Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wa wa wakem It gets my day going. It makes
me laugh.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Mac and Schmitty in the Morning on Star one oh
five point seven.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Way, I'll good morning, Schmetty, Good morning. Welcome into Monday.
After a beautiful summer weekend here in.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Fall, Schmitty packed weekend, packed.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Weekend, is right. I actually I went to Detroit's Chetty.
You will not believe this Friday and Saturday night. I
stayed up past two am both nights. Same.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
It should be a fantastic Monday. You guys, we have
no idea what we're doing because we're over thirty and
shouldn't be doing that anymore.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Uh yeah, you're not kidding. It definitely kicked my butt.
I went to bed last night, I think at like
seven thirty and had an amazing weekend and then awoke
to the sounds of my dog dud.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Prack yak yach.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, that's how you start a week out right.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
There's movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
It's the celebrity Scoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
While she is officially missus Blanco, I guess if she
decides to do that, thinkaly Selena Gomez tying the Nott
with singer and music producer Benny Blanco on Saturday. We're
slowly starting to learn some more details because, let me
tell you, she really kept this under wraps. I didn't
see anything from any outlets, Papa Rozzi, helicopter shots. This
(01:20):
thing was definitely tight lipped and very very private. Sour's
close to the family says Selena actually chose her maternal
grandfather David to walk her down the aisle. The two
are very very close and it was an absolute no
brainer for both her mom and stepdad, who blessed that idea.
Martin Short did indeed serve as ring bearer, and it
(01:42):
was Selena herself that shared pictures from the wedding. She
did kind of a photo dump on Insta yesterday. Stunning dress,
a few family members and some of those big stars
that were there did include Taylor Swift and Paris Hilton,
but it looked very very beautiful.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Benny Blanco, Yeah, well done, sir, well done. Is luckiest
man in the universe. Awards should be arriving in the
mail any day now, all right.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
If you know, UK singer Lola Young very scary moment
over the weekend where she literally collapsed during her set
at a music festival in New York City. This came
just today after canceling a different tour stop due to
a quote sensitive matter. So the singer was performing her
hit Conceded at the All Things Go music festival Saturday night.
(02:29):
She was actually apologizing to fans just minutes before, talking
about having a really, really hard week, and she said this,
sometimes it sounded like a whole bunch of different things,
tough time to perform, record negotiations, some things with her team.
(02:54):
All of a sudden. In social media videos, you see
her stop singing, look off stage and kind of mouth
I need water, I'm feeling faint. I think I'm going
to faint. Bam, eyes in the back of her head
hit the stage, her keyboardist and a few other members
of her team rushing to the stage to carry her off.
She did hop on Instagram to let fans know that
she was doing okay, but that it would be a
(03:18):
very very tricky next few days. It was actually a
really scary video to watch.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
It sounds like, ye, hope he just dehydrated, but sounds.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Like there's a lot going on there. Skyler Thompson, the
Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback attacked in Ireland over the weekend.
This is wild, especially as the NFL starts to really
beef up these international games. A longtime sports reporter who
works for the NFL Network reporting the news. Several men
(03:47):
jumped and robbed Thompson while he was walking around Dublin
early Saturday morning. Thankfully, he suffered only minor injuries in
the beating. He's currently on the injured reserved list. According
to the Steelers spokesperson, they said they have no further
comment at this time. They're working with NFL security together
more info regarding the incident, and they do say that
(04:09):
he is on the mend. They were able to win
over the Vikings, but remember they are staying over there
because they got another game. I think they're headed to
Oh no, the Vikings are headed to London this weekend.
But it is really apparently put a lot of fear
into the players about how secure they actually are overseas.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Pretty messed up, I mean, yeah, do you think they're
upset that we were saying we were playing football in
Ireland as some soccer hooligins just took.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Things too for sure? Probably all right? All of your
celeb scoop at West Michigan Star.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Dot Com stone a fine points. Yeah, but it's Mack
and Schmidty. Welcome into your brand new week. We want
to get it after great to start feeling good right
now and you don't what it leaves time, Schmitty, it's
time to name our new baby pygmy hippo. Of course,
we knew that parents over at john Ball Zoo, Penelope
and Jahari were welcoming a baby boy. They did that
(04:59):
really cool gender reveal actually just a couple of weeks ago. Well,
now it's time to name that new pygmy hippo calf.
