Speaker 1 (00:00):
I hope that you guys are good. It is Monday.
Thank you for being here with me. I had a question.
I don't know why I was just thinking about it,
because I don't even know why I'm thinking about it
because it's not like it's something that's gonna be happening
for me anytime soon. But I gotta ask, what is
retirement like for you? For those of you that are retired,
(00:23):
what is it like? Because I know some people that
say it's living because you ain't living in it until
you know you get retired. I mean they just because
you do what you want to do. It's like I
think for some people it's probably like the ultimate freedom.
Especially if you're retiring and you got money coming in
(00:47):
every month. You know what I'm saying, It's like or
you got your own money, you don't have to worry
about that. I'm just curious for those of you that retired,
what is it like for you? Because it's not the
same for everybody. It's not the same. You remember that
young lady that called us. She called the show that
(01:09):
day and she said she either called her email and
she said, I don't even know at my age when
I get older, if I'm going to be able to retire?
Is this the generation? The baby boomers, the exers? A
are are you the Is this it? Y'all think this
(01:31):
is the last generation that's going to be able to
enjoy retirement? Is this it? I hope it's not. I
hope it's not. I'm just curious. I don't know why,
because I know it's gonna be a minute before I
too it. But I'm gonna tell you whatever now and
then I think about it. I think a lot of
(01:53):
people do because we think it's living the life, you
know what I'm saying. We think a lady of life
or a man of leisure is the thing to be
to do, especially the folks that there's some people that
make it look real good. I got a friend who's retired,
and she's making retirements look look real good. She lives
in a condo. She she gardens, Yeah, at a condo
(02:20):
on the balcony. Baby, she gardening, Yes, yes, ma'am, yes, son.
She goes where she wants, you know, she goes, you know,
out of the country, she travels. She's just she makes
it look so fancy. How much money we gotta have
to do it? If we decide one day, we want
to do it, and I did not plan to talk
(02:42):
to you guys about that today. I'm so glad though
I did not go live on social media this weekend,
because I ain't gonna lie to you. If I had
gone live this weekend, I would have got caught up
with everybody else that went live. Somebody would have assumed
that I was talking about what everybody else that went
live this weekend was talking about. Um hm baby. I
(03:08):
heard they was running running their mouths this weekend. Some
people were apologizing. Some people were saying, it ain't what
you think it is. Some people were saying I had
to do this on this day. Some people were saying
(03:31):
that person is a manipulator, a master manipulator, and a
liar and other things. I'm so glad because if I
had gone live this weekend, y'all would have just lumped
me up in there. I heard Stormy did a live
a lie. I'm so glad I didn't. I started to
yesterday for mother's dad, I started to go live. I'm
(03:53):
so glad I didn't. Some of y'all know what I'm
talking about. Some of y'all don't believe it that I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Leave it right.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Right there. I believe it right.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
There.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
It's messy, though, it's messy. Let me talk to you
all about it tomorrow. I had plan to talk to
you about it today, but I'm gonna leave it alone.
But if you want to talk about it, you know
what I'm talking to.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Hit me up.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Uh, y'all this weekend? Uh? Oh my goodness. So I
was looking at this situation. Actually, I saw it pretty
much immediately after it happened yesterday, with the whole situation
at Jay Alexander's, and I'd heard Lady D talking about
it this morning.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
And so.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
A man pulled out a gun on a customer during
a fight at Jay Alexander And I like Jay Alexander's,
but I'm so glad I was not there. I heard
folks in there was ducking for their lives. Nobody got hurt, though,
did I say that?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Did you?
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Nobody get hurt? Okay, nobody was hurt. Reports say the
two suspects left the restaurant. Now this will not be
shocked to you. Listen how they left. Listen it is.
Listen it is. The two suspects left the restaurant in
a purple Lexus SUV with Tennessee temporary tags. Hey them
(05:13):
drive out tag baby. Now, it wasn't shocking to me,
but uh, and I heard some people you know got
uh you know, uh, there was fights and uh, I'm
gonna tell you what's gonna happen Memphis, and I don't
want this to happen. I don't want you know because
the first thing I'm gonna tell you what's gonna happen.
(05:36):
And the same thing that happened in Virginia. Franconia, Virginia.
Mm hm, you heard about what happened at the McDonald's
down there, an't you You heard about it? McDonald said, uh, uh,
not up in here. You ain't coming up in here.
They got a new policy. This first i've heard of
anything like this. And if y'all heard something, let me
(05:58):
know that McDonald in Virginia they have a new policy.
No one under the age of twenty one is allowed
to dine inside of the restaurant. Y'all come through the
drive through, but you ain't coming up in there. We
don't know where you're going, but you can't come up
in here. A sign was posted at the entrance of
(06:19):
the fast food chains location in Franconia on Franconia Road
in Fairfax County, and it says that the policy was
implemented due to repeated incidents of student violence. This decision
was made to protect our staff, is what McDonald said,
our guest and our community. Now what happens if something
(06:43):
like that start happening around here. You go to jail
exemder and they say, uh uh uh uh, because why
are you up in that restaurant fighting? Why didn't y'all
take it outside?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Why?
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Why are you at Why why are you why are
you in that restaurant acting like that? And I gotta
know what do y'all? You know, what do you think
about all of that? What do you think about the
McDonald's in Virginia? Nobody? I mean absolutely, you've got to
show ID. I never heard of McDonald's having a bouncer.
(07:21):
They gonna have to have a bouncer. They have security
at the door because you're gonna have to check to
see if you're gonna do this. And I understand they're
doing it for to protect their staff and the guests
and the community, But if you're gonna do it, you
have to have somebody at the door checking ID to
see if people are over twenty one. You know what
I'm saying? How do you deal with it?
