Speaker 1 (00:00):
They said, you wasn't gonna make it.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
No, not you.

Speaker 3 (00:02):
But I'm glad that you are still yet old and known.
God is good, ain't it all the time. But there's
there's a there's yeah, something a brewin. It was brewing.
Nobody told me about it, Young August and young Chad.
I can't believe y'alln't tell me. And I know y'all
on TikTok, some of y'all ow TikTok too.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
I had no idea.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
That the rapture was supposed to take place at twelve
a m. This morning. Nobody told me, And I guess
that's the way.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
It's supposed to be. Nobodys supposed to say.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
But there was a there is a pastor who actually predicted,
and haven't we heard those predictions before? There is a pastor,
pastor who actually predicted that the rapture was going to
happen twelve a m. This morning, That's what he said.

(00:55):
But maybe we should look at the time zone anyway.
A lot of folks on TikTok, they're like, we made
it through that. But is it a good thing to
make it through the rapture? Is it?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
How?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Its September twenty third.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
And I hope that all of you are good today.
Let's see Tuesday is Checkers Day. Let me see Checkers.
I think it's the game. Today is also known as
Dogs in Politics Day, and the day bears both names
because of a speech that was given by Richard Nixon. Okay,
nineteen fifty two. Nixon was a candidate for Vice president

(01:38):
and of the United States, running alongside Dwight Eisenhower. It
had been speculated through the media that eighteen thousand dollars
in campaign contributions were partially used by Nixon for his
own personal expenses. In his defense, Nixon gave a speech
addressing the issue, saying that he didn't but that he

(01:58):
did receive some gifts. One of those gifts was a
dog named Checkers. So that's why y'all got it Checker
to Day. I can't believe this is the actual anyway,
My goodness. Politics is the tone that's set in this country,
whether you want to talk about it or not. If
you're talking about the National Guards coming to Memphis, you

(02:18):
are talking politics. Because everybody's talking about city council. I
believe tonight or today, they're supposed to be doing a
resolution on today and I saw where maybe the County Commission,
I don't know, well, I know the city Council. So
in the White House, you know, they had a few
things to say about it, they said. Numerous Tennessee officials

(02:39):
have applauded President Trump's generous offer to help the great
State of Tennessee clean up Memphis, which had the highest
violent crime rate, highest poverty crime rate, and third highest
murder rate in twenty twenty four. Just like President Trump
successfully transformed crime written Washington, d c. Into a safe
city in a matter of days, he will also quickly

(03:03):
save Memphis from soft on crime policies and make it
safe again. That was their response to the resolution that's
supposed to be voted on this evening by the council.
The resolution urges Governor Lee to reject President Donald Trump's

(03:24):
current proposal and states that the Memphis City Council authorizes
the City Council Attorney to take whatever legal action is
necessary to oppose the occupation of the National Guard in Memphis.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
That's what it says. So, I guess.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Tonight's the night. Last week they did announce it, So
tonight's the night that they're going to I guess make
their decision, and y'all know we don't hear about it.
You already know we're gonna hear more about that in
the days to come. Well, it looks like the Shelby
County Commission did something last night.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
What do y'all think about this? Do you think it is?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I don't see anything wrong with it, but a lot
of the Memphis City Council members they don't like it.
In a decision that will likely trigger pushback and possible lawsuits,
the Shelby County Commission gave its approval to put all
nine Memphis Shelby County school Board seats on the ballot
for twenty twenty six. What do y'all think about that?

(04:24):
Because you know that's all of them, er one of them,
all nine of them on the ballot. See, I thought
it was just going to be the newer ones, but no,
it's all of them. So this is interesting. This is
what Commissioner Shelby County Commissioner Amber Mills said. She said,

(04:45):
it's what the people were asking for to have all
the school board races aligned for twenty twenty six. We
do have the part of it that comes into play
where the people were wanting a recall and that was
not an option, so this was the next best thing.
That's what she said. Now, the decision will also mean
shortening the four year terms of office for five school

(05:10):
board members who were just elected in twenty twenty four,
such as to Marcus Porter. So he said, I also
cautioned that over two thousand people that voted for us
in twenty twenty four election, we just don't want to
circumvent the people that came out did their due diligence.
They researched the candidates, and they ultimately placed the right

(05:30):
person in office who they feel our respect for, you know,
they feel in our respective districts. That's what Tomarcus Porter
had to say. So this is let me see, I know,
to Marcus Porter, Tijuana, her seat will be up, and
all the five new ones. I don't have the names
of all of them in front of me. But this

(05:52):
isn't just them, this is everybody. Everybody are the board members?
All of them?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, every last one of them.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
So, and you know what this all sparked from some say,
you know, you know a lot of folks are saying,
you know what they're gonna say about this.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
A lot of folks saying it's got something to do.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
With you know, that board meeting and that decision to
terminate msd S Superintendent Marie Fagins.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
What a mess.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I do wonder if they could go back and change things,
would they, you know what they that that meeting the
way it was handled, because I don't think it was
the well. The way the meeting was handled, I think

(06:45):
is what had a lot of people up in arms,
and I mean a lot of folk were not happy
about that meeting.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
So now.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Not just the new board members, but everybody. State lawmakers
approved a law allowing Shelby and Knox Counties to move
county school board races, prompting a possible legal fight. Now,

(07:17):
Tomarcus said the fight's not over. Personally, the fight is
not over, That's what he says. But what do y'all think?
Should they just let let it happen? Just let it go,
Let go and let God, because I'm gonna tell you
there are a lot of people that want to shake
things up with that board.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Say what you want to say, and I know you can,
you know a lot of you can.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
You can. Two things can be true. You can love
the people on the board and still want them shook
up or want some of them gone, if not all.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
And I know.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
That there are some people in Nashville that would love
to see that happen. They shake it up, put some
people in there, they you know what I'm saying, put
their money behind some folks. Gives the new blood in Now,
what do y'all think about it? Do you think that
this is good? Are you excited about it? Because it
might not be over because commissioners, you know, they had

(08:13):
also considered moving the nine school board races to twenty thirty,
but it also would have led to the other four
school board seats on the twenty twenty eight ballot being
you know, for only you know, one time only term
for two years. So they made it to where twenty
twenty six, that's next year, not one, not two seats,

(08:37):
not three, not four, not five, not six, not se them,
but all nine of them up for election. What do
y'all think about that? Does nephis Shelby County School need
a new board? And would you vote the people that
you voted in that are on the board now would

(09:01):
you do it again?

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Would you do it again?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Mmm?

Speaker 1 (09:11):
I'm curious.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I thought I was kind of appalled because you remember
I was telling y'all yesterday about the Central High School band.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Even let you hear them.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
What they did at that game at Brighton High School.
That's nothing that you hear it again, it's just them if.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
That the band.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Now get this, the award winning band. Okay, Central Highs
award winning band. They didn't want them, Brighton High School said,
I think they said yesterday were too loud. The principal
band them or somebody over there bands Central High School band,

(09:58):
the babay they showed up about them tick. It's not
only did they buy them tickets, but they won that game.
They said it was the greatest students section of all time.
Mm hmmm. Them babies bought them kazoos and they had
a time. Hey the band showed up anyway, that's them

(10:33):
now you know them kazoos was loud to now Brighton
High School? Are you happy? Did you make the right move?
How y'all think about it? The kids showed up, baby,
come on, and they still played, just didn't get to
play like they had planned to. All right, one more

(10:56):
question and then we're gonna go to the phones, and
y'all probably tapping that out. You can't do so holler
at you, girl. But let's get to my final question
I want to ask you today. So I was checking
out this story and I thought it was really interesting.
An eleven year old student in Lansing's Dwight Rich School

(11:18):
of the Arts was expelled from school in May. You're
not gonna believe why this baby was expelled. You're not
gonna believe it. The eleven year old was expelled because
another student brought a gun to school. And I'm not

(11:39):
sure if the gun was loaded, But the eleven year
old did something I ain't no eleven year olds could do.
But I'm glad, and many are calling the eleven year
old a hero. He disarmed the student with the gun

(12:00):
and disassembled the gun. Okay, took the gun from this
eleven year old. Now, how many how many eleven year
olds do you know or even nineteen twenty year olds
do you know that would do something this courageous eleven

(12:20):
year old. His mom said that he, you know, had
the knowledge because of hunting. I guess he goes hunting
a lot. He had hunting knowledge, and he had learned
how to safely handle the weapon and remove the bullets. Now,
despite his intentions to protect his peers. The school expelled

(12:41):
him anyway, and they expelled him for possessing a weapon
on school grounds, citing Michigan law, even though the gun
wasn't he is. Now, mama was talking about, you know,
this situation and how it is affecting her child. Right,
kicked him out of school for the whole year. Online

(13:05):
schools are honoring their decision. Nor Yeah, that's a different.

