Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wakem It gets my day going.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
It makes me laugh.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Mac and Schmitty in the Morning on Star one on
five point seven. Hey, good morning, Welcome into your Wednesday.
Almost half way through this week, and you know what
the heat is on? Here we go, the heat wave
coming our way. And I swear yesterday, Smitty, yesterday afternoon,
at about three point thirty four o'clock, I feel like
a switch flipped because I felt like it was very
(00:32):
bearable for a little while, and then all of a sudden,
it was oppressive humidity. And now that's all I felt.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
We were out last night. I still thought it was stunned.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
We were out at the Rock for dam We went
to the Blue Series with the kids and my in laws.
We were out on a patio having food.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
It's still good. It's still good.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
However, walking outside your door this morning, you're gonna start
to go, oh, yeah, I forgot.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
It's not just the heat. It's that mugginess, y'all, without
a doubt.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
So I'm sit in the mid sixties right now, his
today about ninety. But this is when you know, Matt
Kirkwood and those wonderful folks over at Woodsba start using
that feels like termin He said, that feels like low
to mid nineties today with that humidity too. And that's
before we build into tomorrow, which is gonna be dangerously hot.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
All right, so you guys wait for our West Michigan
wake up. I've got a full timeline for you. It
includes potentially canceling those beach plans. So we're gonna hear
all about that coming.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
Out, movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
It's the celebrities goop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Man, this is one of those celebrity passings I saw
literally everyone post about yesterday. Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne has
passed away at the age of seventy six. In a
statement from his family, they write, it is with more
sadness than mere words can convey that we have to
report our beloved Ozzie has passed away this morning, surrounded
(01:56):
by love. They did not give an official cause of death.
Of course, he had been dealing with Parkinson's Pretty Rock
and Roll to be able to do your Farewell Tour,
their farewell show just a couple weeks ago and then
pass on. The statement, signed by Sharon Jack, Kelly, Amy
and Lewis. Of course, he leaves behind Sharon and the
kids and a multitude of grandkids. Absolute legend and the
(02:20):
amount of celebrity tributes pouring in. I mean, this goes
to show just the spectrum of people that owe their
talent to him, Metallica, WWE superstar Chris Jericho, even Elton
John who said he was a dear friend and a
huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of
(02:44):
rock gods, a true legend. He was also one of
the funniest people I have ever met, and I will
miss him dearly. So this is just a really, really
tough loss. Faster, I'll be honest, than I thought it
would happen.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I mean, I think that would be true for just
anybody who saw him rocking so hard, so great.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
At that Farewell show. I know it.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
We've got a lot to get to. I'm gonna have
some really really emotional reaction. I'll talk about his West
Michigan connection. But once again, Ozzy de ceased at seventy
six this morning. This will be very interesting. A major
update in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The Department of Justice
wants to talk to the X.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced they want to sit
down with Galaine Maxwell. They want to know anything and
everything Maxwell has to offer about potentially uncharged third parties
who may have participated in Epstein's criminal enterprise. They said
that they expect to meet with her in the next
few days. This has gotten very interesting. Last night, I
(03:51):
believe the chambers were kind of closed down for the
night because of how many people were demanding more of
these Epstein files be investigated. That transparency has not been
a thing a part of this. This is really really
something else. We've also heard from Jeffrey's brother Mark, who
is now back out in the spotlight, pushing his belief
(04:12):
that Jeffrey was actually murdered in federal prison and did
not take his own life.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
You know, I think the most ridiculous part about like
the Justice Department to get a meet with Jesseille. I'm sorry,
but Glaine Gallaine, excuse me. She was arrested during the
Trump administration, I want to say, or at least that's
when Jeffrey, I know, lost his life in prison. However
that happened there, but like there's been access to this
woman for years. Why are we pretending like.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
There's a bunch of people yelling out loud online that
they don't believe anything that anybody says.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
What I'm saying, though, is what could the FBI and
Justice Barba not already have asked her?
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
That makes no sense.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
All right, Let's get to Snoop Dogg on a lighter note.
