Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wake.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It gets my day going.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
It makes me.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Laugh of it. Mac and Schmitty in the morning on
Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Good morning, Schmitty, Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Everybody drying off after that soaking that we got yesterday,
so good man, tons of rain. We needed it for
sure coming down. I was feeling under the weather yesterday, Smitty.
But I will say that that rain led to one
hillacious nap that I definitely indulged in.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
It felt won.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Everybody did, Yeah, it felt nice.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Possibly a few lawns even coming back to life, huh,
I needed too.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Mine definitely took a you know, a trip to the
yellowish area of the spectrum, Smitty, because dried out for sure.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Yeah, we'reing me drying out today because if you've got
some plans, maybe the sports practices the rest of the
week is looking pretty fine. I'm really excited too, because
we've got the big Harvest festival coming up this weekend
in Rockford.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
We're already making plans for the kids.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Are excited to be doing some Halloween crafts already. I
don't know we're in full fledged fall. I know it
just happened Sunday, but at least my family was ready.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
It's the celebrity scoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Well, it was breaking scoop last night Dancing with the Stars.
Former professional artam Cha Vincev will not be prosecuted after
his arrest on suspicion of felony domestic violence. V Napa
County DA announced yesterday that her office did indeed decline
to file criminal charges in connection with last month's arrest.

(01:38):
Prosecutors said they could not pursue criminal charges after reviewing
the investigation and evaluating the evidence, because they didn't feel
they could prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ardam committed
a crime, although prosecutors did leave the door open for
possible criminal charges in the future if new facts or
evidence became known. Ardam's attorney said he has maintained an

(02:00):
since from the beginning and is grateful that the district
attorney accurately assessed what took place and determined he should
not be charged now. As for his possibly soon to
be ex Yfavella, it looks like that divorce is still
on amidst all of this drama.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Well, that's the part that you wonder about only because
a lot of times when you see prosecutors not move
forward to the case, it's because the victim often isn't
cooperating or isn't giving the details that they need. It
doesn't seem like that would be the case here though.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Speaking of Dancing with the Stars, a bit of a
spoiler alert if you did not watch last night, our
first two stars have officially been kicked off the show
and not surprising that controversial heiress Anna Delby did not
last very long.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Reginald an Emma, Tory and Pasha Anna and Ezra.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
The final couple who is safe is Reginald Emma.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Yes, the family Matters actor lives to dance on while
Tory Spelling and Anna Delvey both left last night and
man oh Man one of the things that had been
talked about a lot with Anna on the show is
just kind of her attitude, the fact that she didn't
really seem like she wanted to be there.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
I had the story yesterday.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Maxim Tramofsky had some nasty things to say about what
he thought her performance was all about, and when asked
what she would take away from this season, she looked
right at Julian Huff and said absolutely nothing.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I'll take Carl Winslow over this.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Cri Well, he's gonna keep it going.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Finally, this is some incredible news. Last night, Lady Gaga
announcing new music and it's gonna be an incredible joker
foil Aasois companion album that is going to be all Harlequin.
So this is gonna be a soundtrack inspired by her
Joe her character. She shared a little bit of the

(04:02):
info with some of her Instagram followers while giving us
a bit of a sneak peek check this out. Don't
care as long as it's just just a.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Chuzzy gun.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
It's a joker, but the.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
Jokers the joke.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Yeah, it's gonna be phenomenal. She shared the track list
with fans as well, quite a few incredible covers like
good Morning, Get Happy, World on a String, Happy Mistake.
This is gonna drop on Friday, and she is super excited.
She's also teamed up with The Live, which has a
similar exhibit that will be opening the same time as

