. She said, I don't know

(09:08):
when I'll be able to do it again because she
took off on Monday, you know what I'm saying. So
she's like, do I tell him or do I just
be the.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
Be the.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Be the demure for lack of a better word, demure
wife and do what he wants and plan it another time.
She says, it's gonna be a long time though, but
uh uh, hey, if this is what he wants, you know,
it's what we're gonna do. Hmm. Y'all help her out?

(09:47):
Should she tell him or just let it go? Let's
go to the phone and see what y'all talking about today.
Y'all know how to reach me right now on one
five three five nine three four two eight hundred and
five zero three nine three four two A three three
five three five nine three. You can tap that app
like ms Kosher did. This is the Stormy T experience.

(10:12):
Ahime is go shop. Yes, she came on up a
di Oh, you can email me Stormy T at my
w d i A dot com. All right, let's go
to the phone. See what y'all talking about today. W
d i A Hello, Hello, Hello, Hey, call of you there? Hello, Hello, Hey,

(10:36):
how are you?

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Oh Stormy.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
T Let me start out by saying it, miss Eric.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Let me start out by saying.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
Eric, happy Mother's Day to you, thank you, and happy
Mother's Day.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
To the good mothers.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
And let me say this, and I'm gonna tell the truth,
whether y'all like it or not, because I love you
as people.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
All mothers are not good mothers.

Speaker 6 (11:00):
All mothers have I said not, Some mothers have do
These two have be have abused their dad and they
have mental deformitists from their childhood, drinking, drinking when they're old,
just putting some on your mind, drinking drinking when they
started out young and having having you and the other siblings,
and she just beat.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
You out for no reason.

Speaker 6 (11:22):
Uh, she's it's just like that, like sometime your mom
can be your worst enemy.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Okay, Eric, wait a minute, Eric, are you okay? This
isn't something that's happened to you, is it?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
Of course?

Speaker 6 (11:33):
And this and that's happening to other people that I know.
And then when you get older, I'm not saying that's
not happy mothers.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
They to all the mothers that whether.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
They single and marriage and having they single the marriage
or having their business and doing their best. But all
mothers are not good mothers. Even if I hear somebody
say they hate their mother, I understand because she hated.
Sometimes mothers hate their children.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Wait a minute, so so let's let's talk about you
and your mother. If you don't mind, are y'all in
a better place now?

Speaker 6 (12:02):
Well, well, she used to see twenty years ago. She'll
have the Mother's day to her, but she expects the
world from me.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
But then you'll sit down.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
And put it.

Speaker 6 (12:10):
Even since I was a kid, you know, she'd put
me down, kick my butt when she get ready. When
I was cool as a kid and still say, of
your things, I still would do for it. She still
would do my sitting.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
The same way. The other guys have stories.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
So almother's not good mother's okay, But happy Mother's Day anyway.
I'm sorry mother. Sometimes mothers hate their sons. They hate
they just for no reason. And a lot of times
when I was growing up, I used to think, when
Mama tell you her side, But now as I grow
up and have wisdom and understanding, sometimes Mama, your dad
wanted to be her dad, but he had to leave

(12:43):
because the mother has mental psychological problems. She didn't want
to eradicate and things that, and they so it's not
always the man's faut.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
I used to always think it's the man's fault.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
But no, I get it, I get it. You you're right.
It's not always. Yeah, sometimes there's two sides to every story.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Exactly.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
Leave. Let me see about about that fullsome situation.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
And now he didn't have to run over at random
costs to get back at his son. Then we have
to look at what's the backstory of it because a
lot of this wife and I hate that for him,
and my heart goes out to his family, goes out
to the young man.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
But these these young men, these.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Better father and just because somebody have a father.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
And like, don't mean that they're they're a good father.
Look at job morn his father.

Speaker 6 (13:27):
Is uh, it's accolade, accolade, and they wonder or a
uh what you call it. I can't take the name
of affinity for foolishness and tuggishness.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
And he raised his.

Speaker 6 (13:38):
Son and he won't tell your job moran, Hey, stop
the foolishness.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
This and another because but how do you know that?

Speaker 1 (13:43):
How do you know that?

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Eric?

Speaker 6 (13:44):
Because they are much to be too well because I
got aysaneers everywhere, and you know, and not and not
do my resource. But as I'm as I'm saying, uh,
you know.

