Speaker 1 (00:00):
That today is We got a couple national days on
today that maybe some of you don't know about that
I'm going to.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Share with you.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Okay, today is World Vegetarian Day. Shout out to all
the vegetarians out there. And you know what, there are
more vegetarians in the world than you know. I used
to be a vegetarian, you know, and sometimes I still
eat you.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Know like that.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Don't always have a meat, you know, I might substitute
it with some beans or let me see, generally it's beans.
Or I might have a protein shake, you know, those
kinds of things. I did a lot of that when
I was a vegetarian. I'm gonna tell you Vegetarianism was
really good for me and to me. But I learned
(00:47):
something about the way I eat now that I think
is good for me too. I hope it's good for
the me today that I hope it's good for me.
I try to eat. If I'm eating meats, I try
to eat lean meats, turkey, things like that.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
If I do I eat fish, I still eat a
lot of fish.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
So baby, Basically, I was a vegetarian close to a vegan,
vegan uh vegetarian for years about twenty or so years,
maybe more than that, and then it became a pescatarian
where you eat fish.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
And then I just went.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
Back, not all the way though. I don't do a
lot of beef, and I don't do no pork. You
can keep that pork, Okay, no, But I ain't better
than no better because I don't, you know, eat pork.
I mean, if you like pork, that's you. I just
don't do it. I don't do it, but I'll tell
(01:44):
you what what works for me. And I try to
try to tell people that I know this. When you eat.
If you could eat like a meat and a vegetable,
if you could do that every meal, some of y'all
be doubling up too. Some of y'all be doing eggs, sausage, bacon,
(02:10):
y'all be doing at all?
Speaker 2 (02:12):
If you're gonna do the eggs, what's.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
The vegetables in them?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
In the morning, you know, make yourself, you know, a
mixture of it. So eggs with this is what I do.
I do eggs with spinach and carrots. Mix that up
and then I'll have a half of an avocado.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Because see the.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Meat family is eggs, beans and then whatever kind of
meat that to me, that's what the meat family is.
So if I'm having vegetables, I generally will have one
of those. I might not eat no eat no meat,
you know, like everybody else. Do you know what I'm
I try not to double up on them, you know,
(02:52):
with sausage and eggs. And when I do eat sausage,
I do the chicken one chicken sausage.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
It's really good. I'll be turning people on to it.
It's really good. But anyway, that's what I do. So
shout out to all the vegetarians out there. It's also
International Music Day and for all of you that love
to make those homemade cookies, today is Homemade Cookies Day. Yeah,
(03:20):
all right, so let's get into it because I'm gonna
tell you there's a.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Lot to get it. Let me give you know. I
always tell you news.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
There's a lot of good news around here in the
world and all that good stuff. There's a young man,
his name is Jarvis Johnson. He's being celebrated as a
local hero in his area. But he's in Arizona. Jarvis
just had a baby and there was a flood that
happened in the area that he was in.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Do you know what he did? You know what Jarvis did.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Jarvis saved some people's probably saved some folks.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Lives, young black man.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Not thinking about himself, you know, and what he had
going on in life. He saw people stranded and he
saw people that needed help. He is out that being
a hero.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
So shout out to Jarvis Johnson. I just wanted to
throw that out there. You know, there's some good things
that are happening in this world. It really is for
those of you don't that don't know. And maybe I
wonder what you think about this the Memphis school Board,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
And if you know somebody that is a.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Hero and you got a heroic story, share it with
me today. Perhaps you were stranded on the side of
the road and somebody came and brought you gas. Yeah,
Reginald did that for me. I ran out of gas
one day and Reginald came and brought me some gas.
So perhaps somebody did that for you and their hero
(04:50):
in your eyes and chair with you chat with me.
But did you hear the first the biggest news?
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Well?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Should I get it?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I get to the biggest news because everybody have been
waiting at a watching wishing. Some people have been wishing,
some people have been hoping, some people have been a
praying about this news. I'm going to share with you
in a moment, But I don't know if y'all saw
at Memphis Shelby County school Board they got a new leader. Yep,
Natalie McKinney. She's been tapped as the new school board
(05:20):
chair following a tense vote that continues the fallout from
the ouster of Superintendent Marie Fagan's earlier this year. McKinney
secured six votes, all from members who backed fire in
Fagans Amber Hewett Garcia, who opposed the ouster, received three votes.
(05:42):
Former chair Joyce Doris Coleman will serve as vice chair. Okay,
so congratulations Natalie McKinney.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Mm hm.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
She now faces what they're saying a turbulent year.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
State lawmakers are still pushing for the state taker over
of the district. A six million dollar audit is underway,
more school closure decisions are on the line, and a
potential new superintendent search could begin this summer.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Another one. How many of y'all sick of that?
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
My goodness, it's potential potential. You know, good and well,
Rod Richmond won't that job? He's acting superintendent now or interim?
Will they give it to him? The saga continues, and
it does, it really does.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
So last night I was watching a police chase. I
was looking at this high speed police chase and it
didn't look high speed to me, but I guess they maybe.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
They were speeding.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
And I saw a kind of cars after this one
cost So these folks ain't playing no modey.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
It was a lot of.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Tennessee Highway Patrol, about fift thousand of them. This ain't
the season. It really isn't. If you were out there
doing the devil's work. It's God's work, and then there's
the devil's work.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Hey uh.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Anyway, I saw the story of the two men that
were arrested on felony drug and weapons charges. You know
what got me when I read this story about those
two young men. I saw their pictures, their mugshots. They
look kind of happy if you asked me. But they
were pulled over by Homeland Security agents. Let me see
(07:36):
around Clavern driving and Whitehaven, and so they are already
I don't know if they're out of jail, but their
bond is only twenty thousand dollars. See, I thought if
you got arrested by the Feds or you know, somebody
other than you know who's out there, you wouldn't get
a bond. Both of the suspects they're being held on
(07:57):
a twenty thousand dollars bond.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Let me see what they have had.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
They had some guns, drugs and guns, but they said
a nineteen.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Year old and a twenty four year old.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
They were booked into Shelby County Jail on charges of
unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a deadly weapon,
and possession of a control substance to manufacture, deliver, or sell.
And the comments on social media are just going, They're
going wild.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
People are like what in the world. And I did
see too.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
I don't know if you guys saw it, but I
saw where the Federal It looks like somebody from the
White House is here. Is as Hrump? Probably not, but yeah,
I saw the I don't know if you call it
the motor Yeah, motor cat escort at ease White House
officials that are in Memphis, And I wonder who they're
(08:54):
here for. Well, it's wrong question. We already know anyway,
cameras spotted FBI agents at an excen at the intersection
of Macon and Sycamore View Road too. So if you've
seen that, it's a lot going on. It's a lot.
(09:15):
So I did see just a few moments ago where
the National Guard they're here, made their arrival today, as
a matter of fact, not long ago. Okay, White House
officials are here, Attorney General Pam Bundy, Secretary of War
(09:37):
Pete hedgesp and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
They're in Memphis. Well, welcome to Memphis.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
And again I did see where the National Guard they've
made their way here too.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
What they gonna do.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
But I want you all to tell me what you
think about this because I saw this. Pam Bondy she's
posting on social media. Yeah, man, she's going at it
on social media, keeping the world up to date as
to what's happening around here.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
She posted.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
In just forty eight hours, our Memphis Safe Task Force
has made fifty three arrest and seized twenty illegal firearms. Yesterday,
a missing juvenile was located and three firearms were recovered
at a home of a murder suspect.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Wow. So who is the missing juvenile?
Speaker 1 (10:36):
I guess maybe we'll find out who that juvenile is.
I don't know, but man, that the three, it's a
lot of people. What do y'all think about it? Are
they getting to work? Are they Are they, you know,
doing what you some of you that welcomed them here?
(10:58):
Are they doing what you expected them to do? And
are you glad or do you feel some.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Type of way? Hmm?
Speaker 1 (11:10):
What do y'all think? How y'all feeling about all of this? Yeah,
that was the big news. I was gonna take you
the National Guard. They arrived, I mean, but most of
them are already here anyway. But yeah, the arrival of
the Guard is official, and the arrival of Pam Bundy.
Pete hadspent hedge sept And who else did I say
(11:34):
was coming with them? I don't see that story anymore.
But yeah, they are here.
Speaker 5 (11:40):
M h.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Pam then made her way to Memphis. Pamela, excuse me, Pam,
I mean Pamela, She's made her way to Memphis.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
She is here.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
So yeah, fifty three suspects or rest rather and seize
twenty illegal fire arms during the first forty eight hours
of operations.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
What do y'all think y'all think you happy? Are you?
Are you happy they're here? Do you think? Do you
believe it?
Speaker 1 (12:12):
And if you're not happy, why aren't you happy? I
do want to give you a public service because we
care with WDA the heart and soul of the community,
and we care. It looks like at least twenty people
have been affected and four people have died in a
(12:33):
listeria outbreak tied to ready to eat pasta meals sold
nationwide and said they were sold at Walmart and Trader Joe's.
So I just wanted to let you know that, and
I got I got another email, this one I thought
(12:53):
was interesting. So I want y'all to see what you
tell what you think about this one right here?
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Okay, maybe you can help her out.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Or him rather, He writes, my son just started college
this fall, and he already says he hates it and
wants to come home. He's never really left home for
more than a few days, and he's already homesick and
says he can't handle his schoolwork because with everything else
(13:24):
on top of that, he's overwhelmed. He also complains about