Speaker 6 (13:11):
Resource or a different avenue to go.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
So they're trying to figure it out.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
So vitra mclerk and that was his mom talking about
what happened. They had to go fund me set up
and all that good stuff, and you know, they provided
the Lansing School District they provided a statement saying that
Michigan law provides very clear direction in cases involving dangerous weapons.
The investigation, which included statements and video evidence, left no

(13:37):
ambiguity and required this outcome. That's what they said. Expulsion
is never a decision that the district takes lightly. It
is always considered a last resort. Now, the mom went
to the meeting the school board and talked to them
about it. They still do y'all think it was fair
that they expelled this child? It wasn't his gun. He
didn't bring it to school. All he did was dismantle

(13:59):
it or disassemble it. Now some people are calling calling him.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
A hero, but he got expelled.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Now, one thing that you know, if you listen to
the story and hear the mother out, she said, this
is the one thing that child wouldn't do. He would
not tell them who brought the gun to school. Yikes,
But do you think the school board was right for
expelling the eleven year old Michigan boy? M Well, let's

(14:37):
get to your calls, emails and all that good stuff.
Y'all holler at me and tell me what you're thinking
about today's topics.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
What y'all gonna do? School board?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
If the elections are next year, you're voting for the
same person you put in there.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
What you're gonna do?

Speaker 3 (14:49):
All right, let's get to these phones and see what
you're talking about on today wd I A Hello, greetings
and salutations, Marc. What's going on?

Speaker 7 (15:00):
One?

Speaker 8 (15:00):
People in lands in Michigan. They're crazy because that you know,
then adults there that school board we should do like
we're going to do. These jokers here and this school
board here that two thousand people voted for that, ain't
no mandate. Give them a pear of skates and push
them on down Poplar into the Mississippi River. You see

(15:23):
what I'm saying, because I know next year they ain't
gonna be in there. They ain't gonna be in there.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
They're gonna slide them.

Speaker 9 (15:30):
On down there into the Mississippi River.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Who are you talking about in Lansing or here in.

Speaker 10 (15:35):
Memphis, Lancing and here especially that part one day.

Speaker 8 (15:41):
That that that that that lady out.

Speaker 11 (15:43):
She now.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
Down there?

Speaker 9 (15:49):
So hey, do we uh you talk about the rapture?

Speaker 10 (15:55):
You really believe in that foolishness starving?

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Do you really believe every I.

Speaker 10 (16:01):
Do somebody going to come, hey, we're gonna go to
get caught up in this guy?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Well, Marcus, is you don't believe?

Speaker 3 (16:08):
You ain't gonna you going? And I'm not laughing at you.
I was just you know, I'm sorry.

Speaker 10 (16:16):
Jealousy, ignorant, and superstition.

Speaker 8 (16:21):
That's what clothing black people mind today.

Speaker 12 (16:24):
Jealousy.

Speaker 10 (16:25):
We are a lot of our people full of jealousy.

Speaker 13 (16:28):
Don't like you see.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
Another one of us?

Speaker 14 (16:30):
Do?

Speaker 12 (16:31):
Well?

Speaker 6 (16:31):
Why she got that?

Speaker 7 (16:32):
Why he got that?

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Ignorant? Why we like that? Marcus?

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Why do you think we like that. Why do you
think were like that?

Speaker 15 (16:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (16:41):
That's a passion with my nature.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
I think that's the.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Human nature as part of it.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
Yeah, you know, ignorant.

Speaker 10 (16:49):
Ignorance don't mean you're stupid, you know, ignorance just.

Speaker 7 (16:52):
Don't mean you don't know.

Speaker 12 (16:54):
But you just don't know.

Speaker 10 (16:56):
Ignorant certain things and superstition.

Speaker 9 (17:00):
Believe it a lot of mold Joe. And you know
you see that blood check that blood check boy in
funny you you.

Speaker 7 (17:06):
Know, Oh, don't walk under that, Letta.

Speaker 10 (17:08):
Anybody who is upper reacting on that, that mental framework
bound to get in trouble.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Hmm.

Speaker 15 (17:17):
That's why there.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
You take care, donk you.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Vermot Thank you very much, Marcus, have a good one.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yeah. Marcus even said, remember that Harris didn't even get
one delegate during the primary, So why would the Democrats
support her. I'm not into politics, and even I can
see that it's supporting failure if they support her.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Mmm mmmmmmm.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Mister Burke says, let me see the gun was loaded. Yeah,
they said that gun was loaded.

Speaker 16 (17:47):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
And let's see. Somebody just messaged me.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
They said, school board, the new elections align with all
county positions in Shelby County. Correct, they do. The school
board members that claim they are the chosen ones and
the people researched and elected them, Well, if they were chosen,
then the people will choose them again.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
That's from Randon. Now, you right about it.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
If the if you, if you made it, you slid
through that, you might slide through again.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
And I don't I don't think so some of them.
I don't think it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
I don't think so. Anyway, let's go back to the
phone and see what you guys are talking about today.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
W D I A Hello.

Speaker 11 (18:38):
Okay, you got to act up.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
You just got to.

Speaker 15 (18:43):
But it sounded like Charlie Brown teacher.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Somewhere with that.

Speaker 15 (18:54):
Mark. Hey, hey, it's all my fans and all my stituents,
including Kenneth. Kenneth knows who he is one of my constituents.
I mean a meet new constituents every day. So well,
the eleven year old we started with him, he had

(19:15):
no business, tried to fool that gun. He could have
shot up everybody that school. He's not properly trained. No
eleven year old can be properly trained.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
He wasn't he didn't hurt anybody, and he correctly disassembled.

Speaker 7 (19:31):
It could have.

Speaker 15 (19:33):
So if somebody driving one hundred and thirty miles an
hour down Main Street but it didn't hurt nobody, do
you want that's different?

Speaker 1 (19:43):
That's different.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
If you had a gun at a school, pointed at
me and a student took it from you and disassembled it,
I would give that student a big hug.

Speaker 15 (19:55):
But you have to be in a proper place to
disassemble a gun. You have to be down away.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Jackson, he did it.

Speaker 15 (20:04):
He did it well. He broke the rule. And he
didn't you say, he didn't tell who whose gun it was. No,
that's where they got met. They wanted to know whose
gun it was.

Speaker 11 (20:19):
What I didn't tell?

Speaker 15 (20:20):
You know, they got him. They nailed him, and uh,
let me my one of my favorite callers, Nurse Beverly.
You know she's beautiful, she can cook. And I'm not
I'm not talking about her. She keeps bringing up about
common man being an attorney.

Speaker 7 (20:40):
In a common man.

Speaker 15 (20:42):
He listens to c NBC, he reads stuff on the
internet and he tries to make it sound interesting. But
just like he was wrong about the ladies who let
her boy out at two o'clock in the morning. He
has no did what happened in that case?

Speaker 11 (21:03):
But you do.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
You you know what happened.

Speaker 15 (21:06):
What happened, Well, nobody knows what happened except the little boy.

Speaker 13 (21:13):
So why are you.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Common man today? The first Marcus now common man?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Next is gonna be.

Speaker 15 (21:19):
Me because he's not as smart as he.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
All Right, Jackson, Okay, that's enough. That's enough, that's enough,
that's I got. You better say it. You better say it.

