Speaker 1 (00:00):
Was everybody that I am live and on this radio today,
not working from them streets. Huh huh uh uh. I'm
not working from them streets.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Honey.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
I'm in here live you hear me, and welcome, Welcome.
Won't you come? Won't you come? And tell your neighbors
to come as well. Come on, come on in here? Yeh,
Miss Woods, you come on in too. Hey. Everybody. Everybody's
doing okay. I hope you had a great week last week,
and I hope that your day is going well. It
is a National Chocolate Day, so the only chocolate here
(00:37):
I know is Philip Ashley out of Memphis. And y'all,
if you're a chocolate here, let me say this to you,
God bless you because chocolate is one of those things
that I don't know men do y'all like chocolate as
much as women do? Because I don't tell you. I
love me some chocolate something about it. I don't know
(01:00):
what it is, but chocolate is so good. Imagine having
a chocolate allergy. People that have allergies, you know, they're
allergic to chocolate or whatever the is in it, and
they can't eat it. M you're missing out, You really are?
You really are, but anyway, welcome. I was, I'm gonna
(01:20):
let me see transparent moment. I was out of town.
I was working from them streets last week, and I know,
I know, I was wondering too. I got an email
here today. I got this email from Young August. Hey,
Young August, how you doing girl? So she was curious
about something, and so was I. She emailed me and
(01:42):
she said, I just hollered. It's what she said. I
just hollered. When I heard little Daddy this morning, I
was like, he must have called last week and didn't
realize that those were recordings. How you get put in
the sinkhole on your week off? Hilarious, Young August, It's
not funny. Let me tell you right now. I'm heartbroken again.
(02:09):
I thought we were doing good. I thought we were
doing good. We had a great conversation the week before,
and then I heard him talking to stand through and I, well,
see now, that's why I didn't want to get put
in anywhere else. I wanted to stay in the sink
hole because I knew, with to no fault of my own,
(02:30):
at some point i'd get put back down there. And
I got put off all my day off. It's just
like Friday. You've seen the movie Friday where Craig's friend,
what did Chris Tuckers caric what was his name, Smokey.
Smokey got fired on his day No, No, Craig got
fired on his day off. Yeah, I got putt in
the sink hole on my day off while I was
(02:52):
working in them streets. I really wasn't in the streets though,
And I know, I know, I said I was working
from home, but I was actually working for I was
working from home, my daughter's home. And I'm telling you
that flooding that happened in Texas, it actually happened while
I was in Texas. I wasn't far from there, and
(03:13):
hearing about that, my man mentioned it to me, and
I was like, Babe, we don't want no bad news,
you know. You know what was that the weird don't
know about to bring me no bad news. That's how
it was. I was like, I don't want no bad news.
But anyway, come to find out that bad news was
the news that everybody would be talking about, because we
(03:34):
we were talking about it on July fourth, is the news.
It hit all over the country, but it definitely hit
in Texas. Like I said, because we were in not
far from where it happened. And to hear that story
just devastating, you guys, and then to see the devastation
down there, and what is it have y'all been keeping up?
(03:55):
Over seventy something people that have lost their lives. It's
a lot of people. And then I saw where CNN
was talking about Camp Mystic and they were talking about
the all girls summer camp along the Guadalupe River. Was
confirmed that at least twenty seven campers and councilors died
(04:20):
in the devastating floods that hit the Texas camp. Just
heartbreaking to hear something like that. It's heartbreaking. And I
don't care what side of the aisle you sit on,
all of us should be devastated. That's my opinion. Now
you might have a different opinion, but that is my opinion.
(04:43):
So I was disappointed when I heard the young woman
Shade Perkins, the former Houston City Board official appointed by
a Democrat. She sparked outraged because of her comments, and
I'm still trying to figure out why she thought it
(05:05):
was necessary to post this. And she knew listen to her,
she knew what was going to happen. So she would
should listen at her.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
I know I'm probably gonna get canceled for this, but
Camp Mystic is a white's only girls Christian camp.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Who cares? Who cares? Who cares? What if it was
a black only school and it was all black kids.
Who cares?
Speaker 3 (05:35):
They don't even have a token Asian, They don't have
a token black person. It is a all white, white
only conservative Christian camp. If you ain't white, you ain't right,
You ain't getting in, you ain't going period.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Who cares? Anyway, she lost her job. I stand was
talking about her this morning. I just I heard him
talk about it, but then I heard her say what
she said. I was like you sometimes it just you know, imagine,
imagine if you had friends and your friends were white
(06:13):
and their child was there, would you say that? What
if one of those children was your god daughter? Would
you would you say that? Why? What's happened to us?
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Man?
Speaker 1 (06:28):
What is what has happened to us? That we are
just okay with posting anything on social media, that we
are just okay with saying anything, that we just don't
have no feelings no more. And when I say we,
I mean all of us. It's not just you know her.
It's just a lot of people. That's how they we.
That's how people are now. I'm watching stuff on social
media and I do it mainly because of my job.
(06:50):
If I didn't have to do this job, man, I
wouldn't do it. We wouldn't have a social media account.
I wouldn't do it because people are sh Let me
see a card short of a dick, do I say it?
Speaker 5 (07:09):
Right?
Speaker 6 (07:11):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Let's see the elevated on go all the way to
the top. Which what else we got? I'm gonna leave
it at that. One of the good stories of while
I was gone last week that I saw was Little Brandon.
Did y'all see little Brandon? Ten years ten years of age?
Little Brandon? Did you see him? He saved the day
Orange Mound. They didn't have anything for the kids, the
(07:33):
water slide or what the water park was hunted in
the city of Memphis, and even even Mayor Young saying
he wanted to meet young Brandon because Fox thirteen to
the story with young Brandon and so young Brandon said,
I'm a hero, That's what he said. That was the
best story that I saw last week. I'm not I
(07:55):
kitch you not it blessed me, so listen to this.
But they did save the day today, Okay, and now
I want to see he said, I really did save
the day of the day. That's what he said. Let
me dream get but he did save the day today.
That made me feel so good. It really did you know?
To hear ten year old Braiden is his name, not Brandon,
(08:17):
I'm sorry. Braiden is his name. He was disappointed when
his neighborhood splash pad closed for maintenance. After you know
the report the Fox thirteenth of the story, the city
of Memphis came through and installed a temporary inflatable water slide.
Did you see the smiles on those kids' faces. I'm
gonna tell you something. It don't take much. It don't
(08:38):
take much. I was reading a story about a mayor.
I can't remember what town he was in. Let me
see if I can find that story. Young mayor. He
decided that he was gonna in his city, that he
was going to start a lot of things for young folks.
And the crime is down sixty two percent in his city, black,
young black mayor. Yeah, crime is down because these kids,
(09:03):
some of them, some of them. All they need is
just something to do, you know what I'm saying, someplace
to go. I remember when I was a kid and
we had a park in our town where everybody would
go on, you know, in the summers. They would do
swimming lessons and all that kind of stuff and we
would go up there, and I'm gonna tell you it
blessed us. So it kept us out of trouble. It
(09:27):
was like when you give kids, young people something to do,
you know what I'm saying. And I know parenting has
a lot to do with all that too, but I'm
to tell you them to tay these When you give
these kids something to do, it did a bless them.
It will Who went to essence Fest? If you went
to Essence Fest, tell me about your experience, because a
lot of people are saying that this year's essence Fest
(09:49):
wasn't as good. But then I've seen where a whole
lot of people said they had a ball, they had
so much fun. So I'm curious, did you go to
s Fest. Do you know somebody that went down there,
because I'm curious as to what your experience was if
you did go. Uh, Like I said, a lot of
folks said they had a really good time and they
(10:12):
ain't with it. They ain't with all the people. They're saying.
