Feelin Good - Free Rent for the Holidays

Well, let's start the day with a little bit of positivity,
all right, Star one oh five point seven's feeling good.
You know what would you do if you got free rent? Well,
some folks in Virginia got to find out their landlord
giving their tenants free rent for the holidays. Here's the
landlord talking about it.

I know what it's like to have a housing crisis
and instability when it comes to rent, because I myself
have struggled in the past, so I know exactly how
it feels. So that's what inspired me to give my
tenants free rent for the holidays.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah, just a landlord who has been through it, who
is now obviously in a much better place. He owned
some properties and he just wanted to give his tenants
a little bit of a break during the holidays, so
he waived their rent for November and December. The tenants
saying that the relief has eased financial pressure during the
holidays while they're balancing other major expenses. And it's even

going beyond this. The Gesture has since expanded into a
new foundation aimed at helping more families and single parents
with rent or mortgage support. I just love this so much,
you know, rent is the thing that has gone up
so much rent housing prices, and it can be so
tough out there to give your kids a great Christmas

to that landlord. Gosh, I wish my bank would just say, hey,
you could have a break from your mortgage every once