Speaker 15 (21:40):
Okay, uh a child.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
That's what I was. Then you do and that was it,
and that is all. Happy birthday, common man's day is
your birthday. And I know Jackson probably a little jealous
of you. Yeah mm hmmm, yeah man, you know it. Ah,
happy birther day, common man. All Right, we're gonna come
back and talk to y'all some more. I got one

(22:04):
line that open says, Jackson is gone. Ah popkin, Hey girl,
We're gonna come and get your girl. Clyde, Lady d bigccone, y'all,
hold on, we'll be back, y'all. See at CNN was
talking about the billionaire philanthropists mckensis Goddy mackenzie. She donated
seventy million dollars to the un c F, as the

(22:26):
nation's largest private provider of scholarships to minority students, works
to raise billion dollars to strengthen all thirty seven of
its historically black colleges and universities. All right, Mackenzie, you
go girl, Okay, that's what I'm talking about. Mm hmm.
I'll let me read this one email and then I'm

(22:47):
gonna get back to the phones. I'm also gonna check
in with people who've tapped that app Okay. Miss Jordan
says the alignment is not shortening the five previous board
members of their terms. It's not shortening them. It's actually
gonna give them a chance to serve for ten years
and everyone else eight years. Huh oh, I see what

(23:14):
you're saying. If they win, see see see Now, if
they don't win, then they two and done. But you're right.
If they win in twenty twenty six, and if they
win in four years after that then twenty thirty, Yeah,
it'll give them ten to eight years, so you know

(23:39):
it's possible. But if they don't win, guess what they're
gonna do. Pack it up, go into the house. Yeah,
if they're doing the right thing, then what's your concerns
because they know they will not be reelected. The same
way they were adamant about firing Fagans and ignored the
constituents is the same way they should accept the realignment vote.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
I agree, I think they should accept it.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
You know why because everybody else's is like it, and
you know, and I know some people might say, well,
just because everybody else is doing it, don't mean.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
They had to do it.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
But they it aligns them, like the commissioners then, and
it gives them terms they should have them. So anyway,
let's go to the phones and see what you guys
are talking about today. W D I A hello, Hey
lady d how you doing.

Speaker 9 (24:34):
I'm doing good?

Speaker 17 (24:36):
Good when you think you know what?

Speaker 9 (24:44):
Who?

Speaker 3 (24:45):
I thought about?

Speaker 9 (24:46):
Who?

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Matter of fact, she's gonna be.

Speaker 11 (24:47):
Here share on the weed.

Speaker 17 (24:49):
You know that her grandmama? She said, They said she
was in the last day, grandmama? Can I ride my
bike on.

Speaker 9 (24:59):
Cad kill me? Remember them?

Speaker 12 (25:04):
Why?

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Two cases?

Speaker 18 (25:06):
It was coming to ND.

Speaker 17 (25:09):
I'm glad nobody know the time was why you care
about the world?

Speaker 3 (25:16):
The hour we was gong ago? Was it?

Speaker 9 (25:22):
I'm like, it's confused, everybody.

Speaker 17 (25:26):
Look, we're still here yet.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Here come here.

Speaker 17 (25:31):
Look, next year, we will still be here. The year
after that, we'll still be here when he gets ready.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Ain't nobody gonna know? He coming like a thief in
the night. Come on now, everybody, Preacher.

Speaker 17 (25:46):
I don't know why, preacher, and man man is not in.

Speaker 9 (25:52):
Control of this.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Now what man none done?

Speaker 9 (25:56):
Here? We going here, here, here, we're going.

Speaker 17 (26:00):
Jeez, everybody like okay, And really, the man that put
this out, he should think. You know, you should think
before you put stuff out. If I'm gonna put something out,
just my collent radio.

Speaker 9 (26:15):
Say if you don't know for sure, you know.

Speaker 19 (26:20):
We want to be the first one to break the news.

Speaker 17 (26:23):
But if we don't know for sure. And I'm like, okay,
d I ain't.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
Saying nothing about that.

Speaker 3 (26:31):
So just like when and the stone.

Speaker 18 (26:35):
I'm like, well it ain't been on d I eight years.

Speaker 17 (26:38):
And then you kept looking at I'm like, okay, this
career you because people can't get the world upset.

Speaker 11 (26:49):
But guess what.

Speaker 17 (26:51):
Long as he said hi, and he looks longer, whenever
he comes. Whenever he comes, all you need to do
is be ready.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
That's all you got to do is be ready.

Speaker 18 (27:03):
Just at the nationalized.

Speaker 17 (27:04):
Storm, it I'm not worrying about a bed in this
syncause they're not here from me.

Speaker 13 (27:09):
I welcome them.

Speaker 3 (27:10):
One thing they have done, they.

Speaker 17 (27:13):
Don't stop our hards from jumping out our chests.

Speaker 18 (27:16):
Like Steve said, they roll up on you.

Speaker 19 (27:19):
It's scared and.

Speaker 17 (27:20):
Missed out you now they scared bad boys.

Speaker 18 (27:24):
What you're gonna do when they come for you.

Speaker 17 (27:28):
It took a state troopers to come in this city
and make you slow down.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
It's stupid, that's right, lady Lady D shouldn't make you
slow down.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Uh uh, you should do that on your own. Thank
you Lady D for calling and appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
W D, I a hell o, we going on storm?

Speaker 16 (27:46):
Glad?

Speaker 3 (27:46):
I can't call it? What's going on with you?

Speaker 20 (27:50):
That's why it's a lot of folks. Then other FoST business.
Now then what don't get guy? And then let went
on shot?

Speaker 3 (28:00):
Who's going to shot up on the.

Speaker 20 (28:04):
But he was trying to be a hero and then
while be in school, stop being hero because a hero?

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Hey and uh Clyd, I'm gonna tell you right now.
You're let me let me tell you right now you
own that Chipmunk line.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Call me back. Okay, yeah, you own that chipmunk line.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
I hate to tell you call me back. Yeah, I
wanted to you was kind of clear that for a minute,
and then you started skipping out.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
I'm gonna you sound like a broken record. Call me back.
W d I A hello, Hello, I dare Hi.

Speaker 18 (28:40):
How are you doing?

Speaker 3 (28:41):
I'm doing pretty good. How are you doing on this
beautiful tuesday?

Speaker 4 (28:46):
I am doing wonderful. Thanks for asking. I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
No, I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
Oh yes, ma'am.

Speaker 17 (28:54):
Really quickly, I wanted to come in on the eleven
year old hero because that's what I'm gonna him.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
I think Mariah Harry should just take him aside and
just sing that song to him.

Speaker 11 (29:04):
Here, because that's what he is to me, because really quickly, he.

Speaker 17 (29:09):
Could have been at He could have been anywhere else
and not in school.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
But I think God.

Speaker 17 (29:13):
Sid that angel to school to protect those children and
protect those adoots who did not know he was carrying
that gun and this young, this young young hero, and
I will call him back. Until then, he did not
have to because he could have the person who had
to gun, the young man who had it. He could
have shot himself. He could have shot people in that school.

(29:39):
I could have shot anybody and everybody would have been
trying to It would have been all over the news.
That is like, instead of them trying to give him
a good merit award for his just for his justice
and what he did, they want to reprimand him and
expel him. And it just backwards to me. Now that

(29:59):
would have been a police officer or anybody else in
that school that was an adult, they'll be labor.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
As a hero.

Speaker 17 (30:05):
Because there was a one year old child, you want
to reprimand them.

Speaker 19 (30:09):
Really, I hope his parents seek lawyers and get.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
Some counseling for this right her child, because.

Speaker 17 (30:14):
That could be traumatizing to them and him or her
or whoever it was.

Speaker 18 (30:20):
Because of what.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
You don't saved life, he saved lit.

Speaker 17 (30:24):
And then I also want to touch basis on the
school board. Now I don't really just get into that
a whole lot, but I do want to say this.
I believe that Nick Sagan got fired.

Speaker 9 (30:36):
Because she was.

Speaker 17 (30:37):
Coming in there and she was doing her job and
she was probably gonna do both those who was getting
promoted and did not deserve these promotions.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Well, she did do a lot of that.

Speaker 17 (30:48):
Yeah, yeah, you're gonna get in that school and you're
gonna teach, You're gonna do what we need to do,
and that's gonna be that on that. So when you
got too many chiefs and not enough Indians, if they
don't want to do anything, they've gotten too comfortable taking
lunch breaks doing what they want to do, not coming in.
And they finally thought that she was gonna sit behind

(31:09):
that desk and say, oh, okay, as long as I
sit back here and not do anything, Uh, they're fine
with it.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
And then they're come the.