He's gone country people, That's right. The megastar rapper recently
joined Zach Brown Band for an interesting cannabis anthem video
just dropped. This is at the Desert five spot that
is in Hollywood. Of course, Zac Brown Band gearing up
for their Love and Fear album as they're going to
(05:14):
be kicking off at tour a part of that too,
and I think it sounds pretty sweet. That was the
let It Run collaboration and I'm telling you guys, the
video is worth it because Snoop comes with his most
(05:36):
favorite prop. If you know what I'm saying. I got
the video up with your Scoop at West Michigan start.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Up out Point seven. It's Mack and Schmidey always looking
to make the day a little bit better and John
Ball Zoo. While they're doing that for every big animal
lover here in West Michigan. Because this is some very
big news figuratively and literally, as the zoo has announced
plans to open a news stay in the Yard Giraffe.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yes, stoked, very.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Cool new exhibit expected to open in twenty twenty eight,
give me the largest in the zoo. Actually, so this
is major, all right. It's going to feature a winding
forested path that will include panoramic views of these simulated
African savannah. That's also going to allow visitors, of course,
to be able to feed those awesome drafts and their
really cool black tongues and ostriches and other animals that
(06:22):
will be a part of this exhibit. Now. John Ball
Zoo says the exhibit is possible only thanks to a
fifteen million dollar gift from the Bill and b Idema Foundation.
Item Did I say it wrong again? I even looked
it up and listened to it. The Bill and b
Itema Foundation Schmidi. John Ball Zoo CEO Peterrenzi Direnzio said
(06:42):
the statement, thank you to the Foundation for its continued
support to our commitment to save wildlife and wild places.
This expansion will be a powerful symbol of conservation in action,
and it will connect children and families with one of
our most iconic species in unforgettable ways. And that is
a very eloquant way to say, we're all stoked to
(07:02):
go see Red Cool.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
All right? Sam heistand is her name.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
She's a twenty seven year old mom, but it's a
video from just about a year ago that she's recently
posted of the first time her hubby got to see
the ultrasound of their pride and joy. And I've got
to assume this is just about every guy realizing how
powerful the body of a woman truly is.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
This is on TikTok. It is so brilliant. Look at him.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
It just like kicks off the wall that looks like oh,
and he's in water, so he's just floating in there.
Look at his arms.
Speaker 6 (07:42):
She was waving on the kickoff again as dancing.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
I always got to do something. Look him.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
This is blowing my mind.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
This is blowing my mind. It is brilliantly cute.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Over a million views already and it's such a proud
popa moment I had to share it. I'll post it
up so you can see what little babe is doing
as he's like what wow, oh yeah. At one point
calls him a little alien. I can't believe you get
a little alien in there. West Michigan Star dot com.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Feeling good, always here to brighten your spirits and brighten
your day. It was the awesome things going on out there.
Let's do it again this morning.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
That nine's what movies, music and all the gossip in
one place.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Passing of a rock legend as Ozzy Osbourne has passed
away just a couple of weeks after that farewell show.
He was seventy six years old. His family issuing a
statement yesterday saying, it is with more sadness than mere
words can convey that we have to report our beloved
Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was surrounded
(08:51):
by love that was signed by Sharon Jack, Kelly Amy
and Lewis. Lots of celebrity tribute pouring into this rock god,
of course course Black Sabbath, receiving numerous accolades over the years,
two Grammy Awards, a two thousand and six induction into
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But we do
know Ozzie did struggle with substance and drug abuse throughout
(09:13):
the years, and he has always always said that his
beloved wife, Sharon Osbourne is the person who saw it
through it all. They actually got engaged right here in
West Michigan back in nineteen eighty one. Ozzie popped the
question to Sharon and no other than Kalamazoo after a show.
The two married in nineteen eighty two have been together
ever since, and it's very poignant. Sharon actually did an
(09:36):
interview just a couple weeks ago with The Magnificent Others podcast,
and I thought these were very sweet words about her husband.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
You can't dislike him. He had the best smile in
the world, the best smile. He would smile at you
and you know you just like did want to hug him,
and he always remained. He still is a fan of
music and other musicians. He's a huge fan. I think
that people got the sense of him that he's very
(10:06):
genuine when he says I love you.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
He does very sweet. Ozzie's seventy six years old.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I think it's pretty incredible that, of course he and
Sharon got engaged here in West Michigan. That's really cool.
I think What's amazing too, is that he got to
watch his daughter get engaged backstage at that big farewell
concert that he just did a few.
