Mac and Schmitty in the morning onWest Michigan's Christmas station Star one oh five
point seven. Well, good morning, Schmitty, Hey, good morning.
If you enjoyed that ride in lookingpretty magical, you got more of it
this morning. Ah, that's right. Yes, no fall out there,
especially in areas south and west ofGrand Rapids, but all over the place
(00:22):
getting a little bit today. Smittyand I also think this might be the
coldest morning that we've had so far. Temps right now into the mid upper
teens around most of West Michigan, with fetals like this the first time I
think I've had to use the feelslike this year in the single digits.
Yeah, my Kardash read nineteen onmy way in, So it is definitely
time to make sure the kids haveall the snow gear. We got the
(00:43):
email from the teacher yesterday that waslike, hey, everybody, we still
go outside, so you might wantto start backing the snow pants and boots.
It was that turned into a bigdramatic scene in my household yesterday morning
because we two got that email. We got it Sunday night, though,
and it talked about how kids wereonly allowed to play on this specific hill
that they love to slide down andplay on if they were wearing snow gear.
(01:07):
Yeah, that they have to havethat on there. And my daughter
thought it was like an affront tohumanity, Like, what do you mean?
I could go anywhere I want onrecess? This is It turned into
a battle. My wife's like,look, I don't control Recess. I'm
just reading you the email that wegot so for you, honey, do
you want to sit in class withsoaking wet pianots. It's not the point.
Possibly if I choose to and noone can stop me. See,
(01:30):
my family got the gold star becausefor the third year in a row,
we got an email that said, hey, thank you so much for showing
up with will snow gear all setand ready. He gets to play wherever
he wants today. And I waslike, hey, I'm not good at
a lot of things, but whenit comes to making sure my kids aren't
complaining about being cold, man,am I on top of it? I
(01:51):
can't even keep that track of theirgloves and hants for one day. We
did volleyball last night and my godteron it oor her coat and her hat
and we ca home with a coat. That's all we looked in the gym
for like fifteen minutes for this day, about twelve pairs of gloves, sixteen
pairs of mittens. I've got fortyhats and no, I mean we we
have so many. Will give toall of those drives like brand new things
(02:15):
for you know, people that needthem, because we are We've got them
coming out of our back end.Ladies and gentlemen. We are people who
find all of our stuff in thelost and Found, usually sometime in February.
That's where our things wind up,movies, music, and all the
gossip in one place. It's thecelebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
(02:35):
So fans have been very concerned aboutwhat looks like the unraveling of the
relationship between Darryl Hall and John Oates, and now Darryl Hall is speaking in
new court docs about exactly why thatrestraining order had been filed. He says
his longtime music partner would have causedimminent irreparable harm to their business interests if
he sold off his share of ajoint venture that the Veteran Music group had
(03:00):
come to So apparently this goes backto November ninth, Hall set in court
docs that Oates had been seeking toinitiate and unauthorized and void sale of his
share to a company called Primary WaveMusic. So he's trying to sell off
his music rights. Gewich Hall saidabsolutely not. He said that it was
a series of ill advised business movesfrom Oates. A judge temporarily did block
(03:24):
this sale while legal proceedings and apreviously initiated arbitration process continue. He said
that any moves would break the termsof their agreement, and the two do
not seem to be on the samepage about thus at all. And I
don't think they've been on the samepage about many things for years and years
and years. Other than that theadmission that they both understand they need the
(03:45):
other one to keep making money.Well, I think it's so interesting because
apparently not right, Like this iswhat we see so many times, especially
in Hollywood marriages, Like if yougo into business with any kind of partner,
make it iron glad, because wehave seen this time I'm and again
where it ends up in this reallymessy court case because one person's like,
no, you're not making money onthis, and then putting all of my
(04:06):
money in jeopardy. It's really, really nasty and things like this kind of
money. I don't know if youcome back from Jennifer Lawrence is talking about
the big change she made as amom. It was hiring security. So
she's in a new Q and Afor Interview magazine alongside Kylie Jenner, and
one of the topics they talked aboutafter Jennifer shot down rumors that she had
(04:30):
any kind of plastic surgery, washow overwhelming it was for her son Kai's
safety. She gave birth back inFebruary of twenty twenty two, and she
said, I had to look intosecurity. I didn't really have much before,
but then once I became a mom, I had all of these intrusive
thoughts and anxiety, and I wantedus to have security around all the time.
