Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wake up.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It gets my day going. It makes me laugh of it.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Mac In Schmitty in the Morning on Star one oh
five point seven, Welcome morning, good morning, Welcome into your
hump day. How was your evening last night? Because it
was all beautiful one, it was amazing. We bought all
of our Halloween decorations. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I went
to look at discount patio furniture, but since my kids
were with me, we bought a human sized skeleton, our

(00:32):
Halloween doormat, and a bunch of decorations for the inside
of our house. Man, I doing it today.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I gotta tell you.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
I saw the giant giant coming out of the ground
skeleton at Costco over the weekend, and it burned a
couple hundred bucks in my pocket.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
I was like, oh gosh, let me spend my money, honey.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I can't.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
I tried, and I just I not enough money in
radio for the giant skeleton my children actually want.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
But I figure, Man, this weekend, the high like sixty.
We're doing it. We're in it.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
We're gonna be the Halloween House for two whole months.
I'm kind of proud of it.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
It's the celebrities Goop. On Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
TV chef Rachel Ray sparking concern over her health after
seeming to slur her words and lose a train of
thought in a new video that she shared to her Instagram.
Now I listen to it. I don't have as much
of a problem as a lot of the fans do.
She was opening up about the time she thought she
had nearly killed late singer Tony Bennett.

Speaker 6 (01:36):
I had polished the floors in the kitchen because well,
Tony Benedetto, that's his full last name, Tony Bennett's coming
to dinner.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I have to make sure the floors.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
Are perfect and the house is clean and everything is
just amazing. I might have gone a little overboard with
the floors, because when I pulled out the chair for
Tony to sit down for his starter snacks and a
bit of tavo, the chair slid out from under him
and he hit his head on my marble counter behind him,

(02:14):
and he fell to the floor, and I thought I
killed to Tony Bennett. I thought I killed him.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Literally.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Lots of fans commenting that it seemed like maybe she
was drunk. At one point, people thought she was only
talking out of one side of her mouth, almost as
though she had stroke symptoms. Others pointed out the video
showed her almost having to kind of hold herself up
on the countertop. A lot of people super concerned about

(02:41):
Rachel on this video.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Well, and hopefully she's okay, But I mean, how how
awful do you feel if she's totally fine? He's just
got all of these people.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I watched this a few times and I can't. I
think the biggest thing is that it is just a
very different looking Rachel Ray than you are used to
seeing on television.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Unfortunately, like I do see that.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Hawk to a girl has just inked a podcast deal.
Girlfriend is really shown up for her fifteen minutes. Hailey
Welsh is her actual name and has officially signed on
with the Better podcast Company that is the one owned
by none other than Jake Paul. Talk Toua will be

(03:23):
a weekly show starring the twenty one year old viral
sensation and quote. She'll bring her signature blend of Southern
values and comedic flair to the show and will also
continue to diversify her platform and voice as a regular
contributor to the companies always on character driven social content.
The show premiere's September tenth.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Who asked for this, sh Middie.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I gotta assume it.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
They've aked a contract with her A ton of people,
I guess. So finally the big announcement yesterday, I know
a lot of people were excited about this. Pentatonics is
coming back to Van Andel Arena. There, hollelujah. It's a
Christmas tour officially making a stop December eleventh. Tickets are
on sale ten o'clock this Friday morning. But of course

(04:12):
we are soon to be your official Christmas station, so
we will have tickets to get hooked up with for
that as well.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Absolutely, I mean they're they're like my favorite Christmas group
to come around go to.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
I know, it really is all of your celeb scoop
at West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Sometimes because I get a good feeling.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Starting one point, see im look at to get the
day off to a great start.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Feeling good.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Right now, it's back in SCHMIDI And if you're Alliance fan, well,
I already know you're aware. This is the most anticipated
Lion season, possibly in the history of the franchise. Schmidti.
But there is good news. We're winning the Super Bowl.
I'm not sure if you're aware of that or not,
but ESPN is because they just did their annual simulation

