Speaker 1 (00:00):
A.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
A lot of folks stand at the grid, but a
lot of people are traveling right now, doing vacations and
all that good stuff. So big shout out to all
of you that are traveling. But you still have ten
SEVENTYDA on on your radio. You got us on that app.
Y'all downloaded the app. We asked you to do it.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
You did it, and you're listening to us while you're
on vacation. Thank you. Big Kahuna does it all the time.
Go out of town. You know what he's doing listening
to ten seven d A. And I know some of
y'all are getting having.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Withdrawals because Stan wasn't on this morning or did he
sneak up in here anyway, I know you having withdrawal.
I had a few withdrawals. My saying, Alae had a
few withdrawals. I said, I miss him. He'll be back tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
He'll be back tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
So yeah, no fear Stan Bell will be here. Yeah,
so a lot happening in Memphis. I hope you had
a good weekend. I hope you did. I hope your
weekend was fabulous. Maybe a weekend wasn't as good as
this guy. Now this this story happened a long time ago.
But I saw this story and I could not believe it.
You can't remember the story about the man who found
(01:09):
seven point five million dollars in a storage unit.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, yeah, a whole lot of money, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
And so the people who owned the story, the storage unit,
the whole thing got sold, and so somebody, this man
bought the storage unit for like five hundred bucks. And
so when he bought it, he found a safe.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
In that safe he thought would be emd was seven
point five million dollars.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Man, So the people who owned the safe, they were like, hey,
if you give us our money bag, we'll give you
six hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
And he said nope. Well you know, he got an
attorney and all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
But at any rate, he did give them their money back,
but it cost them almost one point five million dollars. Yeah,
but they got their money back. But when I was
reading that story, I was like, uh, who owned that money?
You know, what would I do if I found seven
point five million dollars in a storage unit that I own,
(02:12):
so technically I own the money. If they contacted me,
what would I do? Would I give the money back?
What would I do? Mm, depending on who they are.
I'd probably give them all of it back. Depending on
who they are. I don't know, because if you know, hey,
somebody's got that kind of money, come on now, come on,
somebody leaves that kind of money in the storage, come
(02:33):
on now. Anyway, that guy did, he he did come
up a little bit. He ended up with one point
something million dollars. It's probably really a serious come up
for him. Would be a serious come up for me too.
But yeah, everybody wins. Don't you love it when everybody wins? Yeah,
what would you do? I don't know. I think, seriously,
I think i'd get that money back. Just want to
(02:54):
let you know some things that's going on around here today.
I was driving to work right and when I was
coming in this morning, I was driving in that left lane,
and i'nna be honest with you on I was driving
pretty slow in a left lane, far left lane, you
know that that fast lane that's really like a it's
(03:15):
our version of an HOV. Most big cities have hov's.
You can't be in that lane unless there's two people
or more in the car. Well, in Memphis, they don't
have it marked as HOV. But we know that, well,
we don't know. That's probably the problem.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
We don't know.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
We don't know that when you're driving in that far
left lane that you're supposed to uh, you know, book
book book it up, book up.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
How you say, get the booking? You spot to drive
a little faster when you over there and that far.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Left lane at any rate. I don't know if y'all heard,
but I want to let you know because I don't
want you to get a ticket. Tennessee has a new law.
It's called the slow poke Law. It prohibits drivers from
using the far left lane on divided highways with two
or more lanes in each direction, except when you're actively
(04:09):
passing another vehicle. Mm hm, you're gonna have to pass
somebody if you're over that lane. Now, you're not supposed
to be over there unless you booking.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
You know.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
That's so.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
I guess that left lane is really for emergency driving only,
I guess. And if you're passing somebody, they say you
can be in there. But it's confusing to me because
what Okay, so the speed limit is sixty five in
most of the you know highways we got around here,
sixty five so what if I'm passing somebody and I
go seventy, I'm gonna get a ticket. But I honestly
(04:51):
I don't know. I can't see them enforcing that law.
I mean, it's a law now, I'm just let me
just letting you know. It's a law, and you could
be pont it could be a well they say it's
a class C missed and punishable by fifty dollars fine.
The law aims to improve traffic flow and safety by
ensuring that the left lane is primarily used for passing.
(05:17):
I'm confused, though, I'm still what if I go seven
and you going sixty five, I'm trying to pass you.
I guess I'm not supposed to pass, so I could
get a ticket. But I'm gonna tell you I was
over in that left lane today, and because I had
read about the law over the weekend, I got on
out that left lane because I was like, I'm not
supposed to be over here. But it's if police are
(05:39):
gonna enforce this, I'm just gonna tell you here in Memphis,
it's gonna take a minute, number one, number two. A
whole lot of folks gonna get tickets because it was
all of us over there was going slow.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
I wasn't the only one. I just I noticed it.
I thought about it.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
I said, oh my goodness, since I read the law.
Like I said, I moved on out the way and
I got in the lane with the slower people. I
wasn't trying to pass nobody, just in case the cops
were behind me or something like that.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
So let me get on out this lane. I mean,
I wasn't in a hurry or anything like that. So ah,
I just got on off the lane.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
But just in case, you don't know, if you decide
to get on three eighty five, two forty I forty
fifty five, what else we got?
Speaker 3 (06:25):
It's seventy eight to two lane.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Wherever two lanes are, if it's in Tennessee, you could
get a ticket if you're in that far left lane
just holding up traffic. Don't say I didn't tell you,
okay when they pull you over, dun't don't say I
didn't tell you.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Okay. Did you hear Memphis City council Member Jerry Green? Okay, Jerry?
Where it is?
Speaker 2 (06:53):
She's running for the Democratic nomination for Tennessee guff nah,
She told a group of Democrats gathered in Nashville for
the State Party's annual Three Star dinner on Saturday, July twelfth,
and she confirmed on July fourteenth her plans to launch
her campaign next month. Yep, Daily Menfinn is sharing that information.
(07:13):
But I saw that story several places. She said, for me,
it's time to shake things up. We've got the clean
house in Tennessee. Green told the Daily Memphinn our future
is too important.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yeah, she said the D word. She sure did.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
They blurred it out, but she's yeah, yes, what she said.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
So, yeah, and now we do know. Just in case
you didn't know.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
I saw the story too in the commercial appeal about
who's running for Shelby County mayor Melvin Burgess, Harold Collins,
J W. Gibson, Michael Lowry, Rusty Qualls. I hope I'm
saying that correct.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
JB.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Smiley, I ain't no. Rusty was in the race, and
the lone sister long sister. I think she's the criminal
court clerk for Shelby County government. Heidie Coon is running
for Shelby County mayo. Yeah, yeah, y'all, they'll still think
(08:23):
that Heidi could pull this one off.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
You think still thinks she could do it. Woom y'all
gonna split that vote bad? That vote gonna be split bad.
I mean, look, J. W. Gibson, Harold Collins, Melvin Burgess,
Michael Lowry, Rusty Qualls, JB. Smiley, Man, if you ask me,
(08:49):
that's a lot of split votes.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
And Heidie could sew it up. So that's what always
happens though. That's what everybody wants to get in the
race to run. You know for mayor around here it's
either Shelby County mayor or mayor from Memphis. And you
know you split, you really do. We saw it in
the mayor's race for Memphis. We saw that vote get
(09:13):
split fifty five thousand ways because it was so many
people running. Do you think any of them if you
had a conversation with the six I think it's six
of them, the six black men who are running for governor.
Do you think one, two, three, four or five six?
Do you think if you had a conversation with them
(09:34):
that maybe they could say, Okay, for the sake of
you know, one of us getting it, I'm gonna buiw
out of the race.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Has that ever happened? But do you think that could happen?
Speaker 2 (09:46):
That somebody could buy out, because if it's just one
of them, they might.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Be able to beat Heidi. They might be able to
beat them. We don't know.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
But if they're all running, I'm gonna tell you, well,
y'all already know. So who is there's a list out
of the top ten most dangerous cities in the United States.
Who is on the top? Well, let me give you
the top ten? Thank you, Jeremy Pierre Fox thirteen.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Top ten. Let's go, let's go for it.
Speaker 2 (10:27):