Speaker 17 (31:17):
Parents coming after her for them not doing.

Speaker 11 (31:20):
What they're supposed to do.

Speaker 18 (31:22):
So I really feel like.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
She lost her job for doing her job and that's sad.
Sad they had enough pair Harrison.

Speaker 18 (31:30):
On their hand and they didn't want to do it.

Speaker 15 (31:33):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah, well, thank you so much going.

Speaker 4 (31:37):
For lend me chime in on that.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
I appreciate you calling in. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Okay, Yeah, I saw something I wanted to let y'all
hear in a minute that I was like, hmm, anyway,
let me go back to the phones and see what
you're talking about on today.

Speaker 21 (31:55):
H w D.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
I A hello, big Cahona. How you doing.

Speaker 22 (32:03):
I'm doing just fine. I got a two or three
little topics, and I'm gonna be as quick as possible.
First of all, I must commend the counter Commission. They've
done what they're supposed to do. Now, then you remember
the meeting I attended that meeting. I voiced my opinion.
I told every last one of them, if you both

(32:26):
vote this lead out, the power of the people shall prevail.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
You think that's what's going on with the commission, They
were like, well, let's let's put this on the map,
because it could be they could end up in there
longer than you really want them in that big going
if they win again.

Speaker 22 (32:41):
But they ain't gonna win. And I'm gonna tell you
the ones that ain't gonna win, not Ling McKinney. She's gone.
Stepping in Love, she's gone. And when it comes to
sable Otay, she's gone. When it comes to Keith Williams,
he's going. And then when it comes to to Wanna

(33:02):
Murphy three times gone, and one mole is Jorce George
dors Coleman, she is gone. Because what I've seen at
that meeting storm was the level of incompetence and stupidity.

Speaker 12 (33:19):
It was at his highest lord level.

Speaker 22 (33:22):
And these people. The way they talk and the way
they behave they seem to be uneducated to me, and
they won't when once they get ousted out, they won't
be able to run for Dogg Kitchen because ain't nobody
gonna want to deal with them. And when Nate got
to the point where they wanted to dig a hole
for this, lady, your dig a hole for yourself. The chickens,

(33:45):
as the old folks would say, the chickens are coming through.

Speaker 11 (33:50):
Absolutely. And I got one more other thing.

Speaker 22 (33:53):
I looked at the un United Nations name today and
trumps lunacy was exposed to the on the world stage.
And what puzzles me, Stormy. You have all these people
that's in support of him, like Denver and black conservative

(34:14):
grown man Slim Jackson and several others and Clyde and
all of that, in which my personal opinion is anybody
who voted for Donald Trump need to check up from
the neck of And one last thing, Stormy, I's if
a certain person wanted to see the highest mark of stupidity, Jackson,

(34:38):
all you got to do is look in the mirror.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
And this bigger hole.

Speaker 9 (34:43):
Come on, now, I had to do it.

Speaker 15 (34:48):
And this is the place to be.

Speaker 22 (34:50):
It's been Stormy tea the experience ten seventy w D
I thank much?

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Uh yeah, w D.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
I A hello Ornie, Stormy.

Speaker 11 (35:05):
Hi there, Hi, how are you.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
I'm good, Miss Pat.

Speaker 19 (35:11):
I am wonderful too.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Thank you for asking.

Speaker 18 (35:13):
Hey, Stormy, I just shoot, I forgot what I was
gonna say.

Speaker 11 (35:17):
Oh, I'm sorry.

Speaker 17 (35:20):
The little boy, I think he's a little he the
eleven year old.

Speaker 19 (35:23):
I think he's a hero because he did something grown.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
Folks wouldn't have even been able to do. I think
that was very you know. Uh yeah, And I.

Speaker 11 (35:35):
Want to say happy birthday to coming man.

Speaker 17 (35:38):
He's one of the best callers you have.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
I enjoy common Man, so please.

Speaker 19 (35:43):
Be sure to say, well he'll hear happy birthday, coming Man.

Speaker 17 (35:48):
I have a wonderful day, Stormy.

Speaker 18 (35:50):
Love you.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
I love you too, Miss Patt. Thank you so much
for calling in. I appreciate you so very much.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Do I do?

Speaker 15 (35:57):
I do.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Let's see.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
I'm gonna go to the app and see what you
guys are saying on today. I do want to read
an email. This This is this right here, listen to this.
I return Stormy. Y'all think the Lord is lacking on
what he said, Notice how fast time is flying by.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
He's speeding it up.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
Also, how I know when the Lord's gonna return and
the world doesn't know he told us when in his
book he didn't give a date or time. He gave
us signs. Gave us signs what they said. Let me
go to this app because y'all are tapping in on
this app. Let's see what you're saying on today.

Speaker 23 (36:32):
Five words Twana Murphy need to go. Mmm, hey, Stormy,
this is Chicago. That eleven year old from Michigan how
to get a hero's parade?

Speaker 16 (36:46):
Wow, okay, Stormy, that kid might have saved some life
because you got it had gun, might gonna shoot the schooler.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
M It's several ways to look at it.

Speaker 15 (36:56):
Mm hmmm mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Sure is good evening, storm good Nuring.

Speaker 24 (37:00):
Congratulations to Central High School marching band and your band director.
I love the way you all handled this situation. Not
only did you show him what you was working with,
but y'all also won the game double whammy on him
and had the birthday coming man, professor coming man. Now Jackson,

(37:23):
hate on.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
That, Oh Jackson, jack You know what he loves. He
loves it when you call his name. It doesn't matter
if you agree with him or not. Jackson know what
he's doing. You know what he's doing. He love it
what y'all call his name. He likes the friction, he
loves No, he doesn't like it. He loves it. Now

(37:44):
a lot of y'all know about uh. The two people
that are in in in court over the uh DeAndre Brown,
am I saying his name correctly on UH. Judge Lee
Coffee had a few things to say. And when he

(38:05):
was ordering the Shelby County director re entry to you know,
a convicted felon to be held on a five hundred
thousand dollars bond for his alleged misuse of more than
six hundred and twenty five thousand dollars. This is what
he said. Do y'all agree with what he said? Listen
to this? Wait a minute, old, don't let me make
sure you can hear it so I can.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Here we go.

Speaker 11 (38:24):
And I don't know why, don't know how.

Speaker 25 (38:27):
I'm absolutely defuddled, absolutely befuddle. Why the Shelby County government
demandor why statey Tennessee governor and why the City of
Memphis will give money to a person to run a
nonprofit organization. But they've been convicted of stealing money from
a nonprofit organization in the past.

Speaker 3 (38:48):
That is iological, it makes that's hmmm. I like DeAndre,
don't get me wrong. I love him, but he's making
a The judge made a point. No sense at you say,
they don't make no sense at all why they would
give him money for a nonprofit. Now. Now, on the
other hand, I've heard a lot of people saying that

(39:08):
man was doing some amazing work in this this community,
him and his wife. MM.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
You don't throw the baby out with the bath water, But.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
When you commit a crime, sometimes they'll get you just
to make an example out of you. Shouldn't be committing
them in the first place. That's all I have to say.
We're gonna come back and talk to you some more.
Y'all stick around, Miss Cassandra, Golden Girl, Miss Freddy Brother
Bernard k y'all hold on, We'll.

Speaker 1 (39:38):
Be back in a moment.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Nine oh one five three five nine three four two
eight hundred five zero three nine three four two eight
three three five three five nine three four two.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Those are the numbers to.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Get at me, or you can email or tap that app,
tap that app, or email me Stormy t at mywd
I a dot com. It is Checkers Day. Uh huh
it is, it really is. And so mister George paid
he messaged me and said, hey Stormy. No, he said,
hey Stormy. Uh, since it's Checker's Day, I headed there

(40:07):
to go get me a number one big Buford combo.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Not that check Us.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
But okay, whatever works, whatever works if you wanted a
Checkers burger. Hey, let's see here. Somebody tapped in on
this iHeartRadio app. Let's see what you're saying.

