Hi, Laura, I'm here, Bab. I'm excited to be back
in the house again. And Bab, looks like you've had
a little R and R. You're looking good over there.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Lady sister. I needed the rn R, Laurie.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
I had some rn R I know, and my listeners,
some of them are like Lady P.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
They so nosy. They want to know where you're being,
where you're being, Lady P.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I was.

Speaker 6 (05:48):
I was celebrating my birthday, Laurie. I went to the
Island of Saint Lucia. Beautiful, Yes, birthday, Thank you Lord,
thank you. We had a fabulous time Bev Johnson's grown folks.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Rev.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Johnson's grown folks on the road again. So we were
Laurie at the Island of Saint Lucia. Simply beautiful. Just
just the folks are nice. It's just nice. You know.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
One of the things, Laurie and I know you could
get started, that you get started.

Speaker 7 (06:19):
But one of the things that I know, those folks
in those Caribbean countries, they're poor, but they're so appreciative
of Laurie what they get.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
You know, I think we stay on the resort, and
so at the resort, everybody's smiling, and you know, they
wait on you this and they're smiling and then you
say that, well you're welcome, you know, you know they
are so I mean, they smile, they are happy to
serve you.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Unlike Americans. You know, we are so different.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
You know how Americans are. We are selfish and we
are rude, and but those folks are so nice. They
just genuinely, yes, appreciate people because they you know, they
don't have a lot, and they appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
So we had a wonderful time.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
We were at the Lord Coconut Bay Resort and spak
Oh wow, it was a good time. It was.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
It was a good time.

Speaker 6 (07:20):
And uh my, my, my, my cohort, my sister, my
sister friend who's on Hallelujah, Cherry Mackie went with me
as well. So I know the folks on Hallelujah was
missing Cherry. But we we we were laying on the
beach and the pool and on a catamaran.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
I mean we cut up.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
Oh my goodness. See Lord, you go over there, you
would cut up too much. I don't know, I don't
think I think you can go.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
I can go, beab, I can go. I know you would,
I know you would. Well, I'm glad to have you back, Laury.
I love that hat, you know what.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
And and over there one night they had a country
in Western night, so you know, the boots on the
ground you can wearry your country.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
They had the little cowboy hats on honey days.

Speaker 7 (08:05):
Them folks know how, they know how to part they
know how to have a good time, they know how
to celebrate life.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Let me put it like that, Laura. Wow, they really
do know how to take a chapter out of their books. Yeah,
we do, we do it, We do well.

Speaker 7 (08:19):
Laurie is in and for you first time listeners.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, welcome, welcome. You may be a first
time caller.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
If you've never heard of Laurie Swannegan and the Benefit
Solutions Group, She's gonna tell you about it.

Speaker 8 (08:33):
Yes, So I'm so glad you let me do that
bad because I want to make sure people understand that
there are two different groups. One is Benefit Solutions Group.
We are the Benefits with an ASS Solutions with an
ASS group the Benefit Solutions Group.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
So that's the difference.

Speaker 8 (08:51):
Because I know during AEP, I know that gentleman loves
to get our business out there. But I want to
make a distinction today because we want to make sure
we are servicing the folks that we are speaking to
every day or every month. I've had a lot of
people to call in and say, hey, I heard you
on the BEV Johnson Show, and that's exciting because we

(09:12):
want to be.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Able to get the word out. Here's who we are.

Speaker 8 (09:16):
We are independent insurance brokers, so we're licensed agents. But
you know, what what we are is benefits advisors, advocates
for our seniors. You know, I want to just put
it like this. We're the folks to tell the truth.
And why do we tell the truth because everyone knows
my story and if you haven't heard it, someone, some

(09:39):
nice lady came to my mom's home and signed her
up for the wrong plan. And when I say wrong plan,
it was they took her out of network for her
doctor that she had been seeing for fifty years. I
know fifty years because I was I don't know how
old at that point, but you know, and the plan

(10:00):
called me and said, you know, we know your mom
couldn't can't see doctor Puppsy anymore, but hey, we're gonna
get it fixed up with a new doctor. And you know,
they were all excited, and my first response was what
did you do?

Speaker 4 (10:15):
I want you to know.