(04:55):
on how this twenty twenty four to twenty five NFL
season is going to white dup Schmidty, and it's got
the Lions winning the Super Bowl and getting revenge over
all of their phones.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Much they went the Sports Illustrated way.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
They went the Sports Illustrated way. That was a pick.
This was done through very scientific stuff, Schmidty. I mean
they put through twenty thousand different simulations of how this
season could play out, and the one that they went
with is the one where you're Detroit Lions are super
Bowl champs. And the way they do it. They beat
your Chicago Bears in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
Then they get a rematch against the forty nine ers,

(05:32):
this time though they take it down. Finally, they go
up against Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Swifties for
the Super Bowl. Schmidty and the Lions, down twenty four
to ten or excuse me, yes, down yep, twenty four
to ten in the fourth quarter, make an incredible comeback
and win the Super Bowl this year. I didn't say it,

(05:56):
ESPN did. There's no jinxes here s year.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
You're not superstitious at all because I'm keeping my mouth
about my bear's completely shut.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Well, I think you should, but beyond that, go liones.
It's happening, people, it's happening.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Okay, let's go to Hamilton Middle School where the buddy
system is truly a beautiful thing to see. Every mom
has really high hopes on their kids' first day of school,
but Emily Algeira always has to prepare herself because it
can be extra tough for her. Now sixth grader Josh.
Josh suffers from something called fragile X syndrome, so he's

(06:31):
had a lot of different challenges and has always needed
more support in school, and it's something she always prepared for.
Every day he'd get off the bus and he'd have
some problems or issues or things to work through. But
the first day at school in Hamilton not the case
because eighth grader Ben Grabinsky stepped up to make a
new friend and it has really proven to impress everyone

(06:55):
around him. Principal Liz Morehouse, Ben and Josh's mom talking
about what difference they've already seen this school year.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
I saw Ben and Josh walking down the hallway and
it was the first time that I saw him.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Walking in the hallway with all of the other students.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
All I could do was smile. Principal came and told
me that it was his first time, and I was
just in shock because he did so good. It just
brings me joy that I'm able to help him put
a difference in their lives.

Speaker 7 (07:20):
You get so used to getting phone calls that are
Josh ran away from school, Josh knocked over the classroom,
and it was just nice to see him be so
successful and then see him come off the bus and
say I did it.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I did it today. It was really good.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
You just feel that mom's heart, she added to zezm.
It just really feeds the soul. That's a great story.
I've got it up on our Instagram right now at
West Michigan.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
Stock Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Oh right, let's get to your scoop.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Sorry, I'm grabbing like last minute audio because I finally
just found exactly what I wanted to talk about with
Kelly Stafford. You're going to get to that, but first,
Travis Kelcey has officially confirmed Taylor Swift is indeed drawing
up plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. I had this
in your scoop last week. The rumor was that she's
gotten so much into football.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
She's actually doing a.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Pretty great job of running down some good ideas. The
pop stars boyfriend was on the Rich Eisens Show yesterday.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
She has just been so open to learning the game.
She didn't know much about the rules and everything. And
I think what makes her so good in her profession
is that she's so detailed in every aspect of it,
from the words to the music to you know, even
the releases and the music videos and everything. She's so
detailed and a part of it that I think she
was just curious about the profession. And I don't think

(08:45):
any of the outlied. I know none of the players
have gotten to coach read yet, but if they ever do,
I'll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
But they exist like there are actually something written down
on a piece.

Speaker 8 (08:57):
She's a little biased. She was a little biased and
just place for me. So we'll see, we'll see if
they can make the coach reads his office.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Yeah, we'll see, because Kansas City officially opens their season
tomorrow night against Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Oh, who knows, Baby Travis can write some of her
songs too. Why don't we just swap all sorts of responsibilities.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Bayden and Eli Manning are also ready to be back
at it with their Manning cast, by the way, any
award winning and decided to launch a ten minute musical
for their upcoming Monday night football broadcast season.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
It sounds just amazing, ladies.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Gentlemen presenting Manning cast the musical.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
All right, listen, ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna need you
to silence your phones.