That essence wasn't all that in a bag of chips.
They said they had a ball. And who is this girl?
The former park commissioned treasurer M please is guilty to
embezzling public funds? Girl? No, she ain't one of us? Hey,
(10:34):
I y'all know how y'all like you want to know?
As soon as the story hit, I g y'all be like,
what she wanted us? You need you be praying, be like,
please don't let her want to be one of us.
Please don't let them be one of us. Please don't
let her. And then when you find out, you'd be like, whoa,
we dodged the bullet on that one. But it's a
lot of us out there doing some crazy stuff, y'all.
What is going odd? It's happening with people? What is happening?
(10:59):
I don't know, honestly, I don't. I'm trying to figure
it out too. I'm trying to figure it out too.
Y'all got to help me out. I do want to
ask y'all a question too. I see you guys on
hold y'all got these lines all up? Uh, there was
a question that I wanted to ask, But I'm I'm
trying to figure out where it is y'all shopping at
Dollar Tree. I just want to know because Jamal Brian
(11:21):
said we need to stop. There's a boycott going. So
I'm curious because the boycott for Target was supposed to
be over. I thought, are we still boycotting Target? And
I know we're supposed to be boycotting I heard McDonald's
and Dollar Tree. Just because Jamal Bryant is talking to
us about what you know, I played it for y'all before,
but he's been doing a lot of interviews and he's
(11:41):
been talking about it.
Speaker 6 (11:42):
I didn't know it. And when I tell your listens,
they're going to be blown away.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Dollar General has three times Dollar General for forgive me,
Dollar Tree, not you, not you, Dollar General and.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
More stores than Target and Walmart combined. They have twenty
one thousand stores when Target only has eight hundred.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
And did you hear Target is actually going to be
closing some stores? So when I saw that, I said,
where them stores at? We're the stores that they're gonna close.
I'm curious, where are those stores? Where are they? Question?
(12:26):
If you were on the you know, public transports or
somewhere in the street. I'm just curious if you were
and you saw somebody trying to abduct somebody, would you
step in and help out? Would you do it? Could
you be the hero for somebody today? Because I saw
the story in let me see It was a group
of subway writers. They beat a man who appeared to
(12:47):
grab a random woman on a subway. This happened in
New York. The man, Frederick Marshall, who's forty two, has
been charged with third degree assault and second degree harassment.
Girl told him no. He wouldn't take no full an answer.
So they saved the day and probably could have possibly
saved her life because a lot of people don't believe it,
but y'all, sex trafficking and human trafficking is real. It's real.
(13:16):
So could have saved that young girl's life. There's there's
a video all over. That one's a real one. There's
a lot of faith ones out there, but that one's
a real story right there. Yeah, could you be a captain?
You mean that song is I kis I would I
save her? I want to be saved? Could you be
a captain and save save the day for somebody that
(13:39):
you saw. If you saw somebody in trouble, would you
step in and help them? A lot of good Samaritans
have stepped in, some of them, you know, We've we've
heard stories about them over the years. But what you do?
Could you do? Do you think you would have the
(14:00):
courage to do something like that? I'm just curious. Hit
me up, let me know. Let me go to these
phones nine on one five three, five, nine three four
two eight hundred five zero three ninety three four two
eight three three five three five nine three four two.
I'm going to the phones, and you can tap that
app too and holler at me the iHeartRadio app while
you're listening to us on the iHeartRadio app. Tap that app.
Let me know, would you or could you be a capin?
Speaker 5 (14:23):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (14:24):
You know, this was the last thing I want to say,
This last thing I'm gona saying then when I'm going
to the phone. Jeffrey Epstein. Hmmm. The DJ the FBI
review ordered under Trump finds no Epstein client lists, and
they're confirming that he passed away in jail. Is Epstein dead?
(14:46):
You think it did? And where is the list We've
been told all these years there was a list. Now
poof is gone. Now I can't blame whoever burned that
thing up. I can't blame them, But where is it?
Where is it? We deserved as the American citizens, we
(15:09):
deserve to know who is on this list? Is he dead?
Do y'all think he's dead? And who.
Speaker 7 (15:18):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Y'all think the list is gone? Or somebody? Don't put
it up on the pillow somewhere or in a safe
deposit box. M A lot of talking Memphis too about
Elon Muskin. His x AI heard he bought something to
have shipped over here. But I'm hearing some good things
about it. So maybe we'll talk about that tomorrow. Let
(15:40):
me go to the Fox w D I a hello,
welcome back and.
Speaker 8 (15:45):
The word lady be work come back number one?
Speaker 6 (15:47):
Are you going?
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Thank you, Prince Charles. I'm so glad to be back,
I really am.
Speaker 8 (15:52):
It was good every morn hey, quickly, two things. Let
me say this A saw me how set afternoon for
my brother seen Sydney and beautiful life uh sweed Lady
p and my brother King Harry. No, it wasn't. Jackson
had a chance to talk to Jackson over the weeks.
Jackson does my guyn.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
I love Jackson?
Speaker 8 (16:14):
Yeah, hey real quickly I was step in. And the
reason why I got step in for someone trying to
doug someone like that, because I think about my sisters,
because even my daughter and I would want someone to
come in and try to protect even if it was
used for me. Yes, so it is real. There's a
(16:34):
movie that came out years ago on that brick, How
I Am All Girls, creates only truth then of young
girls at early ages as far as sixty seven years old,
shades say and sex trafficky. You have to be a
very low light in order to do something to a
child under age. But you got people that were doing
(16:57):
gross things secured them that was an eight years old
and this stuff, it's real. It's really human traffick people
for whatever reason. That means these people should be hanged
upside down and the city can't breathe anymore. So if
my condolences goes out to the fire department one of
their employees that was killed yesterday on the motorcycles, that's
(17:22):
I don't ride motorcycles for the state because of that.
I don't know if it was his part or an accident,
but let's be honest. Riding motorcycles here and the city
of Mensice. But I'm not talking about other places. But
here in the city of Mysic is completely dangerous. Now,
I will say that I've seen some stupid things people
do on motorcycles on the interstate, driving by so quick
and and zooming and its parishes like that. But uh,
(17:46):
in this in case, I want to send out my
condolences to that individual and his family in the fire department.
It's Showman, the lasting final thing. You made a statement
I'm trying to be You made a statement at the
beginning of your monologue. Can you repeat it one last time?
Because our comments trying.
Speaker 9 (18:01):
To write it down?
Speaker 1 (18:02):
What I say, I got I got it, I got it,
I got it.
Speaker 9 (18:06):
Saw me.
Speaker 8 (18:07):
I was told by the president of the thing called
King Ario, we got your boot with the reserve on it.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
We don't need to know.
Speaker 8 (18:15):
Are you coming back or not? I am, I doubt
you no, no, But are you going to stay this time? Well,
I'm according to him in the black House cabinet, you
he let you out and he was going to keep
you out. Now, this is what I want to ask
at people. He said he's never going to call your
(18:35):
show again. I have made a bet for an individual
or their calls the station, and I'm hoping that I
win within the next month or less than two months.
I think he's going to call your show. Do you
think he's going to call your show with the new period.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
I think he's going to call sooner than that.
Speaker 8 (18:50):
I'm gonna win the Batman because he always said that
when he gets upset with people essentially like you stand
abeath and he's never gonna call your show their show
ever get but he always ended up calling the show.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yeah, that's I'm hoping that I was that's my.
Speaker 8 (19:09):
Yeah, he thought our friends, but he's gonna for special vote.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
We're going to pass.