Speaker 7 (13:54):
So all fathers are my good father leader.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
But every day it's Mother's Day, and every.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Day it's Father's Day.

Speaker 6 (13:58):
And to you, good father's out there when Father's Day,
you know, bless you. But as I was singing and
also about uh huh, the answer.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
That that fortunate, my heart goes out.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
To that young man. I don't know what kind of
father he had, but he should I hope each other son.
You know, you shouldn't. You shouldn't have a gun in
your hand.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Neither why you're running from the police because the police
may not be able to pee, they're not taking enough
for the police.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
But the police ain't gonna turn to figure out what
You're gonna pull.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Them back and shoot at him. Because that has happened.

Speaker 6 (14:26):
And even when you have done something wrong, matter cars
to say. The card wasn't stolen, But what are you doing.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Running from the police and the gun in your hands.
So some stuff, I said, some stuff we bring on ourselves.
But I have went through some bad situations.

Speaker 6 (14:37):
I never didn't see wrong with the police too, And
my heart goes out to the Tyree Nichols. Okay, and
about this black woman, and what's up, lady Pete, you
got you?

Speaker 1 (14:46):
You got a lot. I gotta run. It's other people waiting, Okay.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
Okay, I just want to say that about that black woman.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
They're mocking us.

Speaker 6 (14:53):
Come on, black woman with a T shirt in the
in the in the jeans on with us, stands.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Like then got a foca.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
You gotta know when people out mocking you.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Whoever game, I got you, I got you. Thank you
for calling in. All right, have a good one now,
w d I a hello?

Speaker 8 (15:08):
Hey number one number one.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
I'm doing good you okay.

Speaker 7 (15:12):
And I'm on the top.

Speaker 9 (15:13):
Thank you.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
I know you, and I know your children saying Mama,
you're number one with us? Are number one? Or James
James Ingram? Uh you know fout one hundred waves? No, yes, hey, Stormy.
First of all, let me give a big shout out
to our girl who's going to be turning an extra

(15:37):
uh the older anniversary birthday, because you only have one birthday,
but the rest of them are anniversary. Just like you're married,
you have a marriage. We got anniversary, Ben Johnson, I
wanted with another big days, you know on tomorrow Stormy College.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
Yes, happy birthday tomorrow to bev Johnson the Queen. Is
her birthday is tomorrow?

Speaker 7 (16:00):
Yeah, you made a mentioned and I have seen it
many times. Uh, there are wonderful mothers out there. I
want to get vaculated to each and everyone of them.
But the gentlemen just got off the ready of He's
absolutely right. Uh, women can be just as violent as me.
Don't think that they're not. They are the shell. They're

(16:24):
just as violent. I don't put nothing pads anybody.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
So you think that you think that Cassie was violent
to Diddy? Is that what you're referring to? Are you just.

Speaker 7 (16:33):
I'm just speculating you you talk them?

Speaker 10 (16:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (16:38):
No, no, no, But I know women can be just
as violent. I have been in situations just like that.
The woman may be beautiful, gorgeous, but behind closed doors
in the house, they can be notorious violence, just like
anybody else. So let's let's get that couple lot of people.
You know, women are not sugar spikes and everything like.
That's not the key, tom me. One of the reasons

(16:59):
why I was and I listened to Terry's Nichols stepfather,
I hate using that word because he's not a stepfather.
He's a father who happened to step up. But I
disagree with something that he said, if you get a
chance to listen to the video or watch the video,
And he made a reference to Donald Trump being part

(17:22):
of this situation that took place with the journals. Now,
Donald Trump wasn't an office. He had nothing to do
with nichols death. And I keep telling people these were
five rogue officers decided to do what they do. Now
I'm trying to ask you you maybe even answer to
what the donor Trump has to do with the death

(17:42):
of Tam Nicholas or influence the Germany.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
He didn't.

Speaker 7 (17:47):
He's probably not even nickles. We got to stop blaming
of playing the race cards when we feel it beneficial
beneficial were married to us because everything is not racial.
Things are just happened to be the way they are
right down the center. Actual accept this question, Stormy.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
What if the journeys editing can make them.

