Speaker 1 (00:00):
Can you believe that we're almost in June? Can you
believe that the year is mosey and alone, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Man, I was checking you guys out in some of
your comments on our ten to seventy WDA facebook page.
A lot of y'all shouting out at Tracy Bathay, our
program director. Congratulations star, because she's gonna receive a big award.
It's the Women of Music Business Award.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Congratulations Tracy Bathay.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, she's probably listening to the radio right now. Hey, Tracy, congratulations.
A lot of y'all saying congratulations to her on social
media too, Yeah, man, that's big stuff, big stuff. And
looking at y'all talking about the pictures that of Lady P.
Lady D is not in those pictures. Just fyi. It's

(00:57):
Lady P in the pictures and big whunah.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
And I'm in them pictures too. Yeah, I'm forgetful. You
might be happy about this. I'm I'm I'm I'm natural.
Now I'm wearing my natural hair. I had to put
the wig down for a minute, and that wasn't because
I wanted to.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Because I'm so busy, man.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I had three events over the weekend well in in
the span of like five days, it might have been
four at any rate. When you when you move and
groove and and you know, shaking bait like that, you
want to do something easy, man. And I'm telling you
this natural hair thing. I mean, I know a lot

(01:41):
of people think, oh, it's so easy when you have
natural hair. It is so easy, y'all just wake up
in your head just be boing.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Nope, mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Doing your own hair when it's natural, it takes some work.
Especially if you wanted to look good. Now that's different thanough.
If you don't want to if you don't care what
look like, then that's different. But if you wanted to
look a certain way, you know, look pretty good, you gotta, yeah,
do some things with it. And so yeah, uh, when
I'm going out, I take it down. When I'm not,
I have it in braids, or I have it in

(02:16):
what we used to call back in the day plats,
you know, back in the day be I would ask
my sisters, can you plat my hair? You know? So, yeah,
that's what that's what I have it in. And then
I have it's it's gotten so long. I got it
in a ponytail in the top my head. So it's
gonna be in a style no matter what. But when
I go out, I'm taking it down because I know,

(02:38):
you know a lot of people, you know a lot
of a lot of men like you know, they like
that natural hair thing. They they don't want you in
no wig. You know what I'm saying. They don't want it.
But when you have uh, and I know a lot
of men don't really you know, they're not they don't
really care. They're like a woman. They don't care if
she gave she's if it's their natural hair what you know,

(02:59):
They just they like what they like because I'm not
my hair. India Irie had a song mm hmmm, telling
fellas we.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Ain't our hair, We're not.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Okay, So whether we have a wig on or whether
we have our natural hair, we gonna we're.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Gonna make it do what it do.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
We still don'na look good, you know what I'm saying.
We are going to look amaze. And ok got let
me give you all some Memphis stuff going on real quick,
and then we'll get to some other things around here.
But y'ause, did y'all see where Oh man, they gotta
do something about that jail. They got to do something
about that jail. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office reported an

(03:43):
inmate dying on Monday. Mm hmmm. That happens too much.
And y'all, we we all need to care about that.
We all need to care what's happening with that jail.
I'm serious, we need to care because what if that

(04:06):
was you know, and some of us, you know, it
might not be our relatives. You know, they made me straight,
But what if that was one of our relatives, you
know what I'm saying, then we definitely would care. But
you we need to care about what's happening down there
at two oh one.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Seriously, we do. I saw the story, and now I
was a little confused.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
In Memphis Shelby County Schools, they're suing these folks, but
then they renewed the contract.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
A little confused by it.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
I was confused, and then I saw a story where
it says it's it's a short term renewal.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Okay with Power School.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
These are the folks that do their keep their records
and all that maintain the student information. And it's the
people that do the system and basically MSCs, you know,
they released the statement saying, all school systems are required
to have and maintain a student information system, so they
have to have something. But they so they went had,
I guess temporarily and signed this thing with Power School.

(05:03):
But they said they're looking into other places. And I
don't I don't know if any you know, as a
as a black person, I don't know if I would
think of starting a business like that, because imagine if
you had a business like that, you could get that contract.
But you gotta have some some some some you know,

(05:23):
you gotta know what you're doing. You can't just start
a business like you got to know what you're doing
when it comes to something like that. You know what
I'm saying, because you you don't want people's information to
be leaked. That's the last thing you don't.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
We don't want it. Mm hmmm mm mmmm, we do
not want it. Well, today's her day. Today is her day.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
I believe if I'm not correct, if I'm not wrong,
rather I think I am correct, let me, let me
let me google it before I say it, because I've
been saying it and I just want to make sure
that this is right. Well, I start celebrating her because
she's coming to town.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Very soon.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
As a matter of fact, Yeah, it's her birthday. Gladys
Knight my favorite. And you can tell me what your
favorite Gladys Knight song is, but I'm gonna tell you
this this one right here, this this, this, this one
my favorite right here. But she was singing that live
and I'm telling you she still got it at her age.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
She still has it.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
And I saw an interview that she did with the
American Black Journal some time ago and this I did
not know this, but but uh, there's something that she
says in this in this portion of the interview that
I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Listen to this.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Uh, there's been a responsibility on my shoulder for a
good portion of my life. Got married, Early, was a mother,
Early was a wife. Early, the Pips and I our
group evolved after a while where I had a lot
of the fund stability of the group because I evolved
the lead singer, where we did not start out that way.

(07:07):
So subsequently, as people adopted me and raised me up
in this industry, it became a point there where they
were saying, well, hey, if Gladys doesn't come, we're not
interested in the group.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Can you imagine how stressful that had to be. She
didn't start out that way. She didn't start out the
lead singer. But when she evolved into that, people saying
if she ain't coming, we.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Don't want them.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Can you imagine the kind of stress that'll put on
a relationship, You know what I'm saying when you have
a group with people. Man, they made it through that man.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
E Oo.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Gladys Night, Baby.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Happy birthday, Gladys Night, Happy birthday.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
What's your favorite? You can get me up and let
me know.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
And I got a question, and then We're gonna get
into some things and I'll share some other things with
y'all along the way. I see some people hanging on
nine o one five three, five, nine three four two
eight hundred five zero three nine three four two eight
three three five three five ninety three four two. Those
are the numbers to get at me. Or you can
tap that iHeartRadio app and send me a message, or

(08:09):
Stormy Tea at MYWDA dot com. All right, this one
right here, got an email. This one's from Chaz. Okay,
listen to this. My wife and I have been married
for three years and we just had our first child.
She had complications in the pregnancy and had to be

(08:29):
on bed rest for the last couple months, which required
her to quit her job. Now we're we were okay.
He's saying, we were doing great financially before, and I
feel like my salary should be enough for us to survive.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Okay, But he just missed a word there.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
The problem is that she is spending money like we
have two salaries still, and it starts to cut into
our savings.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I told her we need to stick.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
To a budget, but she thinks that I should get
a second job. I'm trying to be understanding and don't
want to make this into a huge fight, but I
think her asking me to spend more time out of
the house making money when we already earn enough is selfish,

(09:24):
That's what he says. How can I get her to
see this from my perspective? Or am I wrong? And
she should just buckle down? And should just buckle down
and figure out a way to make it or make
more money is what he's saying. Okay, Is he wrong?
And should he just buckle down make more money?

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Wow? That's loaded? Is she selfish? Should he?

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Is he wrong? Should he buckle down? How can he
get her to see it from his side?