Speaker 5 (07:44):
How do you do?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
They say it was a popular lunchtime and after school hangout,
and the owner and operator of the restaurant says the
policy was developed alongside school officials with oversight from law
enfor okay, they got law enforcement out there. It's unclear
how long this policy is gonna remain into effect, but baby,
it is an effect right now. What if they did
something like that in Memphis? And is that what it's
going to come through? If you can't go to a
(08:06):
good fine Jay Alexander's and not have to worry about
watching your back. There is something that I do and
I learned this from a guy that I dated, okay,
some years ago. When I go into a restaurant now,
a lot of y'all, y'all, y'all do exactly what I'm
about to say. I do, some of y'all especially, I
think maybe men or maybe men in law enforcement probably
(08:30):
do it. But honey, it is what I do. I'll
be watching folks and the other thing I do, I
ain't having my back to the dough mm mmm. So
you know, ma'am, I'm my back will not be to
the door. I won't see everything going on. I won't
see what's coming in because baby, if I was at jail, Alexander,
(08:51):
you know where I would have been as soon as
I saw a dude come in with the gun. They
say he had a gun on the side. You can
see out the dough. I'm come on, honey, listen, let's
get a bone out of here. Come on, you got
to pay Unfortunately, you don't think about stuff like that.
You don't think you have to pay attention. But you're
gonna have to start paying attention when you go places.
(09:13):
You're gonna have to do it. You're just gonna have
to do it. I'm just I m hmm. You're gonna
have to do it. I saw this video and I just.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
A w D.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
I a goodwill announcement in the ps A for this
show today. Lock your guns up, parents, adults, if children
are around, lock them up because you don't want nothing
like this to happen. These children are lucky to be alive, y'all.
(09:58):
For me trouble, you have to drop out.
Speaker 6 (10:01):
And come talk to all right.
Speaker 7 (10:03):
Maze inside the magazine.
Speaker 8 (10:04):
Well, they're playing with the gun back and forth.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
The winning to believe is trying to take it from
the one in the orange.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Now, let me tell you something. First of all, this
is a true to me, it's traumatic, Okay, because I'm
watching it now police in that area. This is in
New Mexico. That shocking video has made the rounds on
social media. Okay, the kids were seven and nine years
of age. They are holding a real gun, a real one,
(10:43):
and they're passing it back and forward. And I'm scared
because I'm thinking, one of these kids don't get shot. Lord,
have mercy. Do they know how close to being shot
they were? Have they seen this? You know what I'm saying. Oh,
they're hiding. It's almost like they think that they're playing
(11:05):
a game. They're seven and nine years old. They say,
it's unclear how how the kids got the gun. I'm
gonna tell you how they got it. Somebody left it out.
Somebody left it out. That's how they got the gun. Okay,
But it reminds me of the story right here at home.
You guys, you got y'all saw the story, y'all. Y'all
(11:28):
the twelve year old girl that was taken to the
hospital mistakenly shot in her foot.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
A girl accidentally shot her sister in the foot. Now
they claimed that she thought the gun was a BB gun. Okay,
I don't know if anybody was arrested in this situation.
I was trying to see if anybody got arrested in
that New Mexico situation. Not sure in the story that
I'm looking at right now. Uh, you know, nobody. It
(12:00):
looks like nobody was arrested, but they could have been.
Somebody could have been arrested because who's gone?
Speaker 9 (12:06):
Was it?
Speaker 1 (12:08):
And is it lock your piece away? If you don't
lock your piece away and go, be no peace, especially
if you got kids in the house and then you
risk you risk your freedom. Is it worth it? Is
(12:28):
it worth it? Let's get to it. Y'all are emailing
me already. Y'all are on the phone. You're probably on
the talk back feature you can be. You can tap
that app and and send me a message. Uh nine
O one five three five nine three four two eight
hundred five zero three nine three four two eight three
three five three five nine three four two. Lines are
(12:48):
probably busy right now if you're trying to get in here.
But uh, let's let's go to the phones and see
if we can talk to you guys on this good
looking Monday wd A. Hello, Hello, hey there.
Speaker 10 (13:03):
Hi, Okay, I want to talk about requirement.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Okay, and who is this?
Speaker 3 (13:08):
Okay?
Speaker 11 (13:08):
My name is Linda.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Linda.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Are you a first time caller?
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Yes, sa am.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Wait a minute, I'm a first.
Speaker 12 (13:16):
Time caller, but I'm also retired.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Come on in here, Linda.
Speaker 7 (13:20):
Come on in.
Speaker 13 (13:21):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Now, those people who are thinking about retirement, you're near
in the retirement age number one, have a plan. I mean,
have a hobby, have something that you like to do
that you can spend your you know, your extra time
with number two. I'm gonna tell all you young people
out there.
Speaker 7 (13:41):
Plan for it.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
I mean, right now, people, spend within your means, but
then pay yourself so you can go and do some
things that you want to do for yourself. But to
put away some money, whether it's in a bank accoun
whether it's hide none of the mattress, whether it's in
a full one K, or whether you're investing in Vanguard
(14:03):
or whatever.
Speaker 12 (14:04):
But plan for retirement. And I pray for everybody to
have at least one year of retirement.
Speaker 10 (14:11):
I've been retired for several years now.
Speaker 12 (14:14):
And I'll tell you. Then I we give you five points.
Speaker 7 (14:17):
Number one. It there's good.
Speaker 10 (14:19):
Got to have to clock in and clock out.
Speaker 12 (14:21):
And go to lunch and come back.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Now, the downside is you're gonna miss your peers for
a while. You're gonna miss your co workers. You're gonna
miss some parties that you had at the office. You know,
to get together, the when you brought in the lunches
and y'all share things.
Speaker 12 (14:37):
You're gonna miss that. But that's only gonna be for
a while.
Speaker 7 (14:40):
Number two, you gonna.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Love it when you ain't got to you mean, on
no curfew, you can go to sleep because you know
tomorrow you can go to sleep any time you want to.
Speaker 12 (14:52):
So hey, that's gonna be Number two. A lot of
people wait until the last minute to retire.
Speaker 7 (15:01):
I have had.
Speaker 12 (15:02):
Friends to have died within six.
Speaker 10 (15:04):
Months of retirement.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
Wondering about that.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
So make sure you got your health and your strength,
young people, while you are able, you're working.
Speaker 12 (15:14):
You've got health insurance.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
Use that insurance.
