Speaker 1 (00:04):
Wake up.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It gets my day going and makes me laugh.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
It Mac and Schmitty in the morning on Star one
oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Good morning, Spinning, Good morning, welcome to it. And you
know what on these Thursday Schmitty, how weird out there?
Strive it in even cloudy but like everything was nice.
And then I got about five hundred feet away from
the building because he started pooring, the start poring.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I had some sprinkles North.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
It's really going to be super dependent on where you're
at today. Yeah, movies, music and all the gossip in
one place.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Well, I think there was a collective sigh of sadness
yesterday for everyone when it was announced Brian Wilson, the
legendary rock starr and co founder of The Beach Boys,
had passed away, his kids sharing the news on Instagram, writing,
we are heartbroken to announce our beloved father Brian has passed.
We are at a loss for words right now. Please

(01:03):
respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving,
but we do realize we're sharing our grief with the world.
Brian co founding the Beach Boys in nineteen sixty one,
fresh out of high school. While the band's first studio album,
Surf and Safari, didn't do super great, it was that
Surf in USA and letting them a gold record with

(01:23):
so many huge hits, good vibrations, wouldn't it be nice?
God only knows and helped me run to my two favorites.
It was announced last year that Brian was suffering from dementia.
His family had filed for a conservatorship to handle his
affairs after his second wife, Melinda, passed in twenty twenty four.
Brian Wilson eighty two years old.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I mean in an amazing life. I know there's some
documentaries about the Beach Boys and the wild ride they had,
but Brian Wilson specifically through his nervous breakdowns and that
led him to becoming like a rec loose for a
little bit or a shut in, and then in created
Pet Sounds, which is considered one of the greatest albums
of all.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Paul McCartney says, God only knows. This the greatest pop
song ever written. Paul McCartney, Yeah, that's wild. I will
have a celebrity action next hour.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
In scoop. Another major loss.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
She was definitely a voice for an entire generation. Former
MTV DJ Ananda Lewis has passed away at only fifty
two years old. She had a serious MTV era in
the nineties, passing away yesterday after a lengthy battle with
breast cancer. You'll recognize the voice.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
Who are your favorite singing artists? So I want to
answer that because it leads me right into the video I'm.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Going to play for you.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
First of all, my favorite of all time is Dinah Washington.
She was a singer back in the forties. If you
look her up and get some of her albums, they're incredible.
She does jazz I like everything from sing to Tuck
and Patty to the artist formerly known as Friends to everybody,
including n Wa, which I was a teenager rapping in
my little you knowhood in Fan Diego.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Her sister's sharing the news sing and Nanda died from
stage four breast cancer. She had braided the diagnosis for
six years, trying a mix of conventional and unconventional treatments.
Family has said they've already heard from a ton of
celebrities who want to speak on how Ananda influenced their
careers and handled interviews so well. They are planning some

(03:19):
kind of memorial in a few weeks, but really sad.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
She passed the.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Same day her fourteen year old son graduated middle school.
I know, fifty two, so just really unfortunate.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
When I think of Total Request Live, I think of
Carson Daily and Ananda Lewis.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
TRL spring Break.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
She was a big spokesperson for the Humane Society. She
had her own syndicated daytime talk show Massive And finally,
some of you, probably more of my generation, will remember him.
Atlanta Rappers Silento. You remember the Watch Me Whip, Watch
Me May May Revolution. He was just sentenced to thirty
years in prison for his role in the twenty twenty

(03:59):
one shooting down of his cousin. The Dakab County District
Attorney announced the twenty seven year old rapper who's named
Ricky Lamar Hawk, pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault,
and possession of a firearm during the commission.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Of a crime. He did plead guilty to this.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
He had told authorities at the time he was suffering
a major mental health crisis. Nonetheless, though thirty years, it's
wild I actually met him a few years ago because
we had him at party in the park on our
sister station one oh four point five US next.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Oh my goodness, yeah, I don't think watch watch me.
Nyna is going to go over quite as well in prison.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
All right, all of your celeb scoop at West Michigan
Star dot Com.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
It's still on a fine points. You have a good
mowing into you. It's Mack and Schmidt, Hey putting in
the positive to your mourning right now, feeling good and
you know once it's short and sweet, and actually I
guess these would be short and rounds because I got
a shout out Sandy's Donuts Schmidty, one of our favorite
West music in spots to go grab some donuts, and
they delivered a whole lot of them to one of
our favorite spots. Last week'smittee on National Donut Day, they

