Speaker 1 (00:00):
One more day and it's on Impoppment.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Tickets sold out, by the way for our anniversary concert.
We are so excited. I am so excited. I'm so
looking forward to seeing you guys. I know y'all gonna
be sharp. Some of y'all's sharp as a tax. Some
of y'all getting your hair done, your nails done, toes done,
you get it all done, unmentionables, all that stuff. Yeah,
(00:30):
And good for you because for some of us it'll
be the first time we've stepped out in a minute. Yeah,
And I think every now and then, it's good to
get out, you know, it's good, good to get out
around people who are like minded.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
People who are grown folks.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Okay, because it's gonna be a grown folk party.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Okay, it is. I saw this, Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
I was on social media one day and I saw,
I don't see if I can find if I can
find the video. There's something here going, something going on
in Memphis, and it's it's not for singles.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
It's for couples.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
And it's like a couple's night out where they blindfold you.
Have y'all seen that? Has anybody seen that? Or maybe
have you been there.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Anyway?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
It's like a singles it's not a singles event. First
I thought, is it a singles event? And is the chef,
because it's a chef that's doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Is he feeding these folks the food? What's going on here?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Then I realized, Okay, it's couples and probably a lot
of them married couples, and they come to this event
and they blindfold everybody, and a lot of the couples
feed each other food, foods, and they don't know what
the foods are, you.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Know what I'm saying. So it's interesting.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
And then at the end of the video that they
posted on social media, honey, there was a lot of
kissing going on from the couples, of course, So I'm like, hmm,
maybe y'all have seen it, Maybe y'all have done it,
and I don't know, Maybe you don't want to talk
(02:26):
about it. Maybe you want to email me and let
me know. You know, it looks interesting. I personally don't
think that I would want to go to that, because
I mean, I don't necessarily mind public PDA, as they say,
public displays of affection, But.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I'm not so sure. I won't be in a room
with other folks who's kissing and all of that stuff,
because what else are y'all gonna be doing? Where's the afterparty?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
No, I'm sure it's nothing like that, but it does
look like something that is probably good for a lot
of couples, you know, because I think sometimes in relationships,
you know, at least that's what I heard, And I
guess it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Have to be that you're married.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Sometimes in relationship that you lose, people lose the intimacy
or they're trying to find the intimacy putting it back
into the relationship. And so I guess an event like
that kind of helps, you know, put the intimacy back
in the relationship. I guess that's why at the end
of the night, everybody's so turned on, you know.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
I was like, he posted this on social.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Media, Okay a babe, and then I had to turn
my head because it was getting a little from them couples.
They was, yeah, yeah, that was kind of steamy. So, yeah,
that's that's something that happens here in Memphis. If y'all
want to dig into and find out what it.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Is, I mean, that's up to y'all. That's up to y'all.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I thought it was interesting. I saw the story of
the woman. Did y'all see the woman speaking out after it?
And I told you all this story a few days
ago about the woman that went to the hospital and
let me see, this was at Franciscan Health Crown Point
Hospital and in Indiana. She went to the hospital she
(04:24):
was having a baby, and they dismissed her.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
A nurse dismissed her. She never saw a doctor.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
They dismissed her, and then eight minutes later in her car,
her husband had to deliver her baby. I thought it
was interesting after, you know, watching all of this, and
because that's a story right there that I'm sure a
(04:55):
lot of attorneys have come to her and said.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Want to sue.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
And basically when they did the news story on them.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
This young lady and her, they said they don't want
to sue. They don't want to sue.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
M She spoke out after she was discharged while in
active labor, forcing her to give birth on the side
of the road eight minutes, eight minutes after she left
the hospital, eight minutes she's crying. Her husband's wheeling her out.
They took video of it. She said, I just want
(05:39):
them to do better, That's what she said.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
She don't want to sue M.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
She does believe it was racial discrimination, so she does
have a lawsuit all day, but she said, I don't
want to sue.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
M.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
So the hospital said they're investigating and all of that.