Speaker 8 (19:16):
I want I want you to have a beautiful, blessing,
safe and healthy day, and thank you for showing back up.
We really missed you.
Speaker 7 (19:23):
Thank for me, Yes for me.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (19:26):
This past Friday was one of your sponsors birthday and
Jane Washington a Washington Brothers sending out a belated birthday
shout out to him. Uh, Jane Washington, have a I
hope you had a beautiful related birthday. Sending out to
my brother.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Thank you, Prince Charles. Yes, James Washington, what's up James Washington,
Happy birthday to you. It's Edward Backus birthday today too,
mister beck Is, Happy birthday to you. W d I
a hello, Hello, call you there? Hello?
Speaker 10 (20:01):
Hmmm.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
I wonder who that is is. I don't know, but
I do have some people on. Hold y'all, hang on.
We're gonna come back and we're gonna talk on the way.
We're gonna take a break and we're gonna come back
and talk to you nin on one five three, five,
nine three four two eight hundred five zero three nine
three four two eight three three five three five nine
three four two. Those are the numbers to get at me.
(20:24):
We'll be back in a moment. I hope that you
are doing well. Thank y'all for keeping uh wd I
a on however you listen to us. Thank you for
man y'all got us looking real good. Y'all did it.
Y'all doing it y'all wee so thank you, thank you,
thank you, and thank you and thank you. I was
I was looking. I was reading a story over the holiday,
(20:45):
and I don't know about you. And if you, you know,
want to hit me up and let me know however
you want to do it, y'all, doing family reunions anymore?
Are y'all? Is there? Are y'all doing it? Because I
was looking at Larry Reid posted something on social media.
(21:05):
He's talking about there's somebody did a story on it.
I can't figure out who did the story, but there
was some black some black Instagram pages that were posting
this on social media, and they were talking about the
research that's been done y'all about family reunions. Did y'all
hear that black family reunions have declined by forty seven
(21:29):
percent since nineteen ninety seven? I believe it. I don't
think my family. I don't think we've had a family
reunion in quite some time, or rather my immediate family,
we haven't gone to a family reunion. Our family members
have been having them, but we haven't gone, not because
we don't want to go, but because some of them
(21:51):
we you know, when my father passed away, we didn't
keep in touch with his family like we should have.
So you know, we're not going to those family reunions like,
you know, like we were because because my daddy used
to do them. They would actually be at our house
years ago, but we stopped going. We haven't been. I
ain't been in no good fair I knew I want
to go back to a family reunion. I don't like this.
(22:13):
They say. The main reason is because the elders are
passing away, and there's all you won't believe this. There's
a lot of unresolved family issues. Oh mg, we got
to get together. That's why these kids don't know their relatives.
That's why. Don't be surprised for your kids if you
(22:34):
want of those people that don't go to family reunions
and don't hang around your family a lot, because we
have get togethers. We just don't have reunions. So we
do hang around our family members so our kids can
get to know their relatives. Because they eighties kids getting
to know their relatives, and sometime in a way you
don't want them to know their relatives. Mm hmmmm hmmm
h wd. I A hello, Hello, Hey, how you doing?
(23:01):
I'm doing good? Who was this?
Speaker 6 (23:04):
This is a big car?
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Honah, what's going on?
Speaker 11 (23:09):
I'm doing absolutely marveling? How you doing?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I'm doing?
Speaker 6 (23:14):
Last week the field to be back in the sink.
He got down the.
Speaker 11 (23:23):
Deep man, he couldn't wait to push you in there
this morning.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
And I heard, wasn't he trying to push me in
that last week too. Why I wasn't even when I
got pushed in the seahole all my day off. I
wasn't even here last week.
Speaker 11 (23:46):
That reminds me of time I got rolled up on
my job years ago and I wasn't.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Even at work at the time.
Speaker 7 (23:53):
They didn't make no sense to me what.
Speaker 6 (23:57):
You talking about them.
Speaker 11 (23:58):
I had some words for the folks that I don't
an't want to even think about no more.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness. Mum mm hmm. Well,
I'm gonna be all right. I'm gonna be all right.
Speaker 6 (24:11):
Yeah, it's just where it is.
Speaker 11 (24:13):
And the reason that I called in, you know, my
heart felt to the people in Texas.
Speaker 9 (24:17):
You know I'm saying when I'm.
Speaker 11 (24:19):
Moving to Colleen, and you know, it's just sad that happened,
you know, and people trying to place the blame of
whatever this next. My personal opinion is is whenever you
do massive cuts two different entities, you're going to have
(24:39):
mistakes like this because you haven't understand something.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
And it was a guy that was in Florida.
Speaker 11 (24:47):
He was a leadologist and he was talking about all
the cuts, whatever's happening, and he stated that we are
going to lose some lives due to the fact of
the cuts and and then transpire. And you have a
lot of people that's supporting Donald Trump. You can support whoever
you want them, but you got to look at the
(25:08):
reflection of the people that be willing to support this madness.
He's been chaotic from day one. He's continued to be chaotic.
He cares about nobody but himself, and my personal opinion
is he's mentally ill. And I just must say again
because I'm in with this and ebody who voted for
(25:31):
Donald Trump need to check up from the neck up.
Speaker 7 (25:35):
And the place to be it's.
Speaker 11 (25:37):
With Stormy tea experience in sirvent T, w D.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
I thank you very much, thank you, Big Cahon. I
appreciate you calling in w D. I A hello, hey, hey, hey,
lady d how you doing.
Speaker 10 (25:55):
I'm doing all right? Hello?
Speaker 9 (25:58):
No, well yo, you know what I believe?
Speaker 6 (26:00):
Home and she said, I be back now.
Speaker 10 (26:04):
And you got the two children that said, yeah, Mama,
he did this here, he did that there, and he
did here. I looked instead of the funny somebody you
broke the news to what Lady Peter, you said, Lady peace. Yeah,
(26:24):
up'na be on vacation next week.
Speaker 7 (26:27):
So now instead.
Speaker 10 (26:30):
Of them doing like young August, Hey, young August, see
your good listen. She understood, I said, and look everybody
that's realer dougy d I a listener. She got the
more to call.
Speaker 12 (26:46):
I'm glad, look daddy.
Speaker 10 (26:47):
Couse the throw down, her saying she was on vacation
and everybody knows live Daddy.
Speaker 6 (26:57):
Gonna be lit daddy, and he kept said, you the disrespected.
Speaker 10 (27:01):
He'll begin again when your mother leave home.
Speaker 8 (27:06):
The chid just said she here, come.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Mama and driveway mama.
Speaker 10 (27:11):
And shoving in and show those going though, show those

You know.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
I don't say about marriage.
Speaker 13 (31:23):
I think that's something serious, saying I got them something
you're really ready for us.
Speaker 10 (31:28):
You know, I don't want to you know, teen, I don't.
Speaker 13 (31:31):
I don't want to teend tho. You know what I mean,
tend that. You know, you know you say you're ready,
and I don't think that. I don't think you care
for the money or.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
Nothing like that.
Speaker 9 (31:40):

Speaker 13 (31:54):
It's not like they used to get My fister died,
my brother's died.
Speaker 6 (31:57):
It's just like the family.
Speaker 8 (31:58):
They don't want to have family unions anymore.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
You know.
Speaker 13 (32:00):
I got my dad's side, my mom's side. You know

kids and kids children didn't have kids. Now we don't
know who was who saw you exactly right? But were
we grew up and asking questions, you know what I mean.
But when you date somebody, say, uh, who you?
Speaker 8 (32:21):
Where your family is?
Speaker 13 (32:22):

Speaker 12 (33:34):
You know you heard him.