Speaker 7 (18:07):
I'll be happy you go. Only you want to to
be have a side that's winning, and you're gonna have
a side that's losing. Just in a circse, they end
up losing. No One saw it coming, but it did
as always started. I want you to have a pleasant weekend.
I want you to have a beautiful, blessed, safe and
healthy day tak care.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Thank you, Chris Charles. I appreciate you. You have a
blessed weekend too. All right, thank you, You're welcome. All right, listen,
all right, you too, have a good weekend. W D

(19:47):
that she's gonna be inducted into the twenty twenty five
class of the National Black Radio Hall of Fame in
September in Saint Louis, Missouri. Happy Birthday, bev Okay, we're
gonna come back and talk nine o one five three
five nine three four two eight hundred five zero three
nine three four two eight three three five three five

(20:08):
nine three four two will be back in a moment.

Speaker 9 (20:10):
Here's what people are saying about the stand up.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Or maybe it was a desire of theirs to change
and they just didn't know how to. Everybody deserves some love,
they do. M Yeah, yeah, listen, I got an email
from somebody and I and I want to read it
to you guys. It's kind of long. He actually sent
it to me on Wednesday, and we all know what

(20:35):
happened on Wednesday. Wednesday was oh Lord, I mercy. But
it's kind of a loveday, so day today might be
a good day to read it. I don't know, because
it's kind of long. So almost see, I almost see.
I might read it to you and see what you
guys have to because he needs some advice and wants
some advice, and uh, I may read it to you guys,

(20:55):
so you can help this brother out, because the brother
needs some help. Let's go to the iHeartRadio app and
see what you guys are talking about on the app.

Speaker 13 (21:05):
Hey, Stormy, this email from Augusta. I would be mad
saying that you mentioned something about should the dad and
kids get the mama some? Yes, both should get mama
some and mama.

Speaker 14 (21:18):
Should have them.

Speaker 13 (21:19):
Gravy weekend, and happy Mother's Day to all mothers and
happy birthday to miss beb and you are listening to
ten seven ed WDA.

Speaker 9 (21:31):
You guys have a good one. Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
I like that email.

Speaker 15 (21:36):
I like it.

Speaker 16 (21:37):
I just like to wish all the mother's happy Mother's
Day this weekend. I hope you enjoy your time with
your family and your children in Merchester. Tyrese Nichol's verdict.
I just want I'm just interested how many of the
listeners have actually read the Defense report, because it was
the Defense report that helped the jurism their decision. But

(22:01):
if you hadn't had an opportunity to read it, please
read it.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Okay. Got an email here from etc. Love Hello Stormy,
wishing you a happy Mother's Day. Thank you. Hope you've
seen the video. Of the white guy who walked up
to the state trooper pointing an assault rifle point blank
in his face in the car. Officers let him walk

(22:28):
back to his car and drive off. Officers then chased
him arrested him. It was unbelievable. It was awful for
missus Wells, Tyree's mom, to receive this awful injustice before
Mother's Day. It was like an intent to do this
before Mother's Day. Tyree can't be replaced, but it will

(22:50):
be great for our black men to show up and
show her love on Mother's Day without mentioning anything about
the tragedy since she received devastating news days before. Faithful
listener and Eric says to p Charles, when Trump said
he wanted to give immunity to cops who kill people,

(23:13):
is the reason why Tyree's father said what he said.
M okay, let's go back to the phones. WD.

Speaker 6 (23:21):
I A hello, Hey, how you doing.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
I'm good, I'm forgetful, how you doing.

Speaker 4 (23:28):
I'm gonna be honest with your stormy.

Speaker 17 (23:30):
All I hear is a lot of steps people you know,
I don't understand, So I'm can't just take a three
minutes just to tell you what happened to me as
a child and a man right.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Now growing up here.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah, talk to me.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Oh, my mother's grady right now.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
You know.

Speaker 17 (23:48):
The first thing she saved me, I was in her stomach.
She would drown me, and some miracle thing happened.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Storm She told me, Well, why she.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Was drowning, I don't.

Speaker 17 (23:59):
Know what's in the in the river wad lake?

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Wait, she was drowning, Yes, ma'am with me, with.

Speaker 17 (24:05):
Me, she pregnant with me, and and something pulled up
out of the water and she got to lad and
she can't explain it. She told me that storm I
realized that. You know when the second time she saved me, Stormy.

Speaker 7 (24:24):
Was when my brother got murder and it was a big.

Speaker 17 (24:29):
Thing going on, and the detective Willer of Missus Police
Department homicide, they kept out on me showing me. But
I'm gonna tell you, I was going to kill the dude.