So not sure what they're going to do. But it
was heartbreaking to see, you know, you know, kind of
to see. But the joy of it is what a
memory they'll have to share with that baby when that
baby grows up, that your father was the one to
(06:21):
deliver you. Even through the pain, there was a blessing
that came out of it, you know, even through the
pain of all of this, because you know it was painful.
She was, I'm sure embarrassed. Imagine you just said it
was dehumanizing. Imagine you go to the hospital, you're pregnant
and you about to have a baby, and they tell
(06:43):
you put you out and it ain't got nothing to
do with your insurance and nothing like that.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
They put you out. They put her out.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
She said, I just want them to do better, take
accountability for it.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Do better, is what she said.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
I was like, Wow, I cannot believe she does not
well to do I can't believe it.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
God believe it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Uh, the lady that I was telling you guys about yesterday,
the lady out of Chicago. Man, I found out so
many just awful things as it relates to her blessed
heart that she had been She died twice, they said,
(07:32):
in the hospital, and she was just grateful to be alive.
The one that got beat up her and her son.
And she said it just to hear her son say, Mama,
please help me, you know, she said, it was just,
you know, just hard dealing with that. All of that,
just the trauma and the pain behind it, call a
(07:54):
hold on for me. To hear the trauma that she
experienced behind that, and her child experienced behind that. She's
a sickle cell patient. People were saying that she was pregnant,
but she's not. But she is a sickle cell patient.
And to hear all the stuff that she was sick
for five weeks, no appetite, hospital, three times, her hemoglobin
(08:19):
was at two. Doctor said, asked her, how was she
still alive? The kids were picking on her son. He
was getting bullied because they were picking on the kids
because of her and what she's been dealing with and
her health.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Can you imagine?
Speaker 2 (08:41):
I can't. I can't imagine. I just wanted to give
you a little bit of update on that. The word
is she's she's fine. She was moved out of that neighborhood.
The kids are in a different school. The neighborhood came together.
There is a GoFundMe, and you know how it is
when something happens like this, it becomes like a national story,
all these fake folks doing a GoFundMe, and so she
(09:03):
had to come out and basically say, no, this is
my GoFundMe. So y'all be careful with you know, all
those gofundmes out there that you think. You know what
I'm saying, make sure before you start giving your money,
because you might be giving your money to somebody that
ain't got nothing to do with nothing, not a thing.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Will did y'all hear hmm? Man for Shelby County school Board.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah, they're talking about suing the Shelby County Commission. Now
that's the story that I'm hearing that they're talking about
doing that. I am not for that. I'm hoping that
they don't do that, but that is what I'm hearing
that they're talking about sue. I don't think that's a
(10:04):
good idea, and that's just me now, and you probably
saw a Fox thirteen said aligned the election cycle has
been contentions for several months since a new law this
year allowed the move. That new law came on the
heels of the MSCs board firing of former superintendent doctor
Marie Fagans. Those upset with that decision called on lawmakers
(10:27):
to give them a way to vote out board members.
And now it looks like the school board they voted
to hire outside legal counsel to sue the Shelby County
Commission over the election cycle changes. I don't think that's
(10:51):
a good idea. Caller, hold on for me. I don't
think that's a good idea, because you know the school board,
this is nothing personal. I don't have no dog to
fight with any of them. You know, Hey, I've seen stuff.
