Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wake, wake, wake up. It gets my day going. It
makes me laugh.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I love it. Mac and Schmidty in the Morning on
Star one on five point seven.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Good morning, Schmidty.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Oh you guys, Happy weekend Eve. That feels good to say.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
It does it does?

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
What feels less good is how hot it is.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Already out there and you're walking on into a wet foot.
That's what I'm gonna say. I posted up on my
usual Instagram from the elevator this morning at Schmidt in
the Mitt and I said, just a heads up about
four fifteen already feels like a sweaty foot inside an
athletic shoe that just went through a two hour workout.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Oh that's a that's a picture right there. You've definitely
painted it.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
You know what, though, when uh, you guys hang out
with us for our West Michigan wake up coming up,
I gotta tell you have you heard of corn sweat
because it could be even hotter for those of you
in more rural areas. This was wild to me. I'm
gonna get to that in our news because it literally
can change the temperature and make it even muggier for
some of us in West Corn sweat is fascinating, sounds

(01:03):
like even grosser than normal sweat without a doubt.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
But you don't watch Beddy this will with this heat.
I have a feeling we're probably not gonna have a
white Christmas. Might go on and a limb and say
that tomorrow probably won't see the snowing.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Ah, but you guys, this is a big one. Of course.
Tomorrow is July twenty fifth, which means we are kicking
off a day of your Christmas fields. We are gonna
be at the downtown Market, bright and early, kicking things
off at seven am tomorrow. We are gonna have twelve
hours of Christmas music. We're gonna have twelve hours of presence.
We are gonna have Santa himself. If you want to

(01:36):
get an early word in before the big day a
few months from now, it's gonna be a ton of fun.
And the best part is you just got to listen
and hopefully win a bunch.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Of stuff, movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Well, his passing was a couple days ago, and yet
Hollywood is still paying their dues to the legendary Ozzy
Osbourne that includes Lady Gaga with a very touching tribute
closing out her San Francisco show with an encore, but
it was not a Gaga song. Gaga came out dressed

(02:15):
head to toe in Ozzie gear with a very personalized
T shirt, giving what looked like wiping tears away from
her face as she blew a kiss to the crowd
then looked up towards the sky. She has always been
very open about how deeply she's been inspired by Black
Sabbath specifically, and fans just think it was really really

(02:39):
beautiful the way she did it.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Does she belt out the cover or no.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Nope, she just let the music lie. It was really
really nice. Post Malone seems to have had a victory
in his custody battle. Posty's baby mama has officially filed
to dismiss her request for physical custody of their daughter
in California, although it sounds a crystal of legal battle
in Utah, so he Sung Park dismissed her LA filing

(03:05):
for physical custody. It's about three months after originally filing. Now.
Malone was the first to file his own documents in
Utah wanting custody there something that this might be a
bit of a cost saving measure because California does allow
for much higher child support payments than Utah. But Post
these people are just maintaining he's a great dad. He

(03:26):
wants to have this physical custody a Holt, but his
baby mama is not fully giving up yet, So we'll
see who takes this one. This is a three year
old that the ex couple are now fighting over. But
Post Malone's lawyer is Laura Wasser, the absolute paymouth in Hollywood. Yeah,

(03:46):
and finally, Millennials were posting like crazy yesterday following the
Freakier Friday premiere because we saw some of the greatest reunions,
including the picture scene around the world, Lindsay Lohan posing
between Lisa and Walter aka Chessie, Nick Parker's housekeeper, and
the infamous Elaine Hendricks aka Meredith Blake and dang it,

(04:11):
these people have aged like a fine wine. The red
carpet was full of stars, and I really love this
interview with Lindsay talking about her now role as a
mom shaping what this movie is.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
It felt much more personal because I got to bring
what I've learned from being a mom into the story
of playing a mom, which is I think there's a
difference kind of empathy that you have when you're a mom,
and it was really exciting to play them mom for
the first time on screen.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Yeah, Freaky a Friday drops tomorrow in theaters.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Does this mean we also maybe is there gonna do
a parent trap again? Is that gonna happen again?