Kylie claimed she had it the exactsame weight, not a whole ton
(04:53):
of security, until she became pregnantwith her daughter's Stormy, and now they've
got these teams of security guards inrote and Jennifer said a really interesting lesson
she learned was not to ignore thehired help. She said, at first,
I figured I'd want them invisible.I don't want my kid growing up
like with security guards. And thenshe said, wait a minute, this
is a person in our life helpingus, and we ended up becoming very
(05:15):
good friends. I trust him withmy child and it was going to be
that way or not having this kindof help whatsoever. She said, It's
completely changed her whole viewpoint on this, and now is the only reason you
see her kind of out in NewYork doing walks and everything like that because
she has quite a few gentlemen aroundher keeping them protected and deservedly so they
need that. And obviously it's soweird though to have to go through that
(05:36):
as a new mom. But don'tyou think though, that that's like the
number one thing about being a parent. That is the part that you can't
explain to others. When other peoplesay, like you just don't know.
Until you know that, your braincompletely switches in that time and goes from
this sort of you know, you'reyour the main character in your own story
too. Everything is about making suremy kids are okay. Well, especially
a woman. It's researched. It'schemical changes that bring you to this point.
(06:00):
And it's really interesting to hear howthey've opened up about differences in motherhood
as well. I'll link that upfor you at West Michigan Star dot Com.
Mark Cuban is leaving Shark Tank, which makes it feel like it's not
even Shark Tank anymore. Right. He revealed that he is planning to leave
during a new episode of the Allthe Smoke podcast. He said, yep,
this is our fifteenth year. Nextyear, our sixteenth is going to
(06:25):
be my last. The sixty fiveyear old has been a mainstay on the
ABC hit program for over a decade, but only wants one year more to
go. He said the reason heeven started in Shark Tank was he was
very fond of the concept. Hesaid, I love it because it sends
the message the American dream is alive. And well, but I've come to
(06:45):
my point. We are done afternext year. It's not it will never
be the same without the cubes. You've gotta have Mark Cuban on there no
longer. All of your celib scoopat West Michigan Star dot com. You've
hard it's to you. It's Mackand spitty. And you know when it
comes to your kids' names, whenSanta puts on a package, not confusing
at all. That being said, you don't write the wrong name down.
But I guarantee. You you callyour kids by the wrong name constantly,
(07:09):
you never think it's gonna happen, right, You make fun of your parents
for it, and then suddenly you'relike, oh, yes, I have
actually run down the entire list ofpeople that I'm not even blood related to
instead of giving your name. SoI had this come up over the weekend
where it sort of game full circlefor me because like every parent, I
am constantly calling my kids the otherkid's name, my kids Connor and Charlie,
(07:30):
and I am constantly yelling for thewrong kid jarlat Charltte. I'm sorry,
Connor, I died Connor, LikeI do it constantly where I'm switching
them up, and they both getsuper frustrated by it, and I'm like,
guys, it's normal. It happens. You grew up with three other
siblings. You got super annoyed, right, I did, well, So
(07:54):
that was the only girl, andmy mom was still calling Adam, Jordan
and Brett before she got to myname. I wanted to ask you about
dad because you are the you're theoldest, and you're the only girl.