not being able to make friends. On one hand, he says.
I want to support him, but on the other I
feel like I'd be doing him a disservice to let
him give up so easily. Life's tough and he's going
(13:46):
to have to learn to deal with it. I know
he's capable, but right now he sounds miserable. How can
I help him without teaching him that it's okay to quit?
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
There's some things in life that it's okay to quit,
but don't quit on life. Because it sounds like he
is experiencing adulting. I know when I first started experiencing adulting,
I was like, what is this? I have to pay
bills every month? A bill is coming every month and
(14:25):
I wasn't used to that. Nobody taught me how to,
you know, manage things. But then I got real good
at it. But I would not have gotten good at it. Well,
y'all know, all right, let's get into it. Got a
few lines that are open if you want to go
ahead and get in here now. Not on one five three, five,
nine three four two, eight hundred five zero three ninety
(14:46):
three four two eight three three five three five nine
three four two, or you can tap in on that
iHeartRadio app and get into the conversation. All right, let
me go to these phones and see what y'all are
talking about today.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
WD I A hello, Hey, hey, tell me how you doing?
Speaker 7 (15:02):
Hey?
Speaker 2 (15:02):
I'm good. How are you?
Speaker 6 (15:05):
I'm doing great? This is c A.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
What's up as I do?
Speaker 6 (15:09):
All right?
Speaker 8 (15:10):
Good?
Speaker 6 (15:11):
All right?
Speaker 5 (15:11):
Well yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a beautiful day outside. I
was just wanted to just say, coming on, the young
man that's in school, Uh, the main thing is he
just have to adjust. This an adjustment thing that you
have to do. Because I went to school. I went
(15:32):
to Tennessee State University. Come on here and oh yeah
they played football, played football up there.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
But anyway, just to say that just an adjustment that
he have to make.
Speaker 9 (15:45):
And his mom, his mom or his father.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
Just need to make him stay up there, you know,
just make him stay and and he adjusts. He will
adjust and he will find people that he can you
know that that can you know that they can come
together and you know, uh, learn how to manage things
there whise in school. But going on a little father,
(16:11):
I just want to say that, but let me say
this about the National Guards that's here.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Are you glad they're here? Now that you know they're here.
Speaker 8 (16:21):
Well, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
I'm not I'm not upset that they're here, and I'm
not angry that they're here. But uh, in a way,
I'm kind of glad they're here. Now let me let me,
let me say why because a few months ago I
had called in and I mentioned to a lot of
my friends, I said, if we keep going the way
we're going, the National Guards are going to come here
(16:45):
to this city. I said that about six seven months ago. Wow,
even before Donald Trump even started talking about national guards.
I said, we don't watch it because I called the
shows going in. I said, you know, we need to
have a perfew here, but we need to enforce the
curfew m And I said that it needs to stem
(17:06):
from twelve to twenty four.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
I said that, you mean these kids that are on
these streets.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
That's on these streets is for everybody now, but I'm
talking about for those that's not out that's out there
for no good read out there for no good reasons. Yeah,
now now now here they are.
Speaker 6 (17:29):
Now here they are. But see here. The thing is,
we shouldn't be upset about it either.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
Because we was complaining about crime needs to be brought
to a hawk or brought to a low, low percentage.
But but we was not trying to make an effort
to do so. All we were doing was just talking
about it. Now, now let me let me say this,
and I'm gonna be through storm it okay, real quick. Now,
(17:56):
if we had a horn in on Donald Trump, list
that what I'm gonna say now before before anybody just
started cutting it up. If we had a horned in
on Donald Trump and our government a governor, rather than
trying to point in on resources and money, we should
(18:17):
have been trying to horn in on how we're gonna
stop this crime. It wasn't about the money. Don't stopping crime. Money,
don't stop crying. People got to come together.
Speaker 6 (18:28):
The slow the slow things up.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
In other words, that carfew would have been in place,
you would have if they had enforced a caterfew and
teck tags. Let the Memshis police do their job, the
sheriff department do their job, and the mayor of the
city mayor and the county mayor did their job. We
(18:52):
wouldn't be in this situation today.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Wow, well all I got.
Speaker 10 (18:57):
I appreciate you, Yes, sir, Look you have a good date,
you too.
Speaker 6 (19:01):
And you love you love you.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
I love you BACKCA, and thank you so much for
calling in again.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
W d I A hello.
Speaker 8 (19:10):
I am the most aerdite mind, brilliant thinker and political.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Oh there it goes black conservative.
Speaker 8 (19:19):
All right, then we did with one thing at a time.
Let me deal with this shutdown. Be very brief on
that Democrats show voting again. They want y'all to believe
that they shutdown of the government was not over health
(19:39):
care for illegal aliens.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
So you're trying to tell us that there was money
on the table for people that are are not legal
in this Country's that what you're saying.
Speaker 8 (19:51):
Here's what y'all need to know about this shutdown. Democrats
proposed nearly two billion dollars to be spent on health
care for illegal and other non citizens for the next decade.
(20:12):
That was enough to find the entire children's health insurance programs.
It's in the bill, you all, I mean, in the resolution.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Democrats send me an email, Send me an email, show
it to me, send it to me.
Speaker 8 (20:27):
Okay, well, let me finish up. Democrats also in this resolution,
so when they come to their shutdown, it's about short
term and long term resolution. Let me make that very clear.
In this long term revolution. Okay, short term revolution. They
proposed grants for illegal They also to get medicaid. They
(20:55):
also had emergency care for illegal under Medicare. And another
thing y'all need to know about. The Democrats were telling
in the media talking about are Republicans gonna shut down
Medicare and people not gonna get their social security and y'alla, y'ada, y'all, no,
not not the case. What Democrats did that caused the
shut down. They put a loophole in there for medicaid
(21:19):
for illegals, a loophole that will allow California to continue exploring,
a loophole to fund medicaid for illegals.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
This is what caused the shut down.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
All right, I got you black conservatives send it to.
Speaker 8 (21:35):
Me now now with the National Guards, let me it's
about the National Guard, real Q. Then I'm gonna go uh.
And you're a Christian, you know this. They are these
people who come in here, they are God serving for
your good. If you do wrong, yeah, be afraid, don't.
(21:55):
They don't better sword in vain. But if you do good,
you don't have to even worry about it. Here's what
y'all need to do, y'all, need to be subject to
the governor authority.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Got your black Conservative? I got you all right, now
what about you may what you gonna do? You tell me?
Y'all need to be Oh not y'all. You too?
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Why you be doing that? Black Conservative? Why I gotta
do you like sah? Let's see, I got an email here.
Matter of fact, I'll read it when I come back,
and y'all could tap in on that iHeartRadio app and
let me know what you got to say on today. Uh,
Chuck trying to get in here. Come on in, Chuck's
a good time for you to call right now. I
got one line open, uh, and we will come back.
Read that email, and then check in on your tap
(22:41):
app taps and you can always call nine oh one
five three five, nine three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two eight three three five
three five nine three four two will be back in
a morning.
Speaker 11 (22:52):
That's right.
Speaker 9 (22:53):
You're listening to the Stormy T Show on AM ten
seventy w t.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
I A to Wine on the River that is this Saturday.
Did you get tickets for that?
Speaker 1 (23:04):
If you don't have them, you can go ahead and
get them mywd I A dot com. I just saw it.
Wanted to sneak in here. Let y'all hear a little
bit of what's going on in Memphis right now.
Speaker 12 (23:13):
For citizens of all backgrounds and all stripes.
Speaker 8 (23:16):
It's love the law enforcement.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Love of our military is that pete all comes together.
Which one is that in this place at the time,
with this task force.
Speaker 12 (23:26):
And I couldn't be more proud for the Department of War,
for the Tennessee National Guard to be a part of
this EP, whether it's a Southwest border, whether it was
Los Angeles, whether it's Washington, d C.
Speaker 13 (23:40):
Department YSP shoulder shoulder right next to law enforce. You
do your job.
Speaker 12 (23:47):
You know yesterday I talked a little bit about liberating
our war fighters on the battlefield. Our job here is
helped liberate all of you law enforcement.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Say you want to help liberate all of us. That's
what he's said.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
I did not know.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Oh he was that easy on the eyes. Don't judge me.
Don't judge me, Please, don't judge me. Let me go
back to the phones and and get to see what
y'all talking about. Who's been holding on the longest, who's
been waiting the longest? W D I A hello, Hello,
(24:20):
Hi there.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Bye hy.
Speaker 14 (24:24):
That was miss Joyce.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Hi, Miss Joyce. How are you?
Speaker 15 (24:28):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I'm okay and you I'm good. I'm good.
Speaker 16 (24:32):
I was calling the young man in college. I do
think that the parents should support him by maybe going
to visit or don't let him come home too much
this first semester, because he'll never get adjusted. But I
(24:52):
do think that he My granddaughter when she went off
to college, she didn't want to be there, but she
ended up coming home and going to a community college,
(25:13):
a local school.
Speaker 14 (25:17):
And so.
Speaker 13 (25:19):
He could do that, you know, if he just must,
he could.
Speaker 16 (25:22):
Come back home of his hometown and enrolled in a
local school. Because some kids aren't ready yet and might
need to stay home and go to community college and
then after those two years that'll get adjusted. But another
thing it reminds me of that parents need to try
(25:46):
to make sure their children don't just stay.
Speaker 17 (25:51):
Oh he don't, won't do nothing.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
She don't, won't be in this.
Speaker 16 (25:55):
She encouraged them to be in things, so they learn
how to make friends, they learn how to be away
from just home, and their parents send them to camp sometimes.
And you know, if you can't ford camp, do like
my mama did, make you go to all the vacation
Bible schools, and so you get to know different people.
Speaker 17 (26:18):
You go to the different ones cross town, so you
still get to know some different people.
Speaker 16 (26:24):
So that's what I think parents need to make sure
they do because when you let your child tell you no,
they don't want to be in this, No, they don't
want to be in that, They just like to stay
in the house all the time, you really need to
encourage them to try to get to know people.
Speaker 13 (26:43):
Because when I had a friend who said she.
Speaker 16 (26:46):
Never lent her kids, not even spend the night with
her mama and so.
Speaker 17 (26:52):
And it wasn't that her mother wasn't a good mother.
Speaker 16 (26:54):
She was, But I still feel like sometimes that's being
a little too possessive and protective, say, because you need
to teach them how to get along without you. Yeah, yeah,
so that's what I felt about that. Yeah, how the
(27:18):
military will do just what they're supposed to do in
terms of being fair and just to people. And we
do need to do something about the crime situation.
Speaker 17 (27:33):
And I hope people who will stop will.
Speaker 16 (27:36):
Have a calm level hated so they're nothing goes so rise.
Speaker 1 (27:41):