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Who h.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
I got some things to say about it, but I'm
gonna hold my peace because I got people holding on.
All right, let's go to the phone and see what
you guys are talking about on this Wednesday w D
I A hello, Hello, Stormy.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Yay, how are you fantastic? And thank you for holding
elected officials accountable? Two or one popular should not be
death role. And it's going on for too long. And
if the sheriff were white, man would be picketing the building. Yes,

(10:36):
but thank you for holding them accountable. That's unacceptable and
it needs to be corrected.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
It is happening almost every other week, pastor Gray.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
It's too often.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
It's too often, and I thank you. You're doing great service.
Just hold that feet to the fire. That's what you
got to do.

Speaker 7 (10:55):
You can stop that kind of foolishness.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
It should not be that throw if what people are
held until they go to trial and what have you
should not be death through. So thank you again for that, Stormy.
And we're headed down to the Lorraine moved not Lorraine,
the Cleveland Temples.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yes for the for the yeah, yeah, to see what
this situation is and the community got to be ready
to rally together to rebuild.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
We must preserve that iconic uh center.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
It was.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
It was the epic center for not only the civil rights,
but culture and everything else we were doing.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Now, Pastor great, can I ask you a question?

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Sure, I drove by uh Cleven Temple on yesterday after
the Habitat for Humanity event. You know, it was downtown
at the Peabody, So I drove that way. I just
won't see for myself. So I looked over there, and
I thought to myself, I said, this sure is some
prime real estate. I could see why somebody would want

(11:56):
to burn that thing on fire right across from FedEx
for them.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Uh and and to assume me. You know, some would
call that paranoia, but that that's justifiable paranoia. Uh And
and there're been centers across this country when African American
properties and significant locales getting the way of improvement and

(12:21):
industrial development. Unfortunate let men of those end up just
like Cleveland Temple burned down. And I was hoping that
it would not have been awesome, But when it was
proven to be awesome, I was not surprised.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
That wasn't either.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, keep up the good works for me, Thank you, sir.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Have a good one, so good to hear from you.
All right, bye bye. That's the simmer Grade man. He
was the first person I've heard it from. Freedom ain't free.
It's not okay, Yeah, it's not free.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
So we honor.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
That's why we honor the military folks that have paid
the and made the ultimates vice giving their life for
this country. That's why we're owned them.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
M w D.

Speaker 9 (13:04):
I a hello, hello.

Speaker 7 (13:11):
You what you say so much?

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Saw me?

Speaker 7 (13:17):
I don't thank you so much for everything?

Speaker 2 (13:19):
You know, he didn't have to do it.

Speaker 10 (13:21):
And they tell him if I'm a player, you know,
I ain't gonna say a whole lot of words about
him and his wife or whoever she is.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
You know, wait a minute, his wife. I don't think
he married. I didn't think he was married.

Speaker 10 (13:33):
I don't know he's married. So she pulled it up
all and say he was married.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
I don't know, so she pulled him I don't know.

Speaker 11 (13:39):
I thought you could google it and body, and I
don't know if he's married.

Speaker 9 (13:43):
And I don't know.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
I don't think he is. If I'm lying, you know,
forgive me, mayor, but I don't think he is.

Speaker 10 (13:51):
Ok But anyway, anyway, he had a great time. So
thank you almost for everything. And listen there and everybody
you know right here, uh you know, behave my man, man,
you know Stamer.

Speaker 11 (14:06):
Now that guy said lives right.

Speaker 10 (14:07):
This don't make sense that all these people keep dying
down here.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
You're talking about Pastorlimber Gray.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
That's what you're talking about.

Speaker 10 (14:15):
I'm talking about Dad out here in the deal, doesn't
Deail House.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah you when you said that guy was right that
the guy you were talking about is Pastor Gray.

Speaker 10 (14:23):
Oh, this is okay, past the Gray. Absolutely, you know,
because I say it all the time.

Speaker 12 (14:28):
You know, I don't have anyone down there.

Speaker 10 (14:30):
But you know the thing about it, people that do
have to get them. They loved ones, you know, for
what reason they down there? For whatever reason that bring
here is close to the radio.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
Whenever reason they down there.

Speaker 10 (14:41):
They don't mean you need to say, I get killed
a learner. Whatever's going on down there.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
This don't make sense to me.

Speaker 11 (14:46):
I mean, and I know, And let me tell a lady,
d bring her you're closer to radio.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I don't like it.

Speaker 10 (14:50):
And I'm gonna telling her I don't like but this
is not my radio station.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
But I don't like it.

Speaker 10 (14:53):
When y'all stay that slowan when she get on there
and she say, I tell them I'm asleep.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
I hate that.

Speaker 10 (14:59):
I hate and I mean, I ain't gonna feel the
cold when I say something. But I don't like kirsing
I'm saying, y'all, I do not like.

Speaker 7 (15:05):
I promise you.

Speaker 9 (15:06):
I just do not like when y'all play.

Speaker 10 (15:09):
That on her because I don't think it's right. I
don't think it's fair from no one, because you know,
I know people say, well, well, I get you most
because I feel that these people you know, calling you
on the phone, it doesn't hurt no one to say, well,
I just call and say I just want to say hey.

Speaker 7 (15:24):
You know, that's all they want to do is.

Speaker 10 (15:26):
Hear somebody talk something, even though they've been done wrong
in jail something I'm being there for some reasons.

Speaker 11 (15:31):
But don't make no sense.

Speaker 10 (15:32):
But they still just.

Speaker 7 (15:33):
Want to talk to you on the phone.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
And talking to you all.

Speaker 10 (15:36):
But you know how you feel if someone you get
a phone call after you didn't say that I don't
want to talk to you, say them I'm asleep, and
then you get a phone call next day talking about
they didn't die or even got killed or something that happened.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
I mean that that just bothers me.

Speaker 10 (15:48):
I hate to say this one, you know, and it
is one of these like they had to put that
out there because I hate to hear that slogan.

Speaker 11 (15:54):
I hate to hear.

Speaker 10 (15:55):
But congratulations to Trace for they on when her reward,
you know, and I know she probably deserves, you.

Speaker 7 (16:02):
Know, and she seems like she's doing a great job.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
And she is job she is, I believe you.

Speaker 10 (16:09):
And I said it just I don't know.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
What to say, so I don't let me just saw it.

Speaker 10 (16:13):
What's up for a job. I want you guys, you know,

But I said, speaking on my brother Daniel.

Speaker 13 (18:11):
I don't know that movie Handyball team out, but at
least they project him. You know, they put him in
the right place because you know, a lot of people
don't know a Honeyball that that's.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
A black man.

Speaker 13 (18:25):
You all and he did something that they considered impossible.
He crossed the Alps with that which is it is
army with our team of elephants and.

Speaker 7 (18:36):
Window in home and funk karoom in to a team.

Speaker 8 (18:42):
Me.

Speaker 7 (18:42):
See, that's why you're find a lot.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Of the people in in southern Italy.

Speaker 13 (18:47):
You know that in Sicilian they have that capa cola,
how they have that black blood in them and all them,
not them not learn Italians or really check will them?

Speaker 3 (18:57):
So the Italians, you.

Speaker 13 (18:59):
See something happening Spiin. In seventy eleven, the Moors that
Spion went and conquered southern Speing conquered Spiin.

Speaker 9 (19:09):
And two things happen.

Speaker 13 (19:10):
In fourteen ninety two when Christopher colombosil the doors people
lost their power. These Moors a Spieing lost their power.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
So they went to Spein and teach them people.

Speaker 13 (19:23):
Sunny Teashana running gave them how to you sup because
they said true is through the window.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
We utalize these people.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
You know, so you have to study your history before.

Speaker 13 (19:38):
Sixteen nineteen, because you see they give black people their
history from sixteen to nineteen. We have to go and
find out what were we doing before sixteen nineteen and
I want occluse with this.

Speaker 6 (19:50):
I want to said this to to Denver.