And I find that when I gettogether with my family, I noticed something
different because my dad sort of goesdown the line, like he constantly is
calling me my older brother's name James, and constantly calling my youngest brother Luke
(08:20):
my name, and it's over andover and over. Does he get the
whole name out? My mom doesn't. She'll go surege, but like she
knows it's wrong. After like thissixth time it gets pointed out, you'll
start to hear him catch himself whenhe does it. But if he's talking
stream of consciousness, he's Guinness.Grew up one of our names. And
we over Thanksgiving weekends we did it. And my little brother started to get
(08:41):
pretty annoyed by it, like Idon't think my dad had called him by
the proper name, like the firstfive times he addressed him. Yeah,
And he was getting real annoyed withit. And he goes and he's like,
hey, John, would you grabthat coke over there? And he's
like, no, John can't grabthe coke Dad, because he's on the
in the other room, John, you know, And he's like, I'm
sorry, I'm sorry, and likeI walk in and Connor my loud mouth
(09:03):
immediately opens up and goes, seeDad, see Dad. Nobody likes it
when you call him by the wrongI feel really bad because I will call
my littlest brother by my son's nameanytime weer together. He was there for
Thanksgiving and I just kept catching myselfsaying Will when I met Bratt and he's
(09:24):
just looking at me. He's like, I literally don't even spend that much
time with you. Like I livein Detroit, we don't see each other
whole time. I don't understand whyyou can't get it right. Was he
holding the back of goldfish or somethingin your head? I'm so used to
him being like my little teeny brother. There's over ten years between us that
like, and Will does look likehim when he was little. I just
looked at him and I was like, you know what, man, you're
in your twenties, gimo. Butlet's let's all be real for a second.
(09:48):
Not only do you do it withyour kids, you do it with
your dogs. Oh yeah, withyour cat. You will call your you
will call your kid, yes, well, Sophia Toby Beulah. I'm so
sorry. Now I'm confusing you withactual animals, which I'm certain is not
great for your psyche. What isthe names that you screw up the most
for your kids, Is it withthe dogs? Is it with their siblings?
(10:09):
Six? One, six, four, five eighths one five seven,
You got a way in there. It's even harder when you have everyone at
home. We had six dogs withus over the weekend on top of between
all of us nine kids. Yeah, my mom was like, I'm just
gonna point. I'm not gonna evenattempt to do that for you guys.
I like when you get to likethe fourth person on the list where you're
like, hey, Charlotte Cotter Luke, would you just bring the mashed potato
(10:33):
and not just as the smith let'sshe's given up entirely. All all right,
inside the Big Bee Coffee traffic Center. I've been warning you all morning
things are pretty tough today. Giveyourself extra time. You've got multiple problems
with very slick roads. We'll startbetween Granville and Hudsonville. There's a crash
at westbound one ninety six after fortyfourth. This is just past that Kenawa
(10:54):
Avenue overpass. Car is also spunout and ditched as part of this Howard
City very slick conditions. Southbound onethirty one near M eighty two, That
is exit twenty eighteen. Multiple crashes, including three cars that have rolled over.
Crash in Benton Harbor northbound ninety fourand the off ramp to Pipestone Road
is now closed again. Exit twentynine on northbound ninety four closed. There
(11:20):
is a crash blocking the ramp.Crash in Zealand Riley Street west of eightieth
and a crash north of Zealand atone hundred and twelfth and Van Buren Street.
If you see traffic tie up,call our Star Traffic tip line sixty
one six seven seven six fifty foureighty. I'm never going to be able
to see a picture of you andyour brothers and not think of you being
called the Smithlitz every years. Ifeel like the Jackson five. I want
(11:41):
a family band out of the sometimebecause I get a good feeling. Yes,
Stylino fine point seven here to spreadChristmas, join with music and of
course spread feel good joy with storieslike these. It's Styalino fin point seven
macka Smitty with you, and I'mhappy to bring up every year because it's
(12:01):
a tradition that's been happening since twothousand and six. Yesterday Wama Farms Nursery
in Goebels Smitty kicked off their bigholiday season with their annual Trees for Troops
drive. I think this is socool. A whole bunch of veteran volunteers
make this happen each and every year, and just yesterday got together in some
(12:22):
winter gear to load up more thanthree hundred trees into two FedEx trucks that
are going to be going to troopsacross the country. This is pretty neat.
