Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wakem It gets my day going and makes me lab it.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Mac and Schmidty in the morning on Star one oh
five point seven morning.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Good morning, welcome into your weekend, Eve, Thanks for doing
it with us. And and uh, it'll be a hot
one today as we'll start it out good one, pretty
sunny literally or a little bit later on this morning.
Temperatures about sixty right now his today in the lo
to mid eighties, and then the clouds move in and
then possibly some severe weather.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Yeah, we'll have some more with your West Michigan wake up.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
But I just gotta say, man, my my cheap cell
finally broke and we turned on our AC last night,
and I gotta tell you I had the best sleep
of my life. I hate being wrong, I hate spending money,
I hate spending money on electricity.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Yeah, but man, did I have good sleep.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
That's very tempting that you say.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
That too, Muggy yesterday.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Hello, you know we're still sitting there with the whole
fan pointed directly at you while you're sleeping mode at
this moment. But yeah, the acs.
Speaker 6 (01:00):
Treate yourself, movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
It's the celebrities gooop on star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 5 (01:09):
Well, there's been so much talk about Justin Bieber lately,
and now sources are saying that as shocking as it
was to see him sell his music catalog back a
couple of years ago, it's because he was absolutely broke.
Bieber made somewhere between five hundred million and a billion
dollars as one of the world's biggest pop stars at
(01:31):
one point, but blew it all, according to sources, in
such dire financial straits, he ended up having to sell
off that music catalog for two hundred million dollars. Remember
this was back in twenty twenty two. They're also saying
Justin's manager at the time, Scooter Braun, who remember he
has since split with. They say that was also over
money issues, in the amount of finances Bieber owed Scooter
(01:55):
that Scooter told them, hey man, it's a bad idea
to sell this early in your career. Try and wait
as late as you can, but honestly, January of twenty
twenty three would be like the start point here. At
least you'll get a little bit of a tax break.
Did not have enough money to even survive to that point,
which is why I ended up selling in that December beforehand.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Kind of wild here about that this morning.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
I mean, and I'm sure we're just starting to hear
about that, because when you spend that kind of money
in that amount of time, people are curious and want
to know where it all went and why this happened
to you.
Speaker 5 (02:26):
Another day of fireworks on the stand in the Ditty
case as case, Cassie Ventura sat in the courtroom for
a second day of cross examination, and we learned a
lot more about the couple's relationship. We'll start by saying
that Diddy had blackmailed her. According to Cassie, videos from
their freakoffs that he was threatening to make public. She
(02:49):
says it made her feel trapped. Testified that Diddy would
constantly hold this breakoff footage over her head is a
way to hurt her, to make her feel fearful, and
to ultimately try She also talked about a very specific
case of assault back in August of twenty eighteen. Cassie
testified that they had a closure conversation to fully shut
(03:12):
the book on their relationship. She says they met at
a restaurant Malibu did he was being very nice, very playful,
so she ended up driving him home and that is
when he forced her inside and then forced himself upon her.
We also learned the massive number from that lawsuit did
he decided to settle out of court following the beatdown
(03:33):
video being made public. Twenty million bucks he paid her. Yeah, finally,
Demi Levado is getting ready to tie the not over
Memorial Day weekend. Her and fiance Jordan Luntz have finally
set a date. The two got engaged back in twenty
twenty three. It's a real cute story. They actually first
(03:53):
collaborated on a song called Substance in twenty twenty two.
They were friends for a super long time before they
started dating. He popped the question, and now they are
planning to have some kind of service. We're not sure
who's going to be invited or where it even is,
only making claim that it's going to go down on
Memorial Day.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
So very happy for her. She's looking great lately.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Well you like me and completely forgot that she was
even engaged because I did, I mean, I was still
on Instagram.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
So yeah, she talks about it quite a bit. All
of your celebt scoop at West Michigan Star dot com.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Starting a five point seven intes Mack and Schmidt with
feeling good right now and I love a good incredible
rescue story. This one was wild out of Somerset County
in Pennsylvania, where a good Samaritan guy named Ethan Todd
two first names and a whole lot of courage because
he came across a vehicle that was in heavy flooding.
