Today's Word 09-09-24 Who's Walking With You

It's a family day on your early body praise party,
a marvelous Monday, and I am Sherry Mackie at his
time for today's word, who's walking with you? Look twenty
four to twenty seven says, and beginning with Moses and
all the prophets, he explained to them what was said
in all the scriptures concerning himself, y'all. On the Sunday

(00:23):
after Jesus was crucified, two of its disciples were walking
from Jerusalem to Amaeus. They were so discouraged and sorrowful
that Jesus was gone that their hopes and dreams were shattered.
They were so focused on what didn't work out, this
great disappointment, that they didn't recognize the risen Jesus who
suddenly joined them in the journey and conversation, y'all. In

(00:47):
that incredible moment, he began to explain to them that
the scripture had predicted about him and how he would
be crucified and rise from the dead on the third day.
It wasn't until later that day that they realized their
seven mile walk had been in the presence of a
risen savior. Oh God, how many times on our daily

(01:11):
journey are we not recognizing what God is doing or
the fact that he's walking with us. Y'all, were so
caught up in dealing with problems, trying to fix our
finances or our family or an illness, that we don't
see all the good things God is doing in the
present moment. Oh Goodness, don't be so focused on what's
wrong that you don't recognize that Jesus is walking with

(01:35):
you through it all. Father God, in the name of Jesus,
thank you that you're walking with us and working in
our lives every day. Help us to not be so
focused on today's challenges that we miss the good things
that you're doing in this present moment. Open our eyes God,
as you did with these two disciples, so that we

(01:55):
can see in Jesus' name, that's your word for today.
