Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a Heart and Soul of Memphis ten seventy wd
(00:03):
IA Memphis, and.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
We are back on the September twenty fifth. Happy National
Daughter's Day to all the daughters out there. Years. It's
your day daughters, so that means it's my day too.
I'm somebody's daughter. Yeah, listen, let me let me get
(00:27):
to a few of these emails here. Okay, Well, Jackson,
looks like I got some plumbers for you. A great plumber,
let's see. They said. His name is Larry Good and
cost effective.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
He also says I would move to western Mississippi near
the river, thinking about it seriously, getting a little farm.
Don't move to eastern Mississippi though, them Sundowntown's there okay.
Also said Stan Done turned his show into church. Huh.
I'm not sure what that means anyway. This one comes
(01:03):
from young Chad. Hey, Chad, are you doing today? Talking
about scammers, he said, I cannot believe Stephen Pincot was
fourteen fourteen? Really? Oh, bless his heart, Stephen. That's too
easy anyway, Stormy people need to be aware about using
their credit debit cards at fast food places or restaurants.
(01:24):
I used my card at a drive through window, and
the lady took my card and was gone from the
window for a while. I really didn't think anything about
it until I instantly started getting charges from walmart dot
com and other online shopping places. I filed the police report,
and the officer told me that they have been using
(01:45):
machines to run your card through and get your account
number and pen Be careful, Stormy. You're absolutely right. I
went to the store today, get me a little salad,
so I'm trying to, you know, eat right, get me
a little salad. You know, I'm getting back into the jeans. Yeah,
you know them jeans genuine. I was talking about it
in those jeans. Anyway, I'm getting back into them. Got
(02:08):
some I'm on today, and I was like, thank you Lord,
because I'm eating right, you know what I mean. Right,
I'm getting my water in. I got my water right
here with me. It's it's that of alkaline and electrolyte water. Anyway,
that was a reminder of me to tell somebody drink
some water. You've been drinking too many sodas and all that.
Drink you some water. You know you're supposed to be
(02:29):
drinking water. Your doctor told you to anyway back to me.
So I go to the window at this place, right,
I'm not gonna give the name of the place. I
go to the window. She holding onto my car, like,
wait a minute, hold up, I'm watching them because I
don't take my eyes off of young Chad. I don't
take my eyes off this girl. You're here, uh. And
(02:51):
she talking and talking about the salad because the salad
prices doesn'et went up at these stalls. The same salad
used to cost me six seven bucks because had no
meat on it. It's just a starting salad almost ten dollars.
So she talking and she think, I ain't I'm watching.
I won't say my eyes was watching. She was talking.
(03:14):
I was listening to her, but my eyes was watching
my card, and I saw my card go up, and
I was like, what is my card doing over there?
Because she had just run it in the machine. Okay.
Then I saw she was grabbing the receipt. I said, okay,
but I got my eyes on you. Uh uh. You
can't go nowhere with my receipt and think I ain't
(03:35):
watching it. Y'all, Chad, thank you so much. You do
have to be careful when you go to places because
that's how you gotta get us. I told y'all the
other week about that DBT scam that was going on
at one of the grocery stores around here. Good Dade, honey,
they scamming you. You watch your card and watch your
pen even when you go to the gas station. A
(03:56):
lot of times I don't even use the machine outside
at the gas station, you know, the pumps, because you
know they put SAM scammers on them things. I go
inside here. How you doing I need some gas? I
run my own card, you know what I'm saying. So, yeah,
be careful please when you're when you're going to use
those machines. Anthony Benson says, just tell little Daddy to
(04:17):
go to the wd I a talkback feature, and uh yeah,
he could do that. You could, little Daddy, if you
want to use the talkback feature. That way, you won't
have to worry about us saying you know, or not
being able to hear you. You can use the talkback
feature and all you do is download the app and
you tap the red microphone. You can talk and send
(04:38):
a message that way as well. Yeah, you can do that.
Lady d uses it all the time. Let me go
to these phone lines w Di I A hello.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Ay that beautiful farmy. Hey William, how you doing doing
pretty good?
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (04:52):
On the the biggest cases, we've had some business, but
young Dolphs was the biggest. And I would say that
he was almost a made man in the criminal world.