Speaker 8 (10:15):
So there's, you know, kind of two sides to that story.
When it comes to a physician that's a whole nother
conversation to have. But if a senior wants to keep
that provider, guess what, the Benefit Solutions Group make sure
that that senior is in a good position to thrive

(10:38):
to live. I've gotten to the doctor's offices, and I know,
let me tell you my address, because BEB, you know,
I always get into this thing so fast. But our address.
God has blessed us. Oh, by the way, BEV, great news.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (10:52):
We acquired a seventy two hundred square foot facility last June.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
We paid it off Friday. What we paid it all? Oh,
fab just blessed us. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 7 (11:08):
Where we are, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Every single thing in that building is paid for.

Speaker 8 (11:16):
And now we own the property, We own the land,
so it's a place for our singers. We wanted to
be a part of the communities that we service, so
we're in the three.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Eight one one eight zip code.

Speaker 8 (11:30):
It means something to me, BEV, to be in the
heart of the communities that we service. So I want
you to know how serious I am about this business.
It's not about commission. For me, it's not about a dollar,
you know, It's about my heart. And I know because
of what I've done and the way that I honor God,

(11:52):
and he leads us that he is blessing us to
do these things. He's blessed us to pay the building off.
He blesses us to meet people like you every single day.
So I have actually made this thing an interactive thing
now for our listeners. So you're gonna have Benefit Solutions
Group team members that could possibly call you today while

(12:14):
I'm on the show so that we kind of validate
who we are, you know, and reach out during a
time where if you needed to validate us, you could
actually call into the Bail Show. God put that on
my heart this morning to do. So you're definitely gonna
have some calls coming in, I'm sure from the Benefit
Solutions Group. I'll throw our number out there right now,

(12:37):
but this may not be the number that they call
you from, because once the calls come into us, it's
going to be assigned an agent. So here is the number.
It's nine zero one four or five three six three
four six, So get that number down now because you're
gonna have questions after this show today. I have about

(13:00):
three topics that I want to discuss because bab we
have had lots of calls. As a matter of fact,
I just got off the phone before walking into the
station with the same questions. So I really want to
address about three things today. Sure, So I want to
put the number out because you're gonna need to call
and ask questions. So it's nine zero one four five

(13:22):
three six three four six. That's gonna get you in
to an agent. They may not call you back from
that number, but guess what I am on every single
one of my agents. They are going to call you back.
You can bet your bottom dollar on that. And if not, hey,
it texts bail email, not text the email bell. She'll
She'll connect with me and I will give you a

(13:45):
callback personally. How about that sounds good? And and and
and and Laurie is you know she she She's the
person who's gonna keep her word.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
You know she's good. She's gonna get a bill. What
you say, Lord live BYA.

Speaker 8 (14:00):
I was just discussing it on my way in bev
Okay to my executive assistant. I said, Hey, if there
is something that I've said that that I may forget,
just remind me because I will die trying to keep
my word. I want to keep my word to the
people to the community. You know, beb Johnson's gonna kill
me if I don't. I've been raised that way. I'm

(14:20):
a breakly Arkansas. By all means, your word is.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Your what bumond?

Speaker 8 (14:26):
Come on, sister, gotta keep that word. So if you
call in you don't get anybody, Hey, get get into.
I'll give you another number. Two it's nine oh one
five six five zero zero five six. That is to
our school. But my ea, she's going to answer that
phone and she's definitely gonna get me the message. So

(14:46):
that's another number that you can possibly call into five
six five zero zero five six. But the main number
it's nine zero one four or five three six three
four six.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
They're gonna call you back. I promise. Thanks. Okay.

Speaker 7 (15:00):
So when we talk about Laurie, the Benefits Solutions Group,
tell our listeners and especially our first time listeners who
are listening for the first time, what you all do
and what you help them with.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Laurie. Oh that's good, Beth.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
So So we're insurance agents and we help seniors, you know,
with a number of things, but the primary thing that
we help you with is made is we help you
to see the plans so their Medicare advantage plans, so
they are your.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
C and D.

Speaker 8 (15:35):
So your Medicare advantage plan is your C and D.
And like I say all the time, beverlet is.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
To call the TV call laur read for your C
and D.

Speaker 8 (15:52):
Yeah, I love it, I love it. So your Medicare
car BEV. So that is your red white and blue card.
That's your A and your should be your B. However
bad there are some people who have A only, there
are people who have B only. So let me tell
you who we are and then we'll get into the

(16:13):
meat of things. So we help seniors make decisions about
their Medicare advantage plans or their Medicare supplements, and there
is a difference.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
We are your C and your D.

