Dua Lipa on Star one o five point seven Feel
good variety of the eighties till now. It's Adam Rocho
in for Schmidty this morning. She will be back on Monday.
And it's time to start your day with some positivity.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Sometime because I get a good feeling.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Yeah yeah, feeling good coming at you twice a morning
here on Star one oh five point seven. And this
one has a wonderful local tie and really shows the
importance of finding your people. I saw this article on
wood TVA. It's a group of guys who have gotten
together for New Year's Eve for the last seventy years. Yeah.
(00:41):
The tradition started back in nineteen fifty five when six
guys from Grand Rapids Christian High School spent Christmas and
New Year's in Florida together, and from then on out
they just decided to spend every New Year's together, even
through getting married having families of their own. Here's one
of them discussing how this all started.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
We ended up marrying girls who were either already good
friends or became friends, and that's how the whole gang
came together.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
I just love seeing their friendship. There's some incredible pictures
of the group getting together. They've been together through weddings
and life's biggest moments, and even though some of them
have now passed away and gone to heaven. Is what
he said. It is just an incredible tradition that again
span seventy years. Some of us are lucky enough to
make it to seventy years, let alone have friendships that
(01:33):
last that long. And again, I really think this shows
the importance and the value of chosen family. Yes, we
all have our biological families, but chosen family is so important.
I got to spend New Year's Eve with some really
good friends of mine, watching our kids play together and interact,
and we've been friends for almost twenty years now. So
(01:53):
find those people in your life. It is so so important.
We'll have feeling good coming up again this morning at
nine twenty here on Star one oh five point seven