Some of some of these trees willbe off to military bases in Missouri,
another truck going to Texas. We'regoing to see some go to Illinois.
About three hundred and fifty trees intotal, and again it's all done
(12:46):
by veterans. Michael Ryan he's aveteran in the US Marine Corps Reserves,
and he told Fox seventeen it washis first year helping out and he was
just really amazed to see all thoseveterans come together to support each other.
A lot of veterans might not havea place for Christmas or different festivities that
we get to have as a luxuryin the United States, So getting a
(13:09):
little bit of Christmas spirit from backhome, I guess, is always a
good motivator. I think it's reallycool that veterans are showing their support for
each other, keeping that camaraderie goingalong for future generations of veterans. I
mean pretty cool again. This isits seventeen year doing this trees for troops
thanks to WAMA farms that are overGoebbles. Love that this is such an
(13:33):
amazing story and it just goes toshow you finding therapy in unexpected places and
a lot of times that's with animals. Nineteen year old now college student Kylie
Osage says her best friend just happensto be Blaze, her horse. She
tells scripts he's just awesome. Hetakes care of me, he's safe,
He's kind of just a big oldpuppy dog as we like to describe him,
(13:54):
and he's been a godsend for oSage. Osage was one of seven
people injured in that mass shooting atOxford High School outside of Detroit, almost
two years ago now. She says, the injuries I received that day were
a right broken clavicle, two brokenribs, and the worst of all,
a spinal cord injury, something thatshe still deals with today. In fact,
(14:15):
she can't yet ride Blaze, butshowing up to the farm every day
is the therapy that she needs. She has just finished up with a massive
spinal surgery that will hopefully get herback to the activities that she loves,
like tennis and horseback riding. Shetells scripts, what's really amazing is to
realize that you can seek help inplaces that you wouldn't normally look for it,
(14:39):
and it can completely change your life. He definitely provides a lot of
hippotherapy for me. Just being aroundhim definitely improves my mood. They know
what you're feeling in that moment, and they can truly provide as much comfort
to you as they can, evenas ficious small things like just allowing you
to groom them, or nuzzling upagainst you, or knickering at you when
(15:01):
they see you for the first time. You know, it's seriously such a
big mental health boost. It's reallyamazing. You can tell Kylie has come
a long way because now she says, no matter what's happened to me,
I still believe there is light inthis world. And I thought this was
a perfect opportunity as well to highlightone of the organizations I love in West
Michigan. It's the Equest Center forTherapeutic riding and how perfect that it just
(15:24):
so happens to fall on Giving Tuesday. If you're looking for some of those
organizations that would love those donations. You know, my sister kind of got
my family into horses when we wereyounger, and I know she would tell
you one hundred percent that it hasbeen such a therapeutic thing for her throughout
her life. Still has horses today, she has them with her kids now,
and they're such intuitive animals. She'sright. There's so many West Michigan
organizations that use horses for that exactreason. Again, would love for you
(15:48):
to find those and maybe donate today. I'll post the story up for you
at West Michigan Star dot com.Feeling Good It comes at you twice a
day. I always here for alittle pick me up, and we're going
to do it again this morning nineto twenty on Start one oh five point
seven, Movies, music, andall the gossip in one place. It's
the Celebrities Goop on Star one ohfive point seven. Well, another bombshell
book aimed at the Royals has dropped, and even Taylor Swift is mentioned in
(16:15):
this one. It's very interesting. It's called Endgame Inside the royal family and
the monarchy's fight for survival. Theauthor has lots of different allegations he hurls
towards the family, including how hardit was to actually make any kind of
show for King Charles as we callhim, the Third's coronation that took place
(16:36):
back in May, saying that TaylorSwift actually passed on an offer to perform
at the coronation even though she hadnothing else going on. They talk about
how they also couldn't get Adel HarryStyles, the Spice Girls Olton John turning
it down for scheduling issues, butamong other allegations, includes a lot about
Prince William and Kate. He callsKate very cold, so she's a big
(17:00):
reason that the family has the issuesthat they have. There's renewed details about
how William completely ignored Harry to thepoint where Harry found out his grandmother had
passed through the media because William wastelling the family not to speak to him.