Speaker 8 (16:27):
So when you make a decision about that Medicare advantage plan,
we may help you get qualified for something called low
Income Subsidy. We may help you get qualified for Medicaid.
Those two are income driven. But the first thing we
do is try to get you covered with your C
and your D. So if you've got a red, white
and blue card with your A and B on it,

(16:50):
we help you get the C and the D. Why
do you need C and D? Because if you don't
have D, let's say D for drugs, that is your
prescription drug. So when you don't have D, guess what
you're going to get a penalty, and that's a lifetime penalty.
Bell So your prescription drug plan is not going to

(17:14):
be zero. That thing is going to cost you something. Well,
how about not paying for a prescription drug plan and
getting your part C from US the Benefit Solutions Group.
That would include your D. So if you get a
Medicare advantage plan, it is going to include your prescription

(17:36):
drug plan. So it is your C and your D.
Now let's back out of D and go back to
your A. So if you've got that red, white and
blue card and it's all red, white and blue, not
just the blue and white, that's a Medicaid card, not
your pink card. That's a QMB qualified Medicare beneficiary. That's

(17:57):
your Medicaid card, So not those colors. It's got to
absolutely be red, white and blue. So let's start there.
It's actually gonna say Medicare Health Insurance card. That's so
that's your Medicare card. It's gonna start. It has a
A a day and the letter A on it, and
it says hospital. A lot of our singers, BEV think

(18:22):
that hospital is covered. Your entire hospital bill is covered
because your Medicare card says hospital. Nothing further from the truth.
It's essentially room and board, is what your part A is.
It's essentially room and board. It covers a little bit
of long term care. It's got a little bit of

(18:45):
a you know, three pints of blood, so it's got
some components to it. BEV that that you know assists
in your health walk, your health journey. But essentially your
part A is room and board. Now part A is
going to come with a deductible. Let's define deductible.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
Because a lot of people hear that world what is that?

Speaker 8 (19:10):
Yes, yes, deductible is what you're going to pay out
of your pocket before the plan, before anything pays anything.
You're gonna pay that out of your pocket. The deductible
for your part A is over sixteen hundred dollars bail,
So that's what you owe out of your pocket. If
you're that person that says I'm gonna I'm just gonna

(19:32):
keep my medicare, I'm gonna just do traditional medicare. My
doctor told me to do traditional medicare. Get ready for
that Part A deductible of over sixteen hundred dollars. Let's
move to Part B. Part B has its own deductible
of two hundred and forty dollars plus here here's that

(19:52):
deductible word again, So that's over eighteen hundred dollars that
any person that says, I'm just gonna keep my traditional
medicare now a lot of you may have.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
It laid around.

Speaker 8 (20:04):
If you do, let me hold something, but a lot
of us don't, even working people, eighteen hundred dollars, you know,
is significant to come up with. It really is outside
of your daily responsibilities or your monthly responsibilities. So your
Part B has a deductible, Your Part A has a deductible.

(20:26):
Part B also has a premium. The premium for Part
B is one hundred and eighty five dollars bill. Wow,
sounds significant. But now what's this okay? Because we get
so much pushback about that, so many underlying, you know, objections,
hidden objections about that. And here's here's the thing that's

(20:50):
not a part of a Medicare advantage plan. I wanted
to clear that up this morning. So a lot of
singers think, hey, I signed up for that Medicare advantage plan.
Now I'm paying out of pocket. No, the federal government
requires every American, unless you qualify for Medicaid, to be
responsible for that part B premium. So that has nothing

(21:15):
to do with your C and D yet, so we're
still at B bell Okay, So it has a deductible.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
It's got that one hundred and eighty five dollar premium.
Now one would ask a senior would say, and I've
heard this so many times.

Speaker 8 (21:31):
I've worked all my life. Why do I have to
pay one hundred and eighty five dollars? Right because of this?

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Here's the news.

Speaker 8 (21:42):
It covers eighty percent of your healthcare eighty percent. Here's
an example. If you go in the hospital and your
medical bill is one million dollars bill, guess what's gonna
cover eight hundred thousand dollars of that million dollars?

Speaker 4 (22:03):
What your part B of the B? The B got.

Speaker 8 (22:06):
So that's why, and think about it. Think about it now.
You know you've heard me say this. My mother's last
hospital bill was one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars
and she was only in there for three weeks, hooked
up to no machines. She didn't even take the morphine,

(22:27):
So no morphinge, no machines, just in the hospital with
the breast cancer diagnosis three weeks and you mean to
tell me her bill was one hundred and twenty five
thousand dollars. So can you imagine what would happen to
you if you had to go on one machine in
the hospital. So you can't afford not to have something

(22:50):
that covers your other twenty percent.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
That's where we come in.