Speaker 10 (15:17):
That insurance.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
Go and teach yourself healthy.
Speaker 12 (15:21):
You some healthy things and sit.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Out here making chaos or eating too much or drinking
too much or whatever, or go to the doctor if
you know you're doing.
Speaker 12 (15:32):
Somethings and go to the dentist.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
So if you got your health and strength, I said,
I have this motto since I've been retiring. My main
time is to God, my heavenly Father. My facond is
to my family. Anytime they call me, I'm gonna try
to be ready to heap because I ain't got nothing
but time on my hand.
Speaker 7 (15:54):
Number three then.
Speaker 12 (15:55):
Is my time.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
So those are my things about the retirement. But I
won't add nobody to at least one year of retirement
because you will love it.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Oh well, thank you so much for sharing that. I
really appreciate it. Alrighty doll, all right, all right, wait
a minute, let me give you this, let me get
come on here, there we go. Thank you so much. Yeah.
I love that.
Speaker 7 (16:24):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Those are some really good tips, some really Yeah. I
get that money together, Get that money together, young folks
that are listening. Young August, you got your money right, Chad,
you got your money right. And whoever else is young
that's listening, you got your coins together.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
W d I A hello, Hey, good Monday afternoon, storm
and tea.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Hey, Nurse bever Lee, good Monday afternoon to you.
Speaker 12 (16:50):
Good to see the sun.
Speaker 7 (16:51):
Chat, Yeah, come out. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
I was listening to Miss Linda and Miss Linda ride
on Poe and one of the main things she said
to those people, young people who are still working.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Planning early.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Plan you know, nowadays most businesses, most companies, they've done
away with pensions.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Those no pensions.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
You've got to plan for retirement.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Your own self.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
And one of the things if you're working for a
company that has a fall one K four three B
whatever and they offer a match, take advantage.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Of that free money. So you saying, Nurse Beverly, basically
we need to plan, oh yeah, and take advantage of
free money.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, take advantage of those fall one k's for three bs,
especially if the company does a match, because that's free money. Yeah,
So that's one of the may and start early planning
for retirement. You know, don't wait until you in your
forties and fifties, especially in your fifties.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
To start planning. But it's never too late. It's never
too late.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
It's never well, no, it's never too late. But then
you got to catch up, and you may have to
work a little longer than you want to work because
you may not be in a position to retire, you know,
if you want to retire at sixty sixty two, you
may not be in the position if you don't plan early,
if you don't start early enough and have enough, because
(18:37):
you know, you want to retire and be comfortable and
be able to do things.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
So you're saying, you're saying, if you in your fifties
and you waited late, you're probably gonna have to marry
up and get their retirement.
Speaker 7 (18:56):
Is that how you?
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Is that what you're saying? Nurse babyly.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
And Greg came in and was saying something to me
and distracted me.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Oh lord, I said, you might have to marry up
for some people, you know, they might have to marry
up so they can get some of somebody else's retirement.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
Yeah that too, that too.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
And also get your bills in order.
Speaker 7 (19:20):
Yeah, get your bills in order. Pay off some.
Speaker 3 (19:25):
Bills if you can con notes, you know, your house,
if you can.
Speaker 12 (19:30):
I know that's a hard thing.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
You may not be.
Speaker 10 (19:32):
Able to do that, you know.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
But some of these other bills, like credit card bills
and all of that, you know, Hey, put them credit
cards up, stop charging up all this stuff. You put
that money towards you so you can retire comfortably.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
And have fun.
Speaker 7 (19:50):
It's a good feel.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
And one of the things I enjoy most is to
wake up in the morning and it's raining or it's cold,
and I don't have to get out of bed.
Speaker 10 (20:00):
Unless I want to.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Sounds like heaven.
Speaker 12 (20:03):
Yes, yes, and.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
You can and you and you free to go throughout
the day. You ain't on no time schedule.
Speaker 11 (20:12):
You know, you just go with your.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
All three wheel where and when and how you want
to go.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Take as many line dance classes as you want to.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Take you in line dance, you can line dance town.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
I got your nurse, Beverly, thank you so much for
calling in giving me your two cents. I appreciate that.
Speaker 12 (20:30):
Okay, all right, thank you.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
You are welcome. Bye bye. Yeah, y'all sound like y'all
got it going on? W D I A hello, hello, hello, hey, hello.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Hello.
Speaker 10 (20:51):
Shockly come ahead. The reason I called in is actually
I'm retired and I've been doing a lot of traveling.
My wife and I was into Miami. We went to Colleen,
(21:12):
we went to Saint Louis, we went to Nashville. Now
we're playing well with San Antonio. Now we're planning on
this Sunday. Actually we're going on the cruise were going
side to Miami and we're going out and going to
BB Malcama. And the thing about the time it is
(21:36):
is one.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Word for mead, That's what I'm thinking. It's like freedom.
It's like yeah, yeah, it's it's yeah.
Speaker 10 (21:48):
I mean, you know, back in the past, when you
decide you want to go somewhere, something you had to
put in for a vacation time, or if you get sick,
you got to call in and all.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Of that and whatever.
Speaker 10 (22:01):
So and the good thing about it is, you know
you don't have to work any longer. If you set
you know, you pretty much can travel and and have
fun in your lot of years. And that's what I'm
focusing on because my wife loves to travel and I'm
just falling up behind her.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
How about how nice?
Speaker 10 (22:23):
How nicely? I mean, hey, life is fun for me.
And my hobby is is buying cars and selling them.
And I used me try to get cars on a
certain basis, like maybe Mercedes Forese, Jaguar or.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I currently have.
Speaker 10 (22:52):
Jaguar and the Mors Domata.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
I like convertibles, okay, and.
Speaker 10 (22:59):
You and usually the people that shops with me have money,
so I had to worry about the issue with people.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
So wait a minute. So you're retired, but you also
have like kind of a part time job. Yeah, it
sounds like it's something you love to do. Yeah, you
said it's a hobby. It sounds like something you love
to do.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yes.
Speaker 10 (23:21):
And then also I know how to work on cars.