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Tas So if we are as hooked on a parent
trap as we are Freaky Friday, maybe maybe? All right,
all of your celeb scoop at West Michigan Star Dot Cots.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
So on a fine point, Sevin, it's back and schminty
and always look at a perkf with a couple of
awesome some stories. Feeling good right now? And how far
would you travel to reunite with your pet cat? Because
for this woman it was across in ocean. Yeah, a
seven year old black cat named Trixie reunited with her
German owner after get this, five years, Olga Hyas flew

(05:18):
across the Atlantic to pick up her friendly feet lines
just this past Monday. Now, Helga said Trixy and some
of her other cats actually wandered off after she and
her husband moved from Ohio to Montague in the fall
of twenty twenty. Schetti pretty unbelievable because they just left
and they tried like crazy to find these cats.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
I looked, I don't know for how many weeks every night,
every time I went out at one o'clock, two o'clock
in the night and was calling for them. But i'nfatuning.
None of the cats showed up.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yeah, none of the cats showed up and they had
to move back to Germany after Helga's husband lost his job. Well,
flash forward to about six months ago when Trixie, who
was got scanned at the Osha Oceana County Animal Friend Shelter.
Director Amy Vanderwilk talked about Helga's commitment, saying, who flies

(06:09):
across the country or it flies across the world to
get their cat back. Obviously this cat will be taken
care of for the rest of her life. So she
got to reunite with Trixy, hoping that some of those
other cats still turn up. But she was just so
grateful that somebody took the time to take care of
her pet.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
I never ever thought they made it through that hot winner,
because the Michigan's Winner's really hard.

Speaker 6 (06:30):
You have a lot of.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Snow and it's really really cold. For me, this was
just incredible, like, ohole, thank god, somebody took her in,
somebody cared for her, and somebody finally scanned her so
that they can contact me.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
From Germany to Michigan and home again. Little Trixy back
in Germany now and already getting along very famously with Hugguz.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah, that's also the most amount of emotion I've ever
heard from a German. All right, let's get to this
incredible story. They call themselves the Detroit Mower Gang. See,
when Detroit's parks actually shut down fifteen years ago because
they were in the middle of that financial crisis, it
was one man that took it upon himself to try
and mow as well as clean up those neglected spaces

(07:15):
make them beautiful and usable again for community members. Tom
Nardone bought a lawn mower randomly off Craigslist and started
with his very first project, a community park at eight
Mile and I seventy five. Realized pretty quickly this was
definitely something that neighbors needed, so he decided to post
on social does anybody want to show up and help

(07:36):
me mow or trim bushes or do something because the
city itself can't do it well. That blew up.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
I message everyone from like mountain bike groups to scooter gangs,
asking if anyone wanted to come out and help me
dig out this old bicycle race trend. And then people
showed up.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
And they've continued to show up for fifteen years. They
are traveling all over Detroit doing anything and everything they
can to keep those parks beautiful. And it's a lot
of pride they take in their city.

Speaker 7 (08:07):
I don't know if there are many people that have
been in as many nooks and crannies of this town
as I have, and I'm really proud of of it.
It's just a fascinating place.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Yeah. It it garnered some national attention, with CBS even
joining them to take part in the mowing brigade. It's
really cool to see a few neighbors coming together to
make such a difference. I'll have that video for you
at West Michigan Star.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Dot com Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
It's the celebrities gup on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Well Cosby sho Alum Malcolm Jamal Warner's body will soon
return to La We have news that his body was
released to family following the completion of an autopsy. Sources
say that the judicial Morgue handed him over yesterday. Warner's
body is scheduled to leave Costa Rica today and will
arrive in La tomorrow morning. Warning the US Embassy has

(09:01):
been working with the family on returning the body to
the States. We're learning a few more details. Jamal was
in Costa Rica vacationing with his daughter, who was actually
part of a home schooling program. Meanwhile, Malcolm's wife had
been in the country with them a couple of weeks
before his death, but was back home and actually got
the news from a phone call. If you missed the story,

(09:25):
Warner passing away at fifty four from an accidental drowning
while visiting Costa Rica with his daughter. He was pulled
from the water without any vital signs. He could not
be resuscitated. So far, the family's being very quiet on
funeral plans, but will be back home tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Been really fascinated to see how big of a part
of people's lives he was that were coming up during
that same time period. He was just exploding everywhere on
the Cosmi Show, just like Adam Sandler the other day,
who was sharing his thoughts on it about how many
people sort of were around that guy at that time.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Honestly, but currently I'm so bummed. I really enjoyed his
podcast and we I had mentioned his last episode dropped
like six days ago. I mean, just really sad stuff. Listen,
if a Pretty Woman reboot ever gets made, NFL star
Travis Kelsey is down for the lead, and considering he's
living that life already, he might be a good choice.

