Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
in his time. Right now for today's word praise and
pray bold prayers.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Second Chronicles twenty and six.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
As Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not
the God who is in heaven?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
You rule over all the kingdoms of the nation. Power
and might are in your.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Hands, and no one can withstand you. Many times when
the people faced a big challenge in the Old Testament,
they started their prayers by talking about the greatness of God.
In today's scripture, King Jehosaphad had three armies surrounding Judah.
He gathered the people at the city square in Jerusalem
(00:44):
to seek God. He didn't say, God, where are you,
We're about to be captured. He said, Lord, you alone
are God. You are the ruler of the nation. You
are powerful and mighty. No one can stand against you.
We remember how you're brought us through war, through famine,
through disease. Now we're asking you, oh Great God, to
(01:05):
deliver us from these mighty armies.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
See, when you remind.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yourself of who you're dealing with, you won't pray those
weak prayers.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
You'll pray bold prayers.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
You'll ask God to do the impossible, what seems unlikely.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Those are prayers that get God's attention.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
The people of Judah didn't even have to fight, y'all.
After that prayer, the enemy's armies actually turned on each
other and defeated themselves. Come on, Jesus, where will you
be in ten years if you do like Jehosaphat did
and you start praising God and thanking him for who
he is, acknowledging who he is, and praying those bold prayers.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Oh Father God, thank you that you.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Are a great, great God in heaven and nothing is
too hard for you. You're the ruler of the nation you
are fighting mightyles. Thank you for how you go beyond
our request and exceed our expectation. God, we believe that
you will do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask,
think or even imagine.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Who in Jesus name. Come o Jesus. Now that's your
word for today.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I want you to take that apply to your everyday
life and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. Here
on your early morning praise party with me, your girl,
Sherry Mackie
