Mac and Schmitty in the morning onWest Michigan's Christmas station Star one oh five
point seven. Good morning, Smitty, Hey, good morning. How are
you doing today? I Vegas caughtup with a little bit yesterday. No,
not at all. It has nothingto do with Vegas. There's just
something going around. I had absolutelyno voice yesterday. I actually was just
popping over to talk with Ali Mackon B ninety three. She's sounding rough,

(00:22):
So I don't know. Guys, take your take your essential oils,
your vitamin D, whatever you got, because that fall into winter thing is
here. But I'm back. I'mdoing my best, and uh, we're
gonna talk about what I did getto miss yesterday, which was hiking up
ten flights of stairs to try andget into work. Oh Schmitty, it
was. It was an eye openeras to just how my dreams of climbing

(00:42):
Everest and summoning peaks all over theworld is just folly, because yeah,
I'm so dead after ten stories ofstairs, been of a work fail yesterday.
What I'm interested to hear about isexactly what fault this is, because
what I heard is very different fromwhat I'm hearing from our salespeople. Oh
interest. Oh yes, we gotmultiple stories of uttle stories about why our

(01:03):
elevators were down yesterday. We're alsogoing to talk about living in the past,
because I caught my husband ordering somethinglast night that I did judge him
for quite seriously. I can't blamehim. The past is a nice place.
I'd go back if I could schmiddy, movies, music, and all
the gossip in one place. It'sthe celebrities goop on Star one oh five

(01:23):
point seven. Well, it'll beat least a few more days before anyone
sees Michael Strahan Waking Up America.Spokesperson for Good Morning America has confirmed the
fifty one year old co host willcontinue this hiatus that has been going on
for at least the last couple weeks. In fact, the former NFL player

(01:44):
last appeared on the show on Octobertwenty sixth. Fans have been asking a
lot of questions with no real answers. The spokesperson said, Michael will not
be with us. He is dealingwith some personal family matters. We do
appreciate everyone's thoughts and concerns. Nowthey're saying as Michael's well being, he
is doing okay. Doesn't sound likemaybe it has something to do with him

(02:05):
necessarily, they go. Everyone wisheshim the best as he deals with this
personal family matter, and the hopeis for him to get back to work
very very soon. But he's alsobeen missing Fox's NFL Sunday as well.
He has been completely absent from everything. Well, hopefully he's doing all right
and those close to him are aswell. But you know that now that
there's a statement like this out there, people are going to be digging to

(02:25):
the bottom of this show. Ohyeah, Dulipa is possibly becoming a billionaire
after some very big business moves.Check this out. Reportedly said to become
the wealthiest British female pop star inhistory. After she announced she is parting
ways with her management company, thestar has decided to actually buy all of

(02:49):
the rights to her publishing catalog andhas joined forces with her businessman dad.
This is interesting. The pair ofset up a company called Radical twenty two
Published Limited. It will manage allof DEWA's commercial assets. Days after she
announced she is cutting ties with herformer management company tap Dua wants to take
back control of her career and herdad just happens to be very hands on.

(03:12):
Now it's been met with some interestinglike is this weird because a lot
of people have tied her and herdad to kind of a Taylor Swift Scooter
Brawn relationship. But do is Peoplesay, no, not at all.
He is going to step in asher official business partner, but make no
mistake, he will prioritize his daughter'sbest interests. I think it's very interesting.