Speaker 7 (33:36):
You heard him, so you know, you know, I.
Speaker 9 (33:38):
Just don't know what it's just when it went all
through me.
Speaker 13 (33:41):
Sometimes you think clad Clyde be joking sometimes, but I
was glad to hear from mental to run mental soul.
I was glad to hear his run.
Speaker 7 (33:52):
I don't know what John is, so I'm gonna.
Speaker 6 (33:54):
Have to go find John.
Speaker 13 (33:55):
And you know what your question, Yeah, I would be
captul saving whatever you hear me, I I was, Yeah,
I would saw him. You know, I see something like
you know, I pulled up.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Can I say some one?
Speaker 9 (34:06):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 13 (34:06):
That's why God always tall blessing because I'm I'm always
saving people.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Here, So I see you know.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
That's right, lady.
Speaker 6 (34:14):
But you can't say the web.
Speaker 13 (34:16):
You got to know that God is good and yeah, Clade,
I said, God is good and so he.
Speaker 9 (34:23):
And I'm gonna get out the radio.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
When I started talking, I can't stop.
Speaker 13 (34:26):
Hey, what's up Young?
Speaker 1 (34:28):
What's young?
Speaker 13 (34:29):
What's her name?
Speaker 5 (34:29):
Young?
Speaker 1 (34:30):
August?
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Young?
Speaker 13 (34:30):
August Young?
Speaker 9 (34:32):
I like hear he'll call you? She said, so sweet,
just like me. So careful.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
All right, lady, p thank you for checking in? Okay,
all right, bye bye. Listen. Let's see I got an
email here, a stormy tea. We used to have them
every year and switched cities from Saint Louis to Dayton, Ohio,
to Chicago to Memphis. But we slacked off, but we
had our first one in a while, and it was
(34:58):
off the chain to super big Airbnb, to renting a
big boat and Hot Springs, Arkansas. I can't wait till
the next year to do it again. Family needs to
get together often, not when just you know, somebody dies.
You will be out there the sinkhole in about two months.
Wait a minute, now, I'm staying down here, man, I say,
(35:21):
I'm staying down. Told I told little Dad of my
needs was bad. My knees. I can't be in getting
in and out of this sink old like this. That
was from Steve Sidney. Yeah, Steve said they used to
have them. And I'm just curious y'all still having family reunions?
Speaker 15 (35:35):
Do you go?
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Because a lot of families just don't do it anymore.
And I'm wondering, why are we in that state of
you know, of life in America, the demise of the
black family.
Speaker 9 (35:48):
You know, are we.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Falling off, as they say, because we're not doing stuff
like we used to do. You know what I'm saying,
And I believe it because some people people just can't
get along. Some of the elders have passed on. They
were the ones that make got us all together? Y'all
remember sold Food watching that movie in Big Mama wanted
them all to get together, you know, and she always
(36:11):
had them together, and then when she passed on, they
weren't as together. And that's why they say that it's happening.
The elders are passing on and family members just cannot
get along. Can't we all just get along? Can't we?
Or can we?
Speaker 9 (36:28):
Or do we.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Y'all still having family reunions? I'm curious, I really do hmm. Okay,
let me see somebody tapped in on that iHeartRadio app
let's listen in. I had a cousin walked in his
mama's house with his cousin. His mama knew her right
off and she knew her. Wow mm, because we ain't
(36:55):
having them family reunions like we should. We don't know
nobody know mo. Some people now and you know, they
just want it's them Therefore, no more. They don't go nowhere.
They don't want to go to the cousin's house. You're
missing out. You need to let these kids, especially if
you have children, you need to introduce them, those kids
to their family. Please w d I A hello, Hey
(37:18):
Stormy welcome you. Miss pat Hey.
Speaker 7 (37:22):
Oh are you.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Oh, thank you? Thank you so much. You said, I'm
good too. Are you feeling better?
Speaker 17 (37:31):
I am?
Speaker 18 (37:31):
I am feeling better. I am listening to you talk
about the family reunion. My husband and I.
Speaker 7 (37:38):
Going to my dad's family reunion.
Speaker 18 (37:40):
He's never been to one. So we're going to be
in Rigel in Mississippi August first through the The reunion
is all the first through the third. But we're going
to get there and.
Speaker 19 (37:53):
We're gonna stay a couple of days, extra days because
I'm going to rent a car. Wheces I'm down there.
Speaker 18 (37:57):
We're gonna we're gonna catch the train.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
He ain't ver being on the train, ain't up in a.
Speaker 9 (38:02):
Lot of places.
Speaker 7 (38:03):
What he's so fortunate to have me.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
I know that's right, baby. How you are the table?
Remember Meredith told us we are the table?
Speaker 19 (38:11):
Okay, okay, And we are going uh, We're gonna leave
here that Thursday night and get there that Friday on
the first the reunions from that Friday to Sunday, and
then we're gonna stay ext a couple of days. Like
I say, we're gonna rent a car and I'm just
gonna take them.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
All over Mississippi.
Speaker 7 (38:29):
Let him see the real country party, you know.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
So you're gonna be down here close to us.
Speaker 7 (38:35):
Come on home, girl, come out and and I might
drive over to minister.
Speaker 18 (38:39):
Don't don't ever understanding now, okay, okay, come on home
into way. I just wanted to let you know that
it's good that to hear you back.
Speaker 19 (38:49):
And oh god, that sin.
Speaker 18 (38:51):
Cale is just not going to be the same.
Speaker 7 (38:53):
You know, it's gonna be all right.
Speaker 6 (38:58):
He's gonna be okay.
Speaker 7 (38:59):
Your daddy just need a lot more of attention for you.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
Is it really.
Speaker 15 (39:08):
You?
Speaker 18 (39:09):
Sorry?
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Love you too, pas you too. Thank you so much
for calling in. I appreciate you. And glad you're feeling
better too, So glad.
Speaker 9 (39:16):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
So right, you're welcome. Okay, bye bye. All right, y'all, listen,
we're gonna take a break. We're gonna come back and
talk some more. I see you, Clyde. It is on
the ball, y'all. I'm forgetful, un forgetful out the gate.
I'm coming to you next. So you hang on then, Clyde,
I'll come to you. And I see l hanging on, y'all.
I'll hang on. Uh call in if you'd like to
(39:37):
as well. Nin on one five three, five, nine, three
four two eight hundred five zero three nine three four
two eight three three five three five nine three four
two stormy tea at my w D I a dot
com and you can tap that. iHeartRadio. At the holiday
was just amazing with my family and my man, my man,
my man.
Speaker 12 (39:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
So we had a really good time, and I hope
yours was amazing as well. I wonder where Lady D
was talking about. She saw a picture of me. She
must have been looking at me on my Facebook page.
Just must have been where she was. Hmm. Okay. I
asked the question, would you be a captain? Would you
if you saw somebody in trouble, somebody trying to kidnap
(40:20):
a child or something like, would you jump in? Would
you do something about it? Like the folks in New
York They actually jumped in and beat this man who
tried to take a woman. He tried to take the woman.
No means no. People don't want to take no for
an answer anymore these days.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
What is up?
Speaker 1 (40:37):
And it's not just men, it's women too. It was
women too, and it's young women.
Speaker 5 (40:46):
See.
Speaker 1 (40:46):
I think sometimes I don't know, I think sometimes young
women are watching these Real Housewives and all these shows
and they getting these ideas and so they do them.
So family member of mine was, you know, just joking
with somebody, and they said, hey, you should reach out
to well, I should hook y' all up, hook you up,
(41:08):
you know, with my son. And the little girl, she
she took it seriously. So she reached out to my
you know, my relatives child. And the child was like,
who what the who the what the wool? So yeah,
these young women, m h they go after what they want.