Number eight.
Speaker 3 (10:35):

stay up out of there too. Number four East Saint
Louis is It Illinois? Number three, Espanol, New Mexico, Espinola,
New Mexico, Number two, Ben simmer Alabama, and Aniston, Alabama?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Am I right? Think it's right? Yeah? At any rate,
Memphis ain't even on the top. We're not do y'all.
Did y'all hear me? That's give me. Give it to me.
I time.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
A oop ten most dangerous cities in the United States,
and Memphis is not even in the top ten. We
are number five in stress. They say, we stressed out
around here. Just just why we stressed.
Speaker 3 (11:46):

President Trump.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
Oo.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
He gaged them.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
He said, I ain't moving, I ain't going. I'm telling
you I ain't going. And it didn't go nowhere.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
He stayed right up there.
Speaker 7 (12:14):
It sure do.
Speaker 3 (12:15):

pizza around here?
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Oh yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah, it's way better, man,
way better that.
Speaker 8 (13:15):
Really.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
I mean, I can't describe, but just just the sauce itself,
it's is legitimate.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I bet the barbecue ain't.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
Mean I wasn't thinking about no barbecue in Chicago. Nah,
I wasn't thinking about no barbecue. Let me say this,
those storms, and I mean this with everything in my
my my spirit. I mean this storm or if I
was the president of the United States, them folks in
chicag they'll wake up in the morning. The first thing
(13:44):
they are here.
Speaker 8 (13:45):
Is breaking new.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
The President signed in executive order that the people in
Chicago are banned from driving.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Is it worse than folk?
Speaker 5 (13:58):
What I'm just asking they wouldn't be able to own
a car they couldn't not a bike, motorcycle.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Kids can't ride no big wheel.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
The only fas. The only way theom folks don't get

Speaker 3 (15:08):

Speaker 2 (15:12):
You'll be easy to see a question if you found
seven forty five million dollars in a storage unit that
you paid for would you give it back?
Speaker 5 (15:22):
So I saw a clip on TikTok and they said,
if you hit the lottery at least for six months straight,
you don't say nothing to nobody, not even your mama.
So now I ain't give it nothing back. I ain't
give it nothing back. I found that money, so I.

Speaker 7 (16:21):
But I think my brother just got off of that.
Speaker 11 (16:22):
He said they trap it in Chicago head line. I
was cracking her blind.
Speaker 7 (16:27):
And then the other other.
Speaker 6 (16:29):
Point is about uh, Leila.
Speaker 11 (16:31):
I don't think she's doing nothing with my girl Clarissa.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Oh yeah, I don't know that would be I think
I would watch that.
Speaker 11 (16:40):
I don't watch it, but I'm still saying from me following.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Got a two numbers by hand.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
You know what I'm saying like me, I'm I'm gonna
save seize, see your seize, you know, I gotta get
some place.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Yeah yeah, Clarissa. So she tells us she told her
she was gonna put her on her back.
Speaker 6 (17:08):
She was standing, she told us, saying she didn't keep
She's standing by her word, you know, and say better
not to make about it and make a vout breaking.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
I ain't saying a breaking her.
Speaker 11 (17:20):
She talked herself.
Speaker 6 (17:21):
That girl talk stuff like Ali.
Speaker 11 (17:24):
And she do what she says. She's gonna do that
girl bad.
Speaker 6 (17:28):
And then about that money, About that money you're telling
about the six million whatever found I'm a preacher by
by tray right, I got three licenses and teaching it,
preaching it. Then the retired from corrections mess with them prisoners.
Speaker 7 (17:46):

sometime talking.
Speaker 3 (18:10):

put you on your back, that's what she said. Okay,
let's go back to the phones. W D I A hello.
Speaker 10 (18:31):
Okay, so I need to answer questions real quick.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
For you talk to me. I'm forgetful good money. It
was found in a storage unit.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
A man bought a storage unit for five hundred dollars
and he found a safe and it had seven point
five million dollars in it.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
How they open it up I don't know, but he when.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
I was reading the story, it said that he had
somebody try to open it and they couldn't get it open,
and so somebody else came to try to open it up.
Speaker 10 (19:02):
And they broke into safe.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
They got into it. Yeah, and that money.
Speaker 8 (19:08):
But the only you says he was in that room
to store it.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
That you bought pretty much? Is that blood money?
Speaker 5 (19:16):
Drug or drug money?
Speaker 10 (19:17):
Said, I'm not gonna put my life on it. The
young man these the right thing.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
He gave them.
Speaker 12 (19:23):
People back that money, Hey man, I want to spend it?
Speaker 10 (19:26):
He would you take you got one point five?
Speaker 9 (19:28):
Then?
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Yeah, they gave him. They give him about one point
some he ended up with almost one point five.
Speaker 12 (19:33):
He did the right thing because you don't think they're
gonna be on your storm and you taking that money
and them people ain't gonna come out to you.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
Man, you too, I mean I had well, I'm sure
he had to have somebody, you know, break into it,
like you said, to get it open.
Speaker 8 (19:52):
Yeah, you broke into it.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 10 (19:56):
I understand people, you know, when it comes to money,
it ain't.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
But then would ask you this because the dinner with Boat,
who's that story?
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Was?
Speaker 13 (20:07):
Though?
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Oh my god, which one talking about the city of
Memphis or the crime or what? Which one? Not crime
but the but the Memphis.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
You know, they say that the top most ten most
dangerous cities in the US, and Memphis is not.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
On the top ten.
Speaker 9 (20:23):
That's a good thing.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
So them are we?
Speaker 2 (20:26):
I didn't see the whole list, so I'm gonna look
it up and see where we are.
Speaker 9 (20:30):
Yeah, okay, it's a good thing we're not in the
top ten.
Speaker 3 (20:33):
Yeah, that's number one.
Speaker 12 (20:35):
Was that city he named the east Dangleure, then Dangleure.
Speaker 10 (20:39):
Then oh, let's turnround the area around.
Speaker 12 (20:41):
The Illinois area and Missouri and all that stuff. Oh, man,
it's bad up there.
Speaker 5 (20:46):
What other city you name?
Speaker 13 (20:47):

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Well, Beyonce, somebody robbed her when she was in Atlanta
over the weekend.
Speaker 10 (21:25):
And you were driving a red you said in twenty twenty.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Five one day.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
They yeah, they they figured it out. You can't be
robbing people nowadays. They're gonna find you how that happened
on it that's a good question.
Speaker 12 (21:38):
And she got so much money and all this stuff,
I mean, they just have you Sure ain't nobody trying
to get for in showance money?
Speaker 3 (21:45):

Speaker 5 (21:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
But whoever it is they gonna get, they're gonna get them.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Okay.
Speaker 12 (21:50):
The last thing you throwing me, you know, I called
you and then I didn't get no answer. The reason
I called was because I was down to him, and
I loved one day.
Speaker 10 (22:00):
That you could play my favorite song.
Speaker 12 (22:01):
It's the inspiration song they called Flamming Up to thenther
bout the Eyes.
Speaker 10 (22:05):
Of Bubblem because Storm I really been beat up today.
I'm trying to cheap my composure. But that song when