(03:34):
Yeah, working with family. Idon't know if that's the greatest idea.
I mean, ce Jamie Spears, see Jessica Simpson's and when you're talking
billions of potential dollars in the nextten years, and we'll see how well
that relationship pulls up. Finally,a big announcement. After the huge success
of the live action Super Mario Brothersmovie, we are now getting a live

(03:57):
action Legend of Zelda. Big bignews from Nintendo, who is teaming up
with Sony Pictures. Issuing a pressrelease yesterday. They have already started development
on this. Now. The directorbehind this, I'm really sorry. I'm
not even gonna attempt the name createdthe original Nintendo Entertainment System video game for

(04:17):
Legend of Zeldas this is a very, very big deal. That he is
going to be executive producing this,as well as the people behind Spider Man
across the Spider Verse and the MazeRunner trilogies, so big names and for
Zelda fans, they're super stoked aboutthis. Honey. I'll dork out for
a second. I'm not a bigvideo game guy, but one game I
loved as a kid on Nintendo sixtyfour Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time like

(04:42):
the greatest game ever. A lotof people really excited about this. I've
got kind of a sneak peek atearly looks along with your scoop at West
Michigan Star dot com. Good morningto you. It's Mack at Schmitty and
today a lot easier of a rideup to the ninth floor here that it
was yesterday, SCHMITTI, while youwere out, it was a whole lot
of middle aged men panting, sweating, yeah, and swearing as they had

(05:08):
to walk ten flights of stairs atyou know, five o'clock in the morning
ish just to get to our studiobecause our elevators were down. Yeah,
so I got I was up atabout one thirty two o'clock trying to fix
my throat and that's when I gotthe group text that the elevators had broken.
And I was actually on the phonewith one of our coworkers at three
forty five when he began his walkup the stairs. He got here a

(05:31):
half an hour early because he's like, I'm gonna have to go up these
ten flights of stairs. And here'sthe thing you need to know. These
are dangerous stairs. Yeah, thisis steep. They're they're hard, They're
like cement with lamin and over them. I have fallen down the stairs.
They are really really awful. Soit's like if you get tired and pass
out, you're done for. Plus, I want people to understand that there's

(05:54):
a real danger in this. Thatdoes it that gets underrepresented Middy Falling upstairs,
Yeah, is so painful because youaw land directly on your shin and
when you're trying to hustle your wayup ten flights of stairs almost three hundred
steps, you're bound to miss one. You're bound to miss one, and
then you take that frew all theway up and then you have to still

(06:16):
go up another six floors. Oh, it was brutal yesterday. So did
they figure out the problem here?Because I have heard mixed messaging. So
this is really interesting. I hearda confession directly from one of the two
people that claimed to be involved withthe reason why they went down. Our
sales team puts on sales initiatives everyyear and they do these big, elaborate
displays, and I think it's reallycool that they do it. But this

(06:38):
year it was out of this world, out of space, something along those
lines. And so they had allthis like astronaut attire, and they were
playing audio from the moon landing, really elaborate, and they were setting up
for it the night before, andwhen I heard was that there was a
fog machine that had been turned onand left on for a little too long,
because that does sound like our team. And then the floor filled up

(07:02):
with fog, which triggered all thesmoke alarms to go off, and the
alarms went in the building, andat ten point thirty at night, that's
what shut down all of the elevators, and there was no one who was
going to get here to turn themback on until the morning after all the
morning she arrived. Because I'm gettingon my social media yesterday and all I

(07:23):
see are pictures of this with everysingle person I follow writing no elevators were
affected in the making of this,so I don't know if they're trying to
keep it on the low down.I believe they are, or nobody knows
like who it was, because II have three different names that come to
my mind that are exactly who Iexpect. Your left a fog machine on

(07:46):
and shut down our elevation. Guaranteetwo out of the three are correct.
I wouldn't marry you more than twoguesses, and I think you'd get it
right here. But had to laughabout this because it's the second year in
Roschmidi where this sales expenditure has causedissues for specifically the other employees. Last
year they brought in goats and hayand all this other stuff, and the
guy they made set it up turnedout he was allergic to Hey busted out

(08:07):
into hives. The goats pooped allover the place, and that was the
last time programming. Why I'm noteven gonna take any qualms with programming.
Our custodial staff, that is whoI felt for, who weren't told anything
about this and suddenly got upstairs andovernight had to clean up feces for four
hours. They're the real MVPs ofour sales team, Smitty. When you
think, but what happened at yourwork? What was the major disaster that

(08:31):
made it so rough for all theemployees? We have it up on Facebook
right now. I gotta say,Amanda, real quick, smitty guy broke
an overhead waterline with a fork liftand flooded the entire plant. Woo,
that's a bad day right there. We have something similar, Amanda, only
ours dealt with a urinol and somebodywho didn't know how to properly use the
facilities a few weeks ago. Welllike, same, same, same.

