Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning. It is Star one oh five point seven.
I'm Schmidty. We are talking about destressing. So I feel
like a lot of people have been talking to me
about this recently, because no matter how much you prepare,
all of a sudden, you're in the bur months. That's
what I call them. It's like September, October, November, December,
the burm months, and it's a blink of an eye
and you have to fit a million different magical moments

(00:23):
in it. Right, So we are officially like almost halfway
halfway through October. My kids like don't have their costumes yet.
I feel like I don't have plans for Halloween night
and it's a Friday, which barely ever happens, so I
feel like you gotta go big. Then all of a sudden,
I'm talking about hosting Thanksgiving? What family is coming? Do
we have room for everyone? And then you know what's

(00:44):
happening in just a few short weeks, so we're gonna
start hearing Christmas music. So I just felt like, ooh,
the last few days, I won't lie to you, being
completely open, I've had a he little panic attacks, a
couple of good studio cries because it just feels like
a lot, and I'm curious about your go to destress method.

(01:05):
I'm actually live on TikTok right now if you follow
at Schmidt Underscore in the mid and I've got some
really cool ideas from people that are on here, and
when I have to point out from Nick, he talked
about breakroom therapy on Clyde Park, hearing from Rapids. It's
like a rage room, but they have like an assortment
of different things you can use, including cast iron pans.

(01:27):
And for some reason, I feel like like being able
to just smack something with a cast iron pan would
really get some of my like bad stress energy out.
Six one six four five eight one oh five seven
your go to destress method, I've got it on Facebook.
Aaron says she loves reading or listening to good music,

(01:49):
and I said, what is a good band that really
calms you down? She called out the Greatest Showman Soundtrack,
but says Taylor Swift's new album is kind of creeping
up in there for really helping her cope with some stress. Mary,
I take my lab for a walk and I drink
a glass of wine. Wooh, your girl loves a wine walk.
Loves a wine walk. I highly highly recommend nature walk,

(02:13):
says Chris. This is interesting. Steve says he watches soccer
or golf. I love the golf idea like I could
nap to golf. Soccer stresses me out, though, that's up
there with like football and baseball. Six one six, four
five eight, one oh five seven. What is your go
to destressing method? Got this talk back on our iHeartRadio app.

(02:35):
I take it when I get help from work. I
just get comfortable and sleep for about two hours, and
that really helps relieve the stress of the day. Okay,
two hours is actually very wise because then you run
the risk of being groggy or whatever. I can lay
my head down for like a four and a half
hour snooze. It's like rem cycle. I'm living a very

(02:55):
very unhealthy life though. Four five eight one oh five seven.
Sharing your go to de stressor I've got a ritual soon.
I'm silence life slow, and I either take a long
hot shower or pour myself something good to sip on
while I scroll aimlessly until my brain finally shuts up.
It's nothing fancy, but it works doom scrolling and stress relief,

(03:21):
all right, I mean, I will give it a try. Girl,
I'm gonna trust your research. Six one six, four five eight,
one oh five seven. What is your go to de
stress plan? Help your girl out. We're having a little
bit of panic with everything that's got to be done
before the end of twenty twenty five, and the fact
that I just said twenty twenty five is coming to
an end stresses me out, all right. Six one six,

(03:43):
four five eight one oh five seven, And we're talking
about ways you d stress. Good morning star. Who's this Mary?
How are you? Oh? Mary, I'm fantastic. Where are you
calling from? Wyoming? All right, Mary, do you have a
great method that helps you cut down on the stress? Well? Almost,
it's kind of that's so great, but good I think

(04:06):
I actually take my xanats. I take a couple of
them and I'm done. Oh girls, see, we do not
we do not judge that it's fantastic. I have actually
quite a few friends that have kind of started to
talk to the therapists in their life and they're like, listen,
you need a little something. It's okay because we all
need to sleep and calm down. So Mary, you are
living your best life. Girl. I can take one and

(04:27):
I'm fine. I take two. Of them out and now
you know your limits. Mary, thank you so much for
calling
