Speaker 1 (00:00):
Little Whitney for your Tuesday. It's start one oh five
point seven Smitty so salty, all right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I feel like a lot of you are going to
be on my side about this. Okay, every Tuesday I
get to vent a bit, call it salty Schmidy, because
I'm pretty salty about this. I'm salty about people who
feel the need to judge whether you've taken down your
Christmas tree yet or not. So I'm gonna tell you
the Schmitty House still has theirs up. Now. We did
(00:27):
take the ornaments down because my brother and sister in
law came for the New Year, and they have an
eighteen month old, so I knew if I wanted any
of those ornaments to remain intact, I needed to pack
them away.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
But the tree is still up and lit. But I
like it.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
I think that nice soft glow of Christmas lights is
like the only thing that's gonna get me through. And
here's the thing. I just found a fabulous article in
the Atlantic, so I'm pretty sure that's legit, and it said, listen,
it's not about Christmas or Hanukah or any specific celebration.
It's about finding ways to make it through. The winter
dull drums. Now, this is from the executive director of
(01:06):
the American Christmas Tree Association.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
So he may be biased, but he's correct, So don't
come at me.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
I might keep my tree up until March. She's still
drinking water like a champ. She's still perky, happy.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
It smells nice.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
So the next time someone gives you trash for still
having your Christmas tree up, go you know what. Mentally,
I bet him better than you.