(04:53):
the movie comes out.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
This is pretty unique. I don't know if I've ever
heard of a companion album. This isn't necessarily just the
soundstack to the movie. This music inspired by her role
of the.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Movie Panyon album Leave It to Gaga. The fans are
really really excited about this. Got some more looks at
that with your scoop at West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Sometime does that get a good feeling?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah? Well, let's give you something. Do you take with
the end of the rest of your day, something to
get you feeling good?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Right now?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I'm starting off five points. Sheavin Mack and Spitty with
you and I love an organ donation story. I just
think it's an unbelievable gift to give somebody part of
your own body like that, And so did Chrissy Miller.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
You tall mom of four who saw a Facebook post.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
About a dad in need of a kidney transplant, and
she decided she wanted to be a living donor.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
In October of twenty two, she started the whole screening
process that you have to go through and found out
that she didn't meet the criteria. She had lower blood sugar,
lose some weight first before she could be even considered
for a living organ donation. Well, that motivated her. She
started at exercize and way more began hiking Why Mountain.
They're in Probo, Utah three times a week. Did that

(06:06):
for a year till one day she just happened to
be walking and met a couple who were vacationing from
Florida and asked what they liked about her state. Sheiller
Joseph said that, you know, it moved him up on
the transplant list to come to Utah, so they were
considering moving there. He revealed he had lupis which had

(06:26):
damaged his kidneys and he was on dialysis three times
a week. This was a chance encounter. This is the
crazy part. Schiller had never once in his life been
on this mountain before that day, but instead they got
to talking, found out they were the same blood type,
offered to get tested and lo and behold, Chrissy was

(06:47):
a match to the man that she just randomly met
on a mountain that she had been hiking three times
a week for a year in preparation to do just this.
So now they're on the list. It's only a matter
of time before Chrissy made that life saving donation. Just
incredible help.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Okay, if it's a Tuesday, then somewhere in the Greater
Lansing area, you're going to find a group of guys
making a big difference. They call themselves the Tuesday Toolmen.
Every Tuesday, rain or shine, they are at a different
home building accessibility ramps for people with mobility challenges. They've

(07:23):
been doing this for the past ten years. More than
four hundred Tuesday Toolmen have gotten together and figured out
different families to help, teaming up with the Capital Area
Housing Partnership. Some take a few hours, other builds could
take all day, but the toolmen are ready. They're all retirees,

(07:46):
handy workers from all different professions. They're builders, contractors, engineers.
There's even a one time minister, even a former Ingham
County sheriff who show up every Tuesday to be part
of this. And they've got a lot of great things
to not just say about the build but each other

(08:06):
as well. They talked with Wilx very cool moments.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
I just love these guys.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Tell you this week something I look forward to.

Speaker 8 (08:13):
It's an amazing thing for me to see.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
If you haven't hed, and I've seen a lot of
amazing things in my life.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
The satisfaction is the people that you help, and the
people that they help are so thankful. People like Derek Gilliam,
he needed an accessibility ramp built for his daughter Denver
when she was thirteen. Last year she had a massive
heart attack, actually went into a coma in their house.
Now fourteen, Denver spent in the hospital since last December

(08:39):
rehabbing from a rare heart condition and brain damage. But
one of the biggest caveats to getting home having a
ramp put into place for her mobility. It happened yesterday,
and boy was an emotional.

Speaker 9 (08:52):
We got our baby homes.

Speaker 7 (08:54):
I'm a little emotional body. Very hack.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
So the Tuesday tool Man the truest thing out there.
Videos up at Westmichiganstar.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
Dot com, movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's the celebrities group on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Well, Denny's four kids with former wife Kim Porter fed
up with conspiracy theories in online rumors suggesting their dad
had anything to do with their mother's tragic passing. His
sons Quincy and Christian, as well as his twin daughters
Jesse and Delilah, took the extraordinary step last night to
address what they call hurtful and false rumors about their

(09:32):
parents' relationship. Part of the excerpt reads claims that our
mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not,
and anyone com claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally,
please understand that any so called friend speaking on behalf
of our mom or her family is not a friend,
nor do they have her best interests at heart. Our

(09:55):
lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was
our world and nothing has been the same since.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
She asked.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
While it's been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could
be taken from us too soon, the cause of her
death has long been established. There was no foul play.
Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone
respect our privacy while we work to find some peace. Meanwhile,
another issue for Diddy as another woman has come forward