(08:52):
We seem to work in the sameenvironment. It's wonderful, yeah, slightly
grosser just maybe sometime. Does thatget a good feeling? Let's dive run
into something positive to start today out. It's feeling good on Stametal five point
seven. Mackasmidty with you, andI'm gonna go across the pond because this
is some world class determination right herefrom a ten year old. As we

(09:13):
just got done talking a few minutesago, how exhausted we were climbing up
ten flights of stairs. Well, this ten year old, he's he's looking
at some at a six hundred andfifty six foot mountain, all to raise
money for kids with disabilities, becausethat's who he is. Luke Mortimer,
though, is determined to sum atthe Embassy Crag in North Yorkshire across the

(09:35):
pond there, and he's dubbing thisspeak his everest as he looks to do
it without legs or arms. Heis a quadruple amputee Schmitty. He was
just seven years old when he gotsevere bacterial infections, including meningitis, and
obviously he survived the deadly illness, but he lost all of his limbs,

(09:56):
his arms in both legs needed twentythree painful surgery over a ten week period
to replace missing skin and address thosewounds. I mean to be a seven
year old to lose your limbs likethat to an infection, and then by
the age of ten, what areyou doing while you're out there trying to
inspire other people to not let life'sobstacles get in your way, and you're
trying to climb your own personal everest. Adam Mortimer, Luke's dad, just

(10:18):
talked about what this climb would meanfor Luke and that he's definitely confident that
he's going to be able to pullthis off. So this walk for Luke
is a huge challenge. This iskind of like Luke's leverest. It's looked
at this empty crag for quite awhile since we've moved to Empster. It
will be the longest and probably thehighest that Luke's walked since his amputations.

(10:41):
So empty krag, I believe issix hundred and thirty six feet and the
whole walk is just under two milesand you know it's a long way to
go with your legs amputated. I'mreally confident, Luke. Yeah, he's
really confident Luke, and that confidencewas well justified. Luke completely did the
climb, got to the top ofthe crag and raised several thousand dollars in

(11:05):
donations for Limb Power, the BBC'sChildren in Need Foundation to help other kids
who have undergone amputee surgery. Beautiful. I am so thankful that we have
young people that are so focused onthe environment and I think this is so
cool. Jackson Wriggler is a miskegIn native that admits he was very inspired
growing up by the Great Lakes, and his fascination with the body of water

(11:30):
started at a very young age.And it has turned into a beautiful business.
So in high school. High school, right, Jackson was only seventeen
years old when he decided to dosomething about the pollution that was finding its
way into our Great Lakes. Hegot an internship at gbsu's Antiswater Research Center,

(11:50):
and that's when he realized that alot of issues were plaguing the Great
Lakes and that included funding that wascut to clean it out. He said
that pushed me to act, sohe decided to come up with his own
business. Back in twenty seventeen,Jackson founded something called Ashkey. It's a
local business that transforms plastic from theGreat Lakes into clothing. It's so cool,

(12:13):
Jackson says. Oshke is actually themeaning of fresh in Ojibwe, a
tribe native to the Great Lakes. So perfect. Jackson chose the name to
honor the Ojibway people's sustainable lifestyle andtheir commitment to preserving the Great Lakes for
future generations. After high school atMuskegan Catholic Central, he took off to
the University of Michigan, where hestarted to learn about grant funding and realized

(12:37):
how he could take this dream tothe next level. How does this whole
process work, he tells FAC seventeen. It starts in recycling centers. They
have to process, sort, andsanitize the plastic so that it's able to
be used on a post consumer level. So they chip it into a little
pellets and then spin it into polyesteryarn. Once that process is done,

