Speaker 1 (00:00):
Anyway, it is international country music today. Yeah, a lot
(00:06):
going on, A lot going on.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I want to tell you a few things about.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
I'm gonna go personal here and then I'm gonna take
it back to some of the things that I want
to talk about today and some of the things that
are on my mind because I'm confused about some things.
I don't know if you all are confused about some
things too. But this past Sunday, I had a chance
to have lunch with a beautiful woman. Her name is
Carolyn Butler Thurman. She was recently named a member of
(00:39):
the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Alumni Associations twenty
one Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Congratulations Mss Thurman.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I did not know that she graduated from UAPB in
nineteen sixty four with the Bachelor of Arts in Education
along with fifteen other distinguished alumnis of the university, and
she was honored back in twenty twenty one.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I had lunch with her this Sunday, And if.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I tell you the sweetest lady, I've one of the
sweetest ladies I've ever met in my life. Miss Carolyn,
That's who she is. I just wanted to shout her out.
She told me that she listens to WDA, and so
I just want to shout her out and say hello
to her, and I'm looking forward to having lunch with
(01:26):
her again.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I am well.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I made that trick because stan Belle told me to.
Yesterday when I was downtown for the station event that
we were doing, I was talking to y'all from down there,
and then I had to give y'all one of the
one of the throwbacks of Stormy conversations on yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I made that drive down Riverside Drive I did. I
made that drive.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
I wanted to see what Stam was talking about. I
see what he's saying, but then I'm not sure that
I see. I actually I I liked it.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
I hate say I liked it.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Because before it felt like, you know, sometimes you really
couldn't drive on that street. And maybe I didn't go
down there all the time, and I get you could
drive on it, but sometimes I just felt like the
street was just so so wide you couldn't get around it,
so low you couldn't get under it, so high. I'm
just kidding, but anyway, no, seriously, it I mean it
(02:30):
was wider and all that, but now it's down to
two lanes and here's the plus for some people. It
may not be a plus for others. I know, you
can bicycle down there. Looks like they made it more bicycle,
more pedestrian friendly. Why maybe because too many pedestrians did
(02:51):
y'all know, we were like number one in the country
for pedestrian deaths, people getting hit all the time.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Around here at any rate.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
I don't know if that was why they, you know,
put the barriers up with the two lanes down there,
what or why? But I kind of liked it because before,
when I went down there, I was like, where do
I park around this?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Johnt what do I park?
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Now they got parking for you, so a you know,
some like it, some don't. And he's right though, it's not,
you know, not much of a view, but it never
really was. So I kind of liked it, kind of
didn't like it, kind of liked it. But I can imagine,
you know, the people that live up top, because y'all
(03:38):
know who really runs that area, right, It ain't the
ones of us that's down low. It's the millionaires up
top that live up top.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
And them and them.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
When you you know that song I'm coming up on
the rough side of the mountain. When you walk up
from step, you literally are covering up the rough side
of that mountain.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
And that's just the they run stuff that property up there.
It's costs money and they, you know, can shut you
down you get a little loud out there, like all
they got to do is complain and it's a rap.
Whatever you're doing down there, it's a rap. They dare
you to stop it and get onto the house.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
So uh.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
I don't know why they decided it like that, but
perhaps that was some of the read I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I don't know, but I liked it.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I mean, I kind of it's you're moving slow now,
don't think you're gonna be flying down riverside drive.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
You tell your cold.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Ain't gonna be no speed raising, no speeding them kids,
ain't gonna be drag racing, ain't.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Gonna be none of that. Ain't gonna happen. Nope.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Uh But yeah, So about the same view that was,
it just does it does seem a little bit more.
It seems tight and a little bit congested. And I'm
assuming the reason they did that was because they don't
don't want people.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Flying through there. That's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I mean, and they want to keep pedestrians people that
are walking, because you know people.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I saw people walking on the trail. I took a
video of it.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
I saw people walking on the trail and all of that,
and it seemed like all them folks that was up
there was having a good time. I started to stop
and go down there with them see what they was doing.
But I said, nah, I gotta get home. It was
getting dark, and I got on that fifty five. I
do like how they made that little roundabout around there
when you but I'm afraid there's gonna be some accidents
(05:31):
up in there because I was confused.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
They got a little round about us. Why like y'all
put a little.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
What what's the deal with the roundabout it? I mean,
I mean it's cute, but I I was like, oh
my lord, which way do I go?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Which way?
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I figured it out, got on fifty five and question
I was asking. Once I got out of there. When
I almost got hit by an eighteen wheel up, I said,
where is the national God?
Speaker 2 (06:03):
No, people were flying by me. I was like, what
am I doing wrong?
Speaker 1 (06:06):
I was going like fifty five, you know, sixty, and
the speed limit up in that area you know, when
you get fifty five going south in the speed limit, like.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Fifty five sixty something like that.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
I was driving the speed an eighteen wheeler passed me.
I think he was racing with a truck. Aus soon
as he passed me or on a truck, I said,
here's the natch.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
What is going on?
Speaker 1 (06:32):
I don't know, maybe it's just me and I think
by that time, the Highway, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, you know,
there's probably off work people are figuring it out. We
know when y'all at work, when y'all not. Evidently, because
I couldn't believe it, I thought people, you know, earlier
during the day, people seemingly had slowed down.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
When I was driving. I was on Bill Morris, I
was driving.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I was like, okay, people driving a little slow, must
be concerned about the National Guard coming or whatever. And
I got last night theybabe, an eighteen wheeler passed me.
Had to be going eighty pushing it pushing, and then
a trunk. I was, yeah, freak me out.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I don't know if I'm.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Getting fifty by south at night no more. But anyway, yeah,
so uh yeah, people are Some people are like they
can't come fast enough. And then some people are like,
we don't need them. We do not need the government
coming to Memphis and intervening in our business. It ain't
the government's business.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
What a lot of people are saying.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
And some people are like, oh, I'm so glad they're coming,
and some people are not. And a lot of folks
have their reasons for what they're sharing. I will tell
you this. I heard Tammy Sawyer talking about how the
strain on two oh one in the jail system right now.
She was talking about the strain and I you know,
and I uh, you know people getting arrested. I mean,
(08:03):
you're arresting where you're gonna you gotta take them the
two or one er. I mean, you know, well, I
saw a news story where De Soto County down in
De Soto County, Honey, they empty into prisons.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Uh, in anticipation of of of you know, opening it,
helping out, helping out y'allsea that store.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
So I don't Yeah, it's it's a lot.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
It's a lot.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
It sounds like a lot of moving parts. And Governor
Bill Lee, he was talking at talk. He was trying
to tell the world, or tell them, tell Tennessee and Memphis.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
What he was up to.
Speaker 6 (08:43):
It's actually a coordinated effort of multiple agencies, one of
them being.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
The National Guard.
Speaker 6 (08:51):
In anticipation of this all coming together, we put fifty
more highway patrol in Shelby County just this week. These
National Guards will actually be a military police. They'll be
trained law enforcement officers. That's who we've used in DC.
These are military police officers, so they're trained law enforcement.
That's what I believe, and that's what my that's what
our plan.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
Is going to incur.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
My question. Okay, you heard him what he said.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
He said that they were trained police officer, military police officers,
So why well he said they were the same people
that was in Washington, d DC. But still it's why
are you sending military police officer, trained military police officers,
National Guard and they's sposed to do nothing unless you're
finish do something we don't know nothing about. I was
(09:36):
saying that downlow, so everybody wouldn't hear any people in
the back couldn't hear me, but y'all probably heard me.
So anyway, yeah, I thought, what you know, some of
what he said was very interesting. I will tell you
this morning in the News I shared with you guys
that he said there, Memphis is about to be changed forever, elver.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Ever, that's what he said.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Now, let me let me get to a couple of
stories that I do want to share with you before
I've moved. To the family of DMR Trevian Red, the
black young man who was found hanging from a tree
down at Delta State University. They said they're not willing
to accept any cause of death under well until rather
an independent autopsy is performed. And I saw the press
(10:22):
conference today. Did y'all see that press conference that happened today?
Did you hear what the I guess maybe I don't
know if it's the police chief or if this gentleman
that was speaking, if he's the chief on the Delta
State University's campus. But they asked about video. Is there
any video? And this is what he said.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
There are videos and they're in the hands of the
investigative team right now.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
Cleveland PD is leading the investigation.
Speaker 8 (10:52):
This is our investigation, but they're leading in the investigation.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
There are videos.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Interesting, I did see some reports that there are video
now are there? And who's gonna get to see them?
So it's gonna be interesting. As reported, twenty one year
old Read was found hanging from a tree on the
campus of Delta State University and an investigation is still unfolding,
(11:19):
and several of his classmates have since taken to the
Internet to share their condolences and demand answers, and his
family is also unsatisfied. They held a press conference yesterday
that said, it doesn't sound like him. We won't believe
it until we find out more. So let me send
my love and prayers out to his family, because I
know that has to be pretty tragic. I mean, you
(11:41):
hear about somebody that you love in a situation like
this and you can't ask them anything. They're gone, You
can't talk to them, ain't no asking them questions. It's
an interesting and yet a sad situation all at the
same time. Now, let's move on, y'all. Tell me what
(12:03):
you think about this. Now we mentioned it a little bit.
