get you give you a little green onions so you
can have it your greens today. That's some Booker t
and the MG's out of Memphis, Tennessee, Soulsville, US A. Yeah,
as I said earlier, back in the house, hadn't seen
him in a while, hadn't talked to him in a while,
and just been missing him.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
But I gotta see him.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
The Master Mechanic is back in the house from Winchester
Tire in alignment. Mister Adrian, Right, good morning, Adrian, how
are you?
Speaker 6 (05:35):
Good morning Bell? How are you doing. I'm doing good.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I'm hanging Adrian, ma'am. Yeah, I hadn't seen you in
a while. It's time for me. It's time for my vehicles.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
Come see me.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
How you know I'm gonna come see you. I've come
to see you.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Well, you know, Adrian, as we always talking you all,
let me give these numbers when you have questions for Adrian,
give you these numbers now nine zero one five three
five nine three four two eight hundred five zero three
nine three four two eight three three five, three five
nine three four two. He is the general manager of
(06:08):
Winchester Tire and Alignment and he's also a master mechanic.
And we know, Adrian, we're getting ready to change.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
The season's coming. It's coming, you know, getting ready to fall.
What is it fall? Next next week?
Speaker 5 (06:23):
I think it's here, but you know, in summer, and
we're still gonna probably have hot weather. But I wanted
to ask you, and especially for me, is it time
now we've been through kind of the summer hot months,
it's time to get your vehicle service and get ready
for the fall and winter.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Let's talk about that.
Speaker 7 (06:42):
Well, it's definitely time to get ready to do it
because as we know around here, it might be extremely hot,
it might be extremely cold.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
Turns around so fast.
Speaker 8 (06:53):
So.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
We all know that vehicles act.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
They just show up and show out where it gets
extremely cold or extremely hot. So we just want to
get it in there and do the proper checks on
it and make sure that you're all good. We provide
that that inspection. Whenever you come out and doing oil
change with us, well, well we'll check it and tell
you what services need to be done to get you
(07:18):
up the park.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
And so when you.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
So, so if you come and say, Adrian, I want
to get my oil change, well I almost talk for me.
I'm coming to get my oil changes time for mind,
So you are going to and I'll probably say Adrian,
you know, I'll say, well you check everything? Will you
check my tires? Is that part of the process? It is?
Speaker 7 (07:42):
Well, we provide you with the thirty seven point courtagey inspection.
Well as you know that app that I sent to you,
and what things that you can view that we have
taken a look at. So you get you get a
beer of all the things that are good, a beer
of all of the things that's in the new future
that needs to be done, things that need to be
done immediately. Okay, So we'll you'll have pictures of all
(08:05):
of that. You can see it right there, just like
you're standing at the car looking at it. Okay, And
we do that, we provide their service.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Okay. So when we talk about.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
I know this songerve been we've been in our cars,
been running our a c We've we've been.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Running it and running it and running it.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
So now as it starts to get colder, should we
be concerned now about the heating has by us running
that air all summer long. Is that going to be
a problem or what should we think about when we're
thinking about that.
Speaker 7 (08:38):
Well, the of course the two work hand in hand
because you know A C still you believe or not,
you still use the A C for like when you
turn the defrausts on, the AC comes on, because yes,
it provides they takes the more sure out of the system,
so actually defrosts faster. But the heat, we just want
(09:00):
to make sure that it's working, okay, you know, make
sure that because things can go wrong. Blend doors could
go bad. I mean you have heaterd cores, they could
start having issues be clogged up. So we just want
to make sure those things are working working correctly and
that you that you don't go without that heat.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
So so in checking that and help me because you know,
when we don't know these adrians soul when you when
you you come get that all your aill change and
is the filter?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
What does the filter? Is the filter part of that?
Do you need to change your filter?
Speaker 7 (09:32):
Well, we changed we we do the oil filter with
the oil change okay, okay, but I inspect things like
the engine filter. Oh and one of the very important
filters that's really important with COVID, you know around right,
it's going to be to check in service that cabin
air filter and that and that's the filter I heard
(09:55):
of that. Yeah, that's the little dude that a lot
of people never paid an dude I got like that. Yeah,
that that that filter filters the fresh air that circulates
within the vehicle and that that comes from the outside
in the vehicle.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (10:09):
And all of the near vehicles I would set roughly
ninety percent of them have.