Speaker 8 (09:45):
Okay, that means you commission a goodell.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Okay, you on the far see you put it up.
Let's leave the critics.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
I so obviously you heard Kevin Hart there ready, Andy Reid,
both John and Jim Harbaugh, Baker Mayfield, Miles Garrett, Michael Boublay,

(10:16):
Justin Tucker, Pete Davidson, Livy Duone, Drewski Snoop Dogg. We
had Roger Cadell and Bill Belichick. This is ten minutes
of hysterical cameo and it's done really really well.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
I mean, the Manning Brothers are such a gift to
the NFL. I mean they have made so much entertainment
out of empty spaces before.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
This didn't exist before a.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Few guys got yea so great.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Finally, Kelly Stafford, wife of course of La Rams quarterback
Matthew Stafford, will not be attending her husband's big season
opening game against the Lions this upcoming Sunday night. She
dropped the news when the two were talking on the
latest episode of her Morning After podcast yesterday.

Speaker 9 (10:58):
Sunday Night football for this first week is incredible. It'll
be so fun. That atmosphere is going to be so
crazy again. I mean I could not imagine, actually I could,
because I feel like the playoff was just like that.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
But it'll be.

Speaker 9 (11:13):
It'll you know, it'll be a good game. There's just
there's a lot of not only players that want to
win that game, but a lot of like I would say,
passion and egos and all the things at play. So
you know, it'll be fun, so fun.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
You will not be attending that game physically.

Speaker 9 (11:30):
Physically, I will not know. I am going to after
our amazing, amazing live show, I'm going to hop on
a plane and head home so I can watch it
with my daughters here. So that's the plan.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
Yeah, so they have a show coming up on the
seventh in Detroit. Actually, but she's talked about this before.
She felt like the kids were pretty bullied last season.
She claims that Lions fans actually booed them when they
came out on the field, and she just doesn't want
to put her kids in front of that this time around.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
I feel like Kathy or Kathy, I feel like Kelly
Stafford brings the drama all the time. Even when she
was in Detroit, there was drama that followed her around.
I think there are very few NFL quarterback wives that
great as much drama as Kelly Stafford does.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
All of your celeb scoop at West Michigan Star dot
Com Good morning too.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
It's Mick and the Geezer across from me, SCHMIDI over there.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Oh, say geezer.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
This is just shocking to me because this has never
happened in my entire career. I've been working at iHeart
for almost twenty years. I've been doing a morning show
for seventeen years, and this has never happened to me.
And It made me realize, oh my lord, I'm getting

(12:44):
into that age bracket and I'm not dealing with it
very well.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
I was at work on Monday morning.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
I was here doing the show, and there was one
other person in our building and he works over on
the sports station. He'll remain nameless because he is a lovely,
lovely gentleman. He's really kind, super helpful, really good at
what he does, youthful, very young. I'm guessing probably between
twenty two and twenty four. And so wee gone at
the same time on Monday morning and he stops and looks.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
He goes, you know what, I feel really bad.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
I've never officially met you before, and I don't want
to be rude, which I thought was so nice. So
he riches out his hand. He says, Hi, I'm so
and so, and I said, oh, it's really.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Nice to meet you.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
I'm Schmitty because I tell people at work that's the
name I usually go by. His mouth drops and he goes, oh, my.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Gosh, are you serious. You're Schmitty. I loved listening to
you when I was.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Growing up, and I was like, that's impossible, sir, because
I'm only twenty one.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Like I have never been told.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
And I work with another one of my co hosts
who has been doing this for many, many, many years,
and it's so funny whenever people will say that, because
he actually started on our top forty station, then he
worked here, and then he went over to the other station,
and people have said, oh, my gosh, you're that Steve.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
I loved listening to you when I was in.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Grade school, middle school, and I could see how it
would just make him feel so old, but nobody had
ever said that to me. I was like, really, I'm
old enough and I've been doing this long enough. Somebody
was listening to me growing up. And then I posted
this to TikTok and I had like four or five
listeners go, I don't mean to make you feel old,
but like, I listened to you growing up and I'm