Speaker 10 (24:43):

Speaker 21 (40:09):
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers in the world.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
That has birth.

Speaker 21 (40:15):
Kids, raised kids, been there for some young person or
what have you, whether God, mama, cousin, auntie, what have you,
And to me that have took the mother's place and
raised them while the mother was absent.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
Happy Mother's Day. Listen, Ah, that was so sweet, so sweet. Okay,
y'all hang on for me. I'm gonna come back and
get all of you. Don't you go anywhere. We're gonna
talk some more on the way. Happy Mother's Day weekend
to other mothers out there. Nine o one five three five,
nine three four two eight hundred and five zero three
nine three four two eight three three five three five

(40:52):
ninety three four two. Let me let me let me
give a shout out to the single mothers out there.
You know what I'm saying. Let mease, let me shout
out to the single mothers. You know, single mothers get
judged so much because people think because you are a
single mother that you ain't worth a dyme. You know
what I'm saying. They got all these things, You picked

(41:12):
the bag. You don't know what I did. You don't
know my baby dadd is. Single mothers get judged all
the time. But there are some single mothers out there
that's doing it. Man, you're doing it. You are doing it,

(41:35):
and you you and you're doing a fine job. And
you're not a single mother because you planned to be
that way. Everybody ain't planning to be a single mother.
You know what I'm saying. There are some, there are
not not. You know what, I'm not gonna even say
it today all this weekend, and I saying nothing about
nobody and their life. I ain't finna judge nobody her

(42:00):
stories about these this moment she did this name judging
nobody today this weekend. No, because honestly, we don't know
what people go through. We don't know I was a
single mother. I'm gonna tell you I was a single
mother early. I was, and there wasn't needs to raising
them kids early, just you know, young, and and and

(42:25):
and dumb, you know, and believed him, you know what
I'm saying. Believed him and and and and believed a lie.
But yeah, man, life happens to all of us. And
it's not what happens to you or has happened to

(42:47):
you that should be the the narrative for your life.
It should be how what you did about it. It
was a single mother still decided to to to go
to school, and to go back to school, and to
go back to school and to to you know, hang
in there with this career, this radio career, and and

(43:08):
and to do some things that I'm very proud that
I've done on my own. You know what I'm saying.
Sometimes you got to be your own cheerleader, even if
nobody else is. You know you, you know, you a
good mama. You know it can't nobody. When wasn't nobody there,

(43:31):
you were there, took care them kids by yourself. Look
at you, Look at you, and you wasn't trying to
play the blame game. I never tried to talk bad
to my kids about their fathers. Never never did it.
Why young Summer Walker broke up with her boyfriend over

(43:55):
the weekend or maybe yesterday, child, I don't know when,
but anyway, she posted on social media something that I
thought was just amazing because you don't hear young people
do this much. She said, Let's normalize ending a relationship
with no mess, no drama, just lessons and love. Let's

(44:17):
normalize that. That's what she said. Clyde said, Stormy, tell
mister Henry, I won't be seeing Nurse Beverly and coach
because I do not go to church. Let me tell
you some Clyde. You should let me just say I'm done.
I'm done, and I'm hey, you do hey, I'm just
won't you come? Won't you come? Mister greg Oh, Nurse

(44:42):
Beverly's husband, Hey, he says, Happy Mother's Day to you,
Doctor Stormy T and my wife, Nurse Beverly. Tell mister
Henry hello, and for God to continue to bless us
all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You a
good man. Nurse Beverly, you you done? You got yourself

(45:03):
a warm baby, not one word from me? Whoa mm hmm.
That's a good that's a good man. Right now. Okay,
let me go back to the phones. W D I
A hello, Hello, Can you turn that radio down in
the background for me? Jesus okay and turn that down.

(45:26):
We can get that down and then we can talk.

Speaker 4 (46:17):
All that over with. And math thing is, they got
the deserve to die like that, but but they gonna

I know to uh that God put her put her

laws and you need to be done about that.

Speaker 7 (46:44):
I believe that a lost.

Speaker 15 (46:46):
Cop super fact.

Speaker 4 (46:47):

Speaker 1 (50:37):
Had the long weekend plan, Yeah, the long weekend plan
for hermilion and he wants to spend there.