And why I say that is because because they shut
down a interstate that goes from coast to coast. They
(05:14):
shut that down looking for his Now not they're not
going to do that against anybody. You have to be
presidential level almost for them.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
To shut the inner state down.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Wow, looking for a killer.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Oh yeah, that's big, that's big, big time. And with
the Tyree Nichols case, I just wonder because they were
too loose with beating him that way, like they had
done it a thousand times, and so they had done that,
They've done that a whole.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Bunch of times, and so that's what happened with that.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
But yeah, the the Young Dolphs, he was almost and
this is the name that you know, I guess this
in every country. You know, when you call the made man,
we'll know that that is on the criminal side. And
even the FBI can't touch you. So they allowing criminals
to run free and you can't touch them because they
(06:11):
are made man. So that shows that the government and
the criminal enterprise working together, you know, and and they
just you know, they they've agreed not to do certain things.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Another thing about the Young doctings is immediately those that
were involved were starting to get knocked out. Got his
brother and this that a bunch of people started getting
knocked out real fast. Then the families were threatened to
be wiped out unless these guys came forward and told
(06:45):
the truth of what happened. And that's why they're there now.
Otherwise their whole families would have been wiped out. But yeah,
young doctor is the biggest love your love, your ust.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Me will Wow, William, dropping knowledge, ain't it?
Speaker 3 (07:02):
I do?
Speaker 2 (07:02):
So? I didn't know any cut down shut down the
whole inter state. Mmm mmmmm. Yeah, that's deep. Somebody emailed
me and they said or text me and they said,
James Earl Jones trial was that held here? Yeah, it
was not one of the biggest of this decade, but
(07:23):
I guess you know, you could if that was a
big one. For sure. That was a big one in
its day for sure. And what William said about criminal
enterprises and made men and all that stuff made me
think about this this app. Have y'all heard of the
app called Telegram? Yeah, well, Telegram has announced the company
(07:48):
is going to begin turning over phone numbers, IP addresses,
and email addresses of anyone suspected of illegal activity because
word is honey, this popular messaging app was has been
used for illegal activities including drug trafficking, child pornography, and
money laundering. And uh, they've been trying to get hold
(08:13):
of this app for years and now they got The
man who owns it says, okay, he's finally ready to
work with him. We will be some things going on
that you don't know, ain't it. M M Misster del
Berra said, don't use your card at these corner stores
with a stick ash tray. I didn't.
Speaker 6 (08:38):
Know.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
She said, they slick ash tray. I didn't curse, now storming,
Now you didn't curse. You just have to be careful,
Will you just be careful no matter what you're doing.
I know some people can't go inside when it comes
to you know, pumping gas outside. You just you just
have to be careful when you're you know, trying to
you know, pump your gas. Yeah, w D I a Hello,
(09:00):
Oh they're storming.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
Now are you today? Are you this Friday?
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
You know.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I got an email about you gonna get you.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Somebody say you ain't never coming out of the sinkhole. Ever,
I don't care, you don't even care.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
Let me say a few words for you.
Speaker 5 (09:21):
First of all, little Daddy, the reason they cut you
off because you don't be on subject.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
He was unbathed.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
They were talking about cars, and you're talking about I
put this goon. Don't nobody I want to hear that
every time you call, talk about the subject. And I'm
quite sure they wouldn't like to let you talk a
little longer, but they don't.
Speaker 7 (09:39):
Want to hear that rhetoric. You got a couple of words,
you say.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
Oh the goon, sinkhole and simple thing.
Speaker 7 (09:47):
Get some knowledge to learn to talk about the subject.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
They had the doctor on.
Speaker 7 (09:51):
You call them come by goons. And I just want
to let you know, little Daddy, that, uh, we've already
surveyed that sinkhole on Horned Lake and we're gonna put
a new dance floor down there. We got these lights
we're gonna be putting up, and everybody, Hey, it's gonna
be grand open. It's gonna be on Halloween, throwing me
and a golden girl gonna be there, No we anybody.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Else that wants to come.
Speaker 7 (10:14):
Y'all gonna be there.
Speaker 6 (10:16):
See I told you at least one mm hmm.
