Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wa wakem.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It gets my day going.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
It makes me laugh.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Mac and Schmidty in the morning on Star one oh
five point seven. Good morning, Schmitte, you good morning. Welcome
into Wednesday. And it starts out pretty nice out there.
I'm in the mid forties right now. I'm going to
see highs today in the load of mid seventies.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I saw seventy two. I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, I can't hate down at all. Might see something
early on before some clouds move in later this afternoon,
But after that looks pretty good, good right up through
Mother's Day.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Team Schmidy Well cooler tomorrow. But you, guys, here's the deal.
I was actually driving in this morning and I saw
a group of women getting in that last minute training
for the Amway Riverbank Run on Saturday downtown gr And
I gotta tell you, the forecast is kind of looking
the best I think it's been in years. Oh shoot,
I have broadcast down here for fifteen years, will say

(00:56):
that race. So no, I think I'm confident to say
runners are going to be really really I think excited
about it. But I was mostly just bowing down to
those of you getting out of bed at four a
m to run and prepare yourselves for Saturday. We are
different people, but I'm so excited to cheer you on.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, running for fun. I don't know. I just don't
get it.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
It's the celebrities gup on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Well, we've been hearing a lot from former First Lady
Michelle Obama lately as she has been talking about navigating
life post White House living, and she is getting very real.
In the new episode of Jay Shenny's podcast on our
iHeartRadio app talking about therapy being a big part of this,
she reveals wrapping up a huge chapter in the political spotlight,

(01:45):
her marriage still intact, her grown daughters now doing their
own thing. It's the first time she's really starting to
make choices for herself, and it can be a really
weird path, especially for women.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
We need to be coached throughout our lives, and I
think therapy is a form of coaching where somebody objective
can come in and say, have you thought about this
this way? You're entering a new phase of life, how
are you thinking about it? Having somebody that has a
skill set to help you shape a paradigm. I fully
believe in that. I believe in couples therapy. I believe

(02:19):
I believe in it all whatever works for you. And
at this you know, phase in my life, I'm in
therapy right now because I'm transitioning.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
She talks about being sixty and really has been learning
a lot because she said, man, I'm just kind of
taking a backseat with all these divorce rumors as well.
I know that my marriage is very strong, still fully intact,
and also it's my marriage, nobody else is.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
She's so insightful, I feel like, and I think it's
always fascinating because every time there's, you know, a big
new election, they always seem to have put her in
the fold and do her pole results, and she always
blows everyone out of the water and has no interest
in it.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
It looks no, it's all hers. She's just focusing on
herself right now. Is a great podcast, by the way,
West Michigan Star dot com. More drama is brewing in
the Beckham family, so I'm kind of paying attention to
the story for a little bit here. Brooklyn and Romeo
Beckham are now no longer speaking to one another thanks
to the animosity that is totally engulfed Victoria and David

(03:20):
Beckham's family because of a lot to do with this marriage.
Their son Brooklyn has been married to Nicola Pelts for
the past three years, and there have been lots of
rumors she does not get along with David and Victoria
aka Posh Spice. They have actually told friends they don't
believe they are being treated very well. Now the siblings

(03:41):
are going at it. It went next level last weekend
when David had that massive fiftieth birthday. Apparently Brooklyn and
Nicola said, Hey, we would love to celebrate you privately,
to which David and Victoria said no. Nikola calls them narcissistic.
She said, we are no longer putting any energy into
trying to get along with them. This is done. As

(04:02):
for apparently victorious side of things, she is absolutely crushed
that there is this family divide and no one is
talking to them.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Nice reminder that even with millions and millions and millions
of dollars, family squabble.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Is still going to be there, brutal. Finally, Tom Brady
is once again talking about his massively successful Netflix roast
last year, saying while he had a fabulous time and
was really on cloud nine with how fun it was.
He's pretty regretful because it is still costing him with