It's really interesting now. Obviously itis getting absolutely panned by the family
(17:21):
and monarchy lovers, but it's veryvery interesting and a lot in the US.
I've been buying this up to readand it's interesting to see people come
after Kate right to me, that'sjust like, oh, this is the
weak link here. We are theusurper of the person who's joining the family.
Oh she's cold, she's ruining everythinglike that they did to Megan and
(17:42):
what they did to Diana. Theylove to tear down the women in the
royal family. This is really interesting. A bombshell report says that Sports Illustrated
has been using AI to create fakeauthors and fake stories for months. So
Futurism drop this report yesterday, sayingSports Illustrated would use images from a site
(18:03):
that produces AI generated headshots for fakeauthor pages, and then would actually attribute
stories to them as well. Attimes, according to this report, the
stories themselves would even be AI written. You know who's pretty irritated about that.
The human writers at Sports Illustrated, who say they're absolutely appalled by allegations
(18:26):
that upper management has been using AIgenerated anything. A lot of them are
unionized. They are demanding answers aboutthis. It got so bad that last
night the Arena Group, which ownsSports Illustrated, released a statement insisting these
allegations are simply not accurate. Theysay the articles in question were product reviews
(18:48):
and were licensed content from an externalthird party company. They say that a
number of e commerce articles did runon certain arena owned websites, and while
they can genuinely monitor their partners, they were in the midst of a review
when the allegations were raised. Theyare assuring their employees that all of the
articles in question were written and editedby actual people, and they say that
(19:12):
an internal investigation will continue and ifthey need to remove content or end the
partnership, that's what will happen. You know, Schmidie. We have reached
peak humanity right now. We havereached that stage in the future that Sian
Fi has been predicting forever where wehave to be like, was it human
or was it robot? Did ithappen? And it's very interesting because coming
(19:32):
up at eight forty five, we'regoing to talk about Merriam Webster's Word of
the Year, which absolutely feeds intoall of this AI stuff that we've been
dealing with this year. Finally, how fun does this sound? Beatles legend
Sir Paul McCartney set to star alongsidesome big names in a newly announced sequel
to the nineteen eighty four rock comedyThis Is Spinal tap So director Rob Reiner
(19:57):
was on a podcast and said, this is going to be so much fun.
Sir Paul McCartney has signed on,Sir Elton John has signed on.
He said there's also going to bea few other surprises, including Garth Brooks.
Right interesting, so check this out. Of course, this is Spinal
tab an absolute call favorite. Robsaid in the podcast, we are making
(20:19):
a sequel. We're gonna start shootingat the end of February, and I
cannot wait for you guys to seethis, saying there's even more surprises.
I'm not giving away. That's nota sequel. I saw cover Wow,
all of yours Celebscoop West, MichiganStar dot Com. It's Mack and Schmitte
and you have you have discovered somethingthat is taken the world by store.
(20:41):
My friends are very deep into this, SCHMITTI really I would rethink that friendship
because all I'm doing here is judgingthis because I think it is so insane.
Are you a card collector? Andhere's the thing, I knew that
this was something with baseball cards, rookie cards. I always thought it was
more of a kind of a sportsthemed type of thing. And then over
(21:02):
the weekend, my little brother andsister in law were over, and my
little brother is very into this, and I watched an entire hour long YouTube
video of this guy unboxing Pokemon cards. He goes by Pokey rev on YouTube.
(21:22):
This is how stoked he gets aboutthings like this. Today, I'm
gonna be opening up the rarest andmost expensive pack of Pokemon cards ever made.
This is a heavy ten thousand dollarsfirst edition BaseT booster pack of Pokemon
cards. It's the first ever printingfrom the first ever set released in the
year nineteen ninety nine, and itis guaranteed to contain a holographic card inside.