Speaker 4 (10:26):
Weeks ago, said Wilson of slipknot actually proposed yep backstage.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
I mean, what an important thing to be there for.
I mean, in addition to that, just insane farewell to him.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
David Letterman is not staying quiet following the news that
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is coming to an end.
But instead of issuing a statement, he's done it a
little differently, letting some of his old jokes do the talking.
So the show's former host posted a video montage to
YouTube featuring different clips of him roasting CBS throughout his
(10:59):
two decade run on the late night show.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Here is an example.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
It was the very reason Paul and I wanted to
come and do our show here at CBS say that
it was because of our love for CBS coverage of
NFL football. So all right, the football now goes to Fox.
God bless them. And now, like a couple of days ago,
Fox announces they're taking about eight of CBS's station. How
about that these are just little things we can overcome somehow.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
Here is the detail the fans are pointing out. If
you read the caption on this YouTube montage, it literally reads,
you can't spell CBS without BS ooh.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Who Honestly, those guys are taking it from everywhere. I'm
not sure if even after this whole merger thing gets done,
what shape are they going to be in after this?
Speaker 4 (11:46):
And that this was two nights ago that we saw
all of the Late show hosts show up. We had
John John Stewart, we had Oliver, we had Fallon Kimmel,
Seth Meyers, all in that front row for Colbert's opening montage.
So this will be very, very interesting. That merger, by
(12:07):
the way, paramount with sky Dance Media that still needs
regulatory approval from the FCC, which is why a lot
of people believe the President may have had a little
bit of a hand in this. Finally, Mariah Carey announcing
brand new music. Her new album Here for It All,
will be releasing and this looks really really good, but
(12:32):
given a little tease to fans on Instagram, but here's
what I love. Here for It All is going to
be released September twenty sixth, which just happens to coincide
with the exact day of the thirtieth anniversary of her
album Daydream. So fans think this was purposeful. They think
there's going to be some kind of huge celebration, but
(12:55):
this is going to be really good. Anderson Path one
of the producers on this album, which people are really
stoked about.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Now.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Mariah, I mean, I'm excited just because that voice, just
when it belts out like that, nobody does that like her.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
She's the queen all of your celebscoop at West Michigan.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
STARTACA and you brought it up Schmitty. Something that's always
a little bit sketchy, a little bit daunting selling stuff
online to strangers.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
And I've never done this.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
I have never There's a couple of things we've bought
from like a Facebook marketplace or things like that. I've
never sold anything. And I think a lot of that
is because I don't want people to know where I live.
A lot of times still need to come and pick
up said item. But you guys know that we have
been trying to sell our fishing boat and there's been
quite a few people that have come and looked at it,
(13:40):
this and that. But then last week, like midweek, I
think Chris got a message from a gentleman in Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Oh, I already don't like them.
Speaker 4 (13:50):
So this is how we both feel. We're both very
much like uh. But this guy is like, hey, came
across this in one of the fishing forum yeah that
Chris is also a part of. And he's like, they
do this all the time. He said, this is the
exact fishing boat. I'm looking for everything that You've got,
your rigs, the setup. This is exactly what I'm looking for.
(14:12):
So he was good on the price, and he said,
let's do this. And so Chris obviously starts doing the
social media creeping. And the gentleman has a very interesting
kind of name and he owns a restaurant allegedly in Cleveland.
So he's going through his Facebook first. He's like, Okay,
(14:33):
none of this really looks like a bot to me.
None of this looks like AI. Yeah, he's well, like
even deeper than like, I've never been prouder.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
I am a I am a social creep.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
Like you can give me one person's name and I
will deep dive for ten minutes and find out like
their siblings, where their parents met?
Speaker 1 (14:49):
How twenty times do you go to your dentist average
for years.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
To Chris did a really thorough job on this. He
found two articles about this guy's restaurant. Nice and then
he's like, but again, AI does everything now, so could
he have simply put this together. I'm like, I don't
know if he would go to that length to scam you.
At the same time, the price of this boat, in
(15:14):
my opinion, is just enough that we could get scammed. Yeah,
it's it's we're not talking a couple hundreds.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
And then he found a magazine.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
He ordered a magazine to see it, and there's an
article about this gentleman and his restaurant in the Megaic.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Because we got it yesterday. Chris was like, look, babe,
I really don't think this he's a scam.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Has he done the handwriting comparison yet? Perhaps serious get
an audio matchup whether or not the vocal patterns are
the same.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
In this guy is coming here to West Michigan on Saturday.
