We'll start with violence Overseas. Two gunmen opening fire during
a Hanakah celebration in Sydney, Australia, happened on Bondai Beach,

killing at least fifteen people, including a child, according to
the Prime Minister, calling this an act of anti Semitic
terrorism that's struck at the heart of the nation, and
authorities are now saying the shooters were father and son.
The massacre was at Australia's most popular beach, following a
wave of anti Semitic attacks that have roiled through the

country over the past year. Here is one bystander talking
about how long it seemed to go.

We heard the sirens not that long after. But I
think what was the most like shocking was how long
the gun vi lasted, like the shots were going on
for ages, by multiple minutes. It felt like, as I said,
I went up the hill just kind of look over.
We couldn't see it, but the gunshots were really near us.
In terms of how lard they were, So yeah, it was,

it was scary.

In dramatic video, one bystander is actually seen charging at
one of the gunmen, disarming him and pushing him to
the ground. A fifty year old man was fatally shot
by police. His twenty four year old son wounded and
being treated at a hospital. Police said one gunman was
known to security services, but authoritiesaid no indication of a

planned attack. Those killed were aged between ten and eighty seven.
At least forty two others are being treated at hospitals
as of this morning, several of them in critical condition. Unfortunately,
not the only violence over the weekend. Brown University in
Rhode Island facing a shooting over the weekend that killed
two students and injured nine more. However, breaking this morning,

a person of interest that was detained has been released. Currently,
there is no suspect in custody. The release of that
one per said law Law enforcement said they are trying
to redouble their efforts in the investigation to canvas video
surveillance that could help pinpoint the identity of this person.
Attorney General said, we have a murderer out there. The

news is likely to cause fresh anxiety for our community,
but we will do everything in our power to find
out who is behind this here locally, the principle of
a Grand Haven Middle school has passed away. Grand Haven
Superintendent announcing the death of Michael Shelton. He was the
principle of White Pines Intermediate. He passed peacefully yesterday morning,

surrounded by loved ones. Counselors will be available at the
school and throughout the district today and families are able
to reach out for counseling. No service information has been
shared in the sports world. It was a tough loss
yesterday and now it is down to the wire for
our Detroit Lions after suffering a forty one thirty four
loss to the conference leading La Rams. With three games

to go, the Lions are running out of time. They
must win each one for their chance at the playoffs.
The Pistons, however, tying an NBA record for scoring balance.
They had an awesome one forty two to one fifteen
win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, and Michigan
with another big win, taken out Maryland one oh one
