Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wakem It gets my day going and makes me lab I.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
It Mac and Schmitty in the morning on Star one
oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Good morning, Smitty, Good morning. Welcome into your Wednesday.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Starting out right now, Tim hovering right about.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Thirty degrees around most of West Michigan today, though may
see a little snow and rain mix as we'll see
a little warmer temperatures there.

Speaker 5 (00:28):
But yeah, fake spring was nice yesterday, wasn't this?

Speaker 3 (00:30):
It was a good fake spring last ed. We'll get
a few more fake springs worked in here and there.
But speaking of yesterday, Schmitty, how did little man's birthday go?
Are you full of cake or cake?

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Ice cream?

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Gosh?

Speaker 5 (00:42):
My mother in law made a seven course dinner. It
was stunning. We just had a packed house last night.
People came over. It was really nice though. We got
to have the windows open all day. We kind of
blew that funk out, as every Midwesterner will know, so
people were hanging outside.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
We were.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
It was just a really, really really lovely night.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Nice for clouds to open up and bring the sunshine
on your man's.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Birth He's got to play outside.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
It was just perfect, well, very.

Speaker 6 (01:09):
Cool movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Well, Maitland Ward who played Rachel on Boy Meets World,
is talking more about that very heated Pod Meets World
episode that dropped yesterday. If you missed Scoop, Maitland was
on the podcast, which is Danielle Fischl Ryder Strong and
Will Fradell. The episode dropped earlier this week, and Danielle

(01:39):
and Maitland really went at it, Maitland actually accusing Danielle
of being mean, saying, you have ignored me. You were
rude on set for Girl Meets World when we got
back together, Danielle saying that Maitland was simply using this
as a chance to get ratings and bring attention to
her own self. Well is talking with TMZ, saying, listen,

(02:03):
even though I thought we would be tackling lighter topics,
I don't really have any ill Will And honestly, the
person she's more upset with is wilfred Ell.

Speaker 7 (02:14):
It wasn't expecting to hear from her after such a contentious,
you know show and everything. I really was expecting to
hear from Will since I have been friends with him
over the years. So I think it's the most disappointing
with him because I feel like he kind of led
me to the slaughter, so to speak, since he was
my friend. And so I don't know right now. I

(02:37):
don't have any ill will towards her at all, and
I never did. I actually I was sure the best.
I sent her always nothing but love, and I always
have And I feel like a lot of times she's
just sent me back toxicity and return.

Speaker 5 (02:51):
Yeah, she said it felt like a very Regina George moment.
If you understand that mean girl's reference.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
It's too bad.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, you feel like all those characters behind the scenes, which.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Shatters my nineties innocents, doesn't it.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah, there's Ben Savage to clean this all up.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Drake has canceled the remainder of his Australia and New
Zealand tour due to what he's calling a scheduling conflict,
but fans are not buying this. The rapper actually left
Australia this morning local time, returning to his native Toronto.
He was still due to perform and Brisbane, Sydney and

(03:30):
a few other spots. The news comes after he was
seen partying well into the night a couple nights ago,
but then flying out on his private jet. All the
statements said is that Live Nation is actively working on
rescheduling the dates along with adding some additional shows, and
all tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Confused

(03:52):
fans very disappointed, with one saying why did Drake just
cancel the rest of his tour and fly back to Canada?
Drake still knew he had a bunch of commitments. How
do you not know your schedule months in advance when
you plan a tour like this, with other fans saying
Drake does this every single tour. Why are you all
so surprised? It is not a good pr move right now,

(04:13):
especially with things still pretty heated in this Kendrick Beef
not sure what's going on.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Well, that's what I was going to say.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
If Kendrick wants to put the nail in the coffin,
just fly to Australia and put on some free concerts
and it'll be over for Drake.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Finally, Apple, maybe in some hot water with the White House.
Have you seen these videos? Apparently part of the iPhone
voice to text feature, has users going wait a minute,
noticing that the iPhone will occasionally swap out the word
racist for Trump. So there are multiple different videos from

(04:51):
multiple different users across social media. When you voice to
text and say racist, it brings up Trump before automatically
switching it back to racist. Some don't think this is
just a simple glitch. They think, ooh, this may be
a bit of a bias in Apple's voice recognition tech.

