Today's Word 01-27-25 The Gift of Today

It's your early morning praise party.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
today's word, the gift of today. Colossians three and two says,
and set your minds and keep them set on what
is above, the higher things, not on the things that
are on the earth. At the start of the day,
you need to set your mind. When you get out

(00:23):
of bed, you need to say, Father, thank you for
the gift of this day. I'm gonna choose to be happy,
to be the best, to be a blessing to others.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
I'm going to live this day till the full.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I'm gonna choose to rejoyce and be glad in this day. See,
if you don't set your mind, the enemy's gonna set
it for you. You'll wake up and think about all
the problems you got, everything that's gonna wrong, y'all. Don't
start your day off negative. The word goes on to
say keep it set. That implies things are going to

(00:53):
happen that'll try to unset it, so to speak. Challenge
is delays, rude people, doors that close in your face.
You can't stop that from happening, but you can choose
not to let it get inside of you and unset
your mind to get you frustrated, to get you mad
and upset.

To ruin your day.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
You could get upset and disappointed, but your mind is set.
You realize that today is a gift from God. You say, God,
I trust you, and I know you wouldn't have let
this happen unless you got something better in store from me.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Keep your mind stayed on here him.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Realize what a distracts you is simply that undistraction. Stay
full of praise, keep expecting good things, keep believing for
what God promised. Realize that every single day is a
gift from God, filled with possibilities and promises from his word.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Oh Father, God, thank you for the gift of today.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
We will choose to be our best because God, you
made this day. Thank you that we could be steady,
that we can trust in You and we meet challenges
knowing God that you have a.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Good plan for our lives.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
God, We're gonna keep praising you and expecting nothing but
great things in Jesus' name.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Now that's your word for today.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Take it applied to your everyday life, and you continue
to be encouraged and inspired.