(10:23):
claiming she was assaulted by the rap mogul Talia Graves,
alleging she was drugged and assaulted by Combs and his
bodyguard at a party back in two thousand and one.
Very emotional at a press conference yesterday afternoon.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
The trauma of the assault has taken a tone on
my mental health. I've had PTSD depression and anxiety. I'm
emotionally scared. It has been hard for me to trust
others to form healthy relationships.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Safe in my own. Yeah, it gets worse, She says.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Her wounds were reopened in November of last year when
she learned that Ditty actually recorded the horrific assault. So far,
no word from Ditty's camp on this latest accusation.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
And sadly, I'm sure not the last person to have
to come forward at all with accusation.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
Travis Kelce's mom, Donna sticking up for her son, believing
the root cause of her son's uncharacteristically poor start to
the NFL season just comes down to pressure. This has
been a big conversation. Three games in, Kelsey has only
gotten eight catches on twelve targets sixty nine yards, zero touchdowns,

(11:43):
and in fact it was a very close call for
their winover Atlanta. On Sunday, while Donna was at the
big premiere of the new FX show Grotesque Ray, which
of course has a starring role for Travis, telling People
magazine amidst the backlash, I don't think people realize the
pressure sure that people are under, whether you're an athlete
or a professional of any kind in front of the camera,

(12:05):
it's just very difficult.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
There's also a.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Lot of things going on behind the scenes. You don't
realize how many times people are trying to keep you
from catching the ball or trying to trip you or
hits you up, and it's especially hard when you've got
people in your face twenty four to seven about it.
This is after remarks from one of his teammates saying
he's just got a lot going on right now with
football media podcast girlfriend, which is kind of what led

(12:29):
everyone to saying he's been swiftied and can't focus on
what his actual job is.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
And it's tough for him obviously too, because he's literally
one of the greatest, most productive tight ends to have
ever played football. So anytime that you're going through a struggle,
people are going to look at what else is going
on in your life that automatically assume, oh, this must
be why yeah, about he's just getting for a football player.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
He's older man.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
He's not Tom Brady.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Yet It's all right, I think you still got it
in your Travis thirty four is a spring Chicken. Finally,
What Degenerous is out with her new stand up special
for your approval, with quite a few health bombshells, admitting
that she has officially been diagnosed with both ADHD and OCD,
but also going into very serious detail about a painful

(13:20):
condition that she thought was the end. She joked that
her bones were like sand, and she said, I was
a human sand castle. I had no idea what was
going on. I was an excruciating pain. I went and
got an MRI and my doctor said, I've got osteoporosis.
And I said, how does that happen? He said, no reason,

(13:41):
It's just your age.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
She goes.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
That was very sobering, but also did bring up everything
that went on about the toxic work environment.

Speaker 5 (13:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (13:50):
The first I heard about it, I came across a
headline that said, how Ellen DeGeneres became the most hated
person in America. Now I didn't see the other names
on the ballot, but I have to I'm proud of
who I've become.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
The thought of.

Speaker 10 (14:05):
Anyone thinking that, I mean was devastating to me, and
it consumed me for a long time. But with time
you gain perspective.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Yeah, that Netflix special is now streaming.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Have you watched it yet?

Speaker 3 (14:17):
I haven't.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
I've got a chance you. I want to.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
I mean, Ellen has always been hysterical, but I do
want to know how she feels about all this drama
that basically just kicked her off TV.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Yeah, all of your celeb scoop, but West Michigan start off.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Good morning to you. It's back in Schmidti.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
And you're saying Lions fans not exactly the most cool,
calm and collected SMITTI.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Not at all.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
In fact, I found a new study yesterday that says
Detroit Lions fans are the most foul mouth fans in
the entire NFL. So this new study is out from
flash Picks and they actually went through Reddit threads, among
other things, to figure out how many potty words we'll

(14:56):
call them what we're used, And the Lions scored a
ten out of ten. The Vegas Raiders second on the
list and the Pittsburgh Steelers the third worst. But when
you look at the NFC North, the only other team
on here were the Vikings fans at number eight, and
the Lacons were so much worse. And I just thought

(15:18):
it would be interesting to know, when you're in that
high pressure situation, who's worse. You are your partner when
it comes to you at any kind of sporting event,
whether you're at a Lions game or you're watching your
kid play soccer, who gets mouthier?