All right, so the zoo has narrowed down to three options, Hugo, Blitz,
and Sapo. Which of those do you like? You go, Yeah,
you like Hugo. I think that's a pretty good one
too in there, although Blitz is pretty good. I'm kind
of feeling football right now. But you get to pick
(05:20):
through October third. You can get over there, and it's
kind of cool because they use these is a great
way to fundraise for john Ball Zoo of course, always
doing so much for conservation and what's so great about
this new baby pygmy hippo is that they're an endangered species,
so adding more of them to the just about twenty
five hundred that are estimated to remain out into the
(05:41):
wild is pretty important. Of course, So those conservation efforts
going to be impacted by this naming contest again. You
can do that at John ball Zoo's website. Go and
name this baby hic hippo again, Hugo, Blitz or Sepo.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
All right, the Michigan State football team hetty bye week,
So what better use of time than going to prize
a bunch of kids fighting big battles. That's right. The
five Michigan State football captains showed up to see US
Mott Children's Hospital at Sparrows. This is their Lansing campus MS.
You very excited to be giving back. Just ask those captains.
(06:17):
Aidan Childs Dari has done again, Sam Edwards, Netgeldman and
Jordan Hall taking time out to do all the important
things arm wrestling, uno, tic tac toe, even painting nails.
They tell Wilx this is the most important part of
being a football player.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
We think that this is a great cause.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
We realize that, you know, not everybody's life is perfect,
and people have tragedies in their lives and sometimes situations
like this where we're able to come in and provide
some joying those tough times. We always love coming on
being able to do that.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
It's just so special. You know.
Speaker 6 (06:49):
Sometimes you get in the grind of things and you forget,
you know, some of the impact you have just given
your position being a Michigan State football players. So to
be able to sit down and sort of reconact connected
with the community and just put those smiles on those
kids faces, it's just really special.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
It doesn't matter if you bleed green or bleed blue,
we can all agree these are the moments we love
to see. Got the video for you at West Michigan
Star dot com.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Feel like good, always here to provide that fic meam,
We'll do it again for it this morning at nine to.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
One, Movies, Music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Well, the names were swirling over who would be doing
this year's Super Bowl halftime show. And while we had
major names like Miley Adele, even a lot of people
that thought this might be t Swift's year. No, No,
it is left to Puerto Rican superstar Bead Bunny announced
as the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show coming up
(07:47):
in February at Levi Stadium in California. This guy is
in it. He's fresh off of a historic Puerto Rico residency,
drawing more than half a million fans. He's leading all
nine at the Latin Grammys, which comes up next month
and excuse me November, and he's become the world's most
(08:07):
streamed artist ever. He posted to his install last night
NGA along with a statement. He writes, what I'm feeling
goes beyond myself. It's for those who came before me
(08:28):
and ran countless yards so I could come in and
score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture,
and our history. So we will see him this February.
Jay Z says he has done and continues to do
for Puerto Rico the most inspiring stuff. We're honored to
have him on the world's biggest stage.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
Do you feel like this is just the NFL saying
we need to be a global brand. I mean, we
just saw games in Ireland. Do you see them in Germany?
You see them all over the place. Now, do you
feel like this is for fans here in the USh
bitty as much as it's for fans worldwide.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, I think so. I think it's very interesting because
I do know that he has been very very vocal
about ice raids in the US and actually did end
up canceling some of his shows here so that he
wouldn't put any of his fans at ill ease or danger,
as he put it. I think he is phenomenal, He's massive.
This is only going to maybe help push football. I'm
(09:24):
really excited to see if he brings other people as
part of this too. I mean everyone, Shakira, I mean,
he had a show last week. I saw Harve, Javier Bardem,
Penelope Cruz. All of these major A listers love this guy.
I wouldn't be surprised if he absolutely packs that stage
with some collaborations. Taylor Swift a big part of Selena
Gomez's wedding over the weekend. Of course, the only murders
(09:46):
in the Building star finally tying the not with Benny Blanco,
and we can confirm that Taylor gave a very heartfelt
speech during the couple's reception. Swift's presence was definitely a
highlight of the celebration. According to a sourus. The reception
was loose and celebratory. They were glowing all night. Both
Selena and Benny could not stop smiling. Ed Sheeran also
(10:10):
gave a really heartfelt speech during the reception, and I
had to bring this up because I love it. You
know you've made it when you're getting ripped on. Did
you watch any of the Oregon penn S Day pregame
on Saturday? The Oregon Duck shooting some shade with a
giant sign that read, imagine being at a wedding right now,
so you know you've made it.