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Thank you, I forgetful. I appreciate you calling.
Speaker 14 (22:27):
Okay, all right, You're welcome back.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Yeah, yeah, man, Sometimes you need the song to lift
you up where you belong. But we play a lot
of those good songs on this radio station. Anyway, Listen,
I'm gonna take a break and we're gonna come back
and we're gonna talk some more. Eric Jackson, Clyde, Big Huna,
Lady d Tony from Brownsville.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
What's up, Tony?
Speaker 2 (22:49):
Listen, we gonna come back and talk to you guys.
If you want to get in on the conversation, you
can do it too.
Speaker 8 (22:53):
You're listening to the Stormy T Show.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
On Am ten seventy w D.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
I a ladies, I just won't let you know your
man get paid tomorrow. Okay, Okay, I'm sorry fellas, I'm sorry.
Oh my goodness, I'll be so sensitive anyway. Yeah, for
a lot of people, tomorrow is pay day. Anyway, let
me get back to the show. So a couple things
I want to mention to your First off, don't forget
about that slow poke law.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
That left lane could get you a ticket.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
That law.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
I believe it went too into effect already. It is
a Tennessee law too.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
If you're driving slow in that left lane, far left lane,
far could be a problem. Now, Memphis may Or Paul
Young sat down with Fox thirteen and he talked about
the future of Xai. So the first topic of conversation
was Xai. That's what they talked about, namely its movements
across the state lines in South Haven. Elon Musk, the
company's owner, recently announced the acquisition of an overseas power
(23:52):
plant that he intends to use to help power the
Xai supercomputer facility in southwest Memphis.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Okay, and Colossus two in White Haven.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Days later, our news partner Fox thirteen observed work being
done on a site in South Haven that could possibly
be the home to the Overseas power plant. Mary Jung
said he suspects that that will be the case. Okay,
White Haven.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Said, they want some new roads. They ready for it.
Bring that money on, bring it on.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Talk to us with that cash, show us the money,
make some improvements around here at any rate. Yeah, So
the power plant I thought was going to be here
in Memphis like it according to that story, that is
going to be down there. One good story I wanted
to share with you guys, because I don't know if
you saw it over the weekend. I saw it when
(24:50):
if the story first broken baby, I was praying for
that baby. So the story about the little seven year
old you probably saw the video right He was riding
his bicycle in his neighborhood this Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
That baby was riding his bike, seven years old, and
he got took. Somebody pulled up.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
I saw a picture of who the man was that
took him, And if I see that again, I'll see
if I can try to share it with you guys.
But cheers broke out because let me tell you the
word is that people crossed state lines to go to
Milwaukee to help find that baby. That's seven year old.
Cheers broke out.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Yeah, they were happy. Okay, seven year old was riding
his bike and Milwaukee was heard screaming for his dad.
He was found. Who I felt like them when I
saw that story. I was happy for that baby. Yeah,
he can't. I tell you to me.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
It's just I hate to say. It was kind of
at of the times. And if your children are going
to be outside, it might be the day to have
somebody monitor, okay, and just your grandchildren children, have somebody
outside on post watching making sure those babies are okay,
because that's what they go for, to go for the
(26:18):
kids and for elderly the vulnerable in our community.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
W D I a hello, hello day.
Speaker 10 (26:32):
How are you miss?
Speaker 3 (26:33):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 11 (26:34):
How are you?
Speaker 8 (26:35):
Tony P? From Brownville?
Speaker 3 (26:37):
What's up, Tony? I'm doing good.
Speaker 8 (26:41):
I just want to first of all, I want.
Speaker 15 (26:43):
To say, have birth to my daughter. She is twenty
six years old, Raven the cold. Also on what it
would have been thirty five years of marriage for myself.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
And Beverly Pete oh be universal.
Speaker 9 (27:01):
Yeah, but she passed away in twenty eighteen.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
But that's okay.
Speaker 9 (27:04):
Okay, one of the special moments.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
And you know, but things that stride we can't.
Speaker 15 (27:10):
We can't be out of shape about things that God
in his will and.
Speaker 8 (27:15):
His way, we believe in it.
Speaker 15 (27:18):
And I just wanted to say thank you for taking
my call and all that you do. She's supposed to
be listening and she's ammist. We have to let our
kids fly their wings, especially when we do the right
things with them, you know what I mean. And being
a single parent, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
Gonna say it's rough, but it's challenge.
Speaker 15 (27:42):
It's a challenge that I accept and we have to
accept then, you know.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (27:48):
And also I hear you talking about with the money.
Speaker 15 (27:52):
And people and stuff stuff, A lot of things go
through my mind. And and also I wanted to address
the issue of a lot of the guys that called
in and the Trump supporters.
Speaker 8 (28:06):
We can't get caught up in this rhetoric because that's
all it is.
Speaker 15 (28:12):
People think they're intelligent by following him.
Speaker 9 (28:16):
That's just rhetoric.
Speaker 8 (28:17):
Man.
Speaker 5 (28:17):
You know, let's let's stop.
Speaker 9 (28:19):
And I just I don't want to hinder your show.
Speaker 8 (28:21):
I thank you. I love you for everything you do.
Speaker 15 (28:23):
And I'm missing missus san Bell and I love me
some w G I I'm a supporter, great and I
thank you for all you do.
Speaker 9 (28:34):
And look for me on a Friday night. I'm coming
and when I.
Speaker 8 (28:42):
Come, I'm gonna let you know, please do yes, ma'am.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
So anyway, keep doing what you do.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
I hope my daughter is listening. And I just want
to be encouraging, you know, uh, and.
Speaker 15 (28:54):
And be informative about you know, Let's be strong.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Let's stand up.
Speaker 15 (28:58):
Let's be who we are, standing up as a people,
you know. Let's let's let's stop following for anything.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Let's let's be who we are.
Speaker 8 (29:06):
Let's do what we need to do to make us better,
and we can do it.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Got you all right? Thank you so much for calling in.
All right, all right you too? Bye? Bye? Yeah man
w D I A hello, Hello, Stormy Hey there, how
are you?
Speaker 5 (29:26):
Hey?
Speaker 7 (29:26):
What ub Stormy people?
Speaker 9 (29:31):
Happy Monday? Yeah Monday, Eric, thanks a lot.
Speaker 16 (29:35):
I haven't even called in over over three weeks. I
hadn't even been because I've been working on some things.
I just want to dress this. I just want to
address this person. Thank you for each of your opportunity
to hear me. You and your wonderful do the GI
family and bliss be stand bal. I just want to
say this. I noticed that last Thursday Friday, I tried
to not last Thursday Friday, but the last like two
(29:56):
weeks Thursday and Friday. I tried to call him the show,
but I left a message on that. Okay, it was
about the THIRSTI Friday. At the end of the week,
I was working on a community project with some people whatever.
And uh so the next Thursday of Friday, I was
in the corn of my arm and I heard my
name come up, and I'm like, okay, and it's talking
about uh you know Marriedith shook his skins and uh
(30:19):
you know married shook his I.
Speaker 10 (30:21):
Said that was over April of the month of April.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
I said, after after month's day.
Speaker 16 (30:26):
I said what I had to say because I couldn't
finish all my thought processes. Say what I had to
say to say to the audience through you say what
I had to say to the audience has been old
with a month and a half ago.
Speaker 10 (30:36):
I'm like, why are they still talking about that?
Speaker 9 (30:38):
Talking about half some tough skins.
Speaker 10 (30:39):
I've been through with that.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
It was since the month of eight Eric Eric little
Daddy had the same thing. It was old shows you
were listening to. Oh oh, yeah, thought I was on
I was I was on vacation. Yeah, see I had
not been tuned in. I told her I had not
even been from Friday.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (30:57):
I love I love some w D asked me the question.
Speaker 16 (31:01):
Any other questions that you want to ask me, whether
it's about the gross master product Trump or the same
point one minute point one point five million dollars.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Oh, no, you tell me what you want to tell me,
Go ahead, No, I just.
Speaker 11 (31:15):
I just want to.
Speaker 9 (31:15):
I just want to, just want to, just want.
Speaker 16 (31:17):
Just want just want to just see what you had
to say, which if you had to ask me, you
know when the answer. But uh, I appreciate this opportunity.
But if I had bought the land, if I had
the deeds to that land, I wouldn't tell nobody nothing.
Matter of fact, you wouldn't even know where I had
found seven point five million dollars, especially if I bought
the land and the deeds, I just take I get
(31:37):
that with. Since I bought the land, I was gonna
come in the country, say, moved to say and whatever
have you. But then it's it's it's it's it's subjunctive
because then right people come look after you, will come
come in coming after you then and ask for maybe
and then they offer.
Speaker 8 (31:51):
Me six hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 16 (31:52):
I'm like, okay, I'm gonna deal with make them give
me a million.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
Then you can get the rest. You know.
Speaker 13 (31:58):
You're doing somebody I love his experience.
Speaker 9 (32:01):
Thanks a lot, t d I A wonderful day.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Do you two love you w d I A hello
good egainst me? What's that big KHOONA?
Speaker 14 (32:14):
I'm doing absolutely bothering wonder. I'm gonna talk about a
few two topics. That's quick as possibles.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (32:20):
The first one is when Ibody found that seven point
five million.
Speaker 5 (32:25):
Of course I would have had.
Speaker 14 (32:26):
To cut a deal too, because if you try to
keep your money your tell how you're gonna spend it,
that's gonna be down on your back as soon as
you're going to shopping.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Not if they don't know you got it, big huna,