(41:33):
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know about
that because I back in the day. Now, I'm sure
this is just me because some of y'all gonna be like, I, girl, no,
I got to if I want somebody, I need to
speak up. I was told, you need tom to let
the man find you, you know what I'm saying. So
I waited all these years. Well first I didn't want
(41:53):
to be married, but I you know, I waited, you know,
and I got found and so I was told that
was the thing. But a lot of people believe that
you ought to be the first person to say something
if you want something, and I don't, I don't know
if I necessarily agree with that. But hey, different strokes
for different folks. I guess hm hmm. I'm gonna read
(42:14):
your emails and I'm gonna come to your calls. Matter
of fact, let me get to the calls. Let me
get to the phones right now. W D I A hello?
Speaker 10 (42:23):
How you do?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
I'm good, I'm forgetful. How are you.
Speaker 7 (42:28):
Mary?
Speaker 6 (42:29):
It just it's just something. But tell me who that
lady was that said it about that takes it stuff.
Speaker 1 (42:40):
That was the the woman who posted that on social media.
Let me find it so I can tell you who
it was. But it was a uh, she was working
for someone in uh that was one of the Democrats
in a particular city. Now let me see she was
(43:03):
a Houston official and she was blasted over her comments.
Let's see former Houston City Board official Shade Perkins, appointed
by Democrats, sparked outraged because she had uh huh. She
got fired. She got fired for what she said.
Speaker 6 (43:22):
That's sad, you know, throwing That makes me think of
that movie called Go Face. The best scene in the
movie was when he was hit a blow up their official.
As god Face looked at him, he said, he got
his kids with he got kids with him. Then he said,
now now I'm gonna blow it up them as God
face blown it but away.
Speaker 7 (43:42):
That was the best me in that.
Speaker 6 (43:44):
Movie because I understood that because you know what I
was dealing with humanity.
Speaker 7 (43:50):
We don't care about your children anymore.
Speaker 6 (43:52):
So it's so solid. I mean, you talk about the
foundation or reunion and stuff like that. I'm I'm a
baby boy. I knew after man came the generation that
are you generations?
Speaker 1 (44:07):
A baby boy, I'm x next.
Speaker 7 (44:10):
You know something saw some of y'all.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
Got it, But a lot of generations that people that
you cannot build a family foundation on life. You can't
do that, baby mama, six children with six daddies.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
You can't do that.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
They be sure that you know all kind of there.
You know they don't Kenny Storm.
Speaker 9 (44:40):
And a man, no respect, no more honor for you.
Speaker 7 (44:47):
You just dog in the wildness.
Speaker 11 (44:53):
Sad.
Speaker 6 (44:53):
It's so sad, but showing that I'm gonna get out
of that. But I'm just gonna leave it alone because
you know, here I am in my seven decade. So
you know, what can I say? I ain't got too long,
but I'm gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
Baby girl, And what you're gonna be honest about forget
to tell.
Speaker 6 (45:10):
Me people don't have no humanity anymore. Nobody just can't
get out. Listen to the storm one of your calls.
I don't even like to talk about people, but just
a trip kick it out. When people do stuff like
this dealing with whatever they texted, they just let you
(45:31):
know that who you revoting for and all they counts stuff.
You see what I'm saying, politicize the situation, and that
is sad our mindets. I like that storm.
Speaker 5 (45:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (45:44):
Now, I'm not.
Speaker 6 (45:46):
Trying to be a conspiracy cub or anything, but I
don't know what's going on with all this technology that
y'all people so in love with.
Speaker 8 (45:55):
I mean, doorm I.
Speaker 6 (45:57):
Wonder about these towers they're scattering everywhere around this country. Uh,
they being the elipidated in some kind of way where
they bringing in all the weather on particular, because I
heard in the story one time, I mean, I'm ready
here one time about this man who tried to burn
(46:18):
down the towel. Why don't you try to burn down
and say your wrong towel? And then I heard another
story back to the time. I thought somebody to try
to tear down the towel. I said, this stuff is strange,
and nobody talking about it.
Speaker 9 (46:32):
Once you got that Wi Fi what that stuff they
call you?
Speaker 6 (46:35):
Uh? Going in that?
Speaker 1 (46:37):
You know it was four nine five uh five G
your cell phones?
Speaker 6 (46:42):
Yeah yeah, yeah, five G. Do you have technology in
the wrong hand of evil people? Let me give you
an example.
Speaker 7 (46:52):
You got the devil.
Speaker 6 (46:54):
You got to be somewhere storm and you got the
devil in a race car. You're on the highway and
he come by. I'm gonna take you down, take you down,
and then you want somebody my hand. He more a
donkey with a car dragging it down a highway on
the side. Which one you want to get in? People,
you won't get in the table car because it's the
fast car and you gonna get their face.
Speaker 10 (47:15):
But you ain't looking at.
Speaker 7 (47:16):
What's going on with him? I got ja, Yeah, man,
don't you don't want a donkey cart?
Speaker 4 (47:24):
And you know, take your time.
Speaker 7 (47:29):
All this crack I got you.
Speaker 6 (47:31):
Forgot you demand and thank people, nobody.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
All right, forget Thank you so much for calling. I
appreciate you. You know what, I ain't riding with the devil.
I don't want to ride with him. I mean, if
I hear you. I forgot hear what you're saying. But
I'm gonna tell you now, people make mistakes. People make mistakes,
And just because a woman has five children and she
(47:56):
got five different baby daddies doesn't make her a terrible person.
People make mistakes, you know what I'm saying, Because maybe
when she got to six, she said, you know what,
I'm gonna change my life. I'm gonna turn my life
around and I'm gonna do something different. You know what
I'm saying. Yeah, people make mistakes, you know, and we
(48:17):
are people, so that means I make mistakes too.
Speaker 19 (48:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
None of us are perfect. Nobody's perfect. And I don't
know what was happening with that young lady, miss Perkins.
I don't know what was happening. I don't know why
she felt but she said she was gonna get canceled.
I don't know why she thought to do that. I
don't know, especially after hearing about those children that passed
away at that camp. Yeah, so hopefully and prayerfully, the
(48:48):
town that is reeling we'll get back. You know, there's
no way you can get back to some normalcy for
a while after something like that happens. The devastating Texas floods.
They've impacted countless residents. A lot of families lost their homes, communities,
and lives and have been shattered and children are still missing.
(49:11):
They're still looking for kids, and so the need is urgent.
It is the Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country. They've
launched the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund to support response, relief,
and long term recovery efforts. I was looking at a
picture from a man who was out there and he
(49:32):
just looked like he was in tears looking for a
family member, and it broke my heart to see that picture.
Nobody was in it but him. I saw the person
that was in the tree, and one person that was saved.
I heard of others that were in trees that were not.
(49:55):
All the donations that you give will go directly to
trusted local organizations to provide food and shelter, health care,
and hope. And so you know, those of us here
at iHeartMedia, we're asking you to join us to donate
to Kerr County Flood. Really fun at community Foundation dot net. Yeah,
(50:16):
a lot of folks still really over what happened to
those folks. Bless their hearts. W d I a hello, Hello,
what's up, Clyde? How you doing Clyde?
Speaker 9 (50:30):
Mm hm, I ain't getting it. I can see somebody
getting abbing, somebody to grab the one.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
That Oh come on, Clyde.
Speaker 9 (50:40):
Wow, I ain't getting in that storm.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
What if God wanted you to?
Speaker 19 (50:45):
No?
Speaker 9 (50:45):
No, no, I'm not getting that storm.