Speaker 8 (22:55):
Okay, So after your B and you know you pay
your premium, that's gonna cover you need that C and
D from Lori and the team.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
So it covers twenty percent with copays.

Speaker 8 (23:09):
So if you don't have full Medicaid, and I mean
it's got to be full Medicaid, full Medicaid.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
You're going to have to pay some copays.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
Here is what a copay is, because I think we
get those things interchanged between a deductible and what a
copay is. Right, So a deductible is money is of
course that you're gonna pay out of pocket regardless. Copay
is a cost share. So for example, your visit to
your primary care physicians, that's your PCP, that's your doctors,

(23:40):
your visit to your doctor's office is probably gonna cost
you anywhere between three hundred and three thousand dollars, right,
depends on what you have to do. If they're doing
labs all of that good stuff in your doctor's office,
that's probably what it will cost the company. However, it
only costs you zero to go and see your PCP,

(24:04):
regardless of what they do. When you go and see
your PCP on most plans, baith not all, but on
most plans, there is no copay to see your PCP. Now,
if you go and see a specialist, bill then for
the specialist visit it could range anywhere from fifteen dollars
to thirty five dollars to forty dollars.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
That's a copay.

Speaker 8 (24:27):
But to go and see a specialist, it could run
you off, you know at the very beginning, fifteen hundred
and two thousand dollars because it's a specialist. Okay, So
all your paying is a copey, meaning the thirty dollars,
the twenty five dollars. So that's how expensive the cost
of health care is. So when we're you know, having

(24:48):
to pay these copays, we should really be grateful about it.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
And see, I think we forget what we think, Ooh,
I gotta pay thirty dollars.

Speaker 8 (24:55):
That's too much, right when the drug itself, because I
mean there's cope on drugs as well. When the drug
itself maybe two thousand dollars. So that's putting things in perspective,
be of. So that is your part A, your Part
B has a premium, it has a deductible. Your Part
B is also the thing that pays the eighty percent.

(25:17):
So for individuals BEV who say I just want traditional medicare,
you are in for a treat with the twenty percent.
So we want to help you understand where you are
and what you're up against in terms of cost. This year,
Bath prescription drug plans they went through the roof. I

(25:40):
was on the show a lot of times trying to
help our seniors understand what was.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
About to happen.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
Yeah, this insurance is oh, BEV, here I am again, Beth.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
Okay, there's more news.

Speaker 7 (25:56):
Hold the news, lord, Okay, hold the news. Hold that news.
Take a break, because I definitely want to hear this
news because oh, these insurance companies.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
They are off the chase.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
Yes, yes, if you've just tuned in this morning, let
me say welcome welcome, Welcome. We are talking with Laurie Swanegan,
who is the CEO of the Benefits Solutions Group. She
is here to help you with your Medicaid that red,
white and blue card.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
People get confused, they don't know what's going on. Glori
is here to help you today.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
You can give her call here in the station nine
zero one five three five nine three four two eight
hundred five zero three nine three four to two eight
three three five three five nine three four to two.
If you can't call, you can email me your question

(26:53):
at BEV. That's b EV BEV and boy b e
V Johnson at iHeartMedia dot com. BEV Johnson at iHeartMedia
dot com. I will get your questions to Laurie. We
are talking about Medicaid and from the Benefits Solutions Group.

(27:16):
So you need to know the right information. So we
want you to call while Laurie is here. You're listening, Yeah,
you are to.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
W d I A the Bevjos.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Don't go away. The BEV Johnson Show returns after these messages.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
You need know over the town, work you know over
the town.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Working hard to bring you outa days now selling.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
Welcome back and today it is the Benefit Solutions Group Day.
The CEO, the Laurie Swanigan, is in the house to
talk to you at to your questions. Laurie, We're going
to our phone lines to talk to some of our listeners.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
Thank you all for waiting.

Speaker 9 (29:06):
Hi Diane, Hello Bell, How you doing.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
I'm doing fabulous, Diane.

Speaker 10 (29:12):
How are you miss Diane?

Speaker 9 (29:19):
Yeah, I've been listening for the last two years. As coming.
I got in my car and looked blue and so look, Uh,
I'm asking what I want to ask about first, I'm
you know, been too like web Berard talking about this

(29:41):
and everything, but I haven't did it as TV as.
But anyway, Uh, I've been listening to you and I've
been learning. I said, I got a called her when
it's time.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (29:53):
Way, Uh.