You remember that kid, David D four VD is how
he spells his name, David, You know, the one who's
tesla was sitting and they found a body in it.
He was still out there touring and doing whatever he
was doing. And people on the you know, it's a
lot of people that are on social media that are
(12:25):
like investigators. So they went and found one of his songs.
He's got a song called romantic homicide. Who is writing
songs like this? Come to found out the little girl
that he was that they found that when they found
(12:46):
her body. Her parents said he was she was dating,
or rather she had a boyfriend named David.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
And now there are.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Pictures that have surfaced of him and the young girl.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
And he's got a tattoo.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
According to TMZ, he's got a tattoo matching the body
of the girl found in the tesla. So what did
he do? Canceled his shows, his upcoming shows. So I'm
just curious what do y'all think about that one? Did
he do it? Do you think he did it? I
thought it was suspicious. Once, you know, more details started
(13:30):
coming out and people have started talking about a song
that he had released.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I'm like, what the what is going on?
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Is it just me? But I thought maybe I'm wrong,
and I know we need to cool by yah and
come together. I thought that things would kind of calm
down around here. I've seen so many stories. The young
girl in South Memphis that was found in her car.
Let me send some love out to her family, and
(13:57):
I just it's just so much which going on. I
thought things were gonna calm down. The guy that was
shooting at the kids, the eighteen year old ended up
having to go to the hospital. The guy, there's a
video on social media. He's outside of a car like
this is the wild wild West. Bullets will land somewhere.
(14:20):
They may not go where you think they're gonna go,
you know what I'm saying. I mean, I don't understand.
I thought they were gonna calm down. And now the
bridge dedication, Remember they were gonna dedicate the bridge and
they're naming it after the three Elvis is BB King,
doctor Martin Luther King, and Elvis Presley Hunter. They have
postponed that thing because of the ongoing political division.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
It ain't happening.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
So how do you feel about the National Guard possibly
being in Memphis? In definitely? How do you feel about that?
What do you think about this?
Speaker 2 (14:57):
David young Man?
Speaker 1 (14:59):
And I know some people have probably been keeping up
with a little bit better than I have.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
But I just.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
And they said he was cooperating with law enforcement. But
mm and the climate around here, how y'all feeling about
everything that's happening, and how angry people are right now.
We can't even do a bridge dedication because it's everybody's
(15:32):
seemingly angry. I do like what I heard the Urban League.
I heard stand talking about Gail Jones Carson in the
Urban League doing something to try to bring a little
bit of peace because we sure do need it, We
sure do need it. And the video is there really
(15:55):
video of what happened to d Marchradian read what do
y'all think about that case? I know some of you
have all already been chiming in on it and talking
about it. Let me open the lines so y'all can
call nine O one five three five nine three four
two eight hundred five zero three nine three four two
eight three three five three five nine three four two.
Y'all are tapping in on that iHeartRadio app and we're
(16:18):
gonna take your calls and your emails all that good stuff.
So let me go to the phones and see what
you're talking about on today.
Speaker 9 (16:25):
W D I A hello, he thank you for taking
my call.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Oh you're welcome.
Speaker 9 (16:33):
I am the most aerdite mind. Come on, aradite mind,
I'm on now, brilliant thinker, brilliant thinker and political philosopher. Okay,
you're in Sherimy Counting. I didn't. I don't call into
this show to be informed. I called them to inform others.
Speaker 10 (16:53):
Let me just.
Speaker 5 (16:54):
Say this here.
Speaker 9 (16:56):
You said why the National God come? Everybody asking why?
Speaker 11 (16:59):
Why?
Speaker 7 (17:00):
Why? Well?
Speaker 9 (17:01):
I thought about that over the weekend. I wasn't one
hundred percent sold on the idea of myself just to
be honest with you, because I'm an honest man, I'm
a fair man. Then I thought about it. The two
year old got shot in Memphis, four kids got shot.
The fifteen year old boy got shot over the North
(17:22):
Haven fighting for his life. So the question should not
be now why not? The question should be why did
it take so long for them to come? These leaders
here in Memphis? Governor officials, officials need to be ashamed
(17:46):
of themselves that the National God I honor.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Now, why do they need to be a shamed black conservative?
Speaker 9 (17:55):
Because the National God had to come in and do
their job. They're just like someone coming in and doing
your job because you're you're not getting.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
The job done.
Speaker 9 (18:10):
The city leaders, And let me say this here, nobody
was upset when Barack Obama brought the National Guards in
and Baltimore doing Freddie Smith.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
How you know they wasn't upset? How do you know
they weren't upset? Because it wasn't.
Speaker 9 (18:29):
In Memphis, Barack Obama brought in the National Guards because
of civil unrest and that they had in Baltimore. He
brought in the National Guards.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Also.
Speaker 9 (18:42):
He sent the National Guards on the border too, for
one hundred Matter of fact, Barack Obama deported about four
million illegal immigrants, more than President Trump four point three
I believe, if I'm correct, Barack Obama uh deported when
he was in office. Matter of fact, they was calling
(19:03):
him the deporter, deporter in chief. He deports so many
he sent them all back, four point three million illegals.
Barack Obama sent them all back to their country, lying
hook and sinker.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
All right, I got you.
Speaker 9 (19:20):
Well, ask my quick question is this here? Because I
know I know I got you in the hot sea.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
You ain't got me in no hot seat. I'm at work, all.
Speaker 9 (19:29):
Right, Let me say that I just want Nurse Beverly married,
Big Kahuna and the other call in these children who've
been shot or either killed at Lebonna and Regional one.
Try to find their family's number and call and give
(19:51):
them your condolens.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
I got you, black Conservative, thank you for calling in.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Okay, w D I a hello?
Speaker 5 (19:58):
Say what's going on?
Speaker 2 (19:59):
So I can't call it Freddy? What's happening with you?
Speaker 1 (20:02):
You're doing alright on this beautiful humpty hump day?
Speaker 8 (20:06):
And man, uh why they like it? See it in
augustas why they they They just want them.
Speaker 5 (20:12):
They just want to say something.
Speaker 8 (20:13):
Ain't nobody clearing your clearing their jail out? They ain't
doing them a fly.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
What they said. That's where they said. They sending their
prison somewhere else. Baby, in anticipation of what we might
need over here.
Speaker 8 (20:25):
You should have been carrying on somewhere else when the
man walked out to jail.
Speaker 12 (20:28):
What now?
Speaker 13 (20:29):
Now what.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
He shore walked out?
Speaker 14 (20:33):
And so you know they ain't like that.
Speaker 8 (20:35):
I don't guess what the National dog duke come. They
ain't gonna be running up and down street with no
tanks or nothing up and down your street. You can
hear them, you know how them tanks sounding. You ain't
gonna hear all that and carrying on. They gonna probably
be an important place. We're not gonna even see them
on side streets and all that there that dedicate Then
we're gonna be refugees again like they was in New Orleans.
(20:56):
You know, they're gonna be standing over what was done
to me. They gotta figure out they're gonn had doms
or not come on that stor and it's just they gonna,
you know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
I don't either.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
There's so many questions, and I can appreciate. You know
that the governor sat down with Joe Burg, but he
didn't say nothing that we didn't already know.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
I mean, really, he didn't say much except for now.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
He said Memphis is gonna be changed forever. And he
it was as if he was saying in that interview
that they're gonna be here indefinitely. But but but what
I mean, but what we don't know when we don't
know the yaoura nother day.
Speaker 7 (21:34):
Yeah, but one thing was showing two things.
Speaker 8 (21:36):
Certainly, everybody that's doing right gonna be at work, so
we ain't gotta worry about it.
Speaker 15 (21:40):
Yeah, So we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna be all right.
Speaker 8 (21:44):
Strong, this all this this is all I had to say.
We're gonna be all right. They didn't send the Marines
or arm and anybody else here. We're gonna be all right.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
But that's what he was talking about. President Trump said it.
He's gonna send it in the military if he got that.
Speaker 8 (21:56):
What he said in little and little small myth. Come on, man, yes, ma'am,
you have you have a good day.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
I believe it is. I really do. And that's my hope,
my prayer.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Yeah, thank you, this too shall pass, Yeah, ma'am, all right,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I saw a story on the news that that that
I prayed about all all night long. And you know
why I did, because it was one of those stories
that could happen to anybody. And my heart goes out
to the young girl that made a U turn and
(22:46):
and and hit a motorcyclist and I guess, in essence
he's no longer here. And it made me think, could
that happen to anybody? Imagine you're driving and you just
(23:08):
living your life and and I don't know if the
if there was a lot of traffic or what the
deal was, and you you make a U turn and
somebody loses their life because you did. My heart goes
down to this young lady because I know her, and
(23:30):
definitely to her family as well, because when I saw
the story, I said, that could happen to anybody anyway.
We're gonna come back and.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Talk to you.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
I see you, guys on. Hold Clyde, Red, Jane, Eric B. Keith,
y'all hold on. We're gonna come back and get your calls.
