Speaker 1 (00:00):
West Michigan's Christmas station. It's start one oh five point seven.
Good morning, It's schmitty. And I feel like every year
I get asked, this is it appropriate to give out
your Christmas list? And I think that's where it really
kind of like hangs people up. It's not necessarily me
asking you, hey.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Let me know what would you like for Christmas?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
It's me going, hey, here are the appropriate gifts for me?
And it always comes up because we do. I mean,
there's just so much gift giving in my family. I
come from a pretty big family, and now we've got
nieces and nephews between all of us spouses, and at
least for the siblings. We started to do a Secret Santa,
so we're not buying for everyone because we buy for
the kids and then we each choose someone. But it

(00:42):
feels like every year, you know, my parents are always like,
you know, what do you need? And then it feels
really bad to be like Bill money. If I could
be honest, but do you think it's appropriate to give
out a Christmas list? You find it helpful? Do you
find it tacky? Six one six four or five eight
one five seven? I know there's gonna be a lot.
I guarantee you we're like fifty to fifty on this.

(01:04):
With how people feel, it is a total etiquette question.
You either trust the person to know you well enough
to get you something you're gonna enjoy, or you're like,
ain't no way, I'm not getting another vacuum cleaner like
I did on Mother's Day.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Right, there's a few of you out there, I know
there is.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Four or five eight, one oh five seven, Or if
you're listening on our iHeartRadio app, you can go ahead
and hit that red microphone sends a talkback message right
into the studio. Yay or nay on the Christmas list.
Hey Brandy, listen.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
It's a great idea for my sister. Not a great
idea for my coworkers. Oh, you know, like my sister
who always gets me something that I don't want and
don't need. It's fine, I think too, like that, that's
a fine exchange. But you know, somebody at work, I
just feel like that's an overstep. Or like a friend
in the neighborhood, like that's too much. You can't do
that because I think, you know, for certain relationships, maybe

(01:57):
it's gonna just save a little time.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Wow, you're very kind.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
I don't know if I've ever gotten a coworker a
Chrischstmas gift, and I'm definitely not accepting a list from
a coworker four five eight, one oh five seven see
opposite end.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
I knew it was coming. Hey Mary, I think it's
a nacha.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I think, I guess is a gift and you should
be grateful and thoughtful for whatever you received.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I mean, I respect that, but like the teachers will
tell you, when it comes to Christmas gifts or end
of the year gifts, they're all.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Good on the homemade mugs. What do you think is
a Christmas list?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
TACKI you giving one out to family or friends? Give
me a call four or five eight, one oh five
seven Star one oh five point seven, West Michigan's Christmas Station.
Good morning at Schmidie. We're talking Christmas lists. Hey Star,
who's this?

Speaker 2 (02:50):
My name is Rose. What do you feel about giving
out Christmas lists?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I think it's a good idea only due to the
fact that my daughter in law said, wouldn't you rather
buy the kids something they want in a set of
a bunch of stuff they don't want?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Doesn't that make sense? It does?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
And you know, what.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I kind of fall on that side of it.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
I think I'd rather trust a list than try to
do something cute.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I'm probably not great.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
At that exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Well, thank you for your call, Rose, have a great morning.

Speaker 3 (03:16):

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