(14:30):
nineteen now.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, and I want.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
To just fall over or minimum by one of those
stair chairs because apparently I am a step away from
the grain.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
You have become something people remember about their childhood. You
know what I mean When you look back back, Oh,
I used to listen to the radio old timy days,
back when you know you might not remember, but when
Schmidty was.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Out of the here. I know that was a long
time away, woll.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
But like also, so much has happened too, Like these
kids are telling me like, well, yeah, like remember I
would turn your app on right, like the app has
been around long enough. But these kids were like nine
and ten years old listening.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I just don't think you need to say that to
my face.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
And this poor poor man, who again so lovely, so kind,
must have seen my face and immediately realized he screwed
up because he just like gave me this deer in
the headlights look, turned around, went into a studio and
we never spoke another word again on Monday, and I
have seen him like eight times since then because they
he works right next door to us, and he won't

(15:30):
even make eye contact.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Oh, I'm going to drop some seeds when I talked
to him next, I'll just go ahead and say like, oh,
she's so hurt, you really upset her. I'm just gonna crazy.
I'm going to create this drama is.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Amazing, Like how old do you think he thinks you are?

Speaker 9 (15:44):
Then?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Oh, younger than you? For sure? It looks up yeah, death.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Because I think he's gonna look at you and be
like how does fifty feel, because that's.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
How I feel like.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
These people are looking at us now.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
And I'm so distraught over it.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
I posted this on our Facebook because everybody has that
just jarring old moment. You know, I might be in
my mid thirties, but I still feel like. I graduated
from college yesterday, and Cheryl had such a great one.
She said, I had a young woman working in her
office that said her mom was born the year I
graduated from high school. With a laugh, she pointed out

(16:19):
that technically I was old enough to be her grandma.
I absolutely never liked this coworker. It's like it's out there,
it's a thing.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, I was saying, it hurts when it hits you.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
If you think you're sharing some surprising fact about how
old someone is by relating it to something else, it's
not a competent.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
No, this was surprising. This surprised me a lot to
hear someone say that.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Macka's beinning with you and on Wednesdays we know what's up.
As parents, It just you can't help yourself. You gotta
screw up from time to time. That's how you learn,
after all, So what is this week's all right?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Every parent listening will know that children are sponges. It
gets especially challenging when you try to watch any of
the naughty words that maybe sometimes sneak out of your mouth.
And it's happened, and I'll apologize ahead of time. I'm
sorry if there's kids in the car. I don't think
this one needs to be bleeped. But you just have

(17:15):
to understand the context of it, because my three year
old really did use it in the correct way. It
happened over the Labor Day weekend. My husband was actually
the one doing some cooking. He was making mac and
cheese for lunch. My three year old walks up and goes.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Dad, why you cook it? And he goes mac and
cheese out missing the be She goes, hell.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Yeah, and uh, I'm not proud of that. I don't
think that's what we should be teaching her. But at
the same time, I myself loved, love, love the cheesiest
craft mac and cheese.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
What is Chris's reaction in this moment?