Speaker 7 (05:09):
Now.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Apple has been staying very very quiet on this, but
a spokesperson did finally issue a statement to Fox News saying,
we are aware of an issue with the speech recognition
model that powers dictation, and we are rolling out a
fix as soon as possible.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Let me, let's see if it works here SCHMITTI, I
have my phone right here. Such a racist.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
It did not.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
It did not.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
It did not. I was hoping.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
I've got the videos up for you at West Michigan
Star dot com with all your scoops.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Sometimes does that get a good feeling? You know, when
life thrusts something your way and you take advantage, it
can turn into a beautiful thing. That's what we got
for you this morning, feeling good on Starmino Fine point
seven Mac and SCHMITTI. And it was a teenager down
in Millbury, Ohio, that I'm talking about SCHMITTI who became
a hero not once, but twice in a matter of

(05:58):
a couple weeks. His name is Gap Saltsman, and he
suffers from some physical and intellectual disabilities, but it was
not going to stop him from becoming a life saver
for multiple people, the first being his grandfather, Roger, who
was actually on his way to the hospital with chest
pains when he went into cardiac arrest. Gavin was with
him in the back seat and quickly performed CPR that

(06:21):
he had learned in school. Again, we're talking about a
eighteen year old. For about five minutes, Roger had actually
suffered not only a heart attack, but also it had
a stroke, and doctor said if he had not received
that immediate medical medical intervention from his grandson, that he
wouldn't be with us today. One life saved. Less than
two weeks later, Gavin is outs and his hearing aids

(06:44):
were turned up and he happened to barely just hear
a neighbor who had fallen and broken her leg outside
on a freezing cold night. He was able to rush
to her aid as well, making sure she wasn't left alone.

Speaker 8 (06:58):
I felt good because I say my Grandpa, and I
saved her because if she would have been out all
night it was late fifteen degrees that night, like she
could have died or be Fronz toda. I'm glad I
is good to help her a lot.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Yeah, And in that short order, a span of just
two weeks, he is a hero, not once, but twice,
honored by his community, but most importantly, his mom obviously
couldn't be prouder.

Speaker 9 (07:26):
There is no words that can describe how blessed I
am to meet Kevin's mother, like to see my miracle
baby be my dad's miracle like outstanding. I mean, there's
no words. No, I've never felt that before in my
heart before what I witnessed.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yeah, So a hero, not once, but twice.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Love that Detroit maybe the city that put the world
on wheels, but for a lot of people those wheels
are bikes. That's a project like the Joe Lewis Greenway,
which has been years in the making, is such a
cool thing. This is a twenty nine point seven mile
biking and walking path that will connect the Detroit Riverfront

(08:05):
to neighborhoods in cities like Camp Trameck, Highland Park and
Deerborn and of course named after the legend himself. And
Joe Lewis's daughter, Joyce Barrow Henderson, who serves on the board,
spoke with ABC seven, saying she may never have been
destined for the ring like her dad, that this is
the next best thing.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Getting in the ring was never a possibility for me.
So yeah, carrying on the work that went on well
after he exited the ring is very exciting. Joe Louis
was just this kid from black bottom Detroit, and he
became a symbol of excellence in a time where black

(08:47):
men couldn't hold their head up. Roses grow from concrete
in Detroit, and I think that that's a vitally important
story for this next generation.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Isn't that an incredible line? Roses grow from concrete. So
really excited for this to open. Even cooler that she
is carrying on Dad's legacy and.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
The d big time.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
I think Dad would be more proud that she was
doing this than whether or not she got in the
ring at all. Love that all right, feeling good coming
at you a couple times a day. We'll do it
again today at nine to twenty here on Star.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Mack and Schmidt.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
He's feeling good open your day with Positivity powered by
Overhead Door Company of Grand Rapids on Star one oh
five point seven.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
It's the Celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Well, Justin Baldoni's lawyers are back at it. His legal
team for the director and co star of It Ends
with us blasting Blake Lively for asking for that enhanced
protective order, especially given how Blake has publicly smeared him.
According to the team, even having her husband make that
joke over the situation on SNL.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
You knew this was going to come up.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
In a letter to a judge yesterday, Baldoni's lawyers accused
Lively of trying to keep crucial evidence from the public,
pointing out she's been anything but shy about her accusations
in the past. They're saying this is a very bold
move to keep the public in the dark because her
image is tarnished and she's trying to protect herself. In
the legal letter, they also point out what Baldoni's team