(21:47):
Okay, that's another thing. Ididn't know the amount of holographic cards
that could cause you money. Oh, as my son would say, hollows.
Hollow's dad is the hollow. Sowe're sitting there and I want to
be fair watching an entire hour ofthis, and I'm trying to keep track
of this guy's math because he isspending fifteen hundred to seven thousand dollars on
(22:07):
all pack a Pokemon cards. Andso I post this to my Instagram because
my son, my five year old, has gotten into Pokemon cards now.
And my my brother is super stokedabout it. And that's what we're getting
my brother for Christmas. Like we'regonna go to Legends or whatever and get
them a bunch of cards to open. I don't I don't understand it at
all. When I posted about this, the stories I heard from people were
absolutely insane. I used to workwith this girl, Katie here, We're
(22:30):
still friends on Instagram. I postedthis up and she goes, don't even
get me started. I had noidea, but my husband's Poke cards.
Oh, I'm sorry, Pokemon.I don't know if I am I'm allowed
to, you know, no pocatShe said, my Pokemon cards paid off
our minivan six months after we boughtit brand new. What hit the Pokemon
(22:52):
cards he drew? I don't knowwhat they were. I don't know how
much she was paid. I mean, but like thousands of like fifty to
sixty thousand dollars on their van.Wow. And she was like, yeah,
paid it off. So now Ifeel like I can't say anything again.
I got messages from people that werelike, oh, this is my
second source of income. Have youever have you had any of your cards
(23:15):
Psaight, that's the thing you gota PSA ten. You've got a card
that's worth so much you're having themgraded. And I'm sitting there and I'm
like, I had no idea,And Chris goes, oh my gosh.
There's an entire side of YouTube thatis dedicated to this. Not only is
this kid making money from the cards, he has almost three million subscribers on
YouTube. He's just a full timeYouTuber now that opens Pokemon cards. Yeah,
(23:37):
it is inside. I had noidea. It's the gold rush for
nerdsty That's where we're at. Butlet's be honest. How many people have
paid off a minivan with Pokemon cards? But how many of you are seriously
in debt because you bought a fivethousand dollars pack. It's gambling. The
culture behind it is wild. Somy son thinks he's going to be a
(23:57):
YouTuber who unby his Pokemon cards. If you ask him what he wants to
be when he grows up, that'susually the first thing he says, I
know it hurts on the inside. That being said, it's crazy who's involved
in this. In some of thebig celebrities, they get behind this and
they do ransoms and bounties on peoplewho find cards. So yesterday you heard
me tell you about that one Ringcard, right, I was wrong.
(24:21):
It was a Magic the Gathering cardthat was done in conjunction with that whole
Lord of the Ring show on Amazon. But the one card was put into
a pack and none other than thisman himself, post Malone. Post Malone
wound up getting his hands on thatcard. It's worth two million dollars.
So is it just the card oris he into the card? Is he
(24:45):
a card collector? He is acard collector who's gotten into the scene,
especially with cards from Magic the Gathering. Okay, so give me other celebrities
because I'm not following what post Malone'sdoing. Post Malone is basically paying other
people to find his cards. Butlike athletes, even rappers like the Jake
Paul got huge YouTuber logan Paul,You're gonna have to give me more names.
I don't like any of the Pokemoncards chilling around his neck as right.