Speaker 9 (10:13):
It have that in there.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
Wow, So so that has to be checked.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
That needs to be checked.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Well, how do you know if you need to change
it or not?
Speaker 6 (10:22):
Oh on, so I pulled it out of there.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
You'll get a picture of Oh okay, you get it. Okay,
So you have to it and look.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
Yeah, if you got a pet that rides around with you,
or if you're the kind that.
Speaker 7 (10:32):
Hey, you know, you don't get over there and get
that dude vacuum out as often as you should.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
Right, you can look for that filter to be full
of debris, you.
Speaker 7 (10:41):
Know, or you park on the trees, you know, because
the stuff falls and gets in that cowing undneath the
hood and then it just sucks it right in, so
it needs.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
To be checked, needs to be checked. Okay, So those
are the things.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
And you mentioned the call and I've always been curious,
Adrian about when we hear about I don't even know
if the new cars have this spark plugs.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Oh yeah, you know, I don't.
Speaker 6 (11:08):
Yeah, they have spark plugs. You get.
Speaker 7 (11:11):
What most of them don't have. What cars used to
have is sparplug wires because they do a direct call
on plug application. So you don't have the spark plug
wires around anymore. Uh, there's some that still use it,
but there's some that don't. You just have to check
it and make sure it's doing anything. If you get
(11:32):
a check angelight on, we definitely need to look at
it because there could be some issues going on.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
With that engine light. It comes on something that something
is going.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
On, something going on. You need to take a look
at it because it's longer the life stays on. There's
other things that go bad. You never know it, okay,
because you didn't go get that thing checked out.
Speaker 6 (11:50):
So bring it in. We'll do it.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
Let me ask this, Adrian with when Chester tire an
alignment now and we know we have all these these
new vehicles with all this new stuff in their agents.
Are you all able to handle the new cars or
are they difficult for you?
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Or I know you are learning.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
Because because a lot of people brought, you know, new
cars and they got all this new technology.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
I do, they have a lot of new technology.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Unfortunately, you know what what I try to tell a
lot of my customers because a lot of them come
in and they go, you know, well, you know you
you know you're high. No, we're not high, I said,
I'm charging the calling. Yeah, because we have to keep
up with the equipment.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Okay, I'm glad you said that.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Make make sure the guys get into proper training, right.
Speaker 9 (12:42):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
We try to keep them, send them to a different classes.
Speaker 7 (12:47):
They have things they can do online, webinars and stuff
that help us out help them going. But we do
pretty good with staying in line with being able to
take care of what is out there.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
So is there any model make car that you all
just don't like to work on or don't work on?
Speaker 7 (13:06):
No, no, no, no, no, no, there's we we practically
work on. I would say roughly ninety five percent of
what's out there. Okay, there's I will say this, Okay,
they believe in buying what it takes to get the
job done.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (13:22):
When I said the owner, the owners, Yeah, yeah, he believes.
Speaker 7 (13:26):
And if I go to him and say, hey, look
it's something coming around and we need this, he would
tell me to do my research and make sure that
what I'm getting is what we're gonna need, that's gonna
be able to take care of what we gotta do.
Speaker 6 (13:42):
And if that's it, then we talk about money. Yeah,
and after that we get it.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:47):
I mean he's been really good about that.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Yeah, good, good, good, and and and and so if
you can't service a car, you're gonna let the custom.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
Oh yeah, that's automatic.
Speaker 7 (14:02):
I mean, if it's something that it's something that we
come up uh into it for we go hey, look, listen,
you need to take that to the dealer.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
You know, I don't even suggest that they go mess
around with anybody because I ain't got what it takes
to take care of it. You need to be at
the dealership, you.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Know, trade a shade tree mechanic hunting.
Speaker 6 (14:20):
Don't go do it. You're gonna you're gonna pay for
that part.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
So yeah, it would suggest you definitely take it to
the dealer, but there's not many of them that we
turn away.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
So you you all pretty do most most of the
cars we do. We do a lot for people who
aren't familiar with Winchester tie in alignment. Do you all
also do a body work?
Speaker 6 (14:42):
No, I do not. We do not do body work.
We do everything for exceptional bodywork. Uh huh. Yeah, I
mean every other portion part of the car we do.