(10:19):
is calling a completely planned skit on that Saturday Night
Live fiftieth anniversary special If you missed it, Amy Poehler
and Tina Fey were on stage when they pointed out
Ryan Reynolds and the crowd and they said, Brian, how
you doing and he goes, great, Why what have you heard?
And everybody awkwardly laughs. They're saying that Lively's lawyers filing
this motion to keep high profile individuals and allegations private

(10:44):
because they didn't want potential witness tampering is all a
giant distraction.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
I just want these two to like get into some
sort of I don't know, ultimond warrior jousting meth.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
I mean, that's what this says. Millie Bobby Brown really
surprised fans over the last couple weeks with what many
are calling a mommy makeover, a very drastic change with
that platinum blonde hair, some fans even mistaking the twenty
one year old for someone's mom, while a lot of

(11:17):
people have said, oh, she's trying to look like Dolly
Parton or Sabrina Carpenter. There could be a much bigger
reason for this. There is speculation the Stranger Things actress
is channeling Britney Spears of mid rumors that she is
going to play the pop superstar in that big screen biopick.

(11:38):
This has been a lot of talk on the internet.
Her recent Instagram posts show her hair looking very y
two ks, as fans have pointed out, and there's a
new interview with Access Hollywood where Millie Bobby Brown has
reiterated her serious desire to play Brittany in that future biopick.
There's one specific picture I think I saw a couple
days ago where she is looks like Santa Monica Malibu,

(12:02):
somewhere in California, up against kind of a railing overlooking
the ocean, and a fan pointed out, this is the
exact look of a Brittany picture from two thousand and one.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
That's an interesting way to kind of pine for a roll,
a little bit interesting.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
It'd be very very interesting to see.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
She is an absolutely gorgeous young woman. That being said,
from the time, like from the time of Middle of
Stranger Things on, she's always looked to me like she's
thirty years old, Like she's always she always looks like
she's older than I think.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
She definitely looks aged up lately. I don't know if
I would say that forever, but it's there's some difference there,
and if you are trying to play Brittany, I do
see a bit of a resemblance. Finally, we have been
waiting to see our look at the new Nicole Kidman
movie Holland, and it's here. Prime Video released the first
official trailer yesterday. This stars Nicole Kidman, guyel Garcia Bernal

(12:52):
and Matthew mcfaden, and the bulk of the film was
shot in other places, but you will see lots of
Holland landmarks, including when mel Island, and a lot of
talk of tulip time.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
Every day I get to wake up in the best
place on earth, Holland, Michigan. Please tell me here he's
going to dance in tulip time this year.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
It may seem like we have everything altogether right under
the surface.

Speaker 9 (13:20):
It's like we're being strangled.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Yeah, it is actually more of a thriller. The film
is going to premiere at south By Southwest next week
before hitting Prime Video on March twenty seventh. Heads up,
this is rated r.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Is that the sound of clogs or murder?

Speaker 5 (13:39):
I'll tell you my biggest problem. Did you watch through
the whole trail?

Speaker 3 (13:43):
But I did appreciate all the traditional traditional Dutch where.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
She's not that for me, I hate the accents. They
leaned way too hard. That is not how Michiganders sound.
There's this one woman in it that's like, oh, tell
me that he's calling me Dionce and in then I'm like, no,
this is not Minneso. This is Michigan. But you can
see for yourself. The trailer is up for you right
now with your scoop at West Michigan Star iPad.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Good morning to you.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
It's back in Schmidty and young Will had a seventh
birthday yesterday.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
But you're saying you've got a warning.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
I do, because the way that this manager made it sound,
this is happening at stores across West Michigan. So yesterday
I had his big birthday gift was going to be
a lego Harry Potter set, one that he'd been looking
at for a while. He's very into that. Right now
we've got all sorts of Harry Potter sets that all

(14:33):
fit together.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
That's awesome, so cool.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
Yeah, he was looking at this and I finally found
it and it was, you know, a little last minute
I'll put that on myself, and I found it at
a big box store that will remain unnamed. So I
decided to put in this online order. There were a
few other things I was adding and then I'm gonna
go grab it. And I had to go to this
specific location all the way across on the south side