(04:34):
his kids and they've had a really hard time with
what was said on the special.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
I regret that my kids had to Like it's tough
on my kids for sure, And like I said earlier,
I don't take myself too serious, but I do understand,
Like for my kids, that was really hard and I
didn't realize, you know, like there's some things a parent
you up and you don't realize until after, like you know,
and you just you you were not perfect parents, like
and you'll see as you grow up, like there's no

(04:59):
there's no perfect man annual for it, and like you
got to value yourself as a parent too all the time.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, he's talking with Jake Paul on The Impulsive podcast.
A lot of this still stems from the fact that
people went in hard on Giselle's new boyfriend at the time,
which of course is now baby Daddy, with this new
sibling becoming a part of things, and it's something he
is still working through with his children.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, time heals all wounds, and I bet they look
back someday and think it's kind of all right.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
All of you were celeb Scoop at West Michigan Star.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Dot com selling a fine points Chevin. It's Mack and Schmidt.
I'm always looking to bring some positivity to your morning.
Let's do it feeling good right now And this Saturday
will be the forty eighth running of the Amway Riverbank Run,
and it will be the forty seventh running for Dennis
Barber of Grand Rapids. He's been running the twenty five

(05:46):
k since nineteen seventy nine. Unbelievable, gonna be racing in
his forty seventh Riverbank Run this Saturday. Pretty wild that
he started doing this after knee surgery, of all things,
led him to it. Would he be? The therapist told me,
I want to take up walking and running, he said,
So I got started running, saw the Riverbank Run on
the calendar and being promoted, so I started and got hooked.

(06:10):
He's only missed one year ever, and that was the
inaugural race back in nineteen seventy eight. Said just loves
this race. Not only is it one of the best
twenty five k's in the country, but it's got that
hometown edge that nobody can top.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
It's a premiere twenty five k in the nation. But
the other is the hometown feel. It's very low key.
The support with the volunteers and the participants and the
runners is key.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Absolutely love his hometown race in Schmindy. This is wild
to me. We talked about the weather earlier for Riverbank Run,
always being kind of this wild thing. Dennis has been
doing this through all of the weather, all of the changes,
and through injuries, including donating bone marrow one year.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
I donated bone marrow like a week before that, which
is a lot of punctures in your lower back. And
it's been been committed to this race for so long.
I was going to do it. So we did a
lot of walking and a lot of pain, a lot
of injuries, but we completed.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
It, completed the race and look at it again. Complete
his forty seventh River Bank Run this Saturday. By the way,
you want to get involved in it, you can still
register Antwakeriverbankrun dot com.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
All right, let's head to Muskegan. I really want to
spotlight this incredible organization. It's called Step Up Muskegan helping
young women find a path forward. And one of those
success stories is Selene Chandler. She is twenty six and
endlessly thankful for this group of people. The nonprofit empowers
young women from eighteen to twenty four as well as

(07:35):
single pregnant women by providing housing, mentoring, life skills training,
and it's all in a christ centered environment. This is major.
They learn those big skills by paying low rent for
that accountability, learning, how to get a job, how they
can support themselves. But for Selene, so many of these

(07:56):
peers and mentors at Step Up have actually become family.
She sat down with Fox seventeen to say this is
something she will never forget and it was the best
chance she took.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Umb next told.

Speaker 8 (08:09):
Me to beave me.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Taking the leap is the best thing you can do.
It gives you.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
Hope for a better life because you have good people
walking alongside you.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I just love being able to talk about the incredible
pass that we have in West Michigan's If you want
to learn more, check out Step Up Miskegan. By the way,
they are always looking for volunteers and fabulous mentors.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
It's the celebrities group on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well, a suspect has been arrested after allegedly driving through
the gates of Jennifer Aniston's bel Air home. Remember this
happened on Monday. Excuse me officially identified as Jimmy Wayne Carwile,
and while we weren't exactly sure what happened, police are
now investigating this as a stalking situation. He drove onto

(08:58):
the actress's property, her security luckily jumped in. Excuse me,
I held him at gunpoint until police took him into custody.
Please say they are looking into evidence that this is
stalking based on very bizarre social media posts. At one
point last October, Carlwile actually mentioned Anniston becoming his bride.