Speaker 9 (29:54):
I had one question about the Medicaid. How do you
qualify for the Medicaid and the medicare?

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Okay, good, good question.

Speaker 8 (30:04):
So the medicare with the red, white, and Blue card
when you get that Part A that means you've worked
ten years or forty quarters and Social Security determines that
the Part B you can pay for. So if you're
willing to do the one eighty five a month, then
you get Part B, so that's how you get your
A and B. So a lot of people think if

(30:25):
you get a plan, it's going to knock me off
of my Medicare. It's not possible because you've worked the
forty quarters to get it and you're paying for the
other Now, getting Part B paid for through a state program.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
So Medicaid is.

Speaker 8 (30:39):
Actually underwritten by the federal government, but it is a
state funded program. It's underwritten by the fans, but it's
a state funded program. The way the Medicaid works is
it's an income qualifier. So your income, if it's under
a certain amount, then you get to get Medicaid. So

(31:02):
what we do is once we determine you know that
you're you know at that threshold, we actually go to
the Social Security website and we do an application for you.
We wait about seven to ten days and it's a
yes for us because we know what the limits are
and the limits I'm glad you were on this because
the limits are different in every state. So just based

(31:25):
on your state, because we're in twenty seven different states,
so it's just based on your state. That's what everybody,
you know, call for yourself, so that we can kind
of do an assessment, see where you are, and then
we can.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
Get you qualified.

Speaker 6 (31:40):
Did you understand that, Diane, A phone kind of messed up.
You're still with me, Diane, A phone mess up. But
call me back, Dying if you need to have another
question for Lorik.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Okay, okay, you welcome, Dying.

Speaker 8 (31:56):
Make sure you call the four or five three number, Dying,
you go, Diane, do you you have no call today?

Speaker 9 (32:03):
I got the number when she was giving them. Okay,
so I'm calling today. Un Let somebody what they're gonna do.
Get me an appartment?

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Yes, so so we can do it.

Speaker 8 (32:13):
Whatever makes you comfortable. We can come to your home,
you can come to the office, or we can actually
call it. We can do it over the phone, whatever
makes you most comfortable. But the five six five zero
zero five six number will get you to me, and
the four five three six three four six get you
to our team who they're going to call you.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Back because we've had a whole conversation about it. So yeah,
they're they're waiting right now.

Speaker 10 (32:38):
Thank you so much, welcome, Thank you.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
Diane, and you too.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Bye bye.

Speaker 7 (32:44):
I like that, Dying says, I got my red, white
and blue collar.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Now what do I do all right? W D I
a HI caller?

Speaker 10 (32:53):
Hello, hire you on the air, Bell Johnson. Yes, see
with your gibt self jib, I'm glad you had a
safe trip. Two points. Happy your day birthday and my
birthday is tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Happy early birthday to you tomorrow.

Speaker 10 (33:17):
TC your jib.

Speaker 4 (33:21):
Okay.

Speaker 10 (33:21):
I owe her an apology. My name, my name is
Terry Smith, military veteran. We do some work together.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
Yes, yes, mister Terry.

Speaker 10 (33:32):
I just want to tell I just want to tell
other veterans. She is good. Her word is more than gold.
She means what she said when she says she can
help you veterans. Trust me, I'm a veteran. She's not lying. Well.
She took me through there, got me, got me thistle

(33:52):
mindset that the government owed me something and gave me
the real fact. And can she helped me sign up
Bell And when the letter came from VA confirming what
she said what happened. Yes, she would set in one
the truth. I couture endorsed her, and I beg other
veterans give her a chance. She will take care of

(34:12):
you and attract your situation.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
Thank you, mister TCO that you're forgiving Laurie, Lord, I
love you.

Speaker 10 (34:21):
I give in that room, Beth, and I said, her
mom fits you on the wall. I was like, I
was talking to her mom. She meant well, she said
her mom is a very humble, beautiful African American woman.
And I thank Lord for having the courage to help
others experience. But it was taken from her mom. Than
you don't love it. So so I'm blown away. And

(34:42):
Bell you said, jo, I.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Know I love you too. So TC, let me before
you go. So, Laurie, you are a veteran. And so
Laurie brought I.

Speaker 10 (34:52):
Brought her paperwork. I brought a copy to make father
legging to see that she was legitimate.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Correct, Okay, yes.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
Yes he did.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
Okay, So you're telling all those veterans if they are confused,
they don't know what to do, they need to call
Laurie or go buy Laurie's office.