(14:56):
of the city. So this was not I went right
after the shows yesterday, nowhere near where I live, so
this was going to be a hike. And I get
there and I pick up my online order and it's
on me. I did not look in the back. There
were so many things in there. I grabbed it. I
needed to get home. I needed to decorate the house.
I wanted everything good to go before he got home
from school. So I get home and I hand the

(15:17):
back to Chris. He's going to wrap them, and he
opens it and he goes, did you check this before
you left the store? The lego box was open, the
lego was assembled, pieces were missing, and it was full
of dirt.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
They gave you the crappy one that got returned by
somebody else, didn't they like, I feel like that's the thing.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
I don't think it was returned. I think someone like
took this off the shelf, built it in the store,
put it back. And I was so annoyed because, like
any parent knows, it was we were on such a
tight schedule, as they said, you are kidding me. It

(16:00):
was an hour to get to this dang location. So
then I'm like, well, we have to go back. This
was his big gift. I mean, we've got to figure
this out. And this is besides the point, but it
took up my entire nap time, which was really really irritating.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Before you had people that night, right.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
So I go back to a different location of this
big box store and I talked to the manager. I said, hey,
I just bought this here. It's opened, it's built, it's dirty,
which is very odd. And she looks completely unfazed. She goes,
what location did you get this at? And I told
her and she goes, yeah, we were having quite an
issue with this at a lot of our stores. So

(16:37):
I really appreciate it. I'm going to give them a call.
We will refund you immediately. And I said, well, actually,
I'm wondering if you can swap this out, and she's like,
I'm really sorry, we're actually sold out of that one here.
So I ended up having to go to like four
different stores yesterday. Besides the point, heads up, apparently this
is happening with toys in all sorts of different spots.
Like I'm talking to this woman and I said, this

(16:59):
is so weird. She goes, We've been trying to kind
of nail down what's going on. But yeah, it's a really,
really big problem. We don't think these are being bought.
We think that they're something is happening in the store
and they're putting them back, and unfortunately this specific location
is not catching it and they're selling this product to people.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Ooh see, that's that's brutal and messed up that the
store might be in it. Because I have often been
of the opinion that stores will give you the box.
If you order online, they'll give you the damaged box,
they'll give you the one that was returned.

Speaker 5 (17:29):
And I try, and I love open box items. I
love them. I will buy tv We've bought TV's that way,
we bought stereos that way. Like if you check it
in store. A lot of times open box, when you
save seventy five percent off, the product is fantastic. But
a lego set, Are you kidding me? All you're doing
is making it a headache for the parents. I don't

(17:49):
know if you've ever gotten a defective item or you've
had a problem like this. If you've gone to a
West Michigan store, you've had this happen six one, six, four,
five eight one oh five seven. This this is my
personal PSA, check your stuff because there is some kind
of lego thief out there that's building the sets and
putting them back in the box.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
It makes me think of people who buy, like, you know,
five hundred piece puzzles and get all the way done
and realize that, for whatever reason, the box was missing
one or two pieces.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
So so happy birthday, will I hope you enjoyed that
charms set. It took month two hours just.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Going a fine point seven. It's Mack and schmidty, and
I don't.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Think it makes you petty when you find out that
other parents are screwing up their kids too.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Well.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
It's that age old lesson to be very very cautious
about what you talk about in front of your kids.
And we could learn that lesson over and over and
over again and still break that rule. It happened the
other day my husband pointed out that one of the
parents in our school district had posted about pinworm. I'm

(18:56):
not sure if you're familiar with this. I'm not going
to discuss it on the air because is that disgusting? Okay,
but we didn't know what it was and decided to
start googling it, and it's horrifying.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
In general, any type of worm. I don't want it.
I don't want it in me.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
This is about a hundred times worse than anything you're imagining,
I promise. And so we're sitting there and I'm going,
what what And we're trying to figure out, like how
does this spread? What do we need to like make
sure the kids are doing. And honestly, I'm not trying
to scare anyone. Just make sure your kids are washing
their hands. But I'd never heard of this, and we're
like Google imaging and just losing our minds over this

(19:32):
thing I never heard of in my life, not realizing
Will has listened to this conversation and he wakes up
the next day for school and he is terrified to
go in because he thinks that all of his friends
at school are.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Going to have warm sprawling out of that man.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
So just to heads up, you guys, I know that
we have these conversations to try and keep our kids healthy.
Just make sure your kids are not listening to that part.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
It's the celebrities gup on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Well will he or won't he? There's a lot of
conversation about Travis Kelcey returning to the NFL after that
major Super Bowl loss, and now we're learning some more
details about what happened ahead of that game. Brett Veach
is the GM of the Kansas City Chiefs and sat
down on the NFL podcast The Insiders, saying that Travis
was actually fighting a quote big illness before that Super