because I get so tired every morning and every night.
Speaker 6 (28:56):
You know, you hear on the K news somebody.
Speaker 20 (28:57):
That's gotten shot, somebody has gotten somebody has got a projects.
Speaker 14 (29:02):
You know, they say.
Speaker 20 (29:03):
Crimes down, but it may be some of the other
crimes that are bound. But when it comes to these
shootings and killings and stuff.
Speaker 14 (29:11):
It's still more than a need and where it don't
need to be none at all.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Nurse, I can't ask you a question when it comes
to right now, considering the fact that the National Guard
they're here, do you plan to get out in the
community and you know, do things or are you one
of those people that's like think I might just wait
until this is over to do things because there's a
(29:37):
lot still happening in our communities. So do you or
do you what you feel safer now to get out
in the community and do stuff.
Speaker 16 (29:47):
Start it.
Speaker 14 (29:47):
I pretty much feel safe anytime I get out.
Speaker 18 (29:51):
I know where to go and where not to go.
So the places that I go, I do feel safe.
Speaker 20 (30:00):
And I pray, you know, every morning, every night, thanking
God for his guide onto his protection.
Speaker 10 (30:08):
So I know where to go.
Speaker 13 (30:10):
I don't go places where.
Speaker 20 (30:12):
I know that you know that crime is really really high.
Speaker 16 (30:17):
Now.
Speaker 20 (30:18):
I know something can happen anywhere, but I just try
to use judgment, you know where I go, and you know, and.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
Enjoy my life. Yeah, you know, I don't want to
enjoy my life.
Speaker 20 (30:30):
And on that is a bad guy. I am so
glad that he got life without the work. I am
so glad they shouldn't even had a trial. They should
have went ahead and throw him in.
Speaker 13 (30:45):
Jail, locked him up a first, and he'll throw.
Speaker 20 (30:47):
Him in the river and make him think he's gonna drown,
and then get him out and lock him up.
Speaker 13 (30:53):
But I'm glad he will not get out of jail.
Speaker 20 (30:57):
He's there without the role.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
All right, mid Nurse Beverly, thank you so much for
calling in. Appreciate you, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
All right, Yeah, Brandon Isabel, he got sentenced to you, guys,
if you didn't hear it or see it.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Christ Isabel, a jury of your peers has found here.
Speaker 21 (31:16):
Guilty of the first degree pre meditated murder as charged,
can count one of the indictment. Mister Isabel, the jury
has founded you guilty of the first degree murder of
premeditated killing as charge.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Man, if I've ever seen anything like you know how
people say, man, people be throwing their life away.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
The embodiment of somebody who threw their life away over
what embarrassment over you didn't want to take care of
another child, over what you were mad at somebody, so
you decided to just throw your life away.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
It's a crime. Shame is what it is.
Speaker 13 (32:03):
W D I A hello, let's talk about live your life,
enjoy your life. I can't see it thing it because
every day, on the day I was born and right
now I'm surviving in this life every day as the
black man. And I'm just sick and tired of us
watering things down because look here thro them. If you
(32:27):
build things, they would come. We need to stop this
crab mentality in the basket.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
We need to quit because you know how sick of it.
Speaker 13 (32:37):
Yeah, I'm sick of doing.
Speaker 20 (32:39):
Look at here.
Speaker 13 (32:41):
If we build stuff for email and help people in
these drug addeds and all this stuff to them, then
it might be one or two that we can say.
You know, I'm not in this nanny percentile of people.
I know it just for few of us out of
here who look at the brother who tried to beat
the keeper.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
You know, the half the people.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
We need to.
Speaker 13 (33:04):
Figure out what it's one hundred million dollars gonna be going,
and we need to get on the ball. And then
people that are gonna get depositions, they need to be
working me for a half pipes or free or something.
But they can give back to the community. I mean
storm it's just ridipulous. I've been there, you know I've
been there. I know how to crackhead thinks. I know
(33:25):
how drug added think. They ain't gonna come. You got
to push them to cor Look, you got alcohol and
tobacco advertising all around. Is if you do something like
that about drug condition, you know what push me for Back.
Speaker 6 (33:40):
In the day, when I saw this commercial on TV, you.
Speaker 13 (33:43):
Got to take your mind away.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
Whether that dude used to say.
Speaker 13 (33:47):
Get the pipe away from your you can't pet smoking
a pipe.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
I thought you you don't something. You use your head,
don't lose your head.
Speaker 13 (33:57):
Yeah, that would push me. That will push We got
to have stuff like that promost shop and people will
come to you, don it. Yeah, so stop crown people
and get on board and lung each other. But the
ones out there that get bad, the three, we can
(34:17):
take care of them. You know what I'm saying, throwing
We can take care of them.
Speaker 22 (34:22):
And I'm not here, baby.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
Girl, all right, I forgot Thank you so much. He's
passionate today. W d I A hello, hello Stormy. Yes, Clyde,
what was going on?
Speaker 2 (34:34):
And I can't call it? What's up with you? Clyde?
What's up?
Speaker 8 (34:37):
Okay, yeah, throwing you out.
Speaker 23 (34:41):
I was riding down Third Street today.
Speaker 6 (34:44):
And I tell you I hadn't seen so many different.
Speaker 8 (34:47):
Type of pull thee laus in.
Speaker 23 (34:49):
Different huniform down there pulling cars over level.
Speaker 19 (34:53):
Right.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
How did it make you feel, Clyde?
Speaker 23 (34:57):
I feel good because that cause it was about time.
Speaker 6 (35:01):
That somebody is uh showing the city some attention.
Speaker 8 (35:05):
See.
Speaker 23 (35:05):
We already short the police officers, so they can't be everywhere.
But I tell you what storm I mean. I saw
at l I saw FB. I I just saw some
many different type down there, and I'm telling you something.
They were putting them cars over there from the right. Dude,
come at me, plying the police call come off this
(35:28):
up this lot so fast And by the time I
got way on down the road down there close to
Brooks and the pulled over.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Wow.
Speaker 23 (35:40):
They doing their job and and I'm proud of it.
Speaker 6 (35:44):
I'm proud of.
Speaker 23 (35:46):
And I wish they could stay here.
Speaker 8 (35:50):
For uh.
Speaker 23 (35:52):
Police said till after next year. I'll be good with you,
just to clean and see up mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Well they need to doely so we don't know.
Speaker 23 (36:05):
And and uh, I want to send him to Nurse Veldy.
The reason they're so hard on Memphis because we at
the Republican politicians is pushing for this because they're trying
to keep it from coming out of Bartlet, Germantown, Kyeville.
(36:29):
They trying to stop it right here in Memphis so
it won't come no funble. So that's why they is
pushing for them to come here. See the mother Cititers
ain't pushing for that like Chicago. They need all the
help they can get. And when they come down to
the little boy in school, he just need his parents support.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
He seems like he's on the chat to me.
Speaker 23 (36:54):
Yeah, he needs his parents support. That's all they got
to do is talk to him, be their farm, encourage
him to stay because as long as he stayed that
he gonna meet friends. This is one thing about college.
As long as you stay there, you're gonna meet new friends.
And the thing is he probably missed his old friends
and uh they miss around and let him left Memphis
(37:16):
and went to school.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
If that where he left from.
Speaker 6 (37:19):
It don't seem like he stayed in his home and
he didn't go.
Speaker 8 (37:22):
To school where he's stayed right, he left him went
out of.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Town, probably at TSU or something.
Speaker 23 (37:28):
That's a good thing because a lot of kids leave
Memphide and go out of town.
Speaker 8 (37:32):
They don't come back. They stay with.
Speaker 22 (37:34):
Him because they go to the big city.
Speaker 23 (37:36):
Yeah, so they just need to be their farm and
carriage him go visit them. Like I said, don't don't don't, don't.
Don't be letting him come home all the time.
Speaker 22 (37:45):
Then to step up there.
Speaker 6 (37:46):
And I'll tell you one thing.
Speaker 23 (37:48):
Once he started meeting new friends through, they're gonna they're
gonna have to be called him asking what he's doing
because he's gonna be coming. Don't let him be know
that no one of these hunter balls up there. Hmm,
gonna be old with big yess Mom.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
All right, Clyd, thank you so much for tapping in.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
Alets see uh miss tashha Hey girl, she says. Chicken sausage, Hey, Stormy, Hey,
you are right. Chicken sausage are good. And have you
had the chicken burger? It's good also, girl, I didn't
know they made a chicken burger. Girl, But you know,
just like the turkey burger, the chicken burger also has
(38:28):
to be seasoned. Good love your show, always listening. Thank you, girl,
appreciate you. Miss Cathy says even in greeting Stormy. You know,
if black conservative were to ever get stopped by the
police and was dragged out of his car, bullied around,
kicked in the head, choked, et cetera, I honestly wonder
(38:48):
how he would deal with that situation. I absolutely get
so tired a lot of a lot of black men
who uplift every other race but their own, Because if
God forbid, there were that would have happened to him,
it will be us on the front line marching and
holding our black men. Will will we ever see our
(39:09):
worth in one another? Ps? I truly hope soon. God
bless you go. Girl going to this app real.
Speaker 15 (39:18):
Quick fist to the planet storm and this big dad. Hey,
they had their special meeting over there with everybody with
Trump and everybody with that. You know what I'm saying
the tape you played Trump trying to get the military