He's like, I'm going to take off at like four am.
I'm going to drive up from Cleveland. I've got cash
in hand. So then yesterday Chris calls our bank and
he's like, hey, can you give me some tips? And
the woman's like, Okay, here's the safest way to do it.
So far, everything you're telling me doesn't sound like he's
trying to scam you. And so we're just out here
(16:05):
and he goes, well, I'm going to take him out
on the water to test the boat. I said, well,
I know you're taking somebody with you because I've seen
the cregslist Killer Mike, there's all.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
It's just so strange, GPS.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
I want to know and honestly, gut move.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
I bet this is a super nice dude that has
never gotten a fishing boat and found a super great deal.
But there's never a zero percent chance that he's not
going to dexter you out on Lake Michigan, right.
Speaker 2 (16:29):
I mean, so it's never zero, It's never zero.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
And I'm curious if you have good advice about buying
or selling online, because this is honestly our very first
big transaction.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
For something like this.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
See it's really interesting that you say that, because when
I am buying something or selling something that is sort
of family oriented, like we recently sold some couches in
a bedroom set, we allow people to just come to
our house and get them. Oh my gosh, yes, because
we checked them out. They're all like neighbors. They're literally
people who were.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
So they already knew who you were and what you're doing. No, no,
these are strangers, but strangers that would freak me out.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
Yeah, see, I don't know. I guess I did. Again.
We did the little background check and we're like, yeah,
these kids, these kids go to our kids' school, Like,
we don't know who these people are, but they're also
because you're you're looking in your area, it wound up
working out fine. That being said, I also bought something cheaper.
There was just a pair of I was looking at
a pair of Apple AirPod pros and I did not
(17:28):
want to meet this guy at his house because the
price was really good, and I'm like, nah, I want
to meet you in public.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Hold on a second, Yes, time out. You bought someone else's.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Headphone, no brand new in the package.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
Okay, Oh you're you're filthy. We don't need to get that.
In a different conversation, theres are.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Not something that you can buy used. You know, anything
that goes in your ear is yours forever.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
I'm curious six one six, four five eight one oh
five seven. Have you had either really good experiences with
selling online, or give us a call and say, hey,
I got scammed.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
This is what happened. Be so careful.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
I'm really looking for advice because this is like the
biggest thing we've done with an online purchase. And I
just I try to be everyone's mate in God's image,
but I'm also I watch crime documentaries and I know
how this goes. So give us a call or hit
up that talk bag button on our free iHeartRadio apps.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Six one six four eight one oh five seven. I
will tell you this, Schmitty. Because he's coming from so
far away, you've got all the power. When he gets
there and he wants to negotiate it all, you're like,
uh uh, because nobody's driving from Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Negotiating is done, it's over. We're dude.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
This guy's already we've got bank numbers allegedly. So if
I if I'm not here at work on Monday, you'll
know something went sideways.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Y'all.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
I'm goodvoting to you. It's Mack and Schmidty always trying
to make you feel slightly better about your own parenting
skills by just owning up when our parenting fails.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
And this should make you guys, feel great because your
four year old and seven year old aren't walking around
with tattoos that haven't come off, right.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
I thought, you're gonna mention Sharpie's, he said, permanent. Was
not sure.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
We went with the tats.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
My in laws are in town and they brought a
present for the kids, which is very cool. It's like
a rock painting art kit, and my kids are obsessed.
We were outside all day yesterday. I think we painted
something like seventy four different rocks. But part of this
package are the paints and then these really cool They
look like stickers, but you were able to put them
on rocks and then wet down a sponge and then
(19:22):
it's permanent to the rock. And they had stars and
diamonds and smiley faces and words. It was really cool.
And so they got tired of doing it on the rocks,
and we're like, well, can we put them on ourselves?
And I thought why not? Like, I'm sure it'll wash
off in the path. No it hasn't. It all so
even better? These are all gold. So when my daughter
(19:44):
showed up for soccer camp yesterday, all of her arms
and legs literally glowed in the sunlight.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
You know, I hope if your kids are gonna get
tattoos that young shmitty, they at least get the like
stereotypical mom tattoo, oh bikes.