if they don't.
Speaker 14 (32:37):
Know, but if you guys understand, if you're making purchases,
oh well well you can rent out house it, but
you got to account for that money.
Speaker 8 (32:48):
And that's just the bottom line on that.
Speaker 9 (32:50):
Now.
Speaker 14 (32:51):
Okay, now let me ask you a question now I
want to do a spind right quick. Okay, Now you've
haven't seen the NBA finals, right? The who in basketball?
NBA Finals? You know basketball?
Speaker 3 (33:06):
I didn't. I didn't. I didn't really watch it this year.
I really watched.
Speaker 14 (33:10):
Okay, all right, Well, you know in the end, when
they win, they gets the trophy and all of that.
Speaker 5 (33:16):
Correct.
Speaker 9 (33:16):
Even in hockey you get.
Speaker 14 (33:18):
The Lord Stanley Cup trophy and all that when you win.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
And then baseball have a guy what it is.
Speaker 14 (33:25):
But okay, now, the other night, I think it was
last night.
Speaker 5 (33:30):
You know, the.
Speaker 14 (33:32):
Fifer Club World Cup Trophy was given to Chelsea because
they won last night.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Correct. You don't know nothing about that? Right?
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Oh yeah, I've talked about it. I just mentioned it
a few minutes ago.
Speaker 9 (33:48):
Okay.
Speaker 14 (33:48):
And and you know now he up there on stage
looking like a bumpman, idiot or whatever it is. That
of course, the man's in mental decline. And my prediction
here he won't last another year or two. We be
rid of him one way or the other. But now
this is what causes me.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
Stormy.
Speaker 14 (34:09):
He has the unmitigated goal to give those people a
replica trophy. They are there taking pictures and all of that,
and he don't had Jack the trophy and got him
in his office. I've never I'm telling your Stormy, people
can support this mad man if they want us, but
(34:30):
that makes no earthless sense. Something is seriously wrong with
that man and people need to get on board to
get him out to wait and this is the place
to be with Stormy t the experience ten seventy wd
I A thank you very.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
Much, all right, big Kahuna, thank you very much. Appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Chiming in w D I A hello, Hello, Stormy. You're
right to it, Jackson, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (35:06):
Jackson?
Speaker 5 (35:07):
Good, good evening. This is to listen to little Daddy
and everybody that rode the bus with him. The Stormy
was on vacation. If you listen closely, she'll give the
date of the show. When she talks talk about you,
you'll say this is July and fourteenth, So listen people.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
That's oh Jackson, now layoff, now, come on, now, layoff.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Let me trying to put me deeply in that hole.
And I don't want to be in that hole.
Speaker 5 (35:42):
Before I get about something, let me let me explain
the slow poke lane, the.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Slow poke law, the slow poke law.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
You have the slow poke law lane. If you're in
the far left lane and it's not heavy track, it's
a lot that goes with that law and it's not
heavy traffic. The left lane is designed just for passing,
not driving, So it doesn't matter how fast you're going.
(36:13):
If you're in the left lane and there's no traffic
in front of you, you have to get over to
the right. It's the only designed for passing. There's a
lot that goes on.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
So if the speed limit is sixty five and I
go seventy when I pass someone, am I going to
get a ticket?
Speaker 5 (36:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Did you want to explain it?
Speaker 5 (36:38):
No, I've heard, you know. I have some friends in
law enforcement, and it right, And they told me.
Speaker 1 (36:49):
That.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
They told me.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
Do they eat doughnuts too? I'm asking for a friend.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
And the best donuts is now I can't say it.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
I know you know, I know you know.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
It's over there, Pop Avenue. It's over there, a pop
l Avenue by broker.
Speaker 8 (37:12):
Okay, all right, I knew, I knew, Okay, and go ahead.
Speaker 5 (37:18):
The baseball trophy is called the Commissioner's Trophy. It's the
only trophy that's not named after a person okay, let
me get let me get you my subject.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Watch Trump break it though, What why you do that?
Speaker 5 (37:34):
I didn't know he broke it. I don't know the
funny you know everything and that Trump does by mistake.
You know, you people have to blow it out of proportion.
You never talk about his policies or anything.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Wait a minute, who are you calling you people?
Speaker 5 (37:51):
That's wrong with you?
Speaker 16 (37:54):
Jackson?
Speaker 5 (37:55):
And I really enjoyed the first call after the break.
Let me get to my point before you let.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
Me go, because I hate people that ramble on about
to do it.
Speaker 5 (38:07):
I keep saying that message crime is down, and you
just reiterated my point, message crime is down, and negroes
running horses. You said, if if for the governor, if
people would get a consensus negro But so so you're saying,
(38:28):
just vote from somebody because they're black and they're gonna win.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
I'm saying, well, yeah, no.
Speaker 5 (38:40):
The only time I agree with that is when Obama
was in, when he ran because we wanted to make
history and.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
He's so, why can't they do that for Shelby kind
of government? Why can't if they all come together, because
all of them you know there, I'm.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
It's six of them.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
So at least at least three or four of them
are good. Okay, So why can't they all come together
and say, hey, we're we're gonna bow out and let
just just to be example, you know, for an example,
and let Michael Lowry run against Coon.
Speaker 5 (39:12):
Isn't there isn't there a runoffs in the governor's race.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
The governor now does. Now see that's a different race.
I'm talking about Shelby County mayor. Because the governor's race,
that's Jerry Jerry Green, who's a Memphis Shelby County she's
a councilwoman.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Uh, she's on the Memphis City Council. She's running for governor.
Speaker 5 (39:32):
We don't need to come together make a consensus, black person.
Speaker 9 (39:37):
County, all right, we.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
Want the best we want we want the best person.
And how much money you're talking about?
Speaker 3 (39:42):
Bye Jackson, goodbye, goodbye?
Speaker 5 (39:51):
How much money? How much money you got?
Speaker 2 (39:54):
My man saying that to me, Jackson, I'm jealous, goobye,
how much money.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
I'm gonna let you go, child loved. Everybody got time
for that.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
We got people holding on up and nil, I'm going
to the to the other lines, but I gotta do it.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
When I come back, we're talking. Who would you?
Speaker 17 (40:20):
What are you for that?
Speaker 2 (40:21):
If they all did comeing to So we got six
people running for seven running for Shelby County Mayor Okay, JB. Smiley,
Rusty Qualls, Mikhail Lowry, Heidi Kohon, Uh, J W. Gibson,
Harold Collins, Merlvin Burgess. Six of those names.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
Happened to be black men.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
If they came together and got one person to run
for that office, do you think they'd give Heidi a
run for her money?
Speaker 3 (40:52):
Who would win? What do you think about it?
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Hit me up and let me know not on one
five three, five, nine, three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two eight three three five
three five nine three four two.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
We'll be back in a moment.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
But I'm glad that he is Okay, and I'm glad
he's getting a chance to, you know, take some time off. Yeah,
let's see here, got an email here from Reginald County
Mayor's race. Uh, thank you for being a resource to
the community regarding the County mayor's race. I wouldn't say
the focus should be on having a black or white candidate.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
What needed.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
What's needed is simply the right candidate. Now, that's that's good,
right now, that's good. But I'm saying, out of the
six black people that's run. It's what I'm saying, out
of the six, there's a.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
Good one in there.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
Come on, now, come on, you can't. You can't taill me.
It's one good But hid he might be good too,
Hid he might be good too. So I mean, hey, hey,
there are many challenges. This is what that he continues
to say. There are many challenges facing the county. But
if we could prioritize and focus on three to four
(41:58):
major issues, it would move us into the right direction.
That's what we need from the candidates, collective focus on
the county's most pressing needs. If that kind of allowed
alignment existed, I believe the field of candidates would naturally narrow,
driven by a shared commitment to real solutions rather than
(42:21):
individual agendas.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
That's good, Regid. Let me do you something them. Individual
agendas can be a problem every time. You hear every time,
and so somebody tapped in on that.
Speaker 2 (42:34):
iHeartRadio app well offers and mephis they do it despictive vote,
that's why they do it every time. M Okay, well,
let's go back to the phones and see what you
guys are talking about today.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
WD. I A hello Stormy brother, but nod how you
doing on this beautiful Monday.
Speaker 8 (42:57):
I'm well, Stormy.
Speaker 5 (42:59):
You know what saw me?
Speaker 17 (43:00):
What with a lot of candidates running for the for
the Chelby County Mayor's office, you know, I urged the
voters to pay attention to a couple of things. Pay
attention to what these people are doing already, and pay
attention to what their concrete plans are as far as
(43:26):
addressing the issues.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
That are important to them.
Speaker 17 (43:31):
Because they can go general as far as their ideas
and their plans, but what are the what are the
concrete plans?
Speaker 1 (43:40):
You know?
Speaker 17 (43:40):
That is whoever can get the closest to the plan,
to the strategies and then offering solutions that that needs
to be the person, whether that is Heidi Kohn, whether
that is dab Smiley or Michelle Larry, whoever that is.
Speaker 8 (43:56):
