I just I feel like I've gotta say it so
everyone can savor the moments.

Well half of West Michigan, is it right? I mean,
there's only a few schools going today and it's gonna
be fantastic.

I only say that, guys because over the weekend I
was going over our summer schedule with my husband and
it's like we have two weeks where we have nothing
the entire summer camps or trips or plans with family.
Like it is wild and that's fantastic. But just whoo,
take a breath and slow it down to savor it.

That's all I'm bringing up because this time just absolutely rolls.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
It really does. It rushes by and and that includes
this final week of school here for the other half
of the others, right, yeah, yeah, we had those going.
I know that. I'm looking at June and saying we
turned the switch many because we definitely had some fifties
and some sixties and hanging out stuff obviously in May,
like you're always gonna do. I'm not going to the
ten day forecast. There's nothing but seventies and eighties temps,

And shout out to everybody that planted early and had
frost over the weekend. I had a friend of mine.
Yeah yeah, really, oh yeah, yea, yah, yeah yeah yeah.
So to those of you that were doing everything you
could to save the garden. Surprisingly, yes, the good news
is we are finally looking at that warm up, which
is beautiful because we are gonna have so much fun
this summer.

Actress Loretta Switt, best known for playing Margaret hot Lips,
who Lahan on the long running smash sitcom Mash, passed away.
The news coming out late on Friday from Swiss publicist
who was very shocked by the news. The two had
actually spoken Thursday night. Loretta seemed great, but according to
her publicist, she died Friday inside her New York City apartment.

Her body was found by the maid. She was pronounced
dead in the afternoon. No cause of death has been confirmed,
but they believe she died from natural causes. The ten
time Emmy nominee, winning twice for her work on the show,
also went on to do appearances on Hawaii five Oh Murder.
She wrote in tons of other shows, Loretta was eighty seven.

Oh man, what a career, though, I mean the iconic
character on an iconic show.

My parents loved Mash, so I know it was like
far before my time, but my parents loved Mesh and
I remember hot Lips Hulahan. It was so sad to
see that rapper fifty cent is planning a visit to
the Oval Office to have a little chat with President
Trump about Ditty, telling fans he plans to share his
raw thoughts. So a flurry of social media posts went

up over the weekend after hearing from the President in
a recent interview that he may consider pardoning Ditty if
the mogul is convicted on the slew of charges he's facing.
In the first fifty road that Ditty had some really
bad things to say about Trump. I'm going to reach
out so that he knows how I really feel about
this guy. While other things he said were I didn't

say that I would necessarily tell him not to pardon him,
but I will tell him what he has said, what
he has done, the problems that I've had with him.
He said that he is going to be very honest.
And as we know, fifty has been not a fan
of Ditty for many, many many years. He has trolled
him online even before all of these allegations came to court.

Not sure when this meeting quote unquote is going to
go down, but fifty says he wants it sooner rather
than later.

We live in the strangest timeline. Schmidti, on that being said,
while fifties there, as long as we're on this, do
you think maybe he can talk to President Trump about
the Krizzlies. See if we can undo? Yeah, people, you
shouldn't be famous.

And they are finally and officially married and felt quarterback
Josh Allen and actress and singer Hailey Steinfeld officially tied
the knot over the weekend. A beautiful ceremony in California. Now,
we did get some pictures that were caught from a
bird's eye view. Looked very very beautiful. Not many details
about the ceremony are out, but her gown was gorgeous.

The two we're very very happy. There is one picture
where you can actually see Josh crying. It was really
really nice. As for celebrities on hand, not much about
the guest list, but we do know, strangely enough, Larry
David was there day. I'm not sure who's best friends
with Larry David, but that does kind of sound like
a fun person to have at your wedding. I got
those pictures up for you with your scoop at West.

Michigan Star Dotcom telling a five point seven at Smack
and Schmitty're gonna get your week off to a great start.
Feeling good right now and as a lover of a
good lobster role, I'm not sure how to feel about
this story, but there was an ultra rare gold colored
lobster Schmitty that was just rescued from becoming part of
an all you can eat New England seafood buffet. That's right,

this gold colored lobster apparently incredibly rare. You may have
even seen blue colored lobsters before, which are about one
in two million. How about one in thirty million was
this gold lobster? And so the people at the Nordic
Restaurant in Charlestown on May twenty seventh actually contacted the
Biomes Marine Biology Center in North Kingston, Rhode Islands, and

when they found out about this, they said, absolutely so
this thing actually got donated to this aquarium. Now it
will live out the remainder of its days impressing school
children in a tank instead of being cooked in oil
and pot of water.

incredible moment. Last week, six year old Laura Li Howard
surprised by the one person she didn't think would make
it to her kindergarten graduation.