to be behind him. If he get the military behind him,
he gonna try his best to do another term. That's
all what that was. He already in the main shirts
(39:41):
and hats. But Trump twenty twenty eight, hmm.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Hmm. Go back to this app.
Speaker 24 (39:50):
They get on here and lie like that. It's against
the law for them to get them insurance. You need
to check up on it before he started lying so much.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Okay, tap that, let's go back.
Speaker 25 (40:09):
Just show you how corrupt our government is from down
to the mayor, the governor, the police's apartment, the DA's office,
that they had to pull in federal help to come
in and do the job for them. They are a
part of the problem. You need to take care everybody.
Take them all the way from there.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Wow. Okay, y'all feel strongly about this. Let's go back
to the phones.
Speaker 3 (40:31):
W D I A.
Speaker 8 (40:31):
Hello, Well, what does they do if they take the
police in the mayor away?
Speaker 2 (40:37):
That's what he said, the mayor and the Trump That's
what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (40:43):
Yeah, yeah, I mean we got to have some law enforcement.
You know, everybody always they talking about defund the police
and do all this kind of stuff. Now, you know,
you work with them, but you can't just absolutely get
rid of them. But uh, I just was gonna comment
on that part, Stormy. I felt some kind of way
about hearing the young man wanting to come home all
the time. And I'm gonna tell you what I think
(41:04):
parents have to do. Start doing early. You got to
get used to making your kids uncomfortable, get them used
to being uncomfortable, take care of them, you know. But
if you constantly coddle them and let them make all
these decision they use, they don't know what's what they
haven't seen, and you've got to stop giving them everything
(41:26):
and just letting them make decisions and things like that.
Because I remember the first day, the very first day
that I went to Jonesborough, Arkansas State, I was by
myself and didn't know anybody, but I walked around campus
and started to get to know people, and you know,
you got to just not let your kids make these
(41:47):
kind of decisions because what will happen is they'll make
a decision that will affect them the.
Speaker 6 (41:51):
Rest of their lives and didn't.
Speaker 8 (41:53):
Give themselves a chance. And you have got to be
the one that be the bearer of that strength years.
That's why I do what parents are supposed to do.
Speaker 6 (42:03):
They're supposed to.
Speaker 8 (42:03):
Be there to protect, guide, and leave the children and
don't make them, you know, let them just be the
comfort zone. A kid don't know what they need. You
understand that, Yeah, that's why.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
Yeah, you know, so that's why they did.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
You're right, you're right, and you know and I've been there,
I know, and I think most parents have, you know,
been in a place where they were like, you know what,
I'm not doing this right.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
I need to start over.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
My uncle Charles had to stop me one time, as
it relates to my daughter. I was, you know, parenting.
I feel like I thought I was right, but he
sat me down. He said, you ain't doing this right,
and so I had to I had to see it
in a different angle. And I think sometimes it's important
for us to kind of get you some friends that
can pour into you.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 8 (42:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know that today's parenting is
a lot different than yesterday's parents. You understand, these kids
got a whole lot that they have access to. They
got influenced and all these kind of things, and it's
a it's a little bit tougher, it's a.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
Lot more work.
Speaker 8 (43:04):
But at the end of the day, you only got
to do it for so long, and then once you
pour into it for them them eighteen years or so forth,
and then you know, when they go to college or
after that, you know, listener to give it twenty something,
your twenty one four. So at the end of the day,
you give them that then they got the rest of
their lives to be the friend, to be the you
know all the things that you do, but you have
got to stay involved with those kids lives for them,
(43:29):
those those impressionable years. Yes, because if not, they will
be influenced by somebody else.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Gotcha.
Speaker 8 (43:35):
Thank you, Chuck to have a great days with her.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
You too, Thank you so much for calling and sharing that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
Uh, it's it's a tough job because you don't get
a book on it when you become most people, when
you become a parent, you don't get a book on
how to do it. But if you'll do the best joke,
you can be there for them.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Take note, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
And.
Speaker 1 (43:59):
You know, stay in their lives. I told my kids,
don't miss nothing. Don't miss nothing. You know why, because
you start missing stuff when they get older, you gonna
wish you were there. We're gonna come back and uh
check in. I want you to hear something Cardi B said.
She was on Jennifer Hudson's show and she says something
that I thought was interesting and about you know, being
(44:23):
a parent and why she anyway, we'll come back and
let you hear that I've let me see you got
one line open, Cassandra, Lady d Tony big Cahuna, y'all
hold on, We're gonna come back and tat to you now.
Oh one five three five nine three four two eight
hundred five zero three nine three four two eight three
three five three five nine three four two. We'll be
back in a moment. And I do appreciate you. That
motor cake came on through, didn't it. It's here in Memphis,
(44:46):
and White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller said, I
see the guns and badges in this room. You are unleashed.
Those handcuffs that you're carrying, they are not your anymore.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
They are on the.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Criminals who wrote this, who did this anyway, they got
yours supposed to be you, not on you anymore anyway.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
And whatever you need to get it done, we're going
to get it done.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
That's what he said, what he told him at that
press conference today, That's what he said. You know what,
there's one person y'all already know we might not be
hearing from from for a minute, might not be hearing
from that man for a minute.
Speaker 2 (45:31):
I'm just saying, Hey, I'm just saying, but I do
have a question. And this is kind of off subjects.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
I heard this young man on social media and I
hear he's from Memphis, So I want somebody to tell
me if it's true.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Listen to this.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
He's blowing up on social media and everywhere. When I
say blowing up, he's got all the celebrities listening to it. Okay,
(46:17):
he was singing some Johnny Taylor, But who is this man?
Speaker 3 (46:19):
A E. J.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Jones?
Speaker 3 (46:21):
Is he from Memphis?
Speaker 2 (46:22):
That's what I'm hearing. I'm hearing he's from Memphis.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
I mean, all the celebrities man going viral all over
the place, but all the celebrities, all of them, your
favorite celebrity is listening to this young man E J.
Speaker 2 (46:32):
Jones.
Speaker 3 (46:34):
Is he from Memphis?
Speaker 1 (46:35):
Is what I'm trying to find out. I tried to
call he is shying to ask him. I kidding, something happened.
I couldn't get through at any rate. That's a bad
boy right there. Let's go back to.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
The phones and see what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
I'm gonna go to the app real quick, and then
we'll go back to the phones and see what you're
talking about on today.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Hi, Stormy, I think I'm forgetful.
Speaker 26 (46:55):
It is talking about Reverend Salton, and he used to say,
get dope at your veins and hope in your brain.
You never get anywhere smoking the pipe. That's the one
I think he's talking about. And he would say get
away from the end crowd, get it close to God,
something of that nature.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
The Reven's aut okay, all.
Speaker 27 (47:16):
Right, w d I A hello, Hey Starmy.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
Hey damn, miss Cassandra. How are you mane?
Speaker 6 (47:23):
How you doing?
Speaker 2 (47:24):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 7 (47:25):
I'm got two quick things.
Speaker 16 (47:29):
Uh.
Speaker 27 (47:30):
My granddaughter went up to Austin p And I kid you,
the first two three months.
Speaker 13 (47:35):
It was just awful.
Speaker 7 (47:38):
And my daughter made her stay up there.
Speaker 27 (47:40):
And now she won't come back to menton what she
graduated and everything, and she do not want to come here.
Speaker 28 (47:49):
Sometimes she don't even want to.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
Come business in Cloudsville now.
Speaker 13 (47:54):
But if you don't make them.
Speaker 27 (47:56):
Stay, because she couldn't, you know, she tell her, I'm
by myself.
Speaker 13 (48:01):
She's the only child too.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
But now she's living up there. Wow.
Speaker 27 (48:06):
And my heart goes out to my.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Friends and her family.
Speaker 27 (48:11):
I'm so glad that they got justice that they didn't
waiting on.
Speaker 28 (48:16):
But that boy thought that baby in the Lake and.
Speaker 27 (48:19):
Killed her grat Oh my goodness. She my friend and
I'm so happy for them.
Speaker 20 (48:25):
And clark A.
Speaker 27 (48:26):
Clyde is right now with the crime is here, but
you pushing out to Cordoba and uh, Kanye Bill.
Speaker 2 (48:34):
You got to stop it. You got to stop it
because leave it was leading out there.
Speaker 27 (48:39):
It was good out here in Hickory Hill until they
started calling the Hickory Hood. So you know, they got
to stop it. So I'm glad they here, and I'm
not afraid. I'm like miss Nurse Bell. I can go
anywhere I want to go.
Speaker 2 (48:52):
I choose not to go to this place I know
not to go.
Speaker 6 (48:57):
So I'm glad Stormy.
Speaker 27 (48:58):