(12:58):
it can be used just as anyother virgin polyester material. So this hoodie
I'm wearing is comprised of around eighteenplastic bottles worth of wasst all from the
US. And that's exactly what hedoes, over twenty two million pounds of
waste going to the Great Lakes everyyear. So he knows that he's got
a long way to go and he'sjust beginning. It's my focus moving forward,

(13:22):
just continue to increase that local aspect. A lot of companies are focusing
on sourcing sustainably, but their definitionis a lot different than mine. Yeah,
he said, a lot of ideasI have moving forward, and we
are going to increase our efforts tokeep the Great Lakes clean until there is
not an ounce of waste that goesin there and you get really cool clothes

(13:43):
because of it. This is awesome. I'm going to throw the link up
for you. You can actually shopJackson's place. He's got great ideas going
forward. And I just am sothankful that these young people are so excited
about living here, staying here andcleaning up here. I mean that is
like a genius business idea. Yeah, I'm already like, I buy stuff
where the company is like we planttrees when you buy any of that kind

(14:05):
of stuff, to do it witha local feel for our great lakes well,
and a lot of those companies arenot exactly doing what they are telling
you they're doing. To know thatJackson can show you the numbers of what
he's taking out of our great lakesis pretty cool. So check it out.
West Michigan Star will put it onour Instagram feeling good. I always
here to highlight amazing people out theredoing the most good, just like those

(14:26):
stories. And we will pick itup again for you this morning nine twenty
on Start one oh five point seven, Movies, music, and all the
gossip in one place. It's thecelebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
I will admit even this one caughtme very off guard. The rumor
that Reese Witherspoon and Kevin Costner aretogether. Very perfect timing, I guess

(14:52):
you could say, as Kevin hasofficially settled his divorce from ex Christine Baumcartner
after that very bitter fight. Meanwhile, much more amicably, Reese broke up
with her husband Jim Toff earlier thisyear. Now, you may not have
spotted them together because, according tosources, they're being very, very very

(15:13):
quiet about this. But they sayno one's surprised that Kevin and rees have
hit it off in such a greatway. They're extremely compatible. Apparently the
pair have been meeting up when they'rein the same city. Kevin's invited Reese
to join him at his sixty fiveacre ranch in Aspen a couple times,
but Kevin is very very focused onhis upcoming two part Western film Horizon,

(15:35):
and wants oscars, not tabloid headlines. Meanwhile, Reese has also been doing
a bunch of different things and workingon her fashion brand. But as soon
as things kind of calm down, according to these close friends, you may
see them getting a bit more comfortablein the public light together. Interesting.
I mean, I didn't see thiscomment twenty twenty one year age gap too.

(15:58):
I was curious about that him like, how old is Koster? But
I don't think that matters in Hollywood. Yeah, Britney Spears fans railed so
hard against music producer timbaland he's nowapologizing about comments that he made. So
this was back on October twenty ninth. He was at an interview at the
Kennedy Center for Performing Arts and oneof the fans in the Q and A

(16:21):
asked him how he felt about JustinTimberlake and the things that were going to
be mentioned about him in Britney's upcomingmemoir. I want to call it where
a girl. I wanted to callJT and say, you got to put
a muzzle on that girl. Now, JT and Timbland are close, they
worked together quite a bit, butBritney fans were less than enthused about this,

(16:45):
salamming the producer to the point wherehe actually had to do a TikTok
live yesterday, insisting he was sorryto all the Britney fans and even to
her, at one point speaking directlyto Britney saying, you have a voice,
you speak what you want to speak. To tell you what not to
speak. I was wrong for sayingthat, but I hope you see it
from the fact I was looking atit through a different lens. And what

(17:07):
I am is a reconcile person.I'm not a person who takes sides.
I see your point. Do yousee his point? I like to seek
compromise. I want to get toan agreement. That's just how I am.
I apologize for what I said.I apologize to the Britney fans,
and I apologize to Brittany. Youknow, it sounds like you were just
trying to make a dumb joke. And when you make a dumb joke and
you're as public of a celebrity asTimberland is, you're gonna get back.

