says, I can do that becausewe always like to get this good community
community community information to our listeners. As we say our w D I a
goodwill information. And let me bringin Miss Latrese Franklin, who is going
(02:28):
to tell us and to take chargeof your health the fourth Annual Community Health,
Wellness and Safety Resource Good more, good afternoon. Rather to you,
Miss Franklin, how are you?Oh? Thank you so much. I
am doing fans testy. I likethat. I like that. So Miss
Franklin tell us about the fourth AnnualCommunity Health, Wellness and Safety Resource Fair.
(02:57):
Oh my goodness, Miss Johnson islike the most amazing event, not
only because I host it, butbecause it's very important for the community.
I am Latrese Franklin, and Ido on LF Mobile Lifesaving Courses, which
provides basic to advance CPR training, whether it's individuals or groups. So most
people do not know that the firstweek of June is a ED and CPR
(03:21):
awareness week. So the first Saturdayof June. We celebrate that by to
the community in a very grand wayby celebrating all things CPR, but also
the community of Raleigh where I grewup with a wonderful health, wellness and
resource fair. So on Saturday,June third, from eleven to two,
(03:42):
we have an amazing array of vendors, screening and all everything in between.
But that's why we're essentially doing itto bring awareness to CPR, but also
to bring awareness to health, wealthand safety. So, Miss Franklin,
where will you be doing this communityhealth fare? We will be located on
(04:03):
Austin P. Thirty three eighty fourAustin P at the new Raleigh Spring Civic
Center where the Raleigh Spring Mall waslocated. So when when our listeners come
out, they will be able tosee what as far as wellnessed screenings and
doing those kinds of things. Ohyes, ma'am, they are going through
(04:25):
one see us from the street andhear us from the street and probably smell
also because we'll have food, butwe'll have of screenings as far as blood
pressures, will be doing your BMI'srelated to your weights. We will have
the University of Tennessee students coming outdoing dental screenings. We have all sorts
of clinics, doctor office representation, about four or five departments from the health
(04:49):
departments, and most importantly the departTennessee Department of Health Division of Health Disparities
and Eliminations. They are sponsoring ourevents, so they'll even be an attendance
coming in from Nashville. I lovethis because I always tell my listeners when
there is an opportunity for you toget your blood pressure checked or other wellness
(05:11):
screenings, and it's free, comeout and do that, right missus Franklin,
Oh yes, ma'am. It's soimportant. You know a lot of
vendors and allots events. And rightnow as I was looking at my confirmed
list, I have about twenty threeto twenty five vendors from Health, Wellness
and Safety brackets that will be inattendance that you may not otherwise be able
(05:33):
to get in to see these individualsas quickly. So it's a perfect opportunity
to come out, get your screeningis done. We're gonna have a grit
grind. Grannies are gonna be theredancing, We're gonna have youth villages,
therapeutic drummers, they're gonna be out, so we're we have a whole,
big, giant bundle of fun atthis event. And also you mentioned earlier,
(05:55):
Miss Franklin, that people will beable to learn how to do CPR.
Oh yes, ma'am. So,my goal for this event this year
is for us to at least clockthree thousand compressions, so we're going to
be doing CPR demonstrations, will haveCPR scavenger hunt, We're gonna have CPR
being goals. So at the veryleast, when individuals leave the healthfare,
(06:19):
they will know how to perform handsonly CPR, which is also just as
important as taking a real class whichmay cost you a couple hours a time.
Wow. And then you also saidthat also how to use AEED.
Oh yes, ma'am. So theautomated extern defibrillator in addition to CPR,
(06:39):
which is the compressions and the ventilationscan double the triple someone's chance of surviving.
So being able to use those machinesare so very important. From literally
just cutting it on to listening toit, you can save someone's life by
doing CPR as well as using thosedefibrillators I like it. I like what
you say. Take charge of yourhealth. So tell our listeners once again
(07:00):
about the fourth annual Community Health,Wellness and Safety Resource Fare. So we
will be located at thirty three eightyfour Austin p Highway at the Raleigh Springs
Civic Center on June third, fromeleven in the morning till two in the
afternoon, and you will be pleasantlysurprised to see twenty plus vendors will be
(07:21):
doing screenings. We'll be having agrand time with entertainers, food, and
just free fund for the whole family. There is not a charge to come,
so even more of a reason toget your families to come on out
and celebrate CPR Week, Safety Monthas well as me and tells month all
in the month of June. Soon June third, eleven to two.
(07:42):
I like it, I like it. I will remind our listeners, Miss
Franklin about the fourth Annual Community HealthFare June third. I like it.
Thank you for the information. Ohmy pleasure. Have a great day to
day, all righty, thank youfor having me you too, Bye.
That's good.