(05:04):
brought fourteen hundred donuts to the Helen de Vos Children's Hospital.
Fourteen hundred donuts got wheeled through the door. They put
this post up on Facebook, really cool, and then they
handed them out to all the team members they are
over at Helen de Voss who just got loaned up
on Sandy's last week.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
They've been doing fundraisers for them for as long as
I could remember.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
They're just good people.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
It's fun to give them a quick shout out.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
All right, how cool does this sound?

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Broadway on the baseball diamond, well, rather the softball diamond.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
This is so cool.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Broadway and off Broadway actors, along with stagehands, musicians, other
crew members, even ushers, are part of something called the
Broadway Show League.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
They actually take their not very.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
Widely used talents to New York City's Central Park every
single week to play softball. We're talking stars like George Clooney,
Apoll of the Jessica Vaughan, even Nick Jonas, who has
been on stage in the last five years. He actually
talked with CBS about what a cool opportunity it is.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
It seems like you take this seriously.

Speaker 6 (06:11):
I take it somewhat seriously. I take my body not
falling apart a lot more serious than the softball, perhaps
because I have to be on stage to night. It's
kind of the highlight of my week, apart from being
able to be on the Broadway stage be not here
with you know, coworkers and colleagues and all that is.
It's pretty special. This is just about getting together trying
to hit a ball run around and you just feel
like kids, and it's kind of the perfect way to

(06:31):
encapsulate what this is all about.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah, the Broadway Show League has quite a history.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
Both Julie Andrews and Lucille Ball got in on the
softball action back in the sixties.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
It has had some huge names.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
It was even parodied in a Seinfeld episode where I
don't know what's his name with the glasses George George
actually slid home and took out Bette Midler, who gets
starred on the show. That's the Broadway Show League. It
is so incredibly cool. They do fundraising as well, and
I just thought, what an awesome idea, So I'll put

(07:04):
up the video. A bunch of other stars sat down
for interviews as well. West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Well, what's the deal with softballs? Movie? All right? Feeling good?
Coming at you a couple times today, always trying to
put a smile on your face. We'll do it again
this morning, comeing up.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
At nine Swan movies, music and all the gossip in
one place.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It's the celebrities goop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Well, it was just such sad news to see yesterday.
Brian Wilson, legendary rockstar and of course, co founder of
the Beach Boys, has passed away. According to a post
biased children on Instagram, who did say they were at
a loss for words passing away at the age of
eighty two, but also understood they were sharing their grief

(07:46):
with the entire world. He was an absolute legend, not
just with the Beach Boys, but had a bit of
a solo career, multiple documentaries about him. We did learn
last year he had been diagnosed with dementia. His family
did file for a conservatorship to handle his affairs, and
just loads and loads of celebrities yesterday paying tribute to

(08:08):
this unbelievable man. Elton John writing, Brian Wilson was kind
of me from the day I met him. I grew
to love him as a person and for me, he
was the biggest influence on my songwriting ever. He was
a musical genius and an absolute revolutionary. Fleetwood Max Mick
Fleetwood writing, anyone with a musical bone in their body

(08:29):
must be grateful for Brian Wilson's genius, magical touch. He
bondly being remembered by family members as well, even Yoko
Ono and the son of John Lennon writing, anyone who
knows us knows we are heartbroken over Brian Wilson's passing.
Not many people influenced us as much as he did.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
I think what's absolutely wild to me is just you
don't hear musicians termed as genius, except every single time
somebody mentions Brian Wilson. There is not a mention of
that man that doesn't come along with oh, musical genius.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Oh, I mean guys Chalton, John Fleetwood, Mac, John Lennon,
We've got the Rolling Stones, Tom Hanks, I mean the
amount of people paying tribute to him yesterday, the Backstreet Boys.
We wouldn't be BSB without Brian Wilson. Just really incredible person.
I've got more for you at West Michigan Star dot Com.