Speaker 7 (14:52):
When it comes to doing driver ability work, like you said,
doing the regular maintenance, it comes to doing engines transmissions,
we do it all.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
And oh, I'm speaking of engines. And so if someone
you find out that man, you need a new engine,
you will be able to get that for them.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
I'm gonna be able to get them a price on
it and we'll be able to take care of it.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Wow, we do.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
We do quite a few engines transmision. Yeah, yes, ma'am.
Have you found, Adrian that people still have their older cars?
We have.
Speaker 6 (15:27):
We see that more now. I have a company that
they do like.
Speaker 7 (15:35):
Excavation work, you know, ashphal and different things, you know,
parking lots and stuff.
Speaker 5 (15:41):
Uh huh.
Speaker 7 (15:41):
And I'll be honest with you. In the past, I
used to tell him, hey, look, yeah, you got to
have a motor. You gotta have this, have this. And
he said, well, well, I'm just gonna go to the
auction and buy something, or I'm gonna go to the
dealer and get something.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Uh huh.
Speaker 6 (15:53):
Now they fixed all that stuff because like my vehicles
were gotten so high.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
So now he if I he got a vehicle over there,
it ain't been a couple of months ago. You put
a new motor in it, and we did some other things.
But uh huh, you got about ten thousand dollars here,
what would you like to do? He said, I'm gonna
fix it. It's because a new truck fifty sixty thousand.
And I was like, well, I guess you got a point.
(16:20):
So yeah, so he's been fixing them.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Good.
Speaker 6 (16:23):
We see that a lot now.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
Yeah, tell our listeners, Adrian, and when you hear Winchester
tired and alignment, people just a lot of prop think
that you just tires it alive.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
But you do more. And where are you all located?
So get that up front right now?
Speaker 6 (16:37):
Okay, Yes, we definitely do more.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
Like I said, we do everything for the exceptional bodywork,
and we're located at eighteen thirty Winchester. We're in between
Mill Branch and Airways on Winchester and to just kind
of give you a better with about a mile west
of the airport right so we're right down there.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
And I know if you've just tuned in this morning,
I am talking with the general manager and Master mechanic
mister Adrian Wright of Winchester Tire in Alignment. If you
have a question or two four adrin this morning about
your vehicle, something's going on. You can kind of tell you,
(17:21):
but I'm gonna tell you probably have to go in
and see him. But you may have a question this morning.
We invite you to call five three five nine the
three four two eight hundred five zero three nine three
four two eight three three five three five nine The
three four two will get you in to us.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
You're listening to the Bev Johnson Show on.
Speaker 9 (17:46):
W d i A.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Don't go away. The Bev Johnson Show returns after these messages.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
The Bev Johnson Show you over the.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Working hard to bring you outa days no saying hodayd.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Good morning and welcome back to w d i A
the Heart and Soul of Memphis. We are asking the expert.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Are expert is Master Mechanic and General Manager of Winchester
Tied in alignment, mister Adrian Wright. Adrian, We're going to
our phone lines to talk to some of our listeners.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Thank you for waiting.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
Hi fat Daddy, Hey, good morning, Miss johnsone, good morning,
how are you all right?
Speaker 10 (19:17):
And good morning to your guest.
Speaker 6 (19:19):
Mister Right, good morning, good morning.
Speaker 10 (19:21):
Look the right, Yes, sir, mister Right.
Speaker 11 (19:23):
I got a question.
Speaker 12 (19:24):
Uh, do you all check a car that got a
seal transmission? I ain't got no stick.
Speaker 8 (19:31):
Yes, y'all do.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
Yes, yes, there's even though there's not a transmission physical
district that you could get to.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (19:41):
And when I say you have like the consumer, uh,
there are ways still to check it, just how to
get it in there. Some of them you literally have
to run it to be a certain tempt take a
scanner and be able to check it, uh to see
what the readings are.
Speaker 10 (19:57):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (19:57):
In that way, they I'll make a tell you adjustments
need to be made to it.
Speaker 7 (20:02):
And then sometimes there's actually like for an instance, like
the Dodge Chargers and the Challengers, we literally have a
dipstick that goes because they'll put the tube there for you,
but they won't give you a dipstick.