(09:22):
He wrote things like, Daddy's always watching me, watch those
who bless me, helping me to get ready to see
my bride, Jennifer. It should be a top priority. He
was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, being held in
the La County Jail without fail. While this investigation continues.
Jennifer's camp still has no comment on these new developments.

(09:43):
But ooh so scary.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Well, she is single, but that's an interesting way. According
to so much Middie.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
All right, singer Baby Rexa is clapping back at internet
trolls over her Met Gali look and revealing she recently
suffered through pregnancy loss. So this all started on Monday
night when Beebe showed up to the Met Gala, and
Azalea Banks, who is known far and wide as quite
an internet troll, went in hard on Bebe, writing things

(10:11):
like SIS gives me hormonal birth control implant or something,
maybe firing back on X writing I am so tired
of people commenting on my weight. I have PCOS and
I struggle with infertility. In fact, I got pregnant and
it didn't work out, and I've been carrying that pain
in silence. I never owed anyone that truth, but maybe

(10:34):
now you'll think twice before commenting on anyone else's body.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
I wish I thought Azilia Banks would have an ounce
of shame, but I still don't think so.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
I'm such a sad stuff for baby. Finally, speaking of
the Met Gala, you want to know how painful that
fashion can get. Just ask Kylie Jenner, who posted a
video to her Insta yesterday showing her team literally trying
to pull her feet out of her stilettos after she
glued them in.

Speaker 8 (11:04):
Then Max told me to tap my feet into the
shoe and now my feet are stuck in the wild.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Dude, it looks so painful. She's talking Max designer Maximilian Davis,
who apparently gave her this advice. You can see both
members of her team working each on a foot. They're
like spraying something to try and loosen the adhesive. Girlfriend
literally glued her feet into shoes.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
What I like about this is that her her boo
right now. Timothy Shallomy was that the nixt Games.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
He was, all right, all of your celeb scoop at West.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Michigan Star dot com, good morning to you. It's back
and spitty. And you mentioned bed parties, and I thought
one thing, but man, this is completely di Well.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
First of all, I wouldn't do that on Star win
oh five point seven while there are kids going to school,
Thank you very much. What I was thinking, No, this
is kind of what people are calling a college reveal party.
I actually came across this article last week and I
was like, Okay, I have got to talk to our
parents because I do not have anywhere near college aged kids.

(12:08):
I'm still working through first grade in preschool. But apparently
there is a new kind of trend, I guess you
will called bed parties. And this mom Linda Long, she's
the mother of three. She has written an article. She
threw a two thousand dollar bed party for her older daughter.
It's something she says, she found out about three years

(12:30):
ago when her son got invited to one. So here's
the deal. You put together all of this fun stuff
to pretty much announce where your child has decided to
go to school. So her daughter was accepted to University
of Miami. So she explains she spent thirty hours planning
and sourcing everything, two hours to set it up day
of the party, and then invited about thirty girls and

(12:54):
then you just, I guess go into the bedroom and
like celebrate this school. And she said, listen, there's going
to be a lot of parents coming after me. But
my daughter, Siana's her name, loves the attention, and I
knew I could really go all out for her. I
spent around two grand Did I have to spend that much? No,
you could easily do this on any budget, but I

(13:15):
went for it. This was her dream school and a
bed party felt like a fun way to celebrate with
family and friends. So she did a branded University of
Miami blanket, she bought a bling champagne bottle, She got
a like reveal cake, she bought two hundred dollars inflatable mascots,
blow up palm trees, boxes of personalized balloons, and then