Speaker 4 (17:56):
You bite the side of his lists and make her
feel like it's hilarious and she should keep saying.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I was gonna say, if he laughs, it's over for you.
That is the response to everything time for good oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
Well, as one person on the Internet put it, it's
Taylor's league and everyone else is just playing in it.
The NFL just released a promo video for the twenty
twenty four season ahead of tomorrow night's big opening game,
which just happens to be Kansas City taking on Baltimore,
and boy is Taylor Swift in it A lot? Yeah,

(18:56):
Taylor makes five different appearances in the twenty eight second clip.
For the record, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn't even shown
until the very end. Taylor is the only celebrity besides
Dolly Parton, and Dolly Parton only got about zero point
h two seconds in the thing. A lot of people
and naturally have some things to say about this, but

(19:18):
you can't deny Taylor Swift has been a huge part
of an NFL resurgence, especially among women. It is a
lot of Taylor in this promo video, though, I dig it,
but I can see how there are some of the
audience that can maybe get a little frustrated by it.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
You know what, I would imagine that isn't Taylor frustrated
by it? Are they just shoveling her tens of millions
of dollars that we're unaware of? Because otherwise, how did
you get her in that ad? You had to give
her money, right, like she has to be paid in
order to be in there.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
I think if you're in an NFL arena, you kind
of give up your rights and images kinds of things
every time every shot of her was her at an
NFL game. So that'd be a very interest thing to
figure out.

Speaker 8 (20:01):
Now.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
One thing they are not playing around with Taylor's and
Travis have allegedly hired attorneys to look into this. A
Reddit post has gone viral showing an alleged document written
on paper from Travis's USPR firm that has a date
for their official separation and an announcement that will be coming.

(20:26):
This is interesting September twenty eighth. The paperwork looks like
it was created by La based firm Full Scope, even
has the entire rundown for a strategy. It outlines a
plan to release an official statement at the end of
the month and then give a three day post breakup
to allow initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity.

(20:48):
It says the announcement will include being gracious, respectful, and
stress mutual respect. It gives an example of how it
should be worded, things like Travis and Taylor have decided
to part ways after careful consideration. This thing looks legit now.
Representatives say this is not the case, a spokesperson insisting

(21:09):
this is entirely false, fully fabricated, and it was not created, issued,
or authorized by either one of their agencies. They have
called in lawyers, although they're not sure they'll be able
to catch the culprit behind this.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
The only way this ever goes away is if they
get married. That's it, because no matter what now, if
this happens, let's just say that this was all true
and they get rid of this and say, Okay, we
can't break up now because all this stuff came out.
Maybe they won't be breaking up until January. Maybe they
won't break up until December. It doesn't make any difference.

(21:42):
People will just say, yeah, this was always in the works.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Wow, that's really incredibly sad, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (21:46):
Because I think that they do actually really love each
other and this kind of stuff is exactly what probably
ruins a lot of her relationships's I think that's really
really sad. I would like to think they get married.
But if you want to see how authentic this thing looked,
I've posted it at West Michigan Star dot com. Finally,
the Philadelphia Eagles launching an investigation into fake political ads

(22:11):
that seem to show the team endorsing a candidate It's interesting.
Monday and Tuesday, a ton of posters popped up all
around the Philly area showing Vice President Kamala Harris in
a Phillies football helmet with a Phillies jersey on holding
a football that reads Kamala Official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.

(22:32):
The ads have been said not be true at all,
Philadelphia posting an immediate statement saying we're aware of counterfeit
political ads being circulated.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
Even the company that owns some.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
Of the bus stops and billboards these have popped up
on have said this is not true. We have been vandalized.
While these are paid advertising copy that are normally found
in these places. This has been replaced with unauthorized interesting.
The advertisement was fake, the URL on the poster was real.