I graduated from Badia Tech back in nineteen PD. So
then the you know, the little small things that need
to be done to the vehicles.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
I can do it.
Speaker 10 (23:33):
So okay, it's well, I mean, hey, and it's nice
not to have. Well, I can't say I have a boss.
I got one boss, and that's my wife. She's not
as stern as the other bosses. But you know, on
a serious note, retirement is good for me. And I
(23:55):
suggest people who do retire tell yourself prepared. Also have
a hobby to keep you going, gotcha as the post
just laying around the house and doing nothing at all,
and rememberful, Well, let me say Chocolate Star again. One
more thing, one more thing now my intro music. I
(24:18):
wanted to be from now and when the big Cahuna
coming in.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
I want you to play Bootsie Collins.
Speaker 10 (24:25):
I'd rather be for you, I'd rather be with you,
because I'd rather be with Stormy yell a storm Ki
and the place to be is with Stormy Tea.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
The experience that savy w t I ah, thank you
very much.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yes, Okay, On that note, we're gonna take a break.
We're gonna come back and talk to you guys. I
see y'all all. Hold okay, I'm forgetful.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
Eric.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Eric got the gate at the gage, so we might
have somebody knew I got an ike in June. Bug
y'all stick around. We're gonna come back and we're gonna
talk some more there. But yeah, the kid that was
on social media, those those two children, the seven and
nine year old in New Mexico that was playing with
the guns, they got a lot of a lot of
(25:15):
folks talking about a case that you might remember. But
this is this is the audio from those kids that
were surrounded by police. By the way, neither of them
got shot, even though they were holding and brandishing a
real gun that was I believe loaded. You know, that
(25:42):
was scary. The just lying I don't have a gun.
All kids be lying anyway, Those kids are safe. They
came out, you know, on armed, but a lot of people,
(26:02):
whole lot of people alike. If only that were Tamir Rice.
A lot of people remember Tamir Rice out of Cleveland, Ohio,
the kid that had the twelve year old African American
child that was fatally shot by a white Cleveland police
(26:23):
officer twenty fourteen. Do you remember, Yeah, people don't forget,

Somebody who treats you bad because of her traumatic psychological past,
or she mad at the daddy or threatened to kill
you when you six seven years old? What kind of

You got a plan and you start young. It's what
I tell my boys all the time. You know. Uh,
I ain't there yet, but when I get to that age,
I'll be ready.

Here and dip that.
Speaker 10 (35:48):
Man, act like that money ain't there to you till
you get ready for us because they call it penalize
you for it, you know. Yeah, that's what a lot
of people mess up there.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
It's a blessing to have it though, especially if you've
got a four on one K. I know somebody who
dips in theirs all the time, and I just think
it's a blessing to have it. I mean, you know,
we most of us know that it's for you know,
your retirement years. But it's just it's I think it's
a blessing for to have it, period. You know what
I'm saying. To be smart enough to have decided you're
gonna do it put it back yep.
Speaker 15 (36:17):
And it is.
Speaker 10 (36:18):
But I tell folks, if you put away, you gotta
pay yourself too. Yeah, if you put away fifty dollars
a week, there's twenty four hundred dollars a year. Two years,
you're gonna say five hundred or five thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Wow, Just put it away.
Speaker 10 (36:32):
And act like it ain't tell you know what you
got fast brains you're sitting on.

Speaker 2 (37:11):

Speaker 10 (37:12):
Those boys, they daddy trained them how to shoot, you
know them white boy, they be learning how to shoot
that for past.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
I don't know if they're white. We don't know if
they're white.
Speaker 10 (37:21):
It was I say, I seen I've seen it.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
I seen it on the worldwide news this morning.
Speaker 10 (37:26):
So the police said that they was trying to pull
the trigger, but it was malfunctioning, and they said the
dad is gone, but the dad is already locked up,
but they still gonna charge him with their gun. Yeah,
they he locked up already, but they still gonna charge him.
I mean, I don't know how they're gonna do that.
Whoever was at the house or whatever one allowed him
to get to it.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Yeah, I think it was the mom. Yeah, I think
I'm not sure. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (37:52):
Well, anyway, it ain't gonna be no l A T.
Y'all call them lts. I called him l A T s.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
Right la ts? Oh my goodness. Anyway, Uh, let me
go to this talkback Mike and see what y'all are
talking about over here. Hi, Stor, I mean, this is Jennifer.
Speaker 17 (38:16):
I just wanted to say, I hope there are a
lot of young people listening in because they're giving very
good information.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
This is something that I promise you I wish I.
Speaker 17 (38:24):
Would have listened to back in the day before I
got sick. Worked for a company for twenty years and
did not use that match and when I got sick,
and I could have used all of that money, but
I didn't, so I had to suffer and pay the
price and start all over. Please, young people, listen, they're
giving great advice.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Gotcha, thank you Jennifer for chiming in. Clyde, says Storey.
Ask my brother in law, big Gehuna. He loves his
retirement and I can't wait till my time comes.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
What he says.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
African consultant says, it's the wild, wild West out here.
They said that law enforcement has been called to that
home over fifty times. But they are white folks, so okay. See,
I wasn't sure. I wasn't sure because you know of
where it is, and you can't see the kids' faces
on the videos that I've seen so far, so I
(39:16):
wasn't sure if they were if they were white or not.
But you know, they didn't do nothing to them kids
where it is. Okay. They definitely would have been locked
up if they were black. He said that. Going out
to eat, Stormy miss morel hey girl, she says, these
(39:36):
restaurants are going to have to have metal detectors at
the door and ban weapons on the premises. Stormy, I
sit in line of the kitchen or the door, I
automatically look for the exit sign when I go into
a restaurant. Now, it shouldn't be like that. Memphis is
going to end up losing all of its nice restaurants
(39:57):
with this stupid behavior. Just pitiful.
Speaker 18 (40:01):
Ms.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Kosher says, Hey, Stormy, I hope you had a great weekend.
As far as the fast food places like McDonald's dine
in should be discontinued, drive through or create a walk
up window only at least they will be outside with
the foolishness. Uh, let's see. African consultant says, if they
can get the crime rate down, Memphis would be an
(40:22):
excellent retirement city because of the low cost of living.
