it before from my job before he told me. But
he said, And I might have just called a check
on him because I know he's a big Michael Jackson fan.
Michael Jackson passed away this day, sixteen years ago. Do

you remember where you were? I think there are moments
in our lives when we remember a lot of people
remember where they were when Doctor King died or they
got the news. A lot of people remember where they
were when Prince died. A lot of people remember where
they were when Whitney Houston died. You know, there's you know,

those pivotal moments in life. You know, like nine to eleven,
A lot of us remember where we were when that happened.
You know, a lot of people still remember where they
were when Elvis Presley died or they got the news,
you know what I'm saying. So there are those celebrities,
or it might not even be a big name celebrity,

but it's somebody that you loved and you remember when
that person left this earth. And today is the day,
sixteenth anniversary of the passing of Mychael Jackson. And y'all
remember that MTV they weren't really playing any black videos

until Michael Jackson came along, changed the game, turned it
upside down. Yeah he did. And I'm gonna tell you
every time Michael had one of those long videos to
come out and they let us know when it was
on debut, I was right in front of the TV,
like I'm sure some of you were. Now, I don't know,
some of you may not have been Michael Jackson fans,
but I know I was okay and am still today

sixteen years ago today that Michael Jackson left this earth.
And that brings me to this because a couple people
hit me up and they wanted me to send some
shout outs and condolences to the family of a Memphis
icon in the motorcycle race world, Alphonsa Henderson, also known

as Big Hubba Bubba. Yeah, who sent me that? Terry Douglas,
Thoughts and prayers with your family and the Pound for
Pound family. Yeah wow. And I saw condolences to him

on social media as well. And y'all know Mark Goodfellow
with you remember the commercial It's All Good Mark Fellow
right here in Memphis. He made a post on social
media today the just I was like, oh my goodness,
his daughter. He said, he lost his daughter, his first born,
his baby girl. There's no pain like this. It's a

grief that sits in your chest and doesn't move. So
sending thoughts and prayers out to Mark Goodfellow too. I mean, yeah,
a lot going on, isn't it. H Yeah, a lot
a lot when I think about locally what's happened. I

was hearing people talking about it this morning, and even
just you know, thinking about that young man that the
absince young man that had the tape and the rope
and all this stuff and said he just wanted to
have a conversation with the mayor. I'm confused because I
saw his uncle on TV and y'all probably saw his

The mayor Paul Yong comes from a Christian family. His
mother passed the church, his father and I the friends.
I managed that the church is one time and I
will say to him, remember the vile and forgive him.

The judge wasn't playing. She raised his bond. I believe
it's at two million right now. She raised it. What's
equally troubling is that, upon investigation, detective located in the

defendant's storage locker a list of names of five elected
or appointed officials, including spouse's names and names of their children.

gonna do, but I if it were me. But I'm

wants to have a conversation with him. But I'm gonna

think I'm a forgiving person. I think I'm resilient when
it comes to falling down. I picked myself back up

pretty quick, and I usually forgive people pretty quickly. I
don't hold on to it forever. And there are times
when I have held on to stuff and you know,
I've had to have a talk with God and that said, God,
You're going to help me release this. You know what
I'm saying, You going to help me with this. But
I'm pretty resilient. I'm a forgiving person. But you know,

because a lot of people think that just because you
forgive somebody that you need to go back into that situation.
Just because I forgave you, don't mean we're gonna be boys.
Don't mean we're gonna be you know, hollering at each
other no more. You know what I'm saying. I've been
in some relationships where I have forgiven the person, released

them of the dead they owe me or whatever dead
I thought they owed me. And I'm gonna tell you something.
I hollered with you. I'll let you at you. You
know what I'm saying because I no I now, I
ain't speaking for Mayor Paul Young. I'm not trying to
do that, but I'm gonna tell you it was me.
I would forgive you, release you and let you go.

And Mayor Paul Young ain't got nothing to do with
him being in jail. You do, when you do the crime,
you gotta do the time. You gotta do it, especially
in that case, because if that young man doesn't go
to jail, doesn't he's in jail now. But if he
doesn't and and somebody intervenes, he ends up. Man who
you think they gonna line up? Somebody gonna be next?

The man already told you, Mayor. Mayor Paul Young already
said that he's been getting death threats him and his
wife Muld. I couldn't do it. I mean I I
you know, I'm mister absent. I pray that he, you know,
gets the help that he needs, whatever it is. But

I wouldn't be able to do it. But like I said,
I'm not Mayor Paul Young you know what I saw.
I saw something on social media and I just want
to ask, for those people that are die hard Republicans,
why is it that at least the ones we hear from,

there are some that do call this station. Why is
it that you can't call a spade a spade when
the spade is wrong? You know what I'm saying. Why
is it something in the and and let me this
for I guess anybody who because I know we we
as you know a lot of folks that are Democrats,

you know, speak up when when they see Democratic leaders
doing wrong, and sometimes you don't see a lot of
people speak up when they see Republican leaders wrong that
are wrong. But can you say that he was wrong?
I mean, can you do like Candace Owens? Because we
know Candace was a big she was her Nay she was,
but she got some things to say about Donald Trump

I mean, that was truly, in my opinion, the most
inhuman thing he's ever tweeted.

we know, we know, But she got criticism. And I
don't understand why people can't if somebody is wrong, why
can't you just call a spade a spade and just
say it? Do you know what I'm saying? Can't just
gonna say it? But Donald Trump? Or could you say
a way that you would end up perhaps voting for him?
You can't run again, obviously, but would you support him publicly? Again?

Donald Trump above Kamala. I think he was the better candidate,

Joe Biden. But what I will say is that he's
been a chronic disappointment and I feel embarrassed that I
told people to go vote for him because this wasn't
going to happen.