Y'all have seen stuff, and some of the stuff I've
seen I thought was interesting and we've talked about on
(11:14):
this show.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
But I.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
Think part of the reason why the community is so
upset with the board, and not just the board, with
elected officials in Memphis period, is because.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Of waste.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
People are tired of y'all suing each other because who's
paying for it. It's our money, is taxpayer dollars. So
I don't think it's a good move. I know y'all
are upset. There are board members that are upset because
(11:54):
they'll have to be re elected I think next year,
and they've only been in office for what two years
some of them.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
But I just don't think that's the right move. That's
me personally. I don't think it's the right move. Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
I did hear that the City of Memphis is not
going to spend the quarter of a billion dollars expected
to renovate the newly acquired Shearitan Hotel. Now, I did
hear that. I don't know what's gonna happen with that one,
but I did hear that one. M I thought that
was interesting. I got an email here and I wanted
(12:37):
to share something with you guys. My last story. We're
gonna get to that one in a second, but I
wanted to share this email with you. I lost my
job this summer, making six thousand dollars a month for
two years, I tied faithfully six hundred dollars every month,
didn't miss a beat.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
I looked at my check account.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
It was for thirty two months straight six hundred dollars
directly to the church.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I was a faithful tither do the math.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
That's nineteen thousand, two hundred dollars to be exact. A
few weeks ago I reached out to the church for
help to pay my power bill, which was three hundred
and twenty dollars. I just asked for two hundred dollars,
not the full amount, just two hundred dollars. I got
an email stating that at the moment, the church wasn't
(13:34):
in the position to help me out. And I said,
this man showed Nophe from Memphis because he said and
was listening to Bobby oj He said, man, bop going
to church. It ain't nothing but a scam. Now I
disagree with that, but this is what he said that
left a bad taste in my mouth. Luckily, yesterday I
(13:55):
got hired at a new job making seventy five one
hundred dollars a month, seven hundred dollars a month. That
would have been an extra one hundred and fifty dollars
in time. He said, I'll just save that's seven hundred
and fifty dollars per month just for hard times. I'm
(14:16):
through with going to church. I take that back. I'm
through with tithing. Do y'all tie that all? I want
to know. That's what this man said. Who I wonder
(14:36):
if he told his church and just just didn't go
tell the world or or share this with folks and
know the church, because man, this this, that's a teachable
moment for for somebody, for somebody, because I know a
lot of people probably feel that way. You know, you
you give, and you give, and you give and you give,
(14:56):
and you you need one or two times and ain't
nobody there.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
You get just period. Maybe not it's maybe it's not
to the church.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Maybe it's you know you're given, you given, you're giving,
You're always there. You're driving people to work, you're always
taking people for rising in your car down and you
can't even get one. That's how this man is feeling.
See what Mama, he sayin't going to church. We ain't
gonna die no more. That's what he said. And I
hope he changes his mind, cause in my opinion, you
(15:27):
don't tie for for for the for people or for
the church. You do that, but you find somewhere you
can go a place. Cause every.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
I say this delicately as I can.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Sometimes the ground you sow in your seed, then ain't
good ground.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Maybe it's just me, and no it ain't just me.
I know it ain't just me. Sometimes the ground ain't good.
Old on't call her. You need to get you to
some get to some better ground. Go to a church
where you can you know where you know it's gonna be.
You know, you got people, you got a community of
people who're gonna be there for you.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Hold on calling, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Yeah, anyway, I'm gonna get to some other things too
as we as we go along. But I did this
last thing, and I'm coming to these phones. I promise
you who I am. Came on a little late today.
I ain't mean to come home at eight to eight
after the hour. What was I doing anyway? Last thing?
So the guy at the mall, right, the video is out.
(16:41):
There's two angles of the video. A lot of the
news stations in the city have the video from what
happened in the mall.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
When you hear mijai mija when he shot that man.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
So there's a debate on social media after watching the video.
I watched it. Let me tell y'all what happened. From
what I saw, the man that got shot walked in
the shoe store okay or whatever kind of store it was.
He walks in, he goes directly to you're here, Okay.
(17:21):
There's a woman with him. They evidently had words. There
was really from the video, I could tell they didn't
really argue.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I guess they were just talking.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
And at one point he turns and says something to
the woman that was with You hear, because it looks
like the woman was pregnant that was with him, and
maybe he said, you know, come outside so we can talk.
Maybe I don't know, because you don't hear what they're saying.
You just see the video. He walks outside because you're
(17:53):
here said it was self defense. So this is the argument.
Is it self defense or is he gonna get them years?
They're talking about giving him fifteen to sixty year life sentence.
So they walk out, Well, the guy that was shot
(18:15):
and killed, he walked out first, and you hear. It
was still kind of in the store, and so the
guy slaps you hear. This is the second video, because
the first video you don't see this. The second video
you do. The guy slaps you hear, and he pulls
(18:39):
out the gun, and to me, it looked like you
pull out the gun before he even got out there.
It looked because I was like, what is in his hand?