And mister Tony says, new guy, he gonna get robbed
with all that bragging. No, he gonna be fine. A
man gonna be fine. We don't know who he is.
You know where that man is? All right, y'all listen,
we're gonna come back and and talk some more with
you guys. Lady d I'm forgetful and others y'all are own.
Speaker 15 (40:45):
Hold.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
I don't come back and get you nine o one
five three five nine three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two ten seven d W
do a stormy conversations live and on your radio, and uh,
if you want to tap that app, feel free to
do it. I'll play what you say nine o one
five three five, nine three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two eight three three five
(41:08):
three five nine three four two. Going back to the phones,
Lady d Meredith, don't forgetful, y'all.
Speaker 10 (41:13):
Hang on.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
I'm gonna tell you a little bit about the drama
just in case you didn't see any of it on
social media, and it could be because y'all not following
the Memphis drama like I have been. Okay, a lot
of drama on social media talking about people coming out
and basically saying that they were wrong as it relates
(41:35):
to the school board and doctor Marie Fagins. I'm just
saying a lot of people on social media this weekend
coming out and sharing some things, you know, some of
it personal that I don't care anything about, you know.
But I did watch only one of the lives. I
only watched one of them in part of another one.
(41:56):
But a lot of folks went live this weekend saying
some things that were not so kind about her, and
I don't know where this is gonna go. But I
just know, hone, there's a lot of drama right now
as it relates to all of that, and a lot
of people saying this Memphis drama is unmatched.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
Man, So I don't know if you've heard about any
of it, but I don't know. Y'all might be talking
about it in the morning, was staying but the baby.
They was going live all week mm hmm talking about
their experiences. And I'm gonna tell you it's not the
picture that a lot of people have painted of doctor Fagus.
And I'm gonna leave it at that. I'm gonna leave
(42:38):
it at that. And we're going back to the phones.
Uh w D I A hello, you know what, I'm
pretty good. I'm pretty good. Are you doing unforgetful?
Speaker 15 (42:51):
Well, I'm kidding you.
Speaker 10 (42:52):
I just let me.
Speaker 15 (42:57):
Be johhy you're started, man. But anyway, Storm, let me
just say praise God.
Speaker 6 (43:04):
I thank God for everything. I'm telling you.
Speaker 15 (43:07):
It's all about him, you know, retirement, whatever y'all want
to call it, it's all about him, and he took
time for him. Ever since I was a child, Storm,
and I thought about when I.
Speaker 11 (43:20):
Was in the twelfth grade, I said, what wasn't going
to happen to me when.
Speaker 15 (43:23):
I was grown man to get out, you know, a
school and graduation and didn't want to find myself up
in the army.
Speaker 10 (43:32):
And you know saw me that was good.
Speaker 2 (43:36):
I'm telling you it was good to me.
Speaker 15 (43:38):
But you know I'm gonna be honest.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
With you, the girl.
Speaker 11 (43:43):
When it comes to the kids today, like you were
talking about the union.
Speaker 15 (43:48):
And the situation down there with McDonald, we need to
start it here because saw me at end today are
so different than the way I was when I was
a kid.
Speaker 10 (43:58):
We need to start.
Speaker 15 (44:00):
We need kids with the iron fenced people.
Speaker 11 (44:03):
I mean, you got twelve.
Speaker 9 (44:05):
Years old running around with God.
Speaker 7 (44:09):
So I know nothing like this. When I was twelve
year I think I was playing with malls.
Speaker 11 (44:15):
Current man that something.
Speaker 6 (44:23):
We needed.
Speaker 15 (44:24):
We need to have something, just like situation in Virginia,
like you said with that night dollar, they need to
bring it to next. I know it's holler our people,
but you know we need to start doing something with
our children.
Speaker 11 (44:36):
You know wouldn't need so.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
You wouldn't so you wouldn't be up. You wouldn't be
upset if you went to a restaurant like Jay Alexander's
and they said, uh, we need to check your I
d sir, see if you're old enough to get in here.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
But I don't.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
I don't think it was kids that was in that situation.
Uh at Jay Alexander, but hey, I don't know. I
just know they left in a and I think they said,
Alexis drive our tags.
Speaker 15 (44:58):
Okay, they're already doing in a way anyway, because check
it out when you go to all these restaurants now
they open up lately, like Wendy, They doors like closed.
Speaker 7 (45:10):
Oh god, when I.
Speaker 15 (45:13):
Was well together in the night Donald almost the twelve o'clock.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
It's a different day. It's a different day and we having.
Speaker 6 (45:23):
Fun and everything.
Speaker 11 (45:25):
Have a child, Mac or what you call the big Mac,
the shakes.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
The flies man.
Speaker 15 (45:31):
We were have barn as a child and now here
it is Dormer. We need to stop this messy kids.
I'm telling kids need to go to school all year round.
That's the Poston that need to come out the gate.
And teachers need to get paid like they feederal work,
you know, big time money. They need that ninety five
(45:55):
yards not on breaking it, breaking into summer's and all
their craft need to stop it.
Speaker 11 (46:01):
And y'all parents out there talking about.
Speaker 15 (46:05):
Who want to watch my kids? Well, they're going to
school you around with.
Speaker 6 (46:10):
That help, so we can stop that crap with you.
Speaker 15 (46:14):
All I'm saying is Storm it needs And look, I'm
not the one out here saying things like blah blah
blah blah blah blah, because God, you know I can't
do Storm.
Speaker 10 (46:28):
I can't do it, baby girl.
Speaker 11 (46:30):
But I tell you one thing, this body is going.
Speaker 6 (46:34):
This man is always running. I can say that.
Speaker 15 (46:39):
And it's a blessing when you do things for people.
Because Stormy, when I was a young man and I
saw the suffering of my people, you know, and I'm
able to do something about it, I'm going to do it.
I'm not gonna look here to get the won'ts and
this and that. I'm not like that because I already
(46:59):
got all my needs.
Speaker 6 (47:01):
I don't need no one.