Speaker 8 (50:42):
With I think personally she should tell him and allowed
you a little time with his mom, and that way
he can you know, they can go ahead. And since
he knows that she didn't. They can go ahead and
do their you know, have their quality time. I don't

(51:06):
see anything wrong with just letting him know.

Speaker 1 (51:09):
Just let him know.

Speaker 8 (51:10):
I know he's going to spend.

Speaker 10 (51:11):
Time with your mom.

Speaker 8 (51:12):
Because I will say this. My mother passed away in
twenty fourteen, and I say to anyone who still has
a mother, you are blessed.

Speaker 7 (51:24):
Cherish every moment.

Speaker 8 (51:25):
Yes, take time, I mean, and like you said, let
every day be Mother's day to her.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
Because my mother.

Speaker 8 (51:33):
Was an awesome mom. My dad died when I was nine.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
She raised three kids.

Speaker 7 (51:37):
You know, we were in church.

Speaker 8 (51:39):
We finished, all of us finished school. My sister to
whom my baby sister to who I'm very proud of.
She went on to go to college. She is now
the CEO, the first female and youngest black, the young
black udy to be the CEO of the Boys and
Girls Club before you're a members. Yes, yes, yes, who knows?

(52:01):
To her and my brother, he's doing very well. He's
taking care of his children and he's working, hardworking. So
I applaud all that I said.

Speaker 15 (52:10):
My mother.

Speaker 8 (52:11):
Also, when I was twenty, my mother quit her job
to take care of me because I was diagnosed with cancer.
Then at the age of thirty, my mother quit her
job to take care of me and my son because
I got ran over at work.

Speaker 5 (52:25):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (52:26):
So yeah. And then at forty something I got sick again.
And had she been well enough.

Speaker 4 (52:32):
I know she would have tried to take care of
me a kid.

Speaker 8 (52:35):
So with that being said, going back to that lace,
you know, I said all that to say to this
young lady, you.

Speaker 7 (52:40):
Never know how much he loved his mom.

Speaker 10 (52:42):
M that man.

Speaker 8 (52:43):
Spend a little time with his mama, and then you
all take those other other that that last day, last night,
they take job his dollar, I s twenty four apples.

Speaker 18 (52:55):
Mm.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Okay, you know, don't don't have him missing out.

Speaker 8 (53:03):
Right, that's you know. I'm just trying to be nice
because I don't know all the you know, rus and regulations.

Speaker 15 (53:09):
You know.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
I got to Jennifer, thank you, Thank you so much
for that. I appreciate you calling in.

Speaker 12 (53:18):

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Say that, I'm sorry, I'm at an event and uh
at the damn backgrounds.

Speaker 9 (54:07):
But uh so, ok, I'm sorry. What I was gonna say,
take care of that.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
What I was gonna say is this is the day
to celebrate mothers, not to celebrate wives.

Speaker 1 (54:23):
Hear my friends, Wait a minute, not to celebrate wives,
girlfriends and baby Mama's.

Speaker 2 (54:31):
Right, because they have those days you have you have,
don't you have anniversaries when you celebrate the wives.

Speaker 4 (54:39):
And baby and baby mama, y'all are not related.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
So, Jackson, why do you always make me sigh? I
do not want to sign every time I talk to you.

Speaker 9 (54:51):
But this this is Mother's Day?

Speaker 1 (54:56):
Okay, gotcha?

Speaker 9 (54:58):
No, I have one more thing because.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
I'm at I'm at an advance and I'm I'm coaching.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (55:04):
So let me say this to look at it. Looked
at it.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
We do not live our lives by the Ten Commandments
anymore so, so just just to clear that U. We
don't live our lives by the ten Commandments?

Speaker 4 (55:20):
Who we? Who is we?

Speaker 9 (55:25):
America? We don't live our lives by the ten commandments.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
If you if you read all the ten commandments, I
guarantee that you don't live by all of the ten commandments.

Speaker 1 (55:38):
You can't tell me what I do, Jackson. Get on
back to work now, you hear the horn in the back, Yeah,
get on back to work now.

Speaker 9 (55:47):
Yeah. I'm always I'm always busy.

Speaker 18 (55:49):
I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (55:51):
Thank you.