Speaker 13 (19:53):
A thief is a thief. It doesn't matter if there

Speaker 14 (20:05):
A thief, A thief, A thief, he said, And I.

Speaker 7 (20:09):

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Who the cap fit let him wear it? I think
this is yeah, whoever the cap fit let them wear it?
Thank you, Thank you, Marcus. Raphael, he says, Stormy, I
refuse to sit on the other side of this radio
and let you spew this foolishness. Your hair or y'all
hair is y'all superpower. Now what are you talking about?
I talked about how beautif my hair is my hair

(20:46):
I do. I just don't get a chance to to,
like I said, wear it down, you know, because I'm
always busy. And like I said, it's tough when you
have when your hair is as long as my My
hair now is.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
As long as at least one of those wigs i'd bewhere. Well,
a baby, this.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Stuff is long and it takes a long time to
do it. It took me an hour and a half.
I went out yesterday, did the habitat for a man anything.
I came here with y'all got on this radio. I
didn't get home last night till about eight or eight
thirty something like that. And when I got home it
took me.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
I was up till.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
I started at nine, and I think I got finished
at about eleven or eleven thirty doing my hair, just
you know, just platten it in, you know, and putting
it in place.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
And then I rolled. I roll it.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
When I do that, I roll it so I can,
you know, got a system. But yeah, it's it's babe.
It ain't for the week, mister burden is not for
the week. I mean, you can worry it like that.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
If you won't, you won't do that to it. You
can wear it like that. It is beautiful, okay. I
just I don't choose to wear mine like that. I
choose to you know, massage mine my tresses and things.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
Anyway, I got some people hanging on and you guys
have emails, and I'm gonna see if you've got me.
If y'all been tapping the app as well. When I
come back, we're gonna talk some more. So y'all stick
around before I go. Now, when I come back, I'll
give you another one of my favorite Gladys Night song.
It is her birthday today. Happy birthday, Gladys Night, Nurse
Beverly Black, Conservative Jennifer big Cahonah. Y'all stick around. We'll

(22:34):
be back in a moment. Just fyi, Okay, okay, So
this one right chim is right here.

Speaker 8 (22:44):
This is.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Gladys Night. Mm hmmmm mm hmmm. Happy birthday to Gladys Night.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Oh that's one right there. That's it right there.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
We all right, let's go back to the phones. Let
me read one email here, and we're going back to
the phones. Reguarding the email, okay, man says he's married,
they had a child.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
His wife had to quit her job because the doctor.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Put her on bed rest, and she has been spending
money like crazy. She's thinking money fall from them trees.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
He says.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
She's spending it like they still got a two income
household and they don't. And she's dipping into the savings
and he's trying to put a nip it in the bud.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
And hey, you're gonna have nip that in the bud.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Sir.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
I'm trying to tell you because y'all know what they say. Okay,
So this is what married people have told me, and
I believe it. Married people have said, if there's a
problem before you marry the person, it's only gonna magnify
once you get married. Okay, some bottom you don't like,

(23:48):
or something they do that you don't like, there's a problem,
it's gonna magnify when you get married. Now, now, he
probably knew she was spending money, but she did have
her own job, and now that she doesn't have one, See, sir,
you might have to go get you another job.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Hey, Hey, it's up to you anyway, Tracy says.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Hey, Tracy, she says, the wife is selfish and inconsiderate.
Why does she feel it's okay for her husband to
work two jobs just so she can spend money. If
they can make it off his salary, that's what they
should do until she can go back to work.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Now, if he.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Needs a second job to maintain the bills, that's different.
Hopefully she will listen to her husband on this one.
Take care of Stormy. Yeah, wd I A hello.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
Hey, good, wonderful winterday, afternoon stormy team.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Nurse bever Lee, how you doing doing well?

Speaker 9 (24:52):
Doing well?

Speaker 3 (24:53):
Wonderful?

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Okay, I got some comments, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
One my favorite gladdest night song is Saved over Time
for me.

Speaker 6 (25:06):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
M M, that's a good one.

Speaker 15 (25:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
I keep you trying looking out the window, hoping to
see only you.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Oh.

Speaker 9 (25:17):
I can't remember the rest of it, but anyway, I
love that over.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
Town yeh man number two.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
The lady who's spending the money, she's on bed rest,
so she must be ordering stuff.

Speaker 7 (25:31):
She got the money she ordered, she ordering well.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
I think she's being inconsiderate if she's on bed rest
and her husband is putting the bills, but the only
thing he's asking her is just to kind of scale
back some what. I think she should be considerate enough
to do that if it's just only temporary now. If

(25:59):
she likes to spend money, once she has her baby,
then she probably needs to go back to work. Because
she likes to spend money, then she needs to have
her own So you know, I think she needs to
slow her role until you know she can go back
to work. She's got a good man, and he's willing

(26:20):
to put the bills so that she can be on
bed rest. You know, she should be willing to go
along with and before.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
A good man.

Speaker 2 (26:29):
A good man.

Speaker 5 (26:31):
Yeah, she needs she better know what she got and
I also want to congratulate trace it. But they she's
doing a wonderful job. I have sent her a couple
of emails because I really enjoyed when when staying and
bail out. You know, she have people sitting in and

(26:53):
they are people who really.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Keep the show going.

Speaker 11 (26:57):
So I have thanked her on that. So I'm congratu
laying her well deserved.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
And my final thing, yes, ma'am.

Speaker 9 (27:03):
I feel you on that hair.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
Ever since they came out about the dangers of palms,
because you know.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
I started wearing parents.

Speaker 5 (27:13):
Well really, I was out in my forties. I started
doing parents because I was afraid it's gonna take my hair.
But I found I had a beautition I trusted. But
now where all the reports about the home the palms
can do? You know, I have left the parents along
and I tried to go natural, but my hair just
won't do it because I have fine, frizzy hair. It's

(27:36):
not of course, it's fly away as long as it's wet,
it's waving, but once it dries, it's.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
Frizzing and fly away.

Speaker 5 (27:47):
So my solution has been, especially with me lying dancing
and I sweat, I got tired of doing my hair
and going nine.

Speaker 9 (27:57):
Dancing and sweating it out.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
So I have acquired a wide wardrobe of caps and
hats that matches my outfit. So I've got I probably
got about thirty caps and hats and they match whatever
I wear.

Speaker 13 (28:16):
And I just love not having the roll half before
I go to bed at night.

Speaker 9 (28:20):
I can just comb it and tie down.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
And go to bed.

Speaker 9 (28:25):
So it's been freedom for me.

Speaker 5 (28:27):
I wish I could do the natural thing, but I can't,
so I just did the best thing. Just get me
some caps and hats.

Speaker 14 (28:35):
And do my thing.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
Yeah, all right, that's my comment for the evening. Thank
you for taking my calls.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
And yes, ma'am, you're so welcome Nurse Beverly doing the
natural thing. I'm telling you, it's it's not for the week.
It's it's it's it can be a job for a
lot of people, and you adjust, And that sounds like
what Nurse Beverly has done.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
She's a just you know, to how she likes to
wear her hair. Uh w d I a flo.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
I am the most aradise mine three and thinker and
political philosopher. You know I want to change. I want
to change your intro. So I don't like that. I like,
I'm like, oh teaching, I don't like it. I'm gonna
work on something. I'm I'm I'm gonna send you uh

(29:27):
audio clip. I'm gonna I'm gonna do a remix for
I don't like that I got I'm I'm up scared
that for you.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Uh oh wait, who's gonna be doing the singing on
the black Conservative?

Speaker 2 (29:40):
You about all that I can pay him?