(10:17):
This is from the latest episode of the New Heights podcast.

Speaker 8 (10:20):
Flip the Script. I think we need to make pretty
Man pretty Man. We need to have a CEO billionaire woman.
I may be so high class that she doesn't know
where she's going, Travis to drive a car. You're living, don't.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
You are pretty mad you're living? You're old? Julia Roppers shade.

Speaker 8 (10:43):
I'm wearing nothing but a tie when Taylor comes home.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
That's pretty funny and honestly, I would pay that ticket.
Bread Finally, Uber with a big announcement yesterday, Starting in
just a couple of weeks, customers will be allowed to
pick a woman driver. They can either pick a female
driver or share a ride with other women. This is
a pilot program. Uber says it's starting to begin in

(11:10):
La San Francisco and Detroit. In a statement, Uber said
women customers will see an option called women Drivers in
the app. Now, if the wait time for a woman
driver is longer than they'd like, they can pick another ride,
presumably with a male for a quicker pickup. But Uber
admitting that across the country, women riders and women drivers
have said the biggest thing they would love to see

(11:32):
is the option to be matched with fellow females. So
they're hoping with these pilot programs in those first three cities,
this will be expanded very very soon across the country.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Interesting. I wonder if it'll be traverse to the other
apps as well.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
I love it, such a good idea. All of your
CELEBSCU but West Michigan Star.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Dot Com, I'm one, it's you, It's Mack and Schmidty
and things that live up to the hype.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Schmitt it's a dangerous line. It's a dangerous line because
there's very few things as disappointing as everyone telling you
this is gonna change your life and then it doesn't.
But I gotta tell you, I was so impressed. I
have the absolute privilege of getting to see Hamilton last

(12:15):
night with Broadway Grand Rapids. And I gotta tell you, guys,
I have never seen Hamilton. I've never listened to a
single song from Hamilton. I have not watched the Disney
Plus performance with the original cast. I have never seen
a second of Hamilton. It just it never came up
where I had the opportunity to see it, and then

(12:36):
I didn't want to see it unless it was on stage.
I didn't want to watch the Disney Plus version.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
First.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I like live theater. I like supporting live theater. And
I went last night and I was like, here we go,
because literally everyone is like, this is generation defining, this
is the greatest musical of all time, this is unbelievable,
unmatched talent.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I'm like, how do you live up to that?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I'll tell you. I got done last night and both
me and my best friend had never seen anything from Hamilton,
and our minds were blown. It was just so good.
And it's at DeVos through August third, so if you
have the opportunity, it is incredible. And I was really
excited because when I first got there, I met up

(13:23):
with Megan. She's the CEO for Broadway Grand Rapids, and
she has seen the show a few times. She is
a member of the voting Tony Board. She's seen it
across you know, everything, and she said, I got to
tell you, you know, outside of the OG cast ten
years ago, the casting Grand Rapids is the greatest cast
I've ever seen.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Do this.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Fay saw it was so phenomenal and I got done,
and I honestly I sighed a relief. I'm like, Okay,
it was good, because there have been times where I
am told, oh, you're gonna love this and you leave
so disappointed from something because you're like, dang, that was
over or hyped. It's such a bomber, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
It is a massive bummer when somebody tells you that
it's gonna be incredible and then you go to it
and you're like it's uh is okay?

Speaker 1 (14:09):
And then you feel weird, like is it just me?
Well I miss something here?

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Honestly, schmitdie. I was actually a little worried because I
knew you were going to see it last night, and
I'm like, man, the expectation level for somebody who I
knew like theater, like yourself. That was the part that.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Gots go through the room.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
I'm like, all you have heard for years ye now
is how incredible this show is. And I I'm a
theater nerd too, and I thought that it is literally
the greatest piece of performance art I have ever seen
in my life. It's not It's actually not that close.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
So have you ever had something over hyped or did
something live up to the expectation?