Speaker 12 (20:15):
Okay, it's a twenty nineteen knee song virtual twenty nineteen
knee song.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Yes, we can check that.
Speaker 13 (20:22):
Okay, okay, then all right, okay, y'all put that address
out there again.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
Okay, thank you, Miss Johnson.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Okay, we will yes, bye bye, we will put the
address out and also we'll give the telephone number as well.
Speaker 13 (20:36):
W d I A unforgetful Hey Beth, great show, No select.
I want to ask you, do you for a CADILECT converter?
Do they have anything connected with the transmission?
Speaker 10 (20:49):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (20:49):
The cales converter doesn't have anything to do with the transmission.
What are you What kind of problem are you experienced?
Speaker 8 (20:55):
Let me give you let me give you an example
what I'm talking about.
Speaker 12 (20:58):
Let's say you're trying to make the car go forward
and they won't when you put in drive, but if
you put in reverse it go back. But you know,
the CADILECT converted. What's the words stuck up? It got something, man,
it's stuck up? Is that to a fault?
Speaker 6 (21:16):
No, that those two don't actually have any relations to
one another.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (21:23):
The CALEDI converted of courses is in the exhaust system.
It's part of the exhaust system. So if it's clogged
up to drive forward either it just doesn't want to
it doesn't have the power, so you need to get
that off of there. But if you're experiencing not going
in one gear or the other, then you have a
(21:45):
transmission issue.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
You need to try to get it in. Well, you know,
we can take a look at it for you.
Speaker 12 (21:51):
To a cadilect converted, You're not it's connected with the
transmission at all, No, sir, And what I thought too, Hey,
and the next question is dealing with the Cadillac converted. Uh,
do the candidate converter also give adults out of the car?
Speaker 5 (22:08):
You know?
Speaker 12 (22:08):
For could it be put it in a certain way,
whether adults car could come out on the side of
the car.
Speaker 13 (22:17):
What could cause that?
Speaker 6 (22:19):
Well, if you're if you if you're getting exhausted.
Speaker 8 (22:22):
Let me example, then maybe you understand, well I'm coming
from you know, when you in the back of your
car and you got the adults system back there, if
you get close to the pipe with.
Speaker 12 (22:31):
Your hand or whatever, you can see her that heat
you know, coming out of that. But if you if
you're in your car and you're sitting down and got
one leg out and you just got it on the ground.
You see that heat the same way you say it
like you was in the back.
Speaker 9 (22:46):
What is that?
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Well, well, I'll be honest with you. You could be
feeling the heat, of course, maybe from the exhaust or
the heat just coming off the engine.
Speaker 6 (22:56):
If you have a.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
Hole of something in a pipe or something and this
blowing heat out there, then you need to get that fixed.
That's gonna that's gonna cause you to burn up a converter.
Speaker 12 (23:08):
Okay, thank you, mister right, hey, thank.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Mort thank you. Unforgetful w D I a hi caller.
Speaker 10 (23:17):
Good morning, miss Bell.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
Can you hear me?
Speaker 2 (23:19):
I hear you loud and clear? How are you?
Speaker 10 (23:23):
I'm fine?
Speaker 4 (23:24):
How are you and your gifts.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Doing fabulous today? Who is this? First name?
Speaker 11 (23:30):
Miss?
Speaker 4 (23:31):
This is Shandra?
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Hey Shandra?
Speaker 6 (23:33):
How are you?
Speaker 10 (23:35):
I'm fine?
Speaker 4 (23:35):
Love? How are you?
Speaker 2 (23:37):
I'm fabulous today? Sad Shandra? Shandra?
Speaker 4 (23:42):
Yes, ma'am Chandra. Okay, So what's your guest name?
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Mister Wright? Adrian Wright?
Speaker 6 (23:48):
Are you doing this?
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Yeah, I sure remember that.
Speaker 10 (23:50):
I'm doing well.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Mister Wright. How are you?
Speaker 6 (23:52):
I'm pretty good?
Speaker 10 (23:54):
Okay, I have a question for you.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
So I have a two thousand and eighteen both ways
and beetles, so it was running pretty good. My husband
bought it at a auction and I love that little car.
It's a convertible and everything. But so one day it
messed up. My son called and told me.
Speaker 10 (24:16):
It was blowing.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
It was blowing out white smoke out of the tailpipe.