Speaker 26 (40:25):
Hey, eleven year old, he had a good thing. But
reason he did not call them who it was because
I believe with this friend m something that was up
with that. That reason, No Baba knw that he had
a gun on.

Speaker 12 (40:41):
Them that day.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
Wow. We don't know, we don't, We really don't. But
that's interesting what he said.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Missus. George says, good afternoon, Stormy Tea. I have news
from Infians. The real criminals are smarter than you think.
They are going to lo the entire time. The extensive
forces are here, and the folk that are going to
get caught up in the bull are the law abiding
citizens who say it's their right to do and go

(41:15):
anywhere they want to, and no one can tell them.
In a difference, a large percentage of these forces coming
to Memphis already have a preconceived image of this black
city and are going to without discretion handle up on
black and brown people. If you don't think there are

(41:35):
ton a ton of racist red necks behind the badge,
you are sadly mistaken. That is their objective and my belief. Hmm,
Miss Lucille k tron. Hey, miss Lucy, she says, today's
city council meeting. Hey, my beautiful Stormy, Hey, my beautiful
Miss Lucille. The council chambers is full. Uh there are

(41:58):
let me see a number thirty four on the agenda. Okay,
they're on number thirty four, Item thirty four, Resolution to
urge Governor Bill Lee to reject President Donald Trump's current
proposal to send the National Guard troops or the Tennessee
State Guard to Memphis. I tell you, the citizens are
speaking all races. Stormy. Look at the picture an item

(42:22):
thirty four. She send me a picture from Donda.

Speaker 21 (42:25):
Okay, all right, okay, people showed up, black, brown, white, yellow,
They all there.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Okay, all right, people are there. People went down to
share their voices and to you and then yeah, okay, well,
miss Lucille, you keep me up to date on that one.
Since you're down there our eyes and ears on the streets,
ladies and gentlemen. Miss Lucille k tron, let's see Miss
Helen says, happy birthday, Happy birthday to common man.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
He's the best.

Speaker 3 (42:57):
Caller by far, perfect name, he calls himself. I always
look forward to hearing his comments. So intelligent. All right,
let's go to the phones and see what you guys
are saying. Let me see who's been holding on the longest.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
W D I A hello, Hey, how you doing this evening?
I'm good, Miss Cassandra.

Speaker 18 (43:17):
How are you all right?

Speaker 19 (43:19):
Got a good show?

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Thank you?

Speaker 11 (43:23):
I was listening storm I mean yesterday tail come man,
I'll never forget his birthday.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
It's on the me and my husband anniversary.

Speaker 11 (43:35):
It would have made use fifty one years this year.
Oh wow, so happy, happy, happy birthday coming man A
love your Stormy.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
You have a blessed day, Yes, ma'am, love you, Thank
you you too. Okay, okay, got back bye bye.

Speaker 6 (43:55):
W D I A hello, Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Story?

Speaker 1 (43:58):
Hey there, brother Bernard?

Speaker 3 (44:00):
How you doing?

Speaker 6 (44:01):
You know I'm doing Wellstone, Happy birthday, Happy birthday to.

Speaker 12 (44:06):
Come and man.

Speaker 6 (44:07):
And as far as the eleven year old, I applaud
him for being able to disarm and you know the
person then you know, feel stript the weapon as we say.
But there must be more to the story because he
failed to report the person who brought.

Speaker 3 (44:28):
The weapon to the school.

Speaker 7 (44:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:30):
I think that was the biggest thing about a brother man,
I because I listened to the whole story and well
the story that the news, you know, they put on
the news. Now, maybe there is more and I just
need to go and do a little bit more research
on it. But that is the gist of what happened.

Speaker 6 (44:45):
Yeah, and if he failed the report who brought the weapon,
then he might be under the impression that it is
not right to tell on whoever committed.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
The That's what the mother said. That's what the mother said.

Speaker 15 (45:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (45:02):
So whatever policy and procedure that the school district has
in place, you know, they abided by with the expulsion,
So you know, I can support that. But what I
cannot support is that he failed to report it completely.
He reported it partly but not completely. Sorry, I'm tuned in.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
Thank you for taking my car Oh, thank you, brother Bernard,
thank you so much for making that call. Appreciate you
so very much. All right, Clyde trying to get back
up in here.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
W D I A hello?

Speaker 3 (45:31):
What's going on?

Speaker 15 (45:32):
Storm? Hey?

Speaker 1 (45:33):
Nothing much? Cloud? You sound like yourself now?

Speaker 15 (45:36):
Yeah, I think the little boy was a hero.

Speaker 7 (45:40):
But you know, sometimes you trying to do the right
thing and you get caught up. But what they're doing
to the school board and meeting behind the school superintend
the back and.

Speaker 5 (45:55):
Sheet a phone call? Was she getting the message? Then
they planning on getting rid of you?

Speaker 7 (45:59):
Well, the same thing happened to them.

Speaker 21 (46:02):
Mmm.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
So you think that, uh, if you go vote for
the school board members this time, will you be revote?
Will you vote for the person that you voted for before?

Speaker 22 (46:11):
No?

Speaker 7 (46:12):
Because I do.

Speaker 5 (46:13):
I'm seeing the real side of him down so now
I got a different outlook, So you will not get
my support like you got the last time.

Speaker 1 (46:21):
Who is your board member in your district?

Speaker 4 (46:24):
Client?

Speaker 5 (46:26):
I don't even know thom because because I just I
just picked the name when iut uh doing the board thing.

Speaker 7 (46:33):
But I showed that.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
You're gonna know the next time when you go vote.

Speaker 5 (46:38):
I wanna know next time Joe will cause anybody. Oh,
I ain't gonna get on them.

Speaker 11 (46:43):
I don't care.

Speaker 7 (46:44):
I don't care. So it could be you gonna vote.

Speaker 3 (46:46):
I don't care.

Speaker 7 (46:47):
Anybody gonna vote.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Well you need yeah, okay, thank you for your honesty
because you didn't have to take to say that not
and then somebody out there laughing like I was. But
you don't done it before too. You've been You went
to the post and voted, and you know who you
was voting for.

Speaker 5 (47:03):
You just voted, voted just because it didn't really matter
to me. I ain't got cheering the school no more.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
Oh okay.

Speaker 5 (47:13):
And you know when it comes down to, uh, the
stuff you're talking about, when the Lord coming back and stuff,
you know, you know, I don't know why people always
come to the hot and he coming back once he
got he ain't coming on west on sixty three and
I heard this third so long.

Speaker 11 (47:37):
Gone and they're still saying.

Speaker 15 (47:39):
Som in he would like a d be dead.

Speaker 7 (47:42):
And once he got out there cross he kept going by.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
Light to strike you and my come through here. Oh
my goodness. Let me go back to the phones.

Speaker 11 (47:55):
W D I A hello, Hey, get afternoon store.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
You know the Golden girl, I'm good.

Speaker 19 (48:01):
How are you all right? Thank you, thank you. But yeah,
I am so proud of the people who went down
and spoke to the county Commissioner on the hand of
the school board. I'm so proud they did not let up.
They stayed on them. I didn't know they had that

(48:23):
many meetings and kept.

Speaker 18 (48:24):
Putting it off.

Speaker 11 (48:26):
So a couple of them got up and said.

Speaker 19 (48:28):
That, hey, we tried to coming down here, y'all going
back and forth, y'all gonna stop playing with us.

Speaker 4 (48:33):
You know.

Speaker 19 (48:34):
They just laid it out.

Speaker 4 (48:35):
They were straightforward.

Speaker 19 (48:37):
So I'm proud of them for standing up strong and
seemed like they didn't want to make a decision that
night last night, but they did. I'm disappointed in Charlie
Cashwell and Commission of Books. I'm disappointed in now.

Speaker 11 (48:54):
I know for sure that they have a friend on
the school.

Speaker 19 (48:56):
Board and someone called them out on it. And so
I don't care who your friends are, and that's what's
going on. Too many friends, and that's why we can't
get anything done, because no matter what your friend do,
you're not gonna hold them accountable.

Speaker 18 (49:08):
But only day we.

Speaker 19 (49:09):
Got a problem. We got what we wanted for the vote.

Speaker 11 (49:14):
Now, who are the candidates?

Speaker 19 (49:17):
They got the latest close it out.