(25:11):
Well, And if you're paying peopleto do it, I want to
know real life people, not postma loans that are paying people to find
cards. I want to know ifyou are a card collector, regular average
joe, like the rest of usthat has actually come across something that has
paid you legitimate money. So far, I think the highest my brother has
(25:32):
gotten he did get a card thatwas fifteen hundred dollars and I was like,
okay, but how much did youspend to get there. It's funny
because I hear guys talk about itlike they bought apple stock in the nineteen
nineties but sold it sold it ona whim one time, because my little
brother does this constantly where he's like, oh, I remember when I had
an original Pikachu, lost it atschool, traded like all the yeah issues
(25:55):
I had these back in the nineties. I'd be a millionaire today if mom
would have just held on to mycards when I went to college. Well,
like you're not yeah, six onesix, four five eight, one
oh five seven. I am absolutelymind blown, Like this, can you
can you match a story of payingoff a brand new car with some card
that you have four five eight oneoh five to seven. I would love
(26:15):
to hear from you or someone youknow that had that happen. I mean,
like a lotto ticket that you canopen up after buying it from from
the grocery store, Like I gota back of a baseball cards cool Sea
points seven. We all know therapiesvery expensive, so we keep a cheap
salty smidty time, really so salty. I was thrilled to see this headline
(26:37):
yesterday. M DOT is upgrading wrongway signed with flashing lights. I wondered
when you're going to weigh in onthis, because we talk about this all
the time we do, and youknow what, it is that season once
again where I am absolutely mind blownat the people that don't understand how many
one way streets we have, especiallyin rapids. So m DOT made the
(27:00):
announcement they're partnering up with Michigan StatePolice to add flashing bright led lights around
every wrong way sign, especially onramps, on ramps and off ramps.
We can't even handle that. Imean, that's terrifying though, right,
somebody coming at you off an onramp in the wrong direction. Well,
and let's not joke. We've seena lot of stories this year where these
(27:22):
are catastrophic accidents. So John Richardsis from m DOT and he told Wood
TV the wrong way red signs havebeen in place for years, but now
they will flash repeatedly at the driver, alerting them they are going the wrong
way. These flashing LEDs are agame changer. Quote, if you don't
notice it, there's really something seriouslywrong going on. So to everybody who
(27:45):
can't understand why we can't have nicethings, this is why we literally have
to put sirens on wrong way signsbecause people are like, wow, hardly
any traffic this way. Guess I'lljust take it go stalky. Honestly,
even flashing bright led signs, MITTIgonna be way better than most of the
(28:06):
signs people are showing to those thatare driving the wrong way on those streets.
Just a little bit movies, musicand all the gossip in one place.
It's the celebrities gooop on Star oneoh five point seven. Well,
it's the people. We haven't heardfrom about the Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift
relationship just yet. Travis Kelcey's goodfriends. In a new report by People
(28:29):
magazine, Kelsey's very very close friendshave indicated the couple are very serious and
this relationship is not just a publicitystunt. According to the new report,
Travis's friends really think this is thereal deal for him. They are still
shocked by all of it. Makeno mistake that he is actually dating the
Taylor Swift, but they say thetwo of them are so down to earth
(28:51):
with friends and family, and theysay the romance is only growing because Kelsey
and Swift are very respective of theother's achievements. They're both really hard workers,
but Kelsey acknowledges her art is hersand he has with his what's his
and that's actually been something that worksreally really well for them. As for
Taylor Elid swifties noticed her private jetleaving Bracil yesterday and it looks to have
(29:18):
toucheddown in Kansas City, which meansquite possibly when the Chiefs take on the
Packers this Sunday once again, tSwift will be back in the stands.
You know, I would say theChiefs fans gotta be tired of this,
but he plays better and they winwhen she's around, so maybe not at
this point. Also, if youbring your kids to the game and they
get an autograph from Taylor Swift, ain't nobody mad about that? I love
(29:40):

as well. Oh gosh, yeah, I'm thinking like hygiene. But then
I'm also a teacher, so I'mthinking I'm telling him to read all the
time. Oh man, oh gosh, making his bed, making his bed.