This vehicle submerged up to the top or the bottoms
(04:45):
of the driver and passenger side windows on this suv
two women trapped inside that Ethan notices, and so he
acts quickly and goes into these floodwaters that are rushing
past him. The women have to crawl out of the
window and climb on his back. You can hear just
how intense the situation is on the video being captured
(05:06):
by Ethan's girlfriend. Yeah, they're just climbing out of the window,
jumping onto his back as he pulls each one out
and then taking them eats to safety. Just a wild moment.
This is the part that killed me. Schmiddi. Okay, So
(05:27):
he gets these two women out and gets them to safety,
and the guy goes back for their purses.
Speaker 5 (05:33):
Oh, actually though, that's a real pain. I have to
get those cards canceled.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
I just want to know whether they asked or whether
he just was like, hey, you guys need your purses. Still,
your ideas are in there. That's kind of important. All Right,
I'll just go risk my brother. He's back in there
and his girlfriend is just shouting from the from the bank. Ready,
go go, baby, go baby go. But Ethan Todd a
good Samaritan and a hero for those two women.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
All right, So it is graduation season, but this is
a different kind of graduation. A very special ceremony went
down in Grand Rapids yesterday. Problem Solving Court. You haven't
heard of it. I hadn't either. This court works to
address problems like addiction with treatment in an effort to
prevent repeat offenses. This is a big deal. So the
(06:18):
program was actually launched back in nineteen ninety nine. More
than two thousand people have completed a program through the
sixty first District Court here in West Michigan, and it's
literally life changing. Just ask Tiffany Betzer and Irving Logo.
They were both graduates yesterday telling Wood TV it is
the support that makes this possible. I think it's because
(06:39):
of the support and encouragement that they give.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
They do not make you feel judged or less than.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
They seem to have a really good understanding of addiction
and treatment. Just recently was able to move out of
their recovery house in a productive way. I've rebuilt my business,
developing healthy relationships, have my kids back.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
In my life.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
I'm not incredible.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
Michigan Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Welch was the keynote speaker,
and she said, this is working. Rather than just throwing
people in jail, are punishing them, we have ways to
incentivize them to get better. And the numbers prove it.
Graduates are three times less likely to be convicted of
a new crime within three years of these programs, and
(07:21):
sobriety court grads five times less likely in that same
period of time. So congratulations to these very special graduates.
Speaker 6 (07:29):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Place, it's the celebrities group on Star one oh five
point seven.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
Another day, another court filing for Justin Baldoni. In the
legal drama over It Ends with Us, Blake Lively's attorneys
are allegedly saying that this is not the case at all,
but in new legal documents, Baldoni's lawyer claims the subpoena
he sent to lawyers for Taylor Swift was intended to
(07:58):
get information related to to possible witness tampering, an evidence spoilation,
and man, oh man, they are saying that Blake is
actually holding all of this stuff over Taylor to try
in strong arm and somehow blackmail her into public support
for this. So apparently Baldoni has been threatening to release
(08:20):
Taylor's private text messages and doing all of this stuff
if he doesn't get to see the honesty behind what
went on in this meeting that was alleged over at
Ryan Reynolds of Blake Lively's home. Friedman claims that they
have great sources of information that show Blake has been
requesting Taylor to get rid of any and all evidence
(08:40):
that she was involved with this movie outside of simply
okaying her song being used. There is a ton in
this filing, not surprising. Late yesterday, Blake's attorney filed a
motion to strike everything from this letter that was put
into court from Baldoni, saying it's baseless, unnecessary, improper, and
absolutely abusive.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Do you think Taylor will ever speak on this?
Speaker 4 (09:03):
I mean, I think she's going to have to I do.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
I do think she is going to be dragged into
court one way or another over this man.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
That'd be interesting because it seems like she is doing
everything and her lawyers are doing everything to just say no,
this has nothing to do with this, keep us away.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
I'd be interested to know what Justin seems to think
he has to prove. Blake has been holding all of
this over her to try and keep her quiet and
get support for it. It's very fascinating. Former President Joe
Biden allegedly did not recognize George Clooney at that twenty
twenty four fundraiser hosted by the actor. In a bombshell
(09:39):
new book that has just dropped, These shocking details come
from a book titled Original Sin. It's by CNN's Jake Tapper,
and they write than an aide had to actually remind
Biden who Clooney was right in front of him, and
this was the catalyst to George's op ed in. I
think it was the tis right where he's like, it's
(10:02):
time for you to step down. We need to go
a different direction for the Democratic Party. So if you
miss the story, Clooney had seen the former president back
in twenty twenty two. Everything was all right, but then
when he hosted that fundraiser, he said, you wanked out there.