(20:35):
Bowl loss, noting he was not making excuses for the loss,
but Kelsey was battling a pretty big illness before that
February ninth game. He then said Kelsey's illness really didn't
make much difference to the score though. The Eagles just
played so well and it unfortunately wasn't the end of
the season that we had hoped for. But whether or

(20:55):
not Travis will be returning to the Chiefs was also
talked about each in front of a press conference yesterday.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
How we left having in the season is that he
was fired up. Yes, one more year under contract. I
still think he has that prior desire to play, and.

Speaker 7 (21:10):
As far as I'm the turner, there is no deadline.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
I think we left it as made me back, and
we're designed to get him back and get him, get
him known.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeah, you think he'd stick around. He's still under that
four year, fifty seven point two five million dollar contract.
Us be a reason for me to.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Stick around, you know.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
And he's a first ballot Hall of Famer for sure,
But I'd imagine that he doesn't want to end his
career on a sour note like that Super Bowl because
that was honestly one of the worst games that he
had played on the biggest stage. So I'm sure he
wants little vengeance from that.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
Well, we'll see, because there's also a lot of talk
that Travis is ready to be a dead uh. There's
been some interesting eyewitnesses that have come forward that were
at that restaurant Llette in New Orleans where him and
Taylor Swift dined before the Super Bowl, saying that there
was definitely baby talk. So apparently they were there with

(22:05):
Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, and there were a
lot of paybe pictures being shown. Of course, they just
had their third and it was something that Taylor was
very very interested in On that night, there was talk
that the group would be so so interested in her
starting a family. Taylor is not.

Speaker 8 (22:28):
On.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
Am I trying to say? Taylor is not on saying
that she wouldn't do it for the first time in years.
Her friends say she has no definitive planned, She's taken
a year off, no tours, no shows. Travis in it
for the long haul, and they both want the same
things forever, romance and a family, and her friends, at
least according to sources, are saying this is going to
be it. This is the time. I think it's perfect.

(22:50):
Their age matches up and they are both on the
same timeline.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Are we sure that they are just not taking the
very serious step of adopting cats together, Schmidty.

Speaker 5 (22:58):
I don't know, but she'd have enough. I need to
probably do that because on another thing I want to mention.
Market Watch has announced Taylor brought nearly a billion dollars
of publicity to the NFL since she began dating Travis.
Just to give you that number, nine hundred ninety two,
three hundred and sixty one thousand, nine hundred and twelve
dollars in less than two years, thanks to ticket sales,

(23:20):
merch and that big drive for female fans.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Well that out of just silence the chiefs conspiracy theorist
out there, Schmidti.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
All right, finally, I want to get to the big
Harry Potter news. John Lifgow has confirmed he's playing Elbis
Dumbledore in HBO's Harry Potter TV series. This might come
as a surprise to you, but it was reported earlier
this month that HBO is looking at doing a series
making each one of JK. Rowling's books into its own

(23:51):
TV season, so the show would plan to run for
seven of those seasons. John, in the interview said it
came as a total surprise to me. I got the
phone call when I was at Dan's. Not an easy
decision because this is definitely going to define me for
the last chapter of my life. But I'm really excited,
he said. Some wonderful people are turning their attention back
to Harry Potter. That's why it's been such a hard choice.

(24:14):
I'll be about eighty seven at the rap party, but
I have said yes, that's kind of the first casting
we've heard. We still don't know Harry, HARMANI and Ron,
but people are really really excited. We're thinking we will
see this twenty six, twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Who doesn't love John Lithgow one of the best.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
Interesting though, people are better he's American. They're really better
that they didn't go with a British actor.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Is it bad that I would if if you just
had him to a British accent, I'd be like, oh yeah,
John LITHGOWT he's British for sure.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
It's telling a fun point Chevin let Us battle Battle
of the Sexist time. Look at a land Ju checking
out Pat bennettar with hebby Neil Giraldo as they come
to shor an Eagle on Maintent.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
We need today's number one answer one hundred women surveyed,
name something you have to remove for se ccurity at
the airport.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
For me, the thing I always forget is my hat.
Like I always want to walk through the dang X
ray thing sitting there with my hat on, just for
the person to go, hey, buddy, tipping your head.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
You forget about it?