So I got to go back and look at the
video myself so I can see what the world is
going on.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
You know what I'm saying, Call a hold on.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
So at any rate, the guy slaps you, hear, here's
got his gun, He shoots him, His girlfriend walks away
and then she politely you here goes you know, I
guess he said, come on, and she walks out with him.
(19:16):
They gone, they in the wind, and then he did
that video on social media saying it was self defense.
Do y'all think it was self defense after I've explained
to you what happened, or if you've seen the videos
for yourself. They're on social media. Honey, they were out
there before the media got them. I saw both of
them last nights, a bunch of them, you know what
(19:37):
I'm saying. So, yeah, is it self defense? Do y'all
think it's self defense? Because the guy slapped him first?
The guy was unarmed, by the way, the man who's
dead was unarmed. Okay, what do y'all think about it
(19:58):
hit me up and let me know.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Let's talk. I'm gonna take one caller and.
Speaker 2 (20:01):

money better than me. Now, this man been giving, And
I tell people all the time, you take that ten
percent and putting the savings account in one.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
Year and watch what you got.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
See that man had if he'd have been saving the
money in saving account. He took how much money they had?
Speaker 1 (21:21):

I know you ain't gonna do a Clyde. I know
you ain't gonna you could.
Speaker 5 (21:28):

Speaker 5 (21:37):
I passed and played onto the next name, and then
the lady gonna come back with the place again.
Speaker 6 (21:42):
I said, what you what you gonna do that?
Speaker 5 (21:45):
I said, now I'm going to receive. I ain't here
to give. Now. Now you want to give me some money,
I'll take it. There's the first time I don't hear
or something like this doing people give all all the
all the years, and then they come ask for all
he wanted to two hundred dollars and you're gonna tell
me that the church didn't have two hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
That was a slap in the faith.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
And I hope that taught him a listen because all
that money he gave to the church, and the church.
Speaker 7 (22:20):
Will living good all that money.
Speaker 1 (22:25):

Sound of wonderful as always? Good afternoon to you and

I wish that you know the story. When I heard
it speaking, I said to myself, it would be more
it would be more loving if we can get people
(27:52):
like her and talk about their parents, especially the fathers.
So we don't hear a lot on the station when
it comes to dads. I mean, if we do it,
it's a lot of negative. But we hear a lot
about moms. But when she says he was the best stand,
that was just you know that that was wonderful. Yeah,
was beautiful. I just like to hear that so stormy
(28:13):
real quickly I would listening to let's go back to
the lady who were who was jumped by the kids
up in Chicago. That's where it was, and my heart
went out to it. But everybody's not in the business
of sowing everybody.
Speaker 9 (28:28):
Like that.
Speaker 8 (28:29):
Now, I think, you no, I take him back, I
take her back, Uh the lady who is Yeah, yeah,
the lady had the baby, and you know she said
she she was just happy to have a healthy child.
And we know that racism still is alive and.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Well in America. And that's the way.
Speaker 8 (28:45):
That's the way it's probably gonna always be. And it's
a tough behavior, not a behavior that someone is born with.
So we got to look at there are gonna be
people like that that's gonna just despise. She just comes
to the color of your skin, on the way you talk,
the way you dress, or the way you wear your hair.
And I just hate it that it's like that. But Stormy, also,
(29:06):
let's pick it back on the what Clyde and you
were talking about. I feel the same exact way Clyde does.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Wait a minute, so you wait a minute. So I
was talking about the letter of the guy. Yeah, the
guy that was tithing. Hold on caller, the guy that
was tithing. And so that's what you're talking about.
Speaker 8 (29:23):
Yeah, that's exactly what. And people got to understand when
you read the Bible, tiding and gets some common monetary poems.
It coming on the form its doing things through Christ
or giving away things are like clothes or your time.
But church would make it seem like you have to
put money on the table. You don't put ten percent
of your money. It doesn't say that. It says ten
(29:46):
percent of the tide could be anything.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
But rather you don't understand it that way, is what
you're saying, because because you know a lot of people
do feel like that is what it says. But you're
saying you don't believe that's what it says.
Speaker 8 (30:00):
If you can prove to me otherwise that it says monetarily,
even though what Deesus said, what does Caesars give them
to Caesar's that's what he was talking about. So they're
talking about taxes.