Speaker 5 (20:04):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Well, our Detroit Lions are officially in training camp, gearing
up for another NFL season, and I know there was
a little bit of concern yesterday when news got out
that Lion's head coach Dan Campbell had actually kicked a
player out of practice yesterday and then ended practice early. Okay,
so here's the deal. It turns out things just got
(20:35):
a tad to physical for Daddy Dan, and he's like,
y'all need to take a step back and we need
to just be a beat out of this.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Take a breath.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
So yesterday Woodward Sports in Detroit actually sat down with
Nolan Bianki, who kind of gave a rundown of exactly
what happened.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Yeah, it was just a little rough.
Speaker 7 (20:52):
You know, like you got a lot of guys out
there who are fighting for jobs obviously, and you know
they're playing every play like it's their last because they
kind of have to do that to make the team.
And I think today was kind of just I've never
seen a player get kicked out of a practice before
in my four years of doing this, so I think
today was just kind of an anomaly. And all it
really was was like a couple of bang bang plays.
(21:15):
There were two plays in Branch that come to mind
where you probably should have let up and you could
tell Tim Patrick wasn't very happy with the contact that
was made on the play. And then there was two
plays by reserve safety Maurice Norris that kind of, you know,
were the catalyst for Campbell pausing the practice to kind
of say, hey, everybody cut it out, like this is
(21:35):
getting a little bit out of control. But there were
no injuries suffered.
Speaker 4 (21:38):
Yeah, safety Maurice Morsey Norris was the one who was
actually kicked out of practice. Campbell had to stop multiple
times a reminder, Hey, we're out here to let you say,
eat knee caps, fight knee caps, but like not literally,
we really would like everyone on the field ready for
that first game.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
No, we saw how much injuries killed the Lions at
the end of last year. We already lost his starting
defensive line in for the entire year to a blown
ACL but cannot be messing around with this guys.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
All right?
Speaker 4 (22:05):
Ozzy Osbourne dead at seventy six this morning, with so
many celebrities paying tribute the legendary Grammy winning rocker passing
away with family at his side. Family releasing a statement
yesterday he was surrounded by love, and I'd mentioned we
saw so many people and such a wide variety of
(22:26):
people like Metallica, WWE s Chris Jericho, Elton John calling
him one of the funniest people he's ever met and
such a good friend. But I thought this was really cool.
It was Michigan's own Alice Cooper last night that actually
had a show in Wales, two hours away from Ozzie's birthplace,
actually found out the news just moments before they hit
(22:48):
the stage.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
This one's what do.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
I mean?
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Just keep hearing the same thing over and over again.
He was such an inspiration to the artists and the
music seventy six years old.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
You know, it's amazing because the guy had kind of
like this larger than life and somewhat controversial persona, right,
the King of darkness and the difference of darkness. Yeah, yeah,
and yet so beloved by so many people. And you
hear the same things out of everyone's mouth. Just a gentle,
incredibly kind person.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
So I posted this to my TikTok last night and
a ton of people were talking about it.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
He was truly generational.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
I knew him like whenever I hear paranoid, I think
of Penny Lane and Almost Famous. My most favorite movie.
I grew up with Black Sabbath on Vinyl. My dad's
a huge rock and roll fan. And then if you
were a millennial, you watched The Osbornes. It was the
very first time I was actually allowed to watch MTV
because my dad liked the show.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
You watched the Prince of Darkness running around talking cute
to his dogs.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Not always talking cute.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
There's a lot of potty language in that, but just
really really sad passing this morning. Finally, ex astronomers CEO
Andy Byron could actually sue Cold Play over the fallout
from his kiss cam fiasco.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
Here is the deal.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
Legal experts are talking about the fact that, yes, indeed,
Byron could actually launch a lawsuit for defamation. So defamation
is a statement, either written or verbal, that injures a
third party's reputation. They say, when Byron and his HR
Officer Kristin Cabot were caught canoodling at Coldplay show last week.
(24:26):
When Chris Martin said either they're having an affair or
they're just very shy, he called him out. Here's the problem.