Nine o one five three five, nine three four two
eight hundred five zero three nine three four two eight
three three five three five nine three four two. Those
are the numbers to get at me. I am gonna
go to the app and I'll check in with your
emails on the way of Thanksgiving is next month. Do
(24:06):
y'all have the Thanksgiving menu together? If you plan on
being with your family for Thanksgiving, you need to get
that menu together. And if you plan on cooking, get
it together. Let's see here. Mister Backus messaged and he
said it is no need to be afraid of those
MP most of them work in law enforcement in civilian life.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Hello, beautiful Stormy. Hey mister Nita.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
My prayers and condolences go out to the young man
read family. They reported that some of the family they're
mad because the detective only contacted two of his family members.
They said he only put two as a contact in
case of emergencies. Yeah, I saw that too, because people
were complaining about that. I love that they are coming.
(24:52):
I am a combat veteran. All right, mister Richardson, all
right to you, he said he loved the coming. Yeah.
Now let me check in with you guys. You have
tapped in on this iHeartRadio app. Let's see what you're
saying on today.
Speaker 15 (25:09):
All right, good afternoon, Stormy.
Speaker 16 (25:12):
Yeah, I've been trying to follow that Mississippi, the hanging
of those young fellows. But also I haven't heard anything
too much about the two hundred and something.
Speaker 17 (25:24):
Bodies that was found behind the county jail.
Speaker 16 (25:29):
Down there in Mississippi, Jackson somewhere right. How do you
bury people and don't nobody know about it?
Speaker 7 (25:36):
Got your locked out of mission?
Speaker 1 (25:37):
All right, thank you so much for locking me in.
That's an interesting question. Hadn't heard about that one. If
it ain't one thing, it's something else, I'll tell you, Stormy.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
They gonna have a national guy whoever they want to have.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
When does the police come after the shooting is old with?
Speaker 5 (25:52):
How this gonna stop crying?
Speaker 2 (25:55):
All right? That's an interesting question there. That's an interesting.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
If the Miss Cassandra and joins the show just started.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
But I want to say something about black conservative calling in.
Everybody has opinions, but why does you call in all
the time.
Speaker 11 (26:12):
Talking about.
Speaker 7 (26:15):
Barack Obama.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
He's not the president anymore. He's not Trump is the president.
So you focus on that.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
Have a good day, all right?
Speaker 2 (26:24):
You know, an upset Miss Cassandra. Baby? Okay, Hey Stormy?
How you doing doing good?
Speaker 18 (26:30):
The National Guards when they came to DC, what the
National Guards were doing pretty much here? They were doing
a lot of cleaning up, taking care of some of
the playgrounds and this and that.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
They just showed the presence.
Speaker 18 (26:42):
But really what happened The Ice and all the federal
police agencies all work together, and they collected a whole
lot of immigrants.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
There were quite a few arrests.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Take care of Stormy, all right.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
And I'm wondering too, if they make those arrests, or
when they make them, are those people.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
Gonna be able to get out of jail? You know
what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Are they stuck like Chuck? I mean, what's gonna happen?
I mean, you know, really, seriously, what's gonna happen in
that case?
Speaker 19 (27:13):
Going back to that afternoon, this dormy t Come on now,
if your heart go out to Caleb, well please at
least say your heart go out to the man who
lost his life family.
Speaker 20 (27:26):
You didn't mention this family?
Speaker 2 (27:29):
I did.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
I mentioned his family. Yeah, I mentioned his family that
I talked about and who was Caleb? Because did I
mention a Caleb?
Speaker 21 (27:36):
Today?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
I talked about de Mar Trevian Reed, the young man
who was found hanging on the campus, and I mentioned,
you know that my heart goes out to that family
and the family of the young girl who police found
in the car in South Memphis. I mentioned that family
and the young girl in this situation with this whatever
(28:00):
it is artists or whatever it is, I guess whatever
is rapple, whatever it is that you know in the tesla,
her body was found.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
In that tesla. It's a lot, man. It mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Let's go back to the app and see what you're
not the app, but to the phones to see what
you're talking about on today w D I A Hello.
Speaker 11 (28:22):
Hello, Hey, hey are you talking to me?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
I am you're on the radio.
Speaker 14 (28:28):
Okay, thank you, thank you so yeah, thank you for
taking a call. Hello listening, audience, how y'all doing. I'm
the reason why I called is because the young man
down there in Mississippi, you know, uh I have grievance
and UH condos it's as family. But at the same
time this happened around the same time that we know
(28:52):
that the situation between Charlie Kirk and what's going on
around the nation, and they were talking about UH attacking
their campuses a certain party. I won't won't mention that,
but they were talking about attacking the campuses.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Well were they talking about it? Attacking the campuses? Are
you talking about when the HBCUs were getting all of
them were getting threats? Well, well let me I'm gonna
tell I will tell you this, mister Keith. Those campus
threats were happening before they went to the HBCUs because
I mentioned it on this show. They threatened I think
(29:28):
it was Arkansas State University. There was another universe, there
were other universities that were being threatened as well, or
or there was a there was a you know, some
threats that had gone out and before they that, you know,
those threats happened at the HBCUs, they were going that
it was already happening at other universities that were not black.
Speaker 14 (29:52):
Okay, My question is though to that affect did the
threat get carried out?
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Is more so, I'm none of them.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
They were all staged so far, they were all staged
at all the universities that I saw.
Speaker 22 (30:08):
This young man, This young man according to the corner.
Speaker 14 (30:10):
Now, before the corner got the body, they said that
a lot of his bones were broken in his body
prior to the lynching itself. Now the corner says that
he didn't have any broken bones.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
According to the.
Speaker 14 (30:23):
Corner, we're talking about down here in Mississippi.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Now, oh so in Mississippi they're saying, so you're saying
the Mississippi they're saying his bones were broken.
Speaker 14 (30:32):
Well, there are those who said prior to the corner
that the bones were broken.
Speaker 5 (30:37):
But I read the article.
Speaker 14 (30:38):
The article said that the corner did an autosic and
that the broken.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
The bones were not broken.
Speaker 14 (30:45):
However, I questioned, just me, as if I was the
family member, I would question the corners of the corner's autopsy.
I would get my own independent autopsy.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
That's what they want on Compiday.
Speaker 20 (31:00):
Yeah, because my thing, my whole thing is we want.
Speaker 22 (31:04):
Justice for him and his families.
Speaker 9 (31:07):
But not just that.
Speaker 14 (31:08):
If if it was no fireplaces and no filplace, we'll
have a decent burial for but we need, yeah, we
deserve to know exactly. And that brings me around to
black conservatives. Well, okay, so why are you so dead
set on sending National Guard and FBI and whatnot to Memphis?
(31:31):
But when somebody dies and it sounds like it could
be fileplay, sending one there?
Speaker 1 (31:39):
I got you, Keith, thank you so much for calling
in appreciate you calling. Uh, let's go back to the phones.
W D I A hello, what can't call it?
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Clyde? What's going on with you?
Speaker 20 (31:50):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (31:50):
You know? Kind of fun and the mean when they
first talked about that hanging down there, said they didn't
have no cameras.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
Cameras wasn't working where they found them hung in and
all of a sudden, now.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
They got camera fully, that's what he said in that.
Speaker 8 (32:08):
They when they did when they had the the you
know how they have the big name where the where
the chief the police chief was was talking about the
situation when you had the Campbell's police.
Speaker 7 (32:20):
Behind they kind of had to head down.
Speaker 8 (32:23):
Like that wasn't true when he said it looked like
it wasn't no fireplace, you already said, looking like no
file play. They didn't even get our topsay. See, I
know Miss Sippi has been hard on black folks as longer.
Speaker 9 (32:37):
That's why.
Speaker 8 (32:38):
Don't see why black folks moved them, said, because they
really don't want it down there. But they got a
hound dog on the case now. And and like I said,
if they get rid of their body before they have
a second a.
Speaker 7 (32:53):
Topsa, they're gonna tell the truth.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Take care of storm all right, Clyent, thank you so
much for calling in w D I A hello, Grey,
good evening, sort of good evening.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
How you doing.
Speaker 11 (33:04):
I'm good, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Good.
Speaker 11 (33:06):
My neighbor, one of my neighbors lived he's from Cleveland,
and I talked to him last night. He said that
that boy was found close to one of the white
fraternity houses on campus where he was supposed to been hung.
And we talked. We actually talked last night when he
(33:27):
was all he was telling me about that, and he
was like this, look the town of saying that he
was actually found hanging at a tree close to a
white fraternity wow out on campus. So I'm hoping they
get to the bottom of it, because you know. You know,
actually I used to work for this company and they
send me down there to live. He was back in
nineteen eighty one or something like that, and we used
(33:49):
to go, we should go to Delta State to play basketball,
like you know, in the evening time.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
We would meet, you know, some people that I met.
Speaker 11 (33:56):
We used to go down on the campus and play
basketball right after how we eight and sixty one she did.