Speaker 7 (30:10):
At the time. But that's that's a whole different part
For me.
Speaker 8 (30:15):
I'm the same. I'm not giving churches ten percent of
my my finances. I can do great by my fans finances,
but I tied and other means. I have other organizations
I will give money to or give time to, and
that is my tide. And Todd has blessed me tremendously,
so I'm not gonna complain. But when you let men
(30:36):
ain't your way to say, well, you gotta get two
percent of your money, he has he has them boozled you,
and my humble opinion, you can find otherwise that stuff finandentity.
As always thought me in loud, thank you for allowing
me to speak. I'm on you and everyone to have
a beautiful, blessed, safe and healthy days. But I do
agree with Tide on it. I mean I agree with
Clide on this. I've never fall for the okado.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Okay, thank you, thank you for Charles, appreciate you calling in.
W D I a hold on for me.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
I know some people believe the way they believe, you
know what I'm saying, and some you know, yeah, or
interpret because I think there are many different interpretations and
what I believe he did. I believe in tithing and
and and sewing seats and offering and all that good stuff.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
And ain't I ain't.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
No, ain't nothing nobody can do or say to make
me not believe it unless they can show me something
you know that I haven't already learned. But that's me,
that's me. So I ain't I ain't. I ain't taking
you to church. Well I kind of did it. Anyway,
Let's go to the uh uh, w D I a
(31:48):
hold on for me.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Let's go to this app and see what you're saying.
Then we're gonna get back to the phones. W Hello
a stormy.
Speaker 10 (31:54):
I'm talking about the guy who said he paid six
hundred dollars a month to go to church. He should
have been paying more than that. He got ninety percent
that he put in his pocket. God is only action
that you give ten percent when you go to church
and you can read your Bible and you got a
high ceiling. You know that ain't no bud that you
get from the dollar tree. Come on, church is the
only place you can go for a dollar. Take care, Stormy?
Speaker 2 (32:15):
All right, all right, now, all right, what do y'all think?
You are welcome to call in and share, you know,
how what you know? What you think about that question.
You can also email, You can call in or go
to the app. Tap that app. Let's see lawyer. What's
up lawyer? Hello, pretty lady, this is the Corvette Kid
(32:37):
informed mister Redwing and any other Memphis dapper that I
will be the sharpest man at the anniversary tomorrow night.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
I know that's right. Y'all coming up, y'all gonna fallo
up in there, ain't you? Yeah? He says, love your show,
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (32:56):
Kathy says even in greeting Stormy, I will not down
that young lady and her husband for not suing the hospital. However,
sometimes you got to step outside of your realm. And
think of others. Okay, fine, do not sue for yourself,
but sue for the future patients. That could have been
(33:16):
perfect timing to get justice for all those who were
rejected of being seen. It comes a point in time
where we have to stand up and declare your rights,
because if we continue to feed that type of discrimination,
we will never see results for our children. Love your
storm Love you, Kathy, all right, Tracy says tithing. Good afternoon, Stormy.
(33:41):
This is Tracy. I joined a particular church in Memphis
at twenty two years old. I started struggling at age
thirty eight, and I would still tithe. One particular day,
I called the church and told them that I needed
the tithe payment back I made online. So the finance
lady said she will able to give me my tithe back.
(34:01):
About five months later, I called back and said I
needed my tithe payment back again, and she said this
time she wasn't able to give it back to me.
I had to live off credit cards that month. So
the moral of a story is that I have to
take care of myself first. I don't struggle to pay
the whole tithe anymore. I'm really going to give what
(34:25):
I can not ever expecting it to get it back.
Ever since then, I decided still put God first, but
also take care of myself first. I also give what
I can without ever expecting it back. This is just
my experience. Thank you, stormy mm hmm. All right, now,
(34:46):
I would have soothed the pants off that hospital. African
consultants said that he would have sued the pants off
that hospital. That's the second case of that happening. Yeah,
second case. What in the world is really going on?
All right, let's go to the phones and see what
you guys are saying. W D I A Hello, what.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Is going on with you?