Speaker 7 (50:49):
That's uh, I know I'm not. Mm hmmm. There ain't
no way.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
You're not gonna You're not gonna help somebody out if
they are looking for somebody else.
Speaker 6 (51:00):
How how you gonna know theyre being kidnapped?
Speaker 1 (51:03):
What do you mean how they How you gonna know?
I mean I'm talking about it. If you know that
they're being kidnapped, I would not, but I.
Speaker 16 (51:11):
Know I need being kidd that's a whole different story
of them. But just just hitping a random person. Oh no,
I ain't doing that because you never know what's going on.
Speaker 9 (51:21):
All right?
Speaker 1 (51:21):
And and and and.
Speaker 16 (51:25):
I mean unions need to happen because people need to.
Speaker 7 (51:29):
Know who they realive deal.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
Now, you're right about it.
Speaker 16 (51:32):
Lot of holes out there. They're married, they relative and
don't even know it until one day.
Speaker 7 (51:39):
Feel in seeing out of town someone say, and you
married to.
Speaker 16 (51:45):
And Stone will tell you the funny thing happened to
me today. I was sitting in my car taking the break,
eating lunch, and somebody said.
Speaker 7 (51:57):
They will never call.
Speaker 13 (52:00):
Why.
Speaker 1 (52:01):
I just hollered that won't.
Speaker 6 (52:06):
Holler because he didn't know the way we run.
Speaker 16 (52:08):
And I actually enjoyed your reruns that you played, Oh
thank you. I actually enjoyed them because some of the
some of the stuff on that I didn't get.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
A chance of here m hm.
Speaker 7 (52:18):
And I enjoyed it though.
Speaker 16 (52:19):
But it was funny that he'll live there that he
will never call you, sord So they let me know
that he was down in the shoulder and storm was
don't say you did that, creed?
Speaker 7 (52:29):
How you get fired on your day off?
Speaker 1 (52:35):
All right, Clyde man, I don't know. I don't know
how it happened. I don't know, I really, I really don't.
I ain't gonna lie. I don't. I don't. I don't
know how it happened. Let me go to this app
real quick.
Speaker 5 (52:48):
Hey, good afternoon. Yeah, I kind of agree with that statistics.
It ain't too many reunions no more. You know, that
was one of the one things my mom and dad
always told us. You know that we don't get no
cuz it's pregnant and not knowing that your cuzin.
Speaker 7 (53:06):
Right, got you lot out of Michigan.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
All right, now, thank you for tapping in. Okay, appreciate that. Hey, Stormy,
t this Anon Herbert from Naptown. Any Now, that's Indiana.
Speaker 15 (53:16):
I just got in from Detroit from the fourth and
we had a huge family union and it was beautiful.
From the oldest from ninety three to the youngest aid
three months. Wow. Well anyway, hey for his black family,
we still got it. Hey, Lady p when he was
talking about Ryan Ron just got off of TV, off
of our MSNBC. So he's about to throw a little
(53:37):
daddy because he about to get millions of millions of fans.
Speaker 9 (53:40):
Take care of.
Speaker 1 (53:46):
Well, y'all something else. Okay, listen, I'm gonna email here
Miss Tasha. Hey girls, she's a living rent free Hey Stormy, Hey,
you were missed last week. Yes, I do go to
family reunions. We need to know our people's Stormy, Stormie,
why are you living rent free in little Daddy's head?
I don't know. He fired you on your day off
(54:08):
for real, don real, she says, loving your show, Thanks
so much, appreciate you. Miss Tracy, welcome back. I missed you.
I follow you on V one oh one to WDIA.
Speaker 13 (54:17):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (54:18):
As far as family reunions, a lot of black folks
or a lot of blacks don't have family reunions because
most don't get along. Most young people just want to
sit around and get high. So when it's time to
pitch in with money, everyone is broke and either they
are worried about who's talking about each other. I grew
up in foster care and long for a closer family function.
(54:41):
We plan on getting together next year. Hopefully things will
work out. I'm hoping that for you too, Tracy, she said,
I hit send before I finished, but take care and
I hope to see you soon at your Friday spot.
I hope to see you too. So sweet, so sweet,
let's see here. Brandy Smith says, good evening, Stormy, welcome back. Well,
(55:03):
my grandmother used to have family get togethers all the
time at her home. Since she passed, we have had nothing.
Oh my goodness. She left her home to me and
over the weekend, me and my cousins did a family
reunion in the yard and it was awesome and packed.
We met lots of family we never met before. They
(55:25):
came from all over the states, and they enjoyed Memphis.
We are millennials and just trying to keep the family
together and we just want to keep our grandmother's legacy going.
The elders definitely enjoyed it. Oh, that is so awesome,
so awesome. Let's see Nicole Harris's birthday. Wish. I would
(55:48):
like to wish myself a happy fiftieth birthday. Over the weekend,
I celebrated my birthday with my children and grandchildren. Cheers
to in another year around the sun. I am forever thankful.
Nikki Taylor a faithful listener. Oh she sent pictures too.
Hey girl, look at you and your family. Just beautiful,
beautiful families are getting together. We still need to get
(56:11):
some family reunions. Back off, y'all. We got to get
these family These kids need to know each other. Let's
get back to it. It's on us now, It's on us, y'all.
Speaker 7 (56:21):
W d I A hello, Yes, Stormy Hey there, hello, Hey. Yes,
I've been waiting, Yes, I've been waiting.
Speaker 20 (56:28):
I want to eldress to one with the family from
a very large family and I go to I actually
we used to go to all the family re unions,
just only just me and my family, and I try
to take the baby so that they can know. But
a lot of family re unions, I think they're not
attendant on my side. I can just speak on my
side instead, because there's.
Speaker 1 (56:49):
A lot of lives in the family.
Speaker 16 (56:51):
There's a lot of lives and then a lot of
these people they did now and they believe those lives,
but they grow and it's.
Speaker 7 (56:56):
Still responsibility to make sure that it's true. Not that
right on to the generation of the generation. We have
had a lot of stuff in our.
Speaker 20 (57:03):
Family and all our families. And the thing is about
it is not to put their live. You how do
you live fifty years and then you have a brother
in the family, then all of a sudden he got
he got thirteen brothers. You never heard about it until
the mom and dad did.
Speaker 5 (57:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (57:19):
So I think it's a lot of lies. That with
a lot of lies.
Speaker 16 (57:22):
And when people don't want to come to the family reunsey,
they can go to a club, they can buy their
drugs and everything, but they don't want to pay for
a family reunion. They want to know who make the
potato size, so that kater and catering who making the
say side or or so and so can't pay.
Speaker 20 (57:36):
But so and so is a drug addic and not
not a drug add He just have habits that he
paid for or she paid for. Like I said, a
lot of the family reunions and I go to quite
a food family re union, and some of them I
haven't even heard about because.
Speaker 9 (57:48):
They know I know the history of them, and.
Speaker 20 (57:51):
They just they live in last lives all they life.
That's that's one of them. I'm gonna I'm gonna stop
right there about the family real it's a lot of
life going on.
Speaker 16 (58:02):
And I think that that the people that are grown
and they if they go to Haighu or whatever, they
should find out.
Speaker 6 (58:09):
About their family.
Speaker 7 (58:11):
Yeah, it cause the people that might be dead mm hmm.
Speaker 20 (58:16):
And then and then the next I think the next
thing you air addressed was so it was something else
that you got you mentioned about. I don't think what was,
but I'm gonna what's the question.
Speaker 1 (58:26):
It was a lot I've been talking about a lot.