I started to make small talk, and he clearly had
no clue who I was. And that is when an
(10:23):
aid walked up and said, remember this is actor George Clooney.
You guys are friends, You've done a lot together, so
on and so forth, And that was the point that
Clooney said, I just think.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
It might be dangerous for this man to be in
charge of the country.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Wait a second, was this before or after Clooney died
his hair brown? Because I barely recognize that's the way before.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
Just by the way, this big book debut's May twentieth. Finally,
have you.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Gotten a salty sounding email from HBO Max? This is
interesting if you have been sharing your account, they are
silently monitoring you. There has been quite a few posts
that have popped upon social media the last couple days
with an email that users have gotten that just says,
looks like you're sharing your.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
Max account dot dot dot.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
The message urges users to purchase that add on that
allows more people to use their account by ending, and
they say if you don't live with the account owner,
you need to sign up for your own Max account immediately.
This comes after getting absolutely skewered online for yet another rebranding.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Did you see this?
Speaker 3 (11:30):
They're going back.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
They're going back to HBO Max. So they were HBO.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
Max, then they were Max, then they were Max with
a different color, then they were Max with yet another
different color, and now they're HBO Max yet again.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
I would love to know is this all because of
the original silly mistake of not realizing that people from
back of the day still think of Cinemax as Max
because that's what they call themselves.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
For us, I don't think they know people are like boy,
I'd love to be in the meetings where people are
constantly talking.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
About this the Game of Thrones channel, that's what I got.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
But if you got HBO Max, watch yourselves. They know
if you're sharing those passwords. All of your celeb Scoop
at West Michigan start off.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
The good morning to you. It's Mack and Schmidty and
you say you cant your husband and a line Schmidti.
That makes me feel awkward because I like to feel
like I'm on team husband. I don't want to be
an accomplished in something that's getting Chris in trouble here.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
This was I mean, we were weeping last night as
this happened. So he got a bunch of his work
done early yesterday and he texts me while I'm still
a work he said, Hey, is it cool, I'm going
to go out fishing with a friend of mine for
a few hours.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
And I said, yep, no problem.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
And we usually check in with each other on where
he's going out of and how far he's going out,
Like sometimes he'll just maybe fish on Miskegan Lake because
that's generally where he likes to sail out of. Other times,
if the weather's good enough, he'll go out on the
big Lake. And so he said, well, you know, we're
going on a Miskegan We're going to see how conditions are,
but we'd like to go Fish Lake, Michigan.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
Yeah, okay, no problem.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
So he gets home yesterday, it's probably four thirty, four
forty five, and I really religiously watch Wood TV for
my headlines at five and five thirty for the next day.
And so he comes in. I was like, how's it going,
what's up? He said, no, it was great, it was good.
I said, yeah, I catch anything, Yeah, you know, a
couple of lake sturgeon this and that, and I always ask,
(13:14):
you know, but it was safe. You made good choices.
I feel like I have to be his mom, and
he goes, oh yeah, perfect day. Not two minutes later
into storm, teammate chief meteorologist Ellen Bacha's forecast, Do I
see a grand Haven cam with a fog wave?
Speaker 4 (13:34):
You couldn't even see the water?
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Dude? This thing is massive and amazing.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
And I was like, I slow turned to Chris and
I go as that grand Haven currently conditions as we speak,
and he just long pauses.
Speaker 4 (13:53):
And goes, dang, Ellen, it did me dirty on that.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
I was like, how dare you catching him in all?
I was like, that is so dangerous. Christy, I'll be honest.
It got real sketchy, real fast. I go, could you
even see land? He goes, we were only like eight
to ten miles out.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
We were wearing our life jacket.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
You guys, if you have not seen this video yet
of the fog wave that rolls in like a tsunami
over Lake Michigan, you have to go see this because
I've never seen one this big before. It looks like
one of those dust hibobs or whatever that you see
out in like Arizona or some of the Plaine States.
It is just a giant cloud the size of a mountain.
(14:37):
I feel like it's nuhe and let.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
Me tell you, I've been on Lake Michigan for one
of those. It's really horrifying. This happened last summer. We
were out with the kids. But Chris is very, very good.