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Welcome. I'm on in there.
Speaker 13 (50:01):
I'll commence some more because allow.
Speaker 10 (50:03):
Me to qualify myself.
Speaker 6 (50:05):
I used to be an investigative reporter with the tracks
they defended. I reached the age where I can blow
them all one. You know what I mean. I'm norma
rud wringing office will tell you know.
Speaker 5 (50:15):
I'm glad to say.
Speaker 10 (50:16):
But during my time, which was the late nineties early
two thousands, I was credited to that being a very
effective investigative reporter.
Speaker 7 (50:24):
For the track state defender.
Speaker 6 (50:26):
I bought the front page.
Speaker 22 (50:27):
Back to credibility, all right.
Speaker 6 (50:29):
But also at that time, and I'm not trying to
be greedy.
Speaker 8 (50:33):
But two things doesn't need to get out pleased.
Speaker 6 (50:34):
Thank you look, and you got the t on. I
don't do t I'm taking tea again.
Speaker 22 (50:39):
But back in the day, if you remember Red the
White Montgomery.
Speaker 8 (50:45):
Myself and STEVEE.
Speaker 16 (50:46):
Moore.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
Uh huh first got out there.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
When Steve the first got out there, he.
Speaker 28 (50:50):
Had an all blue truck and a truck load truck
load of sass.
Speaker 22 (50:55):
Right first started, stopped the.
Speaker 10 (50:57):
Killing my seven, the white Montgomery with the airport of
our Gillium. We ran the operations TakeBack Anti gang hotline.
We were screaming a trumpet screaming for ten years, almost
twelve years.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Nobody show up to help.
Speaker 10 (51:14):
Oh yes he is, yes, dam I was the first
day he started. Bad had gas money to get to
the next sign. But and as I'm as liberal in
certain instances as anyone, but the National God is not
here for the black populations.
Speaker 6 (51:32):
They're here for them ninjas, our cousins.
Speaker 22 (51:35):
When once we got to the point where we got.
Speaker 6 (51:37):
Desensitized to four and five children.
Speaker 10 (51:41):
A week being strained, shot or even killed by random gunfire,
it didn't matter.
Speaker 6 (51:49):
Calling the air force for right.
Speaker 10 (51:50):
Now whoever is needed, because there is an issue here
that we're trying to be diplomatic about.
Speaker 6 (51:58):
A diplomponac that does not get it. And the liberals.
Speaker 10 (52:02):
Mindset has gone overboard.
Speaker 6 (52:04):
Number it's a conservatives or you jump on that.
Speaker 8 (52:07):
The only thing.
Speaker 6 (52:07):
Conservative is about you, sir is you just have a
problem with showing that you have a.
Speaker 10 (52:12):
Conservative amount of intelligence. But the black community has the
face and issue that we have, and that is we
have got to tell our little friends our dominions, we're
sick of you.
Speaker 6 (52:27):
Where are the marches on the violence? And the last
thing I'd like to say, if I still have time,
the perfect example, if you.
Speaker 10 (52:35):
Remember, there was a rioting in Fraser after the US
Marshals killed a young man who had conjacted a working man.
Speaker 6 (52:44):
On Facebook in South Haven.
Speaker 10 (52:48):
This young man had many children.
Speaker 8 (52:50):
He was trying to sell a car.
Speaker 10 (52:52):
He got followed him like he come to buy the
carside and five times drove through the city acting of
food on Facebook.
Speaker 6 (52:58):
Then got the Fraser and had got into it. You
as Marshalls right, there.
Speaker 13 (53:04):
Was a riot on behalf of these stems until.
Speaker 2 (53:07):
This very day.
Speaker 10 (53:09):
Where our accolades, Where are the buckets? Where is the
ten dollars each for the victim of his crime? Cannot
you cannot debate this away. It's very simple, lady, and
Kroger said it been than anybody I've ever heard. She said,
We've been poured before.
Speaker 8 (53:28):
We have never been this stupid Wow, yes it is.
Speaker 6 (53:33):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 10 (53:33):
I'm not trying to over editorialize, but you know it
is the topic of the day. But it's been too
long since we put our foot down and told these
people you crying about issues that are not there anymore.
Speaker 6 (53:45):
This is not nineteen sixty four.
Speaker 2 (53:46):
They don't just.
Speaker 10 (53:47):
Snack to us out of the car anymore as they
used to. It's never going to be perfect, but there's
nowhere nears the abilitator in danger.
Speaker 5 (53:54):
How you driving a sixty thousand dollars car driving.
Speaker 6 (53:57):
Like a food nobody else can drive on the same street.
Speaker 5 (54:00):
You uncle, You just a fool. You're bailing up and
down the streets.
Speaker 6 (54:03):
At one hundred miles an hour in.
Speaker 10 (54:04):
The smallest street, smallest neighborhood. But you want to blame
everybody else when.
Speaker 6 (54:10):
You get pulled over. Wow, I wish I could.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
Get a job with them.
Speaker 8 (54:15):
I'm tired of it.
Speaker 6 (54:16):
My daddy told me, no problem, you do whatever you want.
Speaker 8 (54:19):
To as long as the police keep you because.
Speaker 6 (54:22):
You rather see them then you rather see me then
see me.
Speaker 8 (54:25):
And that's what we are.
Speaker 6 (54:26):
It's just that, you know, we have a.
Speaker 10 (54:28):
Mindset that that it's nineteen sixty and every young black
man is chainey in here.
Speaker 22 (54:34):
The civil rights.
Speaker 8 (54:35):
Workers that were snatched out the bus.
Speaker 6 (54:36):
It's not happening these days. So lady d keep doing
what you're doing. WDIA periods and you, ma'am, I'm gonna
go home.
Speaker 10 (54:46):
And steep me from tea tonight with some honey.
Speaker 6 (54:50):
And some ginger and some women. Yeah, and yes, ma'am.
Speaker 5 (54:54):
So sarly y'all had to.
Speaker 6 (54:56):
I don't call because I don't try to sound.
Speaker 3 (54:58):
Like I know it all.
Speaker 16 (54:59):
But seen this.
Speaker 6 (55:00):
Before and it's on us now. It's on us now.
Speaker 10 (55:03):
You don't need and the scene that upset that they
don't have cable vision is not a necessity. It is
not two hundred our attendant shoes are not a necessity.
Speaker 22 (55:14):
It is time for us to stand up and say.
Speaker 6 (55:16):
We are literally stick to you people.
Speaker 2 (55:18):
I gotta dodge.
Speaker 6 (55:19):
Last week, thank you, Tomas.
Speaker 10 (55:22):
Last week, let's marge where the problems are, gotcha.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
I'm gonna have to let you go.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
I hate to do it.
Speaker 2 (55:28):
I got to let you go. You and talk for
a long time, but you said.
Speaker 8 (55:32):
I didn't mean to be greedy.
Speaker 5 (55:33):
But thank you, and you keep rolling the girl you're.
Speaker 1 (55:35):
Running, and thank you Tony appreciate you calling in man. Yeah,
that's interesting because I've heard a lot of people say
that sometimes. You know, why why aren't we marching for
certain things?
Speaker 2 (55:49):
And there are some people that are.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
I've had to defend us to some of my Caucasian
counterparts and say, you you see us through a lens.
You don't see everything. You don't see everything because you
don't cover everything. You only cover what you care about.
Were talking about it all, But sometimes we do seem