Speaker 7 (10:20):
You always gotta keep standing in doing nothing, nothing wrong
on him. He just told him, hey, hurry up, you
know he'll say something, and then he want to say something.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Quick.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
Lead the goons and the.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
And the simple facts out and talk about the subject.
I guarantee you they'll let you talk a little bit longer.
With that. You have a great day, and we're looking
forward to seeing you a golden girl Halloween down.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
At the club.

so much and they are some of the greatest gifts
guards ever given. There. Yeah, absolutely that includes my boys.
(12:07):
But because the girls daughters say national daughters. Oh yeah.
So much going on in the city, you know, and
especially around the election time where we're getting close to it.
I just play that our people really begin to open
up and really put emphasis where it ought to be,
and that's honoring our people, honoring each other, honor our ancestors,
(12:31):
learn more about our history and culture, and then let's
start doing the right thing and helping others to do
the right things because we're in a bad situation in
America right now.
Speaker 7 (12:40):
Now.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
You said a mouthful Norman, and I appreciate you saying
that you're right. Yeah, yeah, we got we gotta.
Speaker 6 (12:47):
I'm I'm a firm believer that we're gonna get there.
We can do better, We just gotta. We just gotta
put our the most high way he deserved to be
and that's high and in our whole life and each
other and love each other. And you know, stop putting
it by the sinkhold.
Speaker 2 (13:09):

(15:35):

MS Coacher said, Hey, Stormy, he wanted to talk about
little Daddy staying on subjects, and he turned right around
(16:30):
and started talking about the sinkhole he will never get out,
but he said he didn't care, and how do they
plan it? All kinds of stuff down in the sink hole.
But the daddy said, they can't do that because he
built that sink ole and it ain't no nice place.
That's what he said.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
W D I A hello, hello miss Stormy.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Hey young, how you doing.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
I'm doing pretty good.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (16:55):
I'm doing good? Good, happy National Daughter's Day.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Well, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
Somebody.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yes, I think they're.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Proud and I'm adopting you as mine.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
So yes, right, that's the wonderful.
Speaker 6 (17:14):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
I'm honored.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Talk to me, young, August. What's going on?
Speaker 3 (17:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (17:21):
I just heard you talking about the scams, and I
thought to myself, this is it is crazy. It's it's
bad out here. I'm kind of young, and the stuff
that I see, even just at work, it's ridiculous. I
know people think that it's you should know better, but
people are clever, even with AI. As as this continues
to advance, it's going to get worse, you know. On
(17:44):
on my job, I constantly have customers flagging me down
or leaving messages because they got to ask me a
question concerned the attens that they got, and almost every
time it's a scam, and I tell them we don't
send this messages because in what it is it's a
link saying that they have a paggage they need to
be picked up. Yeah, and I tell them what, we
(18:06):
don't send tests. If you get an email, it may
be us, but it was a test, it's never us.
And then they've even got so smart to where you
get mailings in the mail box with QR codes on them,
and those QR codes are oftentimes embedded with viruses and
people scan the cards thinking that it's safe, but oftentimes
(18:29):
it's loaded.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
With a virus. Oh so that's another one. Thank you
for making us aware of that. Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
If you don't know who it's coming from, don't scan
the QR code, go straight to the website. But the
QR codes are websites.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
You go straight to a virus.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
Yeah, if it's a lot.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
And the last thing with the credit card issue, I
have that a lot, But years ago I stopped using
my debit card because of that debit card. You know,
if it's hacked or someone takes a picture and use it,
that's your money. But I start using a credit card
almost completely versus debit card, because if your credit card is.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
Hacked, are stolen, you can get the.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
Money and counsel that exactly, and it's so much easier.
So I'll rather be my credit card than debit card. So,
I mean, it's nowhere around it. I use credit card
almost everything.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
But I rather be that over my debit card.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Yeah, it's just so much.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Just be aware and ask questions from somebody else before
you just click on in and think that it's safe.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
That's a lot of stuff it's not safe.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Yeah, yeah, thank you, thank you for sharing that.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Yes, ma'am, I a wonderful.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Thank you so much, you too, Young August happy National
Daughter's Day. Just adopted her as my daughter. Yeah, you
know where you're good will and good times the radio station.