So I had a gentleman to look at it, and
he replaced a part on it. He thought that was
going to fix the problem, but it did not, So
I just had him to bring the car back and
I took it to Godfit, Who's I guess, you know,
(24:40):
they deal with those type of cars.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
So hmm.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
The price that they gave me is not what I expected.
So my question is they said it's in the engine,
it's drivable, but it's you know, I'm not going to
drive it in that condition. So with that being said,
does that means the motor it's gone or what's the
(25:05):
what's the deal?
Speaker 7 (25:07):
Well, of course I don't have the vehicles, so I
can't tell you whether or not it's actually coolant that's
blowing by and causing the white smoke, or if you have,
you know, some oil blowby that's causing the white smoke.
But I will say, okay, if it is coolant, that
means that you have like a head gasket issue or
(25:29):
cracked head or you know, something of this nature. Or
if it's a blow by from oil, that means it's
getting past the rings. So either one of those will
be a you know, something that will have you to
cause you shall I say, to have you to replace
(25:49):
the engine so or have it repaired, you know, whether
by the way somebody go and do and put their
head gasket on it, or or if the rings they
got actually rebuild the engine. No, so but yess that's
the very good possibility that you would need an engine.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
It's a possibility I could could need a new engine. Okay, yeah,
because the price that they.
Speaker 10 (26:14):
Gave me sounds like engine twice.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
Okay, So I'm gonna what you can do is.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Hold on chander. Mister Wright wants to tell you what
you can do.
Speaker 10 (26:24):
What you can do, Yes, okay, if you just if.
Speaker 7 (26:28):
You just called the store and give you give us
your actual then then that way I can try to.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
Price you an engine.
Speaker 10 (26:38):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (26:39):
So I don't know what price they gave you, but
we can see if it's something that we can do
to help you make it feasible where you can get
it done?
Speaker 4 (26:49):
Okay, called the store number, and what's the number?
Speaker 6 (26:53):
Like that number is nine on one three four five
five for eight four.
Speaker 12 (27:03):
Eight.
Speaker 4 (27:06):
Yeah, that's for mister Wright as Adrian right, Yes, ma'am, okay,
I sure will and I and I.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Wanted to say I love them Volkswagon Beetles. I loved
the vote and when you said commutable, I love it.
I love I used to love volks Wagging.
Speaker 5 (27:29):
And the reason why because when we were in high school,
when we were taking drivers at in high school, we
had to learn how to we drive automatic, but we
had to learn how to drive a stick. And the
stick was the Volkswagon and we had to learn how
to drive a stick.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yes, we did on a Volkswagon Beetle.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Oh wow. And miss Bell when I saw it at
the auction and I told my husband, I'm like.
Speaker 10 (27:53):
I want them. The it's is so cute. Yes, and
it is you.
Speaker 4 (27:58):
Yes, I do I want And Miss Bill it's been
driving pretty good. I done had about maybe a year
close to a year now, but it a'll act up
on me. But I'm gonna get that car fixed.
Speaker 10 (28:09):
I'm gonna drive my little both ways I.
Speaker 8 (28:13):
Does.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Does the convertible still work?
Speaker 10 (28:17):
Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 12 (28:18):
Yeah, And Adrian knows me.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
I had that PT Cruiser convert I loved my little
my little pet shooser.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
I did it, Adrian.
Speaker 5 (28:26):
But my convertible, you know, it stopped working. And Adrian
and folks they couldn't find the part for it. So
can I end up trading it in? But I sure
hate it too?
Speaker 2 (28:38):
Oh my, But that's okay. I got I got me
another convertible.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
I know, miss Bill, but I saw your car when
you first got it.
Speaker 10 (28:46):
It's beautiful.
Speaker 9 (28:47):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
I remember you used to always talk about your little
PT Cruiser, But I didn't know what was convertible. But
so what happened on my convertible? Now, my neighbor's tree
hit it, So I did have to get the convertible redone.
So I took it to Don's Auto down there on
Union and he, you know, he replaced it my convertible. Yes,
(29:09):
I yet from my neighbor's tree. But yeah, I love
that little car. Yeah, but yes, I'm gonna get my
car six. Yeah they are they.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Well get it.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
Well, Well, let me tell you Adrian and his folks there,
Winchester child.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
They do an awesome job, so call them Chandra.