Speaker 15 (47:04):
So you know you want to be y'all a broad
Jane and who else out there.
Speaker 11 (47:09):
Hey, it's cool, that's what you like.
Speaker 9 (47:11):
Go ahead.
Speaker 11 (47:12):
You know you told a million out of hours and that.
Speaker 7 (47:16):
But I'm cool while.
Speaker 10 (47:17):
I'm there storming.
Speaker 6 (47:18):
I got thank God, that what is all about?
Speaker 2 (47:21):
Unforgetful and storm.
Speaker 15 (47:22):
This is the last thing if you really want to
know the true stories or everything, just listen to this
one song, storm And you know.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
What I told you, it's climbing up the level.
Speaker 10 (47:33):
God, I never stopped.
Speaker 6 (47:35):
Gotcha out of you.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
All right, thank you'll forget. I appreciate you calling in
on today. W D I A hello, Storming. Hey, No,
that's how are you?
Speaker 7 (47:46):
I'm just trying to I'm good, how are you? I'm
just I'm starting talking. My thought when I heard a
man supposed to be a four blooded man say he
don't need a woman. He just man, that's not mescaline
like one man say they don't need a woman if
you afford blooded man just don't sound masculine at all. Anyway,
that's not where I call it. So listen, I need
to address the man who has mommy issues. Okay, and Stormy,
(48:09):
I'm not meaning it as a joke. She has mommy issues.
So listen to me, my brother. You want to hear something,
let me tell you somebody something that y'all might.
Speaker 9 (48:17):
Not know about me.
Speaker 7 (48:19):
You know, you looking at a little girl that when
I was about maybe six years old, seven years old,
I was old enough to remember. Imagine your mother comes and.
Speaker 11 (48:27):
You saying she's going to the store and you don't see.
Speaker 7 (48:29):
Her for like seven eight years later. Wow, you know
what I'm saying. You talking about mommy issues. She did
come back in her life, but when she came back,
I didn't know where to cling to her, like clean
rob but to head up good but stormy. It was
a little bit of both coming up. But you get
to a point in your life and now I need
you to listen to me. Good mister, Well you can't.
You have to stop blaming people and take responsibility for
(48:52):
yourself because you can't choose your mom. You can't choose
your dad. So whatever parent God gave you, you still
have to find a way to be grateful for that,
because guess what, you still have life. And you said
you were singing for the last three years. I see
why you are so freaking bitter. You sound like you
really hate women because of your money issues. You got
(49:13):
to get over there, my brother. I mean, you've seen
positive things in your life, you think negative things. They're
like would come to a time when you have to
make your own choices and stop blaming your mom. Whip
your mom beat Your mom was in there, so what
don't get over it. You are growing.
Speaker 19 (49:28):
You are four.
Speaker 7 (49:29):
Bloody grown men. You feel like you're in your fifties
or sixty and you're still crying about what your mom did. Okay,
you can choose to hate your mom. I mean, that's
up to you. But what you need to choose is
to live your life and move on. That is over with,
is gone, and you won't let that hunt you for
the rest of your life and be bitter because you
sound like you want a woman, but you can't get
a woman because you're steel angry about what your mom did.
(49:51):
So in my life, I told you. If I told you,
I chold to love my mom despite of because I
have to realize that hell, maybe she didn't have a
thing she needed grow.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
On to be the best mom.
Speaker 7 (50:01):
And once I had my own kids and realize that
I wasn't a perfect mom, that made me love my
mom even more because kids are hard. My mother has
seven kids at thirty, she didn't even know how to
be a mom. So when she ran off the left.
Maybe she left because she's having a breakdown. I don't know,
but I have to get past it, and brother, you
need to get past it move on with your life.
If you have kids, if you tell me you didn't
(50:22):
make mistakes, I'm gonna say you were a lot. We
all make mistakes again, move on, get past it, to
give your mom and be happy. But thank you something
for let me in.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
You're welcome, married, and thank you so much. Man, you
learned so much about people on this show. Trying to
tell you. I you you never know what somebody's going through.
Speaker 7 (50:41):
You never know.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
You really don't wd I A hello.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
Hello, starman. Yes, heo starman.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Hey, Hello?
Speaker 7 (50:54):
Are you there?
Speaker 1 (50:55):
Yes, I can hear you, yes, yes, oh, yes.
Speaker 10 (51:00):
Yes, listen.
Speaker 5 (51:02):
You know the mentality of these people. You know they
talk about the mentality of the drama. You know, there's
a book I read car The mis Education of the
Negro by College in Woodson, and he said, the Negro
is still a child.
Speaker 12 (51:22):
Some of these people they act like children. They're grown folk,
but they act like kids.
Speaker 10 (51:29):
They love the drama, they love.
Speaker 5 (51:31):
The foolishness, you know, grown folk acting like kids.
Speaker 12 (51:36):
I don't know what they need to do starming with that.
With the school system.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
It's that curriculum.
Speaker 10 (51:43):
It's that curriculum.
Speaker 5 (51:44):
They need to stow it in the trash. That's what's
that's the problem with that it's the curriculum that's creating
these kids with this mentality.
Speaker 12 (51:56):
Mentality.
Speaker 5 (51:58):
It's that curriculum, the uninspiring, not ratually affirming curriculum.
Speaker 10 (52:05):
Take that and saw it in the trash.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
So if they do throw it in the trash, Marcus,
what are you suggesting suggesting they, uh, you know, replace
it with.
Speaker 10 (52:15):
Repleat it with our ratually are ratually affirming.
Speaker 2 (52:20):
Curriculum for black folks.
Speaker 5 (52:22):
A curriculum that that inspire you, that build value in you,
A curriculum that that gives yourself work. This triculum doesn't
give your self work.
Speaker 10 (52:37):
THETA Forum is European folks, that's our litafum.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
It do affirm black people.
Speaker 5 (52:43):
It's also you know, it does doesn't give so it
don't build value. It don't build no self working in
our people. That's why they have this mentality.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
You know, you know, we don't respect black intelligence. That's
what happened. If it comes to black face, you don't
want to hear it. Mmmm fious.
