Today's Word 01-08-25 Sovereign Lord

It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
and his time for today's word. Sovereign Lord tewod Samuel
seven eighteen says, then King David went in and said
before the Lord and said, who am I, Sovereign Lord?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
And what is my family that you have brought me
this far?

Speaker 1 (00:22):
You know, David was looking back over his life, thinking
how did I get to where I am today? I
was a shepherd and now I'm a king, I'm respected,
I have a lasting dynasty. He was saying, it could
only be one thing, the Sovereign Lord.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Five times in the.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Next few verses, he refers to God as sovereign. He says,
Sovereign Lord, you have promised good things to me. Can
I tell you that the Sovereign Lord has good things
for you as well? And here's the good news. It's
not based on how well you perform. It is not
based on who likes you and what family you come from,

or what the economy is doing right now or who's
in office.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
There are blessings.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
There are breakthroughs that God has already written in your
life's plan. Instead of worrying thinking that is never gonna happen,
trying to earn it. Why don't you do like David
did and say, Sovereign Lord, thank you for the good
things that you have in store for me.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Thank you for choosing me before I could choose you.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Thank you for not depending on my performance, my faith,
of my circumstances, but blessing me because of your goodness.
Thank you, Sovereign Lord, Father God, Thank you for being
on the throne, for reigning and sovereign over our health,
over our finances, over our family, over our circumstances. Thank

you that you are our provider, our healer, and our weightmaker.
You're our deliverer.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
God.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
We declare that we are where we are today because
of your sovereignty. You could do what you want to,
win you want to how you want to, and you
can be trusted in Jesus' name.