Speaker 10 (35:09):
Yes, I promise you it is worth your visit. Veterans.
I promise you that.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Thank you, TC. We thank you with your jive said
bye bye bye bye.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
All right, Lord, I know I hope you hadn't forgot
before we went to break you had good news information.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Do you remember, Yes, Okay, good it was good news.
It was news.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
It was new.

Speaker 6 (35:38):
It wasn't good news, Okay, because there is a difference
between news, good news and bad news.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
Yes, so here's the news. Okay.

Speaker 8 (35:48):
The situation with you all this year was really, really,
really challenging. It is going to be even more challenging
as we face the upcoming annual en Roman period. I'm
telling you now, like I did, then, you need brokers

(36:09):
that you can trust. You need a company that you
can call directly. You know, if something goes awry, you
can call and tell Bavoi. But I'm begging every person
that's under the sound of my voice. I don't care
what state you're in, where you live, I don't care
whatever the circumstances are. You need to connect with the

(36:33):
Benefit Solutions Group. And I'll tell you why. So a
couple of the conferences that we went to.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
This year had the news. The people that looked like
me was between one and fifty. That's what the ratio was. Wow.

Speaker 8 (36:48):
So most of the agencies near and far, I'm gonna
tell on all of them, they don't even invest in
themselves to go to these conferences is and get the information.
So when the annual and roma period comes. They're running
for everybody with a red, white and blue cart. They

(37:08):
don't have the information that's going to help you survive
and thrive. So you need But guess who was there
with about twenty agents. That would be the Benefit Solutions Group. Okay,
so we got the we have the information that's going
to impact you for next year already. So I'm saying

(37:29):
to you now like we did before, the prescription drug
plans are really challenging, really interesting.

Speaker 4 (37:36):
You know, I had a client just last week.

Speaker 8 (37:38):
BEV prescription drugs ended up being thirty two thousand dollars. However,
under the threshold that they've created now with the government,
the maximum out of pocket, meaning the maximum amount that
he will pay is two thousand dollars. But under the
old drug plan, now, not only was it just two thousand,

(37:59):
well I'm saying just two thousands. Two thousands still significant,
but it wasn't the thirty two thousand.

Speaker 4 (38:05):
But even with the two thousand, we got him help.

Speaker 8 (38:09):
Okay, So we pulled in more programs, we got more
resources from the maker themselves. So if you are having challenges,
and I'm so sincere with this, you're having challenges paying
your prescription drugs. We need to hear from you if
you're having challenges when you don't know which way to

(38:31):
go with your plan, if you've had that plan for
the last five ten years, you need to make the call.
Some of those plans don't exist anymore, and you haven't
been to the hospital in a while. You maybe going
to your doctor's office, and you know your doctor's office
is gonna be zero. But the moment that you need

(38:53):
a specialist, Beth, it's going to be terrible. I don't
want it to get to a point where you're caught
off guard. So if you would make the call today
while you're you know you've got your health and your strength,
you got your mind, you know you've got the wherewithal
to at least pick up the phone. You need to
do yourself a favor today and call the Benefits Solutions GROUBEV.

(39:16):
Can I throw the number out, yes, ma'am nine, and
throw the address. Oh yeah, nine oh one four five
three six three four six. They are standing by. I
have everybody on point today to answer those phones. It's
nine zero one four five three sixty three four six.

(39:36):
If you can't get that number, here's another number to
call nine zero one five six' five zero zero five
six And veronica will get that message to.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
Me and and and because as you, said you said,
it you know the past months you've been On laurie
that the government has changed a lot of.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
Things oh my, god AND i know you get the
answers to help.

Speaker 6 (40:03):
People and because some folks have called your, says, WELL
i had this last, year but now this, is oh.

Speaker 8 (40:09):
My, god bab, inhaler, like something as simple as an
inhalerka went up from fifteen, dollars zero dollars to three hundred.
Dollars and if you're under that two thousand dollar, threshold
and you may fall into that. Category so it depends
on the you, know the maker of the, inhaler depends

(40:29):
on what the need is because you know they're different.
Inhalers but you know there's one inhaler out there that
went from fifteen dollars to three hundred. Dollars so your
meds are those prescription, Drugs i'm telling, You, bed they are.
Interesting here's another, thing beb That i'm found with these prescription. Drugs,
okay if you're that. Person Now i'm not a, doctor
So i'll say That i'm not a. Doctor i'm not

(40:51):
trying to be a, doctor BUT i have noticed a trend.
Slightly you, know when someone comes in and they're prescriptions
are such at such a low, level you, know five.
Milligrams everything you got is five. MILLIGRAMS i would go
get a second. OPINION i would go get a second.
Opinion that's almost like your own. Nothing but why so

(41:14):
many five? Milligrams you? Know so, Right be mindful of
not a, Doctor i'll say that. Again be mindful of
your mother and. Dad so Now i'm talking to the
daughters and the sons out. There be mindful of what
your mother and your father are. Taking go and get second.