(56:13):
to choose, pick and choose what we'll get angry about.
M All right, let me go back to the phones
and see what you guys are talking about today. W
D I A hello, thank you, I'm good coming man,
how are you?
Speaker 5 (56:30):
I'm doing fad wonderful. I'm doing fa uh. I'm gonna
hear a few subjects right quick. I won't belong okay.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
I like uh just I like all the.
Speaker 5 (56:39):
Advice different people has given regarding the sign being off
the college. Everybody made good points and gave good advice.
Speaker 6 (56:47):
So myself, I would say talk to one.
Speaker 5 (56:50):
And let them know that, you know, you just take
a little while, you'll get used to it, you know,
get out minga walk around, talk with people, Minga. You
meet some friends and you know, after awhile, they'll be okay.
You'll get used to being gone. You gotta you gotta
let your kids be getting grow up at some point
in time, because mom and dadd is not gonna always
be there, that's for sure, you know. And just let
(57:10):
him grow into being a younger duck.
Speaker 6 (57:12):
He'll be all right.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
You know, we have to go through those spaces.
Speaker 5 (57:15):
But he's not gonna kill him.
Speaker 6 (57:17):
He'll be all right.
Speaker 5 (57:20):
You know, I heard Nurse Beverley mentioned, Uh, they making
Memphis look really bad. Mymphis is really bad. I don't
care about none of the high profile people that are
here in Memphis. See, we're paying attention to the wrong stuff.
We're looking at who's here? The National God gonna be there,
you know, all.
Speaker 22 (57:39):
That old mess.
Speaker 5 (57:40):
We're forgetting about the criminals. How do we lose the
focal point? I don't understand it, you know what I'm saying.
I was just looking at the news that you meant
ago A guy was saying that, you know.
Speaker 6 (57:50):
Uh, I believe the National.
Speaker 5 (57:52):
God is gonna be a threat, you know, standing around
on the streets.
Speaker 6 (57:55):
With guns and this, that and the.
Speaker 5 (57:56):
Other people have said many times that they're not even
gonna be armed.
Speaker 6 (58:00):
A less MPD request, you know, but this is what
I'm chirpping on or.
Speaker 5 (58:06):
You know, kind of like Lad took myself about, would
you feel more threatened Storming by seeing National guds standing
out on the street with guns or seeing the little
homies standing out on the street with guns.
Speaker 1 (58:17):
May you know what you just made me think about?
You remember that shooting that happened in Orange Mound that day.
Those kids were out at the park in the park
and they had all those guns, right, and I think
people got shot and hurt those kids.
Speaker 5 (58:33):
The videos one got that, one of the young guy,
one got that.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
But the but the image of that is like right scary,
It very scary.
Speaker 5 (58:45):
It's unbelievable. So I don't understand why people are complaining
about and that asking of God quote unquote standing around
with guns when the little homies are standing around, riding
around tajacking, you're robbing you the National God. I'm not
gonna do that. So I'm loving the fact that they're
here fifty three year rest.
Speaker 6 (59:05):
Remember I spoke about it last week Storming the team.
Speaker 5 (59:08):
The more people they pull over, I'm okay with it
because along the way, they're gonna find some illegal guns,
some drugs, and people are going to go to jail.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
They found a missing child.
Speaker 8 (59:18):
About it, they.
Speaker 6 (59:20):
Found a missing child.
Speaker 5 (59:21):
They went to a home of a murder suspect. So
I like the work that they're done. That they're doing.
You know, out of those twenty guns they got, I
would be willing to bet. We will never know, but
I venture it would have been at least one victim
out of those twenty guns somewhere along the way. So
our applaud was going on right now. And again that's
(59:43):
just my opinion. Now I got one hero for today.
You asked about the heroes. So when I was about
I may have been had. I may have been about
thirteen years old whatever. At swe pool one time, me.
Speaker 6 (59:56):
And my brothers and a couple of nephews and stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:00:00):
And uh, I thought i'd do out of swim. I
never had gone into deep water. And I found out
that I didn't And I was drowning in some kind
of way.
Speaker 6 (01:00:11):
A crowd of people in the pools women some kind
of way.
Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
That life God saw me.
Speaker 6 (01:00:15):
He came to save my life.
Speaker 8 (01:00:17):
I was actually drowning.
Speaker 6 (01:00:18):
Wow, I was going down.
Speaker 5 (01:00:19):
And then didn't know how to come back up, didn't
know how to tread the water, and uh, I was
actually drowning. He came and got me, saved my life.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Wow.
Speaker 8 (01:00:27):
Literally yeah, so that.
Speaker 5 (01:00:30):
I don't know. One never didn't get them. That was
years ago.
Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
But that's my hero. I never get that. Thank you
coming man. I appreciate your sharing. Okay, all right, thank you?
Wow w D I a hello, hey, hello on the
storm the tea. Hey lady d how you doing.
Speaker 6 (01:00:50):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 28 (01:00:53):
I had to make a move good storm in When
you put on that arm of God and you can
take him in it and everywhere. I'm telling you that
you put that on, you can take him in it
and everywhere. And just like Steve say, be washed and
keeping head on swiver. And one thing I do know,
(01:01:15):
they have stopped. They have slowed the bad boys down.
Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
And again.
Speaker 29 (01:01:22):
The man was right.
Speaker 19 (01:01:24):
You get a setting.
Speaker 13 (01:01:25):
Even if your car on corfor thirty thousands.
Speaker 28 (01:01:29):
While you drive it, if they do one hundred at
the seed at the dashboard say one hundred, you gonna
see canny, do I mean pass one hundred and forty
or two hundred or three hundred, and you food.
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
Because you got to be a food.
Speaker 28 (01:01:48):
You gonna see where they go they fast.
Speaker 13 (01:01:50):
Oh, I'm gonna see what they low they thinking.
Speaker 28 (01:01:53):
And then you come back and get a senior citizens they.
Speaker 23 (01:01:58):
Hard got to jump.
Speaker 28 (01:01:59):
Back out because you done pass to signe and do
the right thing.
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
What did that X cop state? What did then the
cops state?
Speaker 28 (01:02:11):
If they no nonsense kind.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
Of people just follow the rules.
Speaker 13 (01:02:17):
And now you know something that's I wish they would do, storming.
Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
What's that?
Speaker 28 (01:02:22):
The cut through the curtsying need to be uh huh.
You know why I said it because right now, you
know what I see different since they don't move here
that I ain't never saw really since I've been over
here in twenty seven years, been here twenty seven now
(01:02:43):
twenty eight years. You know what I I saw that
I didn't have things?
Speaker 11 (01:02:50):