(17:32):
Last fair to say you can makea joke on the internet period. Now
you're gonna get something. Finally,Lady Gaga has at least one person that's
not necessarily the biggest fan, herformer college classmate Carle want Out Now.
Carly is a Bachelor alum and showedup on ex Bachelor star Jason Tartick's podcast

(17:52):
Trading Secrets yesterday where she revealed, yeh, she wasn't the biggest fan of
Gaga when they were both at NYU'sTish School of the Arts. What I
was not a fan, no way. This is why, because I mean,
she's so talented, but I havea okay, still, like let
it out this, here we gotrading secrets. Here we go. Here's

(18:15):
a secret. So Stephanie used toduring lunch, she would play on the
piano. There's a piano because youwould eat just in like a dance studio,
and there's a piano. And shewould sit at the piano every single
day and just play and sing wickedat the top of her lungs every day

(18:37):
and we were all just trying toeat lunch. Yeah, she went on
to say it was a break andwe were forced to listen to her.
I'll be honest, I started eatinglunch in the hallway just to flee her
singing mean girl stuff. That's whatI hear. I hear some mean girls
coming out of future stuff. Yeah. The interview is all up with your
scoop West Michigan Star dot com.I just I think this is the weirdest
thing. And honestly, if you'verecently bought something like this, I'd love

(19:00):
for you to call us and tellme what you used it for. Six
one six, four five eight oneoh five seven because on my front porch
last night was an Amazon package fora ninety six DVD or CD holder portfolio.
Do you remember driving around in yourcar with the big zip up binders
full of CDs? Obviously? Yeah, my husband bought a brand new one

(19:22):
yesterday. I mean I had friendsand myself for very very brief moments in
time where that we're organized by eitherthe way you liked them or they were
alphabetical. In some cases, youhad, you know, your entire did
you put this? Did you putthe CDs jacket in the sleeves? And
well was that twenty years ago atleast for me, like mid nineties.

(19:44):
So I'm sitting in our living roomand I get the Amazon notification that it's
sitting on the front porch, alittle picture that you've sent and it's in
this clear packaging. So from myphone it looks like he's bought like a
business Ledger or something like that, because that's how big this thing with the
portfolio. And I go, oh, hey, babe, your package is
here from Amazon. And he lookedat me and he goes, oh,

(20:06):
I said, what is it like? Did you buy any Because he's already
bought a business Ledger. Don't askme why he did, But I said,
oh, did you have to buyanother one of those? He goes,
no, it's a CD case AndI was like, I'm sorry,
like a compact disc case. Youuse the full name like you're the angry
mom talking to the child. Igo why. He said, well,
I mean technically that's what it is, but I'm not using it for CDs.

(20:29):
It's like, oh, okay, good, and he goes, I'm
using it for DVDs. And I'mlike, I look around. I go,
I'm so sorry. I'm having astroke. Or is it not twenty
twenty three where someone has not pulleda DVD out? And I mean Netflix
literally just ended their ship DVD's twohouses programs. When's the last time you
heard someone with the phrase like ohI just picked that up on DVD.
Yes, So I give him thislook. I go, what are you

(20:52):
buying a DVD case for? Hesaid, listen. I was up in
the Up over the week, andhe took the kids up to the Up
while I was in Vegas some youknow, getting ready for hunting season.
And in the Up they have threechannels they can get at the cabin.
Oh, that's also the late that'sthe early nineties for me right there,
and that's just what we've been usedto. But my mother in law went
up with him as well, andhe goes, it was so hard,