Speaker 6 (10:29):
Then.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Finally, it was a big, big night Saturday at the
Big House. Multi Platinum Grammy winning artist Zach Bryan making
history as the first artist ever to play at Michigan Stadium,
a record breaking audience one hundred and twelve thousand, four
hundred and eight ticketed guests. I had special guests star
(10:49):
John Mayer, support from Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentleman
as well as Joshua Sloan. That makes it the largest
ticketed show in US history. It also set a merch
record five million.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Dollars five million bucks in one night of March.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Yeah, it's insane, absolutely wild some really great highlights of
got foryo with your scoop at West Michigan.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Start if got good morning too. It's Mack and Schpintey.
And he said, big weekend. You across a bucket listed?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Yes, I did. I got to drive horses, you guys. Yes.
So I went to Harvest Fest in Rockford and for
a lot of you that know, this is a huge
celebration every year that kind of like final weekend in September,
and they do free hay rides. So we had some
friends come up. The kids were so excited. We went
down there Friday night and I will give a shout
(11:43):
out to Blake, that's his name. He has just these
stunning horses, Mike and Nexus, and so all the kids
are on the wagon. We're sitting right at the front
behind where he's driving, and he must have overheard me
talking to my kids and saying like, I love horses.
It's like always been my dream. I've been to mac
and A Island all these times and I've never like
(12:04):
ridden a horse or done any of that. So he
goes hop on up here and I was like what
he goes, Yeah, as soon as I turn the corner
here I'll slow him down a bit, hop up, you
can drive the wagon. And I was like, well, sir,
don't tempt me with a good time.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Was your husband there saying, certainly, hang on a second,
you don't know what you're getting yourself into.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Chris doesn't do that. He just sits there, dead quiet
with a smug look, going I'm excited to see how
this goes. And of course everyone we're with, like Gret,
pulls their phones out, so I hop my booty over,
I sit on down, and we start.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Going that's your first name, Lauren is driving everybody.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
So it's important you can hear the nervous laughter there
because in Rockford, the way, especially the side streets and
neighborhood streets are we do on street parking, so a
few spots, especially with how busy downtown was this weekend,
we're we're a little snug, little narrow for you. I'm
sitting there. It's so cool, by the way, I've got
(13:03):
the reins and like he's showing me, you know, just
a tight like just a quiet little poll like this,
and they're gonna go right, they're gonna go left, thinking
this is amazing, and then all of a sudden there's
this B m W park and he's turned around chatting
with the people behind us, and the horses are going
at a pretty quick pace and I was like, oh,
(13:24):
I don't, I don't. And we get so dang close
to this car. Literally, Chris is pulling the kids like
elbows in and right, and I hear like a parent
behind me going like oh, and Blake's just like, oh,
nexus here we go, buddy. I mean, I missed this
beautiful car. Honestly, both Chris and my buddy Malcolm told
(13:46):
me it was centimeter you were.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
I was gonna say, you were that close to turning
into Maye.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
But he was great. He got him at the last second,
and he just goes, well, no red paint on that one.
We're good to go, everybody. And I was sitting there like, Okay,
I think it's probably best if you take over again.
He's like, no, you're doing great. I did the whole
entire tour. I did the whole thing. But then I
got off. I was like, thank you so much, Blake.
That was great, And I thought, what are things you
shouldn't do as an adult. I've never even ridden a horse.
(14:19):
I've never brushed a horse. I've ever been to a
horse farm, right, and yet here I am given a
free hay ride to a bunch of people that don't
know me. I look, as you know, look like someone
that may have had a wine in the Urora district.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I cracked the whip just because I thought I was
supposed to.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Like, I'm just it's funny. It was such a cool experience.
He was so kind. They do it every single year.