Speaker 14 (29:44):
I'm not like, I'm not like uh you know Danny and.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Uh and you know that you do know that the
man who.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Does my intro is actually an award winning uh rapper.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
You do know that Granny Grammy award winning out.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Yeah, I applaud him for that. I applaud him for that.
You need to be recommended for that. I ain't gonna
take up no uh credit for him. But I'm just
gonna send you a symbol so you can just listen
to it.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Okay, send email it to me and I'll listen to it,
and I'm send it right on back to you.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
But send it now.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
You're gonna like, You're gonna like this, and you may
play it. You ain't playing area now and then, but
you're gonna like it. Look, I've been playing piano since
I was uh knee high to a grasshopper. It is
here and keyboard. Yeah, I'm a musician.

Speaker 14 (30:34):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Conservatives.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah, I played all the I have played all the
brass instruments, trumpet's French horn that.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Have you ever been in a band?

Speaker 6 (30:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:45):
I was in the performing band, marching band. Yeah wow,
and Uh. I started playing piano at the age twenty
one when I was a military military And then also
I played in a night at a nightclub. To believe
it or not, I played at nightclub with the band
you know like they have Yeah yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Because musicians.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Everybody needs musicians, you know what I'm saying, when they're
singing and stuff like that. And they need them at church,
they need them in you know, in spots where there's
live music.

Speaker 14 (31:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Man, yeah, you can make good money and members.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Oh yeah, I was church musicians for almost fifteen twenty years.

Speaker 14 (31:20):
I usually travel with UH.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
A lot of passed the whalerm over there? Really that
I played a little bit for past whaler? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Did he keep you out? I mean, I'm sorry, I've been.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
I've been in dinner. He dinner at his home, waiting.
Cool May helped me cools and I just payed just
a little bit until they got to fill in because
I think the musician Devor who was playing, she left
and uh when it was over there, pleasant girl.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Anyway, we learned something every day.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Yeah, yeah, I'm a good musician. Uh, I'm gonna do
re missal bell too. I'm getting tired the bell jump.
Uh some sexophone.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
You about to make me hang up on you? Come
on with what you got to say. Come on, what
you got to say?

Speaker 2 (32:02):
Come on and say what I got Let me say
what I got to say real quick.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
About Oh his phone that started going out?

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Is my phone going out?

Speaker 3 (32:13):
I'm sorry? Yes, keep talking though.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Go ahead, I'm gonna make this weird short. I'm probably
gonna make somebody upset, but that ain't nothing new, real short, Okay,
go ahead and out here past great call in and right.
It's so concerned about what's happening in jail to dying.
That was no inmates. But I wonder is he concerned

(32:38):
about what's happening at twenty four thirty Poplar Avenue. Everybody
concerned about two or one Poplar Avenue, but nobody call
in concerned about who's dying at twenty four to thirty
Popular Avenue. Over there, parent playing parenthood?

Speaker 6 (32:54):
Who is?

Speaker 14 (32:55):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (32:56):
All right?

Speaker 1 (32:58):
All right, we got it, all right, we got all right,
all right, all right, all right. Good hearing from you,
and and so glad to hear your story. I didn't
know you were doing all that. Okay, I'm gonna let
you go now, all right, okay, absolutely all right, bye
bye bye bye ah.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Oh my goodness, w d I a hello?

Speaker 16 (33:21):
Hello there?

Speaker 17 (33:24):
How are you beautiful?

Speaker 3 (33:25):
I'm wonderful, beautiful.

Speaker 9 (33:26):
How are you?

Speaker 5 (33:28):
I'm wonderful as well.

Speaker 12 (33:31):
I want to start by thanking you for taking my call.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
You're very welcome.

Speaker 12 (33:36):
I wanted to speak about the couple that wrote in
about the white doing well.

Speaker 18 (33:43):
I want to speak from a personal note, and I
want I agree with everybody that has spoken about.

Speaker 12 (33:50):
Her being selfish and in considerate, but I do want her.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
To think about and I want him to think about.

Speaker 12 (33:56):
We live that My husband and I we kind of live.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Wait a minute, so you're saying you were you were
in the same kind of a situation, same kind of.

Speaker 9 (34:05):
Situation, but I wasn't.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
It wasn't that I was pregnant.

Speaker 12 (34:07):
But my husband and I we started off when we
got married, both of us were working.

Speaker 9 (34:12):
We were both working.

Speaker 12 (34:14):
But in my situation, I got sick and it was
a sickness that's almost to death. However, we lost everything
because we went.

Speaker 11 (34:25):
From two sallaries to one, and then with the one
I was in and out of the.

Speaker 12 (34:30):
Hospital, I had to go to the Mayo clinic, which
you had to fly out, you had to have your
own money for different expenses because with that situation, you
had to be there from seven to ten days so
they could run tests and things of that nature. So
we were out of town a lot, traveling, trying to
get me better, and all money was just depleted. So

(34:53):
when I say we lost everything, my car was repossessed,
the house was four closed, and we had to start over.
So I would like for her to just think about,
you know, the consequences of.

Speaker 18 (35:08):
Just spending, spending, spending, and even going through the savings.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
So that's what I would like for her to think about.

Speaker 18 (35:18):
Because other things can come about, and to have him
to go out and get another job, yes, possibly he
could do that, but you also want to think about
later on down the line, what could happen with him
being out of the.

Speaker 12 (35:30):
House all the time working, not there for the baby,
not there for her. So it's just other things he
needs to be thinking about besides just overspending, is what
I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, yeah, what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Yeah, thank you for that perspective too, and being what's
the word transparent or or you know, vulnerable with us.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Thank you, yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 9 (35:58):
I don't mind it all Its help somebody.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah, yeah, you don't know who you're helping. You you
helping somebody, You're helping somebody. Yeah, I pray so thank you, Jennifer.

Speaker 9 (36:12):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
You know, listening to what Jennifer said, you know, and
thinking about the fact that they have told us, you know,
we've heard that a lot of people need to buckle
up and hold on to your coins because you don't know,
you know, your money, your cash, whatever it is, hold
on to it, have some money stashed away and all
that kind of stuff, because, uh, there may be some
hard days coming. You know, we don't know if that's

(36:35):
going to come, but we do know that we that
is something that we should all be thinking about. And
when it comes to spending money, and especially if you're
in a relationship, it is something you need to think about.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
When you're in a relationship, you gotta have I think
you should have, you know, those vulnerable conversations. You gotta
you gotta talk, you know about all that kind of stuff.
And I'm sure there are a lot of people that
do do that. But yeah, that's a that's a that's
a tough one. And I hated for him because it's
probably something that could have really helped them if had

(37:10):
they done marriage counseling.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Now he didn't say if they did that or not.
It ain't none of my business.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
But I'm just saying, you know what I'm saying, Sometimes
it's better to know ahead of time than you know
it hits you in a face like that when when
you're in a bye or in a crunch.

Speaker 14 (37:24):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Steve Sidney, Hey, mister Sidney. He says congratulations to Tracy,
but they from Steve and Angela Sidney. She's doing a
great job. A ward well deserved plus Stormy as always.
Great job you do every day. Hey hey, hey chiw
bella ah, you're gonna make Jackson stand up?

Speaker 3 (37:44):
W D I A hello. How you doing, I'm doing.
Good by Cahna, good evening to you.

Speaker 8 (37:54):
I'm doing absolutely loved. I heard mister mister Khan. He
was talking about he was playing in a band and
all of that, but I figured he probably was maybe
playing drums on a garbage can top, probably playing on
with a washing Also he's probably blowing up piccolo or

(38:17):
something or whatever it was called black Corn drug band called.
You're probably blowing in drugs, making music and all.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
That good stuff.

Speaker 8 (38:30):
And no, let's get the serious matters.

Speaker 5 (38:35):
Now.