Well, I know that when you'rein the military, you gotta make
(33:43):
sure those corners are tight and crispand looking perfectly, or else expect to
do some push ups something else torecruit might do a lot of making the

exciting. Thank ye. It shouldbe a great time. Congratulations to you
and Zeke. We'll do it againtomorrow. Battle of the Sexes each Weekday
eight fifteen here on Star. MerryChristmas, guys, Merry Christmas. Sometimes
because I get a good feeling well. I talked about service animals and the
(34:52):
riding side of therapy and feeling goodearlier this morning. And I've got another
horror story because you have to talkabout Rock War veteran Andrew Hanselman and his
service horse. That's right, hisAda service miniature horse ELI an unlikely pair,
but if you've been walking around Wyoming, then you've probably seen them from
(35:15):
time to time, and it's prettywild. Hanselman tells Fox seventeen it started
because of the terminator. He said, everybody knows Arnold Schwarzenegger while I was
on Facebook, and he does theselittle videos and he happens to have a
miniature donkey and a miniature horse. All of a sudden, I started getting
targeted ads for service many horses, which led me to Eli. And it's
(35:37):
a relationship that he holds very nearand dear to his heart. He says,
I sustained hundreds of mortars a rocket. I have a mild TBI and
very severe PTSD. Ever since I'vehad him, it has really helped me
out. I can't say that enough. It's also led him on a very
(35:57):
passionate project to make sure that ADAand the Americans with Disability Act, as
well as Service Animals continues to beat the forefront. He's helping with different
VA policies. It's pretty incredible. He has a second service miniature horse at
home named Hannah, who is stillin training. But as he tells Fox
seventeen, it doesn't matter even beinga part. The emotional attachment is unmatched.
(36:21):
I have this deep connection to him, even when he's outside just being
a horse. It's like I canfeel him because I'm so attached to him
emotionally. Yeah, Andrew does admitthe idea of having horses live inside their
house took a little getting used to, but his wife admits Eli has had
(36:43):
nothing short of an incredibly positive impacton healing. Andrew, I mean it's
a service pony. He's got servicepony. Sh MIDDI. I think it's
awesome until he wants to get onan airplane. Then maybe we're a little
overboard slightly. Andrew, you canfly with me anytime because I love miniature
horses and I would happily give upmy seat to that beauty. In all
right, this is really cool.I'm sure I know you saw this on
(37:04):
TikTok. Smitty, this is wild. But Kia's Sarenta owner Danielle Lettering her
TikTok account, just blew up withthis viral video of her vehicle after a
pretty bad fire. So the vehiclecomes in and what you see is a
melted dashboard, the seat's all completelyburned. I mean, this vehicle has
been completely torched. However, therewas one thing that survived, Schmitty,
(37:27):
her Stanley thermis. Everybody's so concernedabout if the Stanley spills, But what
about the fiery yesterday still has icein it? Not all they did is
Stanley Thermis not melt or burned, but yeah, still had ice in it
from her drink the day before. If you don't recognize Stanley, these are
(37:50):
the water bottles every single woman hasseen in every single video, Facebook,
Instagram, TikTok. My daughter isasking for these for Christmas, and so
were all of her friends. Apparently, no big well. This video went
nuts eighty eight million views on there. We're talking. It's just an insane
number of people seeing this, includingthe folks at Stanley who had a surprise
(38:13):
for Danielle. The president of thecompany, Terrence Riley, sharing this in
the stitch video. We're glad you'resafe. I've seen a lot of comments
that we should send you some Stanley's. While we're gonna send you some Stanley's.
But there's one more thing. We'venever done this before and we'll probably
never do it again, but we'dlove to replace your vehicle. Yeah yeah,
(38:36):
they're getting her a new car. They are getting going to replace that
Kia Sorrento, And obviously tons ofgreat publicity for Stanley Thurmis is coming out
of this. One's that they neededit. I'm like the amount of women
in my life with Stanley's that isa drop in the bucket to buy this
woman. See it's so funny too, because growing up to Stanley Thurmis to
me was like what my construction friendsall had. It was like a very
(39:00):
seemingly like Carhart almost But did theycome in aqua pink, nude, gray,
like what is your Stanley era?Man? This one They've got a
definite customer for life and a newvehicle coming her way for Danielle to I'll
put the video up for you atWest Michigan Star. Feel like Good always
here to show you something awesome goingon out there. Let's do it again
tomorrow at six forty five and nineto twenty every weekday here on Sorry Mack
(39:22):
and Schmidty in the morning weekday startingat six am on Star one oh five point seven
