Speaker 1 (00:00):
Movies, music, and all the gossip in one place. It's
the celebrities goop on Star one oh five point seven.
Well man, the guy just gets done beating non Hodgkin's
lymphoma and now he is back in another cancer battle.
Our thoughts are with Full House star Dave Coolier, diagnosed

(00:22):
with a type of tongue cancer. The sixty six year
old actor joined Today yesterday to give the announcement, saying
he's feeling good.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
So in October of this year, I went in for
a pet scan, just a routine check up, and something
flared on the pet scan and it turned out that
I have P sixteen squamous carcinoma at the base of
my tongue. So I said to the doctors, I said, well,
did this happen because of the lymphoman They said, totally unrelated.
So they said, well, now you're gonna have to go
through radiation. So I'm currently going through thirty five radiation treatments.

(00:54):
What's the prognosis. Prognosis is very good for P sixteen,
so it has a ninety plus curability rate.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Which is good news. Obviously, we really want to see
this healed, but Dave is very optimistic. He says he's
going to actually wrap up his radiation treatments December thirty first,
so he hopes to be ringing in that new year.
His new healthy self fame. Director Quentin Tarantino has officially
given his top ten best movies of the twenty first century,

(01:24):
which is naturally a big deal coming from one of
the greatest directors of the twenty first century. Appearing on
the Brett Easton Ellis podcast, he had quite a few
interesting ones making the list, he says, Lost in Translation
number three, Dunkirk is on the list, Zodiac and Midnight
in Paris, But that number one movie of all the

(01:47):
twenty first century, Black Hawk Down, he tells Brett. I
liked it when I first saw it, but I actually
think it was so intense it stopped working for me.
I didn't carry it with me the way that I
should have. I went back to watch it a few
more times. It's the only movie that actually goes completely
for an apocalypse now sense of purpose, visual effect, feeling,

(02:07):
and I think it achieves it, he said. He keeps
up the intensity the whole two hours and forty five minutes.
My heart was going through the entire run time of
the movie. If you know what made number two on
his list the second greatest movie of the twenty first century,
Toy Story three. So you know what, Quentin. I may

(02:29):
not have seen like any of these other ones, but
I can have a strong conversation about the woody buzz
Jesse friendship all day. Finally, a very beautiful note sent
from Taylor Swift to the Late One Direction singer Liam
Payne has officially gone up for auction. And get this,
it fetched almost ten thousand dollars. It was revealed last

(02:52):
month by Omega Auctions. The note was actually sent to
Liam ahead of their performance at the Capital FM jingle
Bell Ball in London. Taylor told Liam Long Time No Sea,
saying she was so excited as he was crushing it
out there, before praising one of his songs, writing Liam,
I'm so excited for you and I will always be

(03:13):
cheering you on. It's really cool stuff. Ten thousand dollars. Naturally,
the buyer's remaining anonymous, but I've got all the details.
You can see the note too. I mean for my swifties.
She's just the sweetest soul. Check it out at West
Michigan Star dot com. Coming up next, I've got your
Christmas Quiz and it's gonna score you Joe Bros. Tickets.
You want to be a Van Handel next Friday, and

(03:34):
I'd be listening next on Star one oh five point
seven