But at the same time, as a as a woman
that only has a driver's license or an automobile, what
are things you probably shouldn't have done as an adult? Yeah,
that's one of them for me.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
I like that side. I'm glad that you went out
and did u too. Your kids got to see a
stat right up and do that. Was there any road
apples dropped by any of those.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Horses you like? Gosh no, no, no.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
No, because they're crash they don't bid on mind.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
This is Rockford, honey, you know the.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Horses don't PuO in Rockford.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
You guys, I've got to ask something you did as
an adult and then went I don't know if I
ever need to do that again. It was scarier than
I thought. Six one, six, four five eight, one oh
five seven. It was pretty great. I will have a
video posted up to our Facebook if you want to
see my look of panic.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Oh yes, thank you. And at Schmid's in the Mids
as well as at Westpe she good stars.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
There are the facts with human torch was denied at bankloadde.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Are well spare a few minutes to wasting time at
work by clicking on these ones later. All right, the
week's best headlines up for grabs right now? What do
you goat, smiddyde?
Speaker 1 (15:40):
A very mean squirrel quote unquote has sent at least
two people to the er in San Francisco. This is wild.
Joan how Black is one of those women. She said
she was walking in her Lucas Valley neighborhood when the
thing clamped onto her leg and she screened for someone
to help get on off her. She was so full
of watch to go to the hospital the next day.
(16:02):
Isabelle Campoys said it attacked her face. This thing still
hasn't been caught.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
You guys, tell me there's video. I just want the video.
Teacher arrested for using poop spray in school for weeks
cost campus more than fifty thousand dollars in repairs. South
Carolina teacher was shooting poop spray into the vents at
the school. They don't know whether it was a prank
(16:28):
or done with malice, but I do want to say
a lot of the work had to be done to
the air conditioning unit if the air conditioner wasn't working
as school started, and this teacher finally snapped, I can
hold on.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
What is poop spray? It's just poop spray, like poop
spray for what hunting? Give this for you, guys, because
apparently I'm not a twelve year old boy and didn't
know this existed.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
You can have it overnighted on Amazon. I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
An anti aging drug for dogs is said to be
available next next year.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Kind of wan, I mean right.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
They say the FDA approval is needed, but it would
target something called an IGF one hormone. We could have
her fuzzy little nuggets for so much longer.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
At Bine, she been a kindergartener. Kindergarten demanded parents pay
fourteen hundred dollars for their children's artwork.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Yeah, I saw this.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
This is unbelievable. At a preschool in Brisbane, Australia, they
asked parents for fourteen hundred bucks for their child's school
year portfolio.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
So you've never been to a Catholic school fundraiser, have you?
Because I'm said one last year and it was sixteen hundred.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
I'm telling you why that's not going on the fridge.
We're definitely hanging that above the mantle.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
At Bine, a woman named Jenna, who had broken up
with her boyfriend only for him to suffer a concussion
and forget they split up, decided to get married. Yes,
this is a very interesting love story. Apparently, the two
broke up the next day the guy Mitchell, suffered a concussion.
For God, they split up, carried on contacting her for months,
(18:00):
general reconsidered, They reconciled, and got engaged and married.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Filace jokes son Jenna. He remembered the whole time. Finally,
Spinty Hellman's covers repairs after customer sets cafe on fire
over missing mayonnaise. That's right. In Spain, a man set
fire to his sandwich shop after they told him they
did not have any mayo. Hellman stepped in and said,
(18:24):
let us take care of the repairs and make sure
sandwiches never run dry.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Of manager, they spell it let us l E T
t U se missed opportunity really was.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
That's this week's headlines. You see great ones out there,
always sent them our way. That's West Michigan Star.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
Modies Music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
So we had another violent incident Saturday night, and the
tie to a country superstar makes this a very bizarre story. So,
according to reports, this happened in North Carolina. An ex
marine named Nigel Edge pulled up on his boat to
in Seaway Bar and actually opened fire, killing three different
(19:12):
people in a brazen attack. And now that the FBI
has been digging into this further, it was discovered he
had actually sued country superstar Kelly Pickler, claiming she tried
to poison him earlier this year, over a decade after
he was her date to the CMT Music Awards. So
in February, this accused gentleman said that Pickler tried to
(19:36):
take his life by poisoning him the same night they
attended the CMTS. That was in twenty twelve, and he's
just suing her earlier this year over it, he claims
in his lawsuit. The former American Idol contestant handed him
a poisoned glass of jim Bean at the big event,
and the only reason he's now alive is because he
decided not to drink it. There's also several articles depicting
(19:58):
their time together at the CMT, with the country singer
taking this wounded marine as her date. This was a
whole thing set up. Apparently he changed his name. Legally,
he's been alleging that a medical institution tried to end
him as well. This gentleman do in court this morning
for what happened in North Carolina. Kelly and her team
(20:19):
are not speaking about it this morning. Doesn't that just wild?