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Okay, it would be me ninety eight percent of the time.
For most sports. I'm just the more animated one who
cares more about this. But that is not true anytime
it comes to my kids when they're playing and my
wife feels that there's an injustice. If my wife feels
there's something going on in the field that shouldn't be happening,

(15:53):
whether it be to our kids or to any of
the kids, if it's happening to our team, a different
person comes out.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Well, see yell.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
She will yell, oh wow, I go.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
There was a time where she felt like the girls
basketball team was fouling our girls, specifically our daughter a lot.
And at one time my daughter got hit in the
face and knocked down. And I never saw my wife
look like she wanted to fight human beings. Yeah, it
was a whole different.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Human Some people just can't handle it.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
I will.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
I am definitely far more competitive than my husband. I
will yell to Will, like, you know, hustle or do this.
I won't necessarily. I don't yell at other parents. I
don't yell at refs. I just that's like a new
level of confrontation, I can't do Yeah, but if we
are at home, in the comfort of our living room,
I am a one hundred and ten percent foul Mouthiared

(16:49):
just made up that word than my husband. I will
go zero to one hundred and like Chris just sits
there and he's like, you don't even care about this team.
This isn't even this is even your team, And there
is just something like he's far more laid back, and
I think it's just it's my aries coming out.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
I get very very emotional quick.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
I'm heeded, and it's like I've had a few times
where even my kids have pointed out. They're like, oh, Mom,
you're saying a lot of bad words today. We'd have
to go to the principal's office if that was us.
I posted just a few stats on our Facebook about this,
and I asked Lions fans, especially, like if you're in
a two lion home, because I'm a Bears fan and

(17:30):
my husband is a Lions fan, how bad does it get?
And honestly, there are people Teresa calls you out. She said,
Lions fans are very disrespectful and foul mouthed. I love
the team, but I am not happy with the fans.
That's interesting. I've been to a few Lions games recently

(17:50):
and I've got to say everybody was very kind, and
I was the visitor for that team, So I don't know,
I haven't seen that, but clearly Teresa has not had
very great communication with Lions fans.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Good morning to you.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
It's Mack and Schmidty and this is sort of a
show recommendation slash all right, Schmidty. When I was a kid,
I got really into Greek mythology interesting, and I thought
it was awesome as a kid, because you know, I'm
just used to you know, Bible stories and things like that,
and so Greek mythology was sort of like an extension

(18:22):
over to that, but with whole new stories, and I
loved it all everything about Zeus And did.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
You watch Disney's Hercules?

Speaker 2 (18:28):
You know that that came a little bit later on
from my obsession on it, but like there was just
so much violence and you were eating people and like
just crazy stories from Greek mythology. If you know, Well,
my son got into Percy Jackson, right, the Percy Jackson
books and the Lightning Thief, and you know that is
where he's a kid of Zeus, so he kind of
got into it too, and I thought it was really

(18:49):
really neat. Well flash forward until now, Schmidty, where I
have been watching this new show on Netflix called Chaos.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Have you seen that all?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Okay, So it's Jeff Goldbloom as Jeff Goldblumin all of
his weird neuroses. Is the guy who's playing Zeus, who's
super paranoid. He's married to his sister, his brother is
also in love with his sister. He's being betrayed by
all of his family members. It is I mean, when
it comes to weird relationships, it's worth than Game of Thrones.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
So, but we're.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Sitting on the couch and it's a definitely not for
kids show. Okay, Greek mythology in its very rawness is
on here and I am watching it. I'm obsessed with it.
My kids have not been in the room at any
point in time during this. They're downstairs as far as
I'm concerned, and my son comes into the room while
Jeff Goldbloom's character Zeus is literally using his gifts of

(19:42):
lightning and thunder to fry one of his brother's eighties.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
The leader of the underworld who can't.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Die and it is a graphic, loud, screaming, violent scene.
And all of a sudden, I just I'm sitting there.
I have no idea he's in the room and behind me,
I just hear what Percy Jackson movie?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Non man?