And it's always good to share information like that because
it's necessary. And I saw this guy on social media.
I see you guys on hold, I'm coming to you.
This guy is a fed Ex driver and people are
(20:05):
calling him a hero. Listen to what he did.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Yeah, oh no, no, who are you?
Speaker 7 (20:12):
No?
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Open the door. He's dropping off a package. There's a
guy that comes up. He says he's trying to get
the package. He said he lives there, and he said, no,
open the door.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
No, I don't know, I'm gonna hey, what's going on?
Speaker 2 (20:37):
So he's walking to the to the guy got his
information and everything. Yeah, that's the fed Ex driver. That
man is a hero black man too. By the way,
looks like it's maybe somewhere in California where that happened.
But guys, just I mean, the guy gets out the
car to get the packages before the man even drops
(20:58):
them off. That's one reason right there. I'm scared to
have my packages dropped off at the crib. You know
what I'm saying, a hello, hello, Jormy. Hey, how you
doing Miss Cassandra?
Speaker 9 (21:12):
Fine, how you doing? I'm just checking in, Jerry. You know,
you are an awesome person and you are awesome. I
love this shell, but you are awesome. You're running this
sure like Stormy supposed to running.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Thank you, Miss Cassandra.
Speaker 9 (21:29):
So if you're getting in the think hold don't worry man,
because you.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Running it.
Speaker 8 (21:35):
Well.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
I'm told you. Oh, thank you, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Yeah, and you have a good Evening's.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
So sweet to check in to just tell me that
I appreciate you, all right, Sam, it happen not national
door to day now, thank you, miss Cassandra, and to
you as well. All right, all right, bye bye? Ain't
that sweet? Don't you just love miss Cassandra Man I
love her?
Speaker 3 (22:05):

Speaker 3 (22:43):
That that that young lady, That young lady has so
much wisdom it's crazy and we all know they lived
at They don't like no wisdom.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Stop at Denver now, see not Denver now now you

Speaker 3 (23:05):

And thanks taking a call.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Just wanted to call us.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
They love you, love your show.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Wow, this is this is historic, This is going down
in history. I got to bring back up to Diana Rosss.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
There we go.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Thank you, Denver, God bless you. Hey, come on, Diana,
he can be shining. Come on, little daddy grabbed Jackson's hand. Yeah,
(25:16):
I'm on Genverer. If you see you get on the
other side of the little daddy in the street. I'm
gonna give us side you. Come on, harry O, harry O,
grab my hands. Yes, Golden girl, come on, you see
it's some boom. Yes, honey, been a long time. It's
(25:44):
been a long time, baby since. I mean, y'all, y'all
are bringing it ron, mister red Wing, thank you. Marcus
kicked that thing off, didn't he? And and and and Denver.
Oh y'all, y'all, don't bless me today on nashe Daughter's day.
It's a good day, it really is.
Speaker 7 (26:04):
You know.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Before I'm in a minute, I'm gonna get to I'm
gonna get to our classic TV throwback. But I just
wanted to throw a thing, few things out there, you know,
every now and then I get to, you know, give
you a little something to help you live longer and strong,
all that good stuff. Anyway, So I wanted to give
you this, these things because this I don't think these
things are just a marriage, but these things are true
(26:28):
for a relationship. They're like tips, Like there's like ten
of them, and y'all tell me what you think about them. Okay,
I think they're good. And here's some ten don'ts to
obey in your relationship or your marriage. Okay, ten don'ts
to obey some good stuff. Listen to this. First one
(26:50):
is don't play games. Don't do it. Don't do it.
It'll mess up a relationship. Every time you start playing
games with people in their lives. It'll mess up a
relationship every time. Avoid playing games like hard to get,
(27:12):
giving the silent treatment, first, to call, first, to chat,
mind games, etc. It leads to misunderstandings and hurt feelings. Okay,
that's number one in relationships or marriage, all right. Number two,
don't assume. Don't assume you know what your partner is
(27:34):
thinking or feeling. Instead, communicate openly and ask questions for clarity.
How many times I know I'm guilty of this. How
many times have you been in a you know, a
friend or a relationship, sister, brother, whatever, and you assumed
they meant this when they said it, and they didn't.