Speaker 8 (38:37):
I've been you know, I used to work for Shepp
kind of schools. Actually I retired from there. But I've
never I've never heard a situation like this. It's got
to be corruption there due to the fact that if
you are suing a company, you are suing this company,

(38:57):
then you're gonna turn right around.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
And temporarily, temporarily, temporarily matter.

Speaker 8 (39:05):
I don't care if it's temporary or for one second,
if I'm doing something some entity or whatever that translate
that I don't want no parts of them under any circumstance.
Makes no sense to me. Stormy, something is seriously wrong
with that school boy. And people can have their opinion

(39:26):
either way, no, yes, whatever, don't matter. So my personal
opinion something is seriously wrong. And remember, folks, the place
to be is with Stormy t the experience ten seventy.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
W d IA, Thank you very much, Thank you, Big Huda. Hey, listen,
we're gonna take a break. We will come back and
get the get the app tappers got Michael Clyde and
Lady d waiting.

Speaker 3 (39:54):
We're coming back to get you guys.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Not on one five three five nine three four two
eight hundred and five zero three nine three four two
eight three three five three five nine three four two
And I'm.

Speaker 3 (40:03):
I'm gonna give you another Gladys favorite of mine.

Speaker 1 (40:06):
I don't know what they were fighting about, but maybe
if they were listening to Gladys Knight, that fight wouldn't
have gone down outside of Barack and Michelle Obama's house.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Did y'all here the the uh the call that came
through to the supervisor. This is this is the call.
This is one of them. I did not know see
I thought it was two men out there fighting. Come
to find out it was two women.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
So one of them, you know they I guess they
got on the you know, the whatever it is, the
CB ready, whatever it was, to just you know, let
them know, y'all.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
This is what she said. Listen to this and what
she said.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
And somebody came out and broke them up outside of
Baraka Michelle's house. What in the world could they have
been fighting for?

Speaker 17 (40:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
W D I A hello, don't be fighting everybody?

Speaker 9 (41:06):
Everybody agredge that are popular breaks. Look with that couple,
then lady, if she's on bed rid, she is, she's
been very ungrateful. You know, it ain't nothing, Lady Dean.
Don't mind a man spending money, but when you're in
a certain situation, people because she don't work, you know,

(41:26):
she can't work, and then she might be depressed, which
not might she on bed ris She ain't making the money,
she's not working. You know that's how some people storm
and deal with that depression, depress you more, but it's
just to press you more. And then even with your

(41:48):
loved ones, what's up, lad Pete, No matter how your
loved one, you took from you, it's still death. The
ones that we know, you know, eventually if you air
the person, we be looking for them to pass after
so long. But when you just just like the people

(42:08):
that's dining in jail, they go to jail, but you
don't expect for him to die. But Lady P, it's
like this here some people you have to send a
message to a baby. And when he called me saying
he was in jail, that was the best place. Again,
Lady P, I know it might sound harsh to you,

(42:29):
but guess what, he haven't been back to jail. When
he called me strong ideas, I was the ball along
and I'm like, whoa, what is he doing after this time?
You know, calling me? He said, well, I'm in jail,
he said, I'm in jail. I said in jail. I said,
oh baby, that's the best place for you. I said,

(42:51):
they gonna let you out and you got to have
some money. This tool would disappear. He didn't go to
jailt on it because of a no fault of his own.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
Lady Dac is here.

Speaker 9 (43:03):
If it's a no fault of your own, I go
to Bence for you. But if you've been worne, you've
been for a woman. Stay off of Winchester, though the
problems have been there. If you don't stay off of there,
you gonna wind up in trouble again. Lady P. When
he called me baby, I'm sleep that's the best place

(43:26):
for you. And like right now, Lady P, if don't
nobody turn whoever took your baby away from you, unless
they got a conscious and they turn theyself in, you
not gonna find closer, baby, even though that's not gonna
bring your falling back. You want someone to turn they

(43:48):
self in. I could tarry you. Hurt me so bad,
I could feel your pain. But if don't nobody turn
that person in, even if somebody take your love one stormy,
if they don't have a conscience and turn theyself in.
Look at how many unstolved murders go all and believe

(44:10):
it or not, we.

Speaker 6 (44:12):
Contribute to it.

Speaker 9 (44:13):
Now, what if I got him out of jail? Now
I think he had been doing something else. I guess
what's throwing it every dime? I'm all down to He
worked for Chevy County Schools. It was Mississippi school. I said,
until you straight miss out money, lady, He said it is.

(44:36):
I said, it's gonna call ship, I said, but you
ain't never been in trouble. Go to jail again if
you don't listen. He ain't been back in trouble.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
No more, storm, no more.

Speaker 9 (44:49):
He ain't been back that way because I send him America.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
Got you, I said him, America, all right, all right,
thank you?

Speaker 8 (44:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
She sent him a message. She did w d I
a hello, Hello.

Speaker 19 (45:04):
Hello.

Speaker 6 (45:06):
The storm.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
I ain't no knowing how long they did. Don't talk.

Speaker 3 (45:12):
Now, you stop it, Clyde, Now you clowning.

Speaker 20 (45:15):
I think I went to the mail box, but the
god came up and came back.

Speaker 14 (45:19):
You still talk, lad. I ain't know so I went there,
so you.

Speaker 2 (45:33):
Know, I don't do that.

Speaker 14 (45:33):
I don't like that natural look.

Speaker 8 (45:35):
You know.

Speaker 14 (45:35):
I ain't went that natural look.

Speaker 8 (45:37):
No.

Speaker 14 (45:37):
I told her that they looked like like like come
back to the guy, back to bed and came to work.
I ain't with that.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
It depends on how it depends on how it is,
because everybody doesn't just get up with.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
It, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 14 (45:49):
I ain't never seen now that looked at the storm.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
You ain't never seen one that look good never.

Speaker 20 (45:55):
I ain't never seen nobody no natural looking look good.
So if I missed, I'm gonna take them out one
of my strings your house and get your health fick.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
So okay, did you did you see my picture on
w d I A's page.

Speaker 14 (46:09):
When when you up there with big holding them.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
Yeah, but you let your hair.

Speaker 14 (46:14):
I gave your hair down.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
I did, but it was natural. It's it's all. It's natural.

Speaker 20 (46:19):
See your natural and my natural some nothing that that
right there? This looks good right there, gonna getting her down.
When I'm talking about these folk with.

Speaker 14 (46:29):
Their hair look like like like is the national I mean,
oh my god, a lot of conda hit the head
or something.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
Well, they probably doing the best they can.

Speaker 20 (46:41):
Clyde, come on now, okay, whatever's snad then? So now
my big last night uh song is the best thing
ever happened to me.

Speaker 8 (46:53):
One.

Speaker 20 (46:54):
That's that's that's when my mom loves all the time.

Speaker 14 (46:59):
Now, I won't let the ladies no.

Speaker 20 (47:02):
When you call Stormy show talking about why me and
are hiding money from y'all, that's the reason why right there.
See when you get a one, they ain't they ain't
use the money, don't know.

Speaker 14 (47:17):
How to help the house out.

Speaker 20 (47:20):
See if I would do apple to stop on that
wherever she's getting that, whatever account she getting that money
out of, I go go to the bank and block
that m and tell him I don't know whose shopping
on line out the account, but that they didn't need
to be shut down none, just come out of the count.
See that that's wanna talk about right at that storm
see women that they don't preciate.

Speaker 14 (47:41):
A good man.

Speaker 20 (47:42):
And now you at the house, you can't say all women,
I'm speaking on the one that.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
Doused this that act like this.

Speaker 20 (47:52):
Then you be calling the Stormy show talking about he
gonna left you.

Speaker 14 (47:57):
And you pregnant. But look at the things you're doing. Now,
what doudey to do?