But we need strategy, we need con your plans.
Speaker 17 (44:01):
It's something that's achievable and if we put put them
as far as saying, well, what what's the timeline on that?
After you get an offer, but concrete plans? Who who
will not be in the way of them achieving those
goals and so on. But there is a way to
pretty much eliminate different candidates if you know what to
(44:23):
look for when they're.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
Talking, m M, what's that way? How do you think
we do it?
Speaker 5 (44:29):
Well?
Speaker 9 (44:29):
You have to examine them storming.
Speaker 17 (44:32):
You have to pay attention to what, how close, how
how realistic are they about plans? You know, where are
the resources going to come from? What amount of the
budget are you going to.
Speaker 5 (44:44):
Use use to achieve this?
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Who is who is going to help you achieve this?
Speaker 5 (44:49):
What area is it going to impact? What?
Speaker 9 (44:52):
What is what is going to be the projected outcome?
And and and pretty much.
Speaker 17 (44:57):
Hold the hold their plans to the fire and let
them because, believe me, running for office is not something
that people just get in for fun.
Speaker 4 (45:08):
On this is this.
Speaker 17 (45:09):
If they're about business, it's work, and so put them
to work while they're running. And also, and I'll let
us off on this note, pay attention to what they're
already doing. If they're holding golf tournaments for the for
the rich and famous, then they might not be a
fit for the Shelby Countyons. For the Shelby Countyons who
(45:30):
are in South messhis and so on. So pay attention
to the actions, because you can learn a lot if
you pay attention to the right thing.
Speaker 9 (45:39):
But I love your show.
Speaker 17 (45:41):
I love to hear everyone that comments and times is
is definitely to show a lot of fun, a lot
of information.
Speaker 9 (45:47):
And I hope you listens listen on.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
Thank you sting me.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
All right, You're welcome. Thank you, brother Bernard. I appreciate you,
I really do. Yeah, that's interesting. I'm curious because if
I'm not mistaken that y'all tell me if I'm wrong.
Almost all of those candidates are Democrats, even Heidi. Y'all
tell me if I'm wrong. Somebody tell me if I'm wrong.
(46:15):
But somebody's got to run against somebody for there to
be an election. I mean, well, I guess not. I
mean you can run and be running by yourself and
there could be a write in you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
I don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (46:29):
Yeah, a lot of people always want these positions and
and I don't know, maybe their hearts are in the
right places.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
Hey, I don't know. Clyde, let me apologize because you
were supposed to be out the gate. How you doing, Clyde.
Speaker 9 (46:43):
I'm just enjoying.
Speaker 13 (46:47):
I'm throwing my support behind me the budgets, you know, and.
Speaker 8 (46:53):
Luci Bana, I mean, hey, he was deed on point.
Need to do your homework.
Speaker 13 (46:58):
See what they're doing now, you know, uh, see what
they did in the past.
Speaker 8 (47:03):
Since they've been in the office.
Speaker 5 (47:05):
You know.
Speaker 13 (47:05):
So I'm throwing my support behind me bullets because I
think the rest of them a joke. And one thing
I do know, they're not gonna put no woman in
that office.
Speaker 9 (47:13):
ThM, hold on, hold on, hold on on.
Speaker 13 (47:20):
I told stand Bill the same thing.
Speaker 8 (47:21):
They wont gonna put a woman in cloth at office.
Speaker 13 (47:24):
And anybody really cuted me for that, But I'm telling
you to him, they're.
Speaker 9 (47:28):
Not gonna put They're not gonna get put.
Speaker 13 (47:30):
In an office on And then you got to see, uh,
who's the White Power brothers is really put in there
just to be in the race. Some of all them
guys that's in the race because no White Power Brothers
don't pay them to get in the raise. You think something,
you really so, yeah, that's how do you how do
you think the Murray Raids got messed up because don't
(47:52):
white power broke and put certain people in that race
because they didn't want doctor Harron to to get that
office back, so they put all them.
Speaker 9 (48:01):
People, and a lot of them people they put it off.
Speaker 8 (48:05):
They already know they were gonna win.
Speaker 13 (48:06):
They didn't care. They just they just took that money
and put their name on the list. It's all about politics.
Speaker 5 (48:14):
I'm telling you, the.
Speaker 13 (48:17):
White the white power broke and put in the office
who they want an offer, and then they run the office.
Speaker 8 (48:23):
You're just the face of the office.
Speaker 5 (48:26):
You know.
Speaker 13 (48:26):
When I tell you this song, and when it comes
down to the money storm.
Speaker 8 (48:30):
I'm gonna just like that manded. I'mnna get my lawyers.
With my lawyer, gonna get.
Speaker 13 (48:35):
Some money and then you're gonna pay me what I
want and y'all get the rest of you'll money.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
So basically you saying you're gonna do like the TV
show and make a deal.
Speaker 8 (48:45):
I won't to make a deal.
Speaker 9 (48:46):
Yes, I ain't got time to be looking on my
back throm and.
Speaker 13 (48:48):
It didn't worry about no iris and all that right there.
Speaker 8 (48:52):
They don't know you got that money.
Speaker 5 (48:55):
Tell me you got that money.
Speaker 13 (48:56):
That's why they put That's why they had the money.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
He get until somebody tell on you might snitch, you know,
get somebody do that.
Speaker 13 (49:02):
But see, but what this wife back in the day,
you put all your money in no bank, supposed to
banks to get a hot day.
Speaker 8 (49:10):
They ain't got no money. You're supoted keep no money
in it. Some were mmmm.
Speaker 13 (49:16):
I mean I understood with them what them people doing,
That's why they That's why they were having their money.
So they would have to pay taxes on their money.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
Either that or it was dirty.
Speaker 13 (49:28):
Well what I mean, you know had to have some
there was some fun and money, but they couldn't. They
wouldn't let nobody know about it. That that money right there,
you keep out of sight, out of mine. I don't
know what bighna talk about, cause you ain't gonna go
out there.
Speaker 8 (49:42):
They'll be spending no big water money like that right there.
Speaker 9 (49:46):
You ain't gonna do that right there. You want to
spend that money if you already got a nine job
majorityan I'm sposed to have had their money.
Speaker 8 (49:56):
So they already was sick.
Speaker 13 (49:58):
They had their houses and told us us up mm hm.
Adding on to that money and putting that money up,
keep it out and keep keeping out in the turn
of revenue eye sight, hmmmmmm.
Speaker 3 (50:11):
You take care of him all right, Clyde.
Speaker 2 (50:13):
Yeah, you know what, I might have misspoke a minute
ago about Trump. I do like to say, if I'm
gonna say something about it, I do like to be
right he where it is. You know he hijacked that event.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
I don't. I was trying to read the articles to
see if he took the trophy.
Speaker 2 (50:28):
But there there are some places that are saying, but
I don't know if they are reputable sites that are
saying he took the trophy for himself. So I don't
know if you know if that's fact.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
But do know he hijacked it.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
Baby.
Speaker 3 (50:42):
Folks were like, what is he doing up here? When
he went to the event? And he didn't.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
He didn't break it or anything like that, but he
was there and that that the one of the guys
who got the who was getting ready for the trophy
up in the air, he said. They were asking him,
you're gonna stay up at what you're gonna do?
Speaker 3 (50:57):
I Trump wouldn't move. Hey, hey, I ain't gonna say
about that. M M m W D I A hello, hello,
saw me te Hey lady d how you doing.
Speaker 10 (51:09):
I'm good and.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
I'm good, glad to be here on this Monday.
Speaker 11 (51:15):
I know because.
Speaker 7 (51:16):
Somebody didn't make it. But he woke you up and
he said, get up, you right mind, bad girl. Every
day I thank him because somebody didn't wake because till
I get on the ball, they no idea. On a
talk toget look told that the left blame. The only
(51:40):
way I'm being that left flame. Like I told you weather,
it's two people, four people, five's to get out the
way because they come through there. If you look at
me and.
Speaker 8 (51:52):
YO will be me.
Speaker 7 (51:53):
Somebody tef to fie you met a hundred and tept
to bide off. You WoT say where you been driving
it on that breakway. Honey, you better put that trouble
to them.
Speaker 11 (52:08):
Now.
Speaker 7 (52:09):
Left you in that left lank and make sure ain't
nobody to the right of you. That's all the way
I'm being that left Like dag gonna kill you. I'll
be saying to myself, you hold along, let me get
over and you can kill yourself. You go really really fast,
come most of them stand up crashing. Now, let's this
(52:32):
our first.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
You really know you right, lady, You really gotta be
careful sometimes you just it's best to just.
Speaker 3 (52:37):
Get on out the way.
Speaker 7 (52:40):
That's this, and you tell about shorty. It's just this,
like right now now, if somebody blessed me with that
kind of money, because the guy was blessed with it
he found and then they blessed him. Now if they
gave him that money, and if they gave him cash,
monk and you better listen to clad. And unless he
(53:04):
put that money in the bank and he started right
here now. But this is what I would do. The
first person I would bless, believe it or not, out
of all the people that if it's too fast. Number one,
what's up Stalar, raise straight, raise brother, my good friend Scalar,
(53:29):
raise my good friend Stalar Ray and his good lovely wife.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
Dever Hay Dever.
Speaker 7 (53:37):
And the other one would be nonprofit red wings. Normal
red wings't have to wear about the children another of
their believe it in my stormy I tell you what
I'm saying, I ain't got no money now, the stormy
tea would be on my list like you wycausin look
(53:59):
like you said.
Speaker 10 (54:00):
It's it's quite a few people in my circle.
Speaker 7 (54:03):
That in my family members. I would buy my sister
a house and she would not have to worry about.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
Nothing else and believe or not, the rest of it
the rest of it.
Speaker 7 (54:22):
The I unders I was the church, then you let
me say I would give it to the church. I
just name too, because most of the church they blessed
a bodily. And then I would just keep blessing people
because believe it or not, people don't believe it. You
(54:43):
can't be God give it. You give away everything you
give away, it's coming back to you now.
Speaker 8 (54:51):
People don't believe it.
Speaker 7 (54:52):
But that's the life I live, die and out of
that prince, y'all, I.
Speaker 3 (54:57):
Ain't even you better get up. I was that fucker started.
Speaker 7 (55:02):
Up there big and he abundantly bliss. But I think
when child just be talking, I don't think he I
think he just be talking. It's a giver. But that's