(13:39):
hosted twenty five girls and they like take pictures and
post this on social media, And I thought, have I
just completely missed this? And so I googled it. This
is totally a thing. Thousands of dollars spend on a
bed party and then people show up with gifts for you.
It's like an extension of a like grad party.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
That's what I'm saying. Like, there's so many things that
happen at the end of a school year, for especially
kids headed off to college. Putting this thing in there
too sounds absolutely ridiculous and terrible.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
That's insane. This mom says. Gifts can range from school
merchandise to items in school colors. Our go to get
is a baseball cap with the patch from the school
on it. It's simple and makes sense price wise. Well,
I'm sure it does have to spend two thousand dollars.
She said. It's daughter's stream school, and this is kind
of a once in a lifetime thing. So my immediate

(14:29):
reaction very similarly to what all of you said on Facebook,
which is nope, dumbest thing I've heard since gender reveal parties,
completely unnecessary if it wasn't two thousand dollars. I actually
don't hate the idea.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
I like the I love those ones where you find
out what college you're going to right then and there,
not so much of like, let's celebrate me after a
videos of yes, oh, I love that, and if they
were coming in there to figure that out and then
you know, celebrate the school in that particular way. I
think that would be fun. But this is just rich
people doing spoiled stuff. And even if you toned it

(15:06):
way down, like.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
If it didn't have a two thousand dollars price tag,
if you threw together a little party for your son
or daughter's good friends and people showed up with like
cute gear from like the campus.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Store, yeah, I feel like that's a grad party. That's
a grad party to me, And everything about this bed
party can be done at a grad party, but with
your friends and family too.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
What about not having a grad party, because that's another question.
There's a lot of people that have actually chimed in
on this and said, you know what, I like this
better than a grad party. This is cheaper than a
grad party.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
What do you think?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Six month six four five eight, one oh five seven.
They're called college bed parties. It's kind of a college
reveal party where you go all out. You deck out
your son or daughter's room to let the world know
where they have decided to continue their education. Give us
a call, hit us up on our talk back inside
our iHeartRadio app. I've got the article posted on our Facebook.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Mack and and let's dive into this.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Week's Oh man, guys, we have officially entered yet another
round of open windows season. I said it, I said,
this is gonna have nothing to do with my kids
this week. My parent confession is that I love when
the weather gets warm enough but not too hot, that

(16:21):
the AC turns on and you close your windows so
that I can spy on your parenting because it makes
me feel so good. I posted this video to my
Instagram earlier this week at Schmidt in the Mitt and
I said, it's happened. It was my first evening hanging
outside on the deck, and I could hear I could
hear a couple houses in my neighborhood. I heard the countdowns.

(16:41):
Oh yeah, I heard the you know. I mean, it's
never anything violent, It's just very strongly worded suggestions about
screen time, bedtime, dinner time. And I thought, you know what,
there have to be so many other parents like me
that get so happy like Oh, as I put it, Deborah,

(17:02):
that was me last night. You go get him, honey.
When I posted this, Eric, a fellow dad who gets
it all too well, said Schmitty. I sit on that deck,
put on some low yacht rock, pretending I'm just relaxing,
when in fact, I'm making sure everyone else in the
neighborhood parents the same way I do.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Honestly, Smitty, is there anything better than hearing another parent
do the countdown? No, and just knowing we don't even
know what happens when we get to zero, but you'll
never let it get there because we know it's bad.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
I don't know who you are, but you're in my tribe.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
Smoothies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
It's the celebrity scoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Well this was breaking scoop yesterday. Motown legend Smokey Robinson
is being sued by four women who say they used
to work for him, claiming he repeatedly sexually assaulted them
during their employment. There are even claims of rape. A
suit was filed in LA yesterday by four Jane Joes
claiming they used to work as housekeepers for the music

(18:08):
star and his wife, Francis. The accusers say they all
had some overlap with their work time for Smokey, claiming
they were each assaulted multiple times, the first alleged incident
occurring in two thousand and seven, but going as recently
as to last year. There are a variety of allegations
that have been made in these documents, but some pretty