And I just want to say another couple more things
real quick. For the National Guards, I mean, I think
we probably need them because you know, like I said,
there was a little two year old kids just they
wished a guy for shooting two year old kids trying
(34:18):
to run out of control. But I lived in DC,
and the friends I talked to you said, the National
Guard of this is picking up paper and you know
around the federal buildings and all of that. They're not
really out there controlling anything. So if you come through there,
if you come down through there and you're drinking and
driving or something, they pull you over. They see you
drinking or see you doing something for you. Let's have
(34:39):
they're arresting all these people. They're being arrested up there,
you know. And another thing is and they were talking
about the jail. Now, if they a risk immigrants in
this city, they're probably going to take them straight out
there to Mason, to.
Speaker 5 (34:52):
That new president.
Speaker 11 (34:53):
You know that they're being ready to open back up,
you know. And one more thing, and like black conservative
call in every day with all of that Rhetorican foolishness,
every single day he called in with that stuff. Did
he call in and say anything about the January sixth insurrection?
That was a crime committed there too?
Speaker 5 (35:14):
That was that was that?
Speaker 11 (35:16):
And Stormy, I don't know if you noticed it, but
a lot of this stuff got out of control starting
back in about twenty fourteen. I mean, it really got
out of control if you think about it, when Donald
Trump first started running for president and he was getting
up there saying all of that stuff about you know,
all this racist stuff and seeing a lot of stuff.
Speaker 7 (35:36):
It just seemed like the.
Speaker 11 (35:38):
White people just all of a sudden just let it
come out and.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
They started showing us who who they are.
Speaker 7 (35:46):
Is sowing up.
Speaker 11 (35:47):
But I'm going to tell you something, storm I traveled
a lot, and I go to Indiana and I come
through Kentucky. I said this on the radio many times
before I come through Kentucky a lot. And for the
legs fire years, I've been writing can Touch You, And
I've been seeing all of these Donald Trump signed They're
all gone. They're all gone.
Speaker 20 (36:08):
I've even seen some while he survived. You there and
these people head all this one.
Speaker 7 (36:12):
Now they got no.
Speaker 11 (36:13):
King tigns up there the same these people.
Speaker 20 (36:16):
So you know, I think those people are probably the
farmers out there are probably talking and hurting, and I
think you know, it's going to be a change in.
Speaker 7 (36:24):
A couple of years.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Well that's gonna be something. A change in a couple
of years. We get it remains to be seen. Thank
you read wd ia A. Hello, Hey Stormy, Hey there,
how are you?
Speaker 2 (36:36):
I'm good?
Speaker 10 (36:37):
How are you good?
Speaker 23 (36:39):
What you said about Joe Burt and Lee, Lee didn't
say anything.
Speaker 7 (36:44):
It didn't make sense.
Speaker 23 (36:45):
But Joe Birch didn't ask him the right question because
he should have asked him. Two weeks ago, you stood
on TV and said, nephis didn't meet the National Guard here.
I'm going to tell the president no. Then all of
a sudden you're up there chieveing with them and saying
thank you, thank you, and bending and kick kissing and
speed and everything else. So what changed your mind if
(37:06):
we didn't need them while they come in here, and
I think a lot of people are under the impression
that they're going to come here and deal with the
violent crime.
Speaker 7 (37:14):
They shooting and all that.
Speaker 9 (37:15):
Well.
Speaker 23 (37:16):
Channel five News had but trunk science and.
Speaker 20 (37:20):
It had a list of the things that the National.
Speaker 7 (37:23):
Guard was going to do.
Speaker 23 (37:24):
They said they'll be doing graffiti, salt and battery, other vandalism,
permitted disturbances and demonstration, noise, trespassing, public intoxication, drug possession, seale,
vagrancy and use, and traffic violation. It doesn't mention anything
(37:44):
about carjacking, shooting, doughnuts, all that violent stuff. If they're
doing this stuff, we could do this on our own.
They're not coming here to help us, because if they
come in here to help us, they'll deal with the
violent crime. But they're not doing that this and we're
paying them a million dollars a day when they could
take that money, pay the people we have now more
(38:06):
money and hire some additional police. Because in thirty days,
forty days whatever.
Speaker 7 (38:12):
The Guard to be gone and we still have the problem.
Speaker 23 (38:15):
They hadn't fixed anything, you know, So that's a problem.
Speaker 10 (38:18):
And the other thing I see is that this young
man that was hanging was.
Speaker 23 (38:24):
Found hanging in Mississippi. I hadn't heard anything about that
on national news. They keep covering this Charlie Kirk guy,
which was said, but they haven't mentioned him. Nobody is
saying anything about him, and I'm wondering why is that?
And even black conservatives and that other the.
Speaker 20 (38:44):
Derlic mind guy whatever.
Speaker 23 (38:46):
He calls himself, he didn't even mention the black guy.
He's still talking about Trump and everything in this Charlley guy,
but they don't say anything about the black guy that
was found hanging at that school. And they think that
we're going to believe this guy climbing a tree and
huh and decided to hang himself on a tree. They
(39:07):
got another thought comments, black people will not be jumping
in a tree just to hang themselves.
Speaker 7 (39:12):
That's not something that we would do.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Yeah, you know, and I definitely want to see it.
If you think that's what it is, then let me
see it. Thank you so much, miss Jade. I appreciate you. Yeah,
thank you, I appreciate you checking in. Okay, all right,
bye bye, let me see here. Let me go to
this app and see what somebody.
Speaker 24 (39:29):
Yeah, dedicated listener here not call her to all the
WDA radio shows. I'm just calling because I think what
mister m T was saying to you was that you
didn't say anything about the young lady that you were
talking about that you knew her name is Kayla, the
newsworker that had the accident with the motorcycle. That you
(39:53):
didn't say anything about his family.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Thank you for explaining that I didn't.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
I wasn't sure what he was talking about, but my
prayers do go out to his family if I didn't
say it. Definitely, I think it's heartbreaking. You know, you
are writing a motorcycle and it makes me wonder exactly
what happened. Yeah, it was Kayla Solomon, news reporter over
at Fox thirteen. And when I read the story last night,
(40:25):
and I kind of tried to dig into it, and
I didn't want to say too much about it because
I don't I don't know everything about it. And I
did reach out to some of my news friends because
I wanted to know, well what happened, But then I
was like, I don't know if I should because the
two stories that I read, I went to WRG and
I went to Fox thirteen. They did have the story,
(40:48):
both of them. Both of those stories that I read
were confusing, both of them. One of the stories said
that she went to the hospital and she was in
non critical condition or not, you know, she was good basically,
(41:13):
but that he later died. And then it said at
the bottom, this is the one on wig. It didn't
tell us that she was a news reporter or anything.
It just said her name and it had a picture
of her. And honestly, when I saw it, I was like,
I didn't know the girl, because I know Kayla. When
she has makeup on, she looked different and so I
was like, hmmm, who is that? And so the part
(41:38):
of the story wrig It said that she turned herself
in on a warrant.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
So I'm just like, okay. Well, then I read the
Fox thirteen story.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
And I was talking to a judicial commissioner today she's
going to be talking to me on the Pulse on Sunday,
and she was telling me how there's so many times
with the job that they do. We talked about the
bail system and just you know, I wanted to understand
it better and I wanted to know her to break
(42:18):
it down so you guys could understand it better. There
were plenty of things that she could not answer that
I wanted to know, but she did say something that
I thought was interesting. She said, there's so much that
happens in these stories that never gets to the news,
and I imagine it's got to be hard to try
to tell a thirty minute long story in two seconds
(42:43):
or thirty seconds, and the way that it happened, and
I still don't know. I still don't know what happened
because I reached out to one of my friends last
night and she was working in the media, and I
really wanted to know more about it before I shared
it with you, and I just came out and shared
(43:05):
what I did share, And thank you MT for calling
me out.
Speaker 2 (43:11):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
And to the person that tapped the app and explained
it to me, I wasn't sure what he was talking about,
but thank you. And I'm pretty sure that's what he
was talking about. Yeah, you're right, And I kind of
said it when I was going into a break, so
I really didn't get a chance to explain it all
of what I was trying to say either.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
But I think it's.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
Sad that whoever that young man is, I didn't see
his name in the report, in the story, in either story.
But whoever he is, that he lost his life like that.
That's what I was talking about when I said it
was heartbreaking. So we're gonna take a break and come
(44:04):
back and talk to y'all because y'all ow these phones
and y'all are tapping his hap and trying to talk
to him. Imorie, some of your emails to you when
I come back, Kay, Nurse Beverly Joyce, Eric b Lady
D Brother Bernard, y'all hang on, we'll be back, gotcha.