Speaker 10 (29:26):
Yes, ma'am, I will, and thank you, Miss Bell, Miss Belle.
Speaker 4 (29:29):
I'm so proud of you and I just love you.
I've been walking with you girl friends nineteen.
Speaker 10 (29:33):
Eighty five, but right after I got out of.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Hoch, I've been walking with you that alone, and I'm
gonna stay with you.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Well, sweethearts, keep walking with me, and I appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
Okay, I be saving.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Call Adrian now call him now this afternoon.
Speaker 10 (29:54):
Yes, ma'am, I will, and thank you. Thank you for
taking my collumns.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Bell and y'all have a wonderful, beautiful day. It's a
beautiful wind.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
YouTube bye bye. Yeah, that's nice.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
And and then speaking of that, I was thinking about convertibles.
You you all will will will do those cards. But
it depends on what the problem is.
Speaker 6 (30:12):
Part placement. That's what kills them.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
You know what, Adrian, and you've said this before. I
guess after the pandemic, it was hard to get parts,
isn't it is? It's hard now feel hard?
Speaker 13 (30:23):
You got?
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Because these tariffs and all that?
Speaker 6 (30:26):
It's getting worse because of what you know?
Speaker 7 (30:29):
It was hard because you got some manufacturers they actually
quit manufacturing parts for certain vehicles after certain years. Uh huh,
they just don't manufacture them anymore. So uh then you
have to rely on, like, you know, out the market and.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
Salvage. Okay, so, but but part placement can be a problem.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
Right from Whitney Adrian, this email, She says, good morning, mister, Right,
do you work on F four fifty four two two
thousand and six turbo diesel truck?
Speaker 6 (31:05):
Okay? All right, We don't do a lot of diesel
repair engine wise.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (31:12):
There are some things that I do do to them,
like if it's you know, if it's like service to
the all, I do that service to transfluid in it.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
We do brakes on them. So, but I just don't
do the lot of diesel engine repairs.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Now, okay, Okay.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
From Cedric, he wants to know, Adrian, there are a
lot of these, okay, Yu Condinalite and Cadillac Escalate six
point two engine. Then he says there are a lot
of these for sale between the years of two thousand
and seven and twenty twenty four, with one hundred and
fifty to two hundred and fifty thousand miles what are
(31:53):
the known mechanical issues that.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
You see on these vehicles?
Speaker 6 (31:59):
We do, we do some some problems out of them.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
But as you can as you can see, you called
off a lot of miles, right right, right, You got
one that got that many miles on it. I mean
it's hey, that's signs of a good vehicle. You know
that it has been down through the years. But uh,
but there are there are there are some known issues
with engines in them. Okay, so, but but there's there's
(32:24):
a variety of things with it. But those are generally
pretty good, pretty good vehicles.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
And this is a good question because I've always wondered
about this, Agred, How long should you ride on a car?
Speaker 2 (32:36):
I mean how many miles? I mean, is it goal
as long as the car will go?
Speaker 7 (32:41):
If you're taking care of the vehicle, okay, okay, and
you're getting good service out of it. I mean, me,
my pocket is I can't just run about it. Oh no,
We've not to keep buying cars, so I keep I
just keep taking care of them. Dudes, yeah, until you know, well,
I try to keep my wife in something decent, so
(33:02):
because I can't be going to go get her off
the street and.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
I don't want to exactly exactly.
Speaker 7 (33:07):
But I make sure that I don't miss it. Don't
miss an all change, Okay, no, I don't.
Speaker 6 (33:12):
That's service.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Don't miss your oil change.
Speaker 6 (33:15):
I don't miss that oil change.
Speaker 7 (33:16):
And I tell her when it gets down in that
little percentage it gets down there we get around twenty percent.
Speaker 6 (33:21):
I need the car, okay, I don't care what you're doing.
I need the car.
Speaker 7 (33:25):
Okay, bring it to me so I can get it done,
get that stuff taken care of, and so unfortunately some
of mine gets a lot of my house on it.
But it's just however, how well you maintain it, you know,
so if it still runs good, still runs.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Still, if it's still run and you taking care of keep.
Speaker 6 (33:43):
It, keep it up, keep going.