Speaker 6 (35:15):
You're out?
Speaker 1 (35:16):
It's a stormy day, it really is.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
It's all my fans and not my constituents. Good evening
told me I got three points in the lessons.
Speaker 7 (35:28):
You're okay?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
All right?
Speaker 4 (35:29):
First of all, about this about this incident at the mall.
And I'm no lawyer, and I don't play one on TV.
But if you don't have an exit, that's someone does
something to you. If you don't have an exit, that
doesn't sound like self defense.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
I'm no lawyer, so.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
It doesn't to me either, Jackson. It doesn't sound like
self defense to me. Either call or hold on. I'm
with you, Jackson.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
I don't. That's just my feeling.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
And I would feel a lot better on his Facebook
lives if he was very remorseful saying, oh my god,
what did I do?
Speaker 1 (36:12):
Oh god? You know, something like that, and he was not.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
No sid like I said, I'm no lawyer, no attorney,
and I don't play one on TV.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
But we'll see.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
And let me talk about this tithing thing that you
people are.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Oh, here we go.
Speaker 4 (36:35):
The Bible, the Holy Bible never said anything about ten
percent given.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Of your money.
Speaker 9 (36:43):
Never Now.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
Now you can prove me wrong on that, I will.
It seems like the only people that's pushing the tempersent
thing of a greedy preachers.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Hold on, call and hold on Jackson Jackson.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Yes, it does, because the Bible clearly says give out
of your heart, out of love. If you want to
give thirty percent, give thirty percent. The Bible cleill says,
do not give grudgingly or of necessity.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
People say I gotta.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Give my ten percent, that's out of necessity, And the
Bible clearer says, did not give out of necessity to you.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Is how you interpret it basically.
Speaker 7 (37:32):
So that's that's what it's.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
No, that's how you interpret it.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Everybody has has their own interpretation, and the interpretation that
you have, you know other people might not have.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
So you know what I'm saying. No, no, no, no, don't.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Because Jackson's always right.
Speaker 6 (37:51):
The Bible says.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
If the Bible says he that believes and is baptized
shall be saved, that's interpretation of baptism is essential for salvation.
Speaker 7 (38:05):
That's no interpretation that that's.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
What it says. But uh, you know, I could preach
on for.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
Days.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Hold that noise. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
Let me see what was that noise? Oh somebody emailing me.
They said please get Jackson off, And I'm just kidding.
They didn't say that.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
Yeah, I'll see thirty more minutes. Let's go, let's go
support ours and uh.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
They can have a good night. Thank you. I go,
I gotta go to referee. The child belive a good one,
all right? Bye, bye Jackson. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Miss Anita said, it's a shame that you go to
church and give your tithe and when it's time for
you to need help and they want help. I think
it have to do with who's over the election. That's
what she's saying. All right, listen, we're gonna take a
break and we're gonna come back and talk some more.
So you can tap in on that iHeartRadio app as
(39:09):
some of you have, and we'll go to the app
and read some more emails when we come back, and
you can call in. Got some lines that are open,
brother Bernard, Greg and Neil. Y'all, hold on. I'm coming
back to get you. But if you guys want to
get in here, come on in here. Nine o one
five three five, nine three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two eight three three five
(39:32):
three five nine three four two.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
We'll be back.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
We've got a full cash bar with snacks and small
bites for purchase. This is a cashless building, so you're
gonna need to use your debit or credit card now.
The T shirts are also twenty dollars cash while they last. Okay,
So that's the only thing you need cash for is
that is the T shirts. Everything else will be your
(39:55):
debit or credit card. Just FYI. All right, caught you
up on that big shout out to all my Malachi three, ten,
eleven and twelve people that shout out to you and.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
You and you.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
I did want to catch you all up on a
couple of things. We're going to go back to that
shooting that happened in the mall in a second, but
I do want to catch you up on something that
I learned today. I saw some conversation about the Shelby
County mayor's race and what are there now? Six candidates,
seven candidates in this race. Some of them will probably,
(40:33):
you know, drop out, some probably should drop out. But
in particular, yesterday we learned about Marie Fagins. So somebody
called yesterday and they mentioned that she they thought she
was running as an independent. Which is interesting because I
(40:57):
was I was looking at some conversation this morning on
social media from a Shelby County a former election commissioner
who's also in the Democratic Party and who knows a
lot about you know, people that can and cannot run
for office, and so we talked today. She mentioned that
(41:18):
because I saw her post, and I was like, what
are you trying to say? You know, talk to her
and say what's going on? You know, and there are
some criteria when you're going to run for those offices.