(09:28):
The rumors swirling that after Ryan Gosling is being eyed
to take over the Marvel role of Black Panther are
just not true. An insider with direct knowledge says no,
Ryan has not been cast, nor has he even been
spoken to, to play a new iteration of Black Panther,

(09:49):
of course, the iconic African superhero that was first played
by the late Chadwick Boseman. Rumors of the casting were
swirling online, even grabbing major headlines. It all started shock
Shock from a meme of Ryan's face photo shopped onto
a black panther poster from back in twenty eighteen. Needless
to say, there was a lot of debate online. This

(10:11):
is not true, guys, not true at all, not happening.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I mean, give me a break. The public couldn't handle
a knot porcelain white, snow white. You think they're going
to take a white, black panther. Well.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
I think the problem here too was there was a
lot of talk about what universe Ryan was joining, and
of course we found out a couple of weeks ago
it's Star Wars.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
He's going to be in the new starfightrel you.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Finally, Pope Leo the fourteenth maybe in the Vatican, but
he still got a little southside in him. He was
spotted wrapping his beloved Chicago White Sox at the Vatican,
the Pontiff ditching that usual hat for a black socks
ball cap during the General Assembly in Rome, giving a huge,
huge smile in support for his local baseball team.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Also thought this was really fun.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
The White Sox actually commemorated Pope Leo attending Game one
of the two thousand and five World Series, we saw
that infamous photo. They've put a graphic installation of that moment,
as well as the new Pope waving in that section
where he sat at Rapefield.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
I have a question for you, Schmitdy, as both a
Catholic and a huge Cubs fan, how did that make
you feel?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Dad?

Speaker 4 (11:20):
It's too bad. I mean, you know, we all have flaws.
I suppose even the infallible Pope. All of your celebscoop
at West Michigan.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Startup, come on in too. It's back in, Schmidty. And
as a parent, I think about these things all the time, Middy,
the things that.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
We did as a kid that now were like, oh,
clutch your pearls if your kids tried doing this. So
it stems from watching a movie earlier this week. I
mentioned on the show a couple days ago, I've been
watching through some of the summer classics with my kids.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
We started with The.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Sandlot, and then earlier this week we watched Angels in
the Outfield for the first time.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
And you were talking about the day you brought back
a ton of memories.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Yeah, Angels in the Outfield so good, by the way,
Disney plus so at the beginning of the movie, the
two characters, Roger and JP, are riding their bikes home
from the game, and the first thing, the first thing
out of my seven year old son's mouth, Oh, Mom,
they're not wearing helmets.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
I said, nope.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
The nineties were a wild time, my guy. And I
have to tell you, guys, it is absolutely mind blowing.
Mind blowing to my children, which I take full credit,
is mind blowing to them anyone would ride a bike
or a scooter or anything without a helmet. I have
like pushed that into their little heads, like no, no,
if we're doing anything on wheels, we've got a helmet on.
And he was absolutely stunned. I said, yeah, they're not,

(12:42):
and he goes, they could get really hurt. And I go, well, buddy,
you know, unfortunately, like back in the early nineties, because
I think the movie came out in like ninety three
or ninety four, I said, you know, maybe wasn't exactly
something we.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Did all the time. And he said, and did you
get hurt? And I was like, actually I did. I
nearly died.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
That's why we wear helmets. So I was like, you're
so evil, But it's so funny.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Right like there.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I definitely probably the first couple of years of bike
riding as a kid did not have a helmet on.
And the even thought of my children riding downhill in
any way, shape or form without a helmet makes me
want to pass out.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
It's so funny too, because the only time I remember
wearing a helmet was when I got my first new
bike as a kid. So my first bike was this
like thirty year old banana seed bad Boy that I
had that was still super old. But then I got
a new bike and it came with a helmet, and
I was going for my first bike ride by myself,
and my mom was like, you have to wear the helmet,
and I'm like, I never wear a helmet. Nobody wears
a helmet. I'm leaving and she wouldn't let me leave