(23:05):
All it did was direct fans to voting resources in
New Jersey and Pennsylvania. When you go to the actual website,
there's no mention of Kamala Harris or Donald Trump anywhere
on the page. But it was officially confirmed last night.
The Philly District Attorney's Office is now investigating this.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
It's really interesting.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
I mean, you just know that in today's fifty to
fifty political world that there is no major brand like
an NFL franchise that wants to choose the side.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
No, and nor would you ever if you had any
kind of good sense about marketing all of your celeb
scoop at West Michigan Star dot Com.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
It's on a five point seven. It's Mack and Schmdti.
Let's do this battle of the sexist time. He's looking
to gainst you into Brickworld. Grand Rapids coming up in
just a couple of weekends over at de Vas Place
where all of your Lego dreams are coming to live.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Schmidty fifty thousand square fee of Lego displays interactive PlayStation
never before seen Lego vendors.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
This thing is huge.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
You've got today's number one answer. We've got your tickets
for the family one hundred women surveyed, Name a musical
instrument you won't find in an orchestra.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
You know, they really leave the poka folks out of
the orchestra. I don't see accordions very often in the orchestra, Shmini,
And that's something you could really pull in and do
some good things, like a.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Challenging I don't know if I know a single person
that knows how to play the accordion, but hey, see
you at Pulaski Day's in October. You could find one
Grand Rapids Orchestra. All right, here's the deal. One hundred
women surveyed. Name a musical instrument you won't find in
an orchestra six one, six, four, five eight, one oh
five seven, and you can get tickets to Brickworld Grand.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Rapids with Star one on five point seven.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Good morning Star. Who's this ere, Chelsea. Let's see if
we can.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Get you into brick World in a couple of weekends.
You gotta tell me, Chelsea. What one hundred guys we're
asked to name a musical instrument you'll never find in
an orchestra.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
What do you think their.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
Top answer was, I'm gonna say electric guitar. You're gonna
say electric guitar. You know what, I guess these people
have not gone and seen the Trans Siberian Orchestra very
often then, because those guys they rock the electric guitar
in there, however, not a lot of other orchestras do.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
That's what makes tso so cool. Guitars the top answer,
Well done, Awes, thank you.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
Yeah, I didn't think anybody was gonna guess it. It was guitar,
followed by harmonica. Yeah, that one's not featured too often.
Banjo uh in there maybe a very southern orchestra pops
that in. And kazoo rounding out those top answers, which
I think we would all like to see more kazoo
in all bands if we could.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Orchestras rock bands, just bring.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
The kazoo in, I think, bring them all in.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
All right, Chelsea, Congratulations, you're bringing the kiddos to check
out brick World, Grand Rapids.

Speaker 9 (25:48):
Some thank you, welcome.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
We'll do it again tomorrow. Another chance to battle eight
to fifteen here on Star one on five point seven.
Good morning too. It's Mack and Schmidty and they say
the little things add up right. Maybe hear that over
and over again, throughout your life just making little tiny
progress as well. I want to know what's the small
change in your life that you feel like made a

(26:10):
pretty big difference, Because for me, I'm trying to make
the big difference. I'm not quite there yet. I downloaded.
I told you I downloaded one of those, like couched
to five K amps.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
I did one of those a few years ago.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
How'd you do?

Speaker 3 (26:23):
Did you go through all the way through the eight
weeks or ten weeks, whatever it was for you?

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I trained for the Riverbank Run.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
For the River Bank Run.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
See, we don't have a specific one that we're going
for just yet, which five K. But I obviously I'm
always trying to get into better shape and to just
exercise regularly.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
But running I have hated my entire life.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
It's hard.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
I hate running.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
But my wife sort of talked me into this to
do with our daughter and to go have some fun
with it. And we're now into week five and I
have maintained doing this basically every other day. And I
just ran two miles without stopping for the first time
the day. I wasn't going fast or anything, but he
didn't stop. I didn't stop, and that was the hard part.

(27:04):
Like in my head it doesn't feel like physically that
Daunteine at all, but mentally it's like, oh when you
get you know, six seven minutes in and you're sucking
wind and look, you know, like.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
I've never gone and I don't know, Like it doesn't
matter what music I'm listening to, it doesn't matter what
state of mind I'm in.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
It's challenging.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
My friend is doing couch to five k right now
for the Gobble Wobble, So you guys should do the.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Turkey Troad gobble one. That's a good one to get
into it down the one in East Grem It'd be
right about time in there too, that I could get
that done. My favorite part about this, By the way,
I still hate running. I really do hate.