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Yeah, So heads up to parents, if your kids have
any of those like beanie toys or stuffies, that's gonna
look like something in the scanner. Oh really, yeah, because
my daughter has one of those. It's of stuffed zebra,
but it's got the beads that warm up when you
put it in the microwave and it smells like lavender.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Also must look like bullets or something, because we definitely
got taken into another room.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
I think we've got a mule here, folks.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
Six one, six, four eight, one oh five seven. One
hundred women surveyed names something you have to remove for
security at the airport? Four five eight, one oh five seven,
collar seven number one answer, You're going to Pat Bennett's
are with.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Star, Good morning Star. Who's this there?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Eric?

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Where are you calling from? This morning?

Speaker 3 (25:53):
Out?

Speaker 7 (25:53):
Rock?

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Eric? Gotta tell me.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
How women were ast name something you have to remove
when you go through security at the air Blakely, would
you like to see the answer that you got? Ooh, jewelry, Yeah,
from your stuff? Jewelry Actually the number four answer. I'm sorry, guys,
all right, thank you, thank you?

Speaker 4 (26:16):
Hi Star. Who's this?

Speaker 3 (26:17):
Amanda just got a good guess. When one hundred women
were asked to name something you have to remove when
you go through security at the airport, I just heard
young Blakely say jewelry, which you definitely have to remove sometimes,
but that was the number four most common answer. So
what do you think it is?

Speaker 4 (26:32):
Amanda?

Speaker 1 (26:32):
I would say cell phone?

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Well you'd say cell phone. Yeah, I gotta throw the
cell phone in there, remove the laptops from all the backpacks,
all of that fun. But that is actually not on
the list. Super weird, but thank you, thank you, Hi star, who's.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
This good morning?

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Speaking? All right, good morning. I've gotten a couple of
good guesses. But when one hundred women were asked to
name something you have to remove when you go through
security at the airport, so far, I've heard jewelry and
I also just heard your cell phone, both true, but
not the top answer. So what do you think it is?

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (27:07):
Both of them were in my in my list, but
one of the items.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
My wife's said was I don't even remember them doing.

Speaker 8 (27:13):
It's the shoes.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
You don't remember taking off your shoes. I get so
annoyed when I forget about it and then realize, oh, yeah,
I'm not wearing like comfortable slipoff shoes. I'm wearing boots
that you literally got to, you know, take off and
tie up for five ten minutes, right, in front of everybody.
But that's why shoes is the top answer when it
goes oh night, Yeah, you've got tickets for Pat Benattar

(27:37):
and Sori and Eagle.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Congratulations, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
You are very welcome and we're looking to get you
into when we battle again tomorrow. Battle of the Sex
is eight fifteen here on Starminar five point seven. Seven
on five point seven, it's Mack and Schmidte. I think
a lot of us have been participating in this trend,
unknowingly perhaps, but more and more people are apparently going
on dat at Costco.

Speaker 5 (28:02):
Probably the only time you can find a day night possibility.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
There are some pretty fantastic names for this is. Reddit
users have been calling it the Kirkland Signature date Nights,
which I thought was a pretty good right. There a
couple saying she has the chicken bake and I have
the hot dog, and then we spend two hundred dollars
and I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
See.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
I'm fascinated by that because I've I guess, going on
a date in Costco. I've never gone to the food
for it. We are filling up on samples. We are
there on a free day night.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
See.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
I do love the sample aspect of it. But the
date night that ten dollar pizza man, that's not a
bad deal anyway. I wanted to know, though, if there
are other stores that you would consider going to four dates,
because if it were the store that my wife and
I went to most often, Schmitty, it would be, without
a doubt, the home Depot.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
And what would we really be doing.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
We'd be walking around looking at things, pointing at them together,
probably holding hands since the romance. We'd be walking around
and we'd be like, well, we could do that with
one of our bathrooms. Ooh, that light might go well
above our staircase. And it would be a whole lot
of just walking, looking and pointing, with very little action

(29:07):
getting done.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
That would be hard date.