(13:41):
without putting it on. Smiddy, and I was biking down
the road and you know when you were a kid
and your shoelace would get caught on your pedal as
you were going around, and then your shoe would get
tighter and tighter until you couldn't move it anymore. It
happened to me, and I'm not kidding. I tipped over
and smoked the helmet against a.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Rock yep and that's my helmet.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
And I and I was like, oh man, it was
a good thing I was wearing a helmet. And then
I never wore the helmet ever again. Oh I know.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
But you think about these things and you're like things
you did as a kid that you wouldn't have your
kids do today. I think I had way more of
a footprint of places I could go back in the
day than I would let my kids do today.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
I explained to my kids that this summer, my daughter's
twelve this year, and when I was twelve, this is
the summer I got a job and had to bike
a mile and a half to work every day at
six am in the summertime. My kids don't get up
at six am often. My kids don't bike places by
themselves that far away, and they definitely don't bike on
a fifty five mile an hour road with no with

(14:44):
no curb.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Oh you know what I mean, Like it.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Is entirely kids get a job at twelve now golf courses,
golf Oh.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
I was gonna say.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Also, child labor laws may have changed since the nineties.
What do you think six one, six, four, five, eight,
one oh five seven. I especially want to hear from
those like former wild kids that are now parents going
oh no, no, no, organic only.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Give us the call.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
What did you do as a kid you would never
let your kids do today?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Hit us up on our iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
To I think a lot of people smiddy would look
back and say, riding in the back of pickup trucks.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Oh, that's just sitting in the back of it is.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
Now it wasn't then it's the celebrities goop on Star
one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Well, Kim Kardashian coming out against the Trump administration's ice
raids in La calling the president's immigration policy policies inhumane.
The reality TV star are posting a statement on her
instance stories, saying, when we're told that ice exists to
keep our country safe and remove violent criminals, great, But
when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their

(15:48):
families and inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We
have to do what's right. She said that she has
seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of
the city she grew up in. Says we cannot turn
a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from
living their lives freely and safely. There has to be
a better way. Well, it definitely caught the eye of

(16:10):
the Trump administration with Assistant Secretary de Secretary of Homeland Security.
This is Tricia McLaughlin responding to Kim yesterday afternoon, writing
on ex Hey Kim, which one of these convicted child molesters, murderers,
drug traffickers and rapists would you like to stay in
the country. These are just a few of the convicted

(16:33):
illegal criminals who have been picked up in the last
seventy two hours. This is just one of the things
we've seen from celebrities, a lot of them out on
those front lines of the peaceful protests as well.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Honestly, I commend her for stepping into it, because it
is difficult when you're a public figure like that, who's
so well known, when you've got a country that is
as fifty to fifty on everything as we are, to
just put your foot down one way or another.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Yeah, Britney Spears is going at her exes in a
fiery social post, and a lot of fans think it
has to do with that interview her ex hobby sam
Asgari did this week, not holding back Britney writes, I
dated to bleep in complete bleeps. I realized I loved

(17:20):
their dogs more than them, and I think it's because
their dogs bowed to me every time I entered the room.
The toxic singer went on to say, now the guys were,
of course, cruel humans that never even acknowledged me, never
held my hand in the car for six years. I
would choose animals over people any day. She wrapped up
the post saying I am so turned off by humanity
and the way people I have literally I just have

(17:42):
no words, calling it an extremely shady week. So here's
the deal if you missed it. Sam, her ex husband,
sat down with page six talking about his relationship with Britney, saying,
I can't sit here and lie and say it wasn't
good for me. When you're in a public relationship that
gives you a platform. It did give me a play form.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
However, did it elevate my profile? Yes? Did it make challenges? Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (18:05):
I had to work a lot harder to prove myself
and it seems like that did not go over well
with Britney.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
I thought, you know, and they were amicable, Buddy, Buddy
and Frankly when she says, I like dogs. I thought
Sam basically was her puppy because he just kind of
tagged along everywhere, smile and looking cute.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
We'll see, boy, everybody's wondering who this second one is
if we talk in case.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
All of the dudes, Brittany is dated. A kind of
mid losers, right, let's be honest.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Finally, this will be a very interesting case to watch.
Disney and Universal are suing AI photo generation company mid Journey,
the first major legal showdown between a Hollywood studio and
an AI company. So mid Journey enables users to create
realistic looking pictures from a text prompt in seconds, and