It is Citizenship Day. There was a day, and there
was a time. I'm curious, do y'all have flags in
(44:24):
y'all yards? You know, back in the day, I think
it was after nine to eleven, A lot of people,
you know, we kind of came together. We kind of
came together. A lot of people got flags put them
in their yards and stuff. But we ain't coming together
(44:45):
like we used to. Maybe the National Urban League can
bring us all together.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
It's still pretty divided. I don't know, because they're talking
about bringing that. You know, Stay was talking about what
they're getting ready to do, and I support it. We
all need to figure out some way where we can
do you know, positive and and stop expecting everybody else
to do it.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
You know, do some things.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
That's that's what I'm gonna do. I'm not expecting you
to do it. I mean, I want us all to
do better and all that, but I ain't expecting you
to do everything. I ain't even expecting the national god
to do everything. I'm gonna do my part to the
best of my ability. You know, them young people be
coming out where I'm hanging out, Oh, on Friday nights,
I'll be talking to them, having conversations with him.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
I do, sure do.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
Talk to them, let them know somebody care about them.
Speaker 10 (45:48):
I do.
Speaker 2 (45:50):
It's not my job to do that. I do it
because I like people. I want us all to be
all right.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
I was just looking at something, y'all see what de
Soto County just so those counties they had a press
conference and they were like, don't think about it. Don't
even think about bringing that trouble over here coming out
of Memphis. Basically, I guess it's a warning to us, uh,
(46:17):
but you know, well not to us, because I'm not
you know, I ain't finna run from the law down
there or nothing like that. But I did see where
West Memphis had a press conference today. West Memphis, Arkansas
had a press conference today, and they were like, don't
bring it over here.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
Man, everybody's got a press comest, everybody's talking, everybody's looking
at what's happening in Memphis. We have literally given them
something to talk about. Mm hmm, gave something to talk about.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
Let's see.
Speaker 1 (46:56):
Got an email here from consultants. It says there is
going to be a manslaughter charge brought against the young
lady that did the U turn because U turns are
illegal in the state of Tennessee.
Speaker 11 (47:09):
See.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
That's That's another thing I was wondering about. I saw
a lot of charges, at least three of them, and
they were all if I'm not because I haven't looked
at the story today. If if I'm not correct, they
were all misdemeanor. And I was like, huh, it just
confused me. The whole story just confused me, it did.
(47:35):
I got another email here says lost the DEA and
at F and the FBI is coming for the violent criminals,
and I can't wait for them to come. I would
rather see law enforcement on our streets than dead bodies.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Get over it, black folks.
Speaker 7 (47:51):
Why ain't you block.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Anyway?
Speaker 8 (47:54):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (47:54):
Somebody tapped the app Let's go there. Hey, good out
to know Miss Stormy after my mom. So I'm kind
of I'm confused.
Speaker 25 (48:01):
I want to know if the governor is so concerned
about crime and Memphis and in Tennessee as he said,
I just want to know, why did he make it
so easy for these types of crimes to be committed?
Speaker 2 (48:15):
And why hasn't he changed any laws to be harder.
Speaker 5 (48:20):
For that purpose.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
You asked the question. I don't think you were asking me,
But I'm gonna tell you what I think.
Speaker 26 (48:31):
I think.
Speaker 2 (48:35):
Maybe I shouldn't be saying this. I'm gonna say it.
I think.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
Let me see, I'm gonna say it like this, gentrification
is real. We got a lot of big things happening
around here, x Ai, all these other businesses. They're even
calling us the new Silicon Valley. You got Google headed
over to Westman. Some things need to change, and I'm
(49:09):
gonna leave it at that.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
I'll figure it out if you want to. W D
I a hello.
Speaker 27 (49:14):
When you just started some forums, Oh you started some
thundering enlightened No, we held ks, My god, mm.
Speaker 20 (49:24):
You know, you got white color clan into color crime.
Speaker 27 (49:27):
So it happens all over, it happens everywhere. The mentalification
may be a factor. I don't think it allows a
lot of sussibility because I live in a gentrified area
and you see people and it was where you may
hear some bang bang whatever, you know, But yeah, you
got all kinds of people doing all kinds of things.
Speaker 20 (49:46):
But I want to share in terms of the.
Speaker 27 (49:49):
Young men that they found home. As far as I'm considered,
any must flee it off to the limb into the lease.
Speaker 2 (49:57):
I don't believe that.
Speaker 20 (49:58):
I don't believe over the suicide.
Speaker 27 (50:00):
You know, it's a black woman in America, I don't
believe it.
Speaker 7 (50:03):
And with the natural and also with the troops.
Speaker 27 (50:05):
Coming and everything going on.
Speaker 15 (50:06):
Right now, Yeah, that's what's needed.
Speaker 7 (50:08):
Bring them on.
Speaker 15 (50:09):
Everybody just needs to.
Speaker 10 (50:10):
Get there behind some man shut down.
Speaker 27 (50:11):
That's why I was saying, you know, whil Bank, why
don't they just shut down that you know them a
reasona come. And like I said, I remember they ray
up the night eight the old woman and drug in
the house.
Speaker 15 (50:21):
Everybody in South Nepon's remember that.
Speaker 10 (50:23):
And it you know, it happened because they told to
go in the house.
Speaker 5 (50:25):
Tip.
Speaker 7 (50:26):
This was a mass house.
Speaker 2 (50:27):
There's some women.
Speaker 27 (50:28):
A woman got beat up out in the Orange down.
There's the three men beat a woman in Orange nown.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
Did you see what? Yes, I did see that.
Speaker 15 (50:37):
And they didn't look.
Speaker 27 (50:38):
Dark skin to me at all. And they didn't like
no Mexican visa because they had a night they had,
you know, some bills on them. So right now, it's
a lot of threatening mentallenge out here, weed down and
dix stuff going on. And I'm gonna do what I've
been doing. I'm gonna listen to the health from where
I come from. And the same thing that you put
out it comes back. And I don't blame anybody for
not saying anything about that man, mister Charling, because every time,
(51:01):
other than offering condolences to his family, everybody who stays
them get fired at this place.
Speaker 12 (51:07):
In my life.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
Not everybody, but well.
Speaker 7 (51:11):
Most of them any ways, a lot a lot of them.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
With certain kind of jobs. Yeah, you know what, Yeah,
I believe in you know, well, let me see, I.
Speaker 27 (51:21):
Believe in connatic did and the chips said, man one
of a woman is full of trouble.
Speaker 7 (51:26):
In two a days he was a young man.
Speaker 27 (51:28):
I'm sorry he lost his life at a young age,
thirty one years old. He had a lot of learn
for my condolences to go after his family. But if
you think I believe it's somebody in Mississippi and went
downy and came up in a tree and hung themselves.
Speaker 15 (51:41):
They ye a physical evidence set. What did they do?
Just jump up and kick the heels and they say.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
They say they got a video, but this is the
miss cam.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
I'm glad you.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
Brought that to my attention because I did hear about
two deaths.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
Yees too, it's too too.
Speaker 27 (51:55):
I mean they were they were then within a few
hours with one another.
Speaker 20 (51:58):
Not that far in terms of the radio, say, wasn't
that far if I'm each other.
Speaker 27 (52:03):
But all I'm saying is this, I don't care what
man do the most. Hank gonna do what he gonna.
Speaker 28 (52:08):
Allow you to do.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
And we got a big rig over here.
Speaker 27 (52:10):
Just waitless view out and just hope up here everything
over in this sun. It came in twenty seven thirty seven,
and it's coming again.
Speaker 10 (52:17):
I got you care fast.
Speaker 27 (52:18):
We need this man to sit down. And it ain't
nothing but saying but I am you know, and don't
be intimidated. I don't worry about no man if you
only I don't fee a man if you ain't getting
out of God.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
All right, Kay, thank you so much for Colin, and
she'll spoke. So I'm looking at the story. Two deaths
in Mississippi are in the national spotlight, a black student
at Delta State University and a white homeless man in Vicksburg.
We're both found dead on Monday, September fifteenth, hanging from trees.
(52:54):
So you got a black man the mar Travian Trey
Red of Grenada, and a white man, Cory Zacatis thirty six,
of Brandon, was also found later in the day near
a casino in Vicksburg. Police are still investigating the deaths.
Speaker 10 (53:16):
M w D I A hello, Hello, hey there, Hey,
how are you story?
Speaker 2 (53:27):
I'm doing good? How are you?
Speaker 7 (53:29):
I am okay, this is Joyce. I Oh.
Speaker 5 (53:34):
About the.
Speaker 13 (53:36):
Those coming to Memphis, I'm kind of ambivalent. I think
I'd like for them to come, but.
Speaker 3 (53:44):
I also worry about so many young people who resent authority,
who don't want to follow instructions.
Speaker 29 (53:57):
Yes, and so.
Speaker 13 (54:00):
I wonder if they may put themselves in harms way
by doing that, And so I worry about that, angle
love it, but I do know that something needs to
be done about the crime because I also hate that
they are killing up each other.
Speaker 7 (54:21):
Yeah, and so the other thing is.
Speaker 13 (54:28):
The young man at Delta State. I hate that, really
and truly. Both people, but whether it's lynching or whether
it's suicide, both of them are big problems, big social
problems that need to be dealt with, and I was
gonna deal with them.
Speaker 7 (54:50):
You keep searching for answers.
Speaker 13 (54:52):
Of course, praise one of the answers in second Chronicle
seven fourteen, God gives us the prescription. But the other thing,
yesterday I tried fifteen times to get in and couldn't.
I so desperately wanted to answer or either say something
(55:13):
in relationship to the gentleman who called.