Speaker 5 (33:47):
I think about a Drew Knows Teary Spice and Trio
Miss Bellfue.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
You you keep those cars, I said, I do keep cars.
I said, but you talk me and getting this up.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
But no, you know, but you know, I know, Hey, Adrian,
I'm gonna keep it, like you said, if you keep
it up, you know, because I'm and nowadays these cars
are expect I mean, they're going up.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
I can't keep buying a new car.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
The prices are getting up there, yeah, they are, they are,
they are getting up there.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah. We are talking with mister Adrian Wright.

Speaker 9 (35:06):
D i A.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
You're listening to Tennessee Radio Hall of Famer Bev Johnson on.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
W d i A the Bev john Shal. I'm telling
(35:53):
you to just keep the around show.
Speaker 5 (36:09):
We are talking with the master mechanic and general manager
of Winchester Tire in Alignement. Mister Adrian Wright is here
going to our phone lines to talk with you.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Thank you for waiting.
Speaker 11 (36:20):
Hi, Lynda, Hello, how you doing.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
I'm doing well. Thank you for being a first time caller.
Thank you, Thank you you have a question for mister Wright.
Speaker 9 (36:34):
Do I do?
Speaker 11 (36:34):
Mister right'a have a two thousand four two thousand, yeah,
Fourteenmarano and I bought a brand news one time on
of this meet. So what I'm what I've been having
an issue with lately. I had to get an air
compressor jack the air compressor put on, and uh, I
(37:00):
got him a tenic and actually he's only as well
over here now to do something mess I gotta tell
you about it. But anyway, when I got the earth
complessor put on, I couldn't When I would turn it
off sometimes and then turn the air back on, it
wouldn't click on. So he said I needed a switch,
so he got me a swift goin to put that on.
(37:21):
Then I had it was like it was like flutter fluttering,
like I'm pushing on the gas and it's kind of
like fluttering fluttering. So and my check engine light was on,
so I took it to I was on to get
that engine light stick and it said something like an
earth earth sensor thing, So we replaced the spencer. Still
(37:44):
was doing it. Found out that the holes had a
split in it, so he got the hose. He's gonna
come fixed that and let me see what else. Because
I've been trying to keep.
Speaker 10 (37:58):
This car going. Like Bell said, I out of paid
for it, and I really don't want a Carno right now.
Speaker 11 (38:03):
But am I am?
Speaker 4 (38:06):
I on the right track.
Speaker 11 (38:07):
And then I've been listening to the show because I
do want to find a place where I can take
my car, and because my mechanics. You know, he's kind
of older guy, so sometime he's gonna be able to
get to it. And I need a reliable place where
I can go. And I've been listening to the show,
and I think that's what I want to do. Maybe
DE started getting my car service with you guys, And
(38:30):
I do remember.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
About that.
Speaker 11 (38:33):
Filter things you were talking about on the inside, I
did line I learned about that you have to change that.
And so with that switch not coming after I got
my air compressor done, I bought a new compressor, got
that done. Could the switch be bad?
Speaker 7 (38:52):
I'll be honest with you, Without actually seeing the vehicle,
was the possibility that switch could be bad? My suggestion
would be is I'm not I don't actually know what
the skill set of the gentleman that is actually working.
Speaker 6 (39:06):
On your vehicle is so I can't say he's telling
you right or wrong.
Speaker 11 (39:11):
But what I was, we've been where we I got
the compress hell and then you couldn't turn it on
and off. You just I just had to leave it
on because.
Speaker 6 (39:19):
I was to turn it offs.
Speaker 10 (39:21):
Then it just went out. Now just well, I'm gonna
tell you this. It blows, but it don't blow cold,
it blows hot. Right, And so he was saying to switch.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
Well, if he doesn't have any success that can you
can you're going I would suggest you bring it in
and let us take a long while.
Speaker 10 (39:44):
If this don't work, I'm coming to you.
Speaker 5 (39:47):
Go see him, Linda, because he's good. They take care
of my vehicles.
Speaker 11 (39:51):
Will oh yeah, okay, and I've been listening to the
show all right, and I'll follow you too. Well, but
it don't work, I will be coming in right.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
Sounds good. Thank you, Linda.
Speaker 11 (40:02):
Okay, thank you for taking my car. I have a
good day you too.