Speaker 20 (48:02):
Goes, She needs to go sit down the count down
and tell him, Hey, I just want to put a
block under the count. So can't no money come after
this the count because see all she's doing in landing
around the house and and and and bad stuff. And
she should be on the job working while she's bringing

(48:22):
she can't.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
She's on bed breast that well, she.

Speaker 20 (48:26):
She ain't on that bigger being rys of fangers on
the phone pinging all them calls thom.

Speaker 3 (48:32):
Yeah, she said that right there, And.

Speaker 20 (48:34):
Then you wonder while man may be talking about well, Stormy,
he had money from me. That's why you have to
check everything out before you get married and that mm
hm you gotta see how she spent her money, how
she paid her bills.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
What did you think about marriage counseling, Clyde? What do
you think about that?

Speaker 2 (48:58):
I ain't never been keen on it, accountain and stuff.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
Why because that's one of the topics that you talk
about when you do marriage counseling.

Speaker 14 (49:06):
I ain't you know, like, I just ain't never been
king king only right there.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
I feel like it.

Speaker 14 (49:11):
If I get what I get.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
Married, I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna treat my wife like
my dad and.

Speaker 20 (49:15):
Treating my mom m I did treating my mom like
a queen. I ain't never heard them odd or nothing.
And that's how I dot.

Speaker 2 (49:27):
I don't need no marri account to tell me what
because I ain't.

Speaker 20 (49:29):
Gonna do I ain't gonna do nothing wrong to piss
the off and make her mad. My job is I
have to have the wife happy life.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
I got your Clyde. Mm you take care of star
all right now?

Speaker 1 (49:44):
He ain't talking about Lady d about talk long as
she didn't. Okay, all right, I'll just messing with you.
Clyde African Consultants. Clyde like it Fried died and laid
to the side. Well, that's probably that sounds like about
how you like don laid to the sign w D
I A hello, Yeah, I was.

Speaker 7 (50:04):
We collide him until he said no marriage or no
badge content thing if both parties are are truly interested
in in solving an issue, and then wouldn't be open
and honest. I mean, counselor is a really good thing.
But for that, for that brother, I'll say this, that's

(50:25):
something that he needs to check now. But the bad
news is that's who she was when you married him.

Speaker 14 (50:32):
They didn't just start.

Speaker 7 (50:34):
She didn't just start that. That's that's the bad news.
We are who we are, you know. And if you
can't love something out of somebody loves something into somebody,
that person is who they're going to be.

Speaker 6 (50:48):
You know.

Speaker 7 (50:48):
We can grow, we can adapt, but we can evolve,
but essentially who you are and that ain't just start
with that now. But the eventually happens in that situation
is he's gonna end up with them her. I don't
care how fine she is, all you in it. I know,
I don't care how fine you are, how good looking
you are. Find a good looking come up there assembly
line every day in this city. I'm out number fourteen

(51:12):
to one. So the last thing a man will have
a hard time find me is a woman. And the
brother got no credit and if you so, no, no,
But he needs to say something to her because that
eventually causes the problem storm and it's underline and an
festers and it becomes a thing, you know, for people saying, well,

(51:35):
it's the man's y'all.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
Of course it's the man's y'all.

Speaker 7 (51:37):
But it's also the job of an adult to understand
that our budget was here, now our budget is here,
and I'm gonna continue doing this theme that adds.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Stress to my spouse.

Speaker 7 (51:50):
You know, I'm not gonna have any concern about how
it's impacted him.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
My concern is what I want. My concern is what
I want from everything my house.

Speaker 7 (51:59):
In taking him or her. So he needs to look
at that, because I'm telling you he's gonna start with
a anymore. And for all you said it's gonna make
them cheat, Ain't all of that? I mean, if you're
a cheating and cheating about you mater, people don't cheating
is not the problem. Typically, cheating is a symptom of
something else. So if you address to something else, you

(52:20):
don't have that problem. Same thing with gambling and cheeseburger
sits a hamburger bay. Uh. Briefly, the Lady D's point
where the going to jailing and people hear me talking
about my pots all the time.

Speaker 17 (52:33):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (52:34):
He had a saying, whether the chick comes, douce n
whatever you do that checks don't come. Do if you
go out to eat, you enjoy the ma'am yeah, okay,
pay it, so I do pay it. So if you
go out there and something happens, I agree with the
Lady D. You gotta pay the check.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
You have to pay the check.

Speaker 7 (52:55):
Ultimately, it always is because again he thinks, separates an
animal one we got thrown too free will. So you
can't get mad at the alligator of eating because that's
an interestinct, that's all. That's all they get to have.
But we we make a choice. Every day I held
my legal situation.

Speaker 14 (53:11):
I can hear my part in my ear chips.

Speaker 7 (53:13):
Do something. You got paid, and no point in crying
about in the corn and calling nobody.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 7 (53:18):
I didn't know you enjoyed the newle Michael, pay the check.

Speaker 3 (53:22):
Yeah mm hm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
All right, but that's all I have is som I appreciate.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
You, all right, Michael, thank you so much for calling in.
I appreciate you, sure do. Mm Angie said, good evening.
Clyde is telling the truth. Yes, what she said, she's
she said it. Now she shid it, Okay, Mister Curtis says,
they need to sit and talk about why she can't
stop spending until there's uh, their finances get better. Somebody

(53:50):
need to talk about it. Yeah, you gotta talk. You
got to have communication in a relationship. You ain't got
no communication, man, This is you said you gotta talk about.

Speaker 8 (53:59):
No.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
A lot of men don't like open up and shad
and all that stuff. But man, you got to talk.

Speaker 17 (54:04):
You do?

Speaker 3 (54:05):
You really do?

Speaker 1 (54:06):
Miss Anita says, my favorite song by Gladys Knight is
neither one of us want to be the first to
say goodbye.

Speaker 3 (54:14):
That's what she said.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
Uh, let's see go to this app and see what
y'all talking about, and then I'm coming back to the phones.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Hey, with the clavering temple thing, all you gotta do
is follow the paper trail, follow the money.

Speaker 3 (54:27):
Find out what black hands.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
Little black fingers nonprofit has control of that property, and
you will find out who's responsible.

Speaker 6 (54:37):
So there you have it. Have a great day, starm
on it.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
Okay, Now I don't know about that because.

Speaker 7 (54:45):
You know.

Speaker 1 (54:45):
And the reason I say that because people didn't know
that the woman who and I forget her role, but
she had something to do with the Clavering Temple.

Speaker 3 (54:54):
Her house.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
She she had a house, a house fire. Somebody somebody
set the house on fire just by two weeks before that.
So what's really going on? I'm gonna tell you that's
some prime real estate. You better you better know it.
Go down there and see for yourself. It's prime. I
ain't talking about d on sandals. It's prime. It's prime

(55:15):
real estate. Man' go see for yourself. W D I
A Hello, Hey there, how are you doing?

Speaker 7 (55:23):
All right?

Speaker 2 (55:23):
What's that?

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Not much?

Speaker 14 (55:26):
I agree?

Speaker 2 (55:27):
I agree with big bigger honer you know on uh
this just board education. These people it's like if.

Speaker 21 (55:35):
You got a contract with somebody that you're sewing the
same money you're paying him for a new contract.

Speaker 7 (55:41):
They're just taking it back.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
So it's like you're sewing yourself right.

Speaker 3 (55:44):
Well, maybe it's interesting. It's interesting, I will say that,
but I think I ain't.

Speaker 14 (55:54):
Never heard nobody do nothing like that.

Speaker 7 (55:56):
Just like this maya.

Speaker 14 (55:57):
You come in and get the same uh and.