what I would do him. Installment. Speaking of that one story,
I want you to google. When you said the baby,
(55:24):
I'm like, oh yeah, it made me cry.
Speaker 10 (55:27):
This family was at.
Speaker 7 (55:29):
A casino and this little baby he was almost dead
and his mama.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
What town was there?
Speaker 2 (55:37):
But at any rate, okay, i'd I'll tell you what
I'm on.
Speaker 3 (55:41):
Google it, okay.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
But when you said you lost me, when you said
they were dead, I was getting on And thank you lady, ded.
Speaker 3 (55:51):
I was getting on my man because he likes to
tell me about stories like that all the time.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
I'd be like, hey, don't you know, I'll be reading
terrible stories for a lit.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
On my own on my own free time.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
I'm not.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
I'm not googling that, not on my own free time.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
Now.
Speaker 3 (56:08):
Uh uh, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (56:08):
Gonna be able to do it. Let's see here, w
d I A hello, mister Red Wayne.
Speaker 10 (56:14):
Hey, so some fantastic what's going around?
Speaker 3 (56:17):
Your name just came up on the on the Blessed
Me donation list I heard.
Speaker 1 (56:23):
I heard man, thank you, lady me, thank you for
always thinking about it, because God knows we don't do
it for money, but we need money to do it.
Speaker 10 (56:31):
Mm hm, I appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (56:33):
I really do.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
You know, I'm going I would listen to brother, but
God and he is so right, you know, I don't.
I can't say that white people that white people do
write checks and making people to.
Speaker 9 (56:46):
Do anything, because I can't say because I.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
Don't know unless I see it and know it and done.
Speaker 10 (56:52):
I'm just talking. I don't know that as a fact right. However,
I do know that we.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
Need to go back and do like see I did
many years ago, bring those candidates in and really really
question them, get to know what their playing is, their goals,
and then ask them questions about what it is that
you're going to do well we're concerned not just what
you want to do, but what we want to do.
Then we can pick from one of those candidates and
(57:21):
make a decision that we all will get behind that
particular candidate. I think everybody has a right to run.
I think anybody and everybody who have a goal and
a passion to do the work or to be able
to run. I know that sometimes when we do that,
we divide, we cut each other out. But you know,
(57:42):
but everybody still have a right to run, regardless of
what you know, I think how I feel about it.
If I decide I want to run, it doesn't matter
how many other people in there. I'm going to run
because I want to run because I want to do
something different, and I hope that I have got enough
work in the community, done work where people know that
I'm genuine and gazun that.
Speaker 10 (58:04):
They will vote for me.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
So you know, it doesn't matter who that person is,
as long as they have we know the work that
they've done.
Speaker 5 (58:12):
Like Brother Bana said, what have we done.
Speaker 1 (58:14):
In the community?
Speaker 3 (58:16):
Jackson said for me lately?
Speaker 9 (58:19):
What have you done for me lately?
Speaker 1 (58:21):
And there are some people out there that have done
some absolutely wonderful work, and many of them have never
run for an office, which I think will be some
of them will be the best candidas for those officers
because they genuinely have a passion to do the work
and they're doing the work. Jasuine Crockett and Clothing. It's
a young lady that I just love dearly. I love
(58:43):
her so much because I see the work that she
has done. She don't mind calling names, she don't mind.
She gonna do it and do it because there's right
to do. And I admound people like her.
Speaker 3 (58:54):
Went to school in Memphis too. She went to school
in Memphis.
Speaker 10 (58:56):
She she sure did.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
She went to Rhodes College right John Harth Parkway. So,
and people like Sister Something and Michael Lisa Thomas. There
are people like them that I know and in many
of us have done great work even before they got on.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (59:12):
So there's a lot of.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
Wonderful people out there who have done the work. Uh.
Speaker 9 (59:16):
And I just say, you know, we just have to
you know, like they said, we have to have a conversation.
Speaker 1 (59:20):
With him, have meeting with them and find out what
are you gonna do for us? And I will say
this specifically, what are you gonna do for the black community.
We are a majority, We're specially for mayors. How many
contracts are we're gonna get? Now before you go in there,
we need a commitment them. How many black contractors are
(59:40):
gonna be able to get? And more than that, how
many black women black businesses. And I'm gonna tell you,
I'll vote for a woman in our heartbeat.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
A woman in a heartbeat. I got you, mister Norman,
Thank you, my sister all Ray, You're welcome. Thank you.
I'm gonna tell you something. Maybe Heidi Koon is the
one for the job. I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 10 (01:00:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:00:05):
I'm gonna do my research, and I hope you guys
do the same thing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
I'm not gonna count her out just because she's Caucasian,
you know what I'm saying, or any of them.
Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
Honestly, I want to know who's man.
Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
It's one thing, you know what, This is the part
of people running for office that I just like campaign
promises and then when you get in office, you do
not keep them.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
And I honestly think that that's why a lot of folks.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
Voted for Donald Trump, because they didn't think he was
gonna keep some of his campaign promises. They just, ah,
he just talking. Ah, he's just talking. He told you,
didn't he what he was gonna he told you? Yeah,
So that's the big thing the campaign promises.
Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
Are you gonna keep them?
Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
All Right?
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
We got a few more minutes and then I'm gonna
come back and get you that a classic TV throwback,
Michael common Man, mister west y'all, hang on, We're gonna
come back. Nine o one five three five, nine three
four two eight hundred five zero three nine three four
two eight three three five three five nine three four two.
Those are the numbers to get at me and tap
in on that IR radio app or email me Stormy
(01:01:25):
t at my WDA dot you talk and a lot
of talk about what's happening around here in Memphis. So elon,
Musk got that x AI let me see, No, he
got a let's see what it is? It went and
bought him a power center. Yeah, acquisition, He announced the
acquisition of an overseas power plant. He word is he
(01:01:52):
flew that thing over here, Yo, a power plant? Where'd
they do that at?
Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
And is that how they usually?
Speaker 9 (01:02:00):
What?
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
I thought you build power plants from, you know, ground up?
Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
But he flew it in a lot of people on
social media they were teasing say the saying, you know,
he got it from TIMU, but he didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
I'm sure he didn't do that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
But at any rate, the power plant, from what they're saying,
is going to be in south Haven, and I am
curious about how south Haven feels about that. Mississippi the
folks in Mississippi now how they feel about that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:27):
And it's supposed to.
Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
Power the computer, Oh Groke or Grock Groke show whatever
his name is x AI inside it it houses the.
Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
I guess Grok is what the name of the computer is.
And so it's on his ex platform.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
And the other day I told y'all last week that
Grok was on there with them anti Semitic comments, right,
and just talking, just talking, talking talking. You know a
lot of people saying if the computer is saying that,
somebody said it to him, how would he notice it?
Speaker 3 (01:03:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
All I know is Gronk has apologized the computer that's
on x it apologized for the comments I get you not.
I'm just saying that's I I'm just saying, all right,
let's go back to the phone and see what you
guys are talking about today.
Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
W D I A hello, I understoring.
Speaker 8 (01:03:27):
How you doing today?
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
I'm doing good, Michael. How are you feeling?
Speaker 9 (01:03:30):
Doing just fine?
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Wonderful?
Speaker 10 (01:03:33):
I want of the comment on with brother Blenard. Brother
Lenard was absolutely right, Clyde was eight right, and brother
red Wing he was right also, I said Clyde because
he was absolutely right about the white power broke. See,
people in this town only want to talk about race
(01:03:54):
when they see that black people being treated a certain
way because they're black.
Speaker 9 (01:03:58):
You need to look at what he's saying.
Speaker 10 (01:04:00):
Those three words white power brokers. The people the powers
that be don't look like us. And we can see
here and time about.
Speaker 5 (01:04:07):
I know and so on.
Speaker 10 (01:04:08):
So they got money, so you have the money doesn't
give you power. Power is being able to control systems,
the tickings in place that people have to adhere to,
even people with money, because if you're black with money,
you're never too You're never rich enough to where you
can't be touched.
Speaker 9 (01:04:24):
You got a white people in this country, generational money.
Speaker 5 (01:04:27):
It doesn't matter what they do.
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
None never gonna happen to me.
Speaker 9 (01:04:31):
And I disagree with him because you.
Speaker 10 (01:04:32):
Said a woman wouldn't win. He was right about Kamala,
but not necessarily. Kamala wasn't a good candidate. I know
some people are gonna be upset, sorry, folks, but if
you go back to twenty twenty, she didn't even She
was the first candidate drop out of the primary because
she did not have the support of the party this time.
Biden stepped out and they had no truck, like okay, here,
(01:04:56):
let's just give it to her. And she did well
against Trump in the bates. Sure, Trumpton ediot, So that's
not hard. He did will against Biden in debate because mentally,
Biden's just.
Speaker 5 (01:05:07):
Not where he is.
Speaker 10 (01:05:09):