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Yeah? I mean, clearly somebody and unfortunately it sounds like
a former service member who's sort of broken with reality.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Matthew McConaughey spent almost a decade keeping distance from his
beloved mom because she just couldn't keep her mouth shut.
Matt sitting down with People magazine alongside his mom and
his son, both of who star in that brand new
movie that's coming out, and he said, listen, Mom, you
were just too much.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
We had about an eight year period where I had
to kind of have short conversations with her on our
Sunday phone calls because she was sharing a lot of
that information.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Something on Sunday between son and mom and Tuesday, I'd
read about it in the news or.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
See it in the local paper.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Mom, come on, I couldn't help herself. She is so
dang cute, he said. At one point, she was taking
camera crews around their home showing her, showing them where
a childhood Matthew McConaughey used to sleep, and he called her,
heard the guy on the other end and said, Mom,
you've got to stop doing this. She said, what, It's
just Jim. It's just the two of us, he said,
(21:27):
and the camera on Jim's shoulders showing the world so
almost ten years because everything about his personal life.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Was getting leaked. O proud Mama, that's mama bear.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Finally, if you watched any of the pregame coverage for
our Detroit Lions yesterday, you noticed NFL star David Montgomery
shown some serious Eagle Scout pride. That's right, showed up
at Ford Field showing off all those badges. If you
didn't know it, Montgomery actually earned the Eagle Scout rank
back in twenty fourteen with a project that collected toiletries
(21:59):
for the homeland. He serves as a Scouting ambassador for
Scouting America. He highlights how scouting has instilled leadership, discipline,
and resilience. He's a better athlete because of it. And
he does a ton all around the country with Scouting events.
So everybody thought it was really cool that he showed
up with a sash yesterday.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
I had no idea that he was in an Eagle Scout.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Very impressive, David. All of your celeb scoop at West
Michigan Star dot com selling a.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Fine points you haven't us back in schmiddy Lant's do
this your chance to battle this morning and if you're
a swifty you better be ready to win.
Speaker 1 (22:31):

Speaker 2 (22:52):
You know it's becoming more and more popular to have
like your low kale calorie healthy options.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
You remember the weight Watchers the w on restaurant menus.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Yeah, it's great because I can completely ignore one entire
section and just focus on the areas that appealed to me.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
All right, six one, six, four five eight, one oh
five seven caller seven. We've got one hundred men surveyed.
Name a section on most restaurant menus and you will
be at our Taylor Swift official release party of A
Showgirl at AMC this Saturday morning with Star War five
point seven.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Good morning, Star. Who's this?
Speaker 4 (23:26):

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Olivia? Olivia? Are you a Taylor Swift fan? Are you

I'm gonna make it happen for you. Okay, let's do this,

I want you to win, I'm gonna give you a
big hint. All right, how old are you?
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Ellamorrow?
Speaker 2 (24:01):
You're nine years old? Ella. The top answer is this
section that I would imagine you find yourself looking at
fairly often. What do you think? The top answer is,
Kid's menu is on there. By the way, would you
prefer Krans at your table or no? Krans? Obviously right,
(24:21):
Children's menu is the top answer to go Ella, heck, yes,

to you, Welcome into a brand new week hoping that
you had a fantastic weekends. It was beautiful and I
gotta know, when you're thinking about this last weekend, maybe
some of the fun things you did, did you take
(25:03):
your photos? Because in the Year of our Lord twenty
twenty five, obviously we're taking more photos than at any
other point in human history. But we're not all the same.
Are you the person that when you go out with
friends and family takes way too many photos, just a
ton of them. You can't miss a thing, or are
you like myself and it's always something that you want
(25:23):
to do and you completely just never do it.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah, I'm the social queen and our group of friends
you are. Everybody knows. They're like, she's gonna put all
of it together, She's gonna send out the group album.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
You take great photos, Sure, you really do take some
awesome one. Schmidty and I this weekend. It was so amazing.
