Today's Word 01-28-25 Look Back at the Faithfulness of God

It's your early morning praise party.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time right now for
today's word. Look back at the faithfulness of God. Second
King's nineteen thirty five says that night the Angel of
the Lord went out and put to death one hundred
and eighty five thousand in the Assyrian camp. In Second

(00:22):
King's twenty soon before King, Hezekiah received a promise of
healing from God and then asked for a sign of assurance.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
He had seen the greatest victory of his life.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
The powerful Assyrian army was about to attack Jerusalem, but
when Hezekiah prayed and asked God to help them, that
very night and angel destroyed one hundred and eighty five
thousand Assyrian soldiers.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Hezekiah and the people of Judah were spared.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Come, oh, Jesus, You would think Hezekiah wouldn't need a
sign for his promise healing.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
He had just seen a super natural victory.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
But how often do we forget what God has done,
just like he did when Hezekah. God has shown up.
He's turned things around for us. He's healed us, he's
protected us, he's freed us, he's promoted us.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Come on, Sherry Mackie. Listen.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
If you need a sign, look back at the goodness
of God in your life. Look back at how he
gave you strength. Look back at how he promoted you
and gave you favor and bless us.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Look back at how he healed you, how he turned
your child around.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Look back at how he restored your marriage or your
family relationship.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Look back at how he brought someone great into your
life to love you.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
When you need evidence, all you need to do is
look back at the faithfulness of God. Come own, Jesus Father,
Thank you for the history that we have with you,
for the mercies that you've shown in our lives. Thank
you that we can remember your constant goodness and every
victory you've given us. God, we declare your faithfulness is

all the evidence we need.