(21:15):
babe. She didn't want to watchwesterns, which takes out an entire channel.
She didn't want to watch football, which took out the second channel.
He goes, we had nothing towatch. So I'm gonna dig my Blu
ray player out of storage and I'mgonna take it up to the cabin,
and then we're gonna have a bunchof movies. He goes, I've already
put all of our movies together.I said we had movies. He goes,
oh, my gosh, I founda box upstairs with like thirty DVDs

(21:36):
in it. His brother is gonnabring some, his cousin is gonna bring
some, and they needed a placeto store everything, so he bought a
ninety six pocket DVD case off Amazon, which I also didn't know they still
sold. I mean, I gottacommend him. All that makes logical sense.
For the middle of the woods inthe Upper Peninsula, where you're not
getting Wi Fi to save your life, you're not gonna be streaming nothing.

(21:57):
So that is almost on the oneside of things where it makes perfect sense
that being said, and it's becausethey live in the late nineties up there,
I feel like technology reaches them abouttwenty years. Well, well,
it's just and I'm looking at I'mlike, how much did you spend on
this? And I was okay,it was nine to ninety nine. Hang
on, guys, I'm black case. I'm gonna make I'm gonna make popcorn

(22:17):
for the movie. Let me juststart a fire real fast. The blue
one costs you fifteen ninety nine, and if you wanted the dark blue one,
it was almost twenty bucks. Sonow he's super excited because he's like,
I'm gonna check out like Best buyingstuff because I think a lot of
them are still clearing out some oftheir old inventory, and I bet I
can get some really great deals onDVDs. I said yes, also because

(22:38):
it's twenty twenty three. And again, I'll tell you, I don't know
anybody who has last bought a DVD, so you will probably score all the
sales. Bathe, they're gonna beso excited to see you walking in.
Why do I feel like he's gonnabe all over Facebook marketplace being like,
look at I just picked up onehundred and seventy five movies for twenty five
even they were practically giving it away. You had some weird like I've got

(23:00):
an old school purchase that you love, something you haven't given up. Maybe
you're still watching DVDs. I didnot mean to judge you at all.
It's not on a five point seven. It's Mack and Schmidty, and it
sounds like you broke a cardinal sinof Vegas, Smidty, and that is
what happens in Vegas, stays inVegas, and it is this week's I

(23:22):
mean, I don't even think that'sreally a thing anymore. And when I
was in Vegas over the weekend,if you missed it, I went on
this big mom's trip away. Itwas really fun and there were so many
things there that I knew, especiallymy five year old would love. I
took pictures of the big pirate shipoutside the Treasure Island, you know.
I saw a couple of like slotmachines that were Jurassic World themed, and

(23:45):
he loves dinosaurs, so I justmade sure that there were things I knew
he would think was really really cool. Oh my gosh, the New Garden
exhibit at the Bellagio. I don'tknow if you're headed to Vegas, but
it's absolutely stunning, and I wantedto make sure I had all these things
to show him when we got back. So we were sitting down Monday night
and I said, hey, buddy, I took a bunch of pictures when
I was in Las Vegas with thegirls. Here's some things I thought you

(24:07):
would think were really cool. He'slike, oh, wow, I can't
believe there's a boat there. AndI showed him the fountains and he's like,
wow, I can't believe he couldswim in that. I was like,
well, you can't. But andhe's so observant I forget that.
He also tends to notice things Imay have missed in pictures. So I'm
showing him this one I took ofthis guy that was doing something with fire
on the sidewalk of the strip, and what I don't realize is in the

(24:30):
background are two i would say, show girls from one of the shows that
were out there taking pictures. Likehaving people pay them to take pictures.
That's a profession. And he goes, oh wow, Mom, look at
them. They forgot to put tshirts on when they got dressed this morning,
and I was like, oh,they did, and they're not even

(24:51):
wearing their coats. It must beso chilly. And then I'm looking through
as I see my husband pop infrom the kitchen and go so maybe we're
gonna go ahead and che for anymore pictures before the kids get to see
just how your weekend was in Vegas. I'm surprised the hobby wasn't like,
hey, let me let me justtake a look at that photo real fast.
Yeah, the movies, music andall the gossip in one place.