There's some criteria that everybody has to meet and it
could it could be you know, something that could bite
(41:40):
somebody in the you know what later on down the road.
But for doctor Fagan's it's interesting because does she meet
the criteria? This is what I've been seeing on social
media to even run for mayor of Shelby County, because
word is, to run you have to have been in
Memphis or Shelby County and have voted in three out
(42:01):
of five primaries. Okay, she hasn't been here long enough
to have done that. Now you only have to live
in you know, the area for a year to run.
So she meets that criteria.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
But if one of those candidates wants to push back
on her, they can. They probably can.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
And then she according to what we were read from
the papers and the news outlets, she pulled a ballot
as a Democrat, So you know, she may not be
able to run as a Democrat. And then that would
be up to the Democratics, the state Democratic you know,
(42:42):
the party out of the state to say if she
can or cannot.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
They have the last say.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
You know, they can send that information back to the
election commission and they can say, hey, well she can run,
but she can't run as a Democrat.
Speaker 1 (42:55):
And here's the other thing.
Speaker 2 (42:56):
If she doesn't run as a Democrat, does you get
your vote if she runs as an independent? For those
of you that have staunched to Democrats, will you basically
cross over and still.
Speaker 7 (43:13):
Vote for.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
Now? She could make history, That's what some people are saying.
She couldn't make history.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Some say if she's not, you know, a Democrat, you
know they won't vote for. But she couldn't make history
as a you know, as an independent candidate, And and
you know, I guess it would remain to be seen.
But y'all remember when John D. Berry roby him. I
(43:44):
think they call it being debonified as something like that.
I remember back when he was running. He was a Democrat,
and they said he always voted with the Republicans, and
so they they basically kicked him out of the Democratic
Party and he ran as an independent, remember him. He lost,
(44:05):
and I believe Tory Harris got that seat. So it's
gonna be interesting to see what happens. And they all
might be in a run for the money, all of them,
not just whoever the front runner is, but her too.
(44:31):
So twenty twenty six is gonna be a doozy y'all
thought twenty twenty five, go me some twenty twenty six,
back to be a doozy. Okay, let's get back to
the man who was in wolf Chase Gallery at who
was in the mall and shot the murdered a man
in that mall.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
So here's what the video. This is a video. You
can hardly hear it. He walked up to the you're
here and they're talking.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
They're doing it kind of slick because you know, evidently
the girl that was with him, you hear, uh, she
looked over and and and they were they got they
had words, okay, and so you hear his dude is
in his face a little bit the kind of chilled.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
But they saying some things and each other. You know
what I'm saying. You're here showing him some things. He
telling him some things.
Speaker 2 (45:27):
And Jude said, come on outside, me me outside.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
He going outside.
Speaker 9 (45:33):
You're here, m and and in the video kind of
you don't see anything from this angle.
Speaker 11 (45:46):
Shooting happens. Girlfriend runs and yeah, so self defense.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
Is what he's saying. But he rub well, all right,
let's get back to these phones. See what y'all talking
about today?
Speaker 3 (46:10):
W d I A Hello, Hello, how there, Hey there,
thankful We'm on hold about two hours.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
It didn't kneel. It happens. I hate to tell you,
it happens.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
I know, I know, I know. But thank you for
staying there.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Thank y'all, all of you that hold on and and
you know your patient.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
I really do appreciate you. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (46:34):
I appreciate it too, because I miss I want to
at the work out trying to do it, and I
got you in my ear one thing.
Speaker 7 (46:39):
I had to put you back off the own speaker.
Speaker 5 (46:41):
But it's all good.
Speaker 7 (46:43):
Yeah, I was just okay, shout out to my partner, Hey.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
Was up, glad. This is Neil clad he knows me.