(18:51):
the movie companies are alleging mid Journey actually trained its
AI models on their intellectual property and that it generates
images featuring famous characters in total violation of copyright law.
In the complaint, the studios call mid Journey a virtual
vending machine and a bottomless pit of plagiarism that generates endless,

(19:13):
unauthorized copies of Disney and Universal's copyrighted works. I think
was really interesting are two competitor studios teaming up for this.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
I mean, everybody wants to get their you know, fingers
in the pie of AI, and you got to protect
yourself in some ways because we've talked about it. How
many actors are you really going to need in the
future when you can just use AI to keep your
favorite runs around forever.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
Well, Like careful also about what you're sharing, because I
feel like this is eventually going to like lead to
regular population and people are going to be like, hey,
guess what you just used that little Mermaid meme. That's
two thousand dollars. Like, whoop, get out of here, Ariel.
All right, all of your celeb scoop at West Michigan
Star dot Com.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Let's Battle Battle of the Sexist time. It's Mack and
SCHMIDI trying to get you to our Frederick Meyer Gardens,
ten Mi. It is Taj Mahal and Capmo, two incredible
musicians and performers. Take it over the Meyer Gardens.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Yeah, grab your chair, grab your snacks. It is such
an incredible venue. Battle of the Sexes. It is going
to score you those tickets. With today's number one answer,
one hundred women surveyed, what would a cowboy be made
fun of for for being bad at You.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Know they always show cowboys like spitting into spatoons. Imagine
if like you didn't do that well and it just
like dribbled over your lip a little bit. I mean
I think that would look pretty bad.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
So gross six one six, four, five, eight, one oh
five seven. One hundred women surveyed what would a cowboy
be made fun of for being bad? At?

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Four or five? Eight one oh five?

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Seven Callers seven got a chance at the number one answer,
and you could be headed to the Frederick Meyer Gardens
tonight with.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Star Florida and Star who's in Kanda? Shanda? Where are
you calling from today? All right, Shanda? Let's see A
hundred women were asked todaymy what might a cowboy get
made fun of for being bad? At? What do you
think to tell? Answer? Was there? Shonda? I thought it
was like outing that they wear his outfit. The outfits? Yeah,

(21:09):
kind of an important thing for a cowboy. I mean,
if you're wearing like thong sandals instead of cowboy boots,
I don't think it's gonna work out well for you.
But that is not on there. I'm sorry, Hi, Star,
who's this Nicole? Where you come from?

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Today?

Speaker 3 (21:25):
When one hundred women Nicole where asked what might a
cowboy get made fun of for being bad at Seanda
just told me the outfit it was not a good
look on a cowboy. Maybe the hat was way off.
Maybe it was a cowboy wearing a baseball hat. It
just doesn't make sense. But what do you think that
top answer is.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
A horse?

Speaker 3 (21:44):
I mean, it's tough to be a cowboy that just walks, right.
I mean, that's that's not very intimidating. I don't think
you're gonna be very helpful on the farm. There's a
lot of problems if you can't ride a horse. That's
why it's the top answer to go in Nicole fly. Yeah,
you're going to the Frederick Meyer Gardens tonights. You ready
for a great show? Oh yes, heck yes, I want

(22:08):
onto you. It's back in Schmitty. And you know what,
I think that everybody enjoys saying words incorrectly, and maybe
you have your own specific words that are your favorites
to put maybe the wrong emphascists on the wrong salable
Schmitty somewhere in there where you're just saying it wrong
on purpose.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
For that, I like to know why.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
I just just for fun, just to giggle a little bit,
just to be something different, like for example, The reason
I bring this up is because we went back to
nineteen ninety five, I guess for my team snack earlier
this week, where we literally had orange slices, and in
my house, I always call oranges oh ranches, and it's
just something stupid I do. Hey, go to the fridge,

(22:46):
grab me an o.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
Wrench, like it like your kids probably liked it when
they were little, because that's what.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
I do exactly. And the funny part about it was
is the kid who brought him. And then my son Connor,
who I've never heard him do what I do when
it comes to saying, oh ranch goes, catch yourself an
orad slice aw right out of there, and I like,
I like lit up a little bit, and I'm like,
I wonder if I'm gonna just damage my child by
doing this over and over again.

