Today's Word 01-07-25 A New Way of Seeing Yourself

It's your early morning praise party. I am Shery Mackie,
and it's time right now for today's word, a new
way of seeing yourself. Exodus thirty eight and eight says
they made the bronze basin and its bronze stand from
the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance

(00:20):
to the tent of meeting. You know, after the Israelites
were delivered from slavery and were in the wilderness, they
had a large tent or tabernacle where they met for worship.
Before the priests could go into the altar area, they
had to cleanse their hands and feet in a large
bronze basin of water that had made or had been

(00:43):
made from the mirrors their Egyptian captors had given the
Israelite women when they left. Well. Mirrors in that day
were made out of highly polished bronze and were very,
very valuable. But unfortunately, every time the women looked in
those mirrors, they saw defeated slaves staring back at them,

(01:04):
reminding them of how unfeared was, how inferior they were.
God was saying, give me those mirrors. I'm melting down
any image, the shame, the heartache, the guilt, the unworthiness
that does not reflect who I made you to be.
The next time you see the mirrors, they're going to

(01:24):
be in a bowl for cleansing. I'm giving you a
new way of seeing yourself as righteous, as holy, as blameless,
as fearfully and wonderfully made in My likeness, in my image.
God is saying the same thing to you today. So
see yourself as He seems you. Oh Father God, thank

(01:44):
you that we can give you the image of how
we see ourselves and begin to see ourselves the way
that you see us, as blessed, as prosperous, as healthy,
as strong, as talented, as successful. Help us God to
get the negative images out of our head and a
fresh new vision in We believe that our vision will
become our reality in Jesus' name. Now, that's your word