(18:29):
strong consistency among all four of them. This is interesting too.
They're suing Smoky for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, and
gender violence, but Smokey's wife of twenty three years also
included in the suit. The women are clear she never
engaged in any of the alleged assaults, but instead they're
suing Francis because they say she knew about prior alleged

(18:52):
misconduct that Smokey had committed and did absolutely nothing to
prevent it from happening again. There seeking at least fifty
million dollars in damages. No one from the Robinson camp
has officially commented about this.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
You know, I want anyone who's guilty of the crimes
that Smoky and his wife are being accused ofv to
be held responsible. At the same time, I want that
to be with a criminal component to it as well.
And I don't know if there's statute of limitations things
going on here or anything like that, but I hate
it when there's no criminal component to something like this.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
This will be interesting because Smokey is headed out on
tour in just a few weeks, so I'm assuming there's
a lot of conversation behind the scenes with his team
on this. Kanye West and Pierce Morgan's latest interview came
to a shocking stop yesterday and both guys have different
opinions on what ended this. So Yay and his new

(19:44):
streaming buddy Sneako were live yesterday with Pierce from Spain,
that's where they've been releasing some of these old and
new music singles. The conversation took some kind of turn
from what I can tell. Pierce had brought up the
social following for Kanye, and apparently Kanye was very annoyed

(20:05):
that the numbers weren't right.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
No, no, sir, this is what you gave for now
we can we can circle back when you can count and.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
He stomps off.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Yeah that's it for you. But it's nice to meet
your peers.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
And then that was his streaming. Buddy left in the
chair like, OK, you know, well, thank you for us
sitting down with us. As for peerce, he took to
X saying, well, I interviewed Kanye again today. As expected
given what I've said about him recently, it did not
last long or go well. This was him right before
he stomped off like a big baby.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Invite a clown, expect a circus.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Right, and finally we're still talking about it. I know
whoa who would win one hundred men or a gorilla.
But here's the deal. I absolutely adore Robert Irwin, the
conservationist son of the legendary Steve Irwin, has now officially
we did, posting a video to TikTok responding to this,
saying Okay, I was going to ignore it, but so

(21:07):
many people have been dming me, dropping comments on my
social I even have people asking me on the street.
So here's what he had to say, Okay, I.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Have a couple thoughts on this.

Speaker 9 (21:18):
First of all, I don't know gorillas are strong, mate
like really strong.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
But it's one hundred people, I'm not sure.

Speaker 9 (21:24):
Just as an animal conservationist, fighting an endangered species just
doesn't sit right with me. But like the like, let's
how many people does it take to save gorillas? That's
the question we should be asking because there's not many
of them left anyway.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
The one thing that people aren't really.

Speaker 9 (21:41):
Like saying in this whole discussion, Yes, gorillas are super
powerful all of that, but also they're.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Pretty chill most of the time. They kind of just
keep to themselves.

Speaker 9 (21:51):
So I guess what I'm trying to say is like,
we don't we don't need to fight gorillas.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
It's pretty fantastic. And yes, if you go and check
the comments section, people are still very much thirsting for
Robert Irwin. As the top comment said, you're so correct
and so hot all of your celeb scoop at West
Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
The show's so nice they had to run it twice
Bitty because he's here for two nights. Kane Brown coming
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
This is the high Road Tour. I know there's a
ton of excitement about this. We're gonna send you to
Saturday Nights show with Battle of the Sexes. One hundred
men surveyed. Names something lots of people are allergic to.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
As I got older, I just realized I'm allergic to everything, dust, light,
I'm allergic to light sometimes smitty, I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Late Night Social Situations six one, six, four, five, eight,
one oh five seven collar seven. We've got one hundred
men surveyed. Name something lots of people are allergic to,
and you could be seeing Caine, Brown.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Lugod Morning Star. Who's this perfect Mark? Mark? One hundred
gentlemen like yourself. We're asked to name something lots of
people are allergic to. What do you think? Their top
answer was there, Mark, I gotta go pollen, You gotta
go polland yes, tis the season for pollen allergies for sure,
but pollend's the number two most common answer. I'm sorry, Mark,

(23:12):
Thank you, Hi Star, who's this?