He's very aware of that, and he actually he started
pulling his lines and going I said, are we done?
He goes, yeah, we need to get in, And literally
two and a half minutes later, I was like, oh,
this is horrifying. He's like I saw it moving in.
(14:59):
I knew it was to be not But when me
and a kid aren't there, who cares. We got lake
sturgeon to catch, we got a rainbow, gilly watt or
whatever's out there.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
I loved your relationship because a lot of wives, a
lot of wives, they catch their husband and that quick
of a lie right there, they might assume the worst.
Maybe he didn't go fishing, maybe he was drinking at
a bar with his buddy, and like, this is all nonsense.
You know better.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
I know better.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
I know he's out there in a giant fog wave
and I would just like to thank my girl Ellen,
because I would never have known if she was not
such a fantastic meteorologist with those live looks.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Ellen, Baga did me dirty?
Speaker 4 (15:36):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (15:37):
I know, never thought i'd hear, but I was like, unbelievable, dude,
You're a father and I don't even have good life
insurance on you too.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
Good movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
It's the celebrity Scoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Well, we had been anxiously anticipating it. In last night
the NFL officially dropping their twenty twenty five schedule. So
we'll start with your Lions. It kind of a mixed
bag here, I feel like, especially reading through the comments
on the Lions Instagram. So you guys start on the road,
which I think people are super bummed about. Yeah, that's
going to be September seventh at Lambeau. But then your
(16:15):
first home game is against US the Bears, and of
course your former Ben Johnson.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
But some big matchups.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
The Lions will be playing the Ravens, they'll get the Browns,
the Fangles, but the final game of the season, date
and time to be determined, will be against the Chicago Bears.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
They did that last year with Minnesota, and it was
basically just like, we'll see how Chicago and Detroit are
doing at the end of the season and then placed
them accordingly. You might want to put them in primetime,
might even want to put them on Monday right football,
You just never know. It's an exciting season. I feel
like for everybody new quarterbacks for Minnesota Green Bay.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Film very optimistic because reading through the comments, Lions fans
are like, Wow, ten wins and I'll be impressed. I
think that the schedule is like too hard, but speaking
of Monday Night football for my Bears fans, that is
how we kick off the season, taking on Minnesota for
that for that Monday.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Night game we see.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
I just feel like the entire NFC North that we
are in is just going to be a battle this year.
The opposite of last year where I thought every team
but the Lions was terrible. This year, I feel like
they're all good.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
By the way, it's not going to surprise you.
Speaker 5 (17:23):
But also quite a few comments about how insanely expensive
tickets are. I noticed people were seeing that it was
two hundred and fifty bucks for a preseason game for
the Detroit lions this year. Netflix with big announcements yesterday
over renewals. So if you are a binge watcher like myself,
here's some of the big ones.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Get this.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
The fourth season of Bridgerton has not yet premiered, and
yet we now know a fifth and sixth season have
officially been greenlit. Very cool announcement from Lady Whistledown yesterday.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
I was just trying to think of what that person's
thank you.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
I'm a huge fan of this show.
Speaker 5 (18:02):
The Diplomat on Netflix actually has its season three premiere
schedule for this fall announced yesterday. Season four has been greenlit.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
Is that what? Carrie Russell? Yeah, she's gorgeous? What? I love?
Speaker 4 (18:15):
An amazing show.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
We both just binged this four seasons. That's the Tina
Fey Steve Carrell show that was renewed for a second
season officially yesterday.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
We asked about that. Do you feel like that's a
show that that should have a second seasonalpecially with the cast.
The ensemble cast was unbelievable. My wife and I went
back and forth on whether or not they should continue
it or whether it was just like this perfect slice
of life show when you leave it alone.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
I wanted Uh.
Speaker 5 (18:40):
Speaking of Slice of Life, another really big one, Love
on the Spectrum, was renewed for a fourth season by
Netflix as well. Got some more of those big announcements
at West Michigan Star dot com. Finally, this is bummer news,
but it was announced yesterday Kevin Hart, legendary actor and comedian,
will not be coming to Grand Rapids. He was supposed
to be performing at DeVos Performance Hall next month, but
(19:03):
according to an email from Ticketmaster that went out to fans,
it simply said, unfortunately, the event organizer has had to
cancel your event. This is part of his Acting My
Age tour. The show was planned for June seventh. We
don't really have any other details, but I think it's
interesting because according to his website, he's still performing in Gary, Indiana,
(19:26):
still performing in Columbus, Ohio, still performing in Rockford, Illinois.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
That verbage was really interesting. The venue is no longer
able to not the event organized the event organizer. Excuse me.