Speaker 5 (29:09):
You don't do date night at home Depot. You search
for dates at home Depot. That's like every single woman
you talk to. There's a whole trend on TikTok where
it's like, go to home depot, find herself a boyfriend.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
As a ginger who's pale. Orange is not my color.
I couldn't pull that off in home Depot I was
working there, Schmitty.

Speaker 5 (29:26):
I do like that you put this on Facebook and
our dear friend Mike Schwartz said it's a tie between
Meyer and Megabev. I gotta say, Mike, I would not
hate a date to Megabev. They've got all the things
you need.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
I like Marshalls from Nikki. You go to Marshall's. Oh
you know what, We just came out of here with
brand new wardrobes and we only spend sixty two dollars.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
That's a date right there.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
I don't think there's any place Chris and I would
date because he hates nothing more than shopping with me.
You love Taco Belle Pasco shopping. He hates Taco Bell shopping.
He hates Meyer shopping. I am an oversized toddler and
he does everything when I'm at work.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
So tell me then that the date night for you
guys is in bass Pro Shops. You know, he loved
to take you to a real nice, romantic bass prora
any think.

Speaker 5 (30:12):
But the first time I called it at a lur
instead of a lure, he'd be like, why did I
marry you band for life?

Speaker 6 (30:25):
Sometime because I'd get a good feeling.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Well, let's do it helping you power through this Wednesday
with feeling good right now and starting a fine point
seven What's happened schni Well.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk has left fans weeping over his
emotional post about his shared grandson with former Nirvana frontman
Kurt Cobain. So, if you were not aware, Tony's son
Riley and Kurt's daughter Francis Bean tied the knot last

(30:57):
year and welcomed baby boy into the world. While it
was a very beautiful moment, the other day, when Tony
Hawk took to his Insta stories and showed a picture
of a concert ticket, a ticket stub from a Dirvana
show that he went to back in October of nineteen
ninety one in Houston, he reflects, went straight from an

(31:20):
SUSA event in Houston's Skatepark to this concert in nineteen
ninety one. It was as transformative as live music can
possibly be. We all experienced something rare and powerful that night.
The world would never be the same. I wish Kurt
were here so he could see the incredible woman his
daughter has become, meet her devoted, caring husband, and hold

(31:43):
our wondrous grandchild sharing a few pictures of the family.
Is that not the sweetest thing ever?

Speaker 3 (31:51):
I mean, as somebody who loved Tony Hawkins kateboarding and
loved Kurt Cobain and Dirvana and the grun scene during
that time. I think it'd be so weird to play
that one game. What if Kurt was still here?

Speaker 4 (32:02):
What if? You know, obviously, I.

Speaker 5 (32:03):
Don't think it's a one if game. I think it's
I wish, I do wish in my heart of hearts
that you could see the legacy that is continuing in
your name for your incredible daughter in this family that
she's starting. Like they talk about him all the time.
They say, it's just really cool.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Well such MINDI all right, Rhode Island good samaritan who's
actually worked on community projects across the country and has
seen the struggles of the shelter system first hands, and
when it happened in his own community, he decided to
take things upon himself. His name is David O'Connor, and
he was trying to help this homeless assistance nonprofit in

(32:36):
his ome community there in Providence after it had shut
down for the second time in a month due to
mechanical problems, when there were plenty of homeless people who
needed a place to go cold weather to boot going
along with it as we of course had some wicked
storms back in January across the Northeast as well. So
what did he do well, He decided he was going
to take it upon himself and actually started booking Airbnb,

(33:00):
hotels and other temporary housing for more than one hundred
and fifty individuals. And he's continued to do it since
then too, because the need is so great there. And
while he you know, is happy to get some assistance
through a crowdfunding campaign that's already got over twenty thousand
dollars as people join his mission, he says this is
not the ideal way to do things on the fly,

(33:22):
as he told local news ABC six.

Speaker 10 (33:24):
But the reality is if I be able to do
these things and see positive change as one person with
the support of some others, then if we have six
months to plan, you know, there's no reason why this
is going to continue next year.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, they're hoping to address this as it continues before
the weather turns cold again in the late months of
the year, and hoping to bring more organizations on board
as well. But just one person out there doing everything
they can to help others. Great mission, feeling good coming
at you. A couple times a day. Let's do it Tomorrow,
six forty five and nine to twenty here on Star

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Mack and Schmidty in the morning weekdays starting at six
am on Star one oh five point seven and