If you're doing to do a defamation suit, you have
to prove there was not an affair, which obviously doesn't
seem to be the case. You would also have to
prove that Martin knew or should have known, that a
statement like that would disgrace your reputation. None of those
(24:48):
elements will probably be met, so it would be a
frivolous lawsuit. However, not out of the question, especially if
you think the band would just be like, here's some money.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Be quiet. Weirder lawsuits have certainly been filed, but I
don't think this guy wants to pring Moor as agent
to this.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
All right, all of your celebscoop at West Michigan Star
dot Com Battle.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Of the Section is looking to get you over to
our Allegan County Fair and watching none other than Neo.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Coming Back Day. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Best is the fact that Neo is headlining September twelfth.
Is the date you're there with Today's number one answer
that'll question. One hundred men surveyed names something people lose
on a roller coaster.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
I don't know, but I know you don't go get it.
Whatever each you lose, don't go get it.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
I gotta tell you this is where my husband did
his bachelor party Cedar Point and his buddies between them
collectively dropped their phone four times, got it back every
single time.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
That's impressive, at.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Least theater points shout out to that staff. Six one, six, four, five, eight,
one oh five seven. One hundred men surveyed named something
people lose on a roller coaster?
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Caning Star?
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Who's this Mary?
Speaker 3 (25:52):
Mary?
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Where are you calling from today?
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Wiley him?
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Mary?
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Gonna tell me? One hundred guys. Whereas to name something
people lose on a roller coast? What do you think?
The top answer is the sunglasses? I've lost a pair
of that before, But sunglasses is actually the number four
most common answer. Sorry, Mary, you too, Hi Star, Who's this? Lika, Lisa.
(26:16):
When hundred dudes were asked to name something off people
often lose on a roller coaster, Mary just told me sunglasses,
which was the number four most common answer, but not
the top one. There, Lisa, what do you think it
is their shoes. Yeah, when you're especially when you're on
those ones where they dangle. You know, you wore flip flops.
You thought that was a good idea. Not so much.
But shoes is not part of the top five. I'm sorry,
(26:39):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
Hi star.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
Who's this? Lindsay? Lindsey, I've had a couple of good
guesses when a hundred guys were asked to name something
people often lose on roller coasters. I've heard sunglasses and
I've heard shoes, neither of which were the top answer, though,
So what do you think it is? Lindsay? Can I
go with?
Speaker 5 (26:55):
How about hat?
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Putting it on your hat? You know I have lost
up multiple hats to roller coasters, and that's is just
an insult to yourself, right because you should know better.
What are you doing? You're wearing your hat, You're going
seventy miles an hour? What'd you think was gonna happen?
Speaker 8 (27:13):
That is?
Speaker 1 (27:13):
That is what I'm telling myself every time I make
that dumb decision. Hats the top answer?
Speaker 2 (27:17):
You really do?
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Come?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yeah, you're gonna go see Neo at the Elligant County Fair. Great,
heck yes, it's gonna be an awesome show, and we
will be doing it for you again tomorrow. A chance
to win with Battle of the Sexes eight fifteen. Right
here on start it's five point seven feel good variety
of the eighties still now come onring too. It's Mac
and Smitty. And it never feels good to break something
(27:42):
that isn't yours. It really doesn't feel good if you
break something that isn't yours that you feel maybe like
you gotta pay for Yeah, I don't know, heres Smitty,
have you ever broken or damaged something at the store before,
and if you did, did you wind up having to
pay for it? Because yesterday I was just stopping by
to get some stuff for burgers at Forest Hill's Foods
(28:03):
on Cascade, and I was actually grabbing some halipinos for myself,
some like you know, jarred halipinos, and they were right
next to these green olives, and there was this organic
pack of green olives that was like full memento, but
it had like a big jar we're talking, you know,
like it's got to be like one hundred and fifty
(28:24):
green olives in this thing. And I reached back to
grab the halipinos because there was a few of them
gone already and I pulled my hand out and I
just brushed it on the back of my hand just right,
and it was like the in a movie where everything
goes slow mo for a second and I'm trying to
get to it before it falls to the ground, and
(28:45):
I actually hit it with my hand and it goes
higher into the air and further away from me, only
to literally smash shatters on the floor, and green olives
are really everywhere. There is juice all over the place.