I was looking for that verbage because would that be
the venue?
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Would it be the booking like it would be the
venue in my interesting Yeah, event organizer. So if I
hear more, I'll let you guys know. But right now
that June seventh show is not happening. Refunds will be
given to any of you who purchase tickets. All of
your celeb scoop at West Michigan Star dot com.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Let's throw down, Seah, we battled the sexist time. Look
at it. Get you on the water slides and the
Late River. It's Soaring Eagle Water Parking Hotel.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
Such a great spots all right. One hundred women were surveyed.
Names something that people brag.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
About, something people brag about. I try not to be boastful,
but if you're catching me bragging right now, it's probably
about my lawn. My grass is growing so well right now.
It's absolutely that's a bold moon.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
Because you'll brag to someone and then they give you
that look like, oh sure.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Yeah, it looks good for you.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
What I think it says is that we've got a
lot going on right now. You know, they're like, oh yeah, grass,
that's neat interesting.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Six one six, four five, eight, one oh five seven
collar seven. We've got one hundred women surveyed. Name something
people brag about. Number one answer, you're treating the family
to the Soaring Eagle Water Parking Star.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Who's this Nora, Nora, where are you calling from today?
All right, Nora, you got to tell me. One hundred women,
we're asked to name something people are always bragging about.
What do you think? The top answer was there kid,
they're kids? Why did you go with kids? What were you?
Are you a pat yourself? Noura? Yes?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (21:02):
What are what are your kids? Hold of them? Fourteen
eleven eight and five? Fourteen eleven eight and five? You
got a lot to brag about their mama. Oh, I
do well and four kids? That works out pretty nicely
for four sore and Eagle Water Park passes plus and
Overnight's day. Congrats kids? Is the top eight?
Speaker 6 (21:22):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, I thought people were going to go with income,
because you know, you always meet those people that love
to brag about how much money they make. They can't
help themselves from talking about it. But that was number two,
followed by job and then your body, rounding out the
top four answers. Congratulations, you guys are going to go
have a blast at the soory Eagle Water Park in Hotel.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
Oh, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
You are so welcome, And tomorrow we are going to
be getting you another chance to go see the weekend
at Ford Field over Memorial Day weekend. Massive show. We'll
have your tickets tomorrow with Battle of the Sexes right
here on start one on five points. So sme morning
to you, Smack and Schmidty. And you know, I got
to live not only one of the things I've always
(22:05):
wanted to do last night, Smitty, but I got to
live one of my son's dreams I feel like as well.
Oh and that's to be in a gigantic semi truck
and pull the dang horn.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Ah.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Yes, last night Project Nightlights out there at the hell
of Voss Children's Hospital. Big shoutout to the folks from
the West Michigan Truck Show and specifically from Vmax Transportation
because last night up on our Facebook page you can
see it. I was there at Project Night Lights and
I got to ride in one of the semis that
was doing a parade for the kids at Helen de Vos.
Super super cool that I got to tell you, I
(22:37):
have never been, I don't think up in a semi
like this one. It was more like an airplane than
I ever imagined there would be, with so many different
like odometers and everything else, so many different switches and buttons.
You could get messed with h The bed in the
back like I.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Like I have full bed is crazy like an apartment, the.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
TV, refrigerator, microwave, like all this stuff in there. I
got a shout out Matt from Vmax giving me this ride.
But yes, Schmitty, at one point in time before I
got out, you know, I had to do it. Which
fun is it to do the horn? We're past it.
I'm going for this rocket back horn back and forth.
There's something extremely satisfying about that. It doesn't get hold
(23:20):
of that. I would be on that thing all this time.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
I so explain to me is it a button or
is it a pull down? Because as a kid, everybody
knows you make kind of a pull down sign and
the car when you're driving by a semi for them
to sound the horn.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
So here's the thing. He told me. He's got what
is called a triple horn on his semi, which is
like a triple horn blower something like that, and it
is on a switch, but it's also got a pull thing.