Staff Sergeant Darius Howard has been deployed in the Middle

Well, it was Netflix's biggest night of the year over
the weekend, the Big Totem twenty twenty five live event
at the Kia Forum in La Saturday night. This is
a fan first event. They've got big moments, entertainment moments,
they've got upcoming projects. You get your first sneak peek
at and the star power was unbelievable. Carrie Washington, Ben Affleck,

Matt Damon, Adam Sandler, Daniel Craig, Josh Brolin, me Lacunis
the cast of Stranger Things, but by far one of
the biggest moments of the night Lady Gaga and Jenna
Ortega con affirming the news that Gaga will cameo on
the new season of Wednesday. And this is how she
did it, shutting herself into a coffin that says here

lies Gaga. We knew that this was rumored, but finally confirmed.
Netflix dropped the first six minutes of the new Wednesday
premiere and it will include Gaga. Part one of the
hit series will air August sixth, while part two follows
on September third. But there was a ton that we

her parents, revealing she has reconnected with dad Billy Ray
Cyrus after years of estrangement. Smiley sitting down with The
New York Times, saying she is now approaching her family's
past with a more mature perspective, saying, as I've gotten older,

I'm respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents,
because my mom really loved my dad for her whole life,
and I think being married to someone in the music
industry and then not being a part of it is
obviously really hard. She says she did take on some
of her mom's hurt as her own because it hurt
her more than it hurt me as an adult, and

both of her parents have found new love, of course

is on summer break. My kids have different school schedules
being at different school, so she finished on Friday, and
then my son still has a week left of school
this week, and so my mother in law said, well,
why don't I take her because usually she comes and

helps us out.

At the beginning of the week.

Yeah, she goes, why don't I take her with me
back home for a few days she can have like
camp rama.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Oh man, I love kim grandma.

So we've never that's never happened for us. Okay, she
will take both kids occasionally, but it's a very rare
kind of thing and really took until they were a
little bit older. So we have not had just one
kid in four years and Sophia is out of the
house until Tuesday until tomorrow, and all of this sudden

this weekend turned into only kid weekend for Will and
it was the coolest thing ever. And some of you
are going to listen and think that that sounds really mean,
because at first my husband felt really bad. He goes,
I don't think we should continue making this sound so cool,
because I mean, well said, you don't want to be
You don't want to feel bad or make that person
you know, you want to make Sophia feel bad. I

(12:44):
said no, but I do think it's okay to acknowledge that,
you know, Will puts a lot of effort into making
sure little sister is included, and there's things that we
can't do as a foursome because she's just not old
enough yet, or fast enough yet, or strong enough yet.
She'll get there, we're not there yet. So we got
to do all of these things that normally wouldn't happen
when Sophia was there, and it was so much fun

for all of us. And I wanted to give you
my top three things, and if you have the opportunity,
I think a lot of parents attempt to do that,
depending on how many kids. You have to try and
give one on one time with each kid, which in
and of itself is hard, but both parents giving one
on one time, it's impossible. Like we've been doing that
for a while. I'll go do something with Will, Christy,

go do something with Sophia, but the other person has
to be there for the other kid. So I had
the greatest time. And here's what we did. First, we
went out to eat at Will's favorite place and we
got to sit outside because most of the patios are
three chaared tables.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
You don't realize it. Oh, you have to.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Pull chairs a lot of times there's maybe a two
chair table. And I grew up with a family of six, y'all.
We had to make reservations no matter where we went
because a booth doesn't fit you. So we went and
we had dinner at one of his favorite spots in
Rockford on the patio and we just walked in and
sat down and he was like, wow, this is pretty cool. Next,

we started watching the Marvel movies with him. He's been
really interested in the air. I yeah, so we decided
to watch in timeline order.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Oh that's a cool way of doing it all. It is.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
It's really fun. But Saturday night we wrapped up one
movie and he goes.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Do you think we could watch a second movie? I said,
you know what, buddy, we can.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
You know what you're making his resentment towards his own
sister CrowI stuff because the.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Marvel movies on the right, Marvel movies been the most
aren't really appropriate for Sophia but for Will. So he
got to stay up super late Saturday night watching back
to back Marvel movies. And then yesterday probably the greatest
top ten days for me, we took him on a
bike ride ten miles on the White Pine Trail, which

(14:55):
we just can't do with Sophia right now because she's
still in training wheels. And again, I don't mean for
this to sound like I don't love my daughter, but
it was so cool to give Will these experiences every
once in a while, and we'll do it with Sophia.
I'm sure will have time when he's at Graham on
Grandpa's and then we'll do things that Will might think
are lame or boring that Sophia loves because she's younger.