(25:17):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one ohfive point seven. Well, it is
official, and at least my friendsand the social media circle are very excited
about this. Patrick Dempsey, doctorMcDreamy named People Magazines twenty twenty three Sexiest
Man Alive. It was announced lastnight on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and even

(25:40):
Jimmy himself said it's about time.Congratulations, thank you very much. What
took them so long is the onlyquestion I have Now. I'm just happy
they made a decision, and thatwas me this year. I'm very great.
Finally made the right decisions. Andit's true, you do get more
handsome every single year. Oh mygosh, the actor who is a silver

(26:00):
Stallion fifty seven till Jimmy never giveup on a dream after being named with
the title, and he said,it's been very flattering. You just have
to enjoy the moment when it happens. The year goes by so quickly.
Well schmiddy once again. You know, it was an honor just to be
nominated. It really was. Youknow what I love about Patrick Dempsey him
and his wife's relationship, His wifeJillian fifty seven. They've been together forever,

(26:22):
They've got kids, and they justspeak so highly of each other,
but are still very private. I'vealways been such a Patrick Dempsey fan.
Would you be as if you werePatrick Dempsey's wife, okay, would you
be ecstatic about how amazingly good lookingyour husband is? Or would you sit
there and go like, why don'tyou ever start to get less good looking?
I'm waiting for the fall down.Have you seen Jillian? So she's

(26:44):
like a high end Hollywood makeup artist, and so she herself is also like
a Benjamin Button, and the twoof them together get older and more beautiful,
and it's just please tell us whatyou're taking or what you're doing.
Megan Fox is out with a newpoetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,
and it has quite a few candidconfessions. She opens up about being in

(27:07):
multiple abusive relationships with very famous peopleover the years. She talks about her
relationship with current fiance Machine Gun Kelly, and in probably the most surprising confession,
she discusses getting past a miscarriage shesuffered at ten weeks anything like that
before in my life. I havethree kids, so it was very difficult

(27:30):
for both of us, and itsent us on a very wild journey together
and separately and together and apart andtogether and apart and together and apart,
trying to navigate what does this meanand why did this happen. She talks
about this with Colson, which isMachine Gun Kelly's true name. The two
apparently were really excited to be havinga child together, and she does go

(27:53):
into pretty deep detail in her poetryabout how challenging it was to come to
terms with something like that. Youknow, that was already an extremely intense
relationship on a lot of levels, but that is a just different circumstance of
intensity for sure. And finally,I'm glad this is apparently a thing.
Taylor Swift and Britney Mahomes are Instagramofficial. Yes, the friendship that everyone

(28:17):
has been wondering, whether it's publicity'ssunned or true life looks pretty lovely.
The wife of Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomesshared a personal pick from her girls weekend
in New York City, where shespends some very personal quality time with Taylor.
You can see her and Brittany's friendscheersing together looking very happy. This,

(28:37):
of course follows the day after Brittanywas seen out with Taylor, Selena
Gomez, Gigi Hadded, Sophie Turnerjust to name a few. She has
found herself in the girl gang.I mean, Britty Holmes got to be
so Ecstaticalhome. I can tell youright now the Chiefs better win a Super
Bowl because if they don't, theirfans are coming hard for Taylor. I
know this because she's basically trying tobe the Yoko Ono because if her and

(29:00):
Travis don't work out, schmitty. Now there's this awkwardness with Patrick Mahomes,
the quarterback and their bf sto.Only you'll go own old things going here.
Yeah, you don't say this aboutmen. Men never do this.
All right, all of your celibscoop at West Michigan Star dot com starting
a fine points see having Mack andSchmidty looking to get out another Christmas president
and we all know the holidays foodand drinks ooh, top of mind,