(41:34):
Opinions never be afraid to get a second. Opinion i've,
had you, know situations personally where they have you, know
projected something and it ended up being something totally. Different
so going always have an open mind when it comes
to your health and go get second.

Speaker 6 (41:52):
Opinions and and Also, laurie because like you, said the
prescription drug they have gone up and and a lot
of times these insurance companies they don't want to pay.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Well, yeah and they're facing some. LAWSUITS i, mean you
can look it up on the. WEB i mean THAT
i don't get. Them it's all it's all the.

Speaker 8 (42:18):
Market it's applying, demand it's market shareot's you, know everybody's.
Here you know have to make a. Dollar and that's
why you need a trusted. Source you need an agent
that you can, trust somebody you can call because when
you call in to THE, tv you're never going to
get that agent. Again you look in your bank account
and it's going to be it could be minus several

(42:40):
hundred dollars because you made the call into a non trusted.
Source you need someone, local and The Benefit Solutions group
is local. Everywhere you, know WHAT.

Speaker 4 (42:50):
I needed doesn't need to be our. Slogan we're local.
EVERYWHERE i love. It you know what you might need
to do, That, LAURIE i like.

Speaker 8 (42:57):
That But, bill there are a couple other things THAT
i want to hit on because we have experienced them
quite a.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
Bit, okay let me tell you about home.

Speaker 8 (43:06):
Health, okay home HEALTH bev has been a topic of
discussion here lately with our. Clients they don't know how
to get home. Help so home health is. In i'll
say most of the medicare a vantage plans for a
zero dollar. Kope, Okay so you look in your plan

(43:27):
benefits and you'll see home. Help but a senior is
always confused about how DO i get home. Health it's
not just The, HEY i want some home health the
way that it works and here's your. Steps, now need
you to listen to. Me you are going to go
to your doctor's. Office you're going to share with, them

(43:47):
and listen to. Me daughter and, son if you're dealing
with your older, parents you need to tell the doctor
you know what the issues. Are if mom or dad
is unable to perform for the six daily, activities they
can be considered for home. Health so that doctor can
make a sole decision to write a. Script send it

(44:10):
over to The medicare advantage company or the men sub,
company whomever it is that you have your insurance, with
so well take it back because men subs are not
covered home, held so It's medicare, advantage so they can
write a script send it over to The medicare advantage
company saying that you require home. Health you need assistance
with daily, activities you need assistance with putting your clothes,

(44:33):
on or, eating or, mobility and they can send a script.
Over then once the script gets, over which is a.
Prescription once the script gets over to The medicare advantage,
company they will contact their.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
Vendor their vendor is then going to.

Speaker 8 (44:50):
Contact you and set up an appointment to come out
and assess. You once the assessment is, done the provider
and the vendor are talk it and guess what your
home health takes? Place, Okay so home health is not
just A i need some home. Help there are steps to.
Take here's the other. Thing so that's home, health. Okay chronic,

(45:12):
plans chronic conditions are arising more and more because of
THE i guess the prescription drug push and you, know you,
know you have a little high blood pressure here, there
you have a little pain in your, chest and they're
gonna automatically throw you on heart medicine or high blood.

(45:33):
PRESSURE i just went to the doctor the other day.
Myself the day before at an office was pray. PERFECT
i don't know If i've got white coat. SYNDROME i don't.
Know i'm going through it. Myself the very next day
at the doctor's, office my pressure was one forty over
one on. One so she immediately she, Says i'm gonna
put you on some high blood. Pressure you won't even know. It,

(45:54):
Right i'm gonna put you on. This i'm gonna put
you on. That it was four different prescriptions so FAST
i couldn't. Blink, wow asks, me HAVE i gone to get?

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Those?

Speaker 4 (46:02):
Now i'm not exactly, RIGHT i, understand.