Speaker 3 (20:02):
None?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
None, Yeah, sorry, buddy, I'm pretty sure this is Percy
Jackson and the nightmares for the next couple of months.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Is this one?

Speaker 5 (20:14):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
It's the celebrities goop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
Well, it was really sad news on Capitol Hill yesterday
as NFL legend Brett farre announced he was recently diagnosed
with Parkinson's only fifty four. The legendary Packers quarterback made
the announcement during a welfare reform hearing in DC. That's
why he was on Capitol Hill yesterday, believing he was

(20:42):
on the verge with a company called Prevacus developing a
medication to help treat head injuries.

Speaker 11 (20:49):
Sadly, I also lost an investment in the company that
I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug. I thought
it would help others, and I'm sure you'll understand why
it's too late for me, because I've recently been diagnosed
with Parkinson's. This is also a cause dear to my heart. Recently,
the doctor running the company pleaded guilty to taking Tanith

(21:10):
money for his own use. I believe that I got
swept up in a civil lawsuit at the instigation of
State Auditor Shad White, an ambitious public official who decided
to tarnish my reputation to try to advance his own
political career.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yeah, just to give you some background there, because this
probably won't be the only time we see the former
packer on Capitol Hill. How about this though? Do you
remember the name Jen Sturger? She was a former Jets
post who accused the Hall of Fame quarterback of sending
her inappropriate and explicit texts when he played for New
York that one year in two thousand and eight. Well,

(21:47):
she posted to her Instagram stories yesterday rating PSA, please
don't send me links to the Brett Barre interview. I've
seen it, I can read adding I don't wish bad
things on anyone, but I know karma never forgets an address.

Speaker 9 (22:02):
Ooh.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Well, and he was comfortable and there there's some evidence
that said Brett farm was not exactly unaware of ware
of some of that money that was being taken from
the welfare fund there in Mississippi was going And it
feels convenient to mention a health battle when you're being
ridiculed for something like that. I mean, I'm just saying,
you see that happen when somebody gets in trouble with
the law, all this sudden they have health problems that

(22:26):
you know they don't want to deal with.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Oh, Justin Bieber's tearful interview discussing shielding Billie Eilish from
the music industry has resurfaced amid these explosive allegations about
Sean Diddy Combs. So this was back in twenty twenty.
Bieber was promoting his album Changes. Billie Eilish had just
exploded on the scene and was in the middle of

(22:48):
this meteoric rise to fame. Listen to how emotional he is.

Speaker 9 (22:53):
It's hard for me being that young and being in
the industry and not knowing where to turn and everyone
you know, telling me they love me, and you know,
just turn their back on Eve in a second. So
if she ever needs me, I'm going to be here
for her. But but yeah, just protecting those moments because
people will take her granted encounters and I just want

(23:18):
to protect her. You know, I don't want her to
go through anything I want through you. I don't wish
that upon anybody.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
Yeah, he was talking with Apple Music, and a lot
of people on TikTok are saying, listen, you've got to
find every person that was involved with allowing Beaver to
be anywhere near Diddy, because this guy has some deeply
rooted scars from what he was put through, and you
can't deny it when you hear that. Finally, I had
a garden revealing she played beer pong at a party
thrown by Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
The Food Network.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
Star, is talking about the amusing experience. Recalling her time
backstage at a recent Swift concert with The Wall Street Journal,
she said that it was quite an explitive lad experience
where she was actually playing beer pong with soccer star
Abby Womback, but at one point turned to her and said, listen,

(24:09):
just get the bleep and ball in the bleep and
cup Aina said it was easily one of the more
interesting ways to meet someone that you really really enjoy.
She added, I'm crazy about Taylor. She invited us back
to the party that she actually threw for all of
her crew and then said, do you want to play
beer pong? And I thought, why not? But I just
can't imagine being at a party with Inegarten playing beer

(24:30):
pong with Taylor Swift.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
And Abby Womback. But did you win? I want to know.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
I does not confirm nor deny, but the full interview
is up with your scoop at West Michigan Star dot Com.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Battle of the Sex is looking to get you to
the great new show on Earth, Wrangling Brothers and Barnum
and Bailey are going to be here next month SHMIDI
October twenty fifth through the twenty seventh, and we want
you and the crew there too.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Yeah, Van Adela Arena. It's going to be epic.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
We need today's number one answer, and we've got tickets
for the family. One hundred women surveyed what would a
cowboy be made fun of for being bad at?