Speaker 15 (55:16):
And I don't know if he was just joking with
you or that.
Speaker 1 (55:19):
Well yesterday missus Joyce. Miss Joyce, let me tell you
this and you can finish that. But yesterday's show was recorded.
Uh huh, it was an old show.
Speaker 5 (55:29):
Oh it wasn't old.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
It wasn't here. That's why I didn't answer.
Speaker 13 (55:33):
Oh okay, but it was one of the things that
I think is part of the crime problem.
Speaker 12 (55:39):
Now.
Speaker 13 (55:40):
I don't know if he was just joking, but he
said something about he had twelve baby mamas. Listen, and
I touched a superman. I just, well, you said, Superman.
Speaker 15 (55:53):
That's part of today's problem.
Speaker 13 (55:57):
With crime and things like that is so many people
have children. They drop their seed wherever, and they don't
go back and help raise them or help take care
of them. And you may give a little money sometime,
but children need your presence time, you're engaged in their lives.
(56:22):
And so it's not funny just to have ten or
twelve or eight children by different women at all, because
how are you being involved in their lives? And so
I just wanted to say to me anybody. I tell
my son and grandson that if you aren't ready to
stay in the house with the lady and help raise
(56:44):
your own seeds, you need to wrap it up.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
Wrap it up. And she just told you. Thank you.
It's joyce.
Speaker 1 (56:50):
I got a run, but thank you so much for
calling in Wdia. Hello, Hello, hellooney, hey there, how are.
Speaker 7 (56:59):
You I'm doing fine?
Speaker 28 (57:02):
Be stormy, you know, you know I was just listening.
Uh you know, it's sad what happened to the young
guy at the college. You know there was some foul
play going on with that.
Speaker 5 (57:20):
No, we all know that.
Speaker 7 (57:23):
And I think they got Benjamin Crump that's coming down
there to look into that.
Speaker 2 (57:30):
Probably.
Speaker 28 (57:31):
Yeah, from what I heard, Benjamin Crump is going down
there and look into that.
Speaker 10 (57:36):
The family had.
Speaker 5 (57:37):
Got Benjamin Crump to come down.
Speaker 28 (57:41):
Oh, and I was listening, Yeah, I was listening, Stormy.
You know, people seem really nervous about the National Guard coming.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
You know, uh, how you feel about it.
Speaker 7 (57:55):
I feel about it.
Speaker 28 (57:57):
I mean, I'm a low body, so it don't matter
to me if they come. You know, I work every day.
I'm a working man.
Speaker 8 (58:09):
You know.
Speaker 7 (58:09):
I don't get out here and break laws.
Speaker 5 (58:13):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 28 (58:14):
Yeah, us truck drivers, we love you stalking. I'm a
truck driver too.
Speaker 7 (58:21):
Yeah yeah, we we we we love you stalking.
Speaker 5 (58:24):
We love to listen to you.
Speaker 7 (58:27):
Thank you you you you you very intelligent, you know,
and I like that. It's many times I tried to
call but couldn't get in.
Speaker 28 (58:36):
Sometime I'm not gonna be able to but you know,
I just like to pull a little knowledge out there
about some things, you know, like what happened a couple
of days ago.
Speaker 7 (58:47):
The guys got out the car and the car was
rolling and and they was just shooting.
Speaker 12 (58:53):
You know.
Speaker 7 (58:53):
I'm like, you know, like right way, where are we
in Dods sitting somewhere?
Speaker 1 (59:00):
Uh, you know, mister Eric, it's interesting you say that.
I was watching gun Smoke last night. Yeah, and that's
what it reminded me of.
Speaker 10 (59:13):
You're right, I'm right, you know, and it's it's it's
a whole lot of that going on.
Speaker 7 (59:20):
See it's a word saying some of our troubles is
of our wall naked, you know. And uh, I feel
like this. Yeah, if you.
Speaker 28 (59:31):
If you're not out here breaking any laws or what.
The National Guard they gonna only protect and serve.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
That's right. Thank you, mister Eric. I appreciate you calling
calling in on today. Thank you. Okay, all right, bye bye,
w d I A hello, Hello Storm the team, Hey,
lady d how you doing.
Speaker 7 (59:53):
I'm thanks for as you out you know, lasting God
might be here permanent.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
Right you said what now the National Guard might be here?
Speaker 30 (01:00:04):
What do you said they might be How we feel
about them being in our city?
Speaker 20 (01:00:10):
Permanent?
Speaker 15 (01:00:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
And indefinitely indefinitely.
Speaker 30 (01:00:13):
Yeah, yeah, where our bad centence was black and then
you and if We have a lot of people that's
gonna abide by the law. But unless the National Guard
to see you have to be careful, Government Bill leave thout.
He would con send him to every city. Now you
(01:00:35):
told everybody everybody can everybody gets strapped. You just strapped
you anybody you don't have nothing, just go get your
gun where that's what's going on store on me.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
And they got them big guns to.
Speaker 30 (01:00:52):
Showing that just like when they were shooting up there
at the car. That's something they see on television. I'm
telling you on television.
Speaker 7 (01:01:03):
Uh machine guns.
Speaker 30 (01:01:05):
All right, let you know, mith the spin and carry them.
But they saying and they say that till we get
up there, them sound like canum. Unless they go up
there arm strapped and bangers.
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
What was they gonna do to those guys.
Speaker 30 (01:01:21):
See you got these DGF they not They not gonna
respect anything. They ready for you, the new the genial
rations that DGL storm me.
Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
They don't care.
Speaker 30 (01:01:34):
They ain't gonna respect you. Show you you out there
shooting the machine guns, that stuff you see on TV
N And if you don't respect methods spinists, they when
they come in the cities, they probably gonna have to
stay here, Storm, because if not, you can't. You scared
(01:01:57):
to come after doing everybody skill.
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
But when they come in here and it's bad.
Speaker 30 (01:02:04):
The same them DGF they then that's a guy ready
for one, ready for them because it's some they don't care.
They might hand sid They on bad drugs. Either they
watching TV that stuff you see in.
Speaker 7 (01:02:22):
The movie Jump out the car, shoot.
Speaker 15 (01:02:25):
Jump back in the car and video game.
Speaker 30 (01:02:30):
And that is your game. All this stuff they either
a bad drugs or they watching I'm gonna say a
game too much TV.
Speaker 7 (01:02:38):
So you ask for it.
Speaker 30 (01:02:41):
If they jump out and see you with a gone
you think they gonna say, boy, y'all put them guns down.
Speaker 11 (01:02:48):
No, ma'am.
Speaker 20 (01:02:49):
They armed and they dangerous when they come in this city.
Speaker 30 (01:02:52):
So please talk to your children and this too.
Speaker 15 (01:02:55):
Shire pass on that no Storm, have a good one.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
All right, lady d thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
She basically is saying, each one, reach one, all right,
we gonna come back.
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
Take your emails and.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
Your calls, unforgetful common man, Marcus Denver, Norman red Wing
brother Bernard, y'all hold on, we'll be back in a moment.
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
I don't know if y'all have ever paid attention to this.
I try to pay attention to it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
I look at, you know, some of the people that
be selling clothes, you know, and stuff, and you know,
their little designs and stuff, and I'd be wondering, what
does this design mean?
Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
And and is it is it? Is it something that
I need to.
Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Look up because I don't want to be wearing nothing
that y'all know what I'm saying. I want to be
wearing no no devil on my shirt. Don't realize that's
what it is. But these these these designers be doing
some stuff. I'm careful about wearing clothes that have a
lot of words on them. Yeah, man, because what is
(01:04:03):
they saying? Who put these on his clothes? What are
they trying to say? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
I honestly don't know. Mhm.
Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
Let me go to the phone. See what y'all talking
about today? Who's been holding the longest here?
Speaker 5 (01:04:16):
W d I A Hello, Ay Stormy, good evening to you.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Good evening to your brother Bernard. How you doing.
Speaker 7 (01:04:25):
Story?
Speaker 5 (01:04:25):
I'm doing well?
Speaker 25 (01:04:27):
You know what I am.
Speaker 26 (01:04:31):
I recently watched UH interviews and of Judge Joe Brown
and Missus.
Speaker 11 (01:04:40):
Recently, and you know, we we need.
Speaker 26 (01:04:46):
That type of knowledge and boldness and one one of
our local leadership positions and missus someone that who's going
to address the hearts of of these men and women
that are perpetrating this foolishness and crime throughout the city,
(01:05:07):
because other than that, we have no one in position
who's bold enough to address uh, the the men and
women who are you know, committing you know, this this foolishness.
Speaker 1 (01:05:22):
You think they too busy trying to get on CNN
and M S, N, B C and A B C
and CBS and.
Speaker 7 (01:05:30):
All of that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
That what you're thinking.
Speaker 26 (01:05:33):
I agree with that, because you know, they are seemed
to be uh prepart perpetrate and or promoting uh crime themselves.
Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
Because why is.
Speaker 26 (01:05:48):
The clerk of a court uh complaining about uh processing tickets.
Speaker 11 (01:05:55):
I understand that the labor might.