That's the problem with the Democrats. You have to own
the fact that your candidy does not lockstep. He's not
where he needs to be. She wasn't a good candidate,
so she wasn't going to win. They knew that in
twenty twenty. She knew get in twenty twenty.
Speaker 9 (01:05:22):
So Democrats formed this on their own.
Speaker 5 (01:05:26):
They formed on their own.
Speaker 10 (01:05:27):
As far as people here, numerous people running for office black.
Speaker 9 (01:05:32):
Folks in this town, start me do the same thing.
Speaker 10 (01:05:34):
And Claude was absolutely right. They do pay these negroes
to Montholine's officers.
Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
You think so, Michaels always done it.
Speaker 10 (01:05:43):
Yeah, they've always done it. What you were talking about
a contented candidate, You were talking about the People's Convention.
That's what shep with and all those guys got together
and did back in the nineties, if he ever happened
to do. Because black people want the same now as
they were done with sheep and with willing sheep. And
you can get us and get us with sheep and
(01:06:06):
the powers that be no good if you look at
so many people again, it's accountability and what brother Mina
was saying, look at where they're raising money, Look at
who they're raising money from, Look at where they're doing it.
The corporate takeovers aren't done in boardrooms. They're done in
waffle house now on the golf course. That's where the
(01:06:27):
deals are cut. So you have to look at who
they have, look at their platform.
Speaker 9 (01:06:33):
And you said it too, staring me in your break
campaign promises.
Speaker 10 (01:06:37):
And I fought the folks in Memphis, and I keep
saying it because Mentis loves all them and Davis off
good time.
Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
They love them, memphors love them and Davids all good.
Speaker 10 (01:06:48):
They do they do because you get on TV and
you active fool and here we go there to get
mad when somebody says, hey, man, you know.
Speaker 7 (01:06:57):
Is not doing the job.
Speaker 10 (01:06:58):
You ain't gonna talk about our black men. I don't
want to hit that crap. They're not doing their job.
Speaker 1 (01:07:02):
I don't care what cold they are, but I think
Hardy has a family.
Speaker 10 (01:07:06):
DC chances one because I assure you more than a
couple of those negroes and paper running.
Speaker 8 (01:07:11):
Wow.
Speaker 11 (01:07:12):
All right, thank you, thank you, miss So.
Speaker 10 (01:07:15):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
All right, I appreciate you. Wait, WD, I.
Speaker 8 (01:07:19):
A hello, Hello, Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (01:07:24):
Starting?
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
How much? Mister West? How you doing?
Speaker 8 (01:07:27):
I'm all right.
Speaker 5 (01:07:29):
I know we're gonna be kingfolks after the light because
I'm gonna get you two hundred and fifty million.
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
Dollars botall that cousin.
Speaker 5 (01:07:40):
Yeah, yes, yeah, I'm listening to everybody telling me how
to spend that money and what to do with it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:47):
Somebody said on you was gonna tell nobody for six months.
Speaker 8 (01:07:50):
But that's seventeen million.
Speaker 5 (01:07:52):
Well, I ain't gonna talk to nobody.
Speaker 8 (01:07:55):
For two years with that two hundred and fifty million.
Speaker 10 (01:07:57):
So I just all I see you in a while.
Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
Could all right, cousin, thank you for checking in.
Speaker 5 (01:08:04):
Okay, hey, hold on old day, I want to I
want to give you an example of h organized crime.
If you can remember, remember what I told you back
and uh winter that uh they had a pattern of
crime where they started downtown and uh they go to
(01:08:25):
Highland Heights area and then they go to.
Speaker 14 (01:08:28):
A phraser, then they come to uh midtown Coopy Young.
Speaker 5 (01:08:31):
Are remember I told you that.
Speaker 9 (01:08:33):
You remember that, You see it happening.
Speaker 5 (01:08:37):
You see all the stuff being set up in uh
Coopy Young area here lately.
Speaker 8 (01:08:42):
And now next they're.
Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
Gonna go to uh around southern Heritic town. Somebody always
come up ship right there on that time now around
uh around the Liberty Boat. And uh that's what you
call organized crime. I know, I know the mess behind
me in probably ain't see it, but I can see
it clans to day. And Uh I wanted to tell
(01:09:05):
Lady d that them folks that came to town, one
of the one the that's of God, they were thereby
and they bought ten million dollars ten billion dollars with them,
and they are here now and if they need some help,
they need to let me show them what to do
that ten billion dollars. Let me be in the racer.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Cousin. All right, all right, all right, have a go
with mister West. Thank you for calling in. Appreciate you.
W d I A hello.
Speaker 8 (01:09:38):
Hey, hey, what's the tuner?
Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
Can't call it coming man, can't do it?
Speaker 8 (01:09:43):
Everything everything did?
Speaker 18 (01:09:45):
Yeah, hey, yeah, brother, But no, he made a good
point when he said, look at what they're doing beforehand.
Speaker 8 (01:09:52):
But the thing I hate most about uh.
Speaker 18 (01:09:55):
Camp people campaign a run for these different positions is
one of the things you said. They make promises and
most of the time they know they can't keep the
promise because their position In some cases like this, the
mayor or or state representative, it's not solely up to
them to make decisions regarding things that they may have
a campaign on. The mayor don't run the city alone.
(01:10:18):
City council has a lot to do with a lot
of stuff that pertained to the city.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
They have to be.
Speaker 18 (01:10:22):
Approved by them before the mayor can can move forward
with it, so he's not in total control like some
people may think. Just where the state representatives. They have
to have other people to vote along with them to
get a be a pass. They can't just do it
alone by themselves, you know. So and they know this
before they even go into the office. But a lot
of times they'll make these promises.
Speaker 5 (01:10:43):
You know.
Speaker 18 (01:10:45):
As for that money, it was dirty and I clean
it right on up. If I get it, I'm down
CEPN point five is man is mine?
Speaker 3 (01:10:55):
Okay, but looks very fight with me, right right?
Speaker 15 (01:10:59):
Come on?
Speaker 8 (01:10:59):
Canroll?
Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
Oh you know, but take you out. You said they
bought a storage right, so.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
Yeah, somebody bought the property and then they bought a
storage unit. In that storage unit was the safe with
all that money?
Speaker 9 (01:11:14):
Yeah, so that was a story that you bring to
your house and you didn't me like a storage who
like you stored it?
Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
Yeah, no, it's not. It was it was on the property. No,
it was a storage unit. Uh huh like where you
take then the storage? Yeah, it was a it was
a safe in there. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:11:32):
Yeah, that's man.
Speaker 18 (01:11:33):
And as part as the government and ours.
Speaker 11 (01:11:35):
Man, there's no law.
Speaker 9 (01:11:37):
There's no law against manning money.
Speaker 18 (01:11:38):
There wouldn't be nothing I would have to have from
the government or the irs if I wanted to take it.
That wouldn't be a problem at all. Okay, but that's man,
that's gone. Yeah, that's done. I'm done with that.
Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
Okay, appreciate all right, come on, man, thank you so
much for calling. I appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Yeah, w d I A hello, yes, staring greetings, greetings
and salutations.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Markers, how are you. I'm doing fantastic, fantastic.
Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
Okay, So, Stami, you know, I am a firm believer
that way about black folks make up the mast majority
of the population. Black folks must cuntual economics and balley
politics of that community.
Speaker 8 (01:12:28):
That is intelligence.
Speaker 5 (01:12:30):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
Evidently, Memphis, we do not cuntual the economics. Okay, we
do not because the only countual points zero two percent
of the local economy.
Speaker 5 (01:12:42):
Not even one percent.
Speaker 9 (01:12:44):
And what you said here about those candidates, you are right.
Speaker 4 (01:12:47):
What Clyde said is correct, STARMI say, in order for
a white supremacy to rule, you know, they both recruit
from the same group they oppress. So they recruit these
clowns and pay them trinkets, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:13:05):
And these people will sell you down the river.
Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
She's going to be the next near of Shelby County
because the black wood is going to be split six ways.
Speaker 9 (01:13:18):
It's I mean that is that, it's every day they
did that when.
Speaker 4 (01:13:23):
This guy was running, when we had that white male,
exactly he split the wood. And you know, so we
you know, we do. We contribute to the foolishness starming
our own folks, will sell you down the river for
(01:13:44):
a few pieces of silver and our tours with this.
We have a saying in Jamaica, a promise is a
comfort to a fool. So I promise you, and we
are fools to believe promises, to take your time.
Speaker 5 (01:14:02):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
All right, Macaus, all right, whoa. You know what some
some politicians, some of them keep there from campaign promises.
I just think that the.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
Ones that don't make it make it bad or make
it hard on all politicians, you know what I'm saying,
the ones that don't. But sometimes I fault us even
more because we don't hold them accountable.
Speaker 3 (01:14:40):
We don't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
We don't hold nobody accountable. We just sometimes we just
let people do what they do and we say, ah,
don't worry about it. I was talking to somebody. They
were talking telling me about their neighborhood and how you know,
there's some uh, it's fairly.
Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
New area.
Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
And they said, you know, some of the people in
the neighborhood, you know, don't do this or that or whatever.
And and some of the folks, you know, they were
saying that some of the folks in the neighborhood were like, ah,
they know, used to say nothing about it. We're just
gonna keep going. We're gonna move it. But if you
don't say anything, how does it get fixed?
Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
You know what I'm saying. If you don't, I I
don't understand it. I'm gonna tell you something too. It
rubs off on you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
If you hang around people who don't ever stand up
for anything, you probably gonna end up like them.
Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
W D I A hello, Hello, color? Are you there? Okay?
I don't know where they went. Maybe they went somewhere
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:15:53):
W D I A hello, what's some stormy tea?
Speaker 9 (01:15:58):