And I had never in my life broken something this
(29:05):
big in a store before. I might have, you know,
knocked over a can that cracked or a glass that
cracked or something, but never less.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Still a.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Nightmare in the Aislesmitty it is, and I mean, of
course a huge loud bang. So all these other customers
are looking at me, and in my head what I
would respond with normally is a profuse apology and trying
to clean up. Right in this specific situation, I was like,
what the heck am I going to do? There is
(29:36):
no way to clean this up without a bucket and
a mop and a whole bunch of time to follow
all these little olives that have rolled seriously ten fifteen
feet away from this accident, like it was the most
embarrassing thing. And I made eye contact with one of
the store people and I was like, do you want
and he goes, I got it.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Man, you didn't stick around a house.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
I wanted to. He goes, I got it, man, I
gotta go to the back. He's like, there's broken glass.
They didn't want anybody of shamed.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
It was liability not matter.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
I would have been like, hey, I give me the up,
give me I'm so oh my god, I.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Got n't buy a thing. I immediately walked out of
the store.
Speaker 5 (30:18):
No.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
No, He's like, I got it. I got it, and
he and I just I couldn't handle it.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
On behalf of Star one oh five point seven Forrest
Hills Foods, I very much enjoy your business and I'm
so sorry that you had to deal with my co
host bailing on a mess like that. Well, we have
been talking all morning about the news that broke yesterday,
the passing of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne at seventy six
(30:43):
years old, and all of these celebrities and musical artists
that have been paying tribute.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
This might be one of my.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
Most favorites because we have been talking about the bike Bus.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Coach Alto is his name, co founder and director of
the Bike Bus. This is in Portland, Oregon, where once
a month, all the students that want to join go
on a bike ride to school. And in the very
first video to ever go viral for the bike Bus.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
Stay with me.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
All right?
Speaker 4 (31:27):
That's right, Coach brings along a massive speaker and blasts
that music for the kids to head to school. And
in a very touching post last night, Coach b Wright's
your music will live on for generations to come. Ozzie
Crazy Train was always a personal favorite for the bike Bus.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
We love you.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Yeah, that musical legacy is gonna be going on.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
That's a great tribute.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
I love it, Ah Switty. I love a good lost
and found story, and this one starts right here in Michigan,
but far from where it ends. As a matter of fact,
what sort of ended was with Chad. He's a mechanic
and owner of LC Carcare in Lake Crystal, Minnesota, and
recently he was working on a twenty fifteen Ford Edge
when all of a sudden he removed the vehicle's airbox,
(32:12):
which I didn't even know was a part of a car. Whatever,
removed the vehicle's air box and found a wallets well inside.
He found the ID. There was cash in there, some
gift cards, lotto tickets that it belonged to Richard gold Ford,
who's a retired Ford assembly worker from right here in Michigan,
who told Channel ten News there in Minnesota that he
(32:33):
actually lost it building that car at the Ford plant
back in twenty ten or twenty eleven, is this year. Wallet.
Speaker 8 (32:42):
First thing I said was did you find it in
a car? Yes? I never wore sweatpants for work, but
I did that day and I had my wallet in
my shirt pocket. I checked him. I'm like, smittye, I
lost my wallet. So we all went out tried to look.
You know, there was two thousand cars out there and
we couldn't find.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Just in case you that Schmitte, he also has a
partner named Smitty. Yeah right too. But so he had
dropped the wallet into a vehicle that was literally in
the process of getting built. So Chad finds this wallet,
gets on social media, tracks him down, and all of
the items remained in the wallet. They actually got a
chance to talk over the phone for the very first time,
(33:21):
which again captured buying Channel ten news there in Minnesota.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
How's it going, Richard?
Speaker 8 (33:25):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Not to ben you?
Speaker 8 (33:27):
I would have never never figured in a million years,
and it would still be there. There's nothing wrong with
the money at all. It's well traveled currency. There's all
the Cabello's cards.
Speaker 7 (33:37):
I'm about to start to get two cars more often.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
I guess in the engine bays even to find some stuff.
Speaker 8 (33:41):
And I really really appreciate it. You're welcome. The right
guy found it absolutely.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
When he said well traveled currency. Get this. That car
went from Michigan to Arizona ultimately back to Minnesota. One
hundred and fifty thousand miles were put on that car
while the wallet was sitting there. The entire jown pretty crazy,
feeling good, Always here to share something incredible with you.
I love doing it each and every day, and we
will tomorrow six forty five and nine twenty here on
(34:06):
Star Mack and Schmidty in the morning weekday, starting at
six am on Star one oh five point seven