Speaker 26 (01:05:59):
Require some additional service hours for that particular sector of business.
But our applaud the law enforcement operations that are that
are underway and message because the Tennessee Highway Patrol appears
to be addressing their jurisdiction, which is the Tennessee Highway,
(01:06:22):
where they can flush out uh.
Speaker 11 (01:06:24):
Those people that they can possibly intercept.
Speaker 26 (01:06:29):
On the highway, which in turn provides a relaf Stormy
to the meno where they can yeah, they can address
the inner city. And so that that's where we are,
because this is the whole picture. I understand their complaining
and and nagging about sending finances, but uh, we need
(01:06:52):
to see some transparency on where they're putting the finances
as it stands.
Speaker 5 (01:06:56):
Because.
Speaker 11 (01:06:58):
That you know, we we we we deserve the wrong,
you know what.
Speaker 26 (01:07:04):
But someone is not broke that's in in the position
of appropriating those funds because storm of this is the reality.
Until a land can secure it's it's it's safety, our
our area of investments will always be compromised because when
(01:07:25):
we come to the table of bargaining to attract businesses,
build properties and other investments, we're always going to have
littles of no control because these and potential potential investors
will say, where your your land is plagued by crime,
So why why do we need to come and set
up business? Why do we need to build properties there?
(01:07:47):
And if they do come, they're going to have a
leg up on the on the tax break.
Speaker 15 (01:07:52):
So that that's that on there.
Speaker 7 (01:07:54):
I will not go further.
Speaker 26 (01:07:55):
But as far as this unfortunate matter surrounding Cale Solomon.
Speaker 11 (01:08:03):
You know that is that is very unfortunate.
Speaker 26 (01:08:05):
But but I will say this, it is widely known
when you pay attention to the traffic and the speeding
that goes on on Central Avenue west of Cooper, which
is supposedly where the collision happened, there is no way
(01:08:26):
one can believe that they have time to safely make
a U turn.
Speaker 9 (01:08:31):
In that area.
Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
I got you, brother, or not, I got to run,
but but thank you. I got you.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Yeah, you're you're right, and that yeah, you're welcome. And
then that made me wonder you know you Yeah, yeah,
first thing, slow down, Second thing, stop making U turns.
And I'm telling myself that because that made one yesterday.
(01:08:56):
If you if it's safe for you to make it,
then do it, okay, And I mean in areas where
it says you can make when you know, because there's
the intersections around here to tell you don't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
But if you're in the middle of a street, just
say no.
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
I was out Friday night and I was sitting there
looking at the car. This young girl she was talking
to somebody, and I couldn't believe it. She busted you
turn in the middle of the street. Anybody could have
been coming, could have been a motorcyclist going fast, and
what would have happened, same thing that happened to Kayla Solomon.
Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
Uh, my time is winding down.
Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
So I'm just gonna ask you guys to give me
what you got, but give it to me a as
quick as you you know, not as quick as I'm
gonna be timing you, but just you know, quicker.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
W D I A Hello, How I'm good? How are you?
Black taster? That's what I am.
Speaker 20 (01:09:54):
Yes, yes, you're right tastic. Absolutely, you know, I hear
of you that we should bring in somebody like Joe
Brown and doctor Harrington and others. But the truth is, Stormy,
they don't really have any power. It's just be a
lot of talk, a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
Of They may not have power, but they've got influence.
Speaker 7 (01:10:16):
They got influenced.
Speaker 20 (01:10:17):
But unless you can change the policy, change the laws.
If you can do what a governor can do and
say I want five hundred National Guards in message and
it happens. If the president can tell the governors what
to do and they do it, then you got power here.
As you heard, our pros our mayor said he was
told what he had to do and he had to
(01:10:38):
do it. So that's kind of where a lot of
our people are right now.
Speaker 15 (01:10:42):
We have to weigh on others.
Speaker 20 (01:10:44):
So you know, I just it's said, but that's kind
of where we are now.
Speaker 5 (01:10:47):
But you're right about this.
Speaker 20 (01:10:48):
If they have influence, if he has influence. But the
truth is the way things are going, we don't have
too much Evelan that.
Speaker 22 (01:10:55):
You know, one of that thing.
Speaker 20 (01:10:57):
You know, I heard the brother I think it was yesterday,
mentioned he had eight, ten, twelve children. You know, I
wouldn't brag about that. I really wouldn't brag about that.
To have that many children, especially many for many of
them who have children by different women, but not only men,
but women as well. Do you realize the kind of
hurt and pain you bring on children when you do that,
(01:11:21):
when you when you can no longer forward to take
care of those children, When every child come in the
world and more polity you that becomes a part of
their life.
Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
A cannon.
Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
He's saying the reason he did it was because of trauma.
That's what he's saying.
Speaker 2 (01:11:37):
Now, that's what he said, Conte, Look.
Speaker 10 (01:11:39):
How many children gonna suffer?
Speaker 22 (01:11:41):
My mother had.
Speaker 11 (01:11:42):
Eleven children and none of the men.
Speaker 7 (01:11:44):
Most of the men did stay around.
Speaker 20 (01:11:46):
But you know, I also wonder what made her do that,
because every time she did that, it brought about more
trauma and pain for us. We were already grey, poor
and suffering way it was, but you know, they still
made the decision to do it, and it calls more
trauma and paint. And this is why so many children
are broken and her today, because you know, they have
(01:12:08):
a destrutment. They're trying to make it. They don't understand.
Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
And I got you, mister Red, all those I got you.
I appreciate you. Yeah, I was looking at brother Or.
I was talking about Judge Joe Brown. He's weighing in
on the National Guard. Let me see what he said.
See if you can heal in.
Speaker 31 (01:12:26):
Memphis with Judge Joe Brown. So, judge, he just had
some admirers. They wanted to just their picture with him,
and he gave him some law advice. They were in
law school actually, so he gave him some great advice. Uh, judge,
what do you make of the announcement by President Trump
today that he wants to send in the National Guard
with the approval of the Democrat mayor and the Republican governor,
what do you think of this?
Speaker 32 (01:12:42):
They need to send it in the Republican governor is
not doing too well in his popularity in these days.
The Democrat mayor is trying to maintain a grip on
a little deal that he put together when he was
running downtown development with some other people old Trump and
is properly against DEEI and all of that other stuff.
Speaker 31 (01:13:05):
But there is a.
Speaker 32 (01:13:06):
Decrepit downtown hotel that represents a major international hotel chain
that when the current mayor, Paul Young was over downtown development,
they got a contract for that's close to two hundred
and twenty million dollars that the city is paying to
develop the reconstruction and renovation of that hotel.
Speaker 7 (01:13:29):
Problem.
Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
Well, he did exactly what I thought he was going
to do.
Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
Answer everything but the question w D I A hello,
thank hey there, how are you doing?
Speaker 22 (01:13:46):
Hey well, Joe Brown, we're talking to the teller.
Speaker 15 (01:13:49):
He was telling the super about Blue or or or
the boo Blue over the company. Yeah, Blue over a company.
Speaker 10 (01:13:58):
It's not trip me out.
Speaker 17 (01:14:01):
Nobody want to tell the truth to me, but to
check you out, Tom when it comes to all these
people that's lying up. We need to have a law
called the un Forgetful Wolf's Law because people declining wolf
and it is not true Stormy.
Speaker 7 (01:14:16):
They need Yeah, they definitely do.
Speaker 17 (01:14:19):
And let me understand here, the young age made is
u turn and someone got chilled. Yes, verical homicide.
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
Right according to the charges I saw, that wasn't one
of them. Let me see if I can pull the
story up really quick and tell you.
Speaker 17 (01:14:35):
They understand people, she's there fault and she ain't saying
she's not get there.
Speaker 7 (01:14:40):
This is a trip.
Speaker 15 (01:14:42):
Nobody wanted to take responsibility. But check you out them.
You don't have to look it up, but check this
out at l now.
Speaker 22 (01:14:50):
I got a little dealing with that because.
Speaker 17 (01:14:52):
I know some family numbers and all that kind of stuff.
But I'm not gonna get too deep in the names
and so. But storman with the governor because the caller
a man to take. Why has the government I ain't
rescinding this open carriage law with gone? Why you're not
recinding it?
Speaker 30 (01:15:07):
I mean sorry, helping people you know.
Speaker 15 (01:15:10):
Go to training about weathers, and I also have some
kind of identification on it.
Speaker 17 (01:15:15):
I don't understand why its governing governor is not doing it.
Speaker 15 (01:15:19):
So ats it's gonna be a hard job to do
when you're.
Speaker 22 (01:15:23):
Teev people walking around with God.
Speaker 7 (01:15:25):
I wonder how they're gonna work out.
Speaker 1 (01:15:26):
That's gonna be interesting. Unforgetful. Thank you so much for
calling in. Appreciate you.
Speaker 10 (01:15:30):
W d I A hello, Hey something you going?
Speaker 20 (01:15:34):
Hey?
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
I'm good coming man? How are you.
Speaker 5 (01:15:38):
Am? All right? Ding I? I don't speak about that
those accidents and depths on the tomorrow the next day
when I.