Speaker 28 (01:03:18):
Uh no, no, no, I wasn't the one that really
saw him.
Speaker 7 (01:03:24):
I got the leeves.
Speaker 30 (01:03:25):

Speaker 28 (01:03:26):

Now her doors was open.
Speaker 28 (01:03:44):

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
You know what I tell you that is that is crazy,
you know.
Speaker 1 (01:03:53):

she was talking about having kids and this is this
is I hate to say it, but being a parent
and a good parent sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
Is it just me?
Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
When Cardi B said this, I could relate to her.
Listen to this when she's talking about her kids.
Speaker 20 (01:07:50):
Yes, you are, Oh yes, it's like the more kids
who have the less of a possibility you go to
like a home.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
One of them is gonna wape my but.
Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Uh yeah, okay, okay, it's shameless, but that's how we are,
and some of us we just hope that one of
them kids will do right about it or by us
when we get a little older.
Speaker 19 (01:08:15):
W d I A hello, Hey you saw how you doing?
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):

And common man happy to be alerted the lady birthday man,
school guy calmer, man calm and says smart guy. Uh
what I call about was these these the clerks office
today saw me or the lines people will wrap around
the building.
Speaker 19 (01:08:37):
What you know they trying to these paper tags? You
know they buckling down on them.
Speaker 17 (01:08:41):
Yeah, I know that.
Speaker 19 (01:08:42):
I saw a difference today in paper tags. They pulling
them over.
Speaker 31 (01:08:46):
These paper tags almost anybody you pull over with the
paper tag, you're gonna find something that they don't have
registration to show us whatever.
Speaker 19 (01:08:55):
And you can almost tell the cars every every.
Speaker 31 (01:08:58):
Once in a while you might get one car, one
or two cars with paper tags is legit. But the
majority of especially this he can hear there it's bogus,
but it's it's a big difference. I noticed today when
I was riding around, because they are definitely pulling them
over with these tags.
Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
Yeah, so yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
I heard a couple of days ago, friend of mine
the same day that the clerk's office was said they
were having problems statewide issues. A friend of mine, her
friend had gone down there and she said they was
it was so many people down there that it was ridiculous,
and that's bad.
Speaker 31 (01:09:32):
But you got to make people do right, and you
see what it took for them to do right. But
this one of the changes that's taking place right now
with these paper tags.
Speaker 19 (01:09:42):
Because now, as for the murders.
Speaker 31 (01:09:44):
I don't think nationalgards, nobody gonna stop that because the
crime is committed when they.
Speaker 19 (01:09:50):
Come from that, but it's a big help.
Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
It might slow it down at least are good.
Speaker 19 (01:09:57):
But every little bit.
Speaker 31 (01:09:58):
Helps, no matter what you know, it's just like a pastor.
He like you said, if he can save one, he is,
he's doll a good job. So that's the way I
look at it with that. Yeah, but come man, you
keep on pumpting and knowledge as a small guy, very intelligent,
very intelligent.
Speaker 19 (01:10:16):
Yeah, I appreciate you here.
Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
All right, no problem, mister Rob. Thank you so much
for calling in. Appreciate you on this beautiful humphany hump day.
W d I A Hello, Hello, call you there? Hello, Hello,
all right, maybe they'll call back.
Speaker 6 (01:10:37):
W d I A Hello, Hey man, how you doing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
Hey, I'm doing good. Mster West, how are you?
Speaker 6 (01:10:44):
I'm all right, I'm all right. I want to speak
on this national gud.
Speaker 32 (01:10:50):
You know, when I envisioned them coming here, I thought that, uh,
we have to deal with the governor to be the
one that sent him in here and the handle and everything.
Speaker 6 (01:11:00):
I didn't know that Trump would put his hand all
over the thing, make it like it's something.
Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
He'd come up with.
Speaker 32 (01:11:07):
And uh, and for that reason, I think it's gonna
take a turn for the worst. And uh, I believe
he's gonna try to use this thing to start the
civil war. And what I think he been trying to
send a subliminal message out to all his minions that
he trying to start the war. He's talking about the
all these shootings and assassinations been done by Republicans and mega,
(01:11:32):
but he keeps trying to put it on the on
the Democrat. Wow.
Speaker 2 (01:11:37):
So you don't think we have a crime problem, mister West, Yeah, we.
Speaker 32 (01:11:41):
Got a crime problem, but uh, we might have a
bigger problem if they set this thing off. I believe
he's gonna have what's got done, uh uh national thousand assassinated.
I think he's gonna say they're gonna put one of
the uh put a hit out of him like they
got and shot him. You know, you know all that
will take, but he gonna I believe he's gonna try
(01:12:03):
to stop and missed what I think and uh and
I believe that's his whole objective is uh. You know,
he looked why he had all them generals up there
at one time and told him they get ready.
Speaker 6 (01:12:14):
To fight a war within you know, within the country.
Speaker 8 (01:12:19):
So we got to watch out for that, you know.
The other than that, you know, it would have been alright,
but uh, Donald Trump got his hand out over He's
going to mess it up.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
I already know all right, mister Wells, I got you
all right, Okay, he ain't got no faith.
Speaker 30 (01:12:36):
And that might at all, Stormy storm what we gonna
do with him?
Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
I just have a question. So this Pam Bundy lady.
Speaker 30 (01:12:46):
She said that they took all these guns off the streets,
all these illegal guns, I might add, So I have
a question what constitutes an illegal gun these days?
Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
Can you please explain?
Speaker 8 (01:12:59):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (01:12:59):
Hey, I don't know you asking me. The only thing
I can figure is a Draco. And I just learned
about Draco the other day. I don't think he's supposed
to be a ten year old walking around with Draco.
And and there's a video of that that happened in
Memphis a few nights ago, Matt, was it last week
or over the weekend? I think I think of Draco
(01:13:20):
could probably be one of those illegal guns.
Speaker 17 (01:13:23):
W D I a hello, hey, get out the nonstorming.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
I'm good, Golden girl. How are you all right?
Speaker 7 (01:13:31):
All right?
Speaker 13 (01:13:32):
Thank you?
Speaker 7 (01:13:33):
Okay, I bake cookie and I have a t K recipe.
I see a bake too? What what TK from my mom?
Speaker 2 (01:13:47):
Okay, so are you going to share them with the class?
Speaker 7 (01:13:53):
I'm not at home, but yeah, I don't mind share.
Speaker 9 (01:13:57):
I want to try them out.
Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
Oh okay, yeah, I'm not at home.
Speaker 1 (01:14:02):
Yeah, A lot of people making them these days. A
lot of people don't make them these days.
Speaker 6 (01:14:06):
Right, it's old school.
Speaker 7 (01:14:08):
You know, your parents and cook you probably won't have
that recipe. And it's like making biscuit. But you know
it's a look like it's a light look cake, you know,
not too christy, not too.
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Soft, right right, I want to dress mister Henry. I
heard him the other day.
Speaker 17 (01:14:27):
And I want him to It was not me.
Speaker 7 (01:14:30):
Yeah, the other day he said someone tried to get
on him or something.
Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
No, he said somebody sound like Nurse Beverly. It was
either you or Miss Cassandra.
Speaker 7 (01:14:41):
Yeah, but he said someone was trying to I guess
get at him or something like that.
Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
But it wasn't me.
Speaker 6 (01:14:50):
I want him to know.
Speaker 8 (01:14:51):
We love him.
Speaker 7 (01:14:52):
We love to hear him call in. He made our
day and you know it's stormy. I think when he
said all change, I think they went.
Speaker 20 (01:15:02):
Over everybody's head.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Did take over your head?
Speaker 5 (01:15:04):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
What about?
Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
What now?
Speaker 7 (01:15:08):
When he said, oh, you know, he had these little
words he'll say, like our looper, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Our looper then you say he said.
Speaker 8 (01:15:14):
All change, and yeah, I think that went over everybody's head,
but I caught it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
I said that, mister Henry, Yeah, all change.
Speaker 17 (01:15:25):
You didn't hear you didn't hear him say that.
Speaker 2 (01:15:28):
I'm sure I did, but it probably went over my.
Speaker 7 (01:15:32):
Yeah, he gonna call and let you know.
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
I said back one yea, I gotta go back and
run it. That's a new one, all change.
Speaker 8 (01:15:39):
I like that he kept it clean, you know.
Speaker 7 (01:15:43):
So I just want to let him know.
Speaker 8 (01:15:45):
Keep calling in.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
The older girl that never get on you.
Speaker 17 (01:15:48):
He looked forward to your call and.
Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
He makes our day.
Speaker 8 (01:15:51):
And that's what I wanted to say.
Speaker 7 (01:15:54):
Glad I got in.
Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
Okay, Well, thank you so much for calling. I appreciate you.
Bring me some teacakes. You know where I am on
faradis bring me some teacakes. Ah, you think you'll bring them,
I don't know. Let's see a couple emails here. Mss
Mary says, I bet you won't ever get that information
that you requested in writing from a liable or reliable source.
Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
Trump did his usual, which is push a lie to.
Speaker 1 (01:16:19):
Make it seem like the Democrats want funding for health
care for illegal immigrants. That has been proven to be
false a false claim by several news outlets. Trump did
the same thing when it came to presenting false evidence
concerning South Africa. He pushes false narratives to make everyone,
anyone other than himself look bad, and some of his
(01:16:40):
people parrot that foolishness as if it's the gospel. And
to be fair, the Democrats are sometimes guilty of the
same thing. Stormy, I was glad to hear on the
news briefs earlier from vin where Texas citizens will be
voting concerning no bond for certain crimes. This needs to
happen in state to state under circum certain circumstances. Okay, Stormy,
(01:17:05):
you know who my hero in my life is my father.
He taught me everything about life and that's how I
raised my son. And when they speak of illegal guns
they got off the street, that's from the people that
had the gun. That was felons. Okay, so it's not
really the gun they're saying. He's illegally talking about the
people that have them, the felons that have them.
Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Sure about that, Clyde?
Speaker 1 (01:17:28):
You sure w d I A Hello, Hello, Hey there
doing good? What's going on Denver? What's going on?
Speaker 22 (01:17:39):
I can't call it.
Speaker 17 (01:17:40):
I can't call it real quick, boygu said, I want
to give a shout out to my mom and her
friend is married.
Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
Their listeners.
Speaker 22 (01:17:47):
Uh, just gout the phone with her while it was
hod Way for you, so she said, we said here
listening to the show right now, So real quick, it's amazing,
Thank you, it's amazing. How run there was that run?
The last male called her before me.
Speaker 13 (01:18:06):
No, Run hasn't called Trump, trying to make it seem
like West doing this shooting.
Speaker 17 (01:18:13):
Mister West, come on, man, every last one almost I'll
say almost, because I can't say every last There may
be something I don't know about. Almost every last mass
shooting has been committed by someone on the left. The
young man kill you sure about.
Speaker 27 (01:18:34):
That, Denver?
Speaker 6 (01:18:34):
Let's see.
Speaker 17 (01:18:36):
Let's see the young man killed Charlie Kirky.
Speaker 22 (01:18:39):
Come to find out he's sleeping with his roommates. Who's
the boy that's trying to be a girl. Let's see
a chance to do.
Speaker 13 (01:18:46):
I'm pretty sure he did not vote for Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
Do you do you pay attend to drum? Let me
ask you this. Do you listen to Candice Owens? Are
you a fan?
Speaker 4 (01:18:56):
Uh?
Speaker 22 (01:18:56):
Sometimes I do half the time. No, I really don't.
I used to with Uh.
Speaker 17 (01:19:01):
She went a little too far left for me, so
I kind of stopped listening to her into something that
she said addressing.
Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
That, Well, yeah, she said she doesn't believe that he's
the one. That's what she's saying.
Speaker 6 (01:19:14):
Why not?
Speaker 20 (01:19:15):
Hey, what whatever did she give?
Speaker 13 (01:19:20):
I just asked you?
Speaker 29 (01:19:21):
I just asked.
Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
Was just a question.
Speaker 17 (01:19:23):
I know, I know, I know, But what I'm saying
is I'm asking you.
Speaker 22 (01:19:27):
It's because I say I don't believe such and such.
Speaker 17 (01:19:29):
My question would be to follow up is in what
we don't get from these liberal news why do you
believe that?
Speaker 13 (01:19:37):
Don't just tell me what you can that concluded you can.
Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
This isn't a liberal.
Speaker 32 (01:19:46):
That doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
Okay, you still want.
Speaker 22 (01:19:50):
Because we're conservatives just because.
Speaker 6 (01:19:52):
You have, y'all, I don't go along with everything.
Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
Not you see, how y'all be doing that? You are
lack and sir? Why y'all be doing that?
Speaker 27 (01:19:59):
Y'all?
Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
Y'all down?
Speaker 3 (01:20:00):
You people?
Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
You hey, i'll be doing that.
Speaker 17 (01:20:06):
Assumed that because I'm a conservative I agree with everything
another conservative did, or because a person is a liberal,
I gotta medically disagree.
Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Do you agree with everything. Donald Trump says, no, I don't.
What What is it that you don't agree? What is
it that you don't agree with.
Speaker 12 (01:20:25):
That?
Speaker 17 (01:20:26):
He said, Let's see what is it that he's done
recently that I do not agree with?
Speaker 6 (01:20:30):
Okay, yeah, it's not much.
Speaker 13 (01:20:32):
What is not much?
Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
Okay? I disagree with.
Speaker 22 (01:20:37):
The fact that he ain't getting legals out of her past.
Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
Du Oh my goodness, oh my, okay, I gotta go. Jimber,
I got you, okay, all right, I love you.
Speaker 18 (01:20:48):