But if order for me to do the pole thing,
I would have had to reach across this man, like
stand up, reach across him while he's trying to drive
(23:54):
down the road. It probably wasn't in front.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
Of a hospital. Less than ideal.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Yeah, this is so much so I did the switch,
that tagle switch, and honestly it was it was fantastic.
It was everything I wanted to What is the vehicle
though that? Have you ever wanted to just get behind
the wheel of something?
Speaker 4 (24:08):
I want to get in one of those F one
race cars.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
You would how fast do you think you would go?
Speaker 5 (24:12):
It's not even the speed for me. I want to
see how tight it is. I mean when you watch
those races, I mean no offense. Lewis Hamilton and you
know very stopping. You guys are a little doude.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Do you think your mama hips are getting in that go?
Your mama hips are getting out of bad guard?
Speaker 5 (24:28):
Probably going to be my legacy is I'm going to
create an F one car that is designed around child
rearing hips.
Speaker 4 (24:34):
And that's that's what That's my mark I'm gonna leave on.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
The world seven it Smack and Smitty, thanks for sharing
this Thursday morning with us. Feeling good right now? What's happening?
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Well, nothing makes you feel as good as make a
wish and they do the most incredible things for critically
ill kids, and I want to introduce you to the
latest wish kid that is nine year old Cayden. Cayden
is being treated at Helen de Osprey cardiac condition and
seriously had an out of this world wish. He wanted
to meet astronaut Hernandez Jose Hernandez Cayden's favorite astronaut ever,
(25:10):
and it happened as he predicted in a totally dream
worthy way. Hayden sat down with his super excited mom
about all things space.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
I wish was to meet an astronaut, Jude Jrmandez.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
He wanted to meet him because we had just watched
his movie A million miles away. Cayden was totally inspired.
How Jose did not give up. That's kind of been
Cayden's model since he was sick, like, never give up,
keep going.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
Keep fighting.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Watching Kayden on his wish was a memory I'll never forget.
Kayden looked up and he saw Jose. If you would
have saw my baby's face light up, Oh my god,
it was beautiful.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
It was surreal.
Speaker 5 (26:01):
Arm's mom said, He said, my cheek's never heard so
much from smiling so hard. Got the v IP treatment
with astronaut Heer NANDAZ. By the way, a double feel
good here because they actually featured Cayden at the wishball
in Grand Rapids last week, where they ended up raising
more than six hundred and fifty thousand dollars for Make.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
A Wish Michigan.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
That's incredible.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
They do such good things.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Send them to space, Jeff Bezo, skip this kid right
on the blue Origin. That's awesome, all right. Schmidi actor
and multiple scrosis advocate Selma Blair. I did not know
that she was from Southfield. She's a Michigan native, and
she's going to be coming home to receive the key
to the city and also continue to help the cause
that she is near and deer as a multiple scrosis advocate.
(26:45):
Of course, she was diagnosed back in twenty eighteen and
had gained fame of big movies throughout time. Cruel Intentions
the first one that comes to mind for me Legally Blonde,
the hell Boy franchise, tons more, and since then has
I kind of put the acting career as a back
seat while she has done so much to talk about
her MS diagnosis, everything she's gone through and be an
(27:08):
advocate for others. She had her twenty twenty two memoir
Mean Baby, that she got really deep into her struggles
and of course just opened up people to what it's
like going through MS. And so for all of her work,
she is being rewarded with this Key to this City
and the Beacon of Hope Award by Yoga Moves MS.
(27:28):
Mayor Kenson Cyber will be there at a luncheon tomorrow
at the Weston Southfield, Detroit to give her that key
to the City and raised funds with the tickets, all
of which going to be disupporting Yoga Moves MS, which
is a nonprofit that offers these free adaptive yoga to
people with MS, Parkinson's disease other neuromuscular disorders too. Of course,
she will be there on hand, signing autographs and talking
(27:51):
about her experience. What I love this about this sh
Fitty is at one point in time, of course, she
was moving with a cane. She had a lot of
problems with her vocal cords from the MS. But as
of last month, Blair told People magazine she's doing amazingly
well and his quote, truly relapse free from the symptoms
of MS.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
He's also got the most beautiful service dog.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Oh I didn't see the pooch. You gotta check that
out this story. We'll get it up for you West
Michigan start dot com. But feeling good is always here
to provide a little positivity for your day. We'll do
it tomorrow six forty five and nine twenty here on

Speaker 2 (28:23):