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (23:14):
This is Mike, Mike. I just got a good guess
from Mark. As a matter of fact, we'll just Mark
to Michael. We'll move our way through all the biblical
names today right right now, though, one hundred guys were
asked to name something that a lot of people are
allergic to, and Mark said pollen, which is definitely on
a lot of people's minds this springtime. But that was
the number two most common answer. Mike, So what do

(23:36):
you think the top one is?

Speaker 8 (23:39):
I would have to go with coconut.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
Coconut. I didn't even realize that was a big allergy
specifically for that one. But no, coconut's not on there, Mike.
I'm sorry, Oh darn, thank you, thank you, Hi Star.
Who's this?

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Heidi?

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Heidi ye? I got a couple of good guesses, but
no top answer yet. When one hundred guys were asked
to name something lots of people are allergic to, so
far I heard pollend, which was the number two answer,
and I just heard coconut, which is not on the
list at all. So you got a chance here. What
do you think the top answer is? Heidi?

Speaker 3 (24:09):
I'm gonna say cats.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
You gotta say cats, and I'm gonna say that whether
it's cats, dogs, or any other animal with fur, the
dander can get you. Pets is the top answer. Congratulations,
thank you, You're going to Cane Brown. I got to
ask you a personal question though, Have you ever lied
to people about something that you're allergic to but you
actually weren't allergic.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
No.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
I used to tell people as a kid that I
was allergic to things that were artificial rape flavored, just
because I hated that flavor. I just wanted a different flavor.
Give me green apple, give me strawberry, just leave that
grape stuff alone. But yeah, that was a complete lie. Anyway, Pets,
pollen bees, and seafood running out those top answers. Congratulations, Heidi,

(24:54):
you are going to cane brown?

Speaker 5 (24:56):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
It's gonna be a great show. We'll get you in tomorrow.
Same time. Ain't fifteen Battle of the Sexes here on
stock Good morning too. It's back and Schetty. And let's
talk about something that definitely bugs us when we have
a bad spot, and we love it when we get
the best spot. Let's talk about parking, Schetty, specifically at
big stores, and which one of them do you think

(25:19):
has the worst parking lot?

Speaker 1 (25:22):
I already know mine.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
I feel like so many people are going to have
the same answer. But I bring this out because there's
a video that just went viral that is entirely channeling
how I feel about Trader Joe's parking lot. Yeah, on
twenty eighth Street, the only Trader Joe's in the area.
And I love that store, I really do. But that
parking lot is an absolute nightmare. It makes zero sense whatsoever.

(25:43):
And these guys on TikTok absolutely nailed it. This is
part of a video that is going all over the
place with the Trader Joe's parking lot engineers.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Hey, yeah, I'm TJ.

Speaker 10 (25:54):
And I'm Parker and we're in the Larch tags who.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Designed the Trader Joe's parking lots.

Speaker 10 (25:59):
Joe's is not your average grocery store, so it does
not deserve your average park belong You're rid of this.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Big one three compact space.