Uh no, glad, but uh back on.
Speaker 7 (46:51):
Those pimp preachers. Now, I don't have this, you know
what that is a good the.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
Way the way you're tith and everything and everything, and
then when you need something that they don't have it
to help you out.
Speaker 7 (47:07):
You know, I mean, like I said, I.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
Mean you could have saved them in the bank that
you have a lot of money in your pocket, you
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (47:15):
So, but we all look at it. Ain't trying a
bathroot preacher. Because I listened to a pastor. He's pretty fair.
Speaker 3 (47:21):
But my thing is storm me if I got a
hundred out in my pocket, the Lord and already blessed me.
You know what I'm saying, I'm already blessed. I'm not
gonna give to anybody else and say, well, you're gonna
get blessed to get to me and you're gonna be blessed. Now,
it's not how it works, but uh, you know, so
it's just another situation where as you know, I know
(47:43):
people are saying, well they got people who have some
blah all that, you know what I'm saying, But you
know they got a nice houses, nice parts and everything
that I knocking anybody, But that's you know, it is
what it is for me. That's the same situation when
you did all that we said with nineteen thousand.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Yeah, when he added it up, yeah, that's what he is.
Speaker 7 (48:04):
Yeah, and then he wanted two hundred. Yeah, and they
told me, and they're gonna tell you we can't do it.
They gonna do the other thing. They always say, we're
gonna pray.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
Play probably, but they definitely. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:18):
So I had to say, so, y'all, I wish I
could be I could be at the badge tomorrow and
all that.
Speaker 7 (48:24):
But I love y'all. I hope you'll have a good time.
Speaker 2 (48:26):
Thank you, Neil, we love you bad Thank you all right?
By bye, so sweet. We wish you could be there
as well.
Speaker 7 (48:34):
W d I A hello, Hey Stormy?
Speaker 9 (48:37):
How you doing?
Speaker 4 (48:38):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (48:38):
I'm good brother Bernard.
Speaker 3 (48:39):
How are you.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
Doing?
Speaker 12 (48:41):
Will Stormy? You know what.
Speaker 7 (48:44):
On the you know, well, I will say this.
Speaker 12 (48:46):
I heard from the people today and they say that
Marie Sagan's will be the Chabby County mayor coming up.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
And you know they wait a minute, Wait a minute,
Wait a minute. What people you hear that from? Hold
on call what people you hear that from?
Speaker 12 (49:03):
Well, you know what, distinguished persons that seem to be
well informed as far as certain perspectives. And what I
will add to that, and what was pointed out to
me storm there was a no brainer, which was when
you have someone that cares about the children, that should
tell you that you have someone that cares about the future.
(49:26):
And as the future is inevitable, we might need to
brand an opportunity for those persons who are concerned about
the future. Because when you corrupt, you're not concerned about
the future, But when you're dealing with the children. This
could probably be a saving grace per se. But I
(49:50):
tell you this on another note, we know that we
don't need people who are protesting police presence. We see
that that's one of the candidates. We know we don't
need people who are just holding golf tournaments for rich
well to people that that, that's a no brainer. So
when you start the process of elimination Storm, it starts
(50:12):
to narrow down and you put your thinking head on.
And as my grandmother you say, you have to use
your head for more than.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
A correct Hang up there, you go, Let me ask
you this question. Let me ask you a question, because
you brought it up. How well, because you you spoke
some you said some powerful things. Then how well you Okay,
so you know these people, But how well really do
(50:39):
you know Marie Fagins.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
Do you feel like you know her well enough to
say what she will or won't do?
Speaker 8 (50:51):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (50:53):
And you don't even have to answer that. I'm just
asking because of what you said.
Speaker 12 (50:58):
Yeah, but you know what, that's that's probably part of
the issue of Storm is that we these other people
are compromised by personal relationships. You know, you know, because
when that question comes up, how well do you know
this person personally?
Speaker 5 (51:12):
That that might be part of.
Speaker 12 (51:14):
The problem that we already have now because there are
other people that have made promises that I have yet
to see uh them deliver on it.
Speaker 7 (51:23):
But I can see, I can see what people are