Speaker 9 (55:53):
Hey hey, hey, hey, hey, wait a minute, it's Fridy.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
Although it's not Mother's Day and I only do it
on Mother's Day, I'm gonna say Happy Mother's Day to you.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
You're the only kept oh Jackson, thank you for that.
But you should say it to everybody as well. To everybody.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
Why well, well, first of all, you don't know who
the mother say everybody going up there for damn happy mother?

Speaker 9 (56:19):
Say happy Motherday? Everybody's own.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
The mother got you, jack.

Speaker 2 (56:24):
A lot of women have lost the child and they
can't have the children anymore and they don't feel right.

Speaker 9 (56:31):
What do you say? Happy Mother's Day?

Speaker 1 (56:33):
Okay, okay, I get it.

Speaker 9 (56:34):
Its ok Wow, it's gonna know tonight. You agree with me?

Speaker 1 (56:41):
Yeah, some comes around once in a lifetime held my
freeze over and I don't usually say that word. I
don't let y'all say let me stop, but it might anyway.
All right, Jackson, good to talk to you. Okay, have
a beautiful weekend. All right, give your child what child that.

Speaker 9 (57:02):
You have, a good one, and.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
Make sure you give your wife something for Mother's Day.
A cut his mic so he can't say nothing. W
D I a hello?

Speaker 4 (57:13):
Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (57:14):
So I'm a man? Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 9 (57:19):
Everything is good?

Speaker 4 (57:21):
About a couple?

Speaker 6 (57:23):
About the couple in plans that later made the plans. Yeah,
I think that, Uh, I don't. I don't see where
it should be a problem with her letting them know
that she had plans. But I think she should uh
should have assumed that he would want to spend time
with his mom on Mother's Day, so maybe.

Speaker 4 (57:38):
They could spend some time with her and then do
their thing. Also, I was wondering too.

Speaker 6 (57:44):
Is her mother alive? They should they should also be
her mom if she's alive. You know, I was thinking
about that.

Speaker 15 (57:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:53):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (57:55):
Also have Mother's Day to everyone in a very specially
shout out to Miss Fredd and miss Linda. Uh married
it uh uh yourself yourself dormant and uh Cassandra. Uh,
I'll say to you that my thoughts will be with you.
I know what this day made mean to you so uh,

(58:17):
specially thoughts to Cassandra, you know with the lost sign
and stuff like that.

Speaker 9 (58:22):
Yeah, yeah, quick as I could.

Speaker 6 (58:25):
Yes, do you remember do you remember a few weeks ago,
two or three weeks ago it was a guy that
was saying that he was he was interested in me
a lady friend and it was a young lady that
contacted you you met from.

Speaker 1 (58:39):
Yes, yes, who was that guy? I don't remember remember
that guy's name. I don't remember his name, but I
am curious if they if they you know, actually dated
or you know what happened.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (58:54):
I was just wondering. I was trying to remember his
name because I was wonder was it that first call? Yeah, okay, okay,
I'm just wondering about that.

Speaker 1 (59:02):
No, I don't think it was that first I don't
think it was the first caller. You're talking about Eric
that called in. Yeah, so but hey, I don't I
don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (59:12):
Okay, yeah, but y'all have a nice weekend and have
a nice time at Mother's Day. Tear everyboddy and uh you.

Speaker 4 (59:18):
Know, sayd that loud.

Speaker 6 (59:19):
My mom passed transition in twenty thirteen, but I sure
appreciate all the time we had her, so you know,
I'm okay with it. I know we all got across
that road one day, but it was a nice life
with my mom, so I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
Oh that's sweet coming man. Thank you for calling in.
All right, have a good weekend, okay, all right, now,
all right, all right you doo w d I A hello?

Speaker 22 (59:42):
Thanks, Thormy.

Speaker 23 (59:43):
How are you?

Speaker 22 (59:43):
This is May Day, Meredith.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
I'm good.

Speaker 4 (59:45):
How you doing fantastic?

Speaker 22 (59:48):
So thank you coming in. I appreciate the shout out
and happy mother and day check every single mother. So
two things I wanted to address really quickly. One is
a guy who came calls and say said all mothers are.

Speaker 4 (59:59):
Not good mothers.

Speaker 22 (01:00:00):
You know that's a very true famous sawy.

Speaker 19 (01:00:02):
But you know that's the.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
Reason why the Bible.

Speaker 22 (01:00:04):
Says to honor your mother and father, and your days
will be longer.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
On this earth.