(29:22):
and this one is going to getyou ready for the season with an experience
of a whole lot of them.Schmitty. Yeah. The Grand Rapids International
Wine, Beer and Food Festival. If you can believe it, we are
getting so close. It officially opensnext Thursday with a VIP event, and
then it's Friday and Saturday at DebasPlace. Not to mention the Christmas shopping.
There's a ton of vendors there aswell. If you want to get

(29:45):
everybody marked off your list, we'regoing to get you in the Battle of
the sex is get today's number oneanswer? You've scored tickets one hundred women
surveyed. Name a winter activity thatmakes you sweat. It's not the top
answer, so I will just saysledding. It's not the going down,
it's the walking up. I wasgoing to see a cross country skiing wine
tour. Weirdly enough, six onesix, four five eight one oh five

(30:07):
seven caller seven. One hundred womensurveyed name a winter activity that makes you
sweat? Number one answer, andyou're going to the Grand Rapids International Wineber
Food Festival. One good morning, star, who's this? This is April

(30:32):
April. Where are you at thismorning? I'm in Grand Rapid April.
Let's try and get you into theGrand Rapids International Wine Beer in Food Festival.
But you gotta tell me when onehundred women in April were asked to
name a winter activity that makes yousweat, something make you hot even when
you're outside. What do you think? That top answer is, Well,

(30:52):
you said it wasn't cross under skiing. That was my first guest. Well,
I will say all I said isthat it was not. All I
said it was that it was notsledding, that it was not walking up
the hill after you're done going downthe hill. Oh, I thought you
could cross country skiing. Schmidtyen didsay cross country skiing. Well, I'm

(31:12):
gonna get shoveling, because I knowwhen I shovel I sweat. You know,
I thought I was gonna throw youoff a little bit there by bringing
up the skiing, because skiing wasactually the number two answer it doesn't say
cross country skiing. It just hisskiing on there, So I would have
counted that one, but it wouldhave only been the number two answers,

(31:33):
so you would have got it wrongif you would have went with Schmitty's one.
And it's a good thing you didn't, because shoveling is the top answer.
Congratulations. Well that's right, Wellthat's the only winter activity I do,
so yes, it was shoveling, followed by skiing, then hockey,
snowboarding and snowball fights, rounding outthose top answers there. Actually, but

(31:55):
you nailed it. We're all sweatingwhen we shovel, that's for sure.
I like to let the snow blowor do the work, but even that'll
get me tired from time to time. It's a lot of work, it
is, it is, and we'llbe doing it again soon enough. But
congratulations, you're gonna go to theGrand Rapids International Wine, Beer and Food
Festival. Well, thank you.I'm so excited. Yeah, it's gonna
be a great time. And moretickets tomorrow eight fifteen with Battle the Sex

missing her own dogs, who wereat home while she was facing treatment at
the hospital. Well, fast forwardto twenty twenty three, when Grace was

to when you join us for Helende Boss Children's Hospital Radio Fund coming up
in just about a month. Oh, I cannot wait. I'm ready for
that feeling good for me right now, SCHMIDDI has got to be one incredible
feeling for a Texas man who's stepdaughterdecided to pull in elaborate surprise. See
her name is Kaylee Olvera, andsince she was seven years old, her

(34:07):
stepfather, Remmel Derek has always beenthere for her literally every step of the
way, she told People Magazine sincethe age of seven, from track mates
to soccer practice, homecoming, graduation. Well now she's off as a college
student there in Texas. But shedecided she wanted to do pull in elaborate
surprise to ask Rammel something that he'sbeen waiting for for a long time.

(34:29):
So in the last couple of weeksthey were able to get together through this
sort of fancy maneuvering where she invitedher mom and Ramel to come and visit
her at school and She brought themout to dinner and gave him a series
of gifts that included a very nicepen and then in the bottom of the
gift box was something else, Andof course she had her camera rolling for
this incredible and emotional moment. Open. My biological father and real father are

happiness and words in my life.Thank you for watching out for me,