Speaker 7 (58:28):
Okay, I'm going to stop there with their family.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
Got you thank you so much for calling in. I
appreciate you. Yeah you too, that would be you too
bye bye. Yeah man. We that's the tough part about
family reunions because you know, you go to a family room,
you know, you know that wouldn't her daddy, you know
who her daddy. I was talking to somebody the other day, coming, man,
(58:53):
you're not gonna believe this. I was talking to somebody
while I was on while I was out of town,
and they were telling me about these two brothers, and
they were telling me, Uh, there was a woman. She
was married to one of the brothers. I think she's
still married to the brother. She had a baby by
(59:16):
his brother. My god, her first child while she's married
to the other brother, was by the brother. And so
the brother went to the brother whose child it was.
He went to prison, and one day he just told me,
how my baby doing. I want to know how my baby.
That's how, that's how to that's how.
Speaker 7 (59:38):
That's how I came to light.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
Too much old blood, m thing you happened.
Speaker 7 (59:44):
Things happened. We had about six family reunions a year.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
Oh man. That's awesome.
Speaker 7 (59:50):
Technic technically, you know, we get together a lot, you know,
but really we come together or hear memorial, they everybody
come here, come here from her the station and stuff.
We get together for Murray day of the year.
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
That's beautiful.
Speaker 7 (01:00:03):
But anyway, uh huh, we we I hear some people's
stories and I don't know. We we do really good
to be a big family, like we are a lot
of fun.
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
Yeah, how big is your family? Coming?
Speaker 15 (01:00:17):
Man?
Speaker 1 (01:00:17):
You gotta be curious because you do talk about your family.
How y'all get together?
Speaker 7 (01:00:22):
Twenty two siblings twenty two?
Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Wow?
Speaker 7 (01:00:26):
And being a host of nephews and nieces and stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
You know, yeah, you how many you got? Do you
know how many nieces and nephews? Who have nephews and nieces?
Speaker 17 (01:00:35):
Nah?
Speaker 7 (01:00:36):
Nah, I don't. There's a lot of them, a whole
lot of them. I bet you. When we get together,
just the sister, brothers, nephews and nieces, it's like almost
one hundred people right there by. Help. Wow, you know,
uh huh.
Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
That's beautiful.
Speaker 7 (01:00:53):
And I got uh, I got one living aunt, one
living aunt, one of my mother's sisters, So I got
one living out about like six six aunts and no uncles.
Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
Yeah living yeah, oh wow. But anyway to your.
Speaker 7 (01:01:11):
Subject, I don't think it's anything wrong with a woman
approaching a man and letting them know that she may
have some interest in him.
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
Yeah, I think that's one thing. But what about somebody
you don't know that just you know what I'm saying
about somebody you don't know and somebody just mentions them
to you now of the blue, you just find them
in contact them. What don't you think that's a little.
Speaker 7 (01:01:33):
Well, well, yeah, you know, I you know, I don't.
I don't I wouldn't be just so down. Well, then again,
it depends because let's just say, for insted me and
you say, you know what coming, I got somebody want
you to meet. You know, I may be okay with
that because I trust you you know me, and so
you you probably know you know this.
Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
He would be okay.
Speaker 7 (01:01:57):
They may have some things in common, they may be
a interested you know whatever. And then because I know
you wouldn't bring somebody to me that wouldn't be at
least decent or anything like that. Yeah, you know, so
I think I think even in a case like that,
it would be okay. And then you know, maybe it'll work,
maybe not, because you got to go through the same
process regardless of how you meet the person, you got
(01:02:19):
to get to nor them and this, that and the other.
So you know, I think that may be okay, you know, uh,
the young lady in Texas, it was definitely insistentive what
she said. I think I maybe I think I could
kind of like feel where she's coming from. You probably
was thinking, like, you know, in the state of the
(01:02:41):
discrimination and how you know, the racism that that's gone
on in this country towards black people for so long,
how they separate themselves from us, from us as you
know in some cases. And it was like she was saying, like,
why should we care? You know, That's what I That's
the way I took it. So I think it was wrong.
(01:03:01):
It was bad for her to say, and definitely she
shouldn't have done it on social media.
Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:03:06):
Man, So she really put herself in a bad predicament.
And it makes me think back to what Tjanta Murphys
did after. Yes, it's still bad. Yes, it's just certain
things you cannot say publicly.
Speaker 9 (01:03:18):
Although a lot.
Speaker 7 (01:03:19):
Of people like to say, well I got a freedom
of speech, Yes you do, but sometime your freedom of
speech may have come with some consequences. Yes, you know,
so she definitely being public with it like that, that
was out of order. Out of order.
Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
I got you coming in. It's all like that, Thank you,
appreciate you, yeah, man, and happy for your family too.
So glad that to hear that there are families that
still do get together like that. I think it's a
beautiful thing. But man, the way he put those two
together like a Perkins and Tajuanna Murphy and and made
(01:03:56):
us see it that way, that's deep. That's deep. That's deep.
It really is, uh. And I can see it from
that perspective too. Yeah, Jamie, Anthony, Nurse Beverly, Miss clot
y'all hold on and you guys are tapping the app.
Got a message email from Miss Tosha. Hey, girl, I'm
gonna read all of that and get to your calls
(01:04:16):
on the way. So y'all stick around last thirty minutes.
Got that classic TV throwback for you at the end
of the hour, so stick around for that as well.
Nin on one five three, five, nine three four two
eight hundred five zero three, ninety three four two eight
three three five three five nine three four to two.
Those are the numbers to get at me before I
get up out of here. He's good dad. To get
some chocolate if you like it, clad said. He likes
(01:04:38):
some chocolate.
Speaker 7 (01:04:39):
Let me tell you what.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
It's a lot of men like chocolate.
Speaker 15 (01:04:43):
Year me.
Speaker 1 (01:04:44):
There's a lot of dark chocolate listening to this radio too.
Speaker 15 (01:04:47):
You here?
Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
Okay, wrong China kind of chocolate? Okay, bad joke. But
we love chocolate. Women seem to. I'm a woman, so
I can say this. But women, we love chocolate, don't we.
We seem to like it little bit more than men.
But maybe maybe maybe they like it more than us.
We just don't know. I don't know. Anyway. I love
me some chocolate. I sure do love it. So Happy
(01:05:10):
National Chocolate Day. M Okay, would you be a good samaritan?
Could you see yourself doing that for somebody? If you
saw somebody in peril, you know, a damsel in distress. Fellows,
would you help? Would you jump in? Could you do it?
Would you? Ladies? Would you? You know what I'm saying?
(01:05:32):
Because I man, we get on them cell phones, we
get on themselves. You know that's the sad part about
you know how humanity is now? So many people are
trying to capture everything on their cell phone that they
ain't even call it nine one one. Get off that
phone and called nine one one. Anyway, let's see miss Thomas.
(01:05:53):
Hey Misstosha, She says, welcome back, beautiful, thank you girl.
After all this time, we're supposed to believe that there
was never an Epstein client list, or that they have
no evidence revealing the names of clients. So that's the
lie that we are supposed to believe.
Speaker 16 (01:06:09):
Got it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
If Epstein is dead, he was likely killed to protect
his clients. Stormy, I'm sure that little Daddy is listening
and realizes that he made a mistake. But it is
kind of funny, it is, ain't it. I got pushing
nesting hole and I was off work. I was out
there and enjoying my life.
Speaker 5 (01:06:29):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
I was really having a good time. As a matter
of fact, I was listening to WDA every day, both
of my stations that them. I was listening to both
of them every day. And I heard him trying to
push me in. I said, what did I do? I
thought we were the I thought we were boys. I
kind of broke my heart a little bit. Anyway, she says,
I can just imagine him calling a few days last
(01:06:50):
week and cussing you out for not answering his call.
