The Inflatable Costume

My name is Schmidi, and we are talking Halloween because,
of course, depending on what your trigger treat schedule looks like.
For my kids, it is this Friday, and may I say,
thank the Lord it is a Friday night. I don't
have to worry about chocolate overdosing. I don't have to
worry about getting them out of bed for school the
next day. It's nice. I'm digging and it's a Friday.
But I was talking about it earlier this morning, and

right here in the studio. And this person has one
major problem with costumes this year. I thought this was interesting.

There are way too many inflatable Halloween costumes out there
these days.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
They just seem lazy.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I missed the days when people used to put in
a ton of effort into their costumes. You know, you
break out the makeup and the crazy outfits, and inflatable
costumes are just way too simple.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So here's the thing. I figure you do you, but
I will argue you on the inflatable costumes, it takes
more physical effort. So there was a year one of
my younger brothers went as the Staypuff marshmallow Man from
Ghostbusters and it was an inflatable costume, and he came
downtown Grand Rapids to do some partying. He was in college,

and he took the bus, you know, like a responsible
young man. He took the Laker Line and he had
to inflate and reflate himself every time he got off
the bus because he couldn't fit. But he couldn't walk
on and then reinflates and he couldn't sit down. So
these wonderful bus drivers which just wait and I can't

imagine what you will have to deal with on a
Friday night Halloween. God bless that's amazing