Speaker 2 (25:01):
But nonpurs Oh, that's that I was thinking spitting. You
know you always see cowboys?

Speaker 3 (25:05):
Do you know how those fit on a boot?

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Spitting into the spatoon over there?

Speaker 3 (25:08):
All right? Six?

Speaker 4 (25:09):
One six, four, eight, one five seven. One hundred women
surveyed what would a cowboy be made fun of for
being bad at number one answer, and you're going to
Barnum and Bailey and the Railing Brothers with Sarin five
point seven.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Good morning star. Who's this Jen? Where are you calling
from today?

Speaker 8 (25:26):
I'm currently.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Jen.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
You gotta channel your inner cowboy for a second here.
But one hundred women were asked what might a cowboy
be bad or get made fun of for being bad at?
About riding a horse? You know, I'm more of a
wagon type of cowboy. Uh, that's that's not gonna go
over well on the range. I don't think so. Horse

(25:50):
riding is the top answer. Well done, Jena. Yeah, it
was horseback riding and roping, gotta be able to throw
a lasso, dancing, and then I'm shooting rounding out those
top answers. You know, I don't like I don't like
riding horses, and I don't like draws. Not much of
a cowboy.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
Yeah, I got to hear a cowboy.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Congratulations, Jen.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
You're going to check out the Wringling Brothers Mbarnament Bailey. Yeah,
it's gonna be a blast with the family. We've got
four tickets for you. And if you're listening right now, well,
hopefully you're going to win tomorrow another chance with Battle
of the Sexes eight fifteen. You're on Star one on
five points seven. Ingrats, Jen, thank you, Come on.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
It's you.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
It's Mack and Schmitty, And you know, obviously it's a
tease when people talk about vacations and you don't have
one plan in Smitty, Well, let's hope that you do, because, uh,
I want to know what you feel like is the
number one thing that can make a vacation luxurious.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
So I just saw this.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
My wife and I are going to NAPA next month
and in order to get a wounding around to the
different wineries, my brother hired a driver, a chauffeur, and
so we were talking about it yesterday and my my
son goes, uh, he's hearing his tuck. He goes, wait,
you guys have somebody who's driving you around your whole vacation.
We're like, no, just you know a couple of times
when we're going into these different wineries, he's like, who

(27:11):
are you the King of England? Like immediately comes back
west Bougie.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
We've talked about it before.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
He thinks that that is like luxury to a tea.
What do you think is like a luxurious somebody says hey,
Chris Tomorrow says, hey, baby, pack your bags. We're going
on a luxurious vacation.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
No kids. That is your simple way.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
I've never I've never done. I've never done an all
inclusive resort that's kidless. I've never stayed at a hotel
that's kidless. I adore my children. I've never known what
that's like.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Have you ever flown first class?

Speaker 5 (27:39):
No?

Speaker 2 (27:40):
I have never one time flown first class while paying
for it. I did get put into first class one time,
and man, I take advantage on there. What about this
is the one for me that I thought? What if
you have a private chef? Nothing sounds cooler to me
than soo is somebody else be like, oh, yes, what's
on the menu tonight?

Speaker 8 (27:55):
Sir?

Speaker 4 (27:56):
Ooh, we went down to Florida with friends. We had
a private chef. It is worth every cent you guys,
if that's what you splurge on, it is so perfect.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
You mentioned bringing to your kids.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Can you imagine having a private chef and they're like, yes,
they would like chicken nuggets again tonight, sirh yes them,
it would be me. What is the thing you would
consider luxurious about a vacation. We got to go it
on Facebook and Instagram. Hit us up at West Michigan
Star Sometime.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Does that get a good feeling?