Speaker 23 (01:20:49):

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Yeah, that ma ain't not ain't no prayer book.
Speaker 1 (01:20:53):
That is what I ain't used to say back in
the day. See my ain't his cousin. Oh, my cousin.
I think she stabbed my grandmama and my other aunt
was friends with this cousin and stab my grandmama and
(01:21:20):
my amen. She's still living today, about one hundred years old.
She never liked it, and so she told the family,
among other things, that woman my ain't no prayer book.
Speaker 2 (01:21:40):
That's what she said.
Speaker 1 (01:21:41):
Okay, all right, w d I A hello, hello, hello, hi,

Speaker 8 (01:22:33):
Also at Gucci Pool, that a young man that saved
my life.
Speaker 29 (01:22:37):
I went all the way down to the bottom of
the pool.
Speaker 3 (01:22:39):

Speaker 29 (01:22:42):
Thank god, I knew how to save all my breath
and before I knew it, someone that came and wrapped
their arms around me and took me about that water.
Speaker 18 (01:22:51):
And I could see that first was dog like.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):

Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
All right, you're very welcome. Yeah, man, I'm telling you

Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
They don't all of them.

They don't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
They don't wear capes.
Speaker 16 (01:24:19):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
Some heroes are quiet, you know, they don't talk all

They don't all look the same.
Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
I ain't gonna call myself no hero, but let me

I just want to just one of the points. While
the National Guards is coming to Messics, it's becauseful E
say and Google and Google, there's going to be a
lot of influence for people moving into this value. They're
trying to clean it up because they want to take
over the downtown area and they're bringing millions into Mystics
(01:26:57):
in the next five years.
Speaker 2 (01:26:59):
You heard me say that, didn't you.
Speaker 4 (01:27:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:27:02):
I think I ah, well, you know what, Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:27:13):
Hey it might be Hey, we don't know, you know,
it might hey, hey, that's just one of you know,
maybe you know, one of those conspiracy theories.
Speaker 4 (01:27:23):
And I just wanted everybody to know you still got
people taking care of the Parents Club property. They hadn't
sold it. They're still investing into the computer community. I
invest in the Orange Now, I invest in my Uh.
I've had my family's house for sixty years. Is not

our city because we love it.
Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