(15:15):
But oh my gosh, you guys, if you have the chance,
and I know it's so hard, with work, with figuring
out camps, with childcare, but if you can find time
to separate each one of your kids with both parents.
He literally all weekend just kept saying, only kid weekend. Ooh,
only kid weekend. He's gonna miss his sister. He'll be
excited she's back tomorrow. But there were so many insane

milestone memories. I felt like we made this weekend, that
it was so worth it.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
That's awesome, Honestly, Schmitte. As a parent, I have watched
my kids go through very similar circumstances over and over again,
and there is nothing they like more than that individual attention,
except for rubbing it in the other one's face. When
it's all said and done. You know what we did
over the weekend? You know what we did over the weekend?
Like it is they they relish in that opportunity. Oh,

Dad and I and mom we went out to Taco Jokunado.

Like I gotta tell you help themselves.

Will is a unicorn. He's a very rare cherub. He's
not going to do that at all, Like, not even
a little bit.

So sweet when Sophia was leaving Saturday morning with my
mother in law. He gave her a big hug and
he goes, Sofia, don't worry. We're just gonna do big
kid stuff that you think is boring.

Yeah, that's he's so sweet.

Like, I'm not concerned about that yet at least, But
I just thought it was such a perfect perspective for
this start of summer. Like, if you're able to do
these things, you know, and I get it. Though, if
you've got a bunch of kids just keeping pants on them,
that's also a win.

I was gonna say that you and I both families
have six like it all too well. Just knowing where
each kid is is a win.

an Australian woman does over seven thousand pull ups in
twenty four hours to break the Guinness World Record. Her
name's Olivia Vincent. And I got to tell you, coming
from a girl who faked knee injury to get out
of track, there's just no way for me, good bye.

Spent a drunk Turkish Man spends hours with search party
looking for himself. Oh yeah, yeah, he wandered in the woods,
wandered in the woods, drunk, trying to find himself in Turkey,
stumbled upon his own search party, and after quite some time,
realized they were looking for him, as they wouldn't stop
calling his name. You know what, I've wandered into the

woods looking for myself too. I haven't had help doing
it very often.

Well that's perfect, because these lost hikers in New York
called police to report a friend's death, only for the
police to discover they were on mushrooms and the friend
was perfectly fine. They were in New York's Adirondag. Police investated,
found the friend, who they then escorted back to the
campsite perfectly healthy.

Oh man, that's a relief TEA British Airways cabin crew
member arrested naked dancing. Yeah, that's right. A British Airways
cabin crew member was discovered dancing naked in the business
class bathroom during a flight from San Francisco to London.
This was only about forty five minutes after takeoff that
they went to look for this flight attendant found them

dancing naked in the bathroom. Sounds like somebody got into
that many cards.

say a two year old is fine after a luggage
conveyor belt joy ride. This is at the Newark Airport.
Official'll say the two year old was able to slip
past a Jet Blue ticketing counter to access the conveyor

belt luggage system, got all the way down to the
lower level and was about to go through the X
ray scanner before PORD authority was able to locate him.

could never go back. I could never just sleep into

to help do something that's really hard for us adults,

then girl, we're already best friends and just haven't met yet.
She decided to come up with a group chat. So

originally she hosted this on WhatsApp. She said, listen, we
can talk online talk about potential hangouts. She named it
the gr Gurlies group Chat, and in just a day,
more than seven hundred women in.

West Michigan joined this group.

She had to move it to disc because it became
such a large group. So from there, the very first
event she coordinated was a couple tuesdays ago a simple
walk and sunset yoga, and she had more than a
hundred women show up. She sat down with thirteen nine

I think something that was really cool about it. Before
it even happened, there was a lot of girls in
the group chat like, Oh, I'm not coming, I'm feeling
so anxious, Like thank you anyway, and it was so awesome,

Like I'm feeling the same way. So seeing them walk

because I gave my son a guitar for his birthday

near as much. But sixteen year old from North Carolina,
Evan Sterling, well, he's been practicing a lot. He's only

been playing the guitar for five months, but he's already
fallen in love with it and it's got a pretty
good knack for it. He's already covering songs by the

going to all the guitar gods. However, when it came

a guitar, he and his dad went shopping again and
he was just testing out guitars at his local shop.

wasn't just offering up some compliments. He had a brand
new Fender Telecaster guitar, valued it over fifteen hundred bucks,

just straight up. He then walks out, and he also says,
the paperwork and everything is in the case. Just take it.
It's yours. Evan's dad telling the local news that he
just was in total shock. There's got to be a catch.