Speaker 11 (49:19):
She said, we got seven months.

Speaker 19 (49:21):
To get candidates. That's a very short time for some
warning to start running to feel those position. So we
made very well find out that we're in the same
position that we started out. Well, if we don't have
any can't got to take some money. They run right
with advertising and stuff. Yeah, so I'm concerned about that.

(49:44):
So we're gonna watch that in seven months and see
who the candidates would be. And my heart goes out
to DeAndre and his wife, Andre Brown and his wife.
I really think they're making up a sample out of them.
I really hate that because a lot of people hit

(50:04):
their hand in the pot. And I don't know if
I can't think of anybody that they held in jail
that long without a bond.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
I was initially it was like a million or one
point something.

Speaker 3 (50:18):
He had a bond. It was just real high.

Speaker 19 (50:21):
Well that's what I mean.

Speaker 3 (50:22):
How would you know one can make that?

Speaker 15 (50:25):
And they won't.

Speaker 19 (50:26):
They tried to lord, then another just came back and uh.

Speaker 9 (50:30):
Put it back.

Speaker 19 (50:30):
You know, kind of like an insult when you go
and have one judge and undo a bun. But my
heart go out to them because in spite of what
they did, I know they knew better.

Speaker 18 (50:40):
Uh, they did.

Speaker 19 (50:41):
Honorable work in the community. They hit the Black Patrol
in the neighborhood, so they were doing good work. And
I know you've probably seen the pictures on TV where
he got lots of wars and accolades and stuff like that. Yeah,
and he was very active with Ricky Floyd and a
group of them. So yeah, I really hate they did.

(51:04):
But I guess if you're gonna hold their feet to
the fire, please hold everybody's feet to the fire.

Speaker 15 (51:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 19 (51:12):
Yeah, And let me give a special shout out to
my sister sol to bring her birthday Thursday. Want to say,
happy birthday, Linda.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
You all right, all right, thank you. I appreciate you.

Speaker 22 (51:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Let's see. Let me go back to the emails here.
Let's see Young August says, hey, Auntie, that man Joshua
and five others are doing a live watch party right now,
still expecting the rapture to happen soon. They're saying there
is still time for the prophecy to be fulfilled. At

(51:47):
this point, with all that's happened in the world, I
am not even surprised anyway, the band playing those kazoos
is my kind of pity. Last, but not least, happy birthday,
common man. Mm hmm, that's what she said. Come on here, said,
they have their clare for, they have their glare for.

(52:17):
No one showed up. Okay, you can't.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
You can't ban the band. I think the members won't
show up.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Okay, because they came on in now okay, Ah, I said,
that's her kind of pity. Mm mmmm mmmmm. All right,
let's see, etc. Love says Gun Safety. The eleven year
old student may have saved lives and probably was suspended
for not telling who had the gun. The student is

(52:45):
afraid to tell who brought that gun to school. The
student was who brought that gun. Parents probably needs to
notify the school and turn their child in for bringing
the gun to school. Memphis City and Shelby County schools
are teaching gan s fafety classes to students of all ages.
Hope the school system doesn't have any problems such as

(53:06):
the eleven year old students situation. M Marcus says, Clyde
cutting up sideways, always.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
Always cutting up.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
All right, let's go back to the phones, because y'all
are hanging on let me see who's been holding on
the longest here WD, I a hello.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
Good afternoons, Stormy.

Speaker 17 (53:27):
How you doing?

Speaker 1 (53:27):
I'm good, miss Freddy.

Speaker 19 (53:29):
How are you doing good?

Speaker 2 (53:31):
Doing good?

Speaker 27 (53:32):
I was calling to tell one of our cow buddies
coming man, happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy birthday.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
A God bless him to have many many more.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
Thank you, miss Freddie.

Speaker 27 (53:47):
And also I want to say happy been dated birthday
to my classmate Michael Chinker, and happy be dated birthday to.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
Drey Money gotpy birthday.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Okay, you know what, Thank you, miss Freddie.

Speaker 3 (54:02):
Appreciate you calling. Yeah, Andre Monday's birthday was this past Sunday?
Sure was?

Speaker 1 (54:06):
Yeah, w D.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
I a hello.

Speaker 11 (54:09):
First and foremost all praises to the help of the
bother them and Yash will walk amongst us. So you
know creous on that I called about the young man
this kseya, how you doing good? Okay to eleven year old?
First and well, he's probably a number of some patial honor.

(54:29):
He's young, but a lot of times some ChIL of
them exposed and other children I never exposed. So if
he's a number of any type of brotherhood, he's not
in a position to tell anything.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
On his brother, say on this, Sid.

Speaker 4 (54:42):
Had to be his friend.

Speaker 11 (54:43):
He couldn't be some type of fellowship that they got
going where he's not in a position to tell. So
the cold of salums is contradictally because amongst the police.

Speaker 3 (54:52):
They don't want to tell on each other either.

Speaker 11 (54:54):
So I think in a quarter roll, you know with
his age is this it's an environmental school off of it.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
But in order him to disarm, they they gone.

Speaker 11 (55:03):
He saved some lives if now he saved a terrible experience,
so he should get credit for that. But see they
got all these laws. Now a child from elementary school
and stared in mistermeanors. After so many misdemeanors depend on
what type it is, it becomes to telling it right now.
So you got children whoever day going to school building
up their ruerds as we speak, by were looking down

(55:25):
on other people thinking that they've been to somewhere that
we'll never go because you.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Don't know what can you get there.

Speaker 11 (55:30):
But they got a lot of laws, and the law
is in his law. He's been taught to keep his
nap shut. I all think he's afraid if he knew
how to just now of disarm that God.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
He knew how to put it back together too.

Speaker 11 (55:42):
So now he's not afraid. It's just that he's just
been talked. Whatever he's doing.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
His mother said, he's afraid. I think she said he
was afraid to talk.

Speaker 11 (55:53):
How do you wanna teach a child how to use
a god and then teach him how to help field
the god at the same time.

Speaker 1 (55:58):
No, he was afraid to talk, is what she was saying.

Speaker 11 (56:01):
Afraid to talk, But he wasn't afraiddice now and the gone,
No he did that.

Speaker 18 (56:07):
So but maybe he learned.

Speaker 9 (56:08):
But you know what, he.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
Is only eleven years old, and you.

Speaker 11 (56:12):
Know he could learn that on the game because you
know what, I was playing the game with Mike Brandon.

Speaker 3 (56:15):
No, he's he was here.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
He took hunting classes. That's what his mama said.

Speaker 18 (56:20):
That's why I said earlier.

Speaker 11 (56:21):
A lot of things that they learned.

Speaker 9 (56:23):
Some other children don't.

Speaker 4 (56:24):
Learn right some people.

Speaker 18 (56:26):
That's what I was saying.

Speaker 11 (56:26):
Initial not some things and not I trying to. You
have to be careful what you say. If I say
white children the carcades and children expose by the black
children are stand being told to sitting in the back room.
Didn't just saying the wrong thing because all black children
not in their category. But he has been taught enough
to know about they gone.

Speaker 4 (56:43):
He has been taught to be.

Speaker 11 (56:44):
Quiet that they're gone. Took irrespect of what he's mother said,
and that's what I believe.

Speaker 1 (56:49):
That's just a gotcha.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
Yeah, thank you, appreciate your calling in. Yeah, she's talking
to us today. Let me see here, let's go back
to the phones.

Speaker 18 (57:02):
W D I A hello, Hey, Sean may T.

Speaker 11 (57:04):
How you doing?

Speaker 1 (57:05):
Hey, I'm good and how are you?

Speaker 2 (57:07):
I'm sorry. I had to weigh in this re entry
building for the pie five six seven years. Here in
this community, we have a block club. We've been going
up there trying to find out who they were helping,
what type of feelings that they committed, you know, and

(57:27):
they would never come to our meetings. They used to
be a clinic, and we want that clinic to stay here.

Speaker 28 (57:33):
In this area.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
The people in this area have always been upset ever
since it's been built. They have housing up there for
the men and the women. They got cars up there.
We're saying, town said, how you get a car and
you just got out of jail.