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Two things? One that lived up to the expectations for
me Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls I thought was absolutely unbelievable.
I enjoyed it immensely. I can see why some people
would be like, yeah, the water goes over the edge
and it's cool if you walk away. Definitely, I was
blown away by it. I thought it was absolutely incredible
and lived up to the hype. And I thought the

(15:02):
city of Niagar was a blast too, So that one
for me, I was surprised that I didn't come out
of it going like, Eh, that was neat. I'll never
go back again.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
I'm bummed because we did Niagara Falls and then we
did Toronto, like back to back, and I thought Niagara
Falls was cool, but man, Toronto was so cool.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Toronto, so I got to make that trip to it
lives up to the hype Toronto to the hype. Okay,
so I have one that I have heard from lots
of people, and I know you're going to take a
fence to this too, But I'm just curious because I
hear people say that about Macinaw Island from time to time, Schmidty,
that they feel like they go up there and they're
so excited, and then they get there and if you're
not golfing, and if you're not biking, and if you're
not there to do some shopping, they're like, well, I

(15:40):
don't it's just the beach, but it's a little rocky
and all this stuff. I've heard people complain, and I'm like,
you're on an island in the middle of the Great Lake.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I love Macina Island. I think the I mean.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Wyatness on its own is amazing.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Well, if you're in the middle of summer, maybe not
so much. But where else can you find Amazon packages
being delivered by horseback? That to me right there? He
seals the deal from Macina.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Eelilds e these music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Well, it's not surprising, Ozzy Osbourne's music is skyrocketing in
online listening. His monthly streaming count has blown up following
news of the singer's passing. Back on Tuesday at the
age of seventy six, the Crazy Train hitmaker boasted just
about twelve million listeners. That number has already ballooned to

(16:33):
almost fifteen million. That same magic is happening for Black
Sabbath who have seen their online listening go through the roof.
And while some individual songs don't have numbers yet, check
this out. The top one hundred US charts have Crazy
Train hitting the number twenty three spot, MoMA I'm Coming
Home at thirty four, and No More Tears at forty five,

(16:56):
which is a big deal because singers like Tyler the
Creed or dropped albums this week and still haven't pushed
Ozzie out of that top fifteen.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
That's pretty much just there, but three songs there at least,
that's all. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
We've got official news. Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam
Levine are reuniting for The Voice first time since season sixteen.
The trio announced for season twenty nine of the show,
which is insane to say that is going to launch
in the spring. Remember season twenty eight. This fall, we'll

(17:28):
have Bouble Snoop Dogg, Nile Horan, and Reba McIntyre. But
this will be interesting. Both seasons are being shot at
the same time, and the network has revealed this is NBC.
The shows will include various format revamps. They're dubbing season
twenty nine the Voice Battle of Champions, so they're going

(17:50):
to infuse it with fast paced competitive elements. They say
is inspired by NBC Sports. Okay, so now I'm just
hoping they take like America Ninja Warrior and make you
sing while you're doing the course, like that's what it's
That's what I do. That's where I go in my head.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
It's about your diaphragm and upper body show. Isn't that
same time? That is super And by the way, I
get so Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine who's
the fourth judge for their season?

Speaker 1 (18:16):
That'll be interesting. Maybe just the three. I don't know,
because isn't that how it used to be? Was there
always four?

Speaker 3 (18:20):
I thought there was always I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
It's twenty nine seasons? Yeah, how good? Wait, and finally
it's truly a full circle moment. I was talking earlier
in the show about how incredible Hamilton is with Broadway
Grand Rapids and a Michigan native is back home getting
to perform in front of family and friends. Paul Lewis
Lassard plays King George the Third in the show. He

(18:44):
was magnificent last night.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
One of the coolest roles.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Yeah, the full play actually born in Ochemus, graduated with
his bachelor's degree from U of M. He sat down
with Wood TV eight. Gosh, it's just such a cool moment.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
It's a nice full circle moment to come back to
where I start did in that journey as an artist.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
So again, Hamilton is at DeVos through August third, and
you really should check it out.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
I was just going to say that that specific one
is the song my kids want in the car at
all Annie think King George related is like, yes, please
turn this up.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Paul was so so good. All of your celebscoop at
West Michigan Star dot.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Com and Ney's time too. Battle. Let's do this Battle
of the Sex is look at the land, you at
our Alligant County Fair watching somebody we all loved. In
the early two thousand Schmitty.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
That would be Neo. He is one of the big
headliners for our Allagan County Fair. You have today's number
one answer, You've got tickets. In one hundred women surveyed,
name something you wear to be let in at some restaurants.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
If it's a buffet, they you know, they recommend a
bib for me. Oh day, yeah, it's recommend Sometimes.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
I'm annoyed by the pants rule. I'm not gonna lie
to you.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
What about buttons or buttons required?