Speaker 9 (40:06):
Bye bye, Hi Ernest, hey bell, Hey, And I was
just calling.
Speaker 8 (40:13):
I had been changing so many cars with one head light.
Speaker 10 (40:16):
At night, and I was the one why these people
don't get their head lights.
Speaker 12 (40:20):
And uh b bye.
Speaker 8 (40:22):
I was stealing that way until I came want me
to get an oil change, So I took my car
to the dealership, got my oil change. That's why you
already put that headlight in from me.
Speaker 12 (40:33):
Well, I got my bill back to the headlight was
more than oord Chaine.
Speaker 11 (40:37):
What they had to take so much stuff off my truck.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Oh okay, is that that probably adrid that happens.
Speaker 6 (40:46):
That that happens.
Speaker 7 (40:49):
Some customers are just really not ready for what we
tell them when it's time to change out, you know,
headlight bulls. Because sometimes well actually there's more times now
than it used to be ever that you have to
remove the bumper off of them and start taking stuff
out of off of it just to even get ahead,
(41:10):
like you know, where you can.
Speaker 6 (41:12):
Have access to it.
Speaker 7 (41:14):
So of course when you're doing that type of stuff,
it calls labor, and of course labor is what equates.
Speaker 6 (41:20):
That's what raised the bill.
Speaker 7 (41:22):
Uh, the bubb probably ain't thirty to forty bucks, right,
But by the time you paid the labor, if somebody
removed your bumper off of it, you probably got you know,
an our hour and a half you know, involved in
doing so.
Speaker 6 (41:35):
So that's what that's what causes that bill to rise.
Speaker 10 (41:38):
Yeah, that's what it was. I was just in an ord.
Speaker 8 (41:41):
Chance you know, why are you doing?
Speaker 9 (41:44):
Or chance?
Speaker 4 (41:44):
Do the light?
Speaker 8 (41:45):
I'm thinking it would be like, you know, you used
to go.
Speaker 12 (41:47):
To dollars gas you're working outside.
Speaker 8 (41:49):
I paid them to put it in, you know right,
I'm thinking, you know, thirty five dollars tops.
Speaker 5 (41:54):
You know.
Speaker 8 (41:57):
What a bill? I said, y'all went up on. He said, no, no,
you have to get that light book.
Speaker 12 (42:02):
We had to take you.
Speaker 8 (42:04):
He went to name and all kinds of stuff there.
I thought he were joking till I found out.
Speaker 12 (42:08):
You know, ask somebody else to really new when you
just see he is.
Speaker 10 (42:17):
Yeah. So anyway, I just I was.
Speaker 8 (42:20):
Just wonder why so many people to.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Ride around at night with just one exactly?
Speaker 8 (42:26):
All right, thank you, thank you so much, appreciate.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
Bye bye, top Cat.
Speaker 9 (42:33):
Hey missus Johnson. How are you I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (42:36):

Speaker 9 (42:38):

limited edition X else. I went to the Jaguar place.
They do not change all, do y'all? Would y'all change
all at my Jaguar?
Speaker 6 (42:54):
Sure?
Speaker 9 (42:56):

Speaker 6 (42:58):

Speaker 2 (43:34):

Speaker 5 (44:01):
Bye bye, yeah, yeah, that's good, and give that telephone

Speaker 7 (44:05):
Adrian yes that that telephone number is nine O one
three four five five for eight four and and so.
Speaker 5 (44:15):
You all will work on folks call and and I'm
glad you said that, Adrian. Uh, first come, first served,
or you can make an appointment, can you.
Speaker 7 (44:25):
Well, I take a pormance for alignments, for alignments, all right,
for alignments, and then then if you you can set
up a time with me, if you you know you're
gonna bring your bill and drop it off and leave
it with me, or if you got to have something done,
engine work or something like that, so at least I
know you're coming and right, and then I can make
(44:45):
provisions to get you in there at a certain you know,
certain spot. But far as the all changes, yes, I
have so many on them walking in and out.

Speaker 7 (45:31):
We would like them to spend quality time with their families,
and unfortunately the best way to do that is for
them to do it on the weekend. Because kids are
out of school. You know, there's things they can get
out and go do. So that that's been working for us.
They work hard for us, so we just keep that
(45:53):
up and that's that's that's been good.