Speaker 3 (57:48):
Wait a minute, are you talking about the situation or
Are you talking about the DeAndre Brown situation something totally different?

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Huh, yes, ma'am, I'm talking about that situation. Okay, that
re entry building. We were never told that they were building.
It never told And we kept going up there trying
to get them to come to our block club meeting
so we could find out what type of people they
were helping. They would never come. Then they build a
building right here on Bulletin and Mississippi.

Speaker 18 (58:20):
You can't miss it.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
It's blue and the warmth of the women, it's base.
We wanted to know what type of criminals they were
housing and so forth. I understand the fact you all
want to help him out and souf, but I'm like
that judge who gives people moneies that's already been to
jail and so forth. Yeah, it's a whole lot of

(58:42):
people tied up in because when I first went up there,
how Collins was working there and so forth, couldn't get
them to come and tell us who they were helping
and what kind of criminals that they were, you know,
you know, for offenses that they did. It's not fair
to us. And it's still there, you know, and crime

(59:05):
has increased. The sauce I'm concerned in the South Memphis area.
So no, we don't want them up there because they
did not include us in any of the building and
so forth. We wanted the South Memphis clinic.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
To still be there.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
Everybody could walk to the clinic, you know in this area.
Thank you for letting me talk now.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
I appreciate you calling in.

Speaker 3 (59:29):
Thank you so much. Yeah mm hmmmm. Let me go
to this app. You guys have tapped the app. We're
gonna take a break and come back and get your calls.
I see Meredith's bootsy common man on hold the birthday boy, y'all.
Hold on, I'm gonna get to you. But let's go
to the app and hear what you're saying.

Speaker 29 (59:45):
Storm Clyde and all the other citizens like him who
don't know who their current school board member is, who
just randomly selected a name and voted in ignorance, should
be blaming themselves for the situation that we're in. There's
no reason to get some franchise voters. And he wrote,
our democracy if the voters would educate themselves and know

(01:00:10):
who and what they're voting for.

Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
Wow, Stormy T.

Speaker 28 (01:00:17):
Hello, Stormy.

Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
I think the eleven year old should have Wait a minute,
what happened?

Speaker 28 (01:00:23):
Hello, Stormy. I think the eleven year old should have
been suspended. Maybe he should have been arrested. He won't
tell whether the gun came from claiming somebody else brought
the gun. It's probably his gun. Possessing is nine tenths
of the law. The school boy did exactly right. He
was possessing the gun. He should have got suspended.

Speaker 12 (01:00:45):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
Oh wow, All right, we're gonna come back and talk
about this some more. So y'all stick around. Y'all got
some things to say today. Nine o one five ninety
three four two eight hundred five zero three ninety three
four two eight three three five three five ninety three
four two. This is the last half. I gonna get
to your classic TV throwback. But you still have time
to call in, uh Meredith, common Man, Bootsy, y'all hold on,

(01:01:06):
we'll be back.

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
It's it's gonna be nice.

Speaker 7 (01:01:08):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
I had on a short sleeve top.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Actually it's my iHeartMedia top and I had, you know,
short sleeves, put a little tank up under there and
some and some jeans, and I thought, okay, this is
gonna be good because I had no idea we'd be outside. Baby,
it's heart out there. Y'all be careful, and it made
me think about other people that have to work outside,
you know. Bless your hearts, y'all. Check on your people,

(01:01:31):
make sure that they have ladies. Make sure your man
has what he needs before he leaves the house. Okay,
in more ways than one. Okay, anyway, Yeah, it's yeah,
it's rather rather rather warm out the other day, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
Okay, let me look at some of your emails here.

Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
Let's see. Uh, let's see. Mister Payne says, rehab facility, renee.
What does it matter who they are helping? Those people
will need help. You ought to be happy that they
have a place for people who are released from prison,
because most of the criminals are from the that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
I'm not doing it. I'm not reading it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Y'all want me too, let me finish it, he says,
most of the criminals are from that area.

Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Anyway, ought to be shaming you, Miss Mary says.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
Sometimes we get behind anything and anybody when it comes
to politics and religion, and we forget to think for ourselves.
I hadn't heard about the rapture was supposed to be
happening today either, but.

Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
I had my granddaughter to look it up for me.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
My mouth dropped to see thousands of people following behind
this man. I'm not perfect, but some of the things
that people are doing is unbelievable and disheartening. Clyde is
definitely my favorite and Trump supporter. Wait a minute, he
a favorite drop supporter. He actually has a great sense
of humor. He's just a tad bit crazy, but I

(01:02:57):
like him though those others never mind. Happy birthday, common man,
is what she says. Huh all right. Ms Couchy says, Hey, Stormy,
I actually feel sorry for them. His wife looks so
sad talking about the Browns and afraid. It's great that
they are helping others while helping themselves as well. You
almost learn we can't get away with certain crimes like others. Actually,

(01:03:21):
I hope they get a lowered bond. His bond was lowered.
I think it's Lord to five hundred thousand. I think
is what I saw.

Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
That it was Lord too.

Speaker 7 (01:03:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
Uh, anyway, she says, actually, I hope they get a
lower bond.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
That South Memphis area where the re Entry building is located,
it's not hindering anything. The whole area need to make
over let them cook, mis cause what you know about
letting them cook? What you know about that? All right,
let's go back to the phones and see what you
guys are talking about today. Wdi a Cello.

Speaker 11 (01:03:53):
Hello, Hello, Way, how are you doing.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
I'm blessed? Are you doing? Birthday boy?

Speaker 12 (01:04:00):
Yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am, Yes, ma'am. I'm doing well. I
feel good. I'm feel very happy and proud.

Speaker 15 (01:04:06):
Yeah. Yeah, you know, it's been It's been a great
birthday season this year for me.

Speaker 12 (01:04:11):
I've had a lot of fun and and just a
lot of love. I just I just feel it. You know,
my family and my friends and even in w w
d A family.

Speaker 3 (01:04:20):
You are loved.

Speaker 1 (01:04:20):
Coming man, You're definitely loved.

Speaker 9 (01:04:23):
You know.

Speaker 11 (01:04:23):
Uh smy, I really feel it, and I mean that,
you know, I mean that, you know.

Speaker 15 (01:04:28):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (01:04:29):
I gotta let my spirit be like it should be,
so regardless of how somebody else spirit is, I'm gonna
try to keep mind in order.

Speaker 28 (01:04:37):
Yeah you know.

Speaker 12 (01:04:38):
Yeah. Uh so, let me tell you this to miss
Nurse Beverley real quick before I start. Obviously, Nurse Beverley,
you and I saw two different stories on the news,
so it's no big deal. We're not gonna feed it
into any of that negativity.

Speaker 11 (01:04:53):
Uh.

Speaker 12 (01:04:54):
So Stormy, I want to say thank you to everybody
that that the aave me a shout out from my family,
to my kids, to all the callers, and if I can,
I want to call the names if I can, real quick, okay, Okay,
So I started from what I heard this morning. First
of all, thank you to stand Bell that set it
out for me early this morning with their parliament and uh,

(01:05:16):
you know, he just crawked it up for me. Then
so we had miss Joel, lady d Uh Angie Angie Jones.
Uh the lady I can't I can't remember her name.
Uh you know what I'm talking about. She called you
or something she knows she called this morning early this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Uh Okay.

Speaker 12 (01:05:40):
Then you know we had Clyde Mss Nurse Beverly ms An.
Your comment couldn't have been in the betterments Anne this
an uh passing Callermad Park Uh, Miss Fred and Miss Mary.
Miss Lindon didn't call, but I know Miss Lindon got
loved for me too, so miss the unl Uh of

(01:06:01):
course August from August from you know, back down south
young August. Uh and if it's somebody I missed. I
really mean to get you. So if I didn't call
you night, Oh my brother, Oh, my brother David, My
brother David, and uh uh what's the name from the

(01:06:23):
front of the health department. He just called you a
little while ago.

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
Pretty well spoken guyd brother.

Speaker 12 (01:06:32):
But id yeah, brother, but nod uh and anybody else.
If I forgot you, please forgive me because I'm trying
not take so much time. But thank you all. It's
been a really fun day, loving.

Speaker 11 (01:06:43):
Day, and uh, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
Happy birthday man.