All right, my good friend Scott, he was in from
Wichita and he is getting married next month. And it
wasn't like a bachelor party anything. He was up visiting
some family. But we had concert tickets for Detroit at
the Majestic. So Friday night, one of my friends since
(25:54):
I've known since I was eight years old comes together
my other best friend where the groomsmen and his wedding.
We get together for the first time and I think
six years, seven years.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
We gotta take pictures.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
What do we do here in town? Friday night? We
go out, We hit up Butcher's Union, we go out
to the speakeasies. We have some fun here in town.
I show them the studios. You know the view up
here on the floor. We have a blast. Zero photos,
not one single photo taken from the three of us.
That night Saturday, we go to Detroit. We go to
this incredible restaurant, Mabel Gray, and do this in with
(26:30):
like eight course chef's tasting dinner with just all this
insane food. It all looks instagram worthy. I mean, this
is a foodie paradise. I we go to the Majestic
Beautiful Theater watch a show. More of our friends from
high school all show up and meet us at these concert,
people we haven't seen in twenty plus years. There's one
photo of us in front of the venue, all in
(26:53):
a group of like fifteen people.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
I mean, guys are just that's the only photos. Yeah,
the whole weekend.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
It doesn't seem guys are good at it, dude. Outside
our coworker Mike and our coworker Steve, they are phenomenal
at taking pictures. But I guess just must not be
a guy thing.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
That's what I wanted to know. Is it just a
dude thing? Are we just terrible about it because we're dudes?
Because even going into it Saturday, we woke up on
after Friday night and go, guys, we gotta remember to
take some photos, yeah, of this, because we want to
remember these get togethers together. Not then we have one
photo of the three of us that we took literally
before my friend jumped in the car to head back
to Wichita. That's the only photo of just the three
(27:31):
of us for the entire weekend.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
You've trained. My husband, he's a green flag. He takes
pictures everywhere all the.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Time, like it took a Instagram husband.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Well, it's taken me, you know, almost twenty years in
this career. But we go out now and he's always like, oh,
she'll probably want this for the show. Oh, she'll probably
want this for our social So he's he's really good
about that.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Dudes. We need to be better. Right, beautiful start of
the week. Let's make things even nicer for you. Right now,
feeling good? I'm star win O Fon points up and
it's baggage, Vinnie.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
I have to first give serious credit to the Detroit
News who highlighted this video. You may now kiss the
one pride So, a Michigan couple celebrating their wedding last
weekend in Holly, Michigan had quite a nod to the
Detroit Lions. During the free dinner prayer at the wedding
reception for Christina and Patrick, Grandma asked if she could
(28:22):
do the blessing. She had a very interesting reason for
why bless us, soul Lord, but these gifts which we
are about to receive through the bounty through christ our Lord.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
Amen, go a Lions.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Here's why this is great. The bride is a hardcore,
die hard Ravens fan, and of course that game was happening.
She's been a resident of our great Lake state for
a while, but was definitely stunned. With a giant thumbs
down and then a very approving, sly move Grandma, and
I dig what you're doing. A big shout out to
(29:07):
try Foot Productions that caught the video posted it. He's
gotten millions of views, even the NFL sharing it, so
it's really cool.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
You know what to be at a wedding and hear
another man's name chanted out loud would not be great.
And tell it's tarreed God.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
And the groom's chanting it as well. Make sure you
follow us on Instagram at West Michigan Star.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
It's Benny real quick as West Michigan's official Christmas station.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that
Santa Claus needs some help from time to time. We
all know Santa needs Helpers of the US Postal Services
relaunched operations SANNA to help kids who send letters to
the Big Guy make sure that they get to him
and get an awesome response. If you can help him
(29:46):
do that, you could be one of Sanna's adopters and
create an account so you can actually check out up
to fifteen letters, help Santa prioritize those and make sure
those presents find a way to a good boy or
girl this hi holiday season. Really cool letter submissions are
open right now as kids have started to send those
gift ideas and awesome letters to Santa already. You can
(30:08):
continue to be an adopter right up through November three
and check out all of those letters before those wonderful
gifts from Santa Claus get delivered. Very magical, very cool.
I'll put the details up for you West Michigan Star