Speaker 1 (19:54):
They come on, guys, come on sex one, six, four, five, eight,
one oh five seven. One hundred women serve. Name something
you wear to be let into some restaurants?

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Corn Star?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Who's this Shonda?

Speaker 3 (20:07):
Shanda? Where are you coming from today?

Speaker 4 (20:09):
Hi?

Speaker 3 (20:09):
Shanda? One hundred women were asked to name something you
might have to wear in order to be let into
some restaurants. What's the top answer, Shanda?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
A tie?

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Ooh a tie? Yes, someplace is very fancy. I couldn't
tell you because I've never eaten at someplace that nice. However,
tie's the number three answer on the list. I'm sorry, Shonda,
thank you, thank you, Good morning star. Who's this, Chelsea?
Where you're coming from? Today, All right, Chelsea. One hundred
women were asked to name something you gotta were in

(20:41):
order to get let into some restaurants. I just heard
from Shanda who said a tie, and a tie was
the number three most common answer, but not the top one.
What do you think it is?

Speaker 1 (20:50):
I want to say, a suit, a suit, a suit jacket.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Yeah, same thing I said to Shonda. I'm just not
fancy enough. Suit jacket's the number two most common answer.
I'm sorry, thank you, thank you, good morning star. Who's this, Emma? Emma,
I've gotten a couple of good guesses, but I like
your chances here. Okay, because we've eliminated the number three
and the number two most common answers. What one hundred
women arrest the name something you got to wear in

(21:17):
order to let be let into some restaurants. I heard tie,
which was the number three most common answer, and I
just heard suit jacket, which was the number two most
common answer. But there's something, Emma, that is even more
obvious than that that you've got to wear. What is it?
I believe the first thing listed on the sign on

(21:39):
every restaurant store is no shoes, no shirt, no service.
It starts with shoes and that's the top answer.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Way to go.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Hey, congratulations, you're gonna go check out Neo at the
Allegant County Fair. You are so welcome. Yes, shoes, then jacket,
then tie and shirt round and eye those top answers
and we're going to do it again tomorrow. Battle of
the Sections every weekday eight fifteen here on stock. Congrats, Ema,

(22:11):
Good morning to you. It's Mack and Schmitty and I
you know, you said it's kind of a weird question,
and it is Schmitty because I feel like if you
ask most people what's your favorite animal, they have a
pretty good, you know, range of things they want to
give you, or they know what it is. Yeah, yeah,
somebody what their favorite insect.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Is a little different.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
It does hit a little bit different. But I actually
yesterday so we got a hot tub a little while ago,
and the moisture there definitely does bring out some bugs
from time to time. Specifically one type of bug that
yesterday is I was removing the cover from two Daddy
long legs is just come out there and my son

(22:48):
is moving the cover back with me, and I go
like it crawls on my hand and I do the
williest thing where I just like basically throw it.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Like I like daddy long legs. Okay, so here's here's
number eating the gross stuff. Okay, so this is what
I thought was funny. So I toss it like that
right because it crawled in my hand. I wasn't expecting it,
and I'm gonna do that basically whatever bug gets on me.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
But when I did that, my son goes, don't do that, Jared,
don't do that. So what he goes, that's a daddy
long legs. I'm like, I'm aware, goes, no, no, no,
those are my favorite type of buck.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
I'm like why and he goes, well, one I heard
they're really poisonous, but they don't have big teeth to
bite you. And I was like, I still don't know
whether that's true. I have heard both sides of that
one that that's a old wives tailer, that that's accurate,
but I'm like, either way, non poisonous. He goes, but
I think it's so awesome. And he picks up the
other one, smitty, and he's literally letting it crawl across

