Parent Confessions - New Year's Eve

the eighties till now. Good morning to you. My name
is Adam Rocho in for Schmidty today. She will be
back on Friday. And it's Wednesday, and I'm a parent.
I have twin four year olds at home, a boy
and a girl. So it's time to get into our
weekly parent confessions. Now I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

Tonight is New Year's Eve, and my daughter, she is
an absolute party animal. Even yesterday she wasn't feeling very well,
so she took a nap during the day and then
she said to me and my wife, Hey, since I
napped today, doesn't that mean I get to stay up
super super extra late tonight. And we said, no, you
don't feel good, you have to go to bed. But
she of course wants to stay up until midnight tonight.

And as any parent would know, throwing off the sleep
schedule it's just not a thing. I mean, look at
daylight savings time. Anytime their sleep is thrown off, mom
and dad, sleep is thrown off. So we're doing what
most of you do tonight. We are counting down the
new year by watching a countdown on Netflix and Thank
you so much to our friends at Netflix for putting

up tons of different countdownains with different characters. So at
about seven thirty tonight, it's actually gonna be midnight, And
I know my wife's gonna get up early this morning
and change all of the clocks in the house because yeah,
now that they're four, they can kind of tell time,
and so we've got to go extra hard at it
this year to keep the illusion going that they're staying
up till midnight. Are there any parents out there who