He'll probably call soon and say that he didn't know
that you were off. You're doing the right thing by
not officially coming out of the sinkhole past to Jay
family reunion. As I listened to your show this afternoon, Stormy, hello,
by the way to you and your listeners. As I
(01:07:11):
listened to your show, I'm reminded of my mother, which
at the time was sixteen years old and was impregnated
by a grown man, which she is she said was
my father's. That we're trying to say that I didn't
even know. But the killing part is that it is
that I have family that knows everything and won't tell me,
(01:07:35):
and now that she's gone to the celestial City, I
will never know who my father was. So yes, family
reunions are very very important, even for the younger generation.
We don't want our children dating our cousins or their cousins.
Thank you for reading my email, Stormy looking for my daddy.
Speaker 13 (01:07:56):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
Wow Wow. See we talked about it and there are
some people living it, literally living it.
Speaker 19 (01:08:11):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
All right, you guys tapped the app Let me go there. Hi,
storm and I'm glad you're bag. I missed you so
last Thank you.
Speaker 21 (01:08:19):
I was just letting you know that our family and
this fleming family. We are doing number fifty nine reunion
number fifty nine and we are going to Hot Texas
so we get together every year.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
The Fleming family.
Speaker 6 (01:08:36):
Strong.
Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
Just come from this onw see it ain't a mine?
Bye bye, thank him. Miss Owens. Oh that's awesome, hey, Star.
Speaker 15 (01:08:43):
Report of the Pack just wondered, what did the counsel
lady and Houston say that was wrong? She's just speaking
how some folks feel. I mean, sorry, she didn't have
no sympathy, but I mean truth is true. Maggie Stormy,
enjoy your ship.
Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
Thank you for a city pad. Wow beautiful Meredith, She says,
I just came from a family reunion last week in Atlanta.
It was awful. We have two sides to my family.
One side is prestigious, well off and classy. The other
is plain ghetto. This was the ghetto side for the
(01:09:25):
most part. Lol. Meredith. Okay, beautiful picture girl. Y'all's gorgeous.
They are Okay, that was my let's see magnolium the
country girl. And when I say y'all's gorgeous, y'all know
what I'm trying to say. Forgive me English teachers, y'all
know you all are beautiful basically, you're gorgeous, all of you.
(01:09:47):
Let's go back to the phone. See what you guys
are talking. Let me see who's been holding on the
longest here, WD I A hello.
Speaker 4 (01:09:54):
Close, Stormy.
Speaker 19 (01:09:55):
He there.
Speaker 6 (01:09:56):
How are you?
Speaker 4 (01:09:57):
I'm well, I'm well.
Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
Welcome back. Thank you. How you doing. I'm glad to
know that you are good, and thank you for checking
in with me today. Talk to me, sister.
Speaker 22 (01:10:07):
Okay, a couple of things about whether I would help
if I saw a woman being attacked. I'll call now
one one because I don't think I can fight a man,
so I will call now. I want one.
Speaker 9 (01:10:19):
I'm gonna do that, okay.
Speaker 6 (01:10:21):
And regarding that lady, well.
Speaker 7 (01:10:23):
Nothing down and what she said, but like the guy
just that you just played, Yeah, I think what.
Speaker 22 (01:10:32):
Maybe what she was saying is these people voted for
Trump and he did away with all of the you know,
you can't get alert from when something like that is happening.
He did away with THEEMA and all that. So she
was saying probably, and I can't say what she meant,
but I'm thinking she was saying, because they voted to
him and put him in office, he did away with
(01:10:54):
everything that would have given them alerts that something was
about to happen because I'm something and they didn't get
any alert. And then the female thing.
Speaker 9 (01:11:03):
Everybody know that he did away with FEMA.
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Too, well, he's trying to do away with him. I
don't think they're gone completely.
Speaker 6 (01:11:08):
But yeah, yeah, so I think probably that's what she
was trying to say.
Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
Do you think so?
Speaker 22 (01:11:16):
I would think that that's the only logical thing to
me that she would be saying, to say that they
were conservatives.
Speaker 6 (01:11:23):
And they were this, and they were white. The only
thing I can think she was saying is that they
voted for him. That's the only thing I can get
out of that.
Speaker 7 (01:11:30):
Wow, she was trying to say something else.
Speaker 6 (01:11:33):
I have no idea what she was trying to say.
Speaker 1 (01:11:35):
Well, she knew she would get canceled. I mean she
said that.
Speaker 22 (01:11:38):
Well, and I think she thought it because she was
and she never mentioned his name, but you know, it
was a subtle thing that she said, and I think
maybe she thought she was going to get canceled because
she was talking about Trump.
Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
You know what, I could see what you're saying, because
she did mention conservatives and yeah, uh yeah, but it
was just how she said it, because it leaves so
much to your imagination that you really don't know why
she did it. You know, it seems as though she
did it on purpose, because she said, I know I'm
going to get canceled for this.
Speaker 22 (01:12:14):
Yeah, she said what I think she said when she
felt that the time. But sometimes can't say what you feel.
You just got to find another way to get her across.
Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
Yeah, yeah, I got you, I got you, all right,
all right, call You're welcome anytime, all right, bye?
Speaker 4 (01:12:35):

Speaker 7 (01:13:00):
Because you know, there's so much going on.
Speaker 4 (01:13:02):
I can't even talk about all some of its. You
just got to hold your mouth shut and think about
it and pray about it and liked it. Just says
you can't think to speak everything you think. I remember
my son told me one time, think twice and speak once.
I said, what you're talking about? Sign?
Speaker 19 (01:13:20):
I was working in the in the correction facility.
Speaker 4 (01:13:22):
Then he said Mama, don't let the people get you
upset like that.
Speaker 9 (01:13:26):
He said.
Speaker 4 (01:13:26):
You think twice and you speak once.
Speaker 19 (01:13:28):
He said, because you know, song, as you go on
the door, they're gonna stove some stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:13:32):
I said, but I don't understand what you're saying. Son,
he said, Mama, think twice, he said, allow them to
say what they say and then answer them to.
Speaker 7 (01:13:39):
Repeat it is necessary.
Speaker 4 (01:13:40):
Therefore, you've got time to think about it, so you
open your mouth. So I've been carrying that around for
a few years, and I know it's good medicine.
Speaker 1 (01:13:47):
It sure is. Now that a that'll teach, it'll preach
all of that good stuff that's that's good.
Speaker 20 (01:13:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:13:55):
I could take that and hit it and quit it
and get gone on, end with it death Like I
was a conversation on the other day. And I love
you and I'm glad you're back. I talked to you
later on.
Speaker 1 (01:14:05):

Speaker 15 (01:15:58):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:15:59):
But a lot of times you it might be good
for you to join in with somebody who's already doing it,
because people are suspicious when they see somebody just asking
for money and they don't have an organization or you know,
something like that. You know, people get suspicious. They'd be like, oh,
he's trying to take my money to the house and so.
Speaker 19 (01:16:18):

so many ways. I ain't be my wife and and

brought me a long way to feel blessing me. And
the more ideas thom it like, the more I get.
I mean that every time one one to close, another
(01:17:15):
one to open right back up, God, I got to
get out of here and style going back to church
that quick, going to church back. I can't let the

Bad it just hurt me to my heart. Well, listen,
let me, let me let me see if if there's
an organization in Memphis doing something and maybe you could
drop it off. Maybe we could reach out to the
city of Memphis and see what they've got, or you know,
someplace like that that you could drop something off to,
because I'm sure there are organizations right here that's helping people.
(01:18:27):
Mister Mitchell, at your heart, you got a sweetheart, you
really do.
Speaker 9 (01:18:30):
I want to drop at least about one hundred either
