We've worked with a lot of people that have had
birthdays close to ours. It was interesting a few years
there were so many August birthdays. They would buy cakes
every month and we would celebrate the birthdays every month, y'all,
and would be so many birthdays on August it would
pretty much fill up the whole cake. And there was

always at least three to four people that worked here,
and we all had same birthdays. Let me see Demetrius,
his birthday was the twenty sixth. I think Prescott's birthday
is the twenty seventh. It's either twenty seventh or twenty ninth.
It's the day. It's not on our birthday, but it's
one of those y'all know, the comedian Prescott, straight out

of Memphis. Yeah, his birthday, I think it's the twenty seventh.
And then we worked with somebody at one point who's
his birthday was August twenty fifth. Yes, a lot a
lot of August birthdays. A lot of us were celebrating
around the same time. And yeah, so now three of
us with the same birthday up in here and a

lot of August birthdays still in the building.

Of course, y'all know, there was Bobby's birthday. I believe
Sherry Mackew's birthday is this month. Me and Sue and
being just justus. A lot of people with birthdays around
this time, so happy birthday to you. You got family
members that have birthdays around this time, Happy birthday to them.
Sweeney Martin the Third celebrated his birthday on yesterday and

I did not get a chance to say happy birthday
to him yesterday. There was so much stuff going on
in here yesterday and it was loud out there.

speaking of cats, let me give you the update on
the story I told you about yesterday with the dogs.
The Shelby County Commissioner has requested a hold on funding

for Memphis dog grooming Salon under investigation for animal abuse.

So that's the deal.

In a statement, Commissioner Britney Thornton said Glamour Grooming and
Boarding was among small businesses selected to receive funding through
a one point eight million dollar budget allocation in District ten.
Earlier this week, our news partner in Fox thirteen, you know,
they did the video and did the story, and I
went on Facebook and just kind of, you know, googled

to see what I could. I tell you, I couldn't
watch some of those videos. It just it really did
break my heart to see those dogs abused, being abused
like that, you know, and some people pointing out online
the tattoo of the person abusing the dog and then
the tattoo of the owner that they were seeing, you know,

this or that or whatever, and hey, I'm just telling
you about it. The owner of Glamour Grooming, Belinda Fisher Hale,
previously told our news partner Fox thirteen, that the disturbing
clips are from over a year ago and show a
former employee she had already fired. But again, the videos

that are all over so Facebook. They're hard to watch
and it's upset a whole lot of folks. You know,
I was telling you all about this too. A lot
of celebrities have gotten in trouble over these dogs. A
lot of folks in the city have gotten in trouble
over issues with dogs, you know, not treating them right.
You can get in trouble not treating your animal right.

You get in trouble. People don't like that. There are
a lot of people that.

So if you don't want to get in trouble and
you you know, taking care of animals and you got
to do right by them, and people are calling it out.
So there's an investigation underway over there for Glamour Grooming
and Boarding, and I guess we'll see the rest of

what happens with that story. I wanted to catch you
guys up with some of the things that we talked
about earlier this week and then you know, go into
some other things. What do y'all think about that situation
over at Glamour Grooming and Boarding. Maybe you don't think
anything about it, but a lot of people are talking
about it. Yeah. I told you about the parents of

the missing seven month old. That baby, the parents have
been arrested. M yep, there's an update in that seven
month old Emmanuel Horrow. According to ABC seven LA, the
parents of that child arrested for the last few days
authorities and you could U COUPU. I mean, I'm not

sure how you pronounced that. California. They've been on the
search for that baby. Initially, police said that they could
not rule out, you know, fiul play at any rate.
They've arrested the parents, Both Jake and Rebecca I have
been arrested. Their charges have not been revealed yet, but
footage of their arrest has gone viral on social media.
They both have attorneys too. By the way, both of

them good news for Memphis. If you if you were
to say that Memphis there was something I guess that
you would say is what makes Memphis famous? What would
it be? What would you say?

Well Food Beast is saying it's the wings, because Memphis
has been crowned the wing capital of America. I gotta
agree with this one. I gotta agree because there are

name of it is, but I was not impressed. I said,
only it don't taste like the barbecue in Memphis. If
you asked me, where was I when where were we?

But Memphis has been crowned the wing capital of America. Hmmm,

You know, they're naming the bridge, the new bridge that
they're going to put up Kings Crossing in honor of

Memphis is famous for a lot of things. The music,

don't know if he's being criticized for this, and I
talked about it in the tea a moment ago, But
what do you think about Dion Sanders his strict classroom
dress code for Colorado football players. No slides and no

kids that ain't baby. They love wear them slides, Honey,
they slide. They'll slide into church if you let them,
they will. They wear slides shirts. They'll slide all over
the place. Those slides are so popular. I mean, everybody's
making slides now because people are wearing them, like and

especially the young folks. Many they wear them slides with
socks on, socks and like y'all probably do it too.
But he's banning them, he said, I better not see
him in the classroom. They can't wear slides, they can't
wear the hoodies with headphones on. I don't blame him.

don't give these kids some instructions, some direction, some discipline,
some if we don't, you know, start doing stuff like that,

six point two billion dollar deal between Next Star Media
Group and rival TIGNA goes through, three of Memphis' five
primary television stations will have the same owner, a consolidation

Do you like having them and having their different views
and you know, them being on their own. If this

thing go through, they're all together one owner, and that
makes me wonder, well, what's gonna happen? Are you going

should I be adventurous and try at least one of

if I see twenty women, fifteen of them got on
pajamas and the bunnets like they just got out of bed.
It's pathetic to me. Back in the day, women used
to be pulled when they left the house, like they
were walking down the catwalks and men's were noticing them.

too before I learned where it was where the story happened.