Speaker 7 (01:15:44):
Get a chance.
Speaker 2 (01:15:45):
But uh, you got got a few minutes, you know,
A couple, a couple.
Speaker 5 (01:15:50):
I got, I got other I got other stuff I
rather speak about right now, Okay, okay, yeah? Uh is ironic?
Thank thank gone. You know, the premier was you know,
wiped out in the state of Tennessee. But Memphis and
then Nashville are the only two cities with major crime
(01:16:11):
problems when it comes to battle crime. That's ironic. So
it's the people. You know, Wow, ye had a caller,
had you had a caller earlier? A lady speaking about well,
when the National Guard come here, they're not going to
be doing anything. You see him picking up paper and this,
that and the other. One thing I would assume that
it would do is free up MPD. You know, but
(01:16:34):
then we're also being shallow without thinking because they're forgetting
that the FBI, the at F, the d a Ice
and a bunch of other people are going to be.
Speaker 2 (01:16:44):
And he said he might send the military.
Speaker 5 (01:16:47):
That's right, So what do you suspect they would be doing.
Speaker 22 (01:16:50):
These people are coming to do something.
Speaker 5 (01:16:51):
We got to quit this little optimism.
Speaker 10 (01:16:55):
You know, that's right.
Speaker 22 (01:16:56):
I can't tell nobody what to do, how to.
Speaker 5 (01:16:58):
Think, but I'm just trying to wake up a little
bit and being Miss George, Miss George with the emotionspect,
because she sounds like she's my senior and I would
respect her just like I respect my mother. She said,
she's you know, skeptical or worried about children or people
who may not respect authority. With Miss George with the
(01:17:19):
emotion respect. These are the same people who don't respect
their parents, who don't respect you and I, who don't
respect MPD. I'm not worried about them. I'm worried about me.
You stormy, law abiding people. The people who have been
victimized in this city for the last three four five
years by the same people that you're talking about, won't
(01:17:41):
respect authority. She got thinking we're worried about the wrong stuff.
We need to be concerned about ourselves. And if they
got in Tracessawyer, I mean Tamas Sawyer talking about JLB,
if you got it, if they got to stand up
and sleep, I don't care, lock the ball up, get
away from here. Well, we're trying to be civilized. That
that's what we've been complaining about the whole time.
Speaker 17 (01:18:02):
That's criminals.
Speaker 5 (01:18:03):
Yeah. Now they're trying to figure out something to do
with them. If we still complaining, Hm, well i'll be
if the man is it, come on now.
Speaker 1 (01:18:13):
Appreciate you man, Thank you so much for calling in
w D I A hello, Yes, greetings, greetings and salutations markers.
Speaker 33 (01:18:21):
So then they ask your question if if the lows
of our codentry are oppressive, are you obliged to respect
goods laws.
Speaker 22 (01:18:33):
Lodge of our condentry are oppressive?
Speaker 33 (01:18:35):
Are you obliged obligated to respect goods oppressive logs that
are oppressive to you?
Speaker 12 (01:18:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Because they allowed that mean so then.
Speaker 22 (01:18:46):
You are complicit with your owner pressure me when you said.
Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
That, now, don't mean you're complicit with your own impression. Now,
it just means that you're trying to follow the law.
Don't be called argin with me, Marcus, Anna.
Speaker 21 (01:18:59):
Be with you.
Speaker 5 (01:19:01):
You said what you said.
Speaker 15 (01:19:04):
Okay, I respect that you said what you said, and
I said what happened.
Speaker 22 (01:19:08):
Okay, let's move to the next point.
Speaker 5 (01:19:13):
You know, it is the same people who.
Speaker 11 (01:19:16):
Said they're coming to help you.
Speaker 34 (01:19:17):
You know, they are the ones who create the condition
that we are in the seal. People who say, oh,
I'm coming to help you, you're the same people that
started the fire.
Speaker 29 (01:19:31):
Wasn't there a player Sky black Wise Street? Wasn't the
a player Scar who was would wasn't the appear Scar Ashville?
Wasn't the air player Scar Willmingtondelaware.
Speaker 34 (01:19:44):
Every attempt that black folks meant to make any economic
movement in this country, it was destroyed.
Speaker 20 (01:19:52):
Okay, that is fact.
Speaker 15 (01:19:55):
That a myth, that's fact.
Speaker 30 (01:19:58):
So the sale people that creates.
Speaker 34 (01:20:00):
The economic conditions, that's driving the poverty, that's driving the violence, that.
Speaker 22 (01:20:07):
Gives you this, Educate you about who you are, turn your.
Speaker 34 (01:20:12):
Mind and your self, come and say yeah, I'm coming
to save you.
Speaker 20 (01:20:17):
I'm coming to save you.
Speaker 10 (01:20:20):
You know.
Speaker 21 (01:20:21):
Civility has done broken down in this country. Anyway, Yesterday
I was watching that thing with the Senator the Senate
and the FBI man talking, and I said.
Speaker 29 (01:20:34):
Look at the conditioner's country.
Speaker 21 (01:20:37):
Look at these people who are supposed to represent those
Civility is gone, and that.
Speaker 34 (01:20:43):
Close with this, you are in prison on this country.
The black people is a prison. The USA my larger prison.
Speaker 22 (01:20:51):
And I tell you right now before you eat, you
don't produce it.
Speaker 20 (01:20:56):
The close your hear, you don't make it right.
Speaker 22 (01:20:59):
The egg, your shot, your gut, you your head.
Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
You say I got you, mar because I got a run.
You're running up to three minutes. Now I gotta go
w D I a hello. Sone it out then.
Speaker 1 (01:21:16):
But now come on, but before I do the same,
you do it. I'm good.
Speaker 35 (01:21:24):
Somebody by Marcus uh boat tigkeet back to wherever he
came from so he can.
Speaker 12 (01:21:29):
St up with all this foolishness.
Speaker 15 (01:21:31):
This man stopped crying, Kitty, the white man, get off
that man.
Speaker 1 (01:21:36):
Get out that man and say what you're gonna say.
Speaker 15 (01:21:39):
It's sad, it's pathetic. Actually it's just an okay. Oh
I've been hearing everybody call everybod folks complain about Uh.
Speaker 22 (01:21:50):
It's the white man that now letting black folks again.
Speaker 15 (01:21:54):
MISSI we get nobody has.
Speaker 35 (01:21:56):
Called in a minute, I haven't heard that the young
black young found on Delta State University, Texas was African American,
but the other.
Speaker 9 (01:22:04):
Guy was a white man.
Speaker 36 (01:22:07):
But for no reason, we're always so quick to jump
on in black and white boat. And we wonder why
we can't freaking get past black and white, because just
all we talk about is black and white instead of merit,
hard work, tenacity, endurance, making things happen.
Speaker 15 (01:22:26):
If you want to be successful in life, you can
do that if you want to.
Speaker 12 (01:22:30):
But we all if we're confused as to why we
have a generation of children that are gone astraight, that's
out shooting up the town thirteen years old, Why you're
not in a home at home before at ten o'clock,
before nine o'clock, Why don't your parents know where you are?
Because we have a generation before this.
Speaker 7 (01:22:51):
One they gave up, they let their guards down.
Speaker 12 (01:22:56):
It is so sad that we don't instill into our
youth you can do what you put your mind to.
Speaker 15 (01:23:04):
You can be what you want to be. In the
past forty eight hours, I took a case, drove a
case all the way to New Mexico.
Speaker 35 (01:23:10):
Monday night, turn around yesterday morning after nine hour drive
and drove back today. I'll have working through cases in
the forty eight hours and is not to toot my horn,
but it's these folks initially, No.
Speaker 30 (01:23:22):
You can do.
Speaker 15 (01:23:23):
You can be successful. I've made almost three grand in
two days.
Speaker 20 (01:23:28):
But I'm not sitting around winding about what the white
man didn't allow me to do.
Speaker 15 (01:23:32):
Come on, we got to.
Speaker 7 (01:23:34):
Get past you, got to get past it.
Speaker 15 (01:23:36):
That's my time, this story.
Speaker 7 (01:23:37):
Thank you.
Speaker 15 (01:23:38):
I just want our folks to get over there.
Speaker 12 (01:23:40):
It's so much week greatness in us if we.
Speaker 15 (01:23:43):
Stop whining about the white man this and the white
man that. Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (01:23:50):
All right, thank you so much for calling in. I
appreciate that it's got a text message. I'm trying to
see what it is because it's blank, a picture that's
blind and what that is, let's see.
Speaker 5 (01:24:04):
Uh oh.
Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
Okay, yeah, I do want to. I saw on the news.
Let me let me say this, and I got to
get to my classic TV throwback really quick. But the
charges for Kayla Solomon that I saw failure to yield
right of way resulting in death, failure to exercise do
(01:24:32):
care and making a U turn on a curve or
heal all misdemeanors. I just wanted to share that and
also share I saw the story I was looking for
it about the National Urban League and what they were
(01:24:53):
saying about coming together and praying, well, men us to
come together and pray, and I commend them for doing
something bringing us all together
Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
And trying to unify us