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Running now the way in my life have I gotten
a runners high? And I ran track for two straight
years in high school. I don't know what that is.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
I agree with you, that's a real thing. But you
know what I get to do now, Schmidty. I get
to tell people I'm a runner. I get to tell
every what I see that I've been running. I mean,
isn't that how you know running to be? I've never
met a runner who you didn't know was a runner.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
Mine's not nearly as cool. I stopped eating after seven pm.
And when I bring that up to people, they're like, okay,
so you pretty much have the mindset of a toddler
that goes to bed early.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
I'm like, yes, I do, and I'm very, very proud
of it.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
Sometime does that get a good fey?

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Well, as we see that sunshine faring out over West Michigan,
let's brighten things up even more. Feeling good and starting
a five point seven. Once you got today Smith.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
I mean we got to talk about Daddy Dan Campbell
and the new Applebee's commercial. People have been waiting for
this when they heard rumor that he was going to
be a part of this. Applebee's has a brand new
partnership with the NFL, and the thirty second ad indeed
features Dan Campbell making sure no one is doing any
science stealing.

Speaker 8 (28:44):
Welcome to Applebee's. Can I interest you in America's favorite
phoneless wings for just fifty cents each? I have the
fifty cent bone cover your mouth.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I think it's still your order. I'll have the onless wings.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
I'll have the same perfect I'll never suit com.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Hi it's really really good. He's holding up his menu
over the mouth. It's amazing.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
And in a press conference yesterday after practice, Dan admits
his phone was blowing up yesterday and he didn't know why,
and then he realized the Applebee's commercial had officially debuted.
The Lions head coach said, Unfortunately, there's more to come.
He says his wife and daughter convinced him to do
commercials this off season, so we have not seen the

(29:34):
end of Dan Campbell.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Awesome. I'm glad.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
I mean he is crushing it both as a coach
and is just a bassaerd for Detroit.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
I feel like I think he's just crushing it as
a human being. He is such a lovely man.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Every time you call him Daddy Dan, though it does
make me deeply uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
Don't talk to any woman about Dan Campbell.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
All right, So you have you might remember that they're
this year for our big elections in November. We always
look forward to getting the eye voted sticker. I bring
my kids. That's the only reason they want to go.
Excuse they want to get the stickers. Well, this year
they were gonna look a little different because They did
a big statewide contest for kids getting to design those stickers,

(30:12):
and we have some winners from right here in West Michigan.
The nine overall winners for the state's first ever I
voted sticker design contest just announced. Now, those designs get
actually ordered by different district clerks who order and then
give out to voters, so it will just depend on
whom your district clerk orders it. But there were four
hundred and eighty designs submitted out of fifty seven thousand

(30:36):
plus public votes. We have winners in the elementary division
right here in Rockford Elementary. How about giving it up
for Gabby Warner, whose is so cool it says.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
I voted yay, okay with it right now?

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Yeah, that way right.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Cool with the backwards with the backwards e in there,
it just looks really neat. I'll go over to Lansing
two where it looks like Caitlin Stoutford Hopkins has I'm cool.
I voted with a person saluting the American flag. Pretty
neat right there, But my favorite by far in the
high school division from Brianna Tanner of Grand Rapid Schmidty.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Did you see it?

Speaker 1 (31:13):
I voted that's my favorite.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
That's the best.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
My husband is the trout I voted. You actually just
posted those up on our Insta stories.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
You gotta check them out. But a big shout out
to our three winners from West Michigan. Very cool to
see and hopefully we'll be sticking those on our bodies
when you go vote this November.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Feeling good coming at you a couple times a day.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
I always want to tell you about great things happening,
especially when they're in our community. Just like that, all right,
We'll do it again tomorrow six forty five and nine
to twenty here on Star Winars five point seven Mack
and Schmidty in the morning weekdays starting at six am
on Star one oh five point seven