Speaker 10 (53:05):
They said, we don't want to hear its white fious.
Speaker 5 (53:10):
You see it then, because well I'm not really Jane
fact any too, because they give you a creator that
looks nothing like you.
Speaker 12 (53:22):
That gives you a See if y'all that look nothing
like I.
Speaker 1 (53:26):
Don't know about you ain't white. Let me just tell
you that right there, mine ain't white.
Speaker 7 (53:31):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
I don't My mine is. I don't know what.
Speaker 10 (53:39):
These churches you go there, you still got that symbol.
Speaker 2 (53:42):
A lot of these churches.
Speaker 1 (53:44):
But a lot of the churches you don't. A lot
of churches you don't. You can't blomp them all in
the same category. Marcus. I know how you feel about churches,
but everybody ain't church ain't the same.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Look it was better. It would be better if the
church was a factory. It would be better with church
with a factor.
Speaker 10 (54:03):
Because it would be you could be producing goods and
u and providing jobs. It would be you have a job.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
But a lot of churches actually do do that. A
lot of churches actually.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
Do do that.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
See, let's come come go to church with me on Sunday. Well,
I'm come go to church with me on son and
we are.
Speaker 12 (54:25):
When I got to church, I'm going to go for
the collection. Hey, that's what I want, you know, you know, Hey,
I mean I do.
Speaker 5 (54:35):
Somebody went to church, right, Rabbi, He went to church
and he had the machine gun, and he pointed to
the pasta and the and the preacher said, oh. He said, look,
you're ready to give me the money, preacher, you preacher.
Speaker 10 (54:50):
I said, oh, no, don't.
Speaker 2 (54:51):
He said, look you're ready. Your preacher said, look.
Speaker 10 (54:53):
I ain't really ready to move to heavy.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
You know, here is the collection. Here, take it. You
know that's.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
You know what I'm gonna do you one better. I'm
gonna do you one better than Nurse Beverly and coach
are trying to do with Clyde. I will buy you
lunch and dinner. I'm going to church with me.
Speaker 2 (55:16):
Church. See see see church church.
Speaker 12 (55:25):
I don't need I don't need no star.
Speaker 2 (55:28):
I am good, Yes you do. I wouldn't.
Speaker 10 (55:33):
I wasn't Marcus, I was born or the love.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
All right, Marcus, Marcus, Marcus. He gone, Marcus, call me captain,
call me captain, because I'm gonna save you. Well, I'm
not gonna do it. Clyde says, Stormy. That's what I
like about Meredith. She's gonna say what's on her mind.
And I want to know the same question. She said,
(56:00):
what that man don't need a woman? What man don't
need a woman?
Speaker 2 (56:04):
M W D.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
I A hello.
Speaker 2 (56:08):

Speaker 1 (56:10):

Speaker 10 (56:12):
Everything is good, man, I'm all right good.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
Hey.
Speaker 14 (56:16):
You know I heard that brother the other day. If
you're talking about the same person.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
You're talking about the one that called in Eric, the
one from this morning.
Speaker 14 (56:25):
Uh yeah, that was talking about the mother the other
day before Mother's Day.
Speaker 1 (56:28):
He addressed you today he said that he is that
same Eric that you asked me if that was him,
the one that had gone out with those leaders. Okay, yeah,
that's the same guy.
Speaker 14 (56:37):
Okay, okay, yeah, yeah, okay, well yeah, I have to
agree with everything marriage said today. God to him and
no offense. But you know, we have to learn to
forgive people even if they've done, like you know, something
that we really hate or dispass. Because if you don't
and I'm gonna speak to him, if you don't forgive Eric,
(57:00):
only wearing yourself down. You're allowing whatever happened in the
past to bother you right now. And I understand it
might not have been pleasant or nothing like that, every
then that not, but you got you got to learn
to forgive and let it go. Otherwise you're just gonna
hold yourself back. You're gonna remain being bothered your heart
aches and pains and stuff like that. You got to
(57:20):
free yourself up there, man, otherwise it's gonna be with
you forever. So whatever happened may have been bad, but
you gotta move away from it, and you gotta be
so seriate your forgiveness and try to live your life
and enjoy your life. Otherwise you're gonna you're gonna be
in the same place, man, So so try, try, just try,
and things might get better. You might not feel so bad.

(01:02:12):
don't know if I got them all down, but she said,
you know, there are a few things you go and
you gonna miss when you retire, Like you're go miss
getting together with your coworkers and things like that. You know,
you won't have a curfew as far as you know
when to get to work when you know all that
kind of stuff, she said, But keep your health and
your strengths. That was a tip that she gave to
the young folks. Use your insurance, go to the doctor.

Speaker 10 (01:02:56):
Yes, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 20 (01:02:57):
I got a good retirement story for Y'allso, okay, what
you got? I was forced into retirement. Yes, yes, ma'am.
I retired the first time in August twenty twenty. But
I let them talk in the stand on out there
and and August of last year they eliminated my position.
Speaker 10 (01:03:22):
What and then they gave me hoption.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
That's how the government works.
Speaker 20 (01:03:28):
I can give you this job, or I can offer
you an incentive to go. I said, how much you're
talking about? When he told me, okay, I'm gone so
at you twice?
Speaker 10 (01:03:40):
I I mean as happy as I could be.
Speaker 20 (01:03:43):
About three years ago, I bought me an RV. Okay,
and I told my grandson were gonna hit all four
day states before he graduated high school.
Speaker 10 (01:03:52):
What he's twelve years.
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Old with a hit six already? Wow?
Speaker 20 (01:03:58):
The only drawback to retirement is Uh. It seemed like
the people I know that I'm going to be their
little handy man.
Speaker 9 (01:04:07):
Come on and do this, John, you got come on
take me.
Speaker 7 (01:04:11):
One lady even asked me to take a grandson to.
Speaker 10 (01:04:12):
School every day and pick him up. I don't even
do that for my grandson.
Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
Uh. But what did you tell her? What did you
tell her?
Speaker 10 (01:04:20):
No, ma'am, I can't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
They're gonna be to days.