Speaker 21 (56:00):
Straightening that the poem may had. And these people don't
sue somebody. And now you're gonna keep on getting the contract.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Well, that don't make no sense to the money you
paying that, I mean they paying you for the contract
you're gonna try to I mean they're gonna turn around
and they pay you right back with the money you're getting.

Speaker 20 (56:14):
That that don't make no sense.

Speaker 14 (56:17):
And now on claver Clave.

Speaker 22 (56:18):
Home down there, uh, I mean uh not claver Home
Church down here.

Speaker 15 (56:24):
Uh.

Speaker 21 (56:25):
The these people, now I'm gonna say this now. I
started this one time on uh informed Sauces with representative
as Antonio Parson and Cherry Road and former county commission
and they had an uproar on there about nature and
better far at statue being moved out of the church,
I mean a health science park. And when Antonio Apartment

(56:47):
got to talking to him, that man was red in
the play.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
You could see that blood and in this pace he
was hot.

Speaker 21 (56:52):
And I think they've been had then for to destroy
something of our nature as for as us our history
just to get back up because we moved that body
come down there for sign far and about that, Yeah, yeah,
that's what That's what I think is going on with that.

Speaker 14 (57:08):
See and by this man and this woman.

Speaker 21 (57:12):
Instead of him getting a marriage council, he needed to
get a financial counsel. And she if she uh spending
money like that and she bed rent or whatever, if
you don't have a mental condition, if you do have
mental conditions, he need to take control of that and
stop that spending like that because the hardest time is now.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
You don't go on waste some money like this.

Speaker 21 (57:30):
I don't care what you got, you know what I'm saying,
if you got clothes and whatever you got, or unless
she expecting to leave and she's gonna get much she can, but.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
That that just don't make no sense of ways money
like this to.

Speaker 21 (57:39):
What we're gonna do now as a people, everything going
upon us. They couldn't out all the benefits, you know,
So what she gonna do when she had to go
to a hospital, ain't got no medicare of medicaid. She's
gonna be to spend all the money. It don't make
no siple people to do this dumb stuff. You know
what I'm saying, ignorant and that's what you need. You
need to get found order like class. See cut that

(58:03):
bank account out. She won't get no.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
I got you on this.

Speaker 1 (58:09):
I rest my case, all right, thank you for resting
your Okay, thank you for checking in. African consultants says.
Even if uh he earns more money, she's going to
spend more money. You got to budget your money. A
fool and his money will soon depart.

Speaker 3 (58:28):
M m hmmmm.

Speaker 23 (58:31):
And Lord Stormy, thank you for each and every I
patitas how you're doing today. I just want to say
honor all live veterans on Memorning Day and also our
personal people that have passed away and stick give them honor.
But freedom should be free because it's something of our
God given and you know the rest we should have.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
But it's bad.

Speaker 23 (58:47):
We have to fight for it because of the forces
that have taken over and massacred and everything else.

Speaker 3 (58:52):
Thank you, m M.

Speaker 24 (58:56):
My most favorite song from Gladys Knight is best thing
ever happened to me, and she know who she is.
Thank you very very much.

Speaker 25 (59:08):
I know that's right.

Speaker 1 (59:10):
Okay, we're gonna take a break. We're gonna come back
and talk to you. K Joyce mster b. Common man,
y'all hold on. We'll be back in a moment. Common
Man out the gate. And we we gotta care about
our We do care about our community. We can't put
everything on everybody.

Speaker 8 (59:26):
You know.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
We always stay with the church ought to do this.
We always say the mayor ought to do this. We
say things like that. But when we we okay, we
live here too, we gotta do something body two o one, Poplar,
Come on now, y'all know what. We got to do
something about? Another death at two oh one. Mmm mmmmm.

(59:51):
Another one of my favorites from Gladys Knights. That's one
right here, you know. But I've wondered because Gladys is still,
you know, performing in her eighties, why she's still on
the road like that?

Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
You know, James Brown was on the road like that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
A lot of celebrities were on the road, you know
when when you know, in their older age, and some
of them probably just loved to do it. This is
what they called Jane Brown the hardest working man in
show business. That's because he was touring and what and
I believe they called Frankie, Beverly and Mays too because
they were on the road almost every night of the year.

(01:00:24):
You got to be bad you and I don't mean
bad in a bad way, but you got to be
real good at what you do for people to want.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
You like that that you are booked every night of
the year. Hm hmm. I'm trying to tell you you're special.
W D I A Hello, Sing it, common man, sing it?

Speaker 6 (01:00:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
I love that glass.

Speaker 6 (01:00:52):
I love that glasses. I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
Happy Birthday, Gladys night. Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh uh.

Speaker 22 (01:01:00):
I pretty much agree with just about everybody that has
come in it. On the on the couple today, Lady
d Clyde, Jennifer, she gave a great come in and
you know myself. Now she's pregnant and she's off because
of the pregnancy, right, but she has a bad spending habit.

(01:01:20):
I think that if he's providing and taking care of
the home, she should learn to learn to appreciate that.
You know, I think sometimes we become too greedy or
whatever and don't appreciate what the person is doing.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
You think maybe that because of what she's going through,
that could be what it is.

Speaker 22 (01:01:41):
Probably not, because like I think Michael said earlier. She's
probably something she's been doing all the time. But but
it probably was okay because she was contributing herself of
her own money as well.

Speaker 14 (01:01:54):
So if you know, everything'll probably okay.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
You But now if it's just it isn't colm, he's
maintained in the.

Speaker 22 (01:02:00):
House and the bills and stuff. You know, he's up
a little bit. You know, he's up a little bit.
And and and just be a little patient and you'll
get back to your normal self, your normal habits and stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Spending your own money or whatnot, you know, and uh,
everything to be all right. Don't be so selfish, you know,
And like I said, learn to appreciate what the person
is doing and.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Is providing, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
And now that the baby's coming, some of that money
got to go towards the baby, to work.

Speaker 22 (01:02:28):
For her the baby, you know, so she she might
need to lighten up a little bit because you know,
certainly the baby got to get it's underwritten.

Speaker 3 (01:02:38):
The baby got to get some of that money.

Speaker 6 (01:02:40):
That's just the way it is, you know.

Speaker 8 (01:02:42):
But yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (01:02:44):
Agree with just about everybody today.

Speaker 14 (01:02:46):
And Mama she need to she need to give him
a break.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
He's taking care of the business. So give him a break,
don't kill him. If you kill him, then what you're
gonna do you're working to death, you know.

Speaker 14 (01:02:57):
So you know that's that's what I think.

Speaker 3 (01:02:59):
Uh, storming, all right, coming man, I got.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
You all right, Appreciate you, kidd all right, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
Thank you coming man, Appreciate you.

Speaker 7 (01:03:08):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
Let me see mister George said, house on fire first,
then the church.

Speaker 16 (01:03:13):
Hmm.

Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
That's what I was saying when I saw that story.
One of the newspapers did it. It was Daily, Mmphian
or Commercial. One of them did the story about it,
And I'm like, you got to be kidding me.

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
What in the world? Yeah, man, yeah, mister George.

Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
It's Curtis says. I also think that can be an
addiction like the casino. Yeah, shopping can definitely be an
addiction like anything else. You got to be careful, you
know what I'm saying. Now, if she gave him or
if he gave up five thousand dollars and said baby,

(01:03:52):
go while out, you know, that's different. But if he
didn't do that, you know what I'm saying. Let me
let me go to this app I'm coming to. You
can hold on for me here we go back to
this app real quick, hey, storing me?

Speaker 7 (01:04:08):
What's up?

Speaker 13 (01:04:09):
How y'all doing?

Speaker 14 (01:04:10):
W D I A listeners, what's up?

Speaker 7 (01:04:12):
This he man from the A town?