Speaker 17 (01:06:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (01:06:48):
Anybody that didn't say happy birthday, thank you, you know, uh,
thank you all.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
You know, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Happy birthday coming man, thank you, thank you birth I
mean thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:07:01):
I do the same thing. I do the same thing
people say, have a birthday. Happy birthday to YouTube. Happy
birthday coming many.

Speaker 11 (01:07:10):
That's what it was, Okay, got it, God, all right, appreciate.

Speaker 3 (01:07:15):
You, all right, no problem. Yeah, Happy birthday to common man.
His birthday is today. Let's go to the app. Somebody
tap this app and let me see what they're talking about.
Real quick.

Speaker 30 (01:07:25):
Good afternoon, Stormy Tea. Yeah, so you support the man
stealing from the government. Right, Nope, but you don't support
the lady selling her foodstamp to cook food and make money.

Speaker 7 (01:07:41):
Make it make sense, Stormy.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Wait she didn't. Wait Wait no, wait a minute. I
don't support him stealing from the government. And she wasn't
selling her food stamps. She was buying food with her
food stamps, and she had a little side hustle where
she was making food. Yeah, I don't. I don't support
with if it is true, because you are innocent until

(01:08:06):
proven guilty, even though in America it's really you guilty
till proven innocent, but according to the law, you're innocent
until proven guilty. I do not support anybody stealing, y'all
know we don't say it before on this show. If
you'll lie, you'll cheat. If you'll treat, you'll steal. If
you'll steal, you'll do some other things. No, I don't

(01:08:26):
support either one of them either stealing. I said that
I didn't think the punishment for the woman who was
making the food with her food stemps was justified ten
years in prison. Come on now, all right, Bruce says,
come on, come a man. That's enough man, half birthday man,

(01:08:49):
But quit holding the line. Wait a minute, I thought
you was finna say something real nice w D I A.

Speaker 18 (01:08:56):
Hello mass Stormy.

Speaker 9 (01:08:59):
He was right that come on, comming man, even have called.

Speaker 18 (01:09:02):
Everybody's freaking name.

Speaker 29 (01:09:03):
Oh don't God, I got.

Speaker 18 (01:09:07):
Okay, sir, I'm late, I'm late. I really remember saying
this morning, Happy birthday, comming man, I really hope you
had a good day today. My God, for listening to them.
I'm about the Browns. Yeah, I feel sorry for the browns.
I feel sorry for George Flaw. I mean, I wrecked Flower.
But the bottom line is they were crooks. This is
my issue right here. We do black folks understand that

(01:09:28):
we didn't even have these positions where you was able
to steal this kind of money, like dealing with things
like this. So when we finally make it to the
point that we have these jobs, you know they gonna
be watching you, and you know they're not gonna let
you get away with doing the same thing I'm sorry
as white people has been doing for freaking years. It's
called white collar crimes. You get that, white collar? I
mean the names will be things. Is there for a reason, okay,

(01:09:51):
because it's not meant for black people to get involved
in me in these kind of things, even though we
have the president of the United States stealing money from
none properate car and he became a dad gone president.
Then they say that again white collar crimes. Now for
this thirteen year old Stormy the school I was with
you in French for a moment, but the school board
did exactly right. He needs to be suspended for the year.

(01:10:13):
Matter of fact, he needs to be a wretch.

Speaker 9 (01:10:14):
I grew auld call him, how do we know he
wasn't a part of this.

Speaker 18 (01:10:18):
School, and then realized later that I said, my mind,
let me break the gun.

Speaker 14 (01:10:22):
I mean, he could been a part of it.

Speaker 18 (01:10:23):
He's playing, could have been there to kill somebody. He
could have been working with someone else to shoot up
the school. Again, we don't know the fact that he
won't tell y'all get this out. He don't want to snitch.

Speaker 15 (01:10:34):
B s.

Speaker 18 (01:10:34):
If you don't snitch and tell where that gun came from,
then father, after he can started with the school board,
is your gun? Maybe you planned on doing some things
and then change the man at the last minute.

Speaker 9 (01:10:44):
So yeah, they did right by that.

Speaker 18 (01:10:45):
The last thing is the school board. You know, I
kind of hated for the school board because it kind
of destroys democracy. When people vote you in, nothing should
be it but change that. At the same time, the
school board had to realize that the people voted you in,
and the people told you. We didn't want y'all to
disrupt the school system and fire doctor Fagan.

Speaker 13 (01:11:05):
You should have listened to the people.

Speaker 18 (01:11:07):
Now instead, the people are spoken and we do want
them out. So it's kind of catch twenty two. If
we allow the government to come in and do this,
what's next. So it is an elected position. So therefore
I kind of say, no, we tread those some thread,
some real bands of thread here, so we kind of
even lead us along. At the same time, school boy,

(01:11:27):
if y'all do your past this, listen to what the
people say. Well, when the people votet y'all in, say ho,
hold up and take a fake and look at something.
Let's not do this right now. Maybe y'all, maybe that
should have listened, But that's not coming in front day starman.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
Thank you for letting me in, all right, thank you,
marriage appreciate you calling.

Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
Yeah, that's interesting because the caller that tapped the app
he said, possession is nine tenths of the law, and
the kid did have the gun and then the fact
that he won't tell.

Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
Them who actually had it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:57):
That's why I love, you know, having those kinds of conversations,
because y'all will open the door and show us something
that we we didn't think about. You know what I'm saying.
You know, we might be on this side till healthy
the healthy debate. Yeah, you hear other people's opinion is
and you like, well, you know what, that's right? Or

(01:12:18):
you know I was thinking this until she said that
or he said that. Hmmmm, w d I A hello, Hey,
how you doing?

Speaker 11 (01:12:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (01:12:30):
Uh, I don't think it was thirteen.

Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
Uh yeah, the child was eleven years of age. Yeah, right, right,
so uh.

Speaker 9 (01:12:41):
It sort of mortified someone, Uh that wanted to kill us.
How to god, you didn't follow all the creature to
take the guard you could actually the whooper could have
been a shot or kill and that was wrong. But
he's sure, I guess say mortified administrators of the child

(01:13:04):
and had the gun where they could have, you know,
need it on a better circumstances and he would he
wouldn't be in the situation that he's in, and they
would have suspended the right child about the gun to
school because or not to rem uh the police house.
Uh and the way he was doing he's doing a
scenario because thing it was, it was a police a

(01:13:26):
banking all sudden just got robbed. Uh. Someone came to
talk to a Robbie the screwitycar, pulled his gun out
for the robbers. They ran off the shout at him.
They fired it because what it was. The bank have
a policy to comply and give them the money. They
they don't want to uh cause the order to get
shot there inside of the bank to a hold up.

(01:13:47):
So they give him the money. So they tried the
security guard and the next day uh took up a
collection of farms for him and listed someone gave a
job at the warehouse or something because they said less money.
The school bore God. I think the lady are the superintendent,
was just trying to do her job. We needed teachers.
Uh we were short about two or three hundred teachers,

(01:14:09):
and she was going outside to stay trying to recruited
good teachers to Georgia, ALABAMAO stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
So you you think that that's that's why, then you
think that's why the school board is messing. Is where
they go ahead?

Speaker 9 (01:14:23):
Uh the ones that uh, these people that these big altas.
She told them, uh you heard to come out of
the office, the bills could come back in the classroom
and keep school. And uh they didn't want to do that.
And uh, I think she made a lot of enemies
buying up. And then that's one they decided up to
get rid of them questions.

Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
All right, welcome, thank you so much for calling in.

says it failed. Item number thirty four. The resolution failed.
Just now four were four four against? And yeah, this
is for the to send a letter to Governor Lee

(01:24:17):
for a resolution not to bring the National Guard. It failed,
so that's not going to happen. Just FYI. Yeah, and

Breaking a gun down?

Speaker 1 (01:24:29):
What kind of gun was it?

Speaker 3 (01:24:31):
Even if he is familiar with guns, how was he
familiar with the one he dismantled? How long was the
gun in his possession? Why didn't he notify an adult?
Was he aware to notify the adult? There are so
many questions. My grandson was expelled for one hundred and
eighty days for having marijuana in his backpack, with no
awareness that it was in there.

Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
He was only ten.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