Speaker 20 (01:04:22):
He ain't gonna make it because I'm not getting up
there four o'clock in the morning anymore. Those days stop.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
When I returned. But it's.
Speaker 20 (01:04:35):
It is awesome and and and and and and the
people when you make the right plans. Now, Uh, I
only lost three hundred lost a month by coming home.
Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
Wow.
Speaker 20 (01:04:48):
And I get up on Tuesday and Thursday, and I
go to what I called the old posts home, uh,
to give my exercise on I don't know if I
can see it or not, but Orange Mount Community suner okay.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
And they got a.
Speaker 10 (01:05:02):
Pog over there for senior citizens that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
Is off the chain, okay.
Speaker 20 (01:05:07):
And now that the weather is breaking, I'm like the
other brothers. I get out there working my yard and
I'm waiting on school to get out, and me and
my grandfather we don't hook up to the army and
we're gonna roll all right.
Speaker 15 (01:05:21):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (01:05:22):
The only thing is that since I'm pastor of the
church right now.
Speaker 20 (01:05:24):
To come back, o't sad.
Speaker 7 (01:05:26):
It is and that keeps me in good shape.
Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
Also, Oh okay pastor.
Speaker 20 (01:05:33):
But I'm one of those pastors that don't draw salary.
Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
You don't draw what a sary?
Speaker 15 (01:05:40):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
A salary? Okay, Marcus?
Speaker 20 (01:05:44):
Because did I said, who onto the shepherd? That is
a burden on the flock, and and and and so
God has. That's mean to be comfortable. I don't need
them money that the church has.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
Okay.
Speaker 18 (01:06:02):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:06:03):
So retirement, I'm gonna tell.
Speaker 12 (01:06:04):
You, I get up and I go volunteer places.
Speaker 20 (01:06:07):
I was at at the VA the other day that
I told them that I'll volunteer be one of the
guys that drive.
Speaker 10 (01:06:12):
The people from the parking lot to the building. But
I can't give you but.
Speaker 2 (01:06:17):
Two hours a day.
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Uh.
Speaker 20 (01:06:20):
But that's the key is to stay busy, don't sit
down and and and die. But these people that talk
about working, stay as long as you can't get all
the money you get if.
Speaker 12 (01:06:33):
You're over sixty and you ain't close to it.
Speaker 20 (01:06:35):
Guess what you're missed the boat. That's that's onely thing
that hurts my hurt my heart more hending. I used
to leave my house at four o'clock in the morning
after from people in the eighties with ant little safety
best on trying to make their way to somebody's job.
Speaker 10 (01:06:49):
And I would pray every morning when I see.
Speaker 20 (01:06:51):
Them people, God, whatever day didn't do right, Please don't
let that be me.
Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Wow.
Speaker 10 (01:06:56):
Now, the first time I retired out fifty nine. The
second time I retired.
Speaker 20 (01:07:00):
Sixty three, and I'm still fairly healthy and able to
do anything that I want to do. My brothers and
sister selected off the kick that we all work here
we die. Let's come on, let them your folks have it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Wow.
Speaker 20 (01:07:17):
That's another thing that helped me to leave, is the
fact that they'll folks.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
They were driving me crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:07:23):
Missus John listen, I appreciate you calling it, but I'm
gonna have to run. But thank you for sharing. Thank
you for sharing that. I appreciate you.
Speaker 10 (01:07:32):
Yes, Ma is awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Okay, got you.
Speaker 12 (01:07:36):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
You two, thank you so much for calling in. I
appreciate you again. Man, y'all got I told you that
y'all got some stories around here, and you do.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
W d I a hello, told me it's the main world.
It's the main world.
Speaker 19 (01:08:00):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
Is the main world? But a woman?
Speaker 10 (01:08:11):
You better hear him.
Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
It wouldn't be nothing without us, Me and Meredith and
Lady did Lady p Women.
Speaker 4 (01:08:17):
Women compliment, women compliment men.
Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
But more than that, do more than nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
All my constituents, good, good evening. I joined the show late,
but I heard merediths ramblent on. I mean, but every
man does not need a woman. It's it's just the opposite.
(01:08:49):
Every woman needs a man.
Speaker 1 (01:08:52):
Here with that here, I'll prove it, Jackson, prove it.
Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Remember when you remember.
Speaker 4 (01:09:00):
When they killed off James and that that show went
to pieces because it was it was a man. Now,
women always begging men for money? Men never beg woman lies.
That proves that women need men. Men don't need Now
(01:09:24):
we want women.
Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Of course, Wait a minute, you said when you said
men don't beg women for money? Did you that's what
you said?
Speaker 4 (01:09:32):
Come on, come on, come on, there're the smart women
who give us money because of what we do and
how we do it.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
But we don't beg.
Speaker 4 (01:09:46):
If you if I'm trying to keep it clean. If
if a man is laying it.
Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Down right, and he's.
Speaker 4 (01:09:54):
Changing the oil, he's cutting the grass, he's doing everything right,
she'll be glad to give him some money. We don't
beg money for money like black women do.
Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
So that proves that you are out of touch.
Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
You are out of touch.
Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
I'm serious.
Speaker 4 (01:10:14):

smart guy.
Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
He's smart.
Speaker 4 (01:10:21):
You could have given him thirty minutes. I've been preaching
that for years. Uh, these greeted preachers who don't do
nothing in the neighborhood.
Speaker 10 (01:10:29):
Now for the preachers who are doing things in.
Speaker 4 (01:10:32):
That neighborhood, like Keith Norman and Bartholomo, or they're doing
things in the neighborhood, and.
Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
I applaud them.
Speaker 4 (01:10:40):
For those other preachers who get the money run back
to each Tennessee or wherever they come from.
Speaker 2 (01:10:49):
You know, I can't, I can't applaud Then.
Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
If this guy said he doesn't take his salary, that's
that's admirable, that's wonderful.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Is but the servant, what's that in scripture? To get
my servant is worth his hire? And I'm not saying
it right. Somebody to help me out here, go ahead, Jackson.

but she really caught my attention when she mentioned investing
in Vanguard, throwing it out Asian. All I'll say about