(23:42):
both of his hands, and I'm just like.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (23:45):
I don't I don't even if it's my favorite bug.
I don't want him crawling all over me. I was
just like dude, and I'm a karma guy. I don't
like killing bugs. When I find sneak stink bugs in
the house, I usually try and let him out of
the house.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
Absolutely not. I'm just no love for.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I don't love it either. I just don't want to
kill anything. But when it comes to a spider, when
he gets on my hand or something like that, it's
a whack or it's a it's a throwaway. And my
son's like, no, not, daddy, long legs bad. They're just
too cool.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
So i'd have to say, if you ask me my
favorite insect, I would say a ladybug. And then I
looked it up and do you know in some parts
of the US, people call them lady.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Beetles, lady beetles, lady beatles? Is that better or worse?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
I think it's so cute. So now I'm gonna go
around and just start saying things like lady beetles. I have,
Oh my gosh, what a cute name.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
It sounds like a female cover band.

Speaker 5 (24:37):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Also, I must have missed a lot of science class
because I didn't know ladybugs were beetles.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
I did, I guess, Actually I couldn't. I wouldn't have
known beetles. So they flies as.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Why you wake up with star one? Oh five points seven?
You break that one out at work today? Oh?

Speaker 3 (24:50):
I'm sorry, any I asked my son. I was like,
so are there any other bugs? I was like, are
you protecting? He goes, no, I love to kill ants? Dad? Yes, okay,
So there's the and your old boy selling a fine
point seven. I always looking to make a date a
little bit better. Feeling good right now, won't you get you?

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Manny?

Speaker 8 (25:06):
Well?

Speaker 1 (25:06):
I gotta tell you, I think this mom and dad
have really figured out the true hack, because as hard
as we try to gentle parent are kids, sometimes it's
like get up, the day has started. And for the
Real six Pack and Mo Warrior on Instagram, they have
gone viral for their idea of a nice wake up call,

(25:28):
calling in Chico the Rooster, But once didn't work. The
second time, when you're standing directly on your kid's head
as they're buried under that comforter, they tend to get

(25:49):
up and move in pretty quick. The videos hysterical. You
are gonna love Chico Pa Pa Pa Pa papin to
get things going. I'm gonna have it on our Instagram
at West Michigan Stars.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
That was my favorite part, hearing the pitter patter of
rooster feet. I didn't realize that they're.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Called spur buds. I looked them up today. Yeah, roosters
have spur buds. You learned something. Every day they developed
five point seven spur buds.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
All right, SCHMDI, this is real quick, and I just
thought was really cool because I did not realize this
was true. Maybe you did. Of course, the late Ozzy Osbourne,
who passed away earlier this week at the age of
seventy six, but back on July fifth, he was performing in,
of course, that now legendary final concert in Birmingham, England,
and he did the back to the beginning event. Fans

(26:35):
from around the world, you're talking some of the biggest
stars in rock and roll were all out there paying tribute. Metallica,
Guns and Roses, Tool Pantera, Tom Morello from Rage Against
the Machine, and so many others. Steven Tyler of Arrowsmith,
I mean, Elton John appearing by video. It was a
who's who of music throughout the last fifty years or so,
and wouldn't you know it that it raised one hundred

(26:57):
and ninety million dollars charity, becoming the most successful charity
concert of all time.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
I actually had that in scoop. Yeah, last week. It
was massive.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
Did not realize that now they have officially declared this
the biggest concert benefit ever, Bigger than Live Aid ever was.
I mean, it's just crazy to think of bigger than
that concert for Bangladesh that had almost a million people
at it. I mean, just absolutely insane. One hundred and
ninety million dollars is going to be going to the
Birmingham's Children's Hospital, Acorns Children's Hospice and cure Parkinson's. I mean,

(27:33):
just you talk about the musical legacy with that legacy
of generosity and kindness. What a way to put a
stamp on that.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
I think he got to thank you from Michael J.
Fox too for the Parkinson's research. It's pretty powerful stuff.

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Really cool feeling good coming at you a couple times
a day. I always want to make sure we let
you know about the amazing things going on out there.
We'll do it again for you tomorrow six forty five
and nine to twenty here on Star

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Mack and Schmidty in the morning weekday, starting at six
am on Star one oh five point seven