Speaker 15 (01:04:14):
But no, I sound like he needs to open up
another account and uh without her knowing it and then
just let it run out and say, well, that's what
I meant, because you're making us broke.

Speaker 7 (01:04:28):
All right, y'all have a good one.

Speaker 14 (01:04:30):
Ten seventy w E d I lady man.

Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
Oh that's what that's a man right there, y'all. Here's
another one. I've had my share.

Speaker 19 (01:04:39):
Hey, good life's up sending down? Yeah, it's been time.
The dins have been through you. I guess you could say.

Speaker 3 (01:04:52):
That I've been re lucky.

Speaker 26 (01:04:55):
Yeah, I catch you could say, but it's up because
of you. That's my favorite, Stormy, Thank you, Ms Kosher Stormy.

Speaker 25 (01:05:08):
No, I know Clyde Tilder wasn't on there talking about
how long no better than town? Clyde Tilder head three
fingers pointing back in him. Really, Clyde Tilder, Stormy, No,
they no have a good way. Clyde Tender put them

(01:05:29):
three fingers back.

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
In front of you, Okay, Miss Jennifer wants to give
a shout out to some friends, Virgil Story and his
wife Andrea. And then she says she wants to give
a shout out to her man, her husband, because they
lost everything, but he promised if she gave him time,
he'll make up for that, and he did that. She said,

(01:05:52):
from three bedroom, it's two bath house to a four bedroom,
three bath house. Says she's not bragging, just blessed and
highly appreciate of her husband. Charles Johnson, I'm on here,
m her man, her man, her man.

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
W D I A hello, How you doing? Hekay you doing?

Speaker 6 (01:06:16):
I'm holding on from the old woman.

Speaker 17 (01:06:17):
Don't nobody care what old woman had to say. But
j my daddy always said, a man is supposed to
be the man of his own household. And if a
woman's making any money, that's her money. And so it
might have that may have been her primary investment, and
she may be spending the money. I got a friend,
She'll always say this, I'm riding in the back seat,
the one in the front seat, the one I'm paying, I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:06:39):
Riding in the back seat.

Speaker 17 (01:06:41):
So just maybe she's spending her own money.

Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
But I really call her was well, he said that
she was spending her she spent all her money.

Speaker 3 (01:06:48):
Basically, she now she's feel.

Speaker 17 (01:06:51):
Like, oh and she feels like now that she's spending
the interest of what he had already spent.

Speaker 6 (01:06:56):
That's what I could think.

Speaker 17 (01:06:58):
Oh, in such a mood, you know, but what a
man and a woman do between them is really they're
being his am. But I just say, ain't no better
story like one that the madters was talking that. But
long story short, Booster Place. I didn't like Booster Place
when when Oprah took the town to see her brother
who was inconcrated. For every inconcrated in individual, they don't

(01:07:20):
mean they gonna always be that way, you know. So
it's called sacrifice. You know, we all didn't know that
Chae Tan got them there in the first place. Okay,
so somebody got to encourage the devil, but somebody got
to encourage them to come back this way.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
So if it goes down with the mother, who else
gonna give a dinner?

Speaker 17 (01:07:43):
Sat I got two of my sons said all the time,
you can do what's want to do, but I promise
you it's won't come.

Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
Back on you if it's wrong.

Speaker 17 (01:07:49):
It's called comedic. Yeah, So I've had two of them
who've been in concentrated for a long time, and both
of them got earned the jobs right now, So it
don't mean always want to be there where, you see
what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
And they learned something of the traders when they were
like that.

Speaker 6 (01:08:04):
One of them up their house were you you know,
and the other one was with barbarn you.

Speaker 17 (01:08:09):
Know what, and and Floyd just doing things. So I'm
not with every mother who put down on orbit every unt.
I thank god man didn't come and ask me for
I'm noway. But my father took it upon himself to
make sure that they had somebody they could call home.

Speaker 8 (01:08:26):
You know.

Speaker 17 (01:08:26):
He got to turn in form or whatever when they got.

Speaker 7 (01:08:28):
Caught up in a crisis.

Speaker 17 (01:08:30):
And see that's the whole thing about it's called in tramping. Okay,
So William Lynch telling that moment to tell that young
child or not good but during about having to go
through the system, because when you teach them to fear
and don't fear God, who they gonna go back to now?
For hamm them.

Speaker 13 (01:08:46):
So I'm gonna be a good picking.

Speaker 17 (01:08:47):
In and hang up.

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
Okay, all right, thank you, Kay, appreciate you calling in.

Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
Thank you for that. W D I A hello.

Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
There Bo, this is choice.

Speaker 11 (01:09:00):
I was calling U primarily about the email I guess
about the couple. Yes, I think that I agree with
most of what everyone has said. But I think that
he should seek uh counseling financial and marital, which that

(01:09:25):
should have been what was discussing the premarital counseling. But
some people like you say, don't believe in counsels and
will not will not opt to take it ill there
are some minutes who won't marry you if you haven't
taken it. But I think that he should talk to
her and after talking to her, making her aware of

(01:09:48):
their situation, if she still continues to spend, then close
the account. Closing the account or freeze the money or whatever,
try to get her to understand that, you know, we're
working on one income now and the previous lady maybe

(01:10:11):
she was spending her money, or maybe some of her
money is tied up in the savings.

Speaker 7 (01:10:16):
But you don't know.

Speaker 9 (01:10:18):
When you are on bed rest, something.

Speaker 11 (01:10:20):
That happened with the baby that could go wrong, and
the baby need a lot of medical attention.

Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Right, you're gonna need some. Yeah, then you'll definitely be
need money, and your.

Speaker 11 (01:10:31):
System could go wrong with his system, So I think
she needs to get a life. I agree with him.
That is pure selfishness, because if he's providing.

Speaker 9 (01:10:42):
Food and shelter right now while you're down.

Speaker 7 (01:10:46):
Or maybe if she can live on the telephone, maybe
she can get her remote job.

Speaker 9 (01:10:52):
Entering the phone with some business.

Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
Maybe maybe you.

Speaker 11 (01:10:57):
Know, maybe she canna do that and that would help
out old. Or if she's got to stay down for
a while after the baby is born, maybe her.

Speaker 9 (01:11:05):
Come in and let her come back remotely.

Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
Yeah, thank you, miss Joyce. I appreciate you.

Speaker 14 (01:11:10):
Boy.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
All right, right by bye bye.

Speaker 3 (01:11:14):
W d I A hello, hello.

Speaker 16 (01:11:17):
Stony Hey there, okay, on the subject line of Gladys Knight,
one of her good books. One of her works by
Claudine was the soundtrack Claudine, written by Curtis snake Head.

Speaker 6 (01:11:33):
That was one of her best works too.

Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
Yeah, all right, thank you, thank you, miss Herma. All right,

You know what I'm gonna do with it. Gonna go
to the post office, get one hundred dollars money off,
and I'm gonna make it out to myself and at

(01:12:34):
the bottom I'm gonna put fun building for Clayborn Temple
and take it to the mail office give it to him.

Speaker 1 (01:12:44):
Well, if you make it out to yourself, the mayor
ain't gonna be able to cash it.

Speaker 6 (01:12:49):
Darland, he ain't gonna be It's gonna be a building
on Clayborne Temple. Now if I have to, I will
sign at the back of it. And for him to
do that. Let us rebuild play On temporary. It's on us.
Don't wait until somebody else coming down. They would dud

(01:13:12):
down and put something use there and then we start
crying about it. We have an opportunity here to do
something good for our community, as you just said a
few minutes ago. Yeah, so why don't we get together
and raise Playground Temple back. That'll be something for us

(01:13:32):
to do. And show some unity. Yeah, we can have
a fun raising and do this. We can do this. Money,
money don't stop it your front door. If a few