(27:55):
Don't assume. Number three, don't criticize. Avoid criticizing your partner,
and focus on constructive feedback that helps them grow. Don't criticize.
Number four. Don't compare. That's a big one right there
to me. Don't compare your partner to others, as every
(28:19):
person is unique and special in their own way. Number five,
don't lie. That's a big one too. Some of y'all
be lying, some of y'all be lying through all thirty
two of your teeth, not just the two front tee,
(28:40):
but all thirty two. Honestly or honesty rather is essential
in a relationship. Avoid lying to your partner, even if
it's hard to tell a truth. But you know, if
she asks you, do I look good in this drifts?
(29:00):
I was gonna add this. Now you you better lie
if you know what I mean. Okay. You don't want
to be in self conscious, you don't want to feel
in this way or that way. Okay, So it's certain things. Yeah,
when you get yeah, maturity'll teach you some of these things. Anyway,
here's the next one. Don't ignore conflicts. People that ignore
(29:27):
conflicts never get anything solved. You have got to confront
something that you are dealing with in relation. You got
to confront it or you'll it'll be unhidden until somebody's
drank too much or they get hurt, and then it
comes out and sometimes it'll come out in front of
(29:47):
the whole family, and you don't want that. So don't
ignore the conflicts. Deal with them. Don't avoid conflicts or
sweep them under the rug. Instead address them head on
and work towards us solution. I shouldn't. Okay, that's for y'all.
Confrontational not confrontational folks. Folks that don't like confrontation. You
(30:08):
don't like to argue, you don't like to do none
of that. Well, you know, I guess confrontation gets a
bad rap because all confrontation isn't arguing. Sometimes confrontation is
just saying, I just want to be clear about what
you're saying. You know what I'm saying, and you got
to be sober when you do it. Don't try to,
you know, confront somebody when they drunk. Let's go to
(30:32):
number seven here. Don't take your partner for granted. Show
appreciation and gratitude for your partner. And don't assume they'll
always be there. Oh, don't assume they'll always be there.
We say this with other people in the back. Don't
(30:53):
assume they'll always be there. Don't take them for granted.
I know some some times. You know, I heard a
pastor preach a message. He said, when people take you
for granted, sometimes it's a compliment because that means you're dependable.
You know, it means that you're you're the one that's
always there. And it's people that are dependable, the good
(31:16):
people that are often taken for granted. But being taken
people for granted ain't a good thing. Trust me. I
know I've done it before, and it's been done to me.
It don't feel good either way. So today might be
that day to pick up the phone tell somebody I'm
so sorry I took you for granted. Else when I
(31:39):
get home. Here's number eight. Don't overthink. Oh my goodness, women,
we're bad at this. We do this all the time.
Try not to overthink things too much, as it can
lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. Sometimes, learn to overlook
some things, Like the other night when I was having
computer issues. I stayed up all night trying to figure
(32:02):
it out because I was like, I just know it's
it's not me, it's the computer. It's you know, And
I kept blaming myself. I was like, oh my god,
I don't know what I'm doing. And then I thought
about it. Now it ain't you, it's the computer, that's
But I stayed up trying to figure that thing out
and wasted my night worrying and stressing about something that
was gonna be there tomorrow when I got up. So
(32:24):
don't overthink it. Don't bring up the past. That one's
hard to do, but don't do it. Avoid bringing up
past arguments or mistakes. Focus on moving forward and growing together.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
All right.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Number ten, it's a big one right here. This is
a big one. Number ten. Don't lose yourself. Remember to
maintain your own identity and interest in a relationship. Don't
lose yourself and your partner. You lose yourself. I hate
(33:04):
to say it, sometimes you set yourself up for failure
or for being taken a grant for granted, because you know,
we forget we had a life before the partner came along.
And maybe that's the one thing that your partner loved
about you, that you you know, you didn't forget that
you had a life and you were a human all
(33:27):
by yourself. Don't lose yourself. Remember to maintain your own
identity and interest in your relationship. Don't lose yourself and
your partner. They say, if you'll obey those ten don'ts
and watch your relationships, you you you actually will watch
them grow. Okay, let me get to it this classic
(33:50):