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Well, let's dive into something good, something positive you can
bring with you into the rest of your day. It's
feeling good here unstyling on five point seven. What's happening?

Speaker 4 (28:34):
Well, I'll tell you that this had me crying when
I first sawt on TikTok. A couple days ago, a
couple who met after losing their spouses and getting married
had an unbelievable moment where a double rainbow showed up
right after they said their vows. Scott and Michelle Aliments
had their wedding earlier this month in North Carolina's gorgeous

(28:58):
Outer Banks, and their story is one that is exceptionally touching.
Michelle was married to her husband Jonathan for over twenty
three years before he passed away from a heart attack
in January of last year. Scott was with his wife
Lisa for twenty nine years before she passed in June
of last year following an illness. The two joined a
local grief group in DC where they met and things

(29:22):
took off from there.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
They tell Gma.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
We both lost our spouses the same year, in twenty
twenty three. We were just friends at first for a while,
and then the friendship just grew. I mean I remember
telling him that I was never going to get married again.
So our friendship just at some point along the way
became more than that, and we fell in love.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
And I'm also a pretty rational person, so it seemed
a little fast at first, and then I stepped back
and I said, yeah, but I have absolutely no doubt
in my mind.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
So what am I waiting for?

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Well, the wedding day came.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
It poured rain if for everything. There were hers dinner
the night before, the beach front wedding, and then the
clouds started to part, the sun came out at the vows,
any double rainbow showed itself over the couple.

Speaker 7 (30:12):
It kind of just fit with our whole relationship the
way it's been. You know, God has just orchestrated this
whole relationship from the very beginning.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
It was just completely fitting.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
Oh that's what Scott said, He goes, It's another thing
our spouse has taught us. You can't count on tomorrow.
Only God knows what it holds. And it held US.
I'm telling you this video is going to have your
mesk here running. It is so beautiful. I put it
up on our Instagram stories at West Michigan Star.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
All right, Schmidty, you know the USPS. It's not an
official motto, but you've heard it before. Neither snow nor rain,
nor heat nor gloom of night. We'll keep those people
from completing their mission delivering your mail usually, But how
about delivering a person, because that's what a mail boat
found themselves having to do on a cold night over

(30:59):
on the East Side when a man, who, by the way,
is a US citizen from Florida, so this is a
Florida man story. But Florida man jumps into the Detroit
River from the Windsor side late at night in the
pitch black, thinking that he's going to swim to the
other side. Detroit Fire Department can turned confirmed with seven

(31:20):
News Detroit that they got to call about ten thirty
pm Monday night about a man floating in the water.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Well. A JW.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Westcott Company mail boat spotted the guy in the Detroit
River and they were able to get to him before
anybody else arrived. The crew member first spotted him on
the boat said he the guy appeared to be maybe
disoriented or perhaps had enjoyed a few too many of
those stronger Canadian beers, if you will, But he had

(31:48):
been in the water for a while. According to first
mate J. C.

Speaker 8 (31:51):
Sharp, Captain Neil and I were getting ready to do
a delivery on a freighter coming through. We heard an
emergency broadcast come over from the marine traffic radio. Captain
neilick quickly and we got out to the vessel in
front of us, thet JW. Wescott, and we headed up
river to try to find the gentleman to ensure his safety.
But it seemed like he had been in there a while.
He was about halfway across the river.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Yeah, about halfway across when they finally got to him.
We're able to pull this guy out of the water,
got him to a hospital. He's in stable condition. But
the JW. Westcott's been proven to be quite the lifesaver.
It was just less than a year ago that a
construction worker fell off the Gordy Hall Bridge as they
were under construction there and they had to come to
the rescue then too. So these mail delivery boats are

(32:30):
doing their job and then so but feeling good, Always
here to tell you about something grant going on out there,
some people doing amazing things for us.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
We'll do again free tomorrow, six forty five and nine
twenty Every day here on Star Mack

Speaker 2 (32:40):
And Schmidty in the morning weekdays, starting at six am
on Star one oh five point seven