Speaker 8 (46:06):
But if my pressure was perfect the day, before it
could have been any element throwing it off the next. Day,
so you, know we just have to be mindful of.
That but chronic, plans you have a chronic plan when
you have a chronic. Condition so although the ability to

(46:26):
write a senior at any, time it used to be every,
month you, know the first day of the following month
you could change. Plans THEN cms changed it to you
could change a plan every. Quarter this, Year bell they
changed it to after open, enrollment which Was march.

Speaker 5 (46:49):
Thirty.

Speaker 8 (46:49):
First it ended you really have to have a really
really serious situation to change. Plans one of those situations
would be a chronic, plan meaning if a person has,
diabetes there's potential there to you, know to be able
to go to a plan that fits your needs.

Speaker 4 (47:09):
Best if the person has no high blood Person i'm.

Speaker 8 (47:15):
Sorry heart, failure some heart, conditions or, diabetes and some
of the plans have fifty qualifying conditions for a chronic.

Speaker 4 (47:24):
Plan so there is help for.

Speaker 8 (47:26):
You so some agents will tell, you if you sign
up one, Time i'm gonna bust the myth bed AND
i know they're gonna be upset with. Me if you
sign up one time during the, year you can't sign up.
Anymore that is not. True you can sign, up but
there has to be a specific special election that allows you.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
To we have studied.

Speaker 8 (47:49):
Those The Benefit Solutions group can help you figure out
what that looks.

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Like if the plan that you're.

Speaker 8 (47:56):
In you, know we've gotten to a point now bev
here and may where there are some doctors that are
falling out of network with these. Plans so if your
doctor that you've had twenty years has fallen out of
network with a particular plan and we need to help,
you call The Benefit Solutions group for all of Your medicare.

(48:16):
Needs call The Benefit Solutions group nine on one four
five three six three four Six.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
And i've got one more, Bell, okay well actually TWO
i got. TOO i got.

Speaker 8 (48:28):
Too and we talk about this all the time about
our people that are. Retiring they're always confused, about, uh you,
know If i'm still, working DO i need A medicare avantage.
Plan the answer is, no unequivocally, no i'llever.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
Bear there are different.

Speaker 8 (48:48):
Circumstances so if you're still working and you want to
come off of your employee, coverage you're gonna have to
Have PART b now and they'll help. You you, know
we can help you with, that but you have to
Have PART b you can get off of. It or
if you're working and you're on your husband's coverage or
your wife's coverage and you want to come off of

(49:10):
it so that it'll make their coverage less.

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Expensive you.

Speaker 8 (49:14):
Can but the bottom line to this bed is if
you are still, working you do not have to have
something that covers YOUR bet because your employer. Does so
that's the bottom. Line but now here it is you
are getting ready to.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
Retire SOME.

Speaker 8 (49:33):
I had my sweet And, Pie Miss Carolyn. Brooks she
asked me the question just this. Morning, okay getting ready to,
retire thinking about, it you, know maybe next couple of
years in case her employer isn't. Listening if you are
getting ready to, retire then THE hr department is going

(49:53):
to give you the necessary paperwork to get Your PART.
B so you have to Have PART b in order
to have anything. Else you have to have YOUR a
AND b to get YOUR c AND. D so if
you're getting ready to, RETIRE i would do it. Now
whenever you're thinking it could be next, year this, year
two years from, now but whenever you're thinking about, RETIREMENT

(50:15):
i would do two. THINGS i would stop by THE
hr office because they're the ones that are gonna do
the exit. Interview they're going to give you your. Paperwork
when you get that, paperwork you're gonna have a PART
b form in that. Documentation that's when you call us
and we can start you on the correct, journey because

(50:37):
once you get off with This medicare, thing you're off
and you're you, know you listen to, everybody it's it's
not about, everybody it's about. You so thank you Miss
brooks for calling in this. Morning we're gonna get you
on the right. Track i'm excited about.

Speaker 4 (50:50):
It go and SEE.

Speaker 8 (50:52):
Hr the other thing that you're gonna do is you're
gonna Contact Social. Security, Sometimes, hey that many car comes
on in the. Mail three months before here is when
you have a decision to choose a. Plan three months
before your, birthday the month of your, birthday and three months. After,

(51:13):
however if you are. Retiring you have sixty plus days
to make a decision after you, retire so all of
this stuff is time.

Speaker 4 (51:21):
Sensitive, bell so you have to make a.

Speaker 8 (51:24):
Decision so you definitely need to get in touch with
us when you get ready to.

Speaker 4 (51:28):
Retire all, Right, lourie.

Speaker 6 (51:31):
And, again any last words and things you want to,
say and the telephone number and where you all are
located to stuff that good.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