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):

Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
And I'm doing fine?
Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
How are you doing good? Doing good?
Speaker 10 (01:16:05):
That's it, that's it, that's a good thing.
Speaker 7 (01:16:07):
I was listening to you when you're talking about that
money now.
Speaker 1 (01:16:13):
I also received a letter.
Speaker 9 (01:16:15):
From the Department of Human Service.
Speaker 10 (01:16:18):

Speaker 7 (01:16:21):

Speaker 2 (01:16:24):

Services about that?
Speaker 5 (01:16:34):

Speaker 17 (01:16:37):
I read it, and it said if you win the lottery,
you have to report.
Speaker 3 (01:16:43):
Hm.
Speaker 10 (01:16:45):
And I think that's the same way it goes with
social security.
Speaker 16 (01:16:48):
Yep.
Speaker 10 (01:16:49):
Yeah, if you're win that money, you gotta report it.
Speaker 11 (01:16:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
Well I think everybody does, though, don't they everybody? If
you win it, you have to reporter, right, everybody does.
Speaker 6 (01:17:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:17:04):
Yeah, So sometimes people better be careful.
Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
Because don't ever think so secure.
Speaker 10 (01:17:09):
They ain't paying attention. They pay attention. That one thing
I can said about that. They pay attention.
Speaker 5 (01:17:19):

Speaker 7 (01:17:20):

Speaker 3 (01:18:56):
Thank you for calling again. I appreciate you.
Speaker 19 (01:18:58):
All right, you'd be saying.
Speaker 3 (01:19:00):
All right you too, bye bye. I was looking at.
Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
Doctor Conorway keya Connorway. She posted something on social media
that she said is happening, and I guess it's happening
in doctor's offices. And if this has happened to you,
I'd be curious to find out, so she posted a
letter from see. A woman named Karen posted this and
(01:19:28):
she shared it, and she says, my doctor's office just
sent me this email blast. It's already happening. The doctor's
office says, effective September one, twenty twenty five, we will
no longer be accepting any form of Medicare, including Medicare
advantage plans or any Medicaid plans. Additionally, effective immediately, we
(01:19:51):
will no longer we are no longer accepting new patients
with Medicare or Medicaid coverage.
Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
What's that about?
Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
I need to dig deeper into that one and see
what that's about, because what's that about? I don't know, Honestly,
I don't know. So I gotta look deeper off into that.
And they're saying it's a part of the big beautiful bill,
or the effects rather of the big beautiful bill.
Speaker 3 (01:20:24):
So, like I said, I got to dig deeper into that.
Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
But a lot of people were curious when they saw
it and just wondering if that is something you know,
this maybe happened to you. M interesting, very interesting. A
lot of interesting things happening around here too. My heart
goes out and I don't know what happened, but.
Speaker 3 (01:20:50):
You know, when you hear some.
Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
Stories, you're like, I'm so confused this story that you
probably saw the woman that was accused of staying inside
that hotel room here and I was looking at rig
and they said she remains. They found the remains of
her deceased daughter. She was in court today, Kimberly Moore.
(01:21:11):
She's charged with abuse of a corpse and failure to
report the discovery of the of the body. If she's
found guilty on two charges, she could spend just under
seven years in jail. I'm curious as to why it's
just those charges.
Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
What I don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
Anyway, she was pretty eager to talk to the judge
today and the judge ooray, I just need yes or
no answers right now at any rate. Court documents say
that deputies, you know, they checked the room, they'd smelled
and older and found her. A lot of people on
social media basically saying that she is has some mental issues,
but I don't know what the case is. Anyway, they
(01:21:52):
found Moore's daughter lying in the bed. When they went
to that hotel room. They smelled an older at while
they were talking to her, outside because the manager, I guess,
called police. Anyway, the daughter was lying in bed. Moore's
daughter was reportedly cold to touch, mal nursed, and mummy fied.
Her bond was five thousand dollars. She's doing court again
(01:22:16):
tomorrow morning. That story confuses me a little because I
feel like there's something missing that we don't know about.
And I guess at some point maybe we'll find out
the rest of that story. I just think it's interesting,
you know, very interesting story. All right, last going through
(01:22:37):
this app somebody tapped it, and then we'll go to
our classic TV.
Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
Throwback, Good Afternoon Storm and t what up?
Speaker 5 (01:22:45):
Part of a big beautiful bill that your president signed
in office.
Speaker 3 (01:22:51):
Big beautiful bill, that's what they said. It's part of
the big beautiful bill. Don't give him to me, m
m M. Y'all know what I be saying. We don't
want it.