Speaker 4 (23:10):
All the difference you're like, Lisa, She says, banana, All
banana is a good one. Banana is nanna. We say nana,
but like I use the word because my daughter doesn't
say her s's all the time. I think I brought
this up. So instead of snuggle, she says nuggle, and
our entire family says that, like, oh, would you like
some nuggles?

Speaker 3 (23:29):
I take the t's out of caterpillar. It's just a caterpillar.
Oh it is that over there? Just a little calipillar
se fuzzy.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
It's hard because I love the cute things.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
But now she's like doing some speech classes and you're
not supposed to do that, and I'm just like, but
don't take nuggle from me.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Paula on Facebook. Man, thank you Paula, because I knew
I wouldn't be the only one that calls the library
the library.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Oh my mom was a librarian. That actually makes my
ears want to be cut off. I cannot I cannot
handle to all the librarians that work at KAD. I'll listening.
I got you at his library. Tell us what that word.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Is for you? That you say it wrong on purpose
every single time we got it up on Facebook and Instagram.
At West Michigan Star, it's still and let's bring a
little positivity to your morning. It's feeling blued on style
one oh five point seven. Won't you bring in schmiddy?

Speaker 4 (24:17):
Well, I bring it something pretty cool. If you were
at Wrigley Field a few days ago. Obviously, I myself
am a massive Cubs fan thanks to my dad growing
up in Chicago. But this daughter had an incredible moment
because her dad just happens to be Dan, the organist
for Wrigley Field, and for the first time ever, he

(24:38):
had his daughter come and play.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I gotta tell you.

Speaker 4 (24:42):
As you can hear in the background from one of
the family members that were there, Dad might be out
of a job.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
Oh my gosh, this is so serious.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
What yeh maya pretty incredible And the best part, if
you watch through the whole video, Dad is like, Okay,
speed up the temple a little here, yep, slow it back.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Excellent, excellent, It is so cool. I'm gonna share the
video on our Facebook.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
All right, Schmitty calling all dads, specifically those that might
resonate with the term dad pod like myself, Smitty. Because
the Grand Rappids Gold announces yesterday there on the one
for dancers to hit the court of the twenty twenty
five season, calling it the Dadbod Squad. Yes, so, just
to add a Father's day this is awesome. This one

(25:49):
of a kind squad will feature spirited members of the
community who might not have formal dancing training, but know
how to bring the energy and fun I'm sorry, but
that sounds like every dad I know, bad dance moves,
but ready to have a good time, saying we're always
looking to make our games more engaging and entertaining, and
we can't wait to see these guys bringing something completely
fresh to the court this season. All right, So if

(26:11):
you heard that and you're thinking about being on the
Dadbod Squad, just got to be over eighteen, ready for rehearsals,
got to commit to at least ninety percent of the
performances at about eight to ten games this season, and
show up a little bit early for you too. But
if you got the physique to join the Dadbod Squad,
you gotta get over and get ready to This is
what I want to see, actually, the thirty second audition videos. Yeah,

(26:33):
I almost want to make one, SCHMIDDI just for you,
just so you can rip on you.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
There's so many teams that do this, and I'm so
excited that the gold are finally doing it because they're
hilariously awesome.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
I've got the bond. I don't know if I've got
the dance move, but if you do, we get that
thirty second audition tape ready and head over to the
Gold's website to enter there. But yeah, the dad Bod
Squad feeling good coming at you a couple times a day.
I always want to share something wscible with you. Let's
do it tomorrow, six, five and nine twenty every weekday
here on Star

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Mack and Schmidty in the morning weekday starting at six
am on Star one oh five point seven