Speaker 10 (26:06):
It don'ts aroundabout so if there's too much traffic they
can circle for a few hours. These two sponsors so
close they're going to have to back up together and
they can just coordinated. And we've finally been excited the
parking lot. We always like to go to the store
and see how everyone's enjoying our work.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
This video is so accurate it hurts.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
So they've done a series of these. They do all
different parking lots. I've followed them for months and in
the comments section they're always asking like what could be
the next spot? And I have seen people postmine if
you have ever been to the Horrocks in Lansing, Michigan.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
I've heard about the Horocks.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
This thing is next level. And make no mistake, Horrocks
is one of my most favorite stores of all time.
I grew up right behind there, so we went to
four ocs daily. That parking lot makes absolutely no sense.
And all you have to do is google Horrocks in
Lancing parking lot, Trip Advisor, parking lot from Hell, Reddit

(27:07):
colors are nice, don't bother parking Facebook. I am going
to start a Horrocks parking lot shuttle that will bring
you in from wherever you are because don't even attempt
to figure out that parking lot.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Well. Both of those stores, though, I mean, those are
like the best grocery stores over the air.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
That's how you know, because if you're gonna fight the parking,
it's gotta be good.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
What's the bane of your existence when it comes to
big stores in their parking lots? Hit us up on
Facebook and Instagram at West Michigan Star. I'll draw on
some positivity a little later in the day when you
need it, We're providing right now. Feeling good on stylin
Oh five point.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Love Love spotlighting incredible individuals like Rashia Weatherspoon. Thanks to
her determination and support, this young woman who is living
in her car and homeless, will soon graduate from college.
See At the beginning of March, Rashia had about two
months left to finish her degree in social work, but

(28:02):
she had nowhere to turn. Living in her car, trying
to work at the same time, and without much family support,
it was a lot to focus on while trying to
work towards that bachelor's degree. That's when she learned about
Covenant House in Brand Rapids, an incredible support system system,
and thanks to that, she is finally fulfilling a massive dream.

(28:25):
This is really incredible. Rashia sat down with with TV
eight alongside Selisa Jeffers, a case manager at Covenant House,
who thinks this is the example that you can do
anything you work and put your mind towards.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Benarka tell people here to love their job like they
spoke life into me. Her story will give another young
person the insight.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
Of hey, I can do it.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
She did it, I.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Can do it. Something I didn't want to give up
all but something I knew I had to do and.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
She will do it. A huge congratulations to Rashia who
will officially graduate from Farris State University this Saturday. From
homeless to college grad What an example.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
New bulldog alum. I love it all right, Chmindi dellan
O Barrash. He's from the east side of the state,
Washington Township, and he was just shopping for a mattress
recently when an elderly woman struck up a conversation about
his car. So he was riding in a pretty sweet
Corvettes blue Corvette. This thing is awesome looking, and he
explained that the car actually was extremely meaningful to him

(29:28):
because it belonged to his late brother who had passed
away last year. So the woman actually said, it's my
husband who's really into Corvettes. Would you be willing to
take him for a ride? Heard ninety two year old
husband hadn't ridden in a Corvette before, and so of
course Barash quickly agreed. So they finished up the shopping,

(29:49):
met the couple outside, and then took the elderly man
out of four mile drive. Barash sharing the story on
social media wet nuts on there over eight million views
in comments. This from the video. No, you're totally fine.

Speaker 10 (30:03):
Let's go for a ride, all right, guys.

Speaker 8 (30:06):
They randomly approached me and we are going to take
it for a ride.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
She's gonna have to help me get out.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Don't want to scare her.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Really loud.

Speaker 9 (30:18):
Love it.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
You just hear him say I love it as they
go off on the four mile ride. He said that
the man just kept thanking him for making his entire year.
The man's wife even hugging Barrash after the ride was over.
And how sweet is this for a woman in her
nineties offering gas money to him as well and later
saying she wanted to take him out to dinner. But
for Delano, it was such a special thing because he

(30:41):
was overwhelmed by the love and support that he got
for just doing this simple act for someone, and he
felt like it was a real message from his brother
who had passed away and left him that corvette so
pretty special. Feeling good comes at you a couple times
a day. I always want to share great things going
on out there. Let's do it tomorrow. I'm six forty
five and nine to twenty each weekday on Star Mack
and Schmidty in the morning weekday, starting at six a m.

(31:02):
On Star one oh five point seven