Speaker 22 (01:00:07):
You can say, honor your parents if they were good,
or honor your mother.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
She's a great mom. He ses.

Speaker 22 (01:00:12):
You know, the mother didn't have a close relationship. He
has passed on now. But it takes sometimes becoming an
adult for.

Speaker 10 (01:00:21):
Losing your parents god.

Speaker 19 (01:00:24):
Mother to do.

Speaker 4 (01:00:25):
If she didn't know how to be a mom, you
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 22 (01:00:28):
And your mother was raised in a certain situation and
didn't have this, how do you say there'd be this
great grand grandmother to you. So sometimes mothers just simply
do the best they can. And again that's why God
say to honor them. No matter what, you still honor
them and respect them.

Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
I'm telling you your blessings would come in full fold.

Speaker 10 (01:00:45):
The second thing is that's all that I thought we.

Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
Really going to say this really quickly, and he them
and really really really really quickly.

Speaker 22 (01:00:52):
Hey, so I mean this, He has you old. I'm
getting okay because sometime I just think of myself and
just lose my thought completely. But hopefully I'll think about
it and.

Speaker 11 (01:00:59):
Call you back.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Your Happy Mother's Day to you, Meredith, Thank you all right, byebye.

Speaker 10 (01:01:06):
She was on it with that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
That was good, Meredith. That's my girl. Right there you go.

Speaker 24 (01:01:11):
Girl.

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
I'm gonna read some emails and go back to your
because you guys are tapping that out too. We'll go
back to that, but I'm gonna answer some more calls.

Speaker 12 (01:01:18):
W G I A Hello, good even good Captain Nell
Stormy Tee. How you doing.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
I'm good, Miss Freddy. Happy Mother's Day to you.

Speaker 12 (01:01:28):
Happy Mother's Day to you and all our single mom's,
married mom divorced moms. Happy Mother's Day, those that have
mother's honor, honor honor. Yeah, because I'm like, I'm right
along there with coming.

Speaker 22 (01:01:40):
Man.

Speaker 12 (01:01:40):
Hey, my mother passed a long time ago. It will
be fifty nine years. I was just thirteen years old,
and I missed my mom every day every.

Speaker 20 (01:01:50):
Since she passed.

Speaker 4 (01:01:52):
She's in She's in my heart, her.

Speaker 12 (01:01:54):
Spirit lives on. And also I wanted to say happy
birthday to bev Johnson on tomorrow and her sister on Sunday, Angela.
And it was something else I was gonna tell you, Oh,
the incident you was talking about, the young lady that
was in the Ambalans and the Sooto hospital. I'm right

(01:02:17):
behind the hospital and and uh uh my son, Yeah
that I'm like here, what you're siren?

Speaker 18 (01:02:26):
Now?

Speaker 12 (01:02:26):
I ain't hurt on sirruen.

Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
Wow, but thank.

Speaker 12 (01:02:31):
God she didn't get hurt. And the patient that was
in the ambulance, I hope they were okay also, but
it is if something is going on, you know, why
would you want to steal ambulance?

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
What was you gonna go with it? Well, she went
to you know, maybe she ran it into the hospital
on purpose. I mean, I don't know, don't know, don't know.

Speaker 12 (01:02:56):
But also I wanted to say, you was trying your
best to help mister Henry, and he kept going further
and further and further. Mister Henry, you be blessed. You're
gonna meet a young lady that's gonna be your world.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
What about what about you? Are you single?

Speaker 12 (01:03:17):
I'm single. I'm too young for mister Henry.

Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
All right, missus Freddy, I know that's right.

Speaker 12 (01:03:31):
I'm gonna be on the lookout to help somebody. Help
help mister Henry with somebody because he say he loves
a good cooking. And I'm gonna have to too bad.
My cousin's not down here, because she she would be
she would go for mister Henry. Bless her her.

Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
Because she loved the cook.

Speaker 12 (01:03:47):
And what else I was gonna tell you yesterday when
you told me, Miss Reddy, to get you some rest, Yeah,
I did. I took two of my sleeping pills and
I went to bed. I didn't go to bed. I
was watching TV with sleep.

Speaker 22 (01:04:00):
When I woke up.

Speaker 12 (01:04:00):
It was one o'clock this morning.

Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
I got on into beer.

Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
I got you, Miss Freddie. Well, you have a beautiful weekend.
And happy Mother's Day again to your Okay, you do
the same.

Speaker 25 (01:04:10):
And happy Mother's Day to your daughter and your daughter
in law and all of them, all of them, Thank you,
miss all of them, all of them, and God bless
us for another week.

Speaker 12 (01:04:24):
And we will talk to you again Monday, yes, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (01:04:29):

We'll be back in a moment. Happy Mother's Day to

(01:04:50):
all the mommies. Mother's Day weekend, May the ninth, and
let's go to the app.

Speaker 26 (01:04:55):
Hi Stormy, it's miss Owen. Wait, Miss Owen, Happy Mother's Day.
Thank you and all the WDA listeners. I want to say,
have a blessed weekend and help you have a great
weekend for all mothers.

Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
No, it's Miss Owens. Love your story, Love you, Miss Owens.
You have a beautiful Mother's Day yourself and a beautiful weekend.
Let's see. PJ says giving grace. As I get older,
there are two things I've learned is very important forgiveness
and grace. Giving these to others will make one's life

(01:05:33):
more peaceful. You never know what a person has gone through,
and when you don't learn better, you can't do better.
Even with mental illness, if one never seeks to receive
the right treatment for whatever reason, they will forever be
in darkness and confusion. Mental illness is real and can
be very detrimental to the person and those around them.

(01:05:57):
As we go into this Mother's Day weekend, I wish
all mothers good and bad or bad, a very blessed
day and wish them well. Praying for everyone. Oh thank you, PJ.
Elijah says, to all the mothers in your audience, the
callers and listeners, especially my wife, Miss Cherry Williams, and

(01:06:19):
to you Miss Stormy, Oh thank you. I see. Miss
Thomas says, I always get the best laugh whenever mister
Henry Lee calls. Last week, Coach Greg invited him to church,
but I guess that since Nurse Beverly wasn't the one
to invite him, he didn't want to hear it. Stormy,
Happy Mother's Day to you, the listeners and the callers.

(01:06:40):
One last thing to Eric, I hear you and understand
where you are coming from. I dare not diminish your experience,
and none of us should. Hearing him causes my heart
to go out to those children who may struggle this
weekend because of trauma that they've expecience. Have a great weekend,

(01:07:03):
Young August. Okay, she's tapping in. We'll go get that email.
But I'm going back to the phones right now.

Speaker 4 (01:07:09):

of fifty three. M you know, I was very young.

Speaker 4 (01:08:08):
An Happy Mother's Day to my wife, to my sisters,
to my kids.

Speaker 24 (01:08:13):
Mom, to you and all the mothers that call w D. I.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Oh, that wasn't too bad. You've been practicing, haven't you.

Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Oh yeah?

Speaker 18 (01:08:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 24 (01:08:25):

but so.

Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
Sometimes you're getting ready to see it down.

Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
I know I'm getting better because when I was a kid.
When I was a kid, That's how we used to
do it, when we would have our little walkie talkies
you know and stuff. That's how we used to do it.
So I'm learning, you know, not say a.

Speaker 9 (01:08:57):

out to one of the best restaurants ever or just
cook you.

Speaker 6 (01:09:15):
A great meal.

Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
I know that's right. Thank you, King HARRYO life too.
You're welcome.

Speaker 14 (01:09:23):
Thank you, Bye bye.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
All right, now let me go back to this app
and then uh we're gonna get back to the phones.
But somebody just tap that app. Wait a minute, here
we go, Hey.

Speaker 23 (01:09:34):
Stormy, this is Merriedig. I remember what I wanted to say.
A guy who called in about his mother and his wife. Listen,
it really got on my nerve when people keep saying,
let him go, let him go.

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
His wife is not his mother.

Speaker 23 (01:09:48):
Now, yes, you should get your wife something, especially if
she's a mother of your kids. But it's a mother's day.
It's for the mother so it's not about let him
do anything. He should spend that time with his mother.
He can do something with his wife later. Thank you, Stormy.

you know, you become like them. You do things that
they used to do. You know what I'm saying. It

at myself in the mirror, and I said, oh, my goodness,
I look just like my mama. You know what I'm saying.
Or there are things that I say now that I
didn't used to say when I was younger, And there
are ways that I act now that I didn't used
to when I was younger. I see my mother in me,

(01:13:26):

No?

kind of love for her, like most people do. Like
